Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Grandes vacances

Le complexe se trouve à environ une heure et demie de l'aéroport. L'hôtel est magnifique et la nourriture est excellente. Nous avons essayé plusieurs restaurants à la carte, Fruitas del Mar, Le Gourmet et Mexican (à Tulum) et ils étaient tous excellents. Le personnel fait tout ce qu'il peut pour s'assurer que vous avez ce que vous voulez ou ce dont vous avez besoin. Il vous salue toujours avec le sourire. Nous avons assisté au dîner et au spectacle de Feista à l'Hacienda et c'était excellen [... lire plus]t. Nous avons également fait l'excursion à la bijouterie et à l'usine de tequila, puis à Playa del Carmen, c'était une belle sortie offerte gratuitement par l'hôtel. Merci pour la grande hospitalité de Bahia.

Great Vacation The resort is about 1.5 hours from the airport. The resort was beautiful, food was great. We tried several a la carte restaurants, Fruitas del Mar, Le Gourmet and Mexican (at Tulum) and they were all excellent. The staff go out of their way to make sure you have what you need/want. Always saying hello with a smile. We went to the dinner and show for Feista at the Hacienda and it was excellent. We also took the trip to the jewellery and tequila factory and then into Playa del Carmen, it was a great outing provided by the resort at no charge. Thank you for all the great hospitality provided by Bahia.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Un centre de villégiature extraordinaire !

Le complexe est très fréquenté, occupé à 100%. Il n'y avait pas de chambre avec un grand lit. J'ai dû prendre une chambre avec 2 lits doubles. Ils m'ont proposé de m'installer dans une chambre avec un grand lit lorsqu'elle serait disponible (3 jours). A part cela, l'endroit a été extraordinaire. La nourriture est bonne. Le personnel est merveilleux. L'hôtel est frais et aéré. Superbe vue sur l'eau. Le complexe est immense et il y a beaucoup à faire.

Amazing resort! Resort is very busy, 100% occupancy. They didn't have a room with king bed. Had to take a room with 2 double beds. Offered to move me to a room with king bed when available (3 days). Other than that the place has been amazing. Food is good. Staff are wonderful. Resort is cool and breezy. Great view of the water. The complex is huge with plenty to do.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Le bon, la brute et le truand

Nous avons séjourné au Bahia Principe Tulum du 7 au 14 mai. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons passé de bonnes vacances, cependant ce n'était pas à nos attentes. Je vais le décomposer en sections pour vous. Plage : La plage était magnifique, les gars de l'entretien travaillent extrêmement dur à toute heure du jour et de la nuit pour essayer de maintenir le problème d'algues, cependant pas de faute à la station, mais la plage était impossible à nager. Les algues étaient à des mètres de profondeur [... lire plus] et aussi vite qu'elles étaient enlevées, d'autres arrivaient. Le problème, c'est que l'endroit où les algues étaient entreposées dégageait une odeur dégoûtante autour de la piscine, là où se trouvent les dauphins. Dauphins sur le site : Je dois dire que j'avais/j'ai un énorme problème avec l'environnement dans lequel ces dauphins vivent, c'est une vieille petite piscine qui n'est pas assez d'espace pour eux d'être naturellement heureux. Le centre de villégiature insiste vraiment sur la nage avec les dauphins, qui semble être plus un spectacle qu'un discours. Je ne pouvais pas, dans mon esprit, soutenir l'exposition, mais les enfants voulaient regarder le spectacle et j'ai accepté à contrecœur. A ma grande surprise, les dauphins semblaient être en très bonne santé (selon mon opinion non professionnelle), leur couleur était magnifique, leur tempérament était joyeux et les dresseurs les traitaient avec beaucoup de douceur. La nourriture : Je ne suis pas du tout difficile et j'aime essayer de nouvelles choses. Je dois admettre que la nourriture de ce centre de villégiature était particulièrement décevante. Je pense qu'ils devraient proposer plus de stations de grillades de poisson/viande/volaille frais au lieu que tout soit précuit et placé dans des réchauds. Le choix du buffet était peu attrayant et les plateaux toujours vides. Les chariots à la carte : Bonne chance pour les réserver, nous espérions vraiment obtenir 3 réservations et malheureusement nous n'avons pas pu en avoir. Je ne suis pas sûr du processus de réservation avant d'arriver à la station, mais si vous attendez jusqu'à ce que vous arrivez, préparez-vous à manger dans les buffets. Très déçu par ce facteur Boissons : Il n'y a jamais eu de cohérence, vous pouviez commander la même boisson au même serveur ou à plusieurs serveurs et ce n'était jamais la même chose. L'alcool trop pauvre beaucoup trop (I’m sûr que c'est correct pour certains) cependant, ils devraient sur à la demande du consommateur. Tulum/Coba/Akumal : La station est immense, avec trois stations reliées entre elles. Si vous voyagez avec des enfants, je vous recommanderais plutôt Coba, qui est plus orienté vers la famille, tout en offrant de nombreux divertissements pour tous les âges. (Le buffet était également bien meilleur à Coba qu'à Tulum) D'après ce que j'ai compris, Tulum est la station la plus ancienne des trois et se remarque nettement. Akumal est un club privé et absolument magnifique, si vous avez les $$$, j'irais ici. Coba est plus moderne que Tulum et le personnel semble plus amical. Divertissement : Tous les animateurs étaient géniaux, mais on sent qu'ils sont surchargés de travail. Au moment du spectacle du soir, on se demandait s'ils avaient dormi. Ce sont des membres de l'équipe incroyablement talentueux, je me sentais surtout mal pour eux car ils doivent faire des journées de 15 à 16 heures facilement. Piscines : Toutes bonnes, bien entretenues. Rien à redire ici, tout était bien. Chambres : Nous avons séjourné à Tulum, les chambres étaient petites, sentaient la moiteur, ce qui, j'en suis sûr, est lié à l'environnement. Il y a une commode dans chaque chambre avec 3 tiroirs, donc je ne voudrais pas trop emballer à moins que vous voulez vivre de votre valise pour la semaine. Il y avait un placard là de la plupart des vêtements à accrocher cependant voyageant comme une famille l'espace était très limité. Le personnel : Je dois dire que j'ai été choqué par le personnel, à part quelques personnes sélectionnées (Luis servant le buffet, Romario mini bar) tout le monde est apparu misérable. Ils ne se souciaient pas de vous parler, en particulier omlet station il wouldn't hurt pour craquer un sourire à l'occasion, j'ai senti lui donner ma commande était un énorme inconvénient. Nous donnons normalement un très bon pourboire, et je dois dire que je n'ai pas été encouragé à le faire à cause de leur attitude Excursion : Nous avons fait les ruines de Tulum / Xel-Ha Je recommande vivement ces deux excursions, nous les avons faites le même jour et réservées par l'intermédiaire de West Jet. Une expérience absolument incroyable, à faire absolument !

