Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Nous sommes rentrés chez nous satisfaits de notre choix.

Le complexe hôtelier est magnifique et sa taille est parfaite. On ne se rendrait jamais compte que l'endroit était complet. Il y a beaucoup d'espace sur la plage et le meilleur, c'est que vous pouvez profiter de la plage la nuit, car c'est une crique où se trouvent uniquement les complexes hôteliers et les résidences Bahia. La nourriture était bonne et il y avait également beaucoup de choix végétariens. Notre groupe de six personnes est reparti revigoré et satisfait de son choix. Le seul point n [... lire plus]égatif serait que l'eau n'était pas claire. Mais cela ne nous a pas gênés.

Came home happy with our choice The resort is beautiful and the size is perfect. You would never know the place was at full capacity. Lots of space at the beach and the best part is that you could enjoy the beach at night as its a cove with only Bahia resorts and residences. The food was good with lots of great veggie options too. Our group of six left rejuvenated and happy with our choice. The only negative would be that the water wasn't clear. Not a deal breaker for us.

Il n'a fallu que 15 minutes pour qu'il vomisse et ait la diarrhée. Il lui a fallu deux jours pour se rétablir. Se lever à 5h30 du matin pour obtenir une chaise à l'ombre était ridicule. Les gens ne s'y asseyaient pas toute la matinée car ils passaient la matinée à la plage. BEAUTIFUL RESORT The hotel and food was great except my husband getting food poisoning the day we were leaving from eating a pre-made mini sandwich at the buffet. Only took15 minutes and he was vomiting and diarrhea. Took 2 days to recover. Getting up at 5.30 am to get a chair in the shade was ridiculous. People would not sit in them all morning as they spent the morning at the beach. We were told the second day by a guest that if you want to secure a chair you pay the pool guys. He said thats just the way it is.

Nous avons passé un séjour parfait d'une semaine dans ce complexe hôtelier et notre seul regret est que cela n'ait pas duré plus longtemps ! Chambres propres, personnel sympathique, cuisine excellente et variée. Les jardins sont bien entretenus et les allées sont nettoyées tous les soirs. L'attente de la navette pour l'aéroport était un peu stressante. Il fallait quitter la chambre avant l'heure prévue pour prendre la navette vers le Grand, d'où l'on est transporté à l'aéroport. We had a perfect 1 week stay at this resort and the only regret was that it wasn’t long enough! Clean rooms, friendly staff, great food and variety of food.Grounds are well cared for and areas (walkways etc) are washed down every night Waiting for shuttle to airport was a little scary. Needed to check out before check-out time to shuttle over to the Grand where you are transported to airport. Also prepare snack because restaurant at the grand is not open that early.

Great resort We have made several trips to the Bahia principe Akumal with our family it is a good family Resort and the beach is perfect for young children. It is very large and we do lots of walking which we enjoy. There are also trollies to transport you around the resort should you want or need this. Our group was 3 families. Children ages 5,9,10,11 and 2 with parents and seniors 69. We were here two years ago with our family and we found the buffet to be exceptional for food select selection. This year, the food selection was still good, but we found it not to be quite as high-end as it was two years ago. The snack bar was always our favourite for lunch this year we found it lacking. Many days there was no pico de gallo or guacamole. They still had very good fish, but it was now in an automated ordering system. My husband found the hamburger un appealing. The service here at the snack bar was also lacking this year. When I asked about this, they indicated they were having trouble securing service people, which is a common issue at home as well. The staff were all very pleasant and did their best but there just were not very many around This Resort is being taken over by Hyatt and the transition is happening in the next few weeks from what I understand. We noticed more automation of services and the automation didn’t work well. We tried booking our à la cart restaurants online 10 days prior to arrival as they suggest and most of the restaurants were already booked. We were looking for early-ish reservations as we had children age 5 to 11 in our group. The rooms were clean and generally quiet. They were large enough to accommodate to adults and two children. The children had their own beds and the adults had a king bed. The service to the rooms was very good. The entertainment was good and drinks were tasty I would highly recommend exchanging your Canadian money to pesos prior to arrival. we had planned on exchanging money at the front desk and we did some of that but they generally only had 100peso and 200 peso notes to do the exchange. We were a group of 10 so leaving tips for meals, etc. for all of us was not a problem to leave this amount for tips. However, I do like to tip the servers for drinks at the pool, etc., and this created a bit of a problem. Overall, this is still a great resort and we enjoyed our stay very much. The food was good in the buffet and had decent variety. the KUUK À LA CARTE Restaurant was by far my favourite. The staff was very accommodating for a group of 10 and our grandchildren enjoyed having the cousins club at their own table as they could only seat six of us together. The children were at a table close to us and managed well. We found the staff very friendly and accommodating. We had a great time and would go back to this resort again.

