C'était mon premier voyage, j'ai adoré l'ambiance et le personnel était exceptionnel la proximité de la plage, la nourriture était très bonne, très variée, si vous aviez faim c'était de votre faute si vous aviez faim, c'était de votre faute.

Amazing resort Really liked the ambiance in here, had a good time to relax! This place is highly recommended for our family and friends, food was amazing and service is top notch. the only drawback is the people from timeshare being too pushy, other than that it was amazing

Nous avons adoré la propreté luxueuse des lieux et des chambres avec jacuzzi, le personnel était super sympathique et désireux de plaire. Les lits auraient pu être plus confortables, mais l'expérience globale a été merveilleuse. Nous prévoyons de revenir dans deux ans environ.

Absolutely fabulous! We loved the luxurious clean grounds and rooms with jacuzzi, the staff was super friendly and eager to please. The beds could have been more comfortable however the over all experience was wonderful. We plan on returning in 2 years or so.

Nous avons passé un moment extraordinaire ! !! Nous y sommes allés pour un mariage et je ne peux pas vous dire à quel point c'était magnifique !!!! Nous reviendrons sans aucun doute ! Ma seule plainte est que le buffet principal n'est pas climatisé, donc nous n'avons jamais mangé dedans ! !! Il faisait si chaud ! !! Dans l'ensemble, cet hôtel obtient une note de 9/10 ! !!!!!!

We will be back again!!!! We had such an amazing time !!! We went for a wedding and I can’t tell you how beautiful it was!!!! We will definitely be back again ! My only complaint is that the main buffet is not air conditioned therefore we didn’t eat in it ever !!! It was that hot !!! So over all this hotel gets a 9/10 !!!!!!!

NOUS REVIENDRONS

perfect resort---fully pampered we went to this resort Nov 16-23 2018..we expected a nice beach , good service and decent food...Wow ! they surpassed all our expectations...Alex & Vera the butlers provided excellent service...you asked you received..Their ala carte restaurants were world class...The staff everywhere were accommodating and friendly...We could not ask for better WE WILL BE BACK

J'ai passé un très bon moment, l'hôtel était très bien, propre et le service était assez bon, l'aide avec les enfants dans l'ensemble était. Le vin blanc n'était pas très bon, le rouge était meilleur, nous avons dû demander presque tous les jours que le café soit réapprovisionné dans notre chambre, dans l'ensemble, je reviendrais dans ce complexe !

Lovely resort Had a great time , resort was very nice, clean and pretty good service, , help with kids overall was. Good resort , beachand pools were lovely, white wine wasnt very good, red was better, we had to ask almost daily for coffee to be replenished in our room, overall ,, i would return to this resort!

tout était super, les gens, les chambres, le terrain, la seule plainte est la nourriture, ce n'était pas chaud ! c'était seulement chaud. et c'était stupide que nous ne puissions aller que dans 3 al la carte ! la nourriture du buffet n'était pas bonne. déçu de cela, et les plages étaient couvertes d'algues, cela pourrait être dû à la météo cependant.

amazing but the food was not! everything was great, people, rooms, ground, the only complaint is the food, it was not hot! it was only warm. and it was silly that we could only go to 3 al la carte!. buffet food was not good. disappointed in that, and the beaches were covered in seaweed, that might have been the weather though.

A Great Time This resort really cares about you and do their best to ensure you have every comfort offered. The rooms are clean. The scent menu nice and I appreciated the pillow menu. We had 2 fantastic butlers named Alex and Vera who were amazingly helpful. The grounds are gorgeous. The beaches are clean with a towel and drink service. I especially enjoyed the ocean in the relatively calm man made surf break. The transportation carts offered a valuable service and the evening restaraunts served delicious food. We were extremely happy with the Baha’i Principe Akumal as our holiday destination and most definently will be back

Nous avons passé un séjour fantastique ! Les chambres sont très propres et le réfrigérateur était approvisionné tous les jours. La nourriture était excellente et il y avait beaucoup de choix différents. Le restaurant japonais était excellent. Les piscines étaient toujours propres et le service au buffet, aux bars, dans le hall, etc. était excellent. J'y retournerais sans hésiter.

