Le centre de villégiature était excellent pour le rapport qualité-prix. Les divertissements étaient géniaux. Ne manquez pas le spectacle de Michael Jackson si vous y allez, cela vaut la peine de rester debout. Le personnel était formidable, très reconnaissant et serviable. La nourriture était correcte, meilleure que la plupart des autres.

Great Trip The resort was great for the value. Entertainment was awesome. Don't miss the Michael Jackson show if you go well worth staying up for. Staff were great very appreciative and helpful. Food was OK better than most.

Un personnel extraordinaire !!!

Le personnel a dépassé nos attentes, notamment en ce qui concerne les enfants. Le terrain était bien entretenu à tout moment. Les piscines, la plage et les divertissements étaient tous fantastiques. Les restaurants à la carte étaient de grande qualité et le buffet était satisfaisant. Encore une fois, un personnel extraordinaire !

Amazing Staff!!! The staff exceeding our expectations especially when dealing with the children. The grounds were well maintained at all times. The pools, beach and entertainment were all fantastic. The a la carte restaurants were top quality and the buffet was satisfactory. Again, amazing staff!!!

Starfish Cayo Santa Marie

Avec des plages magnifiques, un personnel agréable et des options de restauration correctes, le Starfish nous a beaucoup plu, à ma petite amie et à moi. Les équipements étaient accessibles, les terrains bien entretenus et le personnel généralement souriant. Les animations quotidiennes et nocturnes étaient excellentes : des musiciens de jazz bien entraînés aux grands danseurs, ils semblaient s'amuser avec les clients. With stunning beaches, pleasant staff, and decent-to-good food options, the Starfish was great to my girlfriend and I. The equipment was accessible, the grounds were well maintained, and the staff were usually smiling. The daily/ nightly entertaining was great, from well trained jazz musicians to great dancers they seemed to be having a good time with the guests. There's two lobbies to accommodate all your needs, and lots of bars to quench your thirst.

Plage et piscine magnifiques

Le site est propre. La verdure est un peu dense. Les divertissements ont besoin d'être améliorés. Le service à la clientèle laisse à désirer au bar et au restaurant. Les femmes de ménage sont fantastiques. Toujours en train de sourire et de dire Ola ! Le service de serviettes de plage n'est tout simplement pas disponible. Préparez-vous à utiliser les mêmes serviettes tout au long de la semaine.

Beautiful beach and pool areas The site is clean. A little dense on the greenery. Entertainment can use some help. Customer service is lacking in the bar and restaurant areas. Maids are fantastic. Always smiling and saying Ola!! Beach towel service is just not available. Be prepared to use same towels through the week.

5 star hospitality Immaculately clean, friendly, generous, efficient, with endless entertainment and options.an exceptional experience to relax and enjoy leisure time. Bring books and games to fill in the times when weather is not conducive to bathing and sunning. Expect some amazing foods and an abundance, much of which is bland and overcooked. We found there was plenty of food that was delicious and satisfying.

Nous avons séjourné au Starfish Santa Maria resort la semaine dernière avec notre bébé de 11 mois et nous avons passé un excellent moment. Les chambres étaient propres et spacieuses, la nourriture était assez bonne, en particulier le poisson frais grillé et les fruits que nous avions tous les jours. Je recommande vivement ce complexe. Il est adapté aux familles et aux enfants.

Great resort We stayed at Starfish Santa Maria resort last week with our 11 months old baby and we had a great time. The rooms were clean and spacious, the food was pretty good , especially the fresh grilled fish and fruits we had everyday. I would highly recommend this resort. It is family and kid friendly.

Pas vraiment ce que j'attendais

L'hôtel n'a pas répondu à mes attentes. Le taux de change est élevé et le dollar canadien vaut MOINS que le peso (CUC). La nourriture n'était pas ce à quoi je m'attendais... et très fade... sans réelle saveur. Je ne m'attendais pas à grand-chose, mais je n'y retournerais pas.

Not really what I expected The hotel did not meet my expectations. The exchange rate is high and the Canadian $ is worth LESS than their Peso (CUC) . The food was not what I expected...and very bland..no real flavor. I didn't expect much but would not go back again.

