Un centre de villégiature exceptionnel

La propriété était très bien entretenue, propre et les restaurants étaient efficaces. Les piscines et la plage étaient incroyables, notre chambre était également très bien. Le personnel très poli et à l'essai, donné des serviettes de piscine a rendu plus facile et plus propre. Les couchers de soleil sont absolument magnifiques

Amazing resort The property was very well maintained, clean and restaurants were efficient. Pools and beach were amazing our room was also very good. Staff very polite and at tentative, given pool towels made it easier and cleaner. The sunsets are absolutely stunning

L'hôtel était absolument incroyable. Il disposait de toutes les commodités, de deux piscines et d'une plage privée. Le personnel était absolument le meilleur. Nous avons eu un problème personnel que l'hôtel a réglé immédiatement. Madeline, la directrice, a été très accessible et a traité notre problème avec respect et immédiatement. Merci pour cette expérience formidable. Nous reviendrons sans aucun doute. Un peu en dehors de la ville principale mais exactement ce dont nous avions besoin. Top Notch Resort. Amazing The hotel was absolutely amazing. Had every amenity, two pools, right on private beach. The staff were absolutely the best. We did have a personal issue which the hotel addressed immediately. Madeline the manager was very accessible and addressed our concern with respect and immediately. Thank you for a great experience. We would definitely return. A little outside main town but exactly what we needed. Very easy to get downtown.

Station récemment rénovée et ils ont fait un travail fantastique.

Ce complexe a été récemment rénové et le résultat est stupéfiant. Le personnel est excellent, la plage est magnifique (on peut même y faire de la plongée avec tuba) et le terrain est impeccable. Il y a très peu de restaurants en dehors de l'hôtel qui sont accessibles à pied, mais il y en a quelques-uns qui offrent un bon changement de menu. Tout était exceptionnel et nous n'avons pas eu à nous pl [... lire plus]aindre, à l'exception d'un seul. La seule option pour le petit-déjeuner est un buffet à 26 $. Bien qu'il s'agisse d'un excellent buffet, nous ne voulons pas, ou n'avons pas besoin, d'un petit déjeuner aussi copieux tous les jours. Si un menu était disponible, ce serait bien mieux. Sinon, vous ne pouvez acheter qu'un croissant ou un muffin, ce qui n'est pas vraiment de la nourriture de vacances. Si vous recherchez un établissement de qualité, relativement calme et doté d'un excellent service, je vous recommande l'hôtel Marriott. Newly refurbished resort and they've done a fantastic job. This resort has recently been refurbished and the results are amazing. The staff are excellent, the beach is wonderful (even some reasonable snorkeling) and the grounds are immaculate. They have several restaurants but not a big difference in levels of quality/ambience. There are very few off-premise restaurants that are within walking distance but there are a couple that offer a good change in menu. Everything was exceptional with no complaints, except one. The only option for breakfast is a $26 buffet. While it is an excellent buffet, we really don't want, or need, such a huge breakfast everyday. If they had a menu option available it would be much better. Otherwise you can only purchase a croissant or muffin which isn't really "vacation" food. If you are looking for a quality, relatively quiet place with excellent service, then I would recommend the Marriott. PS there is no casino at the Marriott but there is one next door at Dreams.

Sunscape Resort - Un lieu de séjour idéal

Je reviens d'une semaine au Sunscape Resort à Curaçao. Toute l'expérience a été géniale. Cinq grands restaurants - italien, fruits de mer, japonais, steak et côtes et, comme toujours, le buffet tout compris. Surprenant, le Blue Water Grill, qui proposait le plus étonnant des filets de bœuf servis (dans différentes présentations) au déjeuner et au dîner tous les jours. La nourriture était délicieuse et abondante et n'était surpassée que par le service fantastique. Le seul problème que nous ayons rencontré concerne le buffet, où le niveau de service a baissé vers la fin de la semaine. Le complexe lui-même, bien qu'il existe depuis un certain temps, était très propre, tant dans les chambres que sur le terrain. La plage était bien entretenue, avec un beau sable blanc et un mur qui empêchait les eaux agitées de l'océan de s'approcher du rivage. La température était constante, de 78 à 84 degrés, et bien que nous soyons allés pendant la saison des pluies, nous avons eu une averse un matin pendant environ 20 minutes. Avant notre départ, les prévisions météorologiques indiquaient un temps nuageux toute la semaine - les nuages étaient constants mais intermittents et constituaient une pause bienvenue par rapport au ciel généralement ensoleillé. Nous sommes allés à Aruba, à Saint-Kitts-et-Nevis, à Saint-Martin, à Cancun, à Cuba et en République dominicaine, mais le Curaçao a été de loin nos meilleures vacances.