Beautiful resort!! We had a fantastic stay! Rooms are very clean and fridge was stocked every day. Food was excellent & lots of different choices. Japanese restaurant was great. Pools were always clean and the service at the buffet, bars, lobby etc. was excellent. Would definitely go back.

Je me suis imprégné de toutes les vues des jardins luxuriants, des montagnes magnifiques et de la nourriture fantastique. Une expérience absolument luxueuse.

Jamaican experience Had a great time in Jamaica. Experienced everything it has to offer. Met lots of very nice people and eveyone was truly helpful. Soaked in all the views of the lush gardens, beautiful mountains and fantastic food. Absolutely an overall luxurious experience.

What a Trip! This resort left nothing of beauty, comfort, dining, and service untouched. We had such a great vacation. Everything you could ever want and more is available, always. So accommodating and created such a beautiful wedding ceremony for my friends. I’m coming back for sure!

Fantastic Trip Resort was beautiful and our superior junior suite was perfect,the beds were so cozy although I wouldn't recommend garden view because of a main road close by. The restaurants and night life were ones to remember. The pools and grounds were in top shape and the staff were the friendliest I have ever encountered

l'hôtel était très propre la nourriture était excellente le personnel est assez amical cependant, les locaux qui fréquentent la plage peuvent être TRÈS dérangeants et gênants - ils font les poches des clients et, malheureusement, la sécurité ne fait rien pour les arrêter ! tout dans cet hôtel était au ralenti... le service d'étage indique jusqu'à 45 minutes, mais il mettait beaucoup plus d'une heure à arriver... le petit déjeuner n'était pas disponible pour les lève-tôt... j'ai remarqué [... lire plus] que beaucoup de clients plus âgés se demandaient jusqu'à ce que le buffet ouvre enfin, j'ai eu un massage de 75 $ sur la plage pendant 40 minutes que j'ai payé en espèces (80 $ américains). J'ai demandé un reçu après le paiement et elle m'a dit que le comptoir à la sortie me fournirait une preuve d'achat La masseuse a quand même facturé le massage à ma chambre ! Je lui ai même donné un pourboire de 5 $ grrrr... mais le matin du départ, j'ai été retardée pour prendre le bus à l'heure, et le reste des clients a attendu que l'hôtel puisse joindre son personnel (qui était en congé) pour confirmer le paiement. J'ai eu l'impression de devoir prouver que je l'avais payée et cela m'a causé beaucoup de détresse. Finalement, l'hôtel s'est excusé et a déclaré qu'elle était nouvelle et qu'elle ne savait pas qu'il fallait signaler l'argent liquide... Elle a déclaré qu'elle croyait que je lui avais donné un pourboire... J'ai eu l'impression qu'elle avait essayé de me voler et de voler l'hôtel... Avec le recul, elle a posé beaucoup de questions sur mon itinéraire et elle s'est sentie comme une victime cependant, malgré cela, j'ai passé un très bon moment

very clean resort resort was very clean food was amazing staff somewhat friendly however the locals that cruise the beach can be VERY disruptive and a nuisance-they bagger the guests and unfortunately the security does nothing to stop them! everything in this hotel was in slow motion...room service states upto 45 mins however it would take much much longer over 1 hour to come... breakfast was not available for early risers...I noticed a lot of the older guest just wondering til buffet would open lastly...I had a $75.00 massage on the beach for 40mins which I paid for in cash($80.00American) I asked for receipt after payment and she told me the desk on check out will provide me with proof of purchase...I believed her! The masseuse billed it to my room anyway! I even tipped her $5.00 grrrr...but on check out morning I was delayed from getting on the bus on time, and the rest of the guests waited until the hotel was able to reach there staff (who was off of work) to confirm payment. I felt as though I had to prove I paid her and it caused me much distress. eventually the hotel apologized and stated that she was new and did not know to report cash...she stated that she believed I tipped her...I felt she tried to rob me and the hotel...in hindsight she asked many questions about my itinerary and felt like a victim however despite that I did have a lovely time

Le parc de l'hôtel est très beau et bien entretenu. La chambre était agréable et la salle de bains spacieuse. La nourriture était correcte. Il y avait beaucoup d'algues sur la plage et dans l'eau. L'hôtel était très propre.

