Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Absolument magnifique

Je suis rentré de l'Ocean Casa Del Mar samedi dernier et j'ai été extrêmement occupé pour écrire une critique.Alors aujourd'hui j'ai eu un peu de temps.Tout d'abord je vais dire que c'est une station extraordinaire.Nous avons apprécié chaque minute de nos vacances.Même si c'est une station assez récente le terrain est absolument magnifique les jardiniers ont travaillé si dur pour faire de cet endroit un joyau.Les piscines je dirais sont extrêmement belles toujours plein de chaises.Il n'y a pas b [... lire plus]esoin de se lever tôt pour sortir sa serviette.En fait cela m'a un peu énervé un jour car j'ai vu 8 chaises occupées par des serviettes toute la journée et personne n'était là pendant tout ce temps.Il n'est pas nécessaire de se lever tôt pour sortir sa serviette, ce qui m'a rendu un peu furieux un jour où j'ai vu 8 chaises occupées par des serviettes toute la journée, alors qu'il n'y avait personne pendant tout ce temps.Vraiment, si vous y allez, assurez-vous d'être là pour profiter de la piscine.Le personnel de l'Ocean Casa Del Mar fera tout son possible pour rendre votre séjour absolument magnifique.Nous avons eu le plaisir de discuter avec quelques-uns et je peux dire que nous sommes repartis avec de bons amis.Yunier et Pape ont été incroyables dès le premier jour.Les deux autres filles du bar de la piscine ont été très gentilles avec nous.Les deux autres filles du bar de la piscine étaient également formidables. Un après-midi, alors que nous nous faisions préparer un verre, mon mari a reconnu une fille qui travaillait derrière le comptoir. Il lui a demandé où nous l'avions déjà rencontrée. Nous avons eu le plaisir de la rencontrer il y a trois ans dans un autre hôtel. Bravo à Ocean Casa Del Mar d'avoir trouvé une personne aussi exceptionnelle pour travailler avec vous. Elle est absolument merveilleuse (Yireni Rodriquez). Votre personnel fait en sorte que cet endroit se sente vraiment comme à la maison.La nourriture était délicieuse, nous n'avons jamais eu faim. La plage est magnifique et il y a beaucoup de place pour tout le monde. L'équipe de divertissement était absolument merveilleuse aussi, ils aiment vraiment faire participer les gens aux activités, j'ai eu le plaisir d'y participer, c'était un après-midi formidable. Je pourrais continuer encore et encore, alors si vous cherchez un lieu de vacances idéal, Ocean Casa Del Mar est l'endroit où il faut aller, vous vous sentirez vraiment chez vous. Nous avons déjà décidé que nous reviendrons l'année prochaine.

Absolutely stunning Got home from Ocean Cass del Mar last sat and have been extremely busy to write a review .So today I had some time first off I'm gonna say this is an amazing resort .We enjoyed every min of our vacation .Even though this is a fairly new resort the grounds are absolutely beautiful the gardeners have worked so hard to make this place a gem .The pools I'd say are extremely beautiful always plenty of chairs to be had .Their is no need to get up early and put your towel out .Actually made me kinda mad one day as I seen 8 chairs being taken by towels all day and no one their the whole time .Really if your gonna to this make sure your their to enjoy the pool .The stafff at Ocean Casa Del Mar will go out of their way to make your stay absolutely stunning .We got the pleasure to chat with a few and I can say we walked away with some good friends .Yunier and Pape were amazing right from day one .The other 2 girls at the pool bar were amazing as well .One afternoon we were getting a drink made and my husband recognized a girl working behind the counter he says where have we meet her before we'll be had the pleasure of meeting her 3 years ago at another resort .Way to go Ocean Casa Del Mar for getting such an outstanding person to come work you she is absolutely wonderful ( Yireni Rodriquez ).Your staff make this place really feel like home .The food was delicious we never went Hungary .The beach is stunning and plenty of room for everyone .The entertainment team was absolutely wonderful as well they sure like to get people involved in the activities I had the pleasure of participating it was a great afternoon .I could go on and on ,so folks if your looking for a great vacation spot Ocean Casa Del Mar is the place to go you will feel like your truly at home .We have already decided that we will be returning next year .

Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Belle escapade

Le Golden Tulip à Cayo Santa Maria était un endroit magnifique pour passer nos vacances. Le personnel était très charmant, le terrain était bien entretenu et la nourriture était excellente (si l'on considère que ce n'est pas sur la liste de contrôle pour Cuba). Le buffet était meilleur que les plats à la carte ! La plage était magnifique bien sûr, les chambres étaient propres et le réfrigérateur était approvisionné tous les jours ! Beautiful getaway The Golden Tulip in Cayo Santa Maria was a beautiful place to spend our vacation. The staff were very lovely, the grounds were well kept, and the food was great (considering thats not on the checklist for Cuba). Buffet was better than the a la cartes! Beach was beautiful of course, rooms were clean, and the fridge was stocked daily! After thoughts, more pool/beach activities would be nice, just a little night life would be a hit!

