Je suis récemment revenue du Gran Ventana Resort à Puerto Plata. Ayant visité ce complexe une douzaine de fois, je n'ai pas été surprise de constater que tout était fantastique. La nourriture, le personnel, le temps, la propreté et le rapport qualité-prix sont excellents. Le terrain de golf est accessible à pied. Pendant mon séjour, j'ai trébuché dans les escaliers et je me suis cogné la tête. On m'a immédiatement emmené au centre d'urgence situé à seulement 100 mètres de l'hôtel. My favorite I recently returned from The Gran Ventana Resort in Puerto Plata. Having been to this resort a dozen times, I was not surprised that everything was fantastic. Great food, staff, weather, cleanliness and all round bang for your buck. Walking distance to golf course. During my stay I tripped on the stairs and hit my head. They immediately took me to the emergency centre a mere 100 meters from the resort. Staff stayed with me the entire time. I would and have recommended this resort to both family and friends. Le Grand Gran Ventana

C'est un très bel hôtel. La propriété et le terrain sont très bien entretenus. Les chambres sont nettoyées tous les jours et les réfrigérateurs sont bien remplis. Les deux piscines sont bien entretenues et les bars sont à proximité. La nourriture était toujours bonne et abondante. La semaine a été une pause merveilleuse et le temps était magnifique.

The Grand Gran Ventana This is a lovely hotel. The property and grounds are so well taken care of. The rooms are cleaned daily and the fridges well stocked. Both pool areas are well looked after and the bars are nearby. The food was always good and plentiful. The week was a wonderful break and the weather was beautiful.

Le meilleur de Puerto Plata

Le complexe est d'une taille parfaite. Les chambres sont propres et bien entretenues, en particulier par Lydia dans le bâtiment 2000. Ma chambre était la 2110, située à l'extrémité du complexe, le plus près de la plage. La nourriture à la carte est excellente, tout comme le service. La plage est en très bon état et elle est longue des deux côtés de la station pour profiter des promenades. Une chose que je recommanderais est de mettre un autre miroir pleine taille dans le coin salon de la chambre [... lire plus] et peut-être quelques crochets dans la salle de bain pour tenir les serviettes humides. Le rangement des vêtements était un peu un défi car il n'y a pas beaucoup d'espace de commode inclus

Best of Puerto Plata Resort is a perfect size. Rooms are clean and well attended to especially by Lydia in building 2000. My room was 2110 situated at the far end of resort closest to beach. Food at the à la cart is wonderful as was the service. Is in great shape and it is long on both sides of the resort to enjoy walks. One thing I would recommend is put another full size mirror in the living area of the room and perhaps some hooks in the bathroom to hold damp towels. Storing clothes was a bit of a challenge as there isn’t much dresser space included

Station moyenne

Petit complexe avec des installations et des divertissements très moyens. Le bar principal a vraiment peu de places assises et ressemble plus à un bar de piscine qu'à un bar de rassemblement "principal". Le sol de la chambre Junior Suite était très sale à notre arrivée, il n'y avait qu'un seul miroir dans la chambre qui était la salle de bain et pour la taille de la chambre, ils auraient pu avoir une commode pour plus de rangement et un autre miroir ! L'un d'entre nous vivait dans sa valise.  [... lire plus] Le Wifi dans la chambre était lent mais fonctionnait une fois que vous aviez débranché le routeur plusieurs fois. Nourriture moyenne. Les tables du buffet en plein air n'étaient pas très propres, celles sur lesquelles nous nous sommes assis étaient collantes. Il y avait beaucoup d'abeilles autour de vous pendant que vous mangiez. Nous n'avons obtenu qu'une seule réservation pour le restaurant italien. La dame n'a pas été très aimable lors de la réservation et nous a dit qu'il n'y avait pas d'autres réservations disponibles pour nous. La plage est magnifique. Il était agréable de pouvoir marcher quelques minutes jusqu'à un petit quartier commerçant. Les toilettes publiques du complexe (près de la piscine et de la scène) étaient vraiment difficiles d'accès, elles sont si petites et je ne suis pas une personne très grande. Je ne reviendrais pas et je ne recommanderais pas cet hôtel à mes amis, mais si quelqu'un l'a acheté à un très bon prix, il sera probablement satisfait.

