Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Nice Resort

Nous avons apprécié de nous évader et le complexe était magnifiquement aménagé. Notre chambre était agréable et il y avait un chariot pour nous conduire à la plage et au hall d'entrée. Malheureusement, nous avons constaté qu'une grande partie du personnel ne parlait pas ou ne comprenait pas très bien l'anglais. J'étais malade et je voulais voir un médecin et il m'a fallu cinq personnes différentes pour trouver le cabinet du médecin. Soit ils ne me comprenaient pas, soit ils ne savaient pas [... lire plus] où se trouvait le cabinet du médecin. Je suggérerais que le personnel soit plus familier avec certains des environs. Je ne suis pas une personne qui aime les buffets et il m'est donc difficile de faire des commentaires sur la nourriture. La plupart du temps, le service était bon au buffet. Une nuit en particulier, nous avons été placés dans une "chambre élargie" et il n'y avait qu'une seule personne qui essayait de s'occuper des personnes envoyées dans cette chambre. Il a essayé de servir de l'eau, de prendre les commandes de boissons, de vider la vaisselle sale et de changer les nappes tout seul pendant un bon moment. Finalement, deux autres membres du personnel l'ont rejoint. Je lui ai dit que je trouvais qu'il faisait un travail formidable dans ces circonstances. L'autre chose que je voudrais mentionner, ce sont les chaises autour des piscines et de la plage. Il n'y en avait vraiment pas assez. Il fallait être descendu pour obtenir une chaise avant 8 heures du matin, sinon on n'avait pas de chance. Il est indiqué que vous n'êtes pas censé réserver des chaises, mais je peux comprendre pourquoi les gens l'ont fait.

We did enjoy getting away and the resort was landscaped beautifully. Our room was nice and there was a trolley to drive us back and forth to the beach and the lobby. Unfortunately we found that a lot of the staff did not speak or understand English very well. I was ill and wanted to see a doctor and it took five different people that I spoke to in regards to finding the dr's office. Either they did not understand me or they did not know where the dr's office was. I would suggest that the staff be more familiarized with some of the surroundings. I am not a good buffet person for eating so it is hard for me to comment too much on the food. Most of the time service was good in the buffet. One particular night though we were put in an "extended room" and there only person trying to looking after the people being sent to that room. He was trying to serve water, take drink orders, empty dirty dishes and change tablecloths by himself for quite awhile. Eventually a couple of other staff members joined him. I commented to him that I thought he was doing a terrific job under the circumstances. The other thing I would mention is the chairs around the pools and beach. There definitely not enought of them. You had to be down to get a chair by 8:00am or you were out of luck. It says that you are not suppose to reserve chairs but I can understand why people did.

Tout était très bien, sauf les chariots à la carte. Le seul qui était vraiment bon était le Mediterranean. Le service était un peu lent lorsqu'on recevait le café et les boissons aux buffets et aux chariots à la carte. A part cela, les gens étaient formidables et le séjour a été agréable dans l'ensemble.

Fun resort for adults Everything was great except for the a la carts. The only one that was really good was the Mediterranean. Service was a little slow when receiving coffee and drinks at the buffets and a la carts. Other than that the people were great and a fun stay over all.

Ce complexe est divisé en deux zones ? Notre chambre était à la limite de ces deux zones... avec un garde de sécurité à l'entrée... donc non seulement ils vous harcelaient si vous mettiez un pied à droite plutôt qu'à gauche, mais ils tenaient aussi leurs conversations matinales en groupes de quatre ou cinq devant notre porte, ce qui n'est pas juste... notre couloir n'a pas été nettoyé à l'aspirateur une seule fois en 10 jours

Don’t waste your money This resort is divided into two areas ..? Grand and luxury ... if you are luxury you can roam anywhere.. otherwise be prepared to be asked to move on.. our room was on the edge of these two areas.. with a security guard at the entrance .. so not only did they harass you if you stepped foot to the right instead of to the left they also held their morning conversations in groups of four or five outside our door not fair ... our hallway was not vacuumed once in 10 days

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Deuxième séjour et toujours aussi agréable

Je ne comprends pas comment certaines personnes peuvent se plaindre de cet endroit. C'était la deuxième fois que j'y allais et tout était parfait. Le service était exceptionnel. La nourriture était incroyable, il y avait toujours quelque chose de différent chaque soir au buffet. Le personnel était très sympathique et se mettait en quatre pour vous faire plaisir. L'eau n'est pas d'une couleur sarcelle cristalline, mais je suis plutôt un adepte de la piscine. Si vous pouvez prendre l'avion pour l [... lire plus]'aéroport de La Romana, vous économiserez les 90 minutes de transfert au lieu de 20 minutes. Pour ceux qui trouvent des défauts au Bouganville, vous devriez peut-être rester chez vous.

