Amazing resort!

Very nice resort, clean, attentive staff. One issue with the safe in the room but was resolved fast. Lots of activities, shows every night. Easily accessible for multiple excursions. Quiet rooms, especially if further from the reception area.

Felt like home!

My husband & myself felt at home at this resort. Very clean and the food was excellent! Only down fall was in the main lobby we kept getting approached to buy a Bahia time share. Lots of activities. Beach was nice & kept clean. Staff was very helpful and attentive. Cant wait to go back!

Beautiful Resort

CLEAN and very well maintained. Children sitting at swim up bar wasn't good in our opinion. Many Excursions offered were too far away and quite pricey for Canadians. The shows were excellent. The staff were amazing!!

O.K Resort

The ride from the airport was a little rough, the bus was something different we could barely get on it was so narrow. The resort was nice, grounds well kept. I found the staff not overly friendly, except for Alex in Mediterranean Restaurant very nice person and very entertaining. I would not recommend Dolce Vita Italian Restaurant The buffet part was O.K but the stuff we ordered was awful. Our room was nice and kept clean. The water pressure is very low. All in all it was O.K for the price we p [... lire plus]aid. At the Buffet there were a lot of choices of different food so you wont go hungry. They had a few of excursions but very pricy.

Outstanding Resort

Overall Experience was amazing!! My Daughter end up hurting herself but the trip was never compromised. The level of care and excellent service continued and exceeded our expectations. I will be back!

Excellent

The hotel was very nice, food was very good and staff where exceptional. Since the hotel is isolated it takes a little longer to go on excursions. But if you are only interested in relaxing on the beach or poolside this is your place.

Great resort!

Hotel/grounds are clean & comfortable, pool is fun and staff is great. You can't go wrong with this chain. The great thing about the San Juan location is the hotel is smaller and more intimate. Other Bahia Principe locations can be too big.

Great Resort

Everything was great except there was one step that came from the buffet to the pool bar that should be ramped up. Not only myself but several other people during the 7 days that we were there either fell or almost fell. Something really needs to done about this. But overall I would recommend this resort. Great food and great service!!

Good for money and weather in February

Clean, nice grounds, pools, beach is bad, but pools make up for it. Good food. Customer service is abominable. AirTransat representative was dismissive and condescending and lied that we can not check in for return flight on line, because on destination it is before 72 hours (was not true at all - I did checked in on line between 24 hours before flight).

Awesome

Just returned - Feb 12-19th - great resort, long beautiful beach - not white sand but still great - perfect for walking, great food, clean, amazing staff - there are bugs so bring your own spray though the resort does spray in the evenings - amazing time

Nice Resort, however too far from airport

The staff was always so friendly, food is great. Resort was pretty clean, the grounds could use a little more pizzazz, it all looks the same. Rafael was our favorite. Always coming over to our table even though he may have not been our waiter. Unfortunately the downfall of the trip was the hour and forty minute bus ride back and forth to the hotel and airport, something in which my travel agent should have informed us about. Lots of things to do, the beach is gorgeous.

Great Stay

Great value, for what you are getting. Lots of activities and amenities to keep you busy all day and the service was very good. It's definitely a more family oriented resort and was mostly pretty quiet at night. You never saw anyone get out of hand and the bars on the resort were pretty tame. The beach is nice enough to lounge on, but don't expect to go swimming for long periods because the water is a bit rough and the lots of areas have rocks and seaweed. Overall it was a great resort and we w [... lire plus]ere happy with our stay.

First time for my kids!

We stayed at the Grand Bahia Principe Feb 5 through 12th in a suite. The grounds were very well maintained, and the cleaning staff were always efficient and friendly. . People were always friendly however the beach was a little disappointing, not what I was expecting compared to what is advertised in the travel brochures however we still enjoyed ourselves. We stayed in a suite which was more than enough room. The only down side was that of the in room safe that needed to be replaced as it was no [... lire plus]t working and the electrical was a little touchy when it came to charging our cameras and phones. The kids had an amazing time in the pool, and certainly enjoyed the banana mamas and loved the weather! The hotel is a bit far from the airport however it is a very relaxing atmosphere.

Aspiring 5 star

Overall a good resort, not as high end as other Bahia principle (.I.e.Esmeralda in Punta Cana). Overall clean resort, can get busy in its central area. Quality of beach sand lower compared with Punta Cana.

An A ONE RESORT

What a wonderful place for a holiday! The food is great and all the restaurants treat you like royalty. They have many pools but the main one is the best, especially with the swim-up bar. The rooms are amazing and comfortable. Will be going there again.

Clean, Friendly and Good Food

Rooms were clean, staff were friendly, food was good, beach was nice. Service at the bars was slow and the resort was not at full capacity. No stools at any bar to sit and gab. Good bang for your buck

Great Resort for Relaxation

very secluded resort with a great beach. 4 pools to choose from with many bars. Food at ala carte restaurants was very good and buffet was great. Our room, Master Suite was fantastic with great view of the ocean. Service and grounds were exceptional

Great resort

The resort was very clean, from the washrooms to our rooms...the lobby and the grounds!!! The buffet was very good, always a great variety to choose from(sometimes there was a couple cold things that should have been hot) the staff were all friendly...one sweetheart that stands out the most is Maria, she cleans the lobby washrooms, always a smile on her face and says hi each time she sees you!!!!

Fantastic Vacation

The grounds are absolutely gorgeous. This is a huge resort that offers a shuttle service which was very helpful. We ate mostly at the Main Buffet and the food was awesome. Biggest buffet I have seen on any of our vacations. Lots of variety that no one would walk away hungry. The room was fantastic, we had a one bedroom om master suite and would do it again. The ocean view and beach from the balcony was beautiful. Pool was great and the entertainment staff did a great job getting everyone involve [... lire plus]d in daily activities around the pool. Only thing I wished for was a rye & coke and they had neither. They carry Pepsi only which gives me severe heart burn but I wouldn't say it ruined my vacation. Water is always good lol and so is Vodka and Orange Juice. Great Vaction! I have already recommended this resort to a view of my friends and can't wait to go back.

A definite on my return list!!

I had reservations on traveling solo for a tropical vacation... But it turned out to be awesome... Great service, amazing food...all my needs met and then some! I would give it a 4.5 rating. My trip central agent chose the best place for me... And would use her again.
