Merveilleux centre de villégiature

Mon mari et moi avons eu le privilège d'aller dans ce centre de villégiature pour notre 25e anniversaire. Les chambres étaient belles et grandes, avec beaucoup d'espace de rangement. Les lits étaient très confortables. L'air conditionné fonctionnait bien. La nourriture était très bonne. Nous sommes allés au barbecue tous les jours à l'heure du déjeuner. Quel plaisir ! Il y avait tellement de choix, du grill au bar à salades en passant par le menu. Tout était vraiment bon. Nous sommes allés au r [... lire plus]estaurant buffet tous les matins pour le petit-déjeuner. La nourriture était très bonne et les choix nombreux. Le buffet à l'heure du dîner était bon et varié. Nous avons mangé au restaurant japonais qui était très agréable. Les personnes qui travaillent dans ce complexe sont très sympathiques et offrent un excellent service. Il n'y a pas de barrière linguistique ici. Il y a un marché juste à côté du complexe qui est agréable à visiter tous les jours. Il change tous les jours. Dans l'ensemble, ce fut un excellent voyage.

Wonderful Resort My husband and I had the privelidge of going to this resort for our 25th anniversary. The rooms were nice and big with lots of storage room. The beds were very comfy. The air conditioning worked well. The food was very good. We are at the bbq grill every day at lunch time. What a treat. There were so many options from the grill to the salad bar and the menu. All of it was really good. We at the the buffet restaurant each morning for breakfast. Very good food and great options. The buffet at dinner time was good with variety. We ate at the Japenese restaurant which was quite enjoyable. The people who work at this resort are very friendly and provide great service. There is no language barrier here. There is a market right next door to the resort which is nice to visit every day. It changes daily. Overall, it was a great trip.

OK resorta

Il a besoin d'une mise à jour,,, je votre famille un bon endroit. Les chambres ont des draps moisis ,,,,le personnel est formidable, le barbecue est bon tous les jours. Bon spa sur place, belle plage ..... très chaude en juillet à éviter, très bonne clinique médicale à proximité

Station balnéaire très impressionnante

L'établissement avait tout ce qu'il fallait pour des vacances reposantes : des divertissements et une cuisine excellents, une plage et des piscines magnifiques, un marché et un spa accessibles à pied, un hébergement de qualité et un personnel aimable et serviable.

Very impressive resort The resort had everything desired for a relaxing vacation- excellent entertainment and food, beautiful beach and pools, market and spa within walking distance, quality accommodations and friendly, helpful staff.

Merveilleux complexe hôtelier plus calme

Il n'est pas aussi grand que certains autres complexes hôteliers de Santa Maria, mais les installations sont merveilleusement propres et le service du personnel est excellent. C'est certainement un endroit où je reviendrai. J'ai voyagé seule et je me suis sentie en sécurité.

Wonderful quieter resort Not as large as some of the other resorts on Santa Maria but the facilities were wonderfully clean and the service of the staff was excellent. It is certainly a place I shall be returning to. I travelled alone and felt really safe.

Nous étions très enthousiastes à l'idée de partir en vacances, mais tout s'est arrêté lorsque nous sommes arrivés dans ce centre de villégiature. Ma famille s'y rendait chaque année depuis plusieurs années et l'adorait. J'avais déjà séjourné à Las Dunas que je recommanderais plutôt que cet endroit. Nous avons été surclassés dans un autre complexe après avoir signalé les chambres délabrées, la salle à manger insalubre et le manque d'entretien général. Il y a beaucoup de frais pour l'alcool qui n' [... lire plus]est pas leur base comme le Corona, d'autres stations incluent ces frais, c'est censé être "all inclusive". Je suggérerais de séjourner ailleurs, à moins qu'ils n'aient amélioré le centre de villégiature.

Horrible - upgraded as this hotel is so run down. We were so excited for our vacation and that all ended when we arrived at this resort. My family had visited this resort every year for several years and use to love it. I has previously stayed at Las Dunas which I would suggest over this place. We were upgraded to another resort after pointing out the very obvious run down rooms, philthy dining room and lack of general maintenance. Lots of fees for alcohol that isn't their basics such as Corona, other resorts include these it is suppose to be "all inclusive". I would suggest staying some where else unless they have upgraded the resort.

