Memories Cayo Largo: Des terrains et des plages magnifiques

Le personnel était très amical et serviable. La nourriture était satisfaisante. Les chambres avaient désespérément besoin d'être rénovées, bien qu'elles soient propres. Il était formidable d'être à seulement 10 minutes de l'aéroport.

Beautiful grounds and beaches The people were very friendly and helpful as needed. The food was satisfactory. The rooms were in desperate need of updating and refurbishing, although clean. It was terrific to be only a 10 minute ride to/from the airport.

Starfish Cayo Largo: J'adore ce centre de villégiature !

C'est notre troisième visite à Cayo Largo et c'est le meilleur hôtel des deux. Nous avons visité de nombreuses provinces de Cuba et, de loin, ce complexe offre la meilleure plage, un beau sable blanc dans lequel on peut se glisser les orteils. L'hôtel offre des parasols que les clients peuvent utiliser gratuitement pour la plage ou pour se rendre à la plage Serina lors du voyage en autobus ou en bateau. Si vous voulez visiter la plage de Serina, je vous conseille de prendre un taxi, vous y arr [... lire plus]iverez beaucoup plus vite pour seulement 2 pesos par personne. Le terrain de l'hôtel est magnifique, avec de nombreux petits trésors cachés pour ceux qui aiment prendre des photos. La nourriture était excellente, il y avait tellement de choix, des salades, des pains, des soupes, de la viande (tous les groupes de viande), du riz, des pommes de terre, des pâtes, et je dois ajouter que leur version des macaronis au fromage au restaurant Rachon était incroyable ! Nous avons eu du ciel bleu et du soleil toute la semaine, les températures ont varié de 24 à 27°C. Nous recommandons vivement ce complexe à tous. Nous n'avons pas d'enfants en bas âge, mais il y a une piscine et un parc pour les plus petits.

Love this resort! This is our 3rd visit to Cayo Largo and this was the best resort of the two. We have visited many provinces of Cuba and by far this resort offers the best beach, beautiful white sand to squish your toes in. The resort offers umbrellas for the guests to use at no charge for the beach or to take to the Serina beach on the bus/boat trip. My advice to you if you want to visit Serina beach, just take a cab, you will get there so much faster for a mere 2 pesos per person. The resort grounds are lovely, lots of little hidden treasures for those that love to take pictures. The food was excellent, so much to choose from, from salads, breads, soups, meat (all meat groups) rice, potatoes, pastas, which I might add their version of mac and cheese at the Rachon restaurant was amazing!! We had blue sky and sunshine the entire week, temps ranged from 24 to 27 C. We highly recommend this resort to all. There is a great kids club too, we don't have small children but they do offer a great pool and park area for the little ones.

Grand Memories Cayo Largo: Ok

Les terrains sont superbes. Les gens travaillent dur. Quelques jours, nous n'avons pas eu d'eau le matin et plus tard dans la soirée, ce qui était pénible. La chambre était bien nettoyée tous les jours avec des serviettes fraîches. La nourriture était correcte. La carte était bonne. Pas de plage, ce que nous ne savions pas avant notre arrivée. La plage a été emportée l'année dernière par l'ouragan Matthew mais il y a une autre plage sur la route.

Grounds are great. The people work hard. Few days we experienced no water in the morning and later in the evening which was a pain. Room was cleaned well everyday with fresh towels. Food was ok. A la carte was good. No beach which we never knew about until we arrived. Beach washed away last year with hurricane Matthew but another beach up the road.

Je reviendrais, mais avant de m'engager, j'irais sur Google Earth pour m'assurer que la plage est toujours là - Sol Pelicano n'a PAS de plage maintenant et j'ai été choqué.

The staff were really great. The food was adequate - a little more effort would have gone a long way to making it very good. The room was spacious but tired looking and in need of some TLC. It certainly was ok. They lost some beach since last year but there was still lots so walking the beach was great. The swimming was great in the pool and ocean. The a-la-carts were not very good so I wouldn't bother with them again. It was no crowded and it was nice not having to worry about having a lounge chair to sit on. I would return again but before I committed I would google earth to make sure the beach was still there - Sol Pelicano has NO beach now and I was shocked.

