Great Resort Large clean resort. Staff very friendly and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Lots of choices for dining from buffets to a la Cartes with a huge selection of different foods. Shuttles will take you anywhere on the resort.

Magnifique terrain, très propre, personnel formidable. Si vous cherchez un petit complexe, c'est l'endroit idéal. Les vues sont incroyables et les chambres sont magnifiques. C'est l'une des stations les plus propres que nous ayons jamais visitées. Le personnel est très accueillant et les animations en soirée étaient superbes. Il n'y a que 3 restaurants à la carte, mais la salle à manger principale a un thème différent chaque soir. Contrairement à la plupart des complexes hôteliers,  [... lire plus]il n'a pas été difficile de trouver une chaise longue sur la terrasse de la piscine ou sur la plage. Il était cependant un peu plus difficile d'obtenir un gazebo, il fallait être matinal. Oui, comme nous étions quelque part, il ne se passait pas grand-chose après 22 heures, mais après toute la journée dans la chaleur et l'air frais, nous étions prêts à nous écraser. Beaucoup d'escaliers, mais cela ne nous a pas dérangés du tout. Cela permet de rester en forme. Il y a des ascenseurs à utiliser si on le souhaite. Nous avons apprécié le fait que si vous aviez oublié quelque chose dans votre chambre, il ne fallait pas 20 minutes pour y retourner. Petit complexe très agréable.

Wonderful Resort Beautiful grounds, very clean, wonderful staff If your looking for a smaller resort this is your place. The views are amazing and rooms are beautiful. This is one of cleanest resorts we have ever visited. The staff is very encaging and evening entertainment was was great. Only 3 la carte restaurants, but the main dinning room have a different theme nights each evening. Unlike most resorts it wasn’t a problem to find a lounge chair either around the pool deck or beach. It was however a little more challenging to get a gazebo, had to be the early bird there. Yes as we were awhere no much happening beyond 10 pm but after all day in the heat and fresh air we were ready to crash. Lots of stairs but we didn’t mind those at all. Keeps one in shape. There are elevators to use if so inclined. Liked the fact that if you forgot something in your room it didn’t take 20 minutes to go back. Very nice small resort.

Le Bahia Principe Esmerelda est une petite partie du Bahia Principe Resort qui regroupe 7 complexes en 1. Le terrain est magnifique. Les chambres sont un peu vieillottes mais propres. La plage est magnifique. Les buffets sont plus petits que dans les autres complexes où je suis allé. Les cartes à la carte étaient difficiles à obtenir à une heure décente ou à y entrer. Les machines à capucino devraient être disponibles 24 heures sur 24, c'est juste une suggestion. Huge Resort Bahia Principe Esmerelda is a small part of the Bahia Principe Resort which is 7 resorts in 1. The grounds are beautiful. Rooms are a little dated but clean. Beach is amazing. Buffets are smaller than other resorts I've been to. A la cartes were hard to get a decent time or get into them. Capucino machines should be 24 hrs just a suggestion. All in all we were going for sun and beach and we did get it and it was awesome.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Le prix en vaut la peine.

Les chambres commencent à dater un peu. Le buffet de la plage pourrait être amélioré. Très fréquenté, il n'y a pas assez de places assises. Il faut aller à la plage et à la piscine tôt le matin pour obtenir des chaises. Dans l'ensemble, le personnel a été très serviable et amical. Le séjour en valait la peine. La nourriture et les boissons étaient bonnes. Les spectacles étaient bons.

Worth the price. The rooms are becoming a little dated. The beach buffet could be improved. Very busy and not enough seating. Need to hit the beach and pool early morning to obtain chairs. Overall, the staff were very helpful, friendly. Well worth the stay. Food and drinks were good. Shows were good.

Tout était génial, le service était superbe, les gens étaient amicaux et attentifs, surtout le matin pendant le petit déjeuner, toujours une recharge de café. L'excursion était incroyable, nous sommes allés à la Selvatica, que mon fils et moi sont des amateurs de sensations fortes, et c'était un endroit pour être si vousâ €™ ne sont pas peur des hauteurs, si vous êtes c'est l'endroit pour conquérir votre peur. Best Resort I’ve been yet Everything was great, the service was superb, the people were friendly and attentive, especially in the morning during breakfast always a coffee refill. The trip excursion was amazing, we went to the Selvatica, which my Son and I are thrill seekers, and it was a place to be if you’re not afraid of heights, if you are this is the place to conquer your fear. The beach was ok, but 5 min walk to either side of the beach got better, so I will recommend anyone that wants to go to Maya Riviera. Grand Bahia Principe Tulum.