Average Resort Small resort with very average facilities and entertainment. The main bar area really has limited seating and is more like a pool bar than the 'main' gathering bar. Junior suite room floor was very dirty when we arrived, only one mirror in the room which was the bathroom and for the size of the room they could have a dresser for more storage and another mirror! One of us lived out of the suitcase. Wifi in room was slow but worked once you unplugged the router a few times. Food average. Tables in the open air buffet area were not that clean, the ones we sat at were sticky. There were lots of bees around you while eating. We only got one booking for the Italian restaurant. The lady was not too friendly when booking and said there were no other bookings available for us. The beach there is beautiful. It was nice to be able to walk a few min to a little shopping area. The public washrooms in the resort (by the pool and stage) were really hard to get into they are so small and I am not a really big person. I would not return so I would not recommend this to any of my friends but if someone got this for a very good price then you would likely be happy.

Endroit agréable - Personnel extraordinaire

C'est la deuxième fois que nous venons dans ce complexe. Je dirais que c'est une station moyenne qui n'est pas trop grande. Je pense que cela attire beaucoup de monde, en particulier les Canadiens qui sont très sympathiques. La nourriture est bonne, il y a toujours quelque chose pour tout le monde, pas trop, mais bonne. Le personnel est très sympathique et la plage est superbe et il est facile de se baigner dans l'océan. La piscine n'est qu'une piscine centrale avec un bar, mais il y a tout ce q [... lire plus]u'il faut pour un bon prix. Nous avons réservé en août pour ce voyage de décembre, et nous avons payé 1500 $ pour 2 semaines, tout compris. (difficile à battre) Nous avons passé un agréable moment. Merci VH !

Nice Place - Amazing Staff This is our second time here to this resort. I would say that it is a average resort that is not too big. I think this attracts a lot of people here, especially Canadians who are very friendly. The food is good, there's always something for everyone, not over the top, but good. The staff is very friendly and the beach is great and easy to get into ocean for a swim. The pool is just one central pool with a bar, but it has everything you need for a great price. We booked in august for this December trip, and we paid $1500 for 2 weeks, all inclusive. (hard to beat) It was a lovely time. Thanks VH!

Grand centre de villégiature

Ce centre de villégiature était parfait. La nourriture du buffet n'aurait pas pu être meilleure. Chaque jour, le poste de découpe proposait une viande différente et les accompagnements étaient délicieux. La piscine tranquille était géniale le matin et nous avons adoré la femme derrière le bar. Je n'ai jamais été dans un complexe hôtelier aussi propre et partout où vous regardez, il y a une personne qui travaille ou qui nettoie. Le personnel est l'un des plus sympathiques que j'aie jamais vu [... lire plus]s dans un complexe hôtelier. Je recommanderais sans hésiter ce complexe à tous ceux qui cherchent un endroit où passer une semaine au paradis.

Great resort This resort was perfect. The food in the buffet could not have been better. Ever day at the carving station was a different kind of meat and the sides were delicious. The quiet pool was great in the mornings and we loved the woman behind the bar. I have never been to a resort that has been so clean and everywhere you look there is some kind of person working or cleaning. The staff are some of the friendliest I have ever seen at a resort. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking for a place to spend a week in paradise.

Centre de villégiature accueillant pour les familles

Ma femme et moi sommes allés au Grand Ventana 3 fois depuis 18 ans, et avons rencontré des gens qui étaient venus jusqu'à 20 fois ou même 36 fois comme nous l'avons découvert lors de notre dernier voyage... La plus grande chose que nous avons apprise lors d'un dîner que nous avons eu en groupe, c'est un gentleman qui était venu ici 36 fois. Selon lui, la FAMILLE et la sécurité ...