On se serait cru à Cuba, en période de pénurie. La nourriture était bonne, en particulier au snack-bar ouvert 24 heures sur 24, mais il n'y avait qu'un seul serveur, donc l'attente était longue. J'ai séjourné plus de 30 fois dans cette chaîne et je me demande si le changement de personnel est dû à la vente.

Staff great but hotel lacking Definitely not luxury. Short staffed with long waits for coffee or bars. One washroom had no toilet seat for the 2 weeks we were there. Hotel ran out of usual items like milk, coffee liquor. Started to feel like cuba shortages. Ask for days straight for a blanket and finally just found one in a maids cupboard. Food was good, especially 24 hour snack bar but one wait staff so wait time was long. Over 30 times to this chain and wonder if the change in staff is due to the sale.

Je viens ici depuis des années et j'adore cet endroit. C'est calme dans la jungle, avec beaucoup d'animaux sauvages. Ce n'est pas un hôtel festif et il n'y a pas de discothèque. Il est non-fumeur, sauf dans quelques zones désignées. Il y a de belles piscines, dont une piscine calme sans musique. Ils proposent quelques animations, comme une fête mousse dans la piscine une fois par semaine et des spectacles tous les soirs dans la cour. Les boissons au bar de la piscine sont correctes et le servic [... lire plus]e au bord de la piscine est fréquent. Les boissons au bar du hall sont excellentes. Le snack-bar propose souvent des barbecues avec de délicieux poulets rôtis et hamburgers. Vous avez accès à toutes les autres commodités des autres hôtels du complexe, ce qui vous offre de nombreuses options pour les repas et les divertissements. Les restaurants à la carte sont très prisés, il est donc nécessaire de réserver dès que possible. Des navettes vous emmènent à la plage et dans les autres hôtels toutes les 15 minutes, ce qui facilite les déplacements, mais ce n'est pas un endroit idéal pour les personnes à mobilité réduite. Le personnel est très sympathique et l'établissement est très propre. Je le recommande à ceux qui souhaitent passer des vacances tranquilles sans enfants.

Another great stay at the Sian Ka’an Been coming here for years and love the place. It’s quiet in the jungle with lots of wildlife. This is not a party hotel and there’s no disco. It’s non-smoking except in a couple of designated areas. There’s nice pools including a quiet pool with no music. They do have some entertainment like a foam party in the pool once a week and nightly shows in the courtyard. Drinks at the pool bar are OK and they have frequent poolside service. Drinks at the lobby bar are excellent. They often have a BBQ going at the snack bar with great roast chicken and burgers. You have access to all the other amenities at all the other hotels in the complex so there are lots of options for meals and entertainment. The a-la-cartes book up so you need to book as soon as possible. There are trolleys to take you to the beach and the other hotels and they come every 15 mins so it’s easy to get around but not a good place for anyone with significant mobility issues. The staff are really friendly and they keep the place very clean. Would recommend for those who want a quieter vacation with no kids.

Nous avons séjourné dans de nombreux complexes hôteliers, mais celui-ci les surpasse tous. Il établit un niveau d'excellence difficile à égaler pour des vacances reposantes. Il offre tout ce que l'on peut attendre d'un complexe hôtelier tout compris : propreté et fraîcheur, chambres spacieuses, superbes piscines, cuisine délicieuse, flexibilité des restaurants à la carte, accès facile à la plage très propre, personnel aimable et courtois. Je n'hésiterais pas à y retourner.

Greatest resort ever We have been to many resorts and this one beats them all. It set's a high benchmark to beat when seeking a relaxing holiday. It offers all of what you would expect from an all inclusive: clean and refresh resort; big room; great pools; great food; flexibility with the a la carte restaurants; easy access to the beach which were very clean; friendly and courteous resort employees. I would not hesitate to go back

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Un complexe hôtelier formidable à tous points de vue !

