Catalonia Royal La Romana: 2 semaines au paradis !

Un très bel hôtel avec un excellent service, de superbes restaurants et une plage fantastique sans aucune sargasse ! Quelques mots sur Covid. Beaucoup d'employés d'hôtels portent leur masque sous le nez ou sur le menton, comme beaucoup de touristes européens. Ils vous donnent un gant en plastique pour les buffets des restaurants, mais il peut y avoir beaucoup de monde dans la zone de service. Nous étions tous les deux entièrement vaccinés, donc cela ne nous a pas trop dérangés. Les tabl [... lire plus]es des restaurants à la carte sont bien séparées, ce qui est agréable. Vous avez accès à l'hôtel jumeau, le Grand Dominicus, mais cela ne vaut pas la peine d'y aller, le service y est mauvais et la nourriture bien moins savoureuse.

2 weeks in paradise! A very nice hotel with great service, superb restaurants a fantastic beach with no Sargasso at all! A few words on Covid. Many hotel employees wear their masks below their nose or on their chin, same thing with many European tourists. They give you a plastic glove for the buffets restaurants but it can get crowded around in serving area. We were both fully vaccinated so it did not bother us that much. The tables in the "a la carte" restaurants are well separated which was nice. You have access to the sister hotel the Grand Dominicus but it's not worth going, the service there is bad and the food is far less tasty.

Les chambres PLUS étaient excellentes. les restaurants/la nourriture étaient excellents. le personnel était très amical et serviable. le complexe était très calme avec des musiciens solistes jouant après le dîner jusqu'en début de soirée. la plage n'était pas la meilleure que j'ai connue, mais très bonne. Pas de vendeurs pour vous harceler à la plage. La plage est loin des chambres, mais il y a des voiturettes de golf pour vous y emmener si vous le souhaitez.

great vacation PLUS rooms were excellent. restaurants/food was great. staff were very friendly and helpful. resort was very quiet with solo musicians playing after supper into early evening. beach was not the best I've been to but very good. No vendors to hound you at the beach. MINUS. beach is a far walk away from rooms but there are golf carts to take you if you wish. beach is slanted and hard to go for a long walk.

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Un lieu de villégiature extraordinaire - à recommander vivement !

Nous avons séjourné ici du 7 au 14 mars 2020. C'est notre 2ème fois dans la région de La Romana mais la 1ère fois dans ce resort. Nous avons été surclassés dans une suite de 2 chambres, ce qui était très agréable. Le terrain, les piscines et la plage étaient tous très propres et bien entretenus. Il y avait beaucoup de personnel, tous très sympathiques, pas besoin d'attendre pour quoi que ce soit. Nous n'avons eu aucun problème avec la nourriture, elle était très fraîche et il y avait beauco [... lire plus]up de choix. J'aime l'idée qu'il n'est pas nécessaire de réserver les restaurants à la carte et que vous êtes assis par le personnel dans tous les restaurants (même les buffets). Dans l'ensemble, c'est un excellent complexe hôtelier !

Amazing Resort - Highly recommend! We stayed here from March 7-14, 2020. This is our 2nd time to La Romana area but 1st to this resort. We were upgraded to a 2-room suite, which was very nice. The grounds, pools, beach were all very clean and well kept. There was many staff, which are all very friendly, no need to wait for anything. We had no issues with the food, it was very fresh & lots to choose from. Love the idea that there is no need to book a la carte restaurants and you are seated by staff for all restaurants (even buffets). Overall, a great resort!

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Belle station balnéaire

Les chambres sont assez grandes et d'une propreté irréprochable. Les draps étaient blancs et impeccables et changés tous les jours, même si nous n'avions pas vraiment envie qu'ils le soient. Le terrain était impeccable et avec les lumières et les arbres, il ressemble à une carte postale ! Très beau et très propre. Le personnel est amusant et amical et très efficace. Les activités de la piscine étaient amusantes et variées et le personnel d'animation a travaillé très dur pour nous divertir. Le bu [... lire plus]ffet et les restaurants offraient un grand choix de plats, même s'il était difficile d'obtenir une place au restaurant Himitsu pour le Tepanyaki. Le restaurant de plage La Trattoria est resté ouvert très tard et a servi des pizzas à 2 heures du matin lorsque nous avons quitté la discothèque.

Beautiful resort The rooms are pretty big and spotless clean. The sheets were crisp and white and changed every day even if we didn’t really them to be. The grounds were immaculate and with the lights and trees, it looks like a postcard! Very beautiful and very clean. The staff are fun and friendly and very efficient. The pool activities were fun and varied and the entertainment staff worked really hard to entertain us. The buffet and restaurants had a great selection of food although the Himitsu restaurant was difficult to get a seat for the Tepanyaki. The beach restaurant La Trattoria stayed open really late and served pizza at 2 am when we left the Disco.

