Great Little Resort!

This was our second visit (Feb 2014 and March 2015). We have stayed in identical rooms (215 and 216), both on the second floor with a balcony. The room is large, shower stall tiny but adequate and we had lots of hot water. We heard of others who had no hot water(in the old section attached to reception) New lounge chairs and shade stands improved the beach experience. The beach and water were what we went for - and were not disappointed! We have no issue with the food. The was always lots to cho [... lire plus]ose from. I avoid the "mystery meat" but enjoyed the chicken, pork, beef and goat. I have learned to not take samples of everything - to be selective, so that the meals are not monotonous. I had the best black beans with rice! We were offered wine in the buffet restaurant - previously only available in the a la carte restaurent. The red was really good. The pool was always clean and hardly used. In 2014 we considered the evening entertainment to be awsome. In 2015 this was the only disappointment. It started late, was loud and lasted only 40 minutes. In 2014 we heard some fabulous music with some great bands. It was O.K. this year. Some of the "entertainment" was drawing from the audience to participate on stage. Not my normal cup of tea. We will go back. The price and excellent beach are the clincher!

First vaca in 21 years - Awful

The hotel is run down but the staff is amazing. It's a one star not a 2, not even close. I got Sick 3 days into my trip. Fever 39, vomit, the runs reti rende to Canada 4 days later And was diagnosed with Salmonella poisoning. Was banned from working by the CDC because I am a nurse....contagious nurse. How great. I suffered for 11 days. Like I said fantastic staff and a gorgeous ocean but the rest was real bad.

Great beach

great beach, clean rooms, food was not too bad, staff was very helpful, remember it is all what you make it. I had a great week! Beach was nice and close to the resort if you were in the front of the building. Not too far from the markets and other locations.

Do noy go to this resort

where to start well if your get a room with a toilet seat and it will flush you are lucky. then our room flooded twice and it took them 7 days to put use in another room and the patio door wouldn't close all the way and we had $250,00 dollars stolen out of our suit case the safes never work they can't find keys to fit them. the food is cold breakfast was the best meal all day because they cooked the eggs the way you wanted them. the beach and the pool was nice. they treat you very poorly when yo [... lire plus]u complain they will not wait on you. people next to use also lost money too and one had a $700.00 dollar cell phone stolen. when we called the police they do not speak English so you don't know what they are saying. when we stayed at a 2 star before the room was nice and we had no problems with the food. if you book here be prepared for continuous pluged sink and toilet. learn to shave and brush your teeth in the shower if it works. .if you are looking for looking for a stress filled disapointing vacation this is the book here..

Major renovation required

Plumbing n electrical repairs are major issues- many complained about the same like mine...faucets leaking resulting to flood along rooms,hallways...walls are chipping ,..it's so old that also emanate to bad smell of the room. I must commend the staff mare nice n the service is satisfactory..i

Amazing resort

The whole family (2 kids, my wife and I) enjoyed a lot the experience of this resort and it was a very good deal regarding the price. The staff were warm and kind and to all those complaining guests: please do not forget how much you paid and it is a ** not a ***** after all!

Quiet, pretty older resort

Grounds well kept and lovely, beach beautiful Garbage on beach could have done with being cleaned regularly. Rooms clean and spacious. Dining room unimaginative, patio lovely. Much nicer when tablecloths put on tables (only happened once)

Very cute little resort!!

This place was literally 5 min from the airport! It was a very cute little place with great staff. I traveled with my 5 year old and the two of us had a great time. The drinks were good and the food was really good ( to my surprise) we have stayed at a few different places in Cuba before and in my opinion the food at this resort was the best. Great place., would defiantly go back. Take your own pillow though, and don't waste your clean towels .. They are hard to come by .

Very poor quaity food, service.

The food was extremely simple and bad quality. The staff were not friendly. Had to pay for most of the drinks. The hotel maintenance status was poor. I will not recommend this place to any body. I had to wait for a long time to get on the bus to go to the airport.