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié cet hôtel dans son ensemble. Avec autant d'options à la carte, la nourriture était excellente. Le buffet était très bon, le Sports Bar proposait de bons plats de pub, mais nous recommandons vivement les restaurants à la carte pour le dîner. Nos préférés étaient Flame, Portofino et Nomad, mais tous étaient très bons (nous avons réservé 13 des 14 jours). Les snacks servis au bord de la piscine étaient mangeables. Quand ils cuisinaient au bord de la piscine, la nourrit [... lire plus]ure était correcte. Le personnel d'animation était excellent, nos deux préférés étant Ray et Yefrannie. Très engageants, ils proposaient de nombreuses activités tout au long de la journée, de l'apprentissage des danses dominicaines au yoga, en passant par des jeux « fous » et amusants l'après-midi. Les spectacles et les activités en soirée sont excellents, nos préférés étant le spectacle de feu, la discothèque silencieuse (très amusante !) et la soirée blanche. Les barmans du bar de la piscine préparent d'excellentes boissons, notre barman préféré étant Luis et notre serveur préféré au bord de la piscine étant Juan (il est tellement joyeux et énergique !). C'est un grand complexe hôtelier et le système de transport public en voiturette est un moyen facile de se déplacer. La plage est à quelques pas et est magnifique. Nous vivons dans une région qui compte des plages de classe mondiale, nous n'avons donc pas passé beaucoup de temps sur cette plage. Elle est très fréquentée, mais c'est l'une des plus belles plages que nous ayons vues dans toutes les Caraïbes. Le complexe hôtelier est propre, les restaurants sont magnifiques. Les chambres sont propres, mais il y a quelques problèmes d'entretien et de modernisation. Nous avons rencontré quelques problèmes dans notre première chambre, notamment au niveau de la pression de l'eau de la douche, de la porte-fenêtre qui ne coulissait pas correctement, du coffre-fort et de la porte du mini-bar. Nous avons pu changer de chambre et tous les problèmes ont disparu. Si vous recherchez le glamour, ces chambres ne le sont pas, mais elles étaient propres, confortables, sûres et acceptables pour le repos et la détente dont nous avions besoin. Au total, nous avons voyagé dix fois dans le sud. Ce complexe hôtelier était l'un des meilleurs en termes de restauration et de divertissement. Le bar de la piscine était excellent. Le personnel était absolument ravi, attentionné, engageant et incroyable. Si vous recherchez le soleil, les boissons, la plage, la socialisation, la nourriture et un bon rapport qualité-prix, ce complexe hôtelier est fait pour vous. Nous vous le recommandons vivement. Si vous recherchez des chambres fastueuses ou glamour, augmentez votre budget et réservez ailleurs.

All around great resort! We very much enjoyed this resort in totality. With so many a la carte options the food here was excellent. The buffet was very good, good pub food option at the Sports Bar, but we highly recommend the a la carte restaurant options for dinner. Our favourites were Flame, Portofino, Nomad, but all were very good (we booked 13 out of the 14 days). Poolside snack food shack was edible. When they cooked at the poolside the food was decent. Entertainment staff was excellent with our favourite two staff being Ray and Yefrannie. Very engaging and lots to do over the course of the day from learning the DR dances, to yoga, to "crazy" fun games in the afternoons. The evening shows and activities are excellent with our favourites being the Fire Show, the silent disco (so fun!) and the white party. The pool bar bartenders make excellent drinks with our favourite bartender Luis and our favourite poolside bartender server being Juan (he has so much happiness and energy!). It is a large resort and the public transportation cart system is an easy way to get around. The beach is a little walk and is beautiful. We live in an area of world class beaches, so we did not spend too much time at this beach. It is very busy but one of the best beaches we have seen in all of the Caribbean. The resort is clean, the restaurants beautiful. The rooms are clean, with some upkeep and updating issues. We experienced a few issues in our first room such as water pressure shower head issues, patio door not sliding properly issues, safe issues, and bar fridge door issues. We were able to switch rooms and all issues were gone. If you are looking for glamourous these rooms are not, however they were clean, comfortable, safe, and acceptable for the rest and relaxation we needed. Overall, we have travelled south a total of ten times. This resort was one of the tops for food and entertainment. The pool bar was excellent. The staff were all absolutely happy, attentive, engaging and amazing. If you are going for sun, drink, beach, socializing, food, "bang for your buck", this resort is for you. We would highly recommend to you. If you are going for glitz or glamourous rooms increase your budget and book elsewhere.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: NE PAS RÉSERVER