Le Grand Bahia Bouganville La Romano est l'un des plus beaux et des plus propres complexes hôteliers que nous ayons visités. Le terrain était propre et impeccablement entretenu. Le service de la femme de chambre était merveilleux. Notre chambre était propre et belle. Notre lit était retourné et rangé après le dîner. Le personnel chargé des activités était amusant et amical, veillant toujours à ce que vous participiez à la vie de l'établissement. Beautiful resort The Grand Bahia Bouganville La Romano was one of the cleanest, most beautiful resort we have been to. The grounds were clean and immaculately groomed. Our service by the maid was wonderful. Our room was clean and lovely. Our bed was turned down and tidied after dinner. The activity staff was fun and friends always making sure you were involved. Great resort for a relaxing vacation.

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Très belle station.

Nous sommes de grands fans des complexes Am, où nous avons séjourné : Dreams palm Dreams Punta Cana et Now Larimar. Nous avons donc pensé essayer le Dominicus. Le complexe était très agréable et propre, mais son agencement était différent. Tous les restaurants se trouvaient à l'arrière du complexe, près de la plage et de la piscine principale, ce qui était bien, mais il n'y avait pas vraiment d'endroit pour se détendre et prendre un verre avant le dîner. Les restaurants à la carte étaient très b [... lire plus]ons et le petit déjeuner était correct mais les déjeuners n'étaient pas très bons. Des hamburgers mal cuits et beaucoup de poisson et de riz. La plage était très escarpée et difficile à parcourir, mais l'océan était magnifique. Nous avons passé la plupart de notre temps à la piscine principale et les serveurs de la piscine étaient formidables. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons passé de bonnes vacances, mais nous ne reviendrons probablement pas.

Beautiful resort. We are big fans of the Am resorts we have stayed at Dreams palm Dreams Punta Cana and the Now Larimar. So we thought we would give the Dominicus a try. The resort was very nice and clean but had a different layout. All the restaurants were at the back of the resort near the beach and main pool which was fine but really no where to relax and have a drink before dinner. The a la carte restaurants were very good and breakfast was ok but the lunches were not very good. Under cooked burgers and a lot of fish and rice. Beach was very steep and hard to walk but the ocean was gorgeous. We spent most of our time at the main pool and the pool servers there were great. Overall we had a nice vacation but probably won’t return.

Iberostar Selection Hacienda Dominicus: Le paradis des Caraïbes !

Ce complexe Iberostar a été exceptionnel à tous points de vue pendant nos vacances du 19 au 4/20 février. Les installations étaient formidables, très propres et bien entretenues, le personnel était fantastique et très amical et la nourriture était abondante, variée et excellente. Bravo Iberostar !

Caribbean Paradise! This Iberostar resort was outstanding in every way during our Feb19-Mar4/20 vacation. The facility was terrific, very clean and well maintained, staff were all fantastic and very friendly and the food was plentiful, diverse and excellent. Well done Iberostar!!

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Excellente station à La Romana

Le terrain et les chambres de l'hôtel sont incroyables. Il est extrêmement propre. Le Don Pablo et les restaurants italiens sont très bons. La plage est belle mais l'eau n'est pas aussi claire qu'à Punta Cana car il y a une rivière à proximité qui se jette dans la baie. Si vous prenez une chaise près du Beach Club, plus près de l'océan, l'eau est plus claire.

Excellent resort in La Romana The hotel ground and rooms are amazing. It is extremelly clean. The Don Pablo and the Italian restaurants are very good. The beach is nice and the water not as clear as Punta Cana as there is a river close by ending in the bay. If you take a chair near the Beach Club, closer to the ocean,the water is clearer.

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Un succès et un échec - Je ne le recommanderais pas

Nous avons séjourné 7 jours à Dreams La Romana avec 3 adultes et 2 enfants. Nous avons voyagé plusieurs fois à Dreams Tulum, au Mexique, et nous nous attendions à une expérience similaire, mais nous avons malheureusement été déçus. La nourriture était au mieux un 3 étoiles. Les enfants étaient contents mais pour les adultes, ce n'était pas comparable à Dreams Tulum. Et ce, tant pour le buffet que pour les restaurants à la carte. Très décevant Le service était très variable. Certains membre [... lire plus]s du personnel étaient agréables tandis que d'autres étaient carrément impolis et inamicaux. Les chambres étaient également très variables. Nous avons dû changer l'une de nos deux chambres car l'odeur des eaux usées était insupportable. Il y a des signes évidents d'usure et de détérioration qui mériteraient d'être mis à jour. Encore une fois, le ménage n'a pas été régulier. La plage était très fréquentée et, comme dans la plupart des complexes hôteliers, il vaut mieux se lever tôt pour trouver une chaise. Le sable était doux, mais il y avait une forte dénivellation une fois dans l'eau. Certains jours, les vagues étaient si fortes qu'elles faisaient tomber des adultes. Le complexe devrait surveiller de plus près l'état de l'eau. Nous sommes restés à la piscine la plupart du temps. Dans l'ensemble, nous donnons à cet hôtel une note de 3,5 étoiles et nous ne le recommanderons PAS à nos amis ou à notre famille.