C'est un complexe spacieux avec de grands espaces communs et un personnel amical, courtois et attentif (en particulier Carlos à la réception). (La climatisation fonctionnait, nous n'avons pas eu de problèmes d'eau jusqu'au dernier jour où elle a été coupée pendant 12 heures, notre chambre était de bonne taille avec un bon lit, une nouvelle télévision à écran plat, un coffre-fort et un sèche-cheveux en état de marche, mais l'éclairage de la salle de bain était insuffisant. La piscine est grande e [... lire plus]t dispose de nombreuses chaises, mais les serviettes de bain ne sont pas toujours disponibles. Il y a des activités quotidiennes et des divertissements nocturnes. Il y a des activités quotidiennes et des divertissements nocturnes. TOUTEFOIS : il n'y a plus de plage à Playa Blanca à cause des vents violents, des vagues et de l'érosion. La plage la plus proche est à 10 minutes de marche et les vêtements sont facultatifs. L'hôtel propose un service de train gratuit et un transfert en bateau jusqu'à la plage de Sirena, qui est magnifique. Vous pouvez également prendre un taxi (disponibilité variable) pour 2CUC pour Paraiso (idéal pour les petits) ou Sirena. EN OUTRE : La nourriture est celle à laquelle on s'attend à Cuba. Médiocre et jamais à la bonne température. Très peu de légumes frais, pas de bacon, pas de crème glacée. Très répétitif et généralement ennuyeux à l'exception de nos plats à la carte. Nous avons mangé un homard incroyable lors de notre croisière optionnelle au coucher du soleil. Nous avons parlé à un certain nombre de personnes qui avaient besoin de changer de chambre pour diverses raisons, ce qui a été facilement facilité. Il y a des problèmes d'accessibilité évidents. Il n'y a pas d'ascenseur dans le bâtiment principal de trois étages et les toilettes pour handicapés sont mal conçues. Il y a encore des améliorations à apporter. Cela dit, nous avons tendance à être assez faciles à satisfaire et nous avons passé une semaine agréable avec un temps magnifique et des gens formidables.

Playa Blanca but no playa This is a spacious resort with large open common areas and friendly ,curteous and attentive staff. (Esp. Carlos at the front desk)AC was working,we had no water issues till the last day when it was off for 12hrs, our room was a good size with a good bed, new flatscreen TV, working safe and hair dryer but poor lighting in Bathroom.There are no radios, alarm clocks or coffee makers in the rooms but the coffee downstairs is great. The pool area is large with plenty of chairs though bech towels are not always readily available.There are daily activities and nightly entertainment. HOWEVER: There is no longer a beach at Playa Blanca due to high winds,waves and erosion.The nearest beach is a 10min walk and is clothing optional. Many of the beaches along this coast appear to be at risk.The resort provides free train service and transfer by boat to Sirena beach which is beautiful. You can also take a cab (availability varies) for 2CUC to Paraiso(great for little ones) or Sirena. FURTHER: The food is what you expect in Cuba. Mediocre and never at the appropriate temperature. Very little in way of fresh vegetables,no bacon, no ice cream.Very repetative and generally boring except for our a la cartes.We did have amazing lobster on our optional sunset cruise. We did speak to a number of people who needed to change rooms for various deficiencies.This was readily facilitated.There are definite accessibility issues. There are no elevators in the main 3 storey building and the handicapped washrooms are poorly designed. There continues to be room for improvement. That all being said, we tend to be fairly easy to please and we did have a lovely week with great weather and great people.

Love Cayo Largo Well the resort is acceptable for Cuba but that's not the reason to come here. This trip is about pristine beaches, amazing sun, sand and fun. The beaches offer something for everyone from waves to calm waters, snorkelling to long walks. It's a place you can turn off the outside world and just enjoy the sounds, the warmth and your partner all day long. If you need a place that's get rid of the daily distractions than Cayo Largo is the place for you.

Memories Cayo Largo: Bon centre de villégiature.

Le terrain et la plage sont magnifiques ! Ils organisent un barbecue tous les jours sur la plage et la vue depuis le restaurant est magnifique. La chambre était agréable et confortable. La piscine était très agréable. Ils ont aussi un super groupe de musique cubaine.