Charmante station de petite taille.

Avec la plus belle plage naturelle de sable blanc, ce charmant complexe hôtelier était l'antidote parfait au climat hivernal misérable que nous avons connu cette année. Les chambres et le terrain étaient très propres et bien entretenus. Le personnel était amical et arrangeant à tous points de vue. Il y avait toujours beaucoup de choix à chaque repas, de sorte que personne n'est resté sur sa faim, à l'exception des plus difficiles. Et surtout, le rapport qualité-prix était excellent ! Lovely smaller sized resort. With the most beautiful natural white sand beach, this lovely resort was the perfect antidote for the miserable winter weather we had this year. The rooms and the grounds were very clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and accommodating in every way. There was always plenty of choices for food at every meal, so no one should go hungry, save for the pickiest of eaters. Best of all, it was tremendous value for the money! I would definitely stay here again!

Très aimable et attentif

Tout le personnel était très amical et enthousiaste à l'idée d'essayer de nous aider en cas de question ou de problème. Nous avons été traités comme des vip toute la semaine. Le jardinier avait des fleurs pour nos cheveux tous les jours après le petit-déjeuner. Les grooms ont répondu à toutes les questions et ont été d'une aide précieuse à tous points de vue. Very Friendly and attentive All staff were very friendly and enthaustic about trying to help out with any question, or concern. We were treated like vip's the whole week. The Gardener had flowers for our hair everyday after breakfast. The bell boys answered all questions and were more than helpful in every way. The bartending staff was excellent and very friendly. The grounds were very well kept. The rooms were clean and very relaxing. No complaints

Excellent centre de villégiature !!!

Très belle station, très propre ! Le personnel a toujours été amical et serviable et a rendu notre séjour très agréable. J'ai fêté mon anniversaire pendant que nous étions là et l'équipe de la salle à manger s'est surpassée ! Merci pour ces vacances mémorables :-)

Great resort!!! Very nice, clean resort!! The staff were always friendly and helpful and made our stay very enjoyable. I celebrated my birthday while we were there and the dining room team went above and beyond!! Thanks for a memorable vacation :-)

Pour le moins insatisfaisant

Je ne recommanderais pas cet hôtel. C'est la troisième fois que je séjourne dans un hôtel de la bande de Cayo Santa Maria et c'est celui que j'ai le moins aimé. Les options alimentaires étaient très limitées, le personnel n'était sensible qu'aux pourboires constants et la bande de plage sur laquelle se trouve l'hôtel passe de la profondeur de la cheville à l'eau en deux pas. Mon partenaire est entré dans notre chambre dans l'après-midi pour trouver notre femme de ménage en train d'uriner dans no [... lire plus]s toilettes avec la porte ouverte. Lorsque nous avons pris notre chambre, la poubelle était sur le lit et les meubles étaient à l'envers. Croyez-moi, allez à Cayo Santa Maria qui est plus haut sur la bande et une expérience BEAUCOUP plus agréable pour le même prix.

Unsatisfied to say the least I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Its the third time I've stayed at a hotel on the Cayo Santa Maria Strip- this was my least favorite. The food options were very limited, the staff were only responsive to constant tips and the strip of beach the hotel is on goes from ankle deep to underwater in two steps. My partner walked into our room in the afternoon to find our cleaner urinating in our washroom with the door open. When we got our room initially, the wastebasket was on the bed and furniture was upside down. Trust me- go to Cayo Santa Maria that's up the strip and a MUCH better experience for the same cost.

C'est la première fois que nous venons à Cuba et nous reviendrons !