Hit and Miss- Wouldn't Recommend We travelled to Dreams La Romana for 7 days with 3 adults and 2 children. We have travelled to Dreams Tulum, Mexico multiple times and were expecting a similar experience but sadly we were disappointed. The food was a 3 star at best. The children were happy but for the adults, it was not comparable to Dreams Tulum. This was both for the buffet and a la carte restaurants. Very disappointing Service was a definite hit and miss. Some staff members were pleasant while others were straight up rude and unfriendly. Rooms were also a hit and miss. We needed to change one of our two rooms because the smell of sewage was outrageous. There is definite signs of wear and tear that could use updating. Again, housekeeping was not consistent. The beach was quite busy and as with most resorts, best to wake up early to snag a chair. The sand was soft but quite a drop off once you get in the water. Many days the waves were so strong that they knocked grown adults off their feet. The resort should monitor water conditions more closely. We stayed at the pool for the most part. Overall, we would rate this hotel at a 3.5 star and would NOT recommend this to any friends or family.

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Un site extraordinaire, très propre

Très belle plage, très propre, personnel très poli et courtois, bon service, la nourriture était excellente, 4 à la carte et 1 sous forme de buffet. Les animations nocturnes étaient très agréables et nous les avons beaucoup appréciées.

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Bilan honnête et informations importantes