Les photos ne correspondent pas du tout à la réalité. L'endroit est très sale, très malodorant, et le personnel n'est ni agréable ni serviable. Les chambres ne disposent même pas d'eau froide, vous devrez donc vous doucher avec de l'eau bouillante, et les serviettes ne sont jamais changées. Il n'y a pas non plus de service en chambre, vous devez payer pour qu'ils remplissent votre réfrigérateur et si vous souhaitez commander quoi que ce soit. Sans parler des cafards répugnants, économisez votre  [... lire plus]argent et ne réservez pas cet hôtel.

DO NOT BOOK Pictures or nothing like the actual resort. Super dirty super smelly the staff is not pleasant or helpful at all. The rooms don’t even have cold water so you will have to shower in steaming, hot boiling water, towels are never being changed. Room service is not there either you have to pay for Them to fill your fridge as well as if you want to order anything for room service. Not to mention the disgusting cockroaches please save your money and do not book it.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Charmant complexe hôtelier

La taille du complexe hôtelier est parfaite ! Tout est accessible à pied et la plage, la piscine, les lieux de divertissement et la salle à manger principale sont tous situés au centre. Notre suite junior supérieure était bien entretenue et propre. La nourriture était bonne, tout était très propre et le personnel du complexe hôtelier était sympathique et serviable. Notre représentante WestJet, Maria, était formidable. La longue plage était très agréable à parcourir à pied, mais moins propice à  [... lire plus]la baignade en raison des vagues déferlantes et des coraux acérés. Le temps était assez venteux et pluvieux, mais il y avait de nombreuses éclaircies. Nous recommandons vivement l'excursion d'observation des baleines dans la baie de Samana, qui a été une expérience incroyable. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons apprécié notre séjour, mais nous n'y retournerions probablement pas en raison des conditions météorologiques dans cette région, ce qui n'est pas la faute du complexe hôtelier.

Lovely Resort The size of the resort is perfect! Everything is within a comfortable walking distance and the beach, pool and entertainment and main dining area are all centrally located. Our Junior Suite Superior was well-maintained and clean. The food was good, everything was kept very clean, and the resort staff were friendly and helpful. Our WestJet rep, Maria, was a gem. The long stretch of beach was very walkable, however less swim-able due to the crashing waves and sharp coral. The weather was quite windy and rainy but there were many sunny breaks. We highly recommend the whale watching excursion to Samana Bay - it was an amazing experience. Overall we enjoyed our stay but would probably not go back due to the weather patterns in that area - no fault due to the actual resort.

Le top du top. Le terrain est magnifique. Les installations de l'hôtel sont très propres. Les restaurants offrent un grand choix de plats du monde entier. Le Tutra (mongol) était notre préféré. Le seul point négatif à mon avis était que le personnel lavait toutes les tasses à l'eau du robinet sans savon et réutilisait les tasses pour les nouveaux clients (au bar de la piscine). Ce qui m'amène à me demander comment ils lavent leurs fruits et légumes avant de les servir Malheureusement, j'ai souf [... lire plus]fert de douleurs gastriques et de diarrhée dès le quatrième jour. J'écris ceci 4 jours après mon voyage et je souffre toujours des symptômes que je traite avec des antibiotiques lourds. Sachez que c'est la deuxième fois que je séjourne au Bahia Principe Esmeralda et la huitième fois que je visite la République démocratique du Congo. Je n'ai jamais vécu une telle expérience. J'y retournerais, mais cette fois-ci, je renforcerais mon système immunitaire avant de partir en vacances. De plus, ma femme était avec moi et n'a eu aucun problème de santé.

Winter getaway Dominican Republic Top notch. Grounds were exquisite. Hotel facilities very clean. Restaurants many choices from around the world to choose from. Tutra ( Mongolian ) was our favourite. The only downer in my opinion was the staff would wash all cups in running tap water no soap and reuse cups to new patrons.( (at swim-up bar ). Which makes me begin to wonder , how do they wash their fruits & vegetables before serving? Unfortunately, I was sick with gastric pain and diarrhea by the 4th day. I am writing this 4 days after my trip and still suffer from symptoms which I’m treating with heavy antibiotics. Please be aware that this is my 2nd time at Bahia Principe Esmeralda and 8th visit to the DR. Never have I gone thru this experience. I would go again only this time would strengthen my immune system prior to vacationing. Also my wife was with me and had no health issues effect her.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Très bel hôtel.

