Leurs efforts n’ont pas passé inaperçus, en particulier ceux du personnel d’extérieur. Nos chambres étaient impeccables. Les espaces extérieurs étaient immaculés. Grand Decameron Panama: Un voyage sympa, mais pas 4 étoiles

J'ai réservé via Air Transat et j'y suis resté une semaine. L'arrivée à ce petit aéroport était bien plus pratique qu'à Panama City. L'hôtel est construit sur une colline : il faut compter 66 marches entre le hall et la plage ou les restaurants. La chambre était basique, sans rien d'exceptionnel ; la salle de bains avait une petite fenêtre donnant sur l'extérieur qui laissait entrer les insectes. C'est dans les restaurants à la carte que l'on mangeait le mieux (les fruits de mer et la cuisine mé [... lire plus]diterranéenne se démarquaient). Les boissons étaient principalement locales ; la Smirnoff était considérée comme un produit haut de gamme. Il n'y a pas de restauration tardive, et après 23 h, les boissons ne sont disponibles qu'à la discothèque, qui est toujours bondée. La plage est granuleuse et jonchée de coquillages brisés. Le personnel était sympathique et professionnel, sans aucun problème. L'établissement était bien entretenu mais vaste, l'emplacement globalement calme sauf lors de l'afflux de monde le week-end. Dans l'ensemble, l'hôtel ne valait pas ce que j'ai payé$$$$.

Fun trip but not a 4 star Booked through Air Transat and stayed a week. Arrival at the small airport was a welcome convenience compared with Panama City. The hotel is built on a hill — expect to climb 66 steps between the lobby and the beach/food areas. The room was basic with nothing spectacular; the bathroom had a small window to the outside that let bugs in. Food was best at the a‑la‑carte restaurants (seafood and Mediterranean stood out). Drinks were mostly local; Smirnoff was treated as top‑shelf. There’s no late‑night food, and after 11pm drinks are only available in the nightclub, which is always a zoo. The beach is coarse with broken shells. Staff were friendly and professional with no issues. Property was well maintained but big, location overall quiet expect when there was in influx of people on the weekend. Overall the hotel was not worth what I paid$$$$.

Riu Playa Blanca: Superbe complexe hôtelier

L'hôtel et le personnel étaient excellents. Cela dit, il y a deux points que j'aimerais voir améliorés : 1. Préciser que le billard du Sports Bar est payant (5 $ de l'heure). 2. La qualité du steak au restaurant spécialisé. Le steak était délicieux et copieux, mais très fin. Une tranche plus épaisse aurait été appréciable. C'est à peu près tout. Dans l'ensemble, c'était un super hôtel !

Great Resort The hotel and staff were very good. That being said, there are 2 things I would improve: 1. Mention that the pool table in the Sports bar is an extra cost of $5 per hour. 2. The quality of the steak at the steakhouse. The steak was delicious, and sizeable, but very thin. A thicker cut would have been nice. That's about it. All in all, it was a great hotel!

Nous avons séjourné au Riu du 13 au 20 avril et avons passé un séjour fantastique. Les chambres étaient propres et bien rangées. La nourriture du buffet était très bonne. La plage était propre et les piscines étaient superbes. Le personnel était sympathique, mais la plupart des employés parlaient espagnol et ne parlaient pas anglais. Je donne à cet hôtel une note de *****.

Fantastic Resort We visited the Riu from April 13 to April 20th and had a fantastic time. The rooms were cleaned and tidy. The buffet food was very good. The beach was clean and pools were amazing. The staff were friendly but most of them will speak Spanish and did not speak English . I will rate this resort as a *****.

Riu Playa Blanca: Grand centre de villégiature

Le complexe était fantastique ; je me suis rendu compte que je n'étais pas un adepte du "all inclusive", mais le service était exceptionnel, même avec un ascenseur en moins. J'ai participé à une excursion et ce n'était pas la meilleure ; vraiment une perte de temps et d'argent. La nourriture était excellente !

Great resort The resort was fantastic; I realized I wasn’t an all inclusive person; but the service was outstanding even with one elevator down. I went on one excursion and it wasn’t the best; really a waste of time and money. The food was great!!