Good Resort. Grounds and beach were beautiful! The food was simple but good.They have a barbque every day by the beach and the view from the restaurant is beautiful. Room was nice and comfortable. The pool was really nice. They also have a great Cuban house band.

Nous avons séjourné ici du 12 au 19 janvier. D'après ce que nous avons entendu, l'hôtel a été récemment rénové et vient de rouvrir ses portes. Le terrain est agréable, les chambres sont propres. La plage du complexe a été emportée par les intempéries et les vents violents. Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir du beau temps, mais apparemment la semaine précédente n'a pas été aussi bonne. Beaucoup de gens se plaignent de ne pas avoir d'eau chaude, notre chambre était bien, c'était au moins de l'eau ch [... lire plus]aude. Le personnel était formidable !!!! Hebert et Frank sont des gens formidables ! Les boissons sont fortes et le barman de l'espace scénique est lui aussi génial ! Un court trajet en train et en bateau... Ou en taxi, vous pouvez vous rendre à la plage de Salena... Absolument magnifique. Probablement la plus belle plage que j'ai jamais vue ! La nourriture était correcte... De bonnes omelettes au petit déjeuner, des pâtes et des pizzas au dîner Notre amie est tombée malade pendant un jour et demi, je ne sais pas trop d'où ça vient. Les lits sont super durs et pas confortables. On ne va pas à Cuba pour la nourriture ou l'hébergement.... On y va pour les plages ensoleillées et les gens ! Dans l'ensemble, nous avons apprécié notre séjour. C'est une petite île où il n'y a pas grand-chose à faire et les clients de l'hôtel sont pour la plupart des personnes âgées du Québec et d'Italie. La discothèque à la Marina était amusante.

It's ok We stayed here January 12-19. It was newly renovated from what we heard and just opened back up. The grounds are nice, rooms are clean. The beach at the resort was washed out due to the weather and high winds. We got lucky with great weather but apparently the week before was not so Great. Lots of people complaining about no hot water, our room was fine it was at least warm water. The staff was great!!!! Hebert and frank are great guys! The drinks are strong and the bartender in the stage area is great too! A short train ride and boat ride... Or a cab you can get to Salena beach... Absolutely gorgeous. . Probably the most beautiful beach I've ever seen! Food was ok... Great omelettes for breakfast and pasta and pizza at dinner was good! Our friend did get sick for a day and a half not sure what from. The beds are super hard and not comfortable. You don't go to Cuba for the food or accommodations... You go for the sunshine beaches and the people! All in all we enjoyed our stay. It is a small island with not much to do and the guests at the hotel are mostly older from Quebec and Italy. The disco at the Marina was fun.

Starfish Cayo Largo: Belle station balnéaire

Très bel hôtel, très propre et très accueillant. La plus belle plage de tous les temps, il faut aller à Playa Sirena. Le sable est comme du sucre glace. Bonne sélection de nourriture et barbecue extraordinaire tous les jours au bord de la piscine. Les barmans sont incroyables.

Memories Cayo Largo: Sol Cayo Largo - Un très beau centre de villégiature !