Les restaurants spécialisés ont besoin d'être entièrement rénovés. Pas de spectacles dans le théâtre principal. Le domaine est très vaste, bien entretenu, mais parfois déroutant. La nourriture dans les restaurants communs est très bonne. Aucun bâtiment n'offre de vue sur l'océan, car ils sont tous de faible hauteur. La plage est très bien située, propre et bordée d'arbres. Trop loin de l'aéroport et d'aucune ville.

Very nice Hotel. The specialty restaurants need total improvements. No shows in the main theatre. Very large grounds, although kept vey well, sometime it is confusing. Food in common restaurants very well. No ocean view from any building, due to low rise styles. The beach very well situated and clean, with many trees. Too far from the airport, and not close to any city.

La chambre d'hôtel était très spacieuse et propre. Le réfrigérateur était régulièrement approvisionné et les serviettes renouvelées. Les jardins étaient bien entretenus. Le buffet était très bon et il y avait un choix varié de plats à la carte que nous pouvions réserver avant notre arrivée.

Great resort! The hotel room was very spacious and clean. The fridge was regularly stocked and towels replenished. The grounds were well kept. The buffet was very good and there was a nice variety of Ala Cartes that we could book pre-trip.

L'endroit est très luxueux, du début à la fin. Son emplacement sur la rive sud est l'un de ses principaux atouts. La plage est superbe. Le buffet est plutôt bon, mais attention, tous les buffets souffrent du même manque de variété. Les restaurants à la carte sont excellents, mais réservez dès que possible, car ils sont très prisés.

Wonderful resort The place is very luxurious from beginning to end. The location on south shore is one of the best things about it. A great beach area. The buffet is quite good but beware that all buffets suffer the same hum-drum-ness. The ala carte restaurants are tremendous but book as soon as you can, they get booked up.

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Certainement pas 5 étoiles

Lors de notre arrivée, on nous a informés que notre mini-réfrigérateur ne contiendrait qu'une bouteille d'eau. Pas de boissons gazeuses ni de bière gratuite. On nous a également dit que seuls deux des restaurants annoncés étaient ouverts, et que tous deux servaient principalement des fruits de mer, auxquels je suis extrêmement allergique. Il n'y avait pas de service au bord de la piscine (personne pour nous proposer des boissons ou ramasser nos verres vides). Même chose pour le buffet...Je m'ass [... lire plus]eyais, mais on ne m'apportait ni eau ni café avant que j'aie presque fini mon repas. Certains soirs, on m'a servi du blanc de poulet et du poisson CRUS. Pas seulement insuffisamment cuits, mais crus. Pas de bar sur la plage. Aucune animation ni aucun sport pendant la journée. Le soir, l'animation se limitait généralement à un chanteur local qui se produisait pendant deux heures. Pas de danseurs ni rien d'autre. Le complexe est réservé aux plus de 18 ans, mais en réalité, la moyenne d'âge était plutôt de 70 ans. Notre chambre offrait une belle vue, mais elle était située juste à côté de la route principale, ce qui nous permettait de voir les voitures, les gaz d'échappement et les courses. Très difficile de faire la sieste. La plage est magnifique, l'eau est cristalline, sans algues ni rochers. C'était probablement le meilleur aspect.

Definitely Not 5 Star Upon check in, we were told that our mini fridge would only contain 1 bottle of water. No pop or complimentary beer. We were also told that only 2 of the advertised restaurants were open, both of which served shellfish mostly that I am extremely allergic to. There was no poolside service (no one to offer drinks or pick up our empty glasses). Same with the buffet...I would sit down but wouldn't be offered water or coffee until I was almost done with my meal. A few nights i was served RAW chicken breast and fish. Not just undercooked, but raw. No beach bar. No daytime entertainment of any kind or any sports. Night time entertainment was usually just a live local singer for a couple hours only. No dancers or anything. Resort is 18+ but it was really 70+. Our room had a nice view but it was right next to the main road so we could see cars and constant exhaust and racing. Very hard to nap. Beach is stunning, water is crystal clear with no seaweed or rocks. That was probably the best part.