Resonance Blu Santa Maria: BEAUCOUP D'INFORMATIONS SUR L'ALIMENTATION

Ok, parlons un peu de cet endroit magnifique ! La plage est 100% fabuleuse ! Mon lit était dur comme le sont les lits de Cuba dans tout le pays. J'ai apporté un petit matelas pneumatique qui ne pèse que 3 livres ; un bon investissement. La chambre était propre et lumineuse, avec l'air conditionné, un réfrigérateur, une belle armoire et une douche convenable. Maintenant, la nourriture ; j'entends toujours parler de la nourriture....vraiment ? C'est un buffet avec TELLEMENT de choix. N'ayez pas p [... lire plus]eur de sortir des sentiers battus, ils vous y encouragent. Apportez vos poivrons frais et votre fromage au responsable des pâtes... préparez votre propre plat... soyez créatifs ! J'ai adoré préparer le petit-déjeuner : des sandwichs au bacon et à la tomate grillés avec leur délicieuse mayonnaise, auxquels j'ajoutais parfois un œuf au plat pour un délice désordonné. Le bar à salades était EXTRAORDINAIRE... j'ai fait ma propre vinaigrette au fromage bleu (mayo et fromage bleu). Ne soyez pas timide ! Ne vous inquiétez pas d'aller à Starfish Cayo Santa Maria... nous l'avons ADORÉ

LOTS OF INFO ABOUT FOOD Ok so let's talk about this beautiful place! Beach 100% fabulous! My bed was hard as Cuba beds are all over the country. I bring a small air mattress weighs only 3 lbs; a good investment. Room was clean and bright with A/C, fridge, nice closet and a decent shower. Now FOOD; I always hear about the food....really? It's a buffet with SO many choices. Don't be afraid to think out of the box, they encourage it. Bring those fresh peppers and cheese over to the pasta man...make your own dish...be creative! I Loved making breakfast; toasted bacon and tomato sandwiches with their yummy mayo, sometimes I added a fried egg for a messy delight. The salad bar was AWESOME...I made my own blue cheese dressing (mayo and blue cheese). Don't be shy! Don't worry about going to Starfish Cayo Santa Maria...we LOVED IT☺

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Station agréable, mais qui a besoin d'améliorations

Mon mari et moi avons séjourné à l'Ocean Casa del Mar du 31 mars au 11 avril 2017. La première impression était que ce complexe hôtelier avait tout ce que nous recherchions. Son assez nouveau et le lobby était spacieux, lumineux et avait une vue sur l'eau, très pittoresque. Lorsque nous avons réservé notre voyage, on nous a dit que nous avions le "paquet privilège" qui nous donnait certains avantages. Sympa ! Lorsque nous sommes arrivés à l'hôtel, on nous a dit d'aller dans la file d'attente " [... lire plus]privilège", que ce serait plus rapide. Faux, c'était le chaos total. Les personnes chargées de l'enregistrement n'avaient aucune idée de l'endroit où se trouvaient certaines de nos informations d'enregistrement, elles ne pouvaient pas trouver nos paquets avec nos clés. Enfin, après environ une heure d'attente, nous sommes arrivés dans notre chambre et nous n'avions pas de douche. Apparemment, les chambres "privilèges" ont des baignoires jacuzzi mais pas de douche. Nous nous sommes plaints et ils nous ont finalement donné une nouvelle chambre avec une douche, ce qui était très bien, mais il y avait une fuite dans le placard et après 3 jours de plaintes à propos de la fuite, ils nous ont changé de chambre. Nous n'avions pas d'eau chaude et le sèche-cheveux m'a brûlé. Il leur a fallu un certain temps pour résoudre le problème et notre réfrigérateur est resté complètement vide pendant 3 jours. J'ai dû demander à notre femme de chambre si je pouvais avoir de l'eau et elle me l'a fournie. Le vendredi 7 avril, j'étais dans ma chambre à 23h40, au lit, lorsque j'ai entendu des clients arriver dans le couloir et s'arrêter juste devant ma porte, où ils ont pu entrer avec une clé que la réception leur avait donnée. Imaginez ma surprise ! Mes clés ne fonctionnaient plus et le lendemain matin, la réception m'a dit que j'avais "quitté l'hôtel". Comment aurais-je pu partir si j'étais censé rester jusqu'au mardi 11 avril ? Ils m'ont donné de nouvelles clés et ne se sont jamais excusés ni ne nous ont accueillis avec un sourire. J'ai raconté notre expérience à la représentante de Hola Sun, qui s'est excusée et a essayé de voir si elle pouvait rectifier certains problèmes, mais il y a des limites à ce qu'elle peut faire. La représentante de Hola Sun m'a dit que c'était la direction qui était le problème dans ce complexe et je suis d'accord avec elle. Avant d'envisager de retourner dans ce complexe, il faudrait me rassurer sur le fait qu'il est sous une nouvelle direction. La nourriture était bonne et les restaurants à la carte étaient également bons. Les serveurs étaient très aimables et courtois. Les chambres étaient propres et le terrain bien entretenu. Il y a beaucoup de places assises dans le hall et autour des piscines. La plage est superbe ! J'ai des sentiments mitigés à l'égard de ce centre de villégiature en raison de mon expérience et du fait que le privilège ne signifiait pas grand-chose. On n'a jamais vraiment expliqué ce qui était inclus dans le package privilège et l'équipe de gestion n'avait aucune idée de ce qu'il fallait nous dire. Si quelqu'un décide d'aller dans ce centre de villégiature, assurez-vous de demander une chambre avec une douche et tout ce que vous exigez au moment de la réservation pour vous épargner bien des tracas.