Nous venons de rentrer de notre premier voyage à Cuba. Pour encadrer un peu mon commentaire : c'était notre deuxième voyage tout compris (le premier étant au Mexique, dans un 5 étoiles). Et comme mentionné dans le titre, c'était notre premier voyage à Cuba. Nous ne sommes pas très exigeants. J'ai lu une tonne de commentaires sur différents hôtels et beaucoup sur celui-ci, donc je savais à quoi m'attendre. LA NOURRITURE : Le bon côté des choses : Nous avons entrepris ce voyage avec peu d'attent [... lire plus]es quant au goût de la nourriture et nous avons été agréablement surpris. J'ai toujours trouvé quelque chose à manger, toujours avec de la saveur et généralement fraîchement cuisiné devant moi. Oui, il y a des files d'attente, mais cela en vaut vraiment la peine et il suffit parfois de choisir les bons moments pour qu'il n'y ait presque pas d'attente ! Allez voir Frank au buffet et il vous fera une délicieuse omelette. Le riz frit/stir fry au dîner était également délicieux. Au bout de quelques jours, nous nous sommes un peu lassés de la même chose, mais cela peut arriver n'importe où et c'était la même chose dans notre dernier hôtel. Au bout d'un certain temps, on se lasse des buffets. Le snack-bar de la plage fait de bonnes pizzas ! Vous devrez peut-être attendre aux heures de pointe, mais cela en vaut la peine... Attention aux adorables chats de l'hôtel qui pourraient vouloir goûter à votre pizza aussi ! (Cela ne m'a pas dérangé du tout, je suis une personne qui aime les chats et il y en avait beaucoup ici). Les moins bonnes : Le bœuf. J'ai évité d'en manger, mais mon copain a dit qu'il était assez moelleux et coriace. Il a été malade les deux fois qu'il en a mangé, pensant que la deuxième fois serait différente, mais ce n'était pas le cas. LA SALLE : Le bon côté des choses : Nous avons opté pour une chambre avec vue sur l'océan à notre arrivée et cela en valait vraiment la peine. Le bâtiment 11 était très central et offrait une vue magnifique sur l'océan, tout en étant proche de la piscine. Les lits étaient confortables, la chambre était propre. Nous avons toujours eu de l'eau chaude et une bonne pression d'eau. Les moins bons : Les fourmis. C'est un problème courant dans cet hôtel, je pense, nous avons eu quelques fourmis un peu partout dans la chambre, mais les avoir dans la salle de bain m'a dérangé. Au bout de quelques jours, la chambre n'ayant pas été vaporisée comme demandé, nous avons pulvérisé un peu de notre spray anti-insectes et cela a semblé nous débarrasser des fourmis au bout de deux ou trois fois. Je n'étais pas fan, mais encore une fois ce n'était pas la fin du monde et nous avons fait avec. Une autre remarque - que d'autres ont mentionnée et à laquelle d'autres s'intéressent peut-être plus que nous - certains des draps et des serviettes étaient tachés. Il était évident qu'ils étaient propres et c'est tout ce qui comptait pour nous, mais je sais que cela peut être gênant pour certains. POOL/BEACH : Le bon côté : La piscine était toujours impeccable et le service du bar de la piscine était excellent, toujours amical et se souvenait de vos commandes de boissons. La plage était magnifique, c'est une évidence pour cet endroit, je pense ! Nous avons été déçus d'avoir eu beaucoup de jours "drapeau rouge" (trop venteux), mais ce n'est pas la faute de personne, et nous avons quand même apprécié. Les moins bons : Le jeu des serviettes... après 3 jours, nous avons réalisé que si nous voulions de l'ombre, il fallait se lever à 6 heures du matin pour se réserver une place, puis retourner au lit. Je déteste cela et j'ai détesté y participer mais il n'y a pas beaucoup de choix si on veut de l'ombre ! SERVICE : Aucun point négatif ici. Les gens sont à 100% ce qui nous fera revenir à Cuba et dans ce resort. Nous avons rencontré des personnes merveilleuses, chaleureuses et douces. Si rien d'autre ne vous convainc de retourner à Cuba, ce sera le cas. Nous avons donné beaucoup de pourboires et je ne sais pas si c'est parce que c'était attendu pour le service ou parce que nous voulions simplement le faire parce que tout le monde était si génial. C'est tellement agréable de se promener et d'avoir des gens qui vous reconnaissent, qui vous sourient, qui vous saluent et qui sont toujours agréables. Très peu de gens n'étaient pas comme ça... Les Cubains ont vraiment volé nos cœurs ! D'autres choses méritent d'être mentionnées : Le Spa - atmosphère très relaxante, mais la piscine et le jacuzzi avaient besoin d'un nettoyage désespéré quand nous y sommes allés, beaucoup de choses flottantes et j'ai été un peu dégoûtée quand, alors que j'étais dans la piscine, j'ai vu un tas de fourmis mortes flottantes autour de moi ! Ew ! Nous sommes sortis rapidement. Je ne sais pas si c'était juste un mauvais moment, mais je recommanderais à la direction de se pencher sur la question, car aucune des autres piscines n'a jamais été autre chose qu'impeccable. Dans l'ensemble, je pense que c'est un bon complexe hôtelier et j'y retournerais si nous faisions une autre bonne affaire.