Large resort The grounds of the hotel are very beautiful and well kept. The room was nice and the bathroom was large. The food was okay. The beach had major seaweed on it and in the water. The resort was very clean.

Ce complexe était bien géré, propre. Le personnel était sympathique. Les piscines étaient superbes. La plage n'était pas géniale. Elle est artificielle. Trop de rochers et trop d'algues pour moi. La nourriture était bonne au buffet. Nous n'avons pas essayé les restaurants à la carte. Le trajet en bus depuis l'aéroport a duré 90 minutes. C'est trop long pour moi, mais il n'y a pas d'autre choix.

very nice resort This resort was well run. clean. Friendly staff. pools were great. The beach was not great. It is man made. Too many rocks and too much seaweed for me. Others seemed to enjoy it. food was good at the buffet. We did not try the a la carte restaurants. The bus ride fro the airport was 90 minutes. too long for me but there is no option.

Très propre, pas de bruit ni de folie... Beaucoup de plaisir, de nouveaux amis... Nous avons apprécié notre séjour, aucun problème avec la nourriture ou la plage. Le réfrigérateur était rempli tous les jours, nous avons tous apprécié les 3 couples... Nous avons également rencontré de nouvelles amitiés !

Great memories.. Very clean, not noisy or crazy...Lots of fun,new friends..We enjoyed are stay, no issues with food or beach at all. Fridge filled daily, we all enjoyed it all 3 couples..met some new friendships out of it also !

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Magnifique complexe hôtelier MAIS optez pour la formule premium plus

Nous avions réservé en pensant bénéficier d'une formule haut de gamme, mais nous avons été très surpris à notre arrivée de nous voir refuser sans cesse l'accès aux buffets, refuser des boissons, demander de changer de coin de plage (littéralement à 2 mètres de là), refuser de nous servir au café, et même nous faire arrêter dans le chariot qui allait d'un hall à l'autre parce que nous portions le redoutable "bracelet vert"... Il nous a fallu deux jours entiers pour découvrir les avantages et les  [... lire plus]inconvénients de ce complexe hôtelier. Les lits étaient comme si nous dormions à même le sol et les oreillers étaient petits et malodorants... ce n'est pas une chambre de luxe 5 étoiles ! Mais... le complexe est grandiose et magnifique, propre, bien entretenu... très beau ! La plage est magnifique, les chariots ala’ fantastiques, le bar des sports est un excellent ajout, les divertissements au bord de la piscine sont amusants. La barrière de la langue est forte, donc la communication était difficile. Je retournerais dans ce complexe mais seulement avec un meilleur forfait... la différence dans la nourriture est énorme et l'alcool dominicain bon marché m'a donné des brûlures d'estomac pendant une semaine. Je suppose que le forfait premium me donnerait ces extras et, je l'espère, un lit plus confortable. En raison des récents changements apportés au centre de villégiature, si nous en avions eu la possibilité, nous aurions opté pour un forfait supérieur.

Beautiful resort BUT go for the premium plus package We booked expecting a premium package but were quite surprised when we had arrived and were endlessly turned away from buffets, denied drink request, asked to move to a different part of the beach (literally 6 feet away), were refused service at the cafe, and actually stopped on the trolley commuting from one lobby to another because we were wearing the dreaded “green bracelet”... it took two full days to find out the can’s and can nots of this resort. The beds were like sleeping on the floor and the pillows were small and smelly... not a real 5 star luxury room ! But... the resort is grand and gorgeous, clean, well maintained... very beautiful! The beach is beautiful, the ala’ carts fantastic, sports bar is a great addition, poolside entertainment is fun. The language barrier is strong so communication was difficult. I would go back to this resort but only with a better package... the difference in the food is huge and the cheap Dominican alcohol gave me heartburn for a week. I assume the premium package would give me these extras and hopefully a more comfortable bed. Because of the recent changes to the resort if given the option we would have upgrade to a higher package.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Complexe touristique exceptionnel