Nice resort, but needs improvements My husband and I stayed at the Ocean Casa del Mar from March 31-April 11, 2017. First impression was that this resort had everything we were looking for. Its fairly new and lobby was spacious, bright and had a view of the water, very picturesque. When we booked our trip we were told we had the "Privilege package" which gave us certain perks. Nice! Well when we got to the resort we were told to go to the "privilege" line up that it would be quicker. Wrong, it was total chaos. The people checking us in had no idea where some of our check in information was, they could not find our packages with our keys. Finally after about an hour or so of waiting we get to our room and we didn't have a shower. Apparently the "privilege" rooms have jacuzzi tubs and no shower. We complained and they finally gave us a new room with a shower which was great but we had a leak in the closet and after 3 days of complaining about the leak they changed us to another room. We had no hot water and the hairdryer burnt out on me. It took them quite a while to resolve the issue and our fridge was completely empty for 3 days. I had to ask our maid if I could get some water and she supplied it for me. By Friday April 7th I was in my room at 11:40pm in bed when I heard some guests coming down the hall and stopped right at my door and were able to get in with a key that reception had issued them. Imagine my surprise!!! My keys no longer worked and the next morning reception told me that I had "checked out". How could I have checked out if I was suppose to be there till Tuesday April 11th. They issued me new keys and never apologized or greeted us with a smile. I told our Hola Sun rep. about our experience and she was very apologetic and tried to see if she could rectify some of the issues but there is only so much she can do. The Hola Sun rep. did tell me that the management people are the issue at the resort and I have to agree. Before I would even think about going back to this resort, I would have to be reassured that it is under new management. The food was good and the a la carte restaurants were also good. The servers were quite friendly and courteous. The rooms were clean and the grounds were well kept. lots of seating areas in the lobby and around the pools. The beach is great! I have mixed emotions about this resort because of my experience and privilege really didn't mean a whole lot there. It was never really explained what was included in the privilege package and the management team had no clue as to what to tell us. If someone decides to go to this resort, make sure you ask for a room with a shower and whatever else you make require at the time of booking to save a whole lot of grief.

Nous revenons d'une semaine à l'Oceans Casa Del Mar à Cayo Santa Maria. Je ne peux pas donner à ce centre de villégiature le même appui retentissant que j'ai donné à d'autres centres de villégiature Oceans. Du côté négatif : - J'ai trouvé la nourriture extrêmement décevante, surtout en comparaison avec le centre de villégiature Oceans à Veradero. Je ne suis pas difficile, mais j'ai trouvé que le buffet et les plats à la carte n'étaient pas attrayants et, parfois, m'ont complètement découra [... lire plus]gé de manger. - Le système d'accès aux restaurants à la carte est ridicule. Il est déjà assez pénible de ne pas pouvoir planifier une heure pour manger et faire une réservation. Lorsque vous faites la queue et obtenez une table, vous avez le sentiment désagréable que les gens font la queue pour obtenir la place suivante, et qu'ils regardent parfois par les fenêtres pour voir si quelque chose se libère. Fermer les portes et laisser les clients à l'extérieur en se demandant ce qui se passe n'est pas la meilleure façon d'offrir un repas satisfaisant. - D'une manière générale, j'ai eu l'impression que le service était médiocre dans l'ensemble du complexe. Très peu de membres du personnel ont fait l'effort supplémentaire de s'engager avec les clients. En particulier, de nombreux barmans donnaient l'impression que vous les dérangiez en demandant un verre. Il y avait quelques exceptions, en particulier les serveurs du café Mike's, mais en général, l'expérience des relations avec le personnel était tellement différente et tellement moins agréable que dans d'autres stations, que j'en ai été choqué. Du côté positif, il y a quelques points : - En tant que personne à la peau pâle qui se brûle facilement, j'ai été ravie de voir qu'il y avait beaucoup de chaises longues à l'ombre, tant à la piscine qu'à la plage. Ce n'est pas souvent le cas partout où je vais et c'était vraiment appréciable. -La qualité des divertissements auxquels nous avons assisté était excellente. La danse était incroyable, en particulier le spectacle de Michal Jackson. Les artistes ont beaucoup de talent et les spectacles que nous avons vus étaient excellents.

