Séjour fantastique !

Cet hôtel et son personnel sont tout simplement incroyables. Nous sommes des clients fidèles et chaque séjour est meilleur que le précédent. Nous avons séjourné au Level lors de ce voyage et l'hébergement était incomparable. J'adore le fait que ce soit un complexe hôtelier qui accepte les animaux domestiques et que ceux-ci soient très appréciés par le personnel et les clients. Le hall d'entrée est l'endroit le plus confortable et vous n'aurez aucun mal à trouver un endroit où vous asseoir et vou [... lire plus]s détendre. Le personnel travaille 24 heures sur 24 pour que le hall reste propre et accueillant. La nourriture et le service dans tous les restaurants étaient tout simplement excellents ! À quelques pas de l'océan et avec un accès gratuit au golf ! Que demander de plus ? Je reviendrai sans hésiter dans cet hôtel.

Fantastic Stay! This hotel and it's staff are just amazing. We are repeat guests and it gets better every time. We stayed at the Level on this trip and the accommodation was second to none. I love that it is a pet friendly resort and the pets that live there are well loved by staff and guests. The lobby is the coziest place and you will never have a problem finding a place to sit and relax. Staff work around the clock to keep the lobby clean and inviting The food and service at all the restaurants were simply the best! Steps away from the ocean and free golf! What else can you ask for? I will definitely return to this resort.

Magnifique complexe hôtelier

Cet hôtel était incroyable. Mon ami et moi avions réservé une chambre standard. Nous n'avons pas jugé nécessaire de réserver une chambre Level, car il y avait trop d'escaliers. Notre chambre était impeccablement propre, avec beaucoup d'espace de rangement et des lits très confortables. La climatisation était parfaite et notre balcon donnait sur le terrain de golf. Notre femme de chambre, Odalys, était excellente, elle nous fournissait chaque jour des serviettes propres, du linge de lit propre e [... lire plus]t beaucoup d'eau. C'était super d'avoir un coffre-fort dans la chambre. Un grand merci à tout le personnel, ils étaient si gentils, joyeux et toujours prêts à nous rendre service. Pour n'en citer que quelques-uns, Julio, Cecilio, Dany, Yuslay (particulièrement adorable), Guiseppi, Yanellis et Elizabeth à la réception, ainsi que les deux « enfants » que j'aurais voulu adopter, Laurie et Adrian, et la gérante du bar, dont je ne me souviens malheureusement plus du nom. La nourriture était très bonne, en particulier les omelettes du matin, et bien sûr le pain et les glaces, délicieux. Les plages étaient fabuleuses, idéales pour se promener au bord de l'eau. Le bar et les toilettes de la plage étaient pratiques. La piscine était superbe et pas du tout bondée. C'était agréable de s'allonger, de se détendre et de lire un livre. Étant une amoureuse des chats, j'ai adoré tous ces chats bien soignés et choyés, qui adoraient se prélasser au soleil. Nous avons pris quatre repas au restaurant spécialisé et ils étaient délicieux. Je reviendrai sans hésiter dans ce complexe. Les gens ont si peu. Nous avons apporté beaucoup de choses pour le personnel et leurs enfants, et ils nous en sont très reconnaissants. La situation actuelle me brise le cœur, tous les hôtels ferment et ces gens merveilleux ne peuvent plus travailler. Ils ont si peu, mais ils sont si aimants.

Beautiful Resort This hotel was amazing. My friend and I had a regular room in the hotel. Did not see any need to book the Level, too many stairs. .Our room was spotlessly clean, lots of storage room and such comfortable beds. The air conditioning was perfect and our balcony overlooked the golf course/ Our room maid, Odalys, was excellent, supplied us every day with clean towels, clean bed linen and lots of water. Great to have a safe in the room. Big thank you to all the staff, they were so kind, happy and could not do enough for us. To name a few, Julio, Cecilio, Dany, Yuslay (especially sweet) Guiseppi, Yanellis & Elizabeth at the front desk and the two "kids" I wanted to adopt, Laurie and Adrian, and the lady bar manager, sorry I can't remember her name. The food was very good, especially the omlettes in the morning, and of course the bread and the ice cream yummy. The beaches were fabulous, lovely for going for a stroll along the water. Beach bar and toilets were convenient on the beach.The swimming pool was great, and not busy at all. Lovely to lie and relax and read your book. Being a cat person, I loved all the well groomed cats who were very well looked after, they loved to lounge in the sun. We had four meals at the speciality restaurant and they were delicious. Will definitely come back to this resort, The people have so little. We brought lots of stuff down for the staff and their children, and they are so grateful. It just breaks my heart with the situation at the moment, all the hotels closing and the beautiful people not being able to work and they have so little yet are so loving,