Je n'aurais pas pu demander mieux ! L'hôtel était magnifique et le personnel aussi, en particulier Emmanuela, responsable de la villa 26. Merci pour ce moment mémorable. Je recommande vivement ce complexe à tous ceux qui souhaitent passer des vacances reposantes.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: 5 étoiles de luxe

Les rénovations de l'Ambar étaient toutes terminées lorsque nous sommes arrivés le 9 novembre et il n'était rempli qu'à environ 1/4 dans le cadre de leur "ouverture en douceur" et de notre première visite en République dominicaine. Les 534 chambres pour adultes du Lux Bahai Principe Ambar font partie du complexe Bahia Principe de 5000 chambres à Punta Cana. Cependant, la conception du complexe permet aux clients d'Ambar de se sentir choyés et "protégés" du reste du complexe Bahia. Les 8 blocs [... lire plus] Ambar sont équipés de piscines au rez-de-chaussée. Les piscines offrent de l'intimité mais sont également partagées avec 7 autres chambres. Chaque bloc dispose de son propre concierge. Attention : Je ne voudrais pas d'une chambre sur le côté ouest des 4 blocs du côté ouest, car elles font face à un mur de béton laid d'environ 4 étages de haut appartenant au complexe hôtelier d'à côté. La plage de sable et l'eau sont magnifiques. La plage est profonde mais pas très large. Donc, même si l'hôtel n'était rempli qu'au quart, vous deviez poser une serviette à 6 heures du matin si vous vouliez des chaises à l'ombre au premier rang de la plage d'Ambar. Cependant, si vous n'aviez pas besoin d'être au premier rang, il y avait toujours beaucoup de chaises disponibles à la plage et à la piscine. Contrairement aux autres stations, il y avait toujours au Bahia de nombreux hommes qui ramassaient les algues sur la plage. Nous leur offrions souvent le contenu de notre mini-bar. Les autres complexes hôteliers situés sur la plage avaient souvent beaucoup d'algues. L'Ambar dispose d'un terrain magnifique et d'une superbe piscine située juste à côté de la plage. Nous avons trouvé tout le personnel sympathique et très serviable. Nous avons été agréablement surpris de trouver plus de jeunes Argentins que d'Américains :) Ma femme et moi nous considérons comme des gourmands et nous avons trouvé la qualité de la nourriture très bonne. Le caviar au petit déjeuner, ça vous dit quelque chose ? Aucune de nos réservations pour le dîner, envoyées par courriel 10 jours avant notre arrivée, n'avait été effectuée. Mais le concierge de notre bloc a pu réserver nos dîners le premier jour de notre arrivée. Le meilleur repas était au Limbo et nous avons tous les deux aimé le steak au restaurant M.E.A.T.. À part le Limbo, j'ai trouvé que la qualité de la nourriture au Buffet était aussi bonne et offrait plus de variété que les cartes à la carte. Le mardi soir est le soir des fruits de mer au buffet, qui n'avait plus de homard vers 19h45. (Pendant notre séjour, nous avons surtout bu du champagne, qui était sec et ne contenait que 5 % d'alcool. Vous pouviez vous faire livrer du champagne dans votre chambre à tout moment et il y en avait dans tous les bars et restaurants. Les vins de la maison étaient malheureusement imbuvables. Ce qui est surprenant car ils ont un sommelier très agréable et compétent. Nous avons apporté 7 bouteilles de vin avec nous et n'avons eu aucun problème à les boire au restaurant ou au buffet. Ils nous ont même offert un seau à glace pour nos vins blancs. (Toutefois, je dois mentionner que nous avons eu la chance de ne PAS être un touriste et que nos valises ont été passées aux rayons X lors du passage à la douane locale) Il est possible d'acheter du vin dans les restaurants/buffets, mais il faut payer plus de 50 $US pour obtenir une bouteille que l'on peut acheter au Canada pour 15 $CAN. Il y a un bon café à côté du hall où vous pouvez commander de très bons espressos, cappuccinos, etc. Vous pouvez également commander ces cafés au buffet auprès de votre serveur. Le Wifi était assez rapide dans la chambre et le lobby. Utilisez le réseau 1SSID_V2 car il était plus rapide que le BahiaPricipleFreeWiFibyEurona. Lorsque vous attendez votre vol de retour de Punta Cana, sachez qu'il y a deux zones d'attente gratuites à l'aéroport. L'une est bruyante et NON climatisée, l'autre, de l'autre côté des stands de nourriture, est climatisée et beaucoup plus calme. Retournerions-nous au Bahia Ambar Punta Cana ? -Certainement ! Mais nous avons été suffisamment impressionnés par Bahia Lux, nous pourrions d'abord visiter un autre complexe Bahia Lux. Nous avons confiance en votre jugement et nous réserverons certainement avec vous à l'avenir.