J'ai passé un excellent séjour dans ce centre de villégiature. Les chambres étaient propres et confortables. Le terrain était impeccablement entretenu. Le personnel était gentil, arrangeant et avait un grand sens de l'humour. C'est une grande station, donc si vous cherchez quelque chose de plus boutique, ce n'est pas l'endroit pour vous. Mais nous avons apprécié de prendre le tramway pour nous déplacer et nous avons rencontré beaucoup de voyageurs amusants. J'y retournerais sans hésiter. Un bon  [... lire plus]rapport qualité-prix !

I had a wonderful time at this resort. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The grounds were impeccably kept. Staff was kind, accommodating and had a great sense of humour. It’s a large resort, so if you’re looking for something more boutique it’s not the place for you. But we enjoyed riding the tram to get around and met lots of fun travelers. I would definitely go back. Bang for your buck!

Ce complexe est immense - beaucoup de superbes piscines et plages. Superbe parc aquatique pour les enfants. J'ai passé un excellent moment et je recommanderais ce complexe pour un voyage en famille. Mon fils a eu une infection de l'oreille pendant que nous étions là et ils ont un médecin 24 heures sur 24 sur le site qui était très bien informé et amical.

Great family resort! This resort is huge - lots of great pools and beach areas. Great kids water park. Had a great time and would recommend this resort for a family trip. My son got an ear infection while we were there and they have a 24 hour doctor on site that was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Si vous cherchez un petit complexe réservé aux adultes, c'est l'endroit qu'il vous faut ........ Il y a toujours beaucoup de personnel pour s'occuper de vous et ils sont très sympathiques. Pour un petit complexe, il y a beaucoup de choix de nourriture. Nous avons hâte d'y retourner dans un avenir proche.

Wonderful Resort If you are looking for an Adult Only, small resort then this is the place for you.......there is always lots of staff to look after you and they are very friendly. For a small resort there are plenty of food choices. We look forward to returning sometime in the near future.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Un vaste complexe hôtelier... Beaucoup de choix..

Station très impressionnante et bien entretenue. Il couvre une grande superficie, mais grâce au système de transport sur place, vous pouvez vous rendre là où vous le souhaitez assez rapidement. Nous avions demandé à être dans la partie sud de la section Tulum, mais pour une raison quelconque, nous avons été placés dans la partie nord. Nous voulions la partie sud parce que la piscine était plus calme, mais au lieu de cela, nous nous sommes retrouvés près de la piscine bruyante du restaurant Teq [... lire plus]uila. La chambre était bien, mais la piscine était très bruyante pendant la journée. Le bar de cette piscine ne savait pas comment faire une margarita avec des glaçons. Étrange. Les plages étaient belles mais les algues sont devenues un problème. Heureusement, c'est juste sur le bord du rivage et le sable et les palapas sont magnifiques pour se détendre sur la plage. Nous n'avons pas eu à nous plaindre de la nourriture, car il y avait tellement de choix qu'il y avait toujours une grande sélection d'aliments. L'entretien ménager était excellent et nous revenions toujours dans notre chambre en la trouvant propre et prête pour un nouveau sommeil confortable. C'était notre troisième séjour au Grand Bahia Principe et nous y reviendrons certainement.

Expansive resort...Lots of choices Very impressive and well kept resort. Covers a lot of area but with the onsite transportation system you can get where you need to go fairly quickly. We had asked to be on the south part of the Tulum section, but for some reason we got put in the North area. We wanted the south because of the quieter pool area, but instead we were close to the loud pool by the Tequila Restaurant. The room was fine but the pool was very LOUD during the day. The bar at that pool did not know how to make a margarita on the rocks. Strange. The beaches were nice but the seaweed has become an issue. Luckily it is just on the shore edge and the sand/palapa area are beautiful for relaxing on the beach. No complaints about food, as there were so many choices that there was always a great selection of foods. The housekeeping was great and we always came back to our room finding it neat, clean and ready for another comfortable sleep. This was our 3rd stay at Grand Bahia Principe and will definitely return.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Belle et étonnante.