Grand Decameron Panama: Un personnel formidable, des chambres propres, une magnifique plage et une bonne séance d'entraînement

Le personnel était formidable, très sympathique et serviable tout au long de notre séjour. Ma chambre était nettoyée tous les jours, ce que j'ai vraiment apprécié. Le complexe est assez vaste, alors préparez-vous à beaucoup marcher, notamment dans les côtes et les escaliers, mais c'est un excellent moyen de rester actif ! La nourriture était excellente, avec un large choix, et en tant que végétarienne, j'ai été ravie de la variété proposée. J'ai adoré l'emplacement et j'étais très contente d'êtr [... lire plus]e au bord de la plage plutôt qu'à Panama City. Dans l'ensemble, une expérience formidable. Est-ce que j'y retournerais ? Oui, j'y retournerais sans hésiter.

Great Staff, Clean Rooms, Beautiful Beach, and a Good Workout The staff were amazing very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. My room was kept clean every day, which I really appreciated. The resort is quite large, so be prepared for a lot of walking, including hills and stairs but it’s a great way to stay active! The food was excellent with plenty of options, and as a vegetarian, I was really happy with the variety available. I loved the location and was very happy being on the beachside then Panama city Overall, a great experience. Would I go back? Yes, I would definitely return.

Dans l'ensemble, le complexe était bien. Nous avons apprécié les restaurants et les piscines. Cependant, le petit déjeuner devrait commencer à 6 heures du matin. Le bar de la piscine ouvre trop tard le matin. Scuba Caribe n'était pas un bon choix. Vous ne devriez pas en faire la promotion. Extreme était bien meilleur. Les divertissements sur le site étaient bons.

Good reaprt Overall the resort was good. We enjoyed the restaurants and pools. However breakfast should start at 6 am. Pool side bar opens too late in the morning. Scuba Caribe was not a good choice. You should not promote them. Extreme was far better. On resort entertainment was good.

Riu Playa Blanca: Station très propre !

Nous avons trouvé l'hôtel très propre et le personnel très sympathique. Par contre, ils n'ont pas rempli le frigo du bar assez souvent, nous laissant à court d'eau et de boissons gazeuses. Dans l'ensemble, c'est une très bonne expérience. Très beau terrain bien entretenu.

Nous avons trouvé l'hôtel très propre et le personnel très aimable. Par contre, ils ne réapprovisionnaient pas assez souvent le minibar, ce qui fait que nous avons manqué d'eau et de boissons gazeuses. Dans l'ensemble, ce fut une très bonne expérience. Les espaces verts sont très bien entretenus.

Grand Decameron Panama: Une époque étonnante

Ma famille et moi avons passé un excellent séjour au Grand Decameron. Il y avait beaucoup d'options avec les cartes à la carte, les buffets avaient une bonne variété. Tout le monde était très gentil et tout était très propre. Je recommanderais d'apporter vos propres tasses car celles qui sont fournies sont très petites. Je recommanderais également de passer à la catégorie plus. J'ai entendu dire que ceux qui ne l'ont pas fait ont eu des difficultés à réserver des restaurants à la carte. Le fait [... lire plus] d'être du côté plus était agréable et tranquille et nous avions une chambre très bien située. Nous n'aurions pas pu rêver de meilleures vacances !

Amazing time Me and my family had an amazing time at the Grand Decameron resort. There was lots of options with the à la cartes, the buffets has a good variety. Everyone was very nice and everything was very clean. I would recommend bringing your own cups because the ones provided are very small. I would also definitely recommend upgrading to plus. People who didn’t I overheard had trouble booking à la cartes restaurants. Being on the plus side was nice and quiet and we had a great room location. Couldn’t have asked for a better vacation!

Grand Decameron Panama: C'était génial !