TERRAINS : Fantastique. Les fleurs sont entretenues quotidiennement. Vous ne portez pas de bracelet. Serviettes illimitées partout où vous regardez. Superbe aménagement avec 3 piscines. Une piscine tranquille pour lire. Une piscine pour les enfants. Et une piscine plus grande pour les événements / près de la plage / bar de natation. Il y a une grande zone de plage et une autre zone de plage à l'est pour plus d'intimité et d'espace. Les parasols et l'ombre sont attendus comme dans tous les autres [... lire plus] centres de villégiature ; l'oiseau précoce obtient le ver. Il s'agit d'un grand complexe, mais pas trop grand comme ceux du Mexique, avec un plan simple et de beaux terrains à parcourir tous les jours. La marche n'a jamais fait de mal à personne (il y a des voiturettes de golf qui circulent si vous en avez besoin). Il y a tellement d'endroits magnifiques pour se mettre à l'ombre ou au soleil tout au long de la journée qu'il n'est pas difficile de trouver le bon endroit. Promenez-vous. La mer est chaude et plus calme que l'Atlantique à Punta Cana et Puerto Plata. La sécurité est présente tout au long de la plage pour vous protéger et les vendeurs locaux passent mais ne vous importunent pas à cause de la sécurité. Santiago était également très doué pour prendre des photos au coucher du soleil. La SEULE chose à savoir est que la plage s'incline décemment vers l'eau ici et tout au long de l'étendue de la plage, même pour tous les autres complexes hôteliers. C'est juste la composition géologique, les marées et je suis sûr que le changement climatique. Ne vous attendez pas à une plage sans fin, avec de l'eau jusqu'à la cheville, à perte de vue. Lorsque vous entrez dans l'eau, il n'y a que du sable. Quelques rochers épars mais de l'eau jusqu'à la taille, ce qui est aussi la température parfaite. La plage est nettoyée tous les soirs. ALIMENTATION : Le Coco Cafe Coffee Shop est l'endroit où nous commençons notre journée avec un bon americano, des sièges dans le patio et des vues sur le jardin. Au buffet principal, il y a beaucoup d'options et de la nourriture solide. Il se peut qu'il n'y ait pas toujours ce que vous recherchez chaque jour, mais il y a beaucoup d'options. Les conservateurs sont bien lavés, pas de problèmes d'estomac. Pléthore de fruits et de desserts. Il y a une tonne de bonnes options. ATTENTION Comme dans tous les pays tropicaux, méfiez-vous de la viande. Demandez une viande bien cuite et un peu plus de temps de grillade. Il n'y a pas de mal à demander et ils le font aussi. Le service de Domingo au buffet principal est le meilleur. Il est toujours enthousiaste et prompt à aider. Le restaurant principal et tous les restaurants de réservation sont situés à côté l'un de l'autre, dans un endroit pratique. Christian et Yerkys sont très gentils et vous aident à réserver et à apprendre l'espagnol. George et Jorge sont des gars sympas et aussi des sommeliers qui vous offrent une grande variété d'expertise et d'options de vins du monde entier à des prix standards de 2,5x le marché des restaurants (ils peuvent facturer facilement à la chambre aussi). Le service au restaurant est bon, mais il faut comprendre que les employés se tuent à la tâche tous les jours de 8h à 12h, alors soyez compréhensifs. Vous avez le Seaside Grill qui est mignon, l'expérience Tappanyaki est amusante comme prévu. Vous pouvez également vous rendre au restaurant asiatique ou vous asseoir pour déguster des sushis à volonté au bar à sushis avec Johni (excellent avec le couteau). À l'étage se trouvent les restaurants français et italien ainsi que la cave à vin. Le restaurant français est très chic, il faut porter un pantalon et des chaussures. Le restaurant italien est celui qui propose la meilleure cuisine et dispose d'une belle terrasse. ACTIVITÉS/DIVERTISSEMENTS : Nous avons joué au tennis tous les jours sur le toit du 3ème étage du bâtiment préféré de l'autre côté de la rue (prenez le tunnel facile qui passe sous la route et vous y amène). Il y a également un terrain de basket. Notre ami Jimmy nous aidait toujours à réserver un terrain et nous fournissait les serviettes dont nous avions besoin. Le terrain est solide, pas parfait mais il est situé sur un toit plat, il n'y a donc pas beaucoup de fissures et de dégâts. Il est intéressant de noter qu'il est peint en vert. La salle de musculation et de remise en forme donne sur la plage et sur la partie principale du complexe. Elle dispose de tout ce dont vous avez besoin, y compris d'une aire de saut à la corde et de cordes de combat. Le spa est situé sous la salle de sport, nous n'y sommes jamais allés mais il avait l'air bien. Il y a également une section pour enfants et une boîte de nuit au sous-sol. L'équipe d'animation a beaucoup d'énergie et maintient le volley-ball, le yoga, la Zumba, la danse, l'aérobic, etc. toute la journée, quel que soit le temps. Le soir, il y a des spectacles de danse, des spectacles de feu, des films, etc. Nous étions là pour la Saint-Valentin et la cérémonie des Oscars et ils ont organisé des événements nocturnes très sympas pour les deux, qui étaient très amusants. Ils maintiennent même les spectacles en cours s'il y a une averse passagère. Un grand engagement ! Ils proposent des cours de plongée gratuits, des voiliers gratuits, de la planche à voile, du trampoline aquatique, etc. En outre EXCURSIONS : 1) parc national à l'est - nous avons marché le long de la route principale vers l'est et avons visité le parc national. Il s'agit d'une promenade de 20 minutes avec un petit trottoir depuis l'hôtel, puis vous prenez un chemin de terre jusqu'à la zone touristique. L'entrée coûte 5 USD. Ensuite, vous suivez un long chemin qui vous emmène soit à travers la nature sauvage jusqu'à une grotte sympa, soit vous tournez à droite dans la fourche de la zone champêtre et vous allez sur une petite plage privée. Portez de bonnes chaussures car la marche est difficile et aller aux deux endroits + la marche vers et depuis l'hôtel nous a pris environ 3h et 13km. Soyez vigilants. 2) Visite de l'île de Saona - nous avons réservé avec air transat car ils nous ont donné une réduction de 15$. Le prix était de 105 USD pour nous deux. C'est ce à quoi vous vous attendez Le tour consiste à emmener un groupe de touristes sur un catamaran/bateau rapide jusqu'à l'île de Saona (1,5 heure de trajet). L'open bar, c'est de l'alcool fort et de la chasse à volonté. La musique est bonne. L'île est vraiment cool et belle. On y passe quelques heures. Repas inclus. Ensuite, on se rend dans une zone peu profonde pour se baigner et voir des étoiles de mer avant de revenir à l'hôtel. Apportez des serviettes et de la crème solaire. Soyez conscient que les guides touristiques demanderont à prendre des photos et marchanderont pour que vous achetiez les photos via une clé USB/un téléchargement direct. Ne payez pas plus de 50 $, ils vous raconteront des histoires et essaieront de vous soutirer le plus d'argent possible. Restez ferme sur le prix et passez à autre chose. Les photos sont agréables, pas géniales, mais c'est un bon souvenir à avoir. Ne vous faites pas arnaquer pour elles.