Mixed feelings about this one We just returned from one week at the Oceans Casa Del Mar in Cayo Santa Maria. I can't give this resort the same resounding endorsement that I have given to other Oceans resorts though. On the negative side: - I found the food to be extremely disappointing, particularly in comparison to the Oceans resort in Veradero. I am not a picky eater but I found the buffet and the a la carte offerings were unappealing and at times, put me off food completely. - The system for accessing the a la carte restaurants is ridiculous. It is bad enough to not be able to plan a time to eat and make a reservation. When you do stand in line and get a table, you have the uncomfortable feeling of people lining up to get the next seat, sometimes peering through the windows to see if anything is opening up. Locking the doors and leaving guests outside wondering what is happening is not the way to deliver a satisfying meal experience. - In general, I felt the service was sub-par across the whole resort. Very few members of the staff made the extra effort to engage with the guests. In particular, many of the bartenders gave the impression that you were inconveniencing them by asking for a drink. There were a few exceptions, particularly the servers at Mike's coffee bar but in general, the experience of dealing with the staff was so different and so much less pleasant than other resorts, I was shocked. On the positive side, there were a few things: - As a pale skinned person who burns easily, I was thrilled to see plenty of loungers available with ample shade at both the pool and the beach. This is not often the case anywhere I go and it was really appreciated. -The quality of the entertainment that we took in was excellent. The dancing far amazing, particularly the Michal Jackson show. The performers have a lot of talent and the shows we saw were great.

Memories Paraiso: Magnifique centre de villégiature !

Je viens de passer une semaine au Memories Sanctuary Diamond Club à Cayo Santa Maria et c'était spectaculaire ! Tout était parfait😠Tout le personnel était extraordinaire, très amical et toujours prêt à aider de quelque manière que ce soit si nécessaire ! Ma chambre a été gardée très propre, et lors de ma dernière soirée, en retournant dans ma chambre pour me préparer pour le repas du soir, mon majordome m'a dessiné un magnifique bain moussant rempli de fleurs fraîches en guise de surprise d' [... lire plus]adieu !!! Très touchant. La nourriture était excellente, j'ai été agréablement surprise après avoir lu de mauvaises critiques. Et la plage était la plus belle que j'ai jamais vue. L'eau était d'un turquoise magnifique et le sable était comme de la poudre de bébé ! La piscine était également magnifique et très propre. Il y avait des chariots disponibles pour vous emmener partout où vous vouliez aller, au marché, etc. Le terrain était très propre et les fleurs étaient magnifiques. Il y avait des barbecues au bord de la piscine et sur la plage, avec des plats délicieux ! Le complexe proposait également des animations au bord de la piscine plusieurs fois par jour pour le divertissement des clients. Le seul inconvénient de mes vacances .... est que j'ai dû partir¤ï¸.

Beautiful Resort! I just recently spent a week at the Memories Sanctuary Diamond Club in Cayo Santa Maria and it was spectacular!! Everything was perfect😁 All staff were amazing, very friendly and always waiting to assist in any way possible if needed! My room was kept very clean, and on my last evening there on returning to my room to get ready for the evening meal, my butler had drawn me a beautiful bubble bath filled with fresh flowers as a goodbye surprise!! Very touching. The food was great, I was pleasantly surprised after reading some bad reviews. And the beach was the most amazing beach I have ever seen. The water was a beautiful turquoise and the sand was like baby powder!! The pool was also beautiful, and kept very clean. There were trolleys available to take you anywheres you chose to go, to the market, etc. The grounds were kept very clean and the flowers were beautiful. There were barbecue huts poolside and on the beach with amazing food! The resort also had poolside entertainment several times a day for the guests entertainment. The only downside to my whole vacation.... is that I had to leave❤️.

Valentin Perla Blanca: Une heure étonnante

C'était un lieu de villégiature magnifique, l'un de mes voyages préférés ! J'avais des doutes sur Cuba, mais j'ai fait une bonne affaire et j'ai l'intention d'y retourner maintenant ! Le personnel est extraordinaire et a rendu l'expérience encore plus agréable. La nourriture préparée sur place dans les buffets et les cartes à la carte était incroyable, mais j'éviterais la nourriture qui reste dans le buffet toute la journée car elle est un peu froide. Les chambres étaient superbes, surtout avec  [... lire plus]la climatisation. Je reviendrai bientôt !