Le complexe est vaste, luxuriant et magnifiquement aménagé, avec plusieurs piscines, restaurants et espaces de divertissement. Toutefois, si vous avez des difficultés à vous déplacer, sachez que le complexe comporte de nombreuses marches et pentes, ce qui peut rendre les déplacements difficiles. La plage était l’un des points forts : propre, large et parfaite pour de longues promenades ou pour se détendre au soleil. Nous y sommes allés pendant les vacances de mars, mais le drapeau rouge a été h [... lire plus]issé presque toute la semaine, nous avons donc passé nos journées au bord de la piscine, à nous détendre et à nous amuser avec notre fils. Nous nous attendions à voir beaucoup d’enfants canadiens, mais nous n’en avons croisé que quelques-uns ; la plupart des enfants étaient espagnols. Les restaurants étaient bons dans l’ensemble, et il y en avait pour tous les goûts, même si au bout d’une semaine, j’étais prête à rentrer chez moi pour retrouver une cuisine familière. Les options à la carte étaient inégales : le restaurant asiatique était le meilleur, l’italien était correct, et le mexicain était un peu décevant. Ma plus grande frustration concernait le système de réservation : il faut se lever tôt, prendre un numéro et attendre d’être appelé pour réserver. Le complexe hôtelier doit vraiment moderniser ce processus grâce à la technologie, comme l’ont fait de nombreux autres complexes. J’aurais également aimé que les buffets soient équipés de machines à café en libre-service plutôt que de devoir attendre le personnel. Les chambres sont vieillottes, mais propres et confortables, avec l'essentiel comme la climatisation, la télévision par satellite, des balcons privés et un service de ménage quotidien. Le personnel a fourni un excellent service et a travaillé très dur, surtout compte tenu de l'affluence dans les restaurants-buffets. L'aéroport est petit et ne dispose que d'une petite boutique ; on ne peut y acheter de repas, seulement des collations et des boissons, alors préparez-vous pour le vol de retour. Dans l'ensemble, le complexe était super !

It was great! The property is large, lush, and beautifully designed, with multiple pools, restaurants, and entertainment areas. However, if you have mobility issues, be aware that the resort has many steps and hills, which can make getting around challenging. The beach was one of the highlights—clean, wide, and perfect for long walks or relaxing under the sun. We visited during March Break, but the ocean was red‑flagged for most of the week, so we spent our days by the pool instead, relaxing and having fun with our son. We expected to see lots of Canadian kids, but only came across a few; most of the children were Spanish. The restaurants were good overall, and there was always something for everyone, though after a week I was ready to return home to familiar food. The à la carte options were mixed: the Asian restaurant was the best, the Italian was solid, and the Mexican was a bit of a letdown. My biggest frustration was the reservation system—you need to wake up early, get a number, and wait to be called to book. The resort really needs to modernize this process with technology, as many other resorts have done. I also wish the buffets had self‑serve coffee machines instead of having to wait for staff. The rooms are dated, but clean and comfortable, with essentials like air conditioning, satellite TV, private balconies, and daily housekeeping. The staff provided great service and worked very hard, especially considering how busy the buffet restaurants can get. The airport is small with a small store, there's no meals that you could purchase, just snacks and drinks, so be prepared for the flight home. Overall, the resort was great!

Mes amis et moi sommes venus au Panama pour une semaine de détente. Le RIU n'a pas déçu. La nourriture était incroyable, le restaurant italien était succulent (je repense encore aux petits pains du dîner) et les cocktails étaient délicieux, en particulier les cafés espagnols. Le service était excellent, nous n'avons jamais dû attendre trop longtemps. Nous n'avons eu que deux reproches à faire : 1. Nous avons appelé la réception pour demander au service d'entretien de vérifier notre baignoire,  [... lire plus]car elle ne s'écoulait pas correctement. Elle n'a pas été réparée. 2. Les oreillers de la chambre étaient minuscules et inconfortables.

Great trip My friends and I came to Panama for a week of relaxation. The RIU did not disappoint. The food was incredible, the Italian restaurant was mouth watering(I am still thinking about the buns from dinner) the cocktails were delicious especially the Spanish coffees. Service was great, never had to wait too long. We only had 2 complaints 1. We called down to the lobby to ask maintenance to look at our tub as it wasn’t draining properly. It wasn’t fixed. 2. The pillows in the room were tiny and uncomfortable.

La nourriture était excellente, tant au buffet que dans les trois restaurants à la carte. Toutes les piscines étaient agréables et propres. La plage était sympa. Il y avait toujours des transats disponibles, mais il fallait s'y rendre vers 6 h 30, même s'ils disaient que ce n'était pas autorisé. Ma seule critique concerne le manque d'ea [... lire plus]u dans la chambre : lorsque j'ai demandé de l'eau supplémentaire un jour, le responsable m'a dit qu'il m'en donnerait cette fois-ci, mais que le réapprovisionnement en bouteilles d'eau n'était autorisé qu'un jour sur deux. J'ai passé un excellent séjour !!