Family friendly Resort My wife and i have been to the Grand Ventana 3 times since 18, and have meet folks whom have been here up to 20 times or even 36 times as we found out during our last trip… the biggest thing that we learned was from a dinner we had as a group, was from the Gentleman who had been here 36 times. In his words FAMILY And Safe ..

J'ai hâte de revenir

Cet hôtel est génial, c'est la taille parfaite (ni trop grand, ni trop petit) tout est accessible à pied. Le personnel est fantastique, la nourriture est incroyable, l'hôtel est extrêmement propre, la plage est géniale et vous vous ferez de nouveaux amis à chaque visite.

Can’t wait to come back This hotel is awesome, it’s the perfect size (not too big and not too small) everything is within walking distance. The staff are fantastic the food is amazing the hotel is extremely clean, the beach is great and you will make new friends every time you visit.

Des vacances étonnantes

Très propre et confortable, la nourriture et les boissons étaient excellentes ! Il n'y a pas beaucoup de marche à faire dans la station, mais vous pouvez aller loin sur la plage. Le personnel est très sympathique et toujours prêt à faire plaisir. Nous attendons déjà avec impatience notre prochaine visite.

Amazing Vacation Very clean and comfortable, food and drinks were great! Not a ton of walking on the resort but you can go a long way on the beach. Very friendly staff always willing to please. We look forward to our next visit already.

Excellent centre de villégiature !

Nous venons de passer 9 jours dans ce centre de villégiature. Nous l'avons totalement apprécié ! Nous n'avons rien à redire sur les piscines, les chambres, la nourriture et la plage. Le personnel est très amical partout et tous travaillent très dur ! Nous avons un peu manqué d'animation le soir, mais nous avons beaucoup apprécié la discothèque ! Dans l'ensemble, nous pensons réserver à nouveau en mars pour deux semaines.

Great resort! Just home from 9 days at this resort. Have totally enjoyed it! From pools, rooms, food and beach we have no complaints. Very friendly staff everywhere and all very hard working! Lacking a little in the entertainment in the evenings but really enjoyed themselves Disco!! Overall, we are thinking of booking again for March for two weeks.

Belle station balnéaire

Très beau centre de villégiature. La nourriture est bonne et il y en a pour tous les goûts. Le personnel est très sympathique et fait un excellent travail pour garder les salles de bains propres, les jardins et les pelouses magnifiques et la plage ratissée et propre.

Beautiful resort Really nice resort. The food is good with something for everyone to choose from. The staff were very friendly and did an excellent job keeping the bathrooms clean, the gardens and lawns beautiful and the beach raked and clean.

Abordable

Ce complexe est abordable mais les salles de bains doivent être accessibles aux personnes à mobilité réduite, par exemple en remplaçant les baignoires par des douches debout, et la pression de l'eau est insuffisante dans les douches. La nourriture était savoureuse mais le choix était parfois répétitif, en particulier pour le petit déjeuner. Le restaurant à la plage était bon mais la pizza était limitée et quand on leur a demandé s'ils en faisaient plus, la réponse était NON mais nous avons fin [... lire plus]i par voir une pizza entière partir pour être apportée à un client dans le resort, la variété de pizza manque, il faudrait plus de pizza pepperoni, le maïs n'est pas un grand succès avec les touristes, plutôt pour les locaux.

Affordable This resort is affordable but the bathrooms require access to people with mobility difficulties, such as replacing tubs with stand up showers, water pressure poor in the showers. Food was tasty but selection was repetitive at times especially for breakfast. The restaurant at the beach was good food but the pizza was limited and when asked if they were making more, the answer was NO but we ended seeing a whole pizza walk away to bring to a customer in the resort, variety of pizza lacks, more pepperoni pizza required, corn not a big hit with tourists, more for locals.