J'adore ce complexe hôtelier

J'ai passé un merveilleux séjour au Melia Las Americas. Nous avions initialement réservé pour 14 jours, mais nous avons dû rentrer 4 jours plus tôt en raison des problèmes persistants de pénurie de carburant à Cuba. L'hôtel a fait un travail fantastique pendant notre séjour. C'était ma troisième visite dans ce complexe hôtelier et je le recommanderais sans hésiter à tous ceux qui recherchent une belle plage, un cadre magnifique et, surtout, un personnel absolument incroyable. Ils ont été formid [... lire plus]ables face à la situation, on ne pouvait pas le deviner, ils avaient toujours le sourire aux lèvres. Je ne comprends pas pourquoi vous me demandez mon adresse e-mail alors que c'est vous qui m'avez envoyé ce message par e-mail ?

Love this resort I had a wonderful time at Melia Las Americas. WE were originally booked for 14 days,however had to return 4 days early, because of ongoing problem with cuba having fuel shortages. The hotel did a fantastic job during our stay, it was my third time at this resort and I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful beach, beautiful grounds, and more importantly absolutely amazing staff.. They were wonderful event facing what they have to face, you couldn’t tell, always a smile on their faces. Not sure why below youre asking for my email when it was you who sent this to me by email??

La plage et la station balnéaire sont absolument magnifiques !

Je souhaitais partager mon avis sur le séjour qu'Eliana nous a organisé au Melia Las Americas à Varadero en février dernier. La plage était absolument magnifique, avec son sable blanc et fin et son eau claire et propre. Elle ne semblait jamais bondée ; il y avait toujours beaucoup d'espace et nous pouvions facilement trouver des chaises longues et des parasols disponibles. Il en allait de même pour la piscine, qui était calme et relaxante, avec très peu de monde. Bien que les chambres soient  [... lire plus]un peu vieillottes et auraient besoin d'être rafraîchies, elles étaient propres et disposaient de tout ce dont nous avions besoin. L'hôtel lui-même était toutefois fantastique et très bien entretenu. La longue terrasse qui s'étendait sur toute la longueur de la propriété était impressionnante, meublée de beaux sièges et offrant une vue sur la plage depuis presque partout. Il y avait beaucoup d'espace pour que tout le monde puisse se détendre confortablement. Nous avons été agréablement surpris par la qualité et la variété du buffet, qui proposait des plats pour tous les goûts. Il y avait également un large choix d'alcools, notamment du vin tout à fait buvable. Les restaurants à la carte étaient bons et il était relativement facile d'obtenir une réservation. Le service dans tout le complexe était très bon, et le représentant de Sunwing était particulièrement serviable, patient et sympathique. De notre point de vue, cet hôtel offrait plus de charme et de meilleures vues que les autres complexes situés sur la même plage. La plupart des clients semblaient être des groupes de golfeurs, car l'hôtel se trouve à quelques pas du terrain de golf. Les animations étaient minimes pendant la journée et limitées le soir, ce qui n'est peut-être pas idéal si vous recherchez des activités animées. The beach and resort absolutely beautiful! I wanted to share my feedback about the stay Eliana arranged for us at Melia Las Americas in Varadero this February. The beach was absolutely beautiful — soft white sand and clear, clean water. It never felt overcrowded; there was always plenty of space and we could easily find available chairs and umbrellas. The same was true for the pool area, which was quiet and relaxing with very few people. Although the rooms are a bit dated and could use some refreshing, they were clean and had everything we needed. The hotel itself, however, was fantastic and very well maintained. The long terrace running the length of the property was impressive, furnished with beautiful seating and offering a beach view from almost anywhere. There was plenty of space for everyone to relax comfortably. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of the buffet food — there was something for every taste. There was also a wide selection of alcohol, including wine that was quite drinkable. The à la carte restaurants were good and reservations were relatively easy to get. Service throughout the resort was very good, and the Sunwing representative was especially helpful, patient, and friendly. From our perspective, this hotel offered more charm and better views than the other resorts along the same stretch of beach. Most guests seemed to be golf groups, since the hotel is within walking distance of the golf course. Entertainment was minimal during the day and limited in the evening, so it may not be ideal if lively activities are a priority. Overall, we would definitely return to this hotel and we highly recommend it. Thank you again for arranging a wonderful trip.