Le terrain était magnifiquement entretenu et assez luxuriant compte tenu de l'endroit. La chambre était spacieuse et lumineuse et le lit était ferme mais confortable. Il a fallu un peu de temps pour s'habituer aux oreillers trop larges. Les toilettes étaient un peu délabrées, mais je n'ai eu aucun problème avec la pression de l'eau et l'eau chaude était toujours disponible. D'autres ont eu des problèmes de pression, mais j'ai eu de la chance. J'étais assez loin de l'activité et ma fe [... lire plus]nêtre donnait sur l'océan, je n'ai donc pas eu de problème avec le niveau de bruit comme d'autres personnes qui étaient plus proches de la scène principale/du bar et qui donnaient sur l'océan. La plage est magnifique et le sable était fin et blanc. Nous avons eu un peu trop de vent, donc le drapeau rouge était levé presque tous les jours et nager ou faire du snorkling à partir de la plage n'était pas dans nos cartes, mais jouer dans le surf et marcher sur la plage était incroyable. La seule chose à savoir est qu'il y a une extrémité de la plage où les vêtements sont interdits et où vous ne voudrez peut-être pas emmener vos enfants. Vous pouvez marcher d'un bout à l'autre en passant (et en entrant) dans les autres stations. La piscine était froide, mais une fois que vous l'avez atteinte, elle était très rafraîchissante et super propre. Il y a toujours des tonnes de chaises longues à la fois à la piscine et à la plage, de sorte que vous n'avez pas besoin d'envoyer vos maris trop tôt pour réserver les sièges. Le bar principal était notre plaque tournante où nous nous retrouvions pour prendre un café (le meilleur que j'ai eu à Cuba) et des boissons avant de décider où aller ensuite. Les barmans étaient très sympathiques et efficaces ! Je ne sais pas comment ils font. Je n'ai jamais eu à attendre trop longtemps pour un verre ou deux ou trois..... La nourriture était assez bonne, mais à peu près la même chaque jour, à l'exception des plats principaux. Il y avait beaucoup de bons poissons grillés frais à la commande et la sélection de fromages au dîner était vraiment géniale ! La soupe est toujours bonne, alors n'hésitez pas. La file d'attente pour le BBQ du midi était un peu lente et il arrivait souvent qu'il n'y ait plus de poulet, mais cela valait la peine d'attendre. Envoyez votre conjoint et commandez pour 2. Le snack-bar proposait les meilleures boissons et ces sandwichs au porc... miam ! Bien sûr, les frites sont incontournables. J'avais dit que je n'en prendrais qu'une fois, mais j'ai réussi à briser cette promesse à plusieurs reprises. Nous avons pris l'ala-carte deux fois. Une fois au restaurant de la plage, qui était vraiment bon, et une fois à Las Trinas, qui était correct. J'aurais préféré le buffet à Las Trinas, j'ai apprécié l'atmosphère mais la nourriture n'était pas très bonne. Le massage au spa était une véritable affaire. Vous pouvez demander un massage "dur" et ils vous en donnent un exactement comme vous le feriez au Canada avec une masseuse qualifiée. Elles avaient toutes les bonnes techniques et valaient bien les 25 cuc. Nous en avons eu deux chacun. Comme d'habitude, le personnel était incroyablement amical, très serviable et engageant. Nous avons pris l'excursion "Super Reef" et avons beaucoup apprécié cette journée. Le deuxième récif était nettement meilleur que celui du matin, alors ne le négligez pas. Le homard était délicieux. Dans l'ensemble, même si nous n'avons pas beaucoup nagé à la plage, nous avons passé un très bon moment et nous recommanderions sans hésiter ce complexe.

Sol Cayo Largo-A very nice resort! Grounds were kept beautifully and was pretty lush considering the locale. Room was spacious and bright and the bed was firm but comfortable. Those over-wide pillows took a bit of getting used to. Washroom was a little run down, but I had no issues with the water pressure and the hot water was always available. Others had issue with pressure, but I lucked out. I was far enough away from the activity and my window faced towards the ocean, so didn't have any issues with the noise level that some of the other people had who were closer to the main stage/bar and faced that way. The beach is beautiful and the sand was fine and white. We had a bit too much wind so the red flag was up almost everyday and swimming or snorkling from the beach was not in our cards, but playing in the surf and walking the beach was amazing. Only thing to be aware of is that there is a clothing-optional end of the beach where you may not want to take your kids. You can walk from one end to the other passing (and going into) the other resorts. The pool was cool, but once you get it, it was very refreshing and was super clean. Always tons of loungers both by the pool and at the beach so you don't have to send your husbands out too early to stake out the seats. The main bar was our hub where we met for coffee (best I've had in Cuba) and drinks before deciding where to next. The bartenders were super friendly and efficient!! Don't know how they do it. Never had to wait too long for a drink or two or three..... Food was quite good but pretty much the same each day with the exception of the main courses. There was lots of great fish grilled fresh to order and the cheese selection at dinner was really great! Their soup was always good so go for it. The lunch BBQ line up was a bit slow and often they ran out of chicken quickly, but worth the wait. Send your spouse and order for 2. The snack bar had the best drinks and those pork sandwiches...yum! Of course the fries are a must. I said I would only have it ones, but I managed to break that promise time and time again. We did the ala-carte twice. Once at the beach restaurant which was really good, and once at Las Trinas, which was okay. I would have preferred the buffet to Las Trinas, I enjoyed the atmosphere but the food wasn't that great. The massage at the spa was the real deal. You can ask for "hard" and they give you one exactly as you would get in Canada from a trained masseuse. They had all the right techniques and well worth the 25 cuc. We had 2 each. As usual, the staff was incredibly friendly and very helpful and engaging. We took the Super Reef Excursion and thoroughly enjoyed the day. The second reef was definitely better than the morning reef, so don't skip it. Lobster was delish. All in all, even though we didn't get to do much swimming at the beach, we had a great time and would definitely recommend this resort.