Très belle

C'est mon 8ème séjour dans ce complexe pour des raisons que je partage avec beaucoup d'autres, y compris ma famille .... C'est un endroit pittoresque, magnifique et parfait pour nous, la nourriture est exceptionnelle, tout comme le personnel et l'attention portée aux détails. Mais ! !!...en haute saison, je changerais l'idée d'autoriser autant de locaux parce que c'est déjà beaucoup trop occupé...nous payons aussi pour être un invité VIP ! Je ne veux pas manquer de respect à ces personnes mer [... lire plus]veilleuses mais les files d'attente sont déjà trop longues et certains d'entre eux sont tout simplement... impolis !

Very nice This is my 8th stay at this resort for reasons I share with many others including family!.. It's quaint..beautiful and perfect size for us..food is exceptional as are the staff and attention to detail.. But!!!...in high season I would change the idea of allowing as many locals because it's already far too busy..we also pay to be a VIP guest! I mean no disrespect to these wonderful people but the lineups are already too long and some of them are simply..rude!

Gran Vantana Resort

Un lieu idéal pour se détendre, manger et profiter du soleil. Nombreux buffets pour le petit-déjeuner, le déjeuner et le dîner. L'hôtel est petit, ce qui permet de ne pas avoir à marcher d'un point à l'autre de l'hôtel. Le restaurant italien à la carte était génial, il faudrait juste que les portions soient un peu plus grandes. J'y suis allé au moins 6 fois et je continuerais à y retourner,

Great resort to relax, eat and enjoy the sun. Many buffet options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The resort is small which results in less walking from any point in the resort to other areas. The Italian restaurant for a la carte was awesome just needs to have a little bigger portions. Have gone at least 6 times and would keep going back,

J'y retournerais

Hôtel plus ancien mais bien entretenu. La chambre était propre et les gens sont gentils. Je dirais qu'il y a une chose que je n'ai pas aimée : le bar du hall principal ouvrait à 10 heures et si vous vouliez un cappuccino le matin, vous deviez aller dans la zone du buffet. Les serveurs du buffet étaient gentils et essayaient de satisfaire tout le monde, mais ils avaient l'air d'être en sous-effectif la plupart du temps et le fait d'ajouter la préparation des cappuccinos le matin représentait beau [... lire plus]coup de travail inutile. Il serait bien de déplacer la machine dans la zone du bar et d'ouvrir le bar plus tôt pour laisser un peu de temps aux serveurs du buffet. La nourriture était très bonne. Beaucoup de choix pour tout le monde. L'équipe de divertissement a également travaillé dur. Très occupé le week-end avec les locaux et même la piscine tranquille n'était pas tranquille mais nous ne sommes pas des adeptes de la piscine donc la plupart du temps nous étions sur la plage. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons eu une bonne expérience.

Would go back Older hotel but well maintained. The room was clean and people are nice. I would say one thing that I didn't like was their main lobby bar would open at 10 and if you wanted a cappuccino in the morning you would have to go in the buffet area. The waiters in the buffet were nice and trying to accommodate everyone but looked like they were shorthanded most of the time and adding to make the cappuccinos in the morning was a lot of unnecessary work. Would be nice to have the machine moved to the bar area instead and open the bar early to give the waiters in the buffet some breathing room. The food was very good. A lot of choices for everyone. The entertainment team worked hard as well. Very busy on the weekend with locals and even the quiet pool wasn't quiet but we're not pool people so most of the time we were on the beach. Overall we had a good experience.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce complexe. La plage était très longue et il était agréable de s'y promener. La nourriture était la meilleure que nous ayons mangée en République dominicaine. La chambre était superbe. Vue sur l'océan à gauche et sur la piscine à droite. Nous ne nous attendions pas à pouvoir voir l'océan car nous avions réservé la chambre de base. Tout le personnel était super sympathique et serviable. Raul et Jackie (Bar) étaient géniaux. Les divertissements n'étaie [... lire plus]nt pas les meilleurs. Kareoke trois soirs par semaine. Je recommanderais sans hésiter ce complexe.

Great Resort Enjoyed our time at this resort. Beach was very long and was a lovely walk. Food was best we’ve had in the Dominican. Room was great. Ocean views on the left and pool views on the right. Didn’t expect to be able to see the ocean as we booked just the basic room. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Raul and Jackie (Bar) were awesome. Entertainment was not the best. Kareoke three nights out of the week. Would definitely recommend this resort.