The Good, The Bad, The Ugly We stayed at Bahia Principe Tulum May 7th to the 14th. All in all we had a great vacation, however it wasn’t to our expectations. I’ll break it down into sections for you. Beach: The beach was beautiful, the maintenance guys works extremely hard all hour of day and night to try and maintaine the seaweed issue, however no fault to the resort but the beach was un-swimable. The seaweed was meters deep and as quickly as it was being removed, more was coming in. The unfortunate problem was where they were housing the seaweed caused an amazing disgusting smell around the pool area where the dolphins are. Dolphins on resort: I have to say I had/have a huge issue with the environment these dolphins are living in, its an old small pool which isn’t enough space for them to naturally be happy. The resort really pushes the dolphin swim which seemed to be more of a show an tell. I couldn’t in my right mind support the exhibit, however the kids wanted to watch the show and I reluctantly agreed. To my surprise, the dolphins appeared to be very healthy (in my non professional opinion) their colour was beautiful, temperment was happy and over all treatment from trainers was extremely gentle. Food: Well I am not a picky eater by any means, and I enjoy trying new things. I have to admit the food at this resort was particularly disappointing. I feel they needed to offer more fresh fish/meat/poultry gril stations instead of everything being precooked and placed in warmers. The selection in the buffet was less then appealing, and always empty treys. A la carts: Good luck booking them, we were really hoping to secure 3 reservations and unfortunately we were unable to get any. I’m not sure what the process is to reserving prior to arriving at the resort, but if you wait until you arrive be prepared to eat at the buffets. Very disappointed with this factor Drinks: Never had any consistency, you could order the same drink from the same server or multiple servers and it was never the same. The over poor alcohol way too much (I’m sure its okay for some) however, they should over upon consumer request. Tulum/Coba/Akumal: The resort us huge, having three resort linked together. Tulum is definitely the PARTY resort, if your travelling with children I would recommend Coba as it is definitely more family oriented but still offering plenty of entertainment for all ages. (The buffet was also much better at Coba then Tulum) To my understanding Tulum is the oldest resort out of the three and is definitely noticeable. Akumal is privat club and absolutely stunning, if you have the $$$ I would go here. Coba, is more updated then Tulum and the staff seem friendlier. Entertainment: All entertainment guys were awesome, however you can tell they are over worked. By the evening entertainement you had to wonder if they had slept. They are amazing talented members of the team, I felt bad for them more then anything as they must be doing 15 - 16 hour days easily. Pools: All good, well maintained. Nothing really to review here, all was good. Rooms: We stayed in Tulum the rooms where small, smelt very muggy which I’m sure is to do with the environment. There is a dresser in each room with 3 drawers, so I wouldn’t over pack unless you want to live out of your suitcase for the week. There was a closet there from most clothes to be hanged however travelling as a family space was very limited. Staff: I have to say I was shocked with the staff, apart from a selected few (Luis serving staff at buffet, Romario mini bar) everyone came across miserable. They didn’t care to talk to you, especially omlet station it wouldn’t hurt to crack a smile on occasion, I felt giving her my order was a huge inconvenience. We normally tip very well, and I have to say I wasn’t encourage to do it because of their attitude Excursion: We did the Tulum ruins / Xel-Ha I would highly recommend both these excursions, we did them both on the same day and booked them thru West Jet. Absolutely amazing expierence, and a must do!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Des vacances en famille étonnantes