Second time there and still wonderful Not sure how some people can complain about this place. This was my second time there and everything was great. Service was outstanding. Food was amazing, always had something different each night in the buffet. The staff were all very friendly and went out of their way to please you. The water is not the crystal clear teal colour, but I am more a pool guy anyway. If you can fly into La Romana airport and save the 90 minutes transfer time versus 20 minutes. For those people who can find faults with the Bouganville maybe you should just stay home.

Les points forts de ce voyage sont l'excellente nourriture, la belle plage et le bon service ! Je ne mange pas de gluten ni de produits laitiers et je suis allergique aux cacahuètes, mais j'ai trouvé que je pouvais manger une grande variété de plats délicieux !

Will be back again! A few great things to note about the trip were excellent food, beautiful beach, and good service! I don't eat gluten or dairy and am allergic to peanuts, but found that I was able to eat a wide variety of delicious food!

Nous étions accompagnés de mon fils, de sa femme, de sa fille de 3 ans et de son fils de 6 mois. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons bénéficié d'un excellent service ! Le complexe était très propre. Le personnel était merveilleux. Grand choix de nourriture pour tous les appétits ! Notre petite fille a passé une heure par jour au club pour enfants et a beaucoup apprécié ! Nous vivions sur la plage de l'océan ! Le restaurant de la plage était parfait pour le déjeuner ! J'ai adoré le poulet à la grecque [... lire plus] ! Le seul reproche que l'on pourrait faire, ce sont les autres clients qui gardent leurs chaises au bord de la piscine et qui n'y restent pas pendant des heures. Cela doit être surveillé d'une manière ou d'une autre. Nous reviendrons !

We were travelling with my son, his wife, 3year old daughter and 6 month old son. From the moment we arrived we had great service! The resort was very clean. Staff were wonderful. Great selection of food for all appetites! Our granddaughter spent an hour daily in kids club and enjoyed it! We lived at the ocean beach! Beach restaurant was great for lunch! Loved the jerk chicken! Only complaint would be the other guests who would save their chairs by pool and not be at them for hours. This some how has to be monitored. We will return!

L'hôtel était bien mais les lits sont très durs et il y a beaucoup de marche et vous devez réserver vos restaurants dès que vous arrivez ou il n'y en aura pas de disponibles (mais quand vous allez aux charrettes à la carte, elles sont moins de la moitié pleines, alors je ne sais pas pourquoi ils font en sorte qu'il soit si difficile de les réserver). Il y a 2 heures de trajet entre l'aéroport et le resort, et la plage est pleine d'algues

Great Vacation Hotel was good but the beds are are very hard and there is a lot of walking and you need to book your restaurants as soon as you get there or there won’t be any available (but when you go to the a la carts they are less than half full so not sure why they make it so hard to book them). It is a 2 hour ride to the resort from the airport the beach is full of seaweed

Amazing resort The rooms and grounds are clean and well kept, the food is some of the best I have had and the people can’t get any friendlier, beaches are amazing and weather was hot, lots of security all over resort is a bonus !

La chambre et la salle de bains sont très anciennes et ont besoin d'être rénovées. Impossible de se baigner à la plage car l'eau est juste au niveau de la taille. - un grand merci à Esther Fitz à la réception. Personnel très sympathique, toujours souriant et travaillant dur. Terrain très bien entretenu Ce n'est certainement pas un hôtel de luxe ni un hôtel cinq étoiles.

Not a ‘LUXURY’ hotel The room/bathroom very dated, in need of major updating. Unable to swim at the beach as the water is just at waist level. - many thanks to Esther Fitz at the front desk. Very nice staff, always smiling and working hard. Grounds very well kept This is definitely not a “Luxury” nor a “five stars” hotel.

Spacieux, avec beaucoup d'espace pour se promener et trouver un coin tranquille ou une activité. Bonne plage mais rocheuse par endroits. Superbe plongée avec masque et tuba juste à côté. Très bonne nourriture et très variée. Commencez la journée en faisant de l'exercice ou du yoga à 7h30 avec Owen Ellis. Il’s fantastique et très ancré pour mettre un spin positif sur la journée. C'est un excellent moment de détente.