Amazing Time This was a beautiful resort, one of my favourite trips! I was iffy about Cuba, but got a good deal and definitely plan on going back now! The staff are amazing and made it that much of a better experience. The food that is prepared on the spot in the buffets and the a la cartes was amazing, I would stay away from the food that sits in the buffet all day as if is a little cold. Rooms were great, especially with AC. Will be back soon!

J'y suis allée le week-end du 7 avril. Je savais qu'il y avait un long trajet en bus, que c'était une grande station balnéaire et qu'elle était assez isolée. C'est un endroit idéal pour se détendre, mais il n'y a pas grand-chose à faire car on est très isolé. L'hôtel est assez grand, il faut beaucoup marcher. Les plats à la carte étaient très bons, le buffet un peu moins. Je le recommande à tous ceux qui veulent se détendre et profiter de la plage. I went here the weekend of April 7th. I knew going in that it was long bus ride, that it is a big resort and it's pretty secluded. its a great place to relax but not much to do as your epretty secluded. The hotel is pretty big, lots of walking. The ala cartes were very good, the Buffett not so much. I'd recommend to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy the beach. Not for the adventurous type as you're pretty secluded

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Excellent centre de villégiature

Notre séjour au Sanctuary at Memories a été des plus agréables. L'hôtel était très propre et même si des travaux de construction étaient en cours pendant notre séjour, cela n'a pas affecté notre plaisir. La plage est fabuleuse ! La plage est très longue et sablonneuse et il est agréable de s'y promener. La piscine est également très agréable. Le buffet était d'un niveau relativement bon pour Cuba, tout comme les différents restaurants. Il était très propre et le personnel au sol a trava [... lire plus]illé très dur pour le maintenir dans cet état. Le personnel de l'hôtel était également très bon et notre service de "majordome" avec Marlon était formidable, il était si gentil et accommodant. Nous avons trouvé que les attractions nocturnes manquaient un peu d'intérêt et qu'elles étaient terminées très rapidement. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances et nous reviendrons certainement dans ce complexe.

Excellent Resort Our stay at Sanctuary at Memories was most enjoyable. The Hotel was very clean and while some construction was going on during our stay to some accommodation it did not affect our enjoyment of the place. The Beach is Fab! Very long sandy beach and great for walking along. The Pool was also very nice. The Buffet was a relatively good standard for Cuba as were the individual restaurants. It was very clean and the ground staff worked very hard to keep it like that. The Hotel staff were also very good and our 'Butler' service with Marlon was great he was so lovely and accommodating. Did feel the night time attractions lacked somewhat and were over and done with very quickly. All in all we had a great holiday and would for sure return to this resort.

Les parties communes et les chambres sont très agréables, avec de nombreux petits coins où l'on peut s'asseoir confortablement pour se détendre. Le service dans les bars et les restaurants était très bon. Je n'ai pas aimé les files d'attente pour les restaurants à la carte, longues et inefficaces. Le service clientèle était un cauchemar, la réponse habituelle était " désolé, je suis nouveau " ! le service clientèle privé était encore pire, la dame continuait à entrer des données sur son ordinate [... lire plus]ur, nous n'étions pas sûrs qu'elle avait entendu notre demande ! Le mieux est d'aller au comptoir d'Air Transat pour tout problème, très serviable et efficace ! Dans l'ensemble, les bâtiments et le service sont très bons, mais la plage et la nourriture sont assez médiocres, même pour Cuba !

Good Value The public areas and rooms were very nice, lots of little nooks with comfortable seating to relax. Service at the bars and restaurants was very good. Did not like the lining up for the a la carte restaurants, long lines and inefficient handling. Customer service was a nightmare, the stock answer was " sorry, I'm new " ! the privledge customer service was even worse, the lady just continued inputting on her computer, we weren't sure whether she heard our request ! Best to go to the Air Transat desk for any issues, very helpful and effecient ! Overall buildings and service very good but beach and food quite poor even for Cuba !

Melia Las Dunas: Un grand centre de villégiature !