C'est la deuxième fois que nous venons à Coba et nous n'avons rien à redire sur ce complexe. Il est toujours aussi bien que la dernière fois que nous y sommes allés et nous y retournerons en mai prochain

L'expérience au Luxury Grand Bahia Principe Ambar Blue a été fantastique. Les personnes qui y travaillent sont toutes très sympathiques. Les divertissements étaient excellents, mais ils auraient dû être reportés à une heure plus tardive. La nourriture était excellente. La piscine et la plage étaient magnifiques ! Le transport vers et depuis les différentes stations était très rapide. J'y retournerais sans aucun doute.

AMAZING RESORT The whole experience at Luxury Grand Bahia Principe Ambar Blue was fantastic. The people working there were all very friendly. The entertainment was great but it should have been until a later time. The food was amazing. The pool and beach were beautiful! Transportation to and from different resorts were very quick. I would definitely go back again.

Nous avons vécu une expérience extraordinaire au Grand Bahia Principe Jamaïque. Un coup de chapeau spécial à Malik et Kevin de l'équipe de divertissement. Vous avez rendu notre séjour encore plus spécial.

Amazing family vacation Perfect vacation. The food, pool, beach and entertainment crew were awesome. I can’t wait to go back. We had an amazing experience at the grand Bahia principe Jamaica. Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: UN CENTRE DE VILLÉGIATURE QUI S'ADRESSE À TOUS !

C'était notre deuxième séjour au Bahia Principe à Punta Cana. La première fois, nous avons séjourné à l'Ambar (à l'époque, il n'y avait qu'un seul Ambar) et nous avons eu tendance à ne rester qu'à cet endroit. Mais cette fois-ci, nous avons séjourné à l'Esmeralda (parce que notre excellent agent nous a fait savoir que l'Ambar était en construction). L'Esmeralda était parfait pour nous. Il s'agit d'une petite partie du complexe qui vous permet de profiter de l'intimité de deux piscines et d'une [... lire plus] plus petite piscine pour adultes, de deux grands buffets et de trois restaurants de spécialités. Tous les bâtiments sont à quelques pas des piscines ou de la plage, car ce complexe est très proche de la plage. La nourriture était excellente, en particulier au buffet Los Geranios, avec des sièges et des tables plus agréables, une meilleure présentation et des plats plus chauds. Le service du personnel était partout de premier ordre. Des gens très sympathiques, du personnel du bar aux serveuses en passant par le personnel de maison. Bravo à Josephina, c'est la meilleure serveuse, très sympathique et qui se souvient de vos boissons. OLA JOSEPHINA ! Le restaurant brésilien était mon préféré. Ce qui est bien, c'est que vous pouvez aller dans n'importe lequel des 6 autres resorts, à l'exception du Fantasia, pour tout ce qui concerne les restaurants de spécialités, à l'exception du buffet, vous devez manger au buffet de votre propre resort. Faites-vous une faveur et faites une promenade à pied ou en tramway autour des 6 stations le premier ou le deuxième jour pour voir combien de choses sont disponibles pour vous. Les seuls points négatifs sont que certaines chambres sont fatiguées et ont besoin d'un rafraîchissement, de peinture et de colmatage de certaines fissures. On nous a dit que cela viendrait après la rénovation de l'Ambar. De plus, le bar de la piscine le plus proche de la plage manque de personnel et il a fallu un certain temps pour être servi toute la semaine. Dans l'ensemble, vous ne pouvez pas vous tromper avec ce complexe, qui en vaut la peine. Un grand bravo à Bahia Pincipe à Punta Canada ! lol