Cuba souffre clairement, et cela se voit dans les complexes hôteliers et les terrains de golf. Le simple fait de se procurer des fournitures pour les toilettes du hall principal (savon pour les mains, papier hygiénique) semblait poser problème au personnel. Dans l'ensemble, le complexe hôtelier est bien agencé et offre une vue magnifique sur l'océan. La plage est agréable, mais l'entretien et le nettoyage des algues laissaient à désirer (un type conduit un tracteur qui traîne et broie les algues [... lire plus], ce qui rend la plage peu agréable à fouler). L'eau est agréable et ne contient pas d'algues flottantes. La semaine où nous étions là-bas, il faisait froid et il y avait beaucoup de vent, nous ne sommes donc allés dans l'eau qu'une seule fois. Même les piscines, qui avaient l'air agréables, étaient désertes en raison de la température. Le terrain de golf a besoin d'être vraiment entretenu, mais les employés sont trop occupés à vendre des balles de golf pour s'en occuper. Ils ne tondent les greens qu'une fois (voire deux) par semaine. Ils manquent de machines et ne semblent pas pressés de les remplacer. Les voiturettes sont correctes, mais il n'y en a clairement pas assez et le personnel disait que la direction ne se dépêchait pas de les réparer ou d'en acheter de nouvelles. Les tees avaient très peu d'herbe, la plupart n'étaient donc que du sable. Les fairways étaient corrects, mais très secs. Les greens étaient très bosselés et lents. Mais il ne faut pas oublier que vous êtes à Cuba. Le golf est annoncé comme inclus, mais à 44 $ US par joueur, cela équivaut à 130 $ CA pour nous deux à chaque partie. Ils devraient simplement indiquer ce coût, car il est impossible de marcher. La nourriture était étonnamment très bonne et très variée. La bière et le vin étaient agréables. Les restaurants spécialisés offraient une pause agréable par rapport à la salle à manger. La plupart des personnes que nous avons rencontrées et qui avaient opté pour le surclassement LEVEL ne pensaient pas que cela en valait la peine. Notre chambre était très agréable et propre. Les douches étaient toujours avec de l'eau tiède. Les pourboires étaient exagérés. Le personnel était très reconnaissant lorsque nous leur avons laissé des vêtements (par exemple, un coupe-vent, une casquette de golf, quelques robes, etc. Pour le prix, c'était bien, mais il faut gérer ses attentes.

Making the best! Cuba is definitely hurting and you can start to see if in the resorts and golf course. Just getting simple supplies for washrooms withing main lobby (ie. hand soap, toilet paper) seemed to be an issue for the staff. Overall the resort is a nice layout with beautiful views of the ocean. The beach is nice but the maintenance of cleaning up the seaweed was bad (some guy drives a tracker sort of dragging and mulching up the seaweed so it never if all that nice to walk on. The water is nice and didnt have seaweed floating in it. The week we were there it was chilly and extremely windy so in the week we were there, we went in water once. Even the pools which looked nice didnt have anyone in them due to temp. The golf course needs some real care but the workers are too busy selling golf balls vs working. They only cut greens once (maybe twice) during week. They are short on machinery and don't seem to be in a rush to replace them. The carts are ok but they are definitely short of them and staff was saying management wasn't being quick to fix or bring new ones in. The tees had very little grass so most tees were simply sand. Fairways were ok but very dry. The greens were running really bumpy and slow. But you have to remember you are in Cuba. Advertised as golf included but at $44USD per player, this equated to $130 CDN for 2 of us each round. They should simply state that as the cost as you cant walk. The food was surprisingly really good with lots of variety. Beer and wine were enjoyable. The specialty restaurants were a nice break from Dining hall. Most people that we met that had the LEVEL upgrade didn't think it was worth it. Our room was very nice and clean. Showers were always with luke warm water. Tipping was crazy. It seemed (although not mandatory) that people were tipping for every drink, every meal, every visit to the grill, guys getting carts ready, etc. Did make you feel guilty when you didnt tip. Staff was very grateful when we left clothing items for them (eg. windbreaker, golf cap, couple dresses, etc. For the price it was good but need to manage expectations.