5 Star Luxury The Ambar renovations were all complete when we arrived Nov 9th and was only about 1/4 full as part of their 'soft opening' and our first visit to Dominican Republic. The Lux Bahai Principe Ambar's 534 Adult only rooms are part of the 5000 room Bahia Principe complex in Punta Cana. However; the design of the resort allows Ambar guests to feel very pampered and 'protected' from the rest of the Bahia resort. All 8 Ambar blocks have swim up pools on the ground floor rooms. The swim up pools offer privacy but are also shared with 7 other rooms. Each block had it own concierge. Warning: I would not want a room on the west side of the 4 blocks on the west side, as they face an ugly concrete wall that is about 4 stories high belonging to the resort next door. . The sandy beach and water were beautiful. The beach is deep but not that wide. So even though the resort was only 1/4 full you had to put a towel down at 600 am if you wanted chairs with shade in the 'front row' of the Ambar beach. However, if you did not need to be in the front row, there were always lots of chairs available at the beach and pool. Unlike the other resorts, the Bahia always had lots of guys raking any seaweed off the beach. We often 'gifted' these workers with the contents of our mini bar. The other resorts on the beach often had a lot of seaweed. The Ambar had beautiful grounds and a wonderful pool that was right beside the beach. We found all the staff, friendly and very helpful. We were pleasantly surprised to find more youngish guests form Argentina than Americans. :) My wife and I consider ourselves food lovers and found the food quality quite good. Caviar for breakfast anyone? None of our dinner reservations emailed 10 days prior to arrival had been set up. But the concierge in our Block was able to book our dinners the first day we arrived. The best meal was at the Limbo and we both liked the steak at the M.E.A.T. restaurant. Other than the LImbo I thought the food quality at the Buffet was as good and offered more variety than the a la cartes. Tuesday night is seafood night at the Buffet, which ran out of Lobster at about 745 pm. ( But some guests were grabbing 2 lobsters) During our stay we mainly drank the 'champagne' which was dry and only 5% alcohol. You could have the 'Champagne' delivered to the room at any time and it was at all the bars and restaurants. The house wines were unfortunately undrinkable. Which was surprising as they have a very pleasant and knowledgeable sommelier. We brought 7 bottles of wine with us and had no problems drinking these at the restaurant or buffet. They even offered an ice bucket for our whites. ( (However; I should mention we were lucky NOT to be a tourist to have our suitcases x-rayed when going thru local customs.) You could buy wine at the Restaurants/Buffet, but would have to pay $50US+ to get a bottle we can buy in Canada for $15 CDN. There is a nice Coffee shop beside the lobby where you could order really good espressos. cappuccinos etc. You can also order these coffees at the the Buffet from your waiter. The Wifi was quite fast in the room and lobby. Use Network 1SSID_V2 as it was faster than BahiaPricipleFreeWiFibyEurona. When waiting for the flight to return home from Punta Cana; be aware there are two free areas at the airport to wait. One is noisy and NOT air conditioned, the other, on the other-side of the food-stalls, has AC and is much quieter. Would we return to Bahia Ambar Punta Cana? -Definitely!! But we were impressed enough by Bahia Lux, we might check out another Bahia Lux resort first. Thanks so much to Tanya Smith at Trip Central for recommending another wonder vacation spot.