Cette station est très propre, le personnel de la réception n'est pas toujours très serviable serviables. La nourriture était bonne, le plateau vide sur la table du buffet a mis du temps à être remplacé, les restaurants étaient bons mais pas le restaurant italien que je ne recommanderai pas. J'ai eu un problème pour organiser un dîner à la carte pour l'anniversaire de mon mari, le manager Raul s'est démené pour s'assurer que nous obtenions ce dont nous avions besoin. Beautiful and amazing . This resort is very clean, front desk staff not all were helpful . Food was good,empty tray on buffet table took along time to be replace,restaurants were good but not the Italian one will not recommend . Had a problem to arrange La carte dinner for my husband's birthday manager Raul went out of his way making sure we got what we needed. Overall good resort.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Centre de villégiature satisfaisant

La plage était magnifique, on peut marcher pendant des kilomètres. L'emplacement est agréable parce qu'il n'est pas trop commercialisé. Le seul centre de villégiature dans la région que j'étais au courant. Quelques préoccupations que nous n'avons pas Ã? l'égard de .... Lorsque nous sommes arrivés, ils ont mis nos enfants dans un bâtiment séparé de nous, même si nous avons demandé que nos chambres soient proches. Seulement 2 piscines et trop de jeunes enfants (bruyants et éclaboussants). Pas de  [... lire plus]bar de nage. Parfois très lent pour obtenir une boisson. Le réfrigérateur et la cafetière dans la chambre étaient cassés et n'ont pas été réparés. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons passé un bon moment.

Satisfactory Resort Beach was beautiful, can walk for miles. Nice location because it was not too commercialized. The only resort in the area that I was aware of. Few concerns that we didn’t care for.... When we arrived they put our kids in a separate building from us even though we requested our rooms to be close. Only 2 pools and too many young kids (noisy and splashing). No swim up bar. Sometimes very slow to get a drink. Fridge and coffee maker in room broken and did not get fixed. Overall though we had a good time.

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour au Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana. La nourriture est bonne 4,5 sur 5 étoiles. L'alcool 3,5/5 *, cela dépend du bar que vous buvez. La plage est vraiment bien 4.5/5. Il y a quelques points négatifs. Tout d'abord, il n'y a pas de WI FI dans la chambre.... C'est triste ! Vraiment triste. 4.un hôtel 5* et il faut payer pour le WI FI ? Deuxièmement, certains membres du personnel ne sont pas très amicaux. C'est un peu bizarre pour moi. Mais ce n'est que 5% maximum, do [... lire plus]nc c'est acceptable. En conclusion, ils ont quelques points à améliorer. Bon hôtel, mais un peu trop cher.

Very good! But.... We enjoyed our trip in Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana. Food is good 4.5 of 5 stars. Alcohol 3.5/5 *, it depends on bar you are drinking. The Beach is really good 4.5/5. The are some negative things. First, there is no WI FI in the room.... It's sad guys! Really sad. 4.5* hotel and you have to pay for WI FI? Secondly, some of the staff is not very friendly. It's kinda weird for me. But its only 5% max, so it's acceptable. To conclude, they have some points to improve. Good hotel, but a little bit overpriced.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Une grande amélioration par rapport à l'année dernière

Nous nous rendons à l'Ambar chaque année depuis 10 ans. Cette année, ils ont modernisé cette partie de l'hôtel pour rivaliser avec le marché des hôtels de luxe. Nous avons été très impressionnés par les améliorations et par la nouvelle piscine. Le buffet semblait meilleur que les années précédentes et le service était excellent.

A big improvement from last year We have been going to the Ambar every year for the past 10 years. This year they have upgraded this part of the resort to compete with the luxury resort market. We were very impressed with the upgrades and with the new swim up pool. The buffet food seemed better than previous years and the service was excellent.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Merveilleuse station !