First time in Cuba and we'll be back! Just returned from our first trip to Cuba. To frame my review a little: this was our second all inclusive (first being Mexico, at a 5 star). And as mentioned in the title first time to Cuba. We are not very fussy people. I read a ton of reviews for various hotels and lots on this one, so I knew what to expect. FOOD: The good: We went into this trip with pretty low expectations of what the food would taste like and were pleasantly surprised. I always found something to eat, always with flavour and usually freshly cooked in front of me. Yes, there are line ups - but totally worth it and sometimes you just have to pick the right times and there is hardly a wait! Go see Frank in the buffet and he'll make you a delicious omelet. Fried rice/stir fry at dinner was delicious too. A few days in we got a little tired of the same old.. but this would happen anywhere and was the same on our last resort. You get tired of buffet food after awhile. The beach snack bar makes good pizza! You might have to wait during peak times but it's worth it.. beware of adorable resort cats who may want a taste of your pizza too! (Didn't bother me at all, I am a cat person and there were lots here). The not so good: The beef. I stayed away from it, but my boyfriend said it was quite chewy and tough. He got sick both times he ate it, thinking the second time might be different but it wasn't. ROOM: The good: We upgraded to ocean view when we arrived and it was totally worth it. Building 11 was very central and had a great view of the ocean, yet still close to the pool as well. Beds were comfortable, room was clean. Always had hot water and great water pressure. The not so good: Ants. This is a common problem at this hotel I think, we had a few randoms around the room but having them in the bathroom did bother me. After a few days of the room not being sprayed as requested - we sprayed some of our bug spray and that seemed to get rid of them after a couple of times. Wasn't a fan, but again it wasn't the end of the world and we dealt with it. Another note - something that others have mentioned and others might care more than we did - some of the sheets and towels had stains. It was obvious they were clean and that's all that mattered to us but I know this may be off putting for some. POOL/BEACH: The good: The pool was always immaculate and the pool bar service was great, always friendly and would remember your drink orders. The beach was stunning, that is a given for this location I think! We were disappointed we had a lot of "Red flag" days (too windy) but that is no ones fault, and we still enjoyed it anyway. The not so good: The towel game... after 3 days we realized if we wanted shade it was up at 6am to save ourselves a spot then back to bed again. I hate this and I hated taking part in it but not much choice if you wanted shade! SERVICE: No negatives here. The people are 100% what will bring us back to Cuba and this resort. What wonderful, warm, sweet people we came across. If nothing else sells you on Cuba this will. We tipped a lot and I'm not sure it was that it was expected for service or that we just wanted to because everyone was so great. It's so nice to walk by and have people recognize you, smile, wave, and always be so pleasant. Very few people were not like this... Cubans really stole our hearts! Other things worth mentioning: The Spa -- very relaxing atmosphere however both the pool and the jacuzzi needed a desperate cleaning when we went, lots of floating stuff and I was a little grossed out when while I was in the pool saw a bunch of dead floating ants around me! Ew! We got out quick. Don't know if that was just a bad moment, but I would recommend management look into it as none of the other pools were ever anything but pristine. Overall I think this is a good resort and would go back if we got another good deal.

Grand centre de villégiature

Station balnéaire très calme avec beaucoup d'espace pour se promener et une belle plage. En construction lorsque nous y étions, mais le terrain est bien entretenu et les gens sont très sympathiques. Bel emplacement, avec un bon trajet en bus jusqu'au centre de villégiature.

Great resort Very quiet resort with lots of room to walk and beautiful beach. Under construction when we where there, but grounds are kept up and the people are very friendly. Beautiful location, with a good bus ride to the resort.

De superbes vacances en famille et entre amis !