Nous avons passé 2 semaines au Melia Las Dunas avec 2 autres couples. C'était la première fois que nous allions dans ce complexe, mais nous sommes allés dans de nombreux autres complexes à Cuba et en République dominicaine. Nous n'avons eu aucun problème pendant les deux semaines. Nous avons contacté le resort avant de partir et avons demandé 3 chambres côte à côte dans la zone 48-49 et nous l'avons obtenu. Nous sommes allés au Romanica, au restaurant italien, au restaurant de pizzas et au resta [... lire plus]urant de fruits de mer Ala Cartes. Les fruits de mer étaient bons, mais il n'y avait pas de choix de plats différents. Le restaurant italien était super, mais la serveuse n'était pas la meilleure. Les deux autres étaient excellents. Le personnel était partout formidable, amical et désireux de vous faire plaisir. Le complexe est vieillot, mais ils dépensent de l'argent pour le moderniser. La plage est superbe, il y a beaucoup de chaises et le personnel est là pour vous en procurer si vous n'en trouvez pas. Je recommande vivement ce centre de villégiature et j'ai lu quelques commentaires peu élogieux à son sujet et je ne comprends pas comment ils ont pu le qualifier d'insatisfaisant. Je dirai que le voyage vers le centre de villégiature via Air Transat n'a pas été bon. Nous avons été retardés de 2 heures et demie à Halifax à cause d'un avion défectueux. Il n'y a pas eu d'excuses pour cela, bien que je comprenne qu'il n'y avait rien à faire, et certains membres du personnel de bord n'ont pas été très aimables pendant le vol. Ils n'ont même pas offert une bière gratuite, etc. parce que nous étions en retard. Air Transat n'offre plus de biscuits, de cookies, etc. gratuitement sur ses vols. A great resort! We spent 2 weeks at the Melia Las Dunas along with 2 other couples. First time at this resort, but have been to many other resorts in Cuba and Dominican. We did not have an issue with anything the entire two weeks. We contacted the resort before going and asked for 3 rooms sise by side n the 48-49 area and we got it. We went to the Romanica, Italian, Pizza and seafood Ala cartes. The seafood was good, but no choices for different dishes. The Italian was great, but the waitress was not the best. Other two were great. The staff everywhere were great, friendly and there to please you. The resort is dated, but they are spending money to bring it up. Great beach with lots of chairs and staff to get you chairs if you can't find them. I highly recommend this resort and I have read a couple not so great reviews on it and it baffles me as to how they could rate it not great. I will say that the trip to the resort via Air Transat was not good. We were delayed 2 and a half hours in Halifax because of a faulty plane. There was not an apology for this although I realize it could not be helped and the some of the flight staff were not very friendly during the flight. They did not even offer a free beer etc because we were late. Air Transat no longer offers biscuits, cookies etc free either on there flights. It shows they are in it for the money and don't care about their customers.The flight back was very good though.

Valentin Perla Blanca: J'ai passé l'une des meilleures vacances.

Le Valentin Parla Blanca C'était tout ce que j'avais demandé pour mes vacances à Cuba en 2017. La chambre était aussi bien que toutes celles où je suis allé. Le personnel de service était toujours là pour aider. Les petits pourboires étaient grandement appréciés avec de grands sourires et un remerciement. Je suis une personne positive et le karma positif m'a été rendu dix fois plus fort. Notre dernier coucher de soleil de ces vacances sera vu une autre fois

Had one of the best holidays. The Valentin Parla Blanca Was everything I asked for in my 2017 holiday to Cuba. The room was as good as any I've been to. The service staff was always there to help. The small tips where greatly apriciatied with big smiles and a thank you. I am a positive person and the positive Karma came back ten fold. Our last sun set this holiday will be seen another time

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Il vaut la peine de payer chaque centime !

Complexe hôtelier bien entretenu appartenant à des Cubains. La nourriture est exceptionnellement bonne et variée pour tout le monde. Personne ne mange mieux, même à la maison, avec peu de compréhension du peuple cubain et des habitudes cubaines. Comme dans tous les hôtels cubains, ils sont un peu ignorants pour ce qui est des commandes au bar de la réception, mais la raison en est qu'il faut leur donner des pourboires en permanence et que ce sont ces personnes qui gagnent exceptionnellement de l [... lire plus]'argent pour la société cubaine - oui, ces personnes sont devenues un peu "occidentalisées" et si vous ne leur donnez pas de pourboire, le service sera médiocre ! Ils devraient être remplacés par d'autres personnes qui travaillent dur dans le centre de villégiature et nous serions beaucoup plus reconnaissants envers nous, les clients - c'est mon opinion personnelle ! Je voulais aller à la pêche en haute mer pour ($80) CUC 80/personne, mais l'organisation du représentant de Sunwing a été très mauvaise, sans aucune compréhension, suivant une règle simple qui veut qu'ils doivent remplir les 4 places sur un bateau en même temps, sinon ils ne peuvent pas et ne veulent pas chercher d'autres personnes intéressées pour vous. Cela m'a laissé le choix de payer ($US) 400 CUC par moi-même ou d'attendre 7 jours pour que Sunwing agisse, et de rentrer chez moi sans possibilité d'aller pêcher en haute mer - ce qui m'est exactement arrivé. Très très déçu ! !??