Great vacation Spacious with lots of place to walk around and find a quiet spot or an activity. Good beach but rocky in places. Great snorkeling right there. Very good food and lots of variety. Start the day with 7:30 exercise or yoga with Owen Ellis. He’s fantastic and very grounded to put a positive spin on the day. Great and relaxing time there.

C'était magnifique, le terrain était bien entretenu, la piscine était superbe. Le personnel était toujours en train de faire quelque chose pour que les gens s'impliquent. Les restaurants étaient tous excellents, à l'exception du restaurant brésilien. Nous avons lu d'autres critiques et nous étions inquiets de ne pouvoir manger que dans quelques restaurants, mais nous avons pu manger dans tous les restaurants. Ils ont tout fait pour répondre à nos besoins. Ils étaient prêts à changer de rése [... lire plus]rvation à chaque fois que nous le demandions si c'était possible. Et s'ils ne pouvaient pas changer la réservation lorsque nous le demandions, ils nous donnaient une heure pour revenir et voir si nous pouvions faire des points une fois que le système était mis à jour. Nous avons été très satisfaits. Et oui, le complexe est ENORME, ce qui peut entraîner beaucoup de marche, mais si vous ne voulez pas marcher, vous pouvez demander à presque n'importe qui de vous conduire ou d'attendre un "train" qui monte et descend régulièrement les trois routes. Les halls sont très calmes la nuit, mais si vous voulez un peu de vie nocturne, le village dispose d'une discothèque, d'un casino et d'un karaoké qui vous divertiront jusqu'à 2 heures du matin si vous le souhaitez, puis d'un bar sur la plage jusqu'à 4 heures du matin si vous voulez vraiment continuer... lol Le bar des sports était correct, mais nous n'y étions pas souvent et ne pouvons donc pas vraiment parler de ce qu'il était. Nous avons pris beaucoup de vacances et nous devons dire que c'est la meilleure nourriture que nous ayons eue dans un resort jusqu'à présent. Nous ne manquerons pas de parler de cet endroit à notre entourage et nous y reviendrons ! Oh et je ne suis pas un adepte de la plage, je suis plutôt un adepte de la piscine, mais la plage était magnifique !

Great resort! It was Beautiful, well maintained grounds, pool was amazing. The staff was always doing something to get people involved. The restaurants were all amazing except for the Brazilian steak house. We read other reviews and we were worried we'd only be able to eat at a couple of the restaurants but we were allowed to eat at all the different restaurants. They did everything to accommodate our needs. They were willing to switch reservations anytime we asked if it was available. And if they couldn't switch the reservation when we asked, they would give us a time to come back to see if we could stitch once the system was updated. We were very pleased. And yes the resort was HUGE which could make for a lot of walking but if you didn't wanna walk you could ask almost anyone to drive you or wait for a "train" which went up and down all 3 roads regularly. The lobby areas would get very quiet at night but if you wanted some night life the village had the disco, casino and karaoke bar which would keep you entertained till 2am if you wanted and then head to the beach bar till 4am if you really wanted to keep going..lol The sports bar was ok, we weren't there often so can't really speak on how that really was. We have been on many vacations and have to say this is the best food we've had in any resort so far. We will be telling people about this place for sure and we will be returning! Oh and I'm not a beach person, I'm a pool person but the beach was beautiful!

Nos 2 semaines de vacances au Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana ont été extraordinaires. La meilleure plage des Caraïbes ! Le GBP est un magnifique complexe hôtelier, avec une cuisine délicieuse et des gens merveilleux. C'est la quatrième fois que nous séjournons au GBP et nous reviendrons sans aucun doute !

Wonderful Vacation! Our 2 week vacation at the Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana was amazing. Best beach in the Caribbean! The GBP is a beautiful resort, with delicious food and wonderful people. Our 4th time at a GBP resort and we will definitely be back again!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Les algues sur les plages : un problème majeur

Le centre de villégiature et le personnel ont été très serviables pour tous les besoins ou questions. Le personnel de service dans les buffets était très bon, rapide et efficace. Les restaurants spécialisés étaient excellents. L'une des principales raisons pour lesquelles nous nous rendons dans les complexes hôteliers du Mexique et d'autres régions des Caraïbes est de profiter de la plage et de l'océan. En raison des quantités importantes d'algues qui s'accumulent quotidiennement sur la plage, [... lire plus] nous n'avons pas pu profiter de la plage ou de l'océan. Bien que les travailleurs aient fait de leur mieux, ils n'ont pas pu venir à bout de ce problème. Si ce problème n'est pas résolu, nous ne reviendrons pas. Nous ne pouvons pas recommander cet hôtel à nos amis à cause du problème des algues.