Bon centre de villégiature à Cuba

Hôtel moyen - très bon rapport qualité/prix. Nous avons voyagé avec nos 2 enfants et sommes revenus le 16 février. Beau complexe cubain. La nourriture n'était pas très bonne selon nos critères mais correcte pour Cuba (personne n'a été malade). Les chambres étaient correctes. Le service était correct. La plage était magnifique mais l'océan était agité. Si vous cherchez un endroit agréable et bon marché pour vous détendre, c'est un bon choix.

Good resort for Cuba Average hotel - great value for the money. We traveled with our 2 children and returned on Feb. 16. Nice Cuban resort. Food was not very good by our standards but ok for Cuba (no one got sick). Rooms were ok. Service was ok. Beach was gorgeous but ocean was rough. If you are looking for a nice, cheap place to relax, this would be a good choice.

Belle plage !

Nous avons voyagé avec notre enfant de 3 ans et notre bébé de 5 mois ! La plage était tout simplement magnifique et l'hôtel était propre et agréable. L'inconvénient pour nous était la nourriture ! Mon mari a été malade un soir et je me suis contentée de pain et de pâtes..... Ce n'est pas l'endroit idéal pour manger, mais apparemment, c'est la réputation de Cuba. Donc, si vous voulez une belle station balnéaire et une belle plage, le prix est correct. Apportez quelques collations familières pour  [... lire plus]les enfants... cela a été utile !) De plus, le trajet en bus depuis l'aéroport a duré environ 1 heure et 45 minutes...ouf ! Cela fait une très longue journée de voyage ! La piscine était magnifique, mais TRÈS froide ! Trop froide pour moi ! Nous avons apporté des serviettes, car nous avions lu cela dans un commentaire avant de partir, mais honnêtement, ce n'était pas du tout un problème.

Beautiful Beach! We travelled with our 3 year old and 5 month baby! The beach was just gorgeous and the hotel was clean and nice. The downside for us was the food! My hubby got sick one night and I pretty much ate bread and pasta....not the place to go for food, but apparently that is what Cuba is known for. So if you want a nice resort and beautiful beach, the price is right. Bring along a few familiar snacks for the kids...this was helpful!! :) Also, the bus ride from the airport was about 1 hour and 45 minutes...yikes! Makes for a super long travel day! The pool was beautiful..but VERY cold! Too cold for me!! We brought towels, as we read that on a review before we left, but honestly that wasn't a problem at all.

S'amuser à Starfish

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour à Starfish, le complexe était agréable et nous avons trouvé que le terrain était bien entretenu et permettait une belle promenade chaque matin. Le personnel était très sympathique et nous avons adoré la plage ! Notre seul reproche est que notre agent de voyage a demandé un berceau pour notre bébé, que nous n'avons reçu que le troisième jour.

Fun Time At Starfish We enjoyed our stay at Starfish, the resort was nice and we thought the grounds were well maintained and made for a beautiful walk each morning. The staff were very friendly, and we loved the beach! Our one complaint would be that our travel agent requested a crib for our baby, which we only received on our 3rd day.

Plage magnifique et belle station balnéaire

La plage est absolument incroyable et c'est l'un des meilleurs endroits ! La chambre était propre et spacieuse. Le complexe est immense et le personnel est absolument merveilleux. Le seul problème est que la réception n'était pas aussi attentive et ne répondait pas au téléphone tout le temps. L'océan est d'un bleu limpide, je n'ai jamais vu d'eau aussi claire. Un jour, j'ai fait du snorkeling pendant environ 6 heures ! La nourriture était assez décente pour Cuba. En tout et pour tout, j'ai passé [... lire plus] un séjour merveilleux !!! :)

Amazing beach and beautiful resort The beach is absolutely amazing and one of the best parts! The room was clean and spacious. The resort is huge and the staff is absolutely wondeful. The only issue is that the front desk wasn't as attentive and didnt answer the phone all the time. The ocean is clear blue, ive never seen water that clear. one day snorkled for about 6 hours! The food was decent enough for Cuba. All and all I had a wonderful stay!! :)

Belle plage

Plage magnifique. La station est juste en train de se mettre en place, donc quelques problèmes, mais rien que je ne pouvais pas vivre avec. Les piscines sont magnifiques. Les gens étaient amicaux et heureux d'aider. J'ai passé deux semaines formidables.