Hotel review The Level Suites Suites are showing signs of wear. The Oceanview Level suits had very poor showers. Often no pressure and Luke warm. The food in the buffet was just ok. They changed to coffee machines vs. Waiters serving coffee, so it created big line ups A lot of the path lighting was out or damaged. We asked that the bulb outside out unit be changed on the first day and they never did get it done.

Superbe complexe hôtelier

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce complexe hôtelier. La chambre, la nourriture, le personnel et la plage étaient formidables. Les animations proposées dans le hall et le théâtre étaient très bien. Le golf était agréable, même si les greens étaient un peu rugueux. La vue était magnifique.

Great resort We had a great time at this resort. Room, food , staff and beach were wonderful. The entertainment was good at the lobby and theatre. The golf was good the greens were a little rough. The views were great.

Magnifique complexe hôtelier

L'hôtel et les jardins étaient bien entretenus. Nous avons séjourné dans la partie « The Level » du complexe. Le personnel était très serviable et répondait à toutes nos demandes. Les piscines étaient propres et les espaces détente autour étaient bien aménagés. La nourriture dans tout le complexe était bien préparée et meilleure que prévu. Nous avons profité du terrain de golf situé juste à côté. Je reviendrai dans ce complexe car j'y ai passé d'excellentes vacances.

Wonderful resort The hotel and grounds were well kept. We did stay in The Level portion of the resort. The staff were very helpful with any of our requests. The pools were clean and the seating areas around them were well laid out. The food throughout the resort was well prepared and better than anticipated. We did take advantage of the golf course next door. I would return to this resort as it was a great holiday.

Je viens de rentrer de vacances. C'était la première fois que je retournais à Cuba depuis plus de 10 ans. Comme d'autres, j'ai trouvé que la nourriture à Cuba n'était pas très bonne et c'est pour cette raison que j'ai choisi d'autres destinations. Great Resort Just got back from my vacation. It was my first time back in Cuba for over 10 years. I like others have felt the food in Cuba was not very good and for that reason went to other destinations. Well I am glad I gave it another chance ! Not only was the food good bit the service was fantastic. Great location with golf and beach, wonderful staff that were very friendly. I will definitely be going back

Deuxième voyage au Melia Las Americas

C'était notre deuxième séjour dans cet hôtel. Il y a une grande différence entre la première fois, avant l'arrivée de Covid, et aujourd'hui. La première fois, nous avons séjourné dans l'hôtel principal et la deuxième fois, nous sommes passés au niveau supérieur. Nous avons pensé que le surclassement était une bonne idée, mais si vous ne pouvez pas vous le permettre, vous serez parfaitement à l'aise dans le bâtiment principal. La plage ici est honnêtement l'une des meilleures... Il n'y a rien à b [... lire plus]attre et la proximité du terrain de golf. Le parcours n'est pas le meilleur, mais pour un parcours de vacances, il est très amusant et abordable. En ce qui concerne le reste, la nourriture est plus ou moins bonne, Lemoncello est probablement le meilleur restaurant. Les boissons sont parfois bonnes, parfois moins bonnes. (Ils ont remplacé le café frais avec du lait le matin par une machine. J'en ai profité pour prendre un café au lait et le lait devait être mauvais car j'ai été très malade pendant deux jours). Le fait d'appartenir à un niveau supérieur vous donne accès à des boissons haut de gamme, donc si c'est important pour vous, c'est une autre chose à prendre en compte. Les piscines sont superbes, le personnel est super et notre seul autre problème concernait notre chambre. La douche était épouvantable. Le plafond de la douche à effet de pluie était tellement rouillé et plein de calcium que seul un quart des trous était ouvert pour prendre de l'eau et à chaque fois que nous utilisions la douche Parce qu'elle n'était pas construite correctement, le sol de notre salle de bain était également inondé. Nous devions donc toujours avoir des serviettes enroulées près de la porte de la douche pour que l'eau ne s'étende pas trop loin à l'intérieur. Je ne comprends pas pourquoi un hôtel comme celui-ci ne règle pas un tel problème, mais Cuba en général est en difficulté... Pour éviter de rendre ce billet trop long, je ne retournerai pas à Cuba pour de nombreuses autres raisons.