A great resort The resort is very clean and well kept. The rooms were nice and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and worked very hard. The food was very good, from the buffet to the there Alacart restaurants. All the pools were nice and clean. The beach was nice. There were always loungers available but you have to get it there at around 630 even though they said you weren't allowed to do that. The only complaint i have is they didn't give you enough water in your room, when i asked for extra water one day, i was told by the manager that he would give me some this time but your only allowed a water restock of for bottles every other day. Had a great time!!

Westin Playa Bonita: Un hôtel très luxueux.

Chambres très propres et confortables, personnel très sympathique, employés et serveurs. Toujours prêt à aider. Souriant et très poli. Beaucoup de bons plats et de bonnes boissons. Les piscines sont propres. Les employés nettoient les piscines plusieurs fois par jour. L'entrée et le hall sont très élégants. Mobilier agréable et confortable. C'est un plaisir d'être là. The swimming pools are clean. Workers clean the pools a few times a day. The entrance and lobby very elegant. Nice comfortable furniture. Just a pleasure to be there. Beautiful view from the windows. Playa Blanca Resort: C'est un magnifique complexe hôtelier

Le complexe offre de nombreuses activités, avec deux piscines près des toboggans aquatiques pour les familles et une immense piscine près du buffet où se trouve le bar aquatique. La nourriture était bonne et abondante, le personnel était formidable et très sympathique. Une remarque importante : si vous avez des difficultés à vous déplacer, sachez que les marches menant à la piscine, au restaurant à la carte, etc. ne sont pas comme les nôtres, la première marche faisant pas moins de 30 cm de haut [... lire plus]. De plus, le complexe nécessite de beaucoup marcher, ce dont il faut tenir compte si cela vous pose problème. L'accès à la piscine lagon était beaucoup plus facile, mais emportez un sandwich du buffet si vous y passez toute la journée, car bien qu'il y ait un accès au bar, vous ne pourrez pas forcément y acheter de quoi manger. Ils s'apprêtaient à accueillir un groupe lors de notre séjour, il n'était donc pas possible d'acheter quoi que ce soit.

This is a Beautiful Resort The resort has a lot going on with two pools by the water slides for families and a huge pool by the buffet where the swim up bar is located. The food was good and plentiful, the staff was amazing and so friendly. One important note: if you have mobility issues, consider very carefully that the steps into the pool, the a la carte, etc are not like ours with the first step down a good 12" high. Also, the resort requires a lot of walking and needs consideration if that is an issue for you. The lagoon pool access was much easier but bring a sandwich frim the buffet if you stay there all day as there is bar access but you may or may not be able to buy food there. They were set up for a tour when we were there so it was not possible to buy anything.

L'hôtel et le personnel sont super ! Les plages sont magnifiques et la nourriture est délicieuse ! J'ai voyagé dans de nombreux endroits et séjourné dans plusieurs complexes hôteliers, mais celui-ci est l'un de mes préférés pour la nourriture ! Les boissons sont également délicieuses. Je le recommande vivement !

Great resort! Hotel and staff are great! Beautiful beaches and food is delicious! I've traveled to a number of places and resorts, this was one of my favorites for food! Drinks are tasty too. Would highly recommend!

Grand Decameron Panama: Impression générale de fatigue et de désuétude

Dans l'ensemble, le complexe hôtelier donne une impression de fatigue et de vieillissement, et il aurait vraiment besoin d'être rénové et réparé. La nourriture était bonne, sans être exceptionnelle, mais suffisamment agréable. La piscine était très agréable, même si elle était beaucoup plus fréquentée que je ne l'aurais souhaité, avec plus d'enfants que prévu. Les bars de la piscine manquaient constamment de personnel, et il n'était pas rare de devoir attendre 15 minutes ou plus pour obtenir une [... lire plus] boisson. Ma plus grande préoccupation concernait toutefois le service à la clientèle. La plupart des serveurs semblaient indifférents et leur niveau d'attention n'était tout simplement pas à la hauteur.

Tired, dated feel overall The resort has a tired, dated feel overall, and it would really benefit from some updates and repairs. The food was good—not exceptional, but enjoyable enough. The pool area itself was quite nice, though it was far busier than I prefer, with more kids than expected. The pool bars were consistently understaffed, and it wasn’t unusual to wait 15 minutes or more just to get a drink. My biggest concern, though, was the customer service. Much of the wait staff came across as indifferent, and the level of attentiveness just wasn’t where it should be.