Beautiful Beach Gorgeous beach. Resort is just getting up and going so few issues but nothing I could not live with. Pools where lovely. The people where friendly and where happy to assists. Had an awesome tow weeks.

Excellente expérience

Notre expérience au Starfish Resort a été meilleure que ce à quoi nous nous attendions. Nous sommes allés à Cuba plusieurs fois auparavant et cette expérience a été de loin la meilleure. Le personnel est très amical et serviable (traitez-les comme vous aimeriez être traité - des gens formidables), le terrain est bien entretenu, la nourriture est très bonne et il y a beaucoup de choix, et la plage est à tomber par terre. La piscine était très propre et bien entretenue. Nous avons beaucoup appréci [... lire plus]é les divers divertissements (en particulier le groupe de rock and roll) Notre séjour a été très relaxant et agréable. Juste quelques petites choses à régler - une carte affichée des boissons dans les bars faciliterait la tâche des nouveaux venus (c'est-à-dire les boissons mélangées courantes, mais aussi les favoris locaux recommandés) et aussi le problème des serviettes de plage, qui, nous l'avons compris, n'était pas la faute de l'hôtel, mais de la société de nettoyage extérieure. Nous avons voyagé en République dominicaine, aux Bahamas, en Jamaïque et en Floride et, comme je l'ai déjà dit, plusieurs fois à Cuba, mais les vacances de cette année se sont classées parmi les meilleures. Dans les évaluations ci-dessus, je n'ai enregistré qu'un 4, ce resort était plus proche d'un 4,5. J'espère que les nouveaux propriétaires canadiens maintiendront et peaufineront ce centre de villégiature pour qu'il atteigne son plein potentiel, car je sais que je garderai un œil sur les offres de l'année prochaine avec l'espoir d'y retourner. Great experience Our experience at the Starfish Resort was better than we expected. We have been to Cuba several times before and this was by far the best. The staff is very friendly and helpful(Treat them as you would like to be treated - great people), the grounds well kept, the food was very good and lots of selections, and the beach was to die for. The pool area was very clean and well maintained. Really enjoyed the diverse entertainment(especially the rock and roll band) Our stay was very relaxing and enjoyable. Just a couple of minor things to take care of - a posted menu of drinks at the bars would make it easier for new comers(ie. the common mixed drinks, but also recommended local favorites) and also the beach towel issue, which we understand was not the resorts fault but the outside cleaning company. We have traveled to the Dominican, Bahamas, Jamaica, and Florida and as I said before, several times to Cuba, but this years vacation ranked with the best. In the ratings above I only registered a 4, this resort was closer to a 4.5. I hope the new Canadian owners maintain and fine tune this resort to it's full potential, because I know I will keep a watch on next years deals with a hope to return. Good Luck

Les mots ne pourront jamais expliquer ou couvrir le temps extraordinaire que nous avons passé à Starfish. Ce centre de villégiature s'est surpassé en matière de service à la clientèle pour nous faire passer un séjour cinq étoiles exquis. Tout était impeccable et parfait. La nourriture était incroyable. Amazing Time. Beyond my wildest expectations Words can never explain or cover the amazing time we had at Starfish. This resort went beyond the beyond in customer service to see that we had an exquisite five star stay. Everything was immaculate and perfect. The food was unbelievable. First class buffet. Excellent choices. Never able to try everything in the week we were there. The beach was to die for. The pool too. Poolside entertainment very tasteful. Had to say I feel like I stayed in paradise in the lap of luxury for a week. Would definately return and bring friends

Agréablement surpris

Nous avons réservé à la dernière minute et avons consulté les commentaires sur ..... Le centre de villégiature avait reçu de très mauvaises critiques pendant les vacances. Nous avons appelé notre agent pour lui faire part de notre inquiétude concernant certains commentaires et on nous a dit que le complexe avait été acheté par une nouvelle société et qu'il était en transition, mais que nous devions essayer et qu'il suffisait de les appeler si nous avions des problèmes......nous avons passé de tr [... lire plus]ès bonnes vacances. La plus grande préoccupation était le manque de serviettes de plage et de chambre. Les divertissements, la plage, la piscine et le complexe en général étaient formidables. Nous reviendrons !