Honest Review and Important Infor GROUNDS: Fantastic. Flowers are maintained daily. You don’t wear wristbands. Unlimited towels everywhere you look. Great layout with 3 pools. A quiet pool for reading. A pool for kids. And a bigger pool for events/by the beach/swim up bar. There is a large beach area and another beach area to the East for more privacy/room. Umbrellas and shade are expected like at every other resort; Early bird gets the worm. It’s a big resort but not overly large like ones in Mexico and a straight forward layout with beautiful grounds to walk daily. Walking never hurt anybody (they do have golf carts zipping around if you need it tho) There are so many beautiful places to catch shade and sun throughout the day it’s not hard to find the right spot. Take a walk. The Sea is warm and calmer than the Atlantic at Punta Cana and Puerto Plata. Security is all along the beach to keep you safe and local vendors come by but do not bug you because of the security. Santiago was also great at taking photos during sunset. The ONLY thing to be aware is that the beach slopes decently to the water here and along the entire stretch of the beach even for all the other resorts. It’s just the geological make up, tides and I’m sure climate change. Don’t expect endless beach along ankle high water for as long as the eye can see. When you step into the water it’s all sand. Few scattered rocks but waist high water which is the perfect temperature too. The beach area is groomed nightly as well. FOOD: The Coco Cafe Coffee Shop is where we start our day usually with a nice americano, patio seating, and garden views. At the main buffet there are lots of food options and solid food. May not always have exactly what you are looking for each and everyday day but there are plenty of options. Preservatives are washed well no stomach issues. Plethora of fruits and desserts. There are a ton of good options. BE AWARE Like at every tropical location be weary of the meat. Just ask for well done and a little more grill time. No harm in asking and they get it too. Service from Domingo at the main Buffet is the best. He is always enthusiastic and quick to assist. The main restaurant and all the reservation ones are beside each other conveniently located. Christian and Yerkys are very kind and helpful in booking you a reservation and teaching you some Spanish. George and Jorge are fun guys and also sommeliers that give you a wide variety of expertise and wine options from around the world at standard 2.5x restaurant market Prices (can bill easily to the room too). Restaurant service is good, understand the workers are busting their ass 8am-12pm everyday so be understanding. You have the Seaside grill which is cute, Tappanyaki experience is fun as expected. Also can do the Asian restaurant or sit down for all you can eat sushi at the Sushi bar with Johni (great with the knife). Upstairs are the French and Italian restaurants and the wine cellar. French is classy with pants and shoes needed. Italian we think was the best food and has a nice outdoor seating area. ACTIVITIES/ENTERTAINMENT: We played Tennis daily on the 3rd floor roof at the preferred building across the street (take the easy tunnel that goes under the road and gets you there). There is a basketball court there too. Our buddy Jimmy always helped us book a court and provide much needed towels. The Court is solid, not perfect but it is on flat roof so not a lot of cracks and damage. Interestingly painted green. The weight/fitness room overlooks the beach and the main section of the resort. It has everything you need including a tire flip area and battle ropes. The spa is located under the gym, we never attended but it looked good. There is a kids section and nightclub in the basement as well. The entertainment team has a lot of energy and keep the volleyball, yoga, Zumba, dancing, aerobics, etc going all day regardless of the weather. At night there are dance shows, fire shows, movies etc. We were there for Valentine’s Day and the oscars and they set up really nice nightly events for both that were a lot of fun. They even keep the shows going on if there is a passing rain shower. Great commitment! They offer free scuba classes, free sailboats, wind surfing, water trampoline etc. As well EXCURSIONS: 1) national park to the East- we walked along the main road to the east and visited the national park. It’s a 20min walk with a small sidewalk from the resort. then you take a dirt road to the tourist area. It’s $5 USD to get in. Then you follow a long path that either takes you through the wilderness to a cool cave or you turn right in the fielded area fork and go to a private little beach. Wear nice shoes as the walk is tough and going to both locations there + the walk to and from the hotel took us about 3hrs and 13km. Be aware. 2) Saona Island Tour- we booked with air transat as they gave us a 15$ discount. It was $105 USD for both of us. It’s what you expect In a tour, take a bunch of tourists on a catamaran/speed boat to the saona island (1.5hr trip). Open bar is unlimited hard alcohol and chase. Music is good. Island is really cool and beautiful. You spend a few hours there. Meal included. Then go to a shallow area for a bath and see some starfish before coming back to the hotel. Bring towels and sunscreen. BE AWARE that the tour guides will ask to take photos and bargain for you to buy the photos via a memory stick/direct upload. Don’t pay more than 50$ for them, they will tell you stories and try to weasel as much money from you. Stay firm with a price and move on. Photos are nice, not great, but good memory to have. Just don’t get scammed for them.

Dès notre arrivée, le personnel a été le plus aimable et le plus heureux que nous ayons eu le plaisir de rencontrer. Le complexe est impeccable, la nourriture délicieuse, les boissons superbes. Nous reviendrons sans aucun doute.

Absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, the staff were the friendliest and happiest that we have had the pleasure to deal with. The resort is immaculate, the food delicisious, the drinks superb. We will definitely return.

Sunscape Dominicus La Romana: hôtel si si

Besoin d'une mise à jour ...et l'air conditionné ne fonctionnait pas totalement ....changé de chambre 4 fois les 2 premiers jours . Beaucoup de marche tout espacé . sur une note positive beaucoup de faune oiseaux , tortues , paons et terrains bien entretenus . Plage beaucoup de rochers et de crêtes rocheuses dans l'eau 15 pieds de distance que vous devez manœuvrer pour atteindre l'eau profonde .

hotel so so Needs updating ...and air conditioning not totally working ....switched rooms 4 times first 2 days . Lot of walking everything spaced out . on positive note lots of wildlife birds ,turtles, turkeys,peacocks and grounds well maintained. Catalonia Royal La Romana: Un centre de villégiature extraordinaire !