Très bien entretenu, personnel sympathique, hébergement excellent ! Ma seule plainte concerne le Wi-Fi - il n'est pas agréable de devoir le rafraîchir toutes les 24 heures et le mien a expiré à 18 heures la nuit précédant le départ. Le Wi-Fi devrait être disponible tout au long du séjour. Lorsque vous êtes parti, vous ne l'utilisez plus. Nourriture : le buffet est à peu près correct, le menu à la carte est très bon !

Wonderful resort!! Very well cared, nice staff, excelent accommodations!! My only complain is about Wi-Fi - it is not nice to have to refresh it every 24 hours and I had mine expired at 6pm the night before departure. Wi-Fi should be available all the time during the stay. When you are gone, you do not use it anymore. Food: buffet is sort of ok, A la carte - very good!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Absolument incroyable

J'ai été impressionné par ce complexe dès notre arrivée. La nourriture est incroyable. La salle de bain que nous avons réservée en valait vraiment la peine. La plage est incroyable. Je pourrais continuer à parler de la beauté de l'Ambar. Le service et le personnel étaient excellents et je classerais sans hésiter cet hôtel dans la catégorie luxe 5 étoiles.

Absolutely amazing I was impressed with this resort from the minute we arrived. The food is amazing. The swim out room we booked was so worth it. The beach is incredible. I can go on and on about how beautiful it is at Ambar. The service and staff were great and I would definitely rate this hotel a luxury 5 star.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: De superbes vacances

J'ai séjourné dans de nombreux hôtels Grand Bahia et je n'ai pas été aussi impressionné par celui-ci. Bien que le terrain soit magnifique et que les chambres soient très belles, le service au buffet n'était pas très bon. Certains matins, nous nous asseyions littéralement là, prenions tout notre petit-déjeuner sans qu'on nous demande si nous voulions du café. Nous sommes allés là-bas pour fêter les 30 ans d'un ami et trois fois dans la semaine, leur chambre n'a pas été nettoyée et nous avons d [... lire plus]û nous rendre à la réception à trois reprises pour nous plaindre de ces problèmes. Les boissons étaient correctes mais pas extraordinaires.

Great vacation I have stayed at many Grand Bahia hotels and was not as impressed with this one. Although the grounds were beautiful and the rooms were very nice, the service at the buffet was not great. We would literally sit there some mornings, eat our entire breakfast and yet had not been asked if we wanted coffee. We went down there to celebrate our friend's 30 anniversary and three times in the week, their room was not cleaned and we had to go to the front desk on three occasions to complain about issues. The drinks were okay but not the greatest.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Presque un cinq étoiles