Que puis-je dire de cet incroyable hôtel ? Ce complexe est très bien entretenu, il dispose d'un personnel extraordinaire et d'une équipe de direction solide qui poussent tous dans la bonne direction pour s'assurer que vous êtes pleinement satisfaits de leurs services, de la réception aux restaurants, en passant par le personnel de nettoyage et l'équipe d'animation. Je viens de réaliser qu'environ 50 % des voyageurs ont déjà séjourné dans ce complexe à plusieurs reprises, c'est-à-dire 5, 6, 10 o [... lire plus]u 12 fois

Amazing resort What can i say about this amazing resort If you are looking for a top notch resort and a low budget you got choose this resort.This resort is very well kept, has an amazing staff members and strong management team that are all pushing in the right direction making sure that you are fully satisfied with their services starting from the front reception desk to the restaurants,to the cleaning staff and to the entertainment team.just amazing resort and we can't wait till we go back again and again and again. Oh I just realised also that about 50%of their travellers have been at that resort multiple of times like I am talking 5 or 6 or 10 or 12 times

Un lieu de séjour agréable

Très bon hôtel pour passer des vacances. Nous avons été satisfaits de tout : service de nettoyage quotidien et changement de serviettes, nourriture toujours fraîche et variée au buffet et dans les restaurants à la carte, événements d'animation, plage propre à 3 minutes de marche. Un grand merci à Juan Carlos, Wendy, Henry et Bryan et à toute l'équipe d'animation qui ont rendu notre séjour amusant et agréable.

Nice place to stay Very good resort to pass vacation. We were satisfied by everything: daily cleaning service and towel change,always fresh food variety in the buffet and a la carte restaurants, animation events, clean beach in 3 minutes walk. Special thanks to Juan Carlos, Wendy, Henry and Bryan and all the animation team who made our stay fun and enjoyable.

Un centre de villégiature extraordinaire ! Meilleure expérience

L'hôtel était très propre, le service excellent et le personnel très sympathique. Les enfants ont adoré, ils n'ont eu aucun problème. Tout s'est très bien passé. La nourriture était bonne aussi, très variée. Plage magnifique et propre et très sûre !

Amazing resort! Best experience Hotel was very clean, great service and very friendly staff. Kids loved it, had no issues at all. Everything went very well. Food was good too, lots of variety. Beautiful and clean beach and very safe!

Très agréable

La République dominicaine a été merveilleuse, comme d'habitude. 1. Le personnel était serviable, heureux et solidaire. Merci Solange. 2. Les restaurants de l'hôtel, le personnel, la nourriture et les boissons étaient excellents. Merci Felix pour avoir répondu à tous nos besoins. 3. La piscine et la plage avec les récifs coralliens pour la plongée avec masque et tuba étaient propres, chaudes et avaient beaucoup de chaises longues. 4. Les chambres ont un aspect un peu fatigué mais sont en bon  [... lire plus]état. De plus, il n'est pas nécessaire d'être dominicain pour rester dans sa chambre ! 5. Jairus de Sunwing a été d'une aide précieuse pour notre réservation Le seul inconvénient a été de devoir attendre le vol de retour de Sunwing et nos bagages à notre retour à Toronto. Les deux ont eu plus d'une heure de retard.

Very Enjoyable Dominican Republic was wonderful as usual. 1. Staff were helpful, happy and supportive. Thanks Solange. 2. Hotel restaurants, staff and food and drinks were great. Thanks Felix for attending to our every need. 3. Pool and beach with coral reefs for snorkeling were clean, warm and had lots of lounge chairs. 4. Rooms are a bit tired looking but are in good repair. Besides, you don't got to Dominican to stay in your room! 5. Jairus at Sunwing was extremely helpful with our booking Only downside was having to wait for the Sunwing return flight and for our luggage when we got back to Toronto. Both were over an hour late.