Nous sommes allés dans pas mal de stations balnéaires et nous avons trouvé que celle-ci était de premier ordre. Les gens étaient amicaux et serviables. Les installations étaient propres et accueillantes. La nourriture était très bonne et les divertissements étaient d'un calibre plus élevé que dans la plupart des centres de villégiature de type familial. La plage était extraordinaire !

Amazing Resort! We’ve been to quite a few resorts and found this one to be top notch. The people were friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and inviting. The food was very good and the entertainment was of a higher caliber than seen at most family type resorts. The beach was amazing!

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Hôtel agréable avec un excellent service

Il s'agissait d'un voyage de dernière minute. Nous n'étions pas allés dans un centre tout compris depuis 5 ans et nous avions besoin de nous éloigner du froid. Ce complexe se trouve à un peu plus d'une heure de route de l'aéroport de Punta Cana. Le terrain est très luxuriant et très bien entretenu. Beaucoup d'arbres sur la plage, donc si vous ne pouvez pas obtenir un parasol sur la plage, les arbres fournissent une ombre agréable. Les chambres sont grandes et propres. Nous avions un b [... lire plus]eau balcon avec des chaises et une table. La climatisation était un peu trop froide (un seul réglage - élevé). La piscine est immense et agréable. Nourriture - Une grande salle à manger pour le petit déjeuner, le déjeuner et le dîner. Je ne suis pas fan des buffets, mais c'était correct. Bon choix pour le petit déjeuner et le dîner. Nous déjeunions généralement au restaurant Los Olas sur la plage. Un autre buffet mais plus petit. J'ai trouvé que c'était toujours la même nourriture. Peu de variété. Nous avons essayé le restaurant italien et le restaurant Pescatore (le Gourmet était plein toute la semaine). Pour nous, le restaurant italien était le meilleur. La plage n'a pas de sable blanc comme à Punta Cana, mais elle est toujours magnifique. Toujours une petite vague et pas de mauvaises herbes. S'il y avait des mauvaises herbes, elles étaient nettoyées immédiatement car le personnel travaille sur la plage toute la matinée. Boissons - 4 bars et un bon service. Nous avons trouvé que les boissons contenant de l'alcool étaient diluées. Le service dans la salle à manger est très bon. Chaque fois que nous sommes entrés dans la salle à manger, nous n'avons eu aucun problème pour trouver une table et nous n'avons jamais attendu pour le café le matin ou l'eau et le vin au dîner. Le service est constant tous les jours. Bon service au comptoir du hall également. Nous avons eu un problème avec notre chambre à notre arrivée et on s'en est occupé très rapidement. L'autre chose, c'est qu'en tant que Canadiens, vous recevrez un appel dans votre chambre pour vous dire qu'ils ont un cadeau pour vous. Il s'agit de time share. Il s'agit d'une conversation typique et ils vous donneront un crédit pour la boutique de cadeaux. Nous n'y sommes pas allés. C'est un petit complexe agréable. Idéal pour les couples ou les familles qui veulent un endroit calme pour se reposer et se détendre.

Nice hotel with great service This was a last minute trip. We had not been to an all inclusive in 5 years and we needed to get away from the cold. This resort is a little over 1 hour drive from Punta Cana airport. Very lush grounds, very well maintained. A lot of trees on the beach so if you cannot get a parasol on the beach, trees provide nice shade. Rooms are large and clean. We had a nice balcony with chairs and table. Air conditionning was a bit too cool (one setting only - high). Pool is huge and nice. Food - A large dining room or bfast, lunch and supper. I am not a fan of buffets, it was ok. Good selection for bfast and supper. We usually had our lunch at the beach Los Olas restaurant. Another buffet but smaller. I found it was always the same food. Not much variety. We tried the Italian and Pescatore restaurant (the Gourmet was full all week). For us the Italian was the best. The beach does not have white sand like in Punta Cana however it is still beautiful. Aways a small wave and no weeds. If there were weeds, they were cleaned right away as they have staff working the beach all morning. Drinks - 4 bars and service is good. We found the drinks with liquor were watered down. The service in the dining room is very good. Every time we entered the dining room we had no problems finding a table and we never waited for coffee in the morning or water and wine at supper. Consistently every day. Good service at the lobby counter also. We had an issue with our room when we arrived and it was taken care of very quickly. The other thing is be aware as Canadians, you will get a call in your room to say they have a gift for you. Its all about time share. Typical talk and then they will give you a credit for the gift shop. We did not go. This is a nice small resort. Great for couples or families who want a quiet place to rest and relax.