Ma femme et moi venons de rentrer d'Ambar - nous avons séjourné du 22 février au 1er mars 2019. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié nos vacances là-bas et n'avons vraiment pas eu de problèmes majeurs qui se sont présentés pendant notre séjour. Chambre - nous avions la chambre 69205 qui faisait face à l'arrière du Royalton à côté... pas beaucoup de vue et nous aurions dû demander une meilleure chambre mais ne l'avons pas fait et ne pouvons donc pas nous plaindre à ce sujet. La chambre était très spac [... lire plus]ieuse et rénovée en novembre. La salle de bain est assez ouverte là où se trouve la douche, donc ne vous attendez pas à saluer quelqu'un si quelqu'un prend une douche, mais ce n'est pas un problème pour un couple. La douche est immense et j'ai adoré la pomme de douche à effet de pluie. Les toilettes sont dans leur propre cabinet d'aisance. La chambre est équipée d'un coffre-fort et le réfrigérateur a été approvisionné tous les jours. Nous avons trouvé le lit dur et avons demandé un sur-matelas. 5 minutes se sont écoulées entre le moment où je l'ai demandé et le moment où la femme de chambre l'a apporté dans notre chambre... c'était rapide. Le surmatelas a aidé un peu. Trop d'interrupteurs dans la chambre, il semble qu'il y ait un interrupteur pour chaque lumière et il y en a beaucoup dans la chambre de sorte que vous devez en essayer plusieurs pour éteindre ou allumer la lumière que vous voulez. Climatisation - la climatisation était un peu pénible... je devais garder le ventilateur à un niveau élevé pour qu'il refroidisse la pièce... sinon la température grimpait. Au milieu de la nuit, le ventilateur de la climatisation se mettait automatiquement en position basse et nous nous réveillions avec une température élevée. Nous gardions donc le ventilateur de plafond en marche....le ventilateur de plafond n'a qu'une seule vitesse - RAPIDE. C'était un autre irritant, de ne pas avoir différentes vitesses disponibles sur le ventilateur de plafond. Nourriture - Nous avons mangé dans 5 des restaurants, Limbo et Mashua Nikkei étant nos préférés. Portofino et MEAT étaient également bons. La nourriture au El Olivo n'était pas très bonne. Le buffet du Palmyra est très bon, nous y avons pris le petit déjeuner tous les matins. Nous avons séjourné dans d'autres complexes hôteliers où il n'est pas nécessaire de réserver et c'est tellement plus facile et simple pour les clients. Personnel - la plupart sont aimables et heureux d'aider, même si certains ne l'étaient pas. La langue est parfois un obstacle si vous ne parlez pas espagnol (ou même français) mais nous nous sommes débrouillés en anglais et en français. Merci à Miguel, à la station d'omelettes, pour son service et son sourire tous les jours ! Le personnel de Palmyra était particulièrement sympathique - Luis, Miguel, Altagracia, Emile et les hôtesses d'accueil aussi ! Maura au buffet de la plage était également sympathique ainsi que Jeffry qui servait des boissons sur la plage. Il y en avait d'autres, mais ce sont les noms que j'ai remarqués. Boissons - les boissons étaient bonnes et nous avons souvent demandé des doubles pour nous aider... pas de Crown Royal donc c'était un peu décevant... nous avons pris des boissons au bar du hall avant le dîner tous les soirs et nous avons apprécié cet endroit. Ils ont des caesars (pas des bloody marys), ce qui était un plaisir et ils étaient assez bons aussi. Plage - La plage est magnifique et semble s'étendre à l'infini. L'Ambar dispose d'une partie de plage très propre, nettoyée quotidiennement par les employés. Les chaises de plage sont nombreuses ainsi que les palapas. Un chariot de crème glacée vient tous les jours près du bar de la plage... une gâterie bien appréciée ! Nous sommes restés sur la plage parce qu'elle est très belle et qu'avec la brise il faisait moins chaud que dans la piscine. Salle de sport - Je me suis entraînée à la salle de sport tous les matins et c'était une très belle salle de sport. Bien qu'elle ne soit pas immense, elle dispose d'une bonne sélection de nouveaux équipements et de poids, de tapis roulants, d'elliptiques et de vélos. Il y a une salle de yoga avec des cours quotidiens. Spa - nous avons profité d'un massage en couple un matin, avec un bain à remous dans notre salle de massage d'abord, puis le massage, qui était excellent. Ensuite, j'ai utilisé le sauna, puis la piscine froide et enfin je me suis détendue sur un lit d'eau. Je n'avais pas utilisé de lit d'eau depuis des années, mais c'était une touche agréable. Il n'y a pas de section séparée pour les hommes ou les femmes dans le spa, à l'exception des vestiaires. L'ensemble du Bahia Principe est immense avec les différents resorts disséminés un peu partout. Les terrains sont magnifiques et bien entretenus, avec de beaux aménagements paysagers et des ouvriers qui nettoient, élaguent, réparent, etc. Si je pouvais donner un 4,5 à l'Ambar, je le ferais mais ce n'est pas possible et il n'est pas tout à fait un 5 pour moi à cause des irritants mentionnés ci-dessus... rien de majeur mais quelques ajustements pourraient être faits. Merci à toute l'équipe d'Ambar pour ces merveilleuses vacances.