Starfish Cayo Largo: Un séjour extraordinaire !

L'hôtel est bien entretenu. Il a pris de l'âge avec classe. Une nourriture délicieuse, un personnel chaleureux et des moments passés avec l'équipe d'animation que l'on n'oubliera pas de sitôt. Des plages à couper le souffle. Nous reviendrons sans aucun doute.

Amazing stay!! Hotel is well maintained. Shows age with class. Delicious food warm friendly staff and moments spent with animation team that won't be forgotten in our life times. Wow factor beaches. Will definitely return.

Memories Cayo Largo: C'était bien.

L'hôtel en lui-même était agréable. Problèmes d'eau dans les chambres, les douches n'avaient parfois pas d'eau et les toilettes n'avaient pas de chasse d'eau. La nourriture était bonne et abondante si vous n'étiez pas trop difficile. Notre agent de voyage n'était jamais disponible aux heures qu'elle avait indiquées, nous devions donc constamment la retrouver. Les plages sont magnifiques. Notre seule excursion de plongée avec masque et tuba était merveilleuse, le déjeuner de homard était dél [... lire plus]icieux. Le terrain de l'hôtel était agréable. Le personnel de l'hôtel dans les restaurants et les bars était très amical et serviable. Je ne le recommanderais qu'à des amis qui recherchent des vacances bon marché.

It was OK. The hotel itself was nice. Problems with water in the rooms, showers sometimes had no water and toilets not flushing. Food was good and lots of it if you weren't too fussy. Our travel rep was never available at the times she indicated she would be so we constantly had to track her down. Beaches are beautiful. Our one snorkeling excursion was wonderful, lobster lunch was delicious. Hotel grounds were nice. Hotel staff in restaurants and bars were very friendly and helpful. Would only recommend to friends that were looking for a cheap vacation.

Starfish Cayo Largo: Je ne pense pas que nous reviendrons dans ce centre de villégiature.

C'est la deuxième fois que nous venons dans ce complexe. Nous pensions qu'il y aurait eu quelques avantages en tant que client régulier, mais non, il n'y a rien eu. Nous avons trouvé quelques changements qui n'étaient pas pour le mieux : 1- Il y avait un coffre-fort dans la chambre mais il fallait payer 2 pesos pour y avoir accès. 2- Il n'y a rien après le dîner en termes de divertissement et il faut attendre jusqu'à 10 heures pour que le divertissement commence, à ce moment-là, nous sommes f [... lire plus]atigués et prêts à aller au lit.

Don't think we will be back at this resort. This has been our 2nd time at this resort. We thought their may have been a few perks as a repeat customer but no, their was nothing. We found a few changes that wasn't for the better: 1- they had a safe deposit box in the room but you had to pay 2 pesos to have access to it. 2- nothing after supper in terms of entertainment and have to wait until 10 for any entertainment to start, by that time we are tired and ready to go to bed.

Le Sol cayo Largo est un excellent rapport qualité-prix si vous recherchez un endroit calme sur une plage magnifique. Les chambres, bien que datées, offrent tout ce dont vous avez besoin et le service est de premier ordre. Un rapide trajet en bus ou un scooter loué vous mènera à deux plages différentes qui sont parmi les meilleures au monde. La nourriture est "cubaine" ..... Vous n'aurez pas faim, mais il s'agit de Cuba.