Catalonia Royal La Romana: C'était vraiment extraordinaire

L'hôtel était très bien, l'aménagement paysager très beau, l'endroit très agréable en général. Des gens merveilleux. Je ne peux pas me plaindre de l'hébergement. Les chambres sont spacieuses, élégantes, propres, suffisamment d'espace pour tout et pour tout le monde. J'ai changé de chambre après les deux premières nuits (surclassement). Les deux étaient différentes mais magnifiques. Les gens - Je voudrais dire un grand merci à ma première femme de ménage, Dariane. C'est une jeune fille extraordi [... lire plus]naire, belle, très amicale, serviable, rapide et efficace. Elle m'a manqué après mon déménagement. Rosa, ma nouvelle femme de ménage, merci beaucoup aussi. Nourriture - très bonne et totalement différente de mon expérience antérieure dans les centres de villégiature de l'IA. Un petit buffet pour le petit déjeuner et 3 fois pour le dîner, sinon à la carte. Le buffet était très bon. Je ne peux pas parler de l'autre restaurant, je n'y suis pas allé. J'ai adoré mon déjeuner au snack bar - le meilleur menu à choisir pour un déjeuner léger et les gens étaient formidables. Cela faisait partie d'un bar humide et les gens qui s'y trouvaient étaient si amicaux, heureux et pleins d'une attitude si positive. Surtout Marcos, merci beaucoup. Je ne peux pas remercier tout le monde. Ces gens - tous - travaillent très dur - serveurs, cuisiniers, paysagistes....etc. Merci beaucoup, vous avez joué un rôle très important dans mes vacances extraordinaires. Je remercie tout particulièrement PRISCILLA. Vous, madame, avec vos connaissances, votre sens de l'organisation, votre attitude positive, votre gentillesse....vous pouvez facilement diriger ce centre de villégiature. Je n'ai aucun doute à ce sujet. Vous êtes une belle personne, à l'intérieur comme à l'extérieur. Encore une fois, merci beaucoup à tout le monde à Catalonia Royal La Romana. It was really amazing rezort Hotel was very nice, landscaping really beautiful, very pleasant place in general. Wonderful people. I cannot complain about accommodation. Rooms are spacious, elegant, clean, enough space for everything and everybody. I changed the room after the first 2 nights ( upgrading). Both of them were different but beautiful. People - I would like to say thanks a million to my first cleaning lady Dariane. Such a amazing young girl, beautiful, very friendly, helpful, fast and efficient. I missed her after I moved. Rosa, my new cleaning lady, thank you very much, as well. Food - very good and totally different from my prior experience in AI resorts. One small buffet for breakfast and 3 times for dinner, otherwise a la carte. Buffet was very good. I cannot tell about the other restaurant, I didn't go. I loved my lunch at snack bar - the best menu to choose from for light lunch and people were amazing. It was part of a wet bar and those guys there were so friendly, happy and full of such a positive attitude. Especially Marcos, thank you very much. I cannot thank everybody. These people - all of them, are working very hard - waiters, cooks, landscapers....etc. Thank you very much, you are very important part of my amazing holiday. My special thank to PRISCILLA. You, lady, with your knowledge, organization skills, positive attitude, friendliness....you can easily run this resort. I have no doubts. You are beautiful person, inside and out. Viva Dominicus Palace by Wyndham: Combattez le marasme hivernal - Profitez d'un peu d'été dans votre hiver ! Destination : Viva Wyndham Dominicus Palace -La Romana.