Second trip to the Melia Las Americas This was our second time to this hotel. Big difference between the first time pre-Covid and now. The first time we stayed in the main hotel and the second time we upgraded to the level. We thought the upgrade to the level was a good idea however, if you can’t afford it, you’ll be perfectly fine in the main building as well. The beach here is honestly one of the best… Can’t beat it and the close proximity to the golf course. The course is not the greatest but for a vacation course it’s a lot of fun and affordable. As far as the rest goes, the food is hit or miss, Lemoncello is probably the best restaurant. Drinks are sometimes good and sometimes not so good. (They have switched from serving fresh coffee with milk in the mornings to a machine. I used this for some latte and the milk must’ve been bad because I was very sick for two days). Being part of the level gives you premium drink options so if that’s important to you it’s another thing to consider. Pools are great, staff are great and our only other issue was with our room. The shower was terrible. The rain shower overhead was so rusted and full of calcium that only a quarter of the holes were open to take water from and every time we use the shower Because it was not built correctly, the floor in our bathroom would also be flooded. So we always had to have towels rolled up right by the shower door so the water wouldn’t extend too far in. Why in the world a hotel like this wouldn’t fix such an issue is beyond me but Cuba overall is struggling… To avoid making this post too long, I will not be returning to Cuba For many other reasons.

Station de golf amusante

Le personnel était très amical et serviable. C'est un moment agréable pour un voyage de golf. Les greens ont besoin d'un peu de travail mais sinon c'est bien. La nourriture était bonne. La plage était vraiment agréable. L'hôtel dans son ensemble a besoin d'être rafraîchi. Bon pour un voyage de golf entre hommes. Si votre femme est un tant soit peu difficile, vous aurez peut-être besoin d'une chambre plus spacieuse.

Fun golf resort Staff were very friendly and helpful. Fun time for a golf trip. The greens need some work but otherwise good. Food was fine. The beach was really nice. The hotel overall needs a refresh. Good for a guys golf trip. If your wife is at all fussy you may need an upgraded room.

Grand centre de villégiature.

Le Melia Las America est un excellent complexe hôtelier. Les chambres, les piscines et le service sont exceptionnels. L'accès au terrain de golf est pratique. J'adore ce terrain de golf. Ce voyage a été à la hauteur de mes espérances. Nous reviendrons sans aucun doute.

Great resort. Melia Las America is a great resort. The rooms, pools and service are exceptional. Tha access to the golf course is convenient. I love this golf course. This trip was all I expected. We will definitely return.

Voyage de golf à Cuba

Qu'est-ce que je peux dire ? Sandra D a été formidable du début à la fin, serviable, compétente et toujours disponible. Ce fut un plaisir de traiter avec Sandra. Sanda a été très agréable à traiter, elle nous a aidés pour tout et pour toutes les questions que nous avions.

Amazing Cuba Golf Trip What can I say Sandra D was amazing from the beginning to the end , helpful, knowledgeable and always available. It was a pleasure dealing with Sandra. Sanda was very nice to deal with, helped us out with everything and every question we had.

Encore une semaine fantastique à Las Americas ! Nous sommes passés au niveau supérieur cette fois-ci et c'était incroyable. Le service est excellent, la chambre à deux étages est superbe et il y a de merveilleux restaurants supplémentaires à fréquenter. La plage est toujours incroyable et ne déçoit jamais. Le nouvel espace extérieur est spectaculaire. Il est toujours bon de voir qu'ils améliorent constamment l'endroit. J'ai déjà hâte d'être à l'année prochaine !

Always a Favourite! Another fantastic week at Las Americas! We upgraded our experience to the Level this time and it was amazing. Great service, stunning 2 floor room and wonderful extra restaurants to attend. The beach is always amazing and never disappoints. The new outdoor space is spectacular. It's always good to see that they are constantly improving the place. Already looking forward to next year!