Pleasently Surprised We booked at the last minute and then checked the reviews....the resort had some pretty bad reviews over the holidays. Called our agent and expressed our concern over some of the comments and was told the resort had been purchased by a new company and where in transition, but we should go and give it a try and that they were just a call away if we had issues......we had a great holiday. The biggest concern was the lack of beach and room towels. The entertainment, beach, pool and resort in general were great. We will be back !!

Merveilleux centre de villégiature

Cayo Santa Maria possède une plage magnifique. Bien qu'il faille environ 90 minutes en bus et qu'il soit un peu éloigné, l'expérience en vaut vraiment la peine. Si vous voyagez de jour, c'est une expérience touristique gratuite ! Nous avons séjourné au Starfish. C'est vraiment un beau complexe, le terrain est magnifique, le personnel est très amical, j'ai été à Cuba de nombreuses fois et le personnel est de loin le plus amical. La nourriture était supérieure à la moyenne. Les spectacles nocturne [... lire plus]s étaient très bons, il faut absolument voir les spectacles de Michael Jackson et de Grease, mais tous étaient bons. La chambre était bien, il n'y avait pas d'eau chaude un jour, mais ce n'était pas grave. Il y a un petit marché, à seulement 5 minutes de marche, entre les bâtiments 2 et 3. Vous pouvez également faire un tour gratuit en voiturette de golf, mais il est préférable de laisser un pourboire au chauffeur. Le café au bar du hall est assez bon, le service est bon. Je recommanderais ce complexe et j'y retournerais. La raison pour laquelle j'ai évalué l'emplacement comme moyen est seulement parce qu'il est un peu éloigné et qu'il faut environ 90 minutes pour s'y rendre.

Wonderful Resort Cayo Santa Maria has an amazing beach. Although it takes approx 90 minutes by bus and is a bit remote, it is definitely worth the experience. Free sight seeing experience if you travel by day! We stayed at the Starfish. It is truly a beautiful resort, the grounds are lovely, the staff are very friendly, been to Cuba many times and by far the staff are the most friendly. The food was above average. The night shows were very good, the must see is the Michael Jackson and Grease shows, but all were good. The room was good, no hot water one day, but still no big deal. There is a small market, only a 5 minute walk away, take the walk between buildings 2 and 3. Or you can take a free ride on a golf cart at no charge, but nice to leave a tip for the driver. The coffee in the lobby bar is pretty good, the service is good. I would recommend this resort and would return. The reason I rated the location as average is only because it is a bit remote and it takes approx 90 minutes to get there.

J'ai été à Cuba au moins 10 fois et le Starfish Resort ne nous a pas déçus. Le terrain était propre et bien entretenu, tout comme les chambres. La nourriture était merveilleuse et très variée. Je n'ai jamais eu à manger deux fois la même chose, mais je n'ai pas pu résister au riz frit qu'ils ont préparé pour nous sur un grill, ou aux crêpes au chocolat et à la banane ! Et la soirée homard était incroyable. Les restaurants spécialisés étaient tout aussi bons. Les boissons étaient excellentes et l [... lire plus]es divertissements étaient incomparables. Il se passait toujours quelque chose, et nous ne voulions jamais manquer les spectacles de nuit. Ils étaient spectaculaires ! La piscine était géniale et dois-je parler des magnifiques plages de sable blanc ??? Merci à Sunwing pour son vol à partir de Windsor (Ontario), ce qui nous a permis d'avoir un voyage pratique et abordable, et merci à Tripcentral d'avoir facilité les réservations !

Amazing resort! I have been to Cuba at least 10 times and the Starfish resort did not disappoint us. The grounds were clean and well kept, as well as the rooms. The food was wonderful, with a wide variety. I never had to eat the same thing twice, however I couldn't resist the fried rice they made up fresh for us at a grill, or the chocolate bananna crepes!! And the lobster night was amazing. The specialiy restraunts were just as good. Drinks were great and the entertainment was second to none. Always something going on, and we never wanted to miss the night shows. They were spectacular!! Pool was great and do I have to tell anyone about the beautiful powder white sand beaches??? Thankyou Sunwing for flying out of Windsor Ontario, which made it so convenient and affordable for us, and thankyou Tripcentral for making it so easy to book!!