Almost a five star My wife and I just got back from Ambar - stayed February 22 to March 1, 2019. We very much enjoyed our vacation there and really had no major issues come up during our stay. Room - we had room 69205 which faced the back of the Royalton next door...not much of a view and we should have asked for a better room but didn't and so can't complain about that. The room was very spacious and renovated in November. The bathroom area is pretty much open where the shower is so don't expect to greet anybody if someone is having a shower...no big deal for a couple. Shower is huge and loved the rain showerhead. Toilet is in it's own water closet. Room has a safe..fridge was stocked daily. We found the bed hard and asked for a topper to be put on the mattress..it took all of about 5 minutes from when I asked for it until the maid brought it to our room...that was fast. The topper helped a bit. Too many light switches in the room, it seems there is a switch for every light and there are a lot throughout the room so you have to try several to shut off or turn on the light you want. A/C - the A/C was a bit of a pain..I had to keep the fan on high for it to cool the room...otherwise the temperature would climb. In the middle of the night, the A/C fan would switch to low automatically and so we would wake up being hot so we kept the ceiling fan on....the ceiling fan has one speed - FAST. That was another irritant, not having different speeds available on the ceiling fan. Food - we ate at 5 of the restaurants with Limbo and Mashua Nikkei being our favorites. Portofino and MEAT were also good. The food at El Olivo was not that good. The buffet at Palmyra is very good, we had breakfast there every morning. One irritant was the obligation to make reservations, not being able to eat where and when we wanted...we have stayed at other resorts where reservations are not required and that is so much easier and simple for the guests. Staff - most are friendly and happy to help although we did have a few that were not. Language is sometimes a barrier if you do not speak Spanish (or even French) but we managed in English and French. Thanks to Miguel at the omelette station for his great service and smile everyday!! The staff at Palmyra were especially friendly - Luis, Miguel, Altagracia, Emile and the greeters too! Maura at the beach buffet was also friendly as well as Jeffry serving drinks on the beach. There were others but those are the names that I noticed. Booze - drinks were good and we often asked for doubles to help things along ...no Crown Royal so that was a bit of a downer...we had drinks at the lobby bar before supper every night and enjoyed that spot. They have caesars (not bloody Marys) which was a treat and they were pretty good too. Beach - the beach here is beautiful and seems to stretch forever. The Ambar has a very clean stretch of beach with workers raking daily. Beach chairs are numerous as well as palapas. Ice cream cart comes in daily close to the beach bar...a cool treat much appreciated!! We stayed at the beach since it's so beautiful and with the breeze was not as hot as the pool area. Gym - I worked out at the gym every morning and it was a pretty nice gym. While it is not huge, it has a good selection of new equipment and weights, treadmills, ellipticals and cycles. There is a yoga room with daily classes. Spa - we enjoyed a couples massage one morning, with a hot tub in our massage room first then the massage which was great. After I used the sauna then the cool pool and finally relaxed on a water bed. Hadn't used a water bed in years but that was a nice touch. No separate men's or women's section in the spa except the change rooms. The whole Bahia Principe is huge with the different resorts spread out throughout. The grounds are beautiful and well kept, great landscaping with workers all over the place cleaning, pruning, fixing, etc. If I could give the Ambar a 4.5 I would but that is not an option and it's not quite a 5 for me for the irritants mentionned above..nothing major but a few tweeks could be done. Thanks to everyone at Ambar for a wonderful vacation.

Tout d'abord, Marnie a été un agent extraordinaire. Elle a été d'une aide précieuse tout au long du processus et sa recommandation de l'hôtel était juste ! Le centre de villégiature était incroyable et représentait tout ce qu'elle avait promis. C'était magnifique, la nourriture et le service étaient extraordinaires. Sans aucun doute cinq étoiles.

Amazing vacation ! To begin Marnie was an amazing agent. She was extremely helpful through the whole process and her recommendation of the resort was right on! The resort was amazing and was everything she promised it would be. It was beautiful with amazing food and service. Definitely five star.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Un lieu de villégiature exceptionnel !

Wow, c'est tout ce que je peux dire. C'était magnifique et très bien situé. Personnel extraordinaire, piscines extraordinaires, plage extraordinaire. Très propre. Chaque fois que nous avons eu un problème (auto-infligé), ils sont venus tout de suite ! Je recommanderais ce complexe à tout le monde ! Superbe pour les familles, les couples ou les groupes d'amis. Il y a des choses à faire pour tous les âges.

Amazing resort ! Wow is all I can really say. It was beautiful with a great location. Staff amazing, pools amazing, beach amazing. Very clean resort. Whenever we had an issue (self inflicted) they came right away! I would recommend this resort to anyone! Amazing for families , couples or group of friends. Things for all ages to do.
