Hôtel tres bien

L'hôtel est très bien. Très bien aménagé. Le personnel très serviable et souriant. La niurriture est assez bonne et variée, toutefois elle n'est pas très chaude. La plsge est très bien meme si le sable n'est pas très fin et n'est pas blanc, msis plutôt brun. Les chzmbres sont ordinaires mais très propres. On ne manque jamais de chaises ni de palapa. Je conseil cet hôtel même s' il est situé à au moins une heure et demie de l'aéroport

Grand bahia principe san juan

hotel was clean, grounds well kept, pools cleaned constantly, our room was done nicely everyday, foods were good, breakfast was super everyday, people working were very friendly, our stay here was fantastic, we all {4} will definitely come back.....and price was inexpensive compared to other resorts. beach was nice, hot water in shower everyday too ! our travel agent Nicole was very helpfull too !

Great staff

The grounds were clean and well kept although the beach was not great. The location was a little remote (1h 30m bus ride) but there were plenty of things to do while on the resort grounds. The shows at the end of the night were fun and worth attending, the food was better than expected, and the staff were amazing! My favourite waiter was Wandy who works at the buffet and I always made sure to sit in his section. For the money, it is a decent experience but if you are looking for a gorgeous beach [... lire plus], it may not be the best resort for you.

Left a lot to be desired

Stay: dec 17-24, 2016. Food selection: good. Dolce Vita was very buggy restaurant, bugs flying around. La Brisa was very good especially at Breakfast (excellent omelette bar) Beach: left a lot to be desired. Sand fleas ate our feet and legs and whole bodies. Public merchants always hounding when got close to Playa Indiana. Staff: very friendly. Evening Circus show was INCREDIBLE! Best show of the week by far. Mini golf/Tennis area: smelled of sewage frequently but sweet mini putt course. [... lire plus] Site: pretty great. Large property, could walk for a long time without going in the same area, well maintained. Overall I wouldn't go back because I am huge in to snorkelling and there really wasn't much clear calm water for a reef or to see anything the resort is on the north side of the island in the Atlantic Ocean which is rarely calm. But sun was good and comfy lounge chairs on the beach were pretty good.

Great resort!

Staff was very friendly, food was delicious and the resort was very clean. Would go back for sure! The pool was very clean and the swim up bar was awesome! We all had a great time and would go back for sure

Nice resort

Unfortunately due to a tropical depression passing through the Dominican causing heavy torencial rain for the full seven days I am unable to give this resort a fair evaluation. The staff were very friendly and attempted to keep everyone occupied in the lobby and other indoor areas during our stay. The rooms were nice and kept clean. Food and service at the one al acart that we went too was excellent. The buffett was reasonably good except for three days during which time a large group (apro [... lire plus]x 450) of local folks stayed at the hotel for a mini convention. During that time service and food quantity at the buffet was very poor. Also service at the bars seemed to cater to the local crowd. After they had left the service at the buffet and the bars returned to normal. Nice looking pool but beach very poor.

Amazing Resort

We had the time of our lives at this resort. I was so clean and beautiful. The staff was so helpful and kind. I am rather picky when it comes to food so I didn't enjoy it as much as some however it was fair. We will definitely be visiting Bahia Principe again!!

Used to Love it but standards are down :-(

The resort used to be so clean but this time the pools were full of crap in the bottoms there was a dirty diaper on one lounge chair for 4 days. Our walk to our room there were 5 empty pop bottles on lawn and in bush for well over a week. We never had face clothes for the last 9 days. Our fridge didn't work so our drinks were warm. Meals have gotten cheaper as there is much starches (potatoes, rice & macaroni) instead of the awesome veggie stir frys etc. that they used to serve. A 70 year old wo [... lire plus]man fell by pool, the lifeguard looked over at her then went back to watching pool side games. When her husband asked for a bandaid for her bleeding arm he was told by front desk to go buy some! Sad to see it went down hill as we loved going there!

My review of this Grand Bahia Principe

I enjoyed my stay at this resort, the food was fantastic the beach was nice and the staff were friendly. The only complaint was the amount of bug bites we both came back with and the lack of English that staff was able to speak. The nightly entertainment was slightly under budget but still entertaining to watch. The pool was a very noisy place to be since the games and music would always be happening. The beach was very quiet since everyone seemed to be at the pool so if you wanted to have qu [... lire plus]iet I recommend there. The a la cart was definitely a step up from the buffet and was extremely delicious. Our hotel room was a standard hotel room and was nothing special, the plumbing was very low flow and we used the lobby washroom majority of the trip. Sometimes around the one side of the lobby you would get a big wave of smell of sewage which was slightly unpleasant. Overall though I had an excellent time on my vacation, a few minor things about this resort but its nothing that to me would make or break a trip. The staff were very nice and made us feel very welcomed the whole trip.

Amazing Experience

I loved staying at the bahia prince San Juan, the people were very welcoming and is a amazing for a family vacation. I'm very picky with hotels rooms and I was happy on how clean they are with the whole resort. I will be coming back for next time 😊.

Great resort!