Seaweed on beach a major problem The resort and the staff were very helpful with all needs or questions. Serving staff in the buffets were very good/quick and efficient. Specialty restaurants were great. One of the main reasons we go to the resorts in Mexico and other areas in the Caribbean is to enjoy the beach and the ocean. Due to the significant amounts of the seaweed which accumulated on the beach daily we were not able to enjoy the beach or the ocean. Although the workers tried their best they could not get ahead of it. If this problem is not resolved we will not return. We can not recommend this resort to friends due to the seaweed issue.

Je reviens de Sian Ka'an. L'ambiance y est relaxante si vous cherchez à vous détendre. La piscine du Sushi Bar diffuse de la musique méditative et de magnifiques bains à remous ensoleillés pour se détendre. La nourriture de ce complexe est excellente ! Elle est très variée et savoureuse à chaque repas. Si vous recherchez un peu plus d'animation, vous trouverez des spectacles à Akumal Resort, à quelques minutes en tramway le soir, ainsi que de bons magasins de souvenirs à l'Hacienda La plage [... lire plus] est bien entretenue dans ce complexe et les poissons nagent à vos côtés dans l'eau claire ! Le personnel est sympathique et arrangeant et la sécurité nous a permis de nous sentir en sécurité. Notre chambre était un peu vieillotte et sentait un peu le renfermé, mais elle était propre et bien entretenue. Les restaurants à la carte que nous avons essayés étaient bons et nous recommandons particulièrement le Dolce Vita pour une excellente cuisine italienne - essayez le plateau d'entrées à partager - il est énorme et délicieux.

A Relaxing Week Just returned from Sian Ka'an. It has a relaxing vibe if you are looking to unwind. The pool at Sushi Bar has meditative music playing and beautiful sunny whirlpools to de-stress in. The food at this resort is excellent! Lots of variety and flavourful at every meal. If you are looking for a little more excitement, there is lively entertainment just a trolley ride away at Akumal resort in the evening and also good souveneir shopping at 'Hacienda.' The beach is well maintained at this resort and fish swim alongside you in the clear water! Staff is friendly and accommodating and security made us feel safe. Our room was a little dated and smelled a little musty but was clean and well maintained otherwise. The a la carte restaurants we tried were good and we especially recommend Dolce Vita for excellent Italian food--try the appetizer sharing platter--it is huge and delicious.

Ce complexe est de loin le meilleur 5 étoiles dans lequel mon mari et moi avons séjourné au Mexique. Le service était de premier ordre, la variété et la présentation de la nourriture étaient incroyables et l'ensemble du complexe était très propre. Les chambres étaient très modernes et, dans l'ensemble, il y avait beaucoup d'options de divertissement à choisir tout au long de la journée et de la soirée. Nous avons rencontré un certain nombre de couples qui revenaient, non pas pour la deuxième [... lire plus] fois, mais pour plus de cinq fois. Nous reviendrons très bientôt dans ce complexe. C'est un bijou !!!

Resort is 5++ This resort was by far the best 5 star my husband and I have stayed at in Mexico. The service was top notch, food variety and presentation was amazing and the entire resort was so clean. The rooms were very modern and overall, many entertainment options to choose from throughout the day and evenings. We met a number of couples that were returning, not their second time but 5+ times. We will be back to this resort very soon. It’s a gem!!!

Le luxueux Bahia Principe Akumal a répondu à toutes nos attentes. Le terrain impeccable, le service extraordinaire, les belles piscines et le lagon calme de l'océan ont contribué à une semaine merveilleusement reposante. Le complexe est immense, mais un chariot régulier nous a permis de nous rendre rapidement à tous les endroits. Nous avons réservé plusieurs restaurants le premier jour et avons vraiment apprécié les restaurants brésilien et de fruits de mer. Le problème des algues existe, mais l [... lire plus]e personnel travaille très dur et les nettoie tous les matins. Nous reviendrons certainement dans ce complexe et nous envisagerons d'y passer 10 jours la prochaine fois !

Dream Vacation The Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal met our every expectation. The impeccable grounds, the amazing service, the lovely pools and the calm ocean lagoon all contributed to a wonderfully restful week. The resort is massive but a regular trolley enabled us to get to every location quickly. We booked several restaurants the first day and really enjoyed the Brazilian and Seafood restaurants. The seaweed problem does exist but the staff work extremely hard and have it all cleaned up each morning. We would certainly return to this resort and would look into 10 days next time!