Bonne plage, bonne nourriture, bons habitants

Hôtel réservé aux adultes. Au milieu de la péninsule de Varadero. Juste à côté du terrain de golf. Centre commercial à proximité. Très bonne plage. Hôtel très propre. La nourriture est solide, nous sommes allés à cet hôtel plusieurs fois et la qualité constante de la nourriture nous a incités à revenir. Le soir, il y avait généralement de la musique en direct et des artistes. Une ou deux fois par semaine, il y avait une fête sur la plage. De vastes suites de plus de 100 m² sont disponibles dans  [... lire plus]la section de plain-pied, certaines avec deux salles de bains.

Good beach, food, people Adults only hotel. Middle of Varadero Peninsula. Right at the golf course. Shopping mall near by. Really really good beach. Very clean hotel. Food is solid, been to this hotel several times and the consistent food quality helps our decision to return. Evening entertainment was usually live music and performers. Once or twice a week there was a beach party. Large 900+ square foot suites available in the level section, some with two bathrooms.

Gardez toujours à l'esprit que vous êtes à Cuba et non au Mexique, en République démocratique du Congo ou en Jamaïque. Les centres de villégiature sont limités par les réglementations gouvernementales quant à ce qu'ils peuvent importer ou à ce qu'ils peuvent fournir dans leur centre de villégiature. Il n'y a donc pas la même variété d'aliments, de bières et de liqueurs qu'ailleurs. Les chambres sont minuscules et la plomberie est primitive. Les ascenseurs sont minuscules (4 adultes peuvent les r [... lire plus]emplir) et il n'y a que 2 ascenseurs qui sont extrêmement lents. Le buffet est adéquat. Il n'est pas très varié, mais il est suffisant pour satisfaire même les plus difficiles. Je crois qu'il n'y a que 4 bars dans l'hôtel. Le bar du hall (qui ferme à 23 heures), le bar de la cafétéria qui est ouvert en permanence et les bars de la plage et de la piscine qui ouvrent à 9 heures. Le terrain de golf se trouve à 3 minutes de marche du centre de villégiature jusqu'au Pro Shop et vous pouvez y ranger vos clubs, ce qui vous évite de les transporter dans tous les sens. Le golf est inclus dans le prix, mais vous devez payer 44 USD par personne pour la voiturette de golf, qui est obligatoire. Dans l'ensemble, c'était un excellent rapport qualité-prix et beaucoup mieux que ce à quoi je m'attendais. J'y retournerai sans aucun doute.

If golf is your priority then this is the place to stay!! Always keep in mind that you are in Cuba and not Mexico, DR or Jamaica. Resorts are limited by government regulations as to what they can import or what they can provide at their resort. Therefore, there are not the varieties of foods, beer and liquors that are available elsewhere. The rooms are tiny and the plumbing is primative. Elevators are extremely tiny (4 adults will fill them) and there are only 2 elevators that are extremely slow. The buffet is adequate. Not a lot of variety but enough to keep even the fussiest eater satisfied. I believe there are only 4 bars at the resort. The Lobby bar (closes at 11pm.), the cafeteria bar is open all the time and the beach and pool bars which open at 9am. The golf course is a 3 minute walk from the resort to the Pro Shop and you can store your clubs there so no need to carry them back and forth. Golf is included in your cost but you must pay $44USD per person for the golf cart which is mandatory. All in all it was great value for the money and a lot better than what I was expecting. I will definitely be going back.

L'hôtel est situé sur la plage et il est facile de s'y déplacer. La nourriture était correcte. L'hôtel est juste à côté de la plage et il est facile de s'y déplacer. Le service du bar principal était le meilleur. Le snack-bar proposait des hamburgers et des sandwiches qui étaient bons. Le restaurant italien était très bon et le japonais était décevant. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances.

Beautiful resort right on the beach While the grounds and pools are very nice the rooms are outdated and old.Only 2 small elevetors and not working all the time.It wort to upgrade the stay at level side.The hotel is right on the beach and it's easy to get around. The food was ok.Since I prefer fish and sea food there is every day good selection. Drinks are ok.Service on the main bar was the best.Snack bar have burgers and sandwiches that were good. Italian restoran was very good and Japanese was disappointing. Overall we had very nice vacation.