Everything is excellent services, entertainment, beach, grounds, pools, food, staff but the sand flies and bed bugs were killing us. Too bad because this resort is amazing otherwise. If it weren't for the bugs, I would go there again for sure.

Amazing Resort

The hotel is beautiful, the beach has a lot of sandflies. The rooms were very clean and decorated. The staff were very friendly especially the animation team, the buffet and the front office reception staff. We being vegetarian were treated like kings and queens, being served on the table by the head chef. The animation team members, Angel, Daniel, Yubili were very friendly and entertainment was amazing. The front reception staff, Adeline and Michael were very helpful and this being our 5t [... lire plus]h trip to the resort upgraded our room. Thanks to all!!

Relaxing Vacation

Spent a week with my daughter and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The weather was amazing, sun was hot, pool refreshing and the AC cold. The food was good and there were was a lot of variety. As others have noted there are sand fleas and other bugs but don't let this deter, you just be prepared as some seem to be bothered more than others. Plenty of activities and you do as little or as much as you want and we went to relax.

Great Time! Great Value!

We had a group of 11 people and had a great time at this resort. There were really no complaints from anyone in our group. The entire complex is near the ocean so the views are great. Our number one compliment was the food, great buffet with tons of variety. The gourmet a la carte was also excellent. Our expectations were not high due to the excellent deal we got as a group, it was worth every penny. We had a fun time at the entertainment strip at night, a few minutes walk up from the lobby and  [... lire plus]enjoyed karoke, the casino and dancing. The shops in the strip area were great during the day as well. The resort is 20 years old or so I believe so don't expect a new complex. Everything is well maintained and extremely clean at this resort. The staff are excellent and make you feel welcome wherever you go. The side pools are a good option if you want peace and quiet away from the main pool. Overall I would recommend this resort and would go back.

Relaxing Resort

We stayed April17-24th weather was over cast most days and heavy rain 4 nights.The grounds were very clean and cleaned everyday. The beach was clean, lots of seaweed, however we had rough seas the first 4 days. The breakers in the water are less to be desired to look at, and you loose the breaking wave sound you come to enjoy while staying on a beach resort. The food was delicious, we were a party of 13 and we all found food to our liking. drinks were great the main lobby / swim bar was slow, bu [... lire plus]t the beach bar was very quick. The food at the lunch/ beach location was a hit everyday ! Amazing soups We found the private pools on the far ends of the resort to be the best, very clean and the bars there very fast and real frozen drinks not out of the slushy machines. The main pool was very cloudy and dirty. We were at this pool for the first day and wouldn't go back to it once we found the other pools at the end of each end of the resort. The rooms were standard rooms. The maids were great and we always had enough towels for all of us. However I did have my scuba mask and snorkel go missing from our room. :( we did the jeep safari with Marco Polo and it was amazing! The highlight of this trip was on our last day the scuba guys came around and had 3 hours open that afternoon and offered a 3 hour boat trip to us for a fair price, we saw the coast of San Juan and Samara. We snorkels and saw a cave but the seas were to rough to go in it, we saw new Villas being built. We went on a white sand beach then we went down a canal to a village where the scuba guy lives, he took us into the village where we saw local ppl go about their day and we bought pizza from a boy on the road who went back and got us 2 more pizza's they were amazing or we were just hungry from not eating lunch and having a few drinks on the boat. Over all great trip for all of us Over all nice resort

An ok but not amazing time

This resort was big and had a lot of activities to offer (from mini golf to dancing to archery, etc.). The beach was very rocky and the food was good but not amazing. The entertainment staff was good and very friendly but everyone seemed a little money hungry. The resort also allows locals to come in on weekends which makes the resort busy (longer waits to get drinks and food) and barely any pool side chairs available.

Great Resort

Very relaxing resort with great service. Food was adequate but more A la carte restaurants needed. Rooms had ample space and were very clean. Buffet had theme nights for dinner which help break up the regular selection on the buffet.

Wonderful resort.

Although we were a little disappointed at first, as we stayed at the Grand Bahia Principe Esmeralda, in Punta Cana in previous years, but we had a wonderful time. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Because we had a standard room, they did not have a coffee maker or iron in the rooms. They are only offered in the suites. Rental of these are not an option. Also the safe had to be rented. All in all I would recommend this resort as a very reasonable price for an all inclusive vacation. The f [... lire plus]ood was wonderful.

LOVELY RESORT

FOOD WAS EXCELLENT AT ALL LOCATIONS-INTERNATIONAL RESTAURANT WAS FABULOUSLY AND YOU TREATED LIKE ROYALITY FACILTIES WERE GREAT-ALL SPORTS ACTIVITIES AVAILABLE FOR ALL AGES STAFF WENT OUT OF THERE WAY TO PLEASE YOU GROUNDS WERE KEPT UP DAILY

Nice quite resort

The workers are amazing Eddy and all the staff the food is good not 5 star but it is a four star this was our second time to this resort no reward for return visitors the grounds are well kept always being worked the rooms are clean but dated. the pools are clean for us Canadians yes they do have clamato for the ceazers lovers