Well worth every penny paid for !! Well maintained Cuban owned Resort. Food is exceptionally good with variety of food for everyone. No one eats better even at home, with little understanding to Cuban people and Cuban habits. As any Cuban resort they are a bit ignorant for orders in a reception bar, but reason lies in tipping them constantly and because those are the people making exceptional kind of money for Cuban society - Yes those people have become a little "westernised" and if you don't tip them there will be poor service ! They should be rotated with other hard working people inside resort and it would be much more appreciation of us a guests - my personal opinion ! Wanted to go to Deep Sea Fishing for ($80) CUC 80/per person, but organisation of Sunwing Representative was very very poor with No Understanding at all , following a simple rule of theirs that they have to fill all 4 spots on a boat all at once, or otherwise they can NOT and they are NOT willing to search for you for other interested party . It left me with choice to pay ($US) CUC400 on my own or wait for 7 days for Sunwing action, and go home without possibility of going to deep sea fishing at all - which excactly happened to me . Very Very dissapointed with that !!??

Melia Las Dunas: Il s'agit d'une station agréable.

C'est un très grand complexe.Tout d'abord, le personnel est formidable.Notre femme de chambre a gardé notre chambre très propre, le climatiseur fonctionnait bien.Les lits sont très durs.On pourrait investir dans des matelas plus souples.Le lobby avait des divertissements tous les soirs.La nourriture était bonne pour Cuba.Il y a des marchés de chaque côté du complexe, l'un à distance de marche et l'autre à dix minutes de taxi.Les hêtres sont magnifiques, beaucoup de sable blanc.L'enregistrement a [... lire plus] été un jeu d'enfant, les gens sont si gentils et amicaux. Le trajet jusqu'à la station a été une expérience d'apprentissage. Je recommanderai cette station à mes amis.

This is a nice resort. This is a very large resort.First the staff are amazing our maid kept our room very clean, air conditioner worked well.The beds are very hard could invest in softer mattresses.The lobby had entertainment every night the food was good for Cuba.There are markets on either side of the resort one within walking distance and the other a ten minute taxi drive.The beeches are beautiful lots of white sand.Check in was a breeze the people are so nice and friendly. The drive to the resort was a learning experience.I will recommend this resort to my friends.

Grand Memories Santa Maria: Belle station balnéaire

Tout était vraiment bien sauf la connexion internet complètement merdique, personnel super sympathique et serviable. Les plages sont magnifiques, c'est le moins que l'on puisse dire. La nourriture était bonne même pour un mangeur difficile comme moi. Dans l'ensemble, je recommande l'hôtel.

Nice resort Everything was really good except the internet connection complete crap, super friendly and helpful staff. Beaches are beautiful to say the least. Food was good even for a picky eater like myself. All in all i would recommend.

Memories Paraiso: La station balnéaire est géniale, le vol l'est moins

Le centre de villégiature était fantastique. Le personnel était toujours présent lorsque vous aviez besoin de quelque chose et il était très gentil et serviable. Tout était très pratique. Le terrain était magnifique et très bien entretenu. Je n'avais jamais vu une aussi belle plage auparavant. Elle était très bien entretenue et des employés étaient là pour vous apporter ce que vous vouliez au bar. J'y retournerai sans aucun doute. J'aimerais juste ne pas avoir à prendre l'avion à Toronto  [... lire plus]et je ne prendrais pas l'avion d'Air Canada Rouge, mais je retournerais certainement au Memories Paraiso Azul.

Resort great, Flight not so much The resort was fantastic. The staff were always there wThen you needed something and very kind and helpful. Everything was very convenient. The grounds were beautiful and very well kept. I have never seen such a beautiful beach before. It was very well kept and there were employees that would get you anything from the bar. I would definitely go back. I just wish I didn't have to fly out of Toronto and I would not fly Air Canada Rouge but I would definitely go back to Memories Paraiso Azul.

Resonance Blu Santa Maria: Un bon complexe pour le prix

Le resort est un peu usé mais il correspondait à ce que nous attendions. Le prix en vaut la peine. Très bon service. Les plages doivent être les meilleures du monde. Des excursions amusantes et peu coûteuses étaient disponibles. Marché agréable avec un excellent steakhouse. La musique répétitive était un peu ennuyeuse.

Good resort for the price Resort is a little bit worn down but it was what we were expecting. Well worth the money. Great service. Beaches have to be the best in the world. Fun and inexpensive excursions were available. Nice market with a great steakhouse. The repetitive music was a bit annoying.