Sunscape Resort - Great Place to Stay Just returned from a week at the Sunscape Resort in Curacao. The entire experience was awesome. Five great restaurants - Italian, Seafood, Japanese, Steak and Ribs and as always the all inclusive buffet. Surprising the Blue Water Grill which had the most amazing served beef tenderloin (in various presentations) at lunch and dinner every day. The food was delicious and ample and was only exceeded by the fantastic service. The automatic response from all the staff to the question was always "Excellent" - and they are truly genuine in their pleasure to be there and serve our requirements. The only issue we encountered was at the buffet where the level of service dropped off towards the end of the week. The resort itself, although it has been around for a while, was very clean both in the rooms and on the grounds. The beach was well groomed with beautiful white sand with a break wall that kept the choppy waters of the ocean away from shore. Temperature was constant 78-84 around the clock and although we went during the rainy season we had one downpour on one morning for about 20 minutes. Before we left the weather forecast indicated cloudy all week - there were clouds that were constant but intermittent in nature and were a welcome break from the mostly sunny skies. We have been to Aruba, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Martin, Cancun, Cuba and the Dominican Republic - Curacao was by far the best vacation yet.

Bel hôtel

Nous avons aimé l'hôtel, les jardins étaient bien entretenus, la propriété était bien rangée et l'ensemble était propre. Bien sûr, les chambres sont fatiguées mais le lit était confortable et propre. En réalité, vous ne restez pas longtemps dans votre chambre, vous êtes là pour profiter du temps et de la plage. Cependant, nous avions vu des critiques négatives sur la restauration dans ce Marriot, mais nous avons décidé de poursuivre notre voyage comme prévu. Nous avions opté pour la formule "tout compris" afin de ne pas avoir à payer nos repas, l'alcool ou quoi que ce soit d'autre. Le buffet du petit-déjeuner était bon et Cerita et Gechi nous ont fait sentir les bienvenus à chaque fois que nous sommes allés prendre le petit-déjeuner. Nous leur donnons un grand coup de chapeau. Chris, au Emerald Lounge, était également très agréable à parler et nous a aidés à répondre à nos diverses questions sur l'île. Monique, notre serveuse au Palm Cafe, a été formidable ! Nous lui avons dit que nous louions une voiture et elle nous a donné des indications pour nous rendre à divers endroits de l'île et a été très attentive à nos préférences de commande. Comme je l'ai dit, le buffet du petit-déjeuner était bon, le menu du déjeuner au Palm Cafe est correct mais très limité. Le dîner au Emerald Lounge n'était pas bon du tout. Nous avons commandé des nachos au poulet et au bœuf et nous avons dû les renvoyer parce que les chips étaient périmées et que le bœuf avait l'air de sortir d'une boîte de conserve. Ensuite, nous avons essayé la pizza le même soir. Elle était correcte mais aurait pu être cuite plus longtemps, mais nous ne l'avons pas renvoyée parce que nous étions affamés. Un autre soir, nous avons décidé d'essayer le hamburger "Marriot". On nous a demandé comment nous voulions qu'il soit cuit et j'ai répondu à point. Il nous est arrivé un peu carbonisé de chaque côté et sanguinolent au milieu. Comment peut-on se tromper dans la cuisson d'un hamburger ? Eh bien, c'est ce qu'a fait leur cuisinier. Ensuite, nous avons essayé le Portofino's. La première fois, c'était mangeable mais pas génial. La deuxième fois, la côte de bœuf n'était pas assez cuite et nous l'avons renvoyée. Il est revenu un peu plus cuit, mais tellement dur qu'il était impossible de le manger. Quand on dépense beaucoup d'argent pour un voyage tout compris, on s'attend à avoir des repas décents. C'est vraiment dommage qu'il faille aller à l'extérieur du site pour obtenir un bon repas alors qu'on a déjà payé pour cela.

Nice hotel We did like the hotel, the gardens were well kept, the property was tidy and the overall place was clean. Sure the rooms are tired but the bed was comfortable and clean. Realistically you're not in your room for a long time your there to enjoy the weather and beach. However we had seen some negative reviews on the dining at this Marriot but we decided to go ahead with our trip as planned. We really should have paid closer attention to those reviews. We had opted for the "all inclusive" plan so we wouldn't have to pay for our meals, alcohol, or anything else. The breakfast buffet was good and Cerita and Gechi made us feel welcome every time we went for breakfast. They get a big thumbs up from us. Chris at the Emerald Lounge also was great to talk to and was helpful with our various questions about the island. Monique our server at the Palm Cafe was terrific! We told her we were renting a car and she gave us directions to go to various places on the island and was also very attentive to our ordering preferences. Now as I said the breakfast buffet was good, the lunch menu at Palm Cafe is OK but very limited. Dinner at the Emerald Lounge was not good at all. We ordered nachos with chicken and beef and had to send them back because the chips were stale and the beef looked like it came out of a can. Then we tried the pizza the same night. It was ok but really could have been cooked longer but we didn't send it back because we were starving. Another night we decided to try the "Marriot" burger. We were asked how we wanted it cooked and I replied medium well. It came to us a little charred on each side and bloody in the middle. How can someone screw up cooking a burger? Well their cook did. Then we tried Portofino's. First time it was edible but not great. Second time the ribeye was severely undercooked and sent back. It returned slightly more cooked but was so tough it couldn't be eaten. When you spend a lot of money for and all inclusive trip you expect to have decent meals to eat. It's pretty bad that you have to go offsite to get a good meal when you've already paid for it.