La plage était géniale ! (Bien qu'elle devienne rapidement profonde, ce qui n'est pas très bon pour les petits enfants) Le complexe était agréable et propre. Nourriture juste correcte. Marché sympa à proximité. Les Pina Colada sont très bonnes, les Mojito moins bons. Un bon complexe pour se détendre au bord de l'océan !

Great vacation with family and friends! Beach was awesome! (Although it got deep fast, not so good for small kids) Resort was nice and clean. Food just ok. Nice market near by. Really good Pina Colada's, Mojito not so good. A good resort to go and just relax by the ocean!

L'un des meilleurs endroits de Cuba !

Nous avons séjourné à Holguin, Varadero et La Havane, mais Santa Maria a été notre séjour cubain préféré.Ce complexe est petit, avec une plage et un terrain magnifiques.La musique live est excellente et le personnel ne pourrait pas être plus serviable.Il y a suffisamment de bonnes options de nourriture pour que tout le monde soit content.J'ai aussi adoré la piscine.

One of the best spots in Cuba! We have stayed in holguin,Varadero and Havana but Santa Maria was our favourite Cuban holiday.This resort is small with a beautiful beach and grounds.The live music is excellent and the staff couldn't be more helpful.There are enough good food options to make everyone happy.Loved the pool too.

Un personnel formidable

Le personnel de service, qu'il s'agisse du bar ou de la nourriture, était incroyablement amical et s'est efforcé d'en faire toujours plus. Le club Excellence valait bien le coût supplémentaire. Les chambres étaient de bonne taille mais auraient pu être améliorées. J'aurais également aimé avoir le service d'étage sur place. Le groupe d'hommes qui chantait dans le bar du hall certains soirs était phénoménal. Il aurait été agréable d'avoir des divertissements plus longs et de les voir plus souven [... lire plus]t.

Great staff The wait staff whether it be bar or food were all incredibly friendly and ensured to go the extra mile. Excellence club was worth the additional cost. The rooms were a nice size but could use some upgrading, I also would gave liked to have room service on site. The all male band that sang in the lobby bar some nights was phenomenal. It would have been nice to have longer entertainment and seen more of them.

Superbe Resort !!!!

J'avais quelques doutes sur le fait d'aller à Cuba... Nous avons passé un excellent moment ! De l'accueil à l'aéroport à l'accueil au centre de villégiature, tout était parfait. Le personnel de service était fantastique, les chambres étaient propres et bien aménagées. Nous reviendrons !

Great Resort!!!! Had some missgivings about going to Cuba... We had a great time! From the airport pick up to the welcome at the resort, all was great. The wait staff was fantastic, the rooms were clean and well appointed. We WILL be back!

Melia Cayo Santa Maria Cuba

Nous avons réservé cet hôtel sur recommandation de notre assistante centrale Jen. L'hôtel était génial : boissons délicieuses, nombreuses options de restauration, belle plage, personnel sympathique, grands spectacles tous les soirs et chambres propres. Le seul inconvénient était le long trajet en bus jusqu'à l'hôtel. Dans l'ensemble, c'était un très bon voyage.

Booked this hotel upon recommendation of our trip central assistant Jen. The hotel was great: delicious drinks, lots of food options, beautiful beach, friendly staff, great shows every night and clean rooms. The only down side was the long bus ride to the resort. Overall a great trip.

Nice Resort

On ne peut jamais se tromper avec un hôtel Melia. Très propre. Bonne nourriture. Complexe bien entretenu. Les plages de Cuba sont absolument magnifiques. C'est notre deuxième séjour dans un hôtel Melia à Santa Maria. Nous avons adoré nos vacances les deux fois. Vous pouvez vous détendre avec un bon livre ou participer aux nombreux jeux de piscine et de plage. De bons moments !

You can never go wrong with a Melia resort. Very clean. Good food. Well maintained resort. The beaches in Cuba are absolutely beautiful. This is our 2nd time to a Melia resort in Santa Maria. We loved our vacation both times. You can relax with a good book or get involved in the many pool and beach games. Good times !