Le complexe est situé à Bayahibe, La Romana, à 30 minutes en bus de l'aéroport international de La Romana. Après plusieurs années, je suis retourné dans ce merveilleux complexe et j'ai été impressionné par le hall d'entrée entièrement redessiné. À ma grande surprise, au bar du hall, j'ai eu le plaisir de rencontrer un vieil ami, Raul, le barman. Personne ne peut oublier son sourire amical et sa devise "Special" ! Dans ce complexe tout compris, l'atmosphère offre un niveau d'intimité qui plaît  [... lire plus]particulièrement aux couples d'adultes. Cependant, les familles avec enfants sont également les bienvenues et on s'occupe bien d'elles ! Nous avions une chambre supérieure avec vue sur le jardin, très propre, avec un lit de bonne taille. Les chambres sont entretenues quotidiennement par l'équipe de nettoyage. Une connexion Wi-Fi gratuite est disponible dans tout l'établissement. Le choix de nourriture pour le petit-déjeuner, le déjeuner et le dîner est bon, et il est également possible de réserver un restaurant. Nous mangeons principalement au Rest. La Yuca (buffet) qui propose un bon assortiment à notre goût. Ma "dent sucrée" a été ravie par la sélection de sucreries disponibles, en particulier la crème glacée faite maison. Le terrain est bien entretenu et tout est vert - immaculé ! Le personnel de ce centre de villégiature a une attitude professionnelle agréable et veille à ce que vous passiez un bon moment. Le moment le plus important de nos vacances a été l'accès à la plage de sable blanc immaculée, la vue sur l'océan et les eaux brillantes de la mer des Caraïbes, puis la baignade. La vie ne peut pas être plus belle ! Chaque soir, au bar du hall, il y a de la musique en direct, et nous avons dansé quelques fois. Il y a aussi des spectacles quotidiens donnés par l'équipe artistique. Nous avons préféré les promenades nocturnes de "Dominicus Place" au centre commercial, une promenade de 15 minutes. On ne s'ennuie pas dans ce complexe ! Il y a beaucoup d'activités disponibles, y compris des sports nautiques, des programmes de remise en forme, etc. Nous avons apprécié les exercices matinaux sur le site de la piscine menés par une équipe dynamique. La musique sélectionnée qui accompagnait les exercices était géniale. De plus, nous avons apprécié toute la sélection de musique dominicaine qui était diffusée quotidiennement à la piscine ! Le personnel du bar de la plage est formidable. En plus des boissons, des snacks et des déjeuners légers sont également disponibles. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons passé un excellent moment. Merci à "Viva Wydham Dominicus Place" pour ces 12 jours de vacances inoubliables. C'est "Au Revoir, pas Goodbye". Beat the Winter Blahs - Enjoy a little summer in your winter! Destination: Viva Wyndham Dominicus Palace -La Romana. The resort is situated in Bayahibe, La Romana just 30 minutes buss drive from La Romana International Airport. After several years, I returned to this wonderful resort and I was impressed of the entirely redesigned lobby. To my surprise, at the lobby bar I was delighted to meet an old friend Raul the barman. No one can forget his friendly smile and his moto “Especial”! In this all-inclusive resort, the atmosphere provides a level of privacy that appeals especially to adult couples. However, families with children are also welcome and are well taken care off! We had a “Garden View, Superior Room” very clean, good size bed. The rooms are maintained daily by the cleaning crew.. Complimentary Wi-Fi connection is available all around the resort. The food selection for breakfast lunch and supper is good, with restaurant reservation available as well. We eat mostly at Rest. La Yuca (buffet) which had a good assortment to our liking. My “sweet tooth” was delighted with the selection of sweets available, especially the home-made ice cream. The grounds are well maintained, and all is green - immaculate! The staff at this resort are having a pleasant professional attitude, making sure that you are having a great time. The most important time of our vacation was the accessibility to the immaculate white-sand beach, the ocean views looking out over the brilliant waters of the Caribbean Sea, and then enjoying a swim. Life can not be better! Each evening at the lobby bar, has live music, and of couple of time we danced to it. There are also daily shows given by the artistic crew. We preferred evening walks from “Dominicus Place” to the shopping center a nice 15 minutes walk. You don’t get bored at this resort! There are lots of activities available, including water sports, fitness programs etc. We have enjoyed the morning exercises at the pool site conducted by a dynamic team. The selected music that accompanied the exercises was great. In addition, we appreciated all the selection of Dominican music that played daily at the pool site! The staff at the beach bar are all great. In addition to drinks, snacks and light lunch is also available. All in all, we had a great time. Thank you “Viva Wydham Dominicus Place” for an unforgettable 12 days of vacation. This is "Au Revoir, not Goodbye”. Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Dream dominick's... à recommander avec une seule réserve

L'hôtel était très agréable, les chambres étaient belles et le ménage était toujours bien fait. Le service dans les restaurants était parfois lent mais toujours amical. La plage était fabuleuse et grâce à la façon dont le complexe gère les chaises de plage et de piscine, il n'est pas nécessaire de se lever à 7 heures du matin pour réserver une chaise. la seule chose qui a été vraiment négative pour moi a été le tabagisme. Il y avait des cendriers partout et les gens pouvaient fumer n'impor [... lire plus]te où (sauf dans la chambre), mais il y avait un cendrier sur le balcon. Dans les bars, la fumée dérivait vers vous et nous avons dû nous déplacer plusieurs fois. S'il est permis de fumer, ce devrait être uniquement dans les zones désignées. Mis à part la fumée, c'est un très bon hôtel

Dream dominick's... would recommend with one reservation The hotel was very nice, rooms were nice and the cleaning was always good. The service in the restaurants was sometimes slow but always friendly. The beach was fabulous and because of the way the resort handles the beach and pool chairs, there isn't that need to get up at 7 AM to reserve a chair. the only thing that was a real negative for me was the smoking. There were ash trays everywhere and people could smoke anywhere ( except in the room)- but there was an ash tray on the balcony. In the bars the smoke would drift towards you and we actually moved several times. If smoking is to be allowed, it should be only in designated areas. Apart from the smoking this is a great resort

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Doux rêves

Nous avons passé 11 jours formidables au Dreams Dominicus. Belle plage, piscines propres, beau terrain. Complexe de taille parfaite. La chambre était spacieuse et confortable. Le personnel était agréable et arrangeant. J'ai adoré les dames du bar du hall d'entrée ! Les seuls points négatifs sont que ce complexe est fumeur ! Et le service du restaurant du soir est très lent.

Sweet Dreams Had a great 11 days at Dreams Dominicus. Beautiful beach, clean pools, nice grounds. Perfect size resort. Room was spacious and comfortable. Staff pleasant and accommodating. Love tbe ladies at the lobby bar ! Only negatives were that this is smoking resort ! And evening restaurant service is very slow.