Melia Las Dunas: Incroyable

Ce centre de villégiature était formidable. C'est la deuxième fois que nous y allons. Le personnel est formidable. Les toilettes de la piscine sont parfois un peu défectueuses. Mais si quelqu'un se plaint, qu'il aille dans un autre centre de villégiature. La seule plainte concernait le transport aérien à l'aller, oui nous avons été retardés mais la météo était un problème MAIS les agents de la section R2 au retour, cette fille était impolie, ne souriait jamais après avoir été sur le tarmac pend [... lire plus]ant plus de trois heures dans un avion chaud, vous pensez qu'un verre d'eau aurait été agréable, elle devrait prendre sa retraite, elle n'aimait certainement pas son travail Au retour, ils n'ont pas pu être plus gentils Merveilleuses vacances

Amazing This resort was great. Our second time there. Staff wonderful. Bathroom at pool area a little off at times. But anyone that complains they should go to another resort. Only complaint was air transit going there yes we were delayed but weather was an issue BUT attendants in section R2 going down that girl was rude never smiled after being on Tarmac for over three hours on hot plane u think a glass of water would have been nice she should retire she certainly didn't like her job Returning they couldn't be any nicer Wonderful vacation

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Déçu

Avantages : A l'exception des zones rocheuses, la plage est magnifique. L'eau est d'un bleu limpide. Les piscines sont agréables L'équipe d'animation était géniale pendant la journée et les spectacles du soir aussi La nuit de Cuba était amusante, avec le traditionnel barbecue de porc et les churros Nous avons été surclassés dans une chambre avec vue sur l'océan Inconvénients : La nourriture était terrible, même pour les standards de Cuba. C'était notre troisième séjour à Cuba et n [... lire plus]ous n'avions jamais eu à nous plaindre de la nourriture jusqu'à présent. Le buffet était le même tous les jours. Les légumes étaient pâteux et sans goût. La nourriture au snack-bar de la piscine arrive froide. Le restaurant de fruits de mer à la carte avait des crevettes au menu, mais il n'y en avait pas de toute la semaine. Nous avons été surclassés en Privilège mais toutes les chambres du bâtiment Privilège ont des baignoires Jacuzzi mais PAS de DOUCHE. Les algues sur la plage restent là pendant des jours sans être ratissées. Les chaises longues sont en plastique dur sans coussin et ne sont jamais nettoyées à la piscine. Et bien qu'il y ait eu des exceptions (le serveur du snack-bar, le personnel de ménage en charge de notre chambre, certains serveurs du buffet)... la plupart du temps, le personnel n'est pas amical. Contrairement à tant d'autres complexes hôteliers que j'ai visités dans les Caraïbes et dans le Sud, il n'y a aucun sentiment de chaleur ou d'hospitalité. La plupart des jeunes employés ont l'air de s'ennuyer et même d'être agacés lorsque vous leur demandez quelque chose. Pour cette seule raison, je ne séjournerai plus jamais dans un établissement H10 Ocean. Il est également difficile de trouver quelqu'un qui parle anglais, même parmi les managers. C'est un 3 étoiles au mieux. Vous pouvez trouver mieux à Cuba.

Disappointed Pros: With the exception of the rocky areas...beach is beautiful. Clear blue water. Pools are nice Entertainment team was great during the day and the evening shows too Cuba Night was fun, traditional pork bbq and churros We were upgraded to a room with ocean view Cons: Food was terrible even for Cuba standards. This was our third time to Cuba and we've never had complaints about the food until now. The buffet was the same every single day. Vegetables were mushy and tasteless. Food at the pool snack bar arrives cold. The Seafood a la carte restaurant had shrimp on the menu but they had no shrimp all week. We were upgraded to Privilege but all the rooms in the Privilege building have Jacuzzi tubs but NO SHOWER. The seaweed on the beach sits there for days without being raked. The lounge chairs are the hard plastic with no pads and they are never wiped down at the pool. And while there were certainly exceptions (server at the snack bar, housekeeping staff in charge of our room, some of the buffet servers)...for the most part the staff are unfriendly. Unlike so many other resorts I've visited all over the Caribbean and the South, there is no feeling of warmth or hospitality. Many of the younger staff look bored and even annoyed when you ask them for something. For this reason alone I will never stay at an H10 Ocean property again. It's also tough to find anyone who speaks English, even among managers. This is a 3 star at best. You can find better in Cuba.

Resonance Blu Santa Maria: Un endroit magnifique

C'est la troisième fois que je vais à Cuba et cet hôtel était merveilleux. Nous avions la meilleure plage de tous les hôtels proches. Elle n'était pas très fréquentée et nous avions toujours une cabine ombragée chaque jour. Le personnel était merveilleux, tout le monde était si gentil et serviable. La nourriture était très bonne, j'ai entendu quelques personnes s'en plaindre mais je n'ai eu aucun problème avec elle, tout était bien cuisiné et avait un goût merveilleux ! Je recommanderais cet  [... lire plus]hôtel à toute personne souhaitant se rendre à Cuba !

Beautiful place This is the third time I have been in Cuba and this hotel was wonderful. We had the best beach out of all the close hotels. It was not very busy so we always got a shaded hut every day. The staff was wonderful, everybody was so nice and helpful. The food was very good, I heard a few people complain about it but I did not have any problems with it, it was all cooked well and tasted wonderful! I would reccomend this hotel to anyone looking to go to Cuba!