Grande escapade

C'était mon premier séjour dans les hôtels Melia et celui de mon mari, et notre première fois à Santa Maria. C'était magnifique, comme tout Cuba. J'ai trouvé le trajet jusqu'à l'hôtel un peu long mais il y avait suffisamment d'animation pendant le trajet en bus. J'aurais aimé le voir en journée car nous sommes arrivés le soir et repartis le soir, donc nous n'avons pas vu grand chose de Santa Clara, c'est peut-être pour cela que le trajet en bus nous a semblé long. Le premier soir de notre arrivé [... lire plus]e, il n'y avait pas d'électricité dans notre chambre, mais le problème a été résolu rapidement. Le lendemain, nous avons demandé à changer de chambre, car nous trouvons que les chambres du premier étage d'un complexe hôtelier sentent généralement la moisissure. Mon mari et moi avons été transférés au deuxième étage, ce qui était vraiment très bien. La nourriture était très bonne dans ce complexe, nous avons vraiment aimé les fruits de mer frais au buffet ainsi qu'à la plage. Nous avons eu droit à la pêche du jour tous les jours pour le déjeuner. Le terrain était très bien entretenu, nous avons discuté avec les employés du terrain et ils étaient très gentils. Les gars qui coupaient les noix de coco étaient formidables, nous avons pris une noix de coco fraîche du palmier et bien sûr nous sommes allés au bar pour y mettre du rhum et beaucoup de glace. Les chambres étaient très propres et le réfrigérateur du bar était bien rempli tous les jours avec des bouteilles d'eau fraîche, des boissons gazeuses et de la bière. Les spectacles du soir étaient très bons. Les toilettes publiques étaient très propres, mais certaines cabines n'avaient pas de siège de toilette, et le distributeur de serviettes en papier était assez unique avec du papier toilette à l'intérieur au lieu d'une serviette en papier, ce qui nous a bien fait rire, mon mari et moi. La nourriture à Cuba est connue pour ne pas être très bonne, mais comme je l'ai dit précédemment, le poisson était excellent, il y avait toujours quelque chose à manger et nous l'avons beaucoup apprécié et il est fort probable que nous y retournerions et que nous le recommanderions à nos amis. Au bar principal, il y avait un excellent cappaccino, et mon mari et moi y sommes allés tous les matins après le petit-déjeuner. J'ai également apprécié le marché et le spa pour un massage.

Great Getaway This was mine and my husband's first stay at the Melia Hotels and our first time in Santa Maria. It was beautiful as is all of Cuba. I did find the drive to the resort a little long but there was enough entertainment on the bus ride there. I would have liked to have seen it in daytime as we arrived in the evening and also left in the evening so didn't see much of Santa Clara so maybe that's why it seemed like a long bus ride. On the first night we arrived, there was no power in our room but was resolved quickly. Next day we asked to be moved to another room as we find the rooms on the first floor in any resort are usually very musty. My husband and I were moved to the second floor which was really great. The food was very good at this resort, we really loved the fresh seafood on the buffet as well as at the beach. We had the catch of the day everyday we were there for lunch. The grounds were very well kept, talked to the workers around the grounds and they were very nice. The guys that cut the coconuts down were great, we had a fresh coconut from the palm tree and of course we had gone to the bar and put rum and lots of ice in it. The rooms were kept very clean and bar fridge was well stocked everyday with fresh bottled water and pop & beer. The evening shows were very good. The public washrooms were very clean, but some stalls missing toilet seat, and paper towel dispenser was quite unique with toilet paper inside them instead of paper towel which me and my husband had a good laugh at. Cuba's food is known not to be very good, but like I said previously, the fish was great, there was always something you could eat and we enjoyed it very much and would most likely go back again and recommend to friends. At the main bar they had excellent cappaccino, and my husband and I went every morning after breakfast. I also liked the market and the Spa for a massage.

Excellent centre de villégiature

Très belle station avec un bon aménagement, des gens très sympathiques et une nourriture savoureuse. Les chambres étaient un peu désuètes, mais à peu près au même niveau que d'autres complexes hôteliers à Cuba. Pas d'insectes du tout. Les divertissements étaient corrects mais ils ont fait de leur mieux.

Excellent Resort Very nice resort with good layout, very friendly people, and tasty food. Rooms were a little dated but about par to other resorts in Cuba. No bugs at all. Entertainment was okay but they tried their best.