A relaxing vacation Sol cayo Largo is a great value if you're looking for a quiet spot on a stunning beach. The rooms although dated offer everything you need and service is top notch. A quick bus ride or a rented scooter will take you to two different beaches which are among the best in the world. The food is "Cuban"....you won't go hungry but again it's Cuba.

J'ai été très satisfait du Sol Cayo Largo. La nourriture était assez bonne (selon les normes cubaines), les chambres étaient confortables et la plage est magnifique. Le personnel était sympathique et arrangeant. La musique et les groupes étaient merveilleux. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour et le recommandons particulièrement aux personnes d'âge mûr (40 ans et plus).

Love Cayo Largo Was very happy with Sol Cayo Largo. Food was pretty good (by Cuban standards), rooms were comfortable and the beach is stunning. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Music/bands were wonderful. Very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend particularly for mature crowd (40+).

Le complexe et la plage sont magnifiques. Si vous aimez marcher sur la plage, c'est l'endroit idéal - la plage ne s'arrête jamais et il est facile de s'y promener. La chambre et la vue depuis le balcon sont magnifiques. Les restaurants et les choix de nourriture sont les meilleurs que j'ai connus à Cuba, et tout le personnel était très amical, serviable et accommodant. Je recommande vivement ce complexe à tous ceux qui souhaitent passer des vacances pour adultes.

Best Resort in Cuba The resort and beach area are amazing. If you love walking on a beach, this is the place to go - the beach never ends and easy to walk. The room and view from the balcony were wonderful. The restaurants and food selections are the best I have experienced in Cuba, and all the staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend this resort for those interested in an adult focused vacation.

Les chambres étaient propres mais les lits très durs, la nourriture était aussi bonne que celle que nous avons connue dans les stations balnéaires cubaines, le personnel travaillait dur et était très attentif à nos moindres besoins. Le premier jour, nous n'avions pas de pression d'eau, mais cela a été réparé le lendemain. Les piscines étaient propres et bien entretenues, tout comme le sol. Nous avons vraiment apprécié les plages et il y avait toujours des chaises et des cabanes d'ombre à notre d [... lire plus]isposition, les chaises n'étaient pas recouvertes de serviettes si personne n'était là pour les utiliser. Nous reviendrons dans ce complexe.

This was a great vacation the rooms clean but the beds very hard, the food was as good as we have experienced in Cuban resorts, the staff was hard working and very attentive to our every need. The first day we had no water pressure but that was repair by the next day. the pools were clean and well taken care of and the ground were as well. We truly enjoyed the beaches and there was always chair and shade huts for us to use, the chairs were not covered with towels if nobody was there to use them. We would return to this resort.

Memories Cayo Largo: Plage étonnante

Les chambres, comme je l'ai lu dans d'autres commentaires, sont un peu désuètes. Le service en chambre était excellent. L'eau et les boissons sont renouvelées tous les jours. La nourriture au buffet était correcte. Le poisson grillé et le bar à omelettes étaient très bons. Le restaurant situé sur la plage était très bon au déjeuner. Le service et la nourriture au dîner étaient médiocres. Nous avions une chambre avec vue sur l'océan. La vue depuis le balcon était magnifique. La plage est [... lire plus] la principale raison d'aller dans ce complexe. Sable blanc et frais et nous pouvions toujours trouver une palapa. Il y a beaucoup de places assises à la piscine. Excellent complexe si vous voulez vous détendre.

Amazing Beach The rooms, as per other reviews I have read are a little dated. The room service was excellent. Water and beverages replenished daily. The food at the buffet was okay. Grilled fish and omelet bar were very good. The restaurant located by the beach was very good at lunch. The service and food at dinner was sub par. We had an ocean view room. The view from the balcony was stunning. The beach is the main reason to go to this resort. Cool white sand and we could always find a palapa. Lots of seating available at the pool. Excellent resort if you want relaxation.

C'etais la cinquieme fois ! Simple, propre, tranquille, personnel accueillant et serviable. Tu veux te reposer, c'est la place. Plage extraordinaire ! Pas trop achanlandé en novembre ! Bonne bouffe, bon restaurant à la carte,