RESORT THAT CATERS TO ALL! This was our second time back to Bahia Principe in Punta Cana. First time we stayed at The Ambar (back then it was only one Ambar) was amazing we tended to stay to that resort only. But this trip we stayed at Esmeralda (because our excellent agent made us aware that Ambar is under construction). The Esmeralda was perfect for us. It is a smaller portion of the entire complex that allows you to have all the privacy of 2 pools and a smaller adult pool, with 2 large buffets and 3 specialty restaurants. All the buildings are a short walk to the pools or the beach as this resort is very close to the beach. The food was great especially at Los Geranios buffet, nicer seating & tables, presentation and hotness of food. Service by staff everywhere was top notch. Very friendly people from bar staff to waitresses to maid staff. Shout out to Josephina, she is the best waitress, very friendly and remembered your drinks. OLA JOSEPHINA! Brazilian restaurant was my favorite. The nice thing was you can go to any of the other 6 resorts except Fantasia for anything, specialty restaurants except buffet, you must eat at your own resorts buffet. Do yourself a favour and do a walk or tram ride around the entire 6 resorts on your first or second day to see how much stuff is available to you. The only negatives I will say is some of the rooms are tired and need a refresher, painting and some cracks filled. We were told it is coming after the Ambar renovation. Also the pool bar closest t the beach is understaffed as it took quite a while to get served all week. Overall you cannot go wrong with this resort, well worth the money. Thumbs up to Bahia Pincipe in Punta Canada! lol

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Je reviendrai sans aucun doute !

Luxury Bahia Principe Jamaica est un excellent complexe hôtelier, de la nourriture au personnel en passant par les divertissements et les activités. Ils se mettent en quatre pour faire de votre séjour un moment inoubliable ! Nous n'avons pas eu à nous plaindre. Je recommande vivement ce complexe à tous ceux qui recherchent une expérience de vacances hors du commun !

Would definitely go back! Luxury Bahia Principe Jamaica is a great resort, from food to staff to entertainment and activities. They go out of their way to make your stay a memorable one! We had no complaints. I would highly recommend the resort to anyone looking for an above par vacation experience!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Une station extraordinaire !

Le Grand Bahia Principe est un complexe hôtelier extraordinaire. Le personnel était très amical et serviable. Le terrain était impeccable, la nourriture était excellente. Les divertissements étaient sans fin. Je retournerais sans hésiter dans ce centre de villégiature. J'ai tout adoré !!!!

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Décevant

Mon mari a eu des piqûres de puces de sable sur toutes ses jambes ! L'endroit est immense, il faut prendre un chariot partout ! !! Pas toujours propre, les toilettes ne fonctionnaient pas dans notre chambre et nous avons dû aller demander qu'elles soient réparées deux fois ! !! Les clés des chambres ne fonctionnaient pas, il a fallu les reprogrammer deux fois ! !! Dans l'ensemble décevant et ne retournera pas à des stations beaucoup mieux !!!

Disappointing My husband got sand flea bites all over his legs!! The place was huge, have to take a trolley everywhere!! Not always clean, toilet didn’t work in our room and had to go ask to get it fixed twice!! Room keys didn’t work had to get them reprogrammed twice!! Overall disappointing and will not go back been to much better resorts!!

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Un départ difficile, mais tout s'est finalement bien passé !

D'avance, désolé pour le long commentaire ! J'ai visité ce resort du 5 au 12 mai, avec ma fiancée. Arrivée : Nous avions réservé une suite junior de luxe, située dans le bloc de chambres réservées aux adultes. Lors de l'enregistrement, nous avons remarqué que l'emplacement de notre bâtiment n'était même pas proche de ce bloc de chambres. Le jeune homme chargé de l'enregistrement ne s'est pas montré très franc à ce sujet. Nous avons finalement pu parler à un responsable et ce type de chambr [... lire plus]e n'était pas disponible. Elle a d'abord dit qu'il y en aurait peut-être une de disponible le lendemain. Nous étions contrariés parce que le coût était plus élevé pour ce type de chambre. Elle nous a dit qu'elle nous donnerait un crédit à utiliser au spa ou à la boutique du hall, ce qui, à mon avis, n'est pas vraiment une bonne solution. J'ajouterai qu'elle semblait également espérer que nous restions dans la première chambre, en commentant que beaucoup trouvent la chambre normale très bien. Une réponse frustrante, à mon avis. Nous avons pu changer de chambre le lendemain, bien que cela ait été un peu gênant parce que nous avons dû transporter passeports et portefeuilles, entre le moment où nous avons cédé notre première chambre et celui où nous avons pris la seconde. Chambres : Très propres, bien équipées. Bien nettoyées tous les jours, sauf un jour où j'ai laissé les serviettes sur le sol parce qu'elles commençaient à sentir mauvais. D'après un panneau dans la salle de bain, cela signifie qu'il faut les remplacer par des serviettes neuves. Elles ont simplement été raccrochées. J'ai apprécié le fait d'avoir un petit snack avec un sac de chips dans la chambre si vous n'avez pas envie d'aller au snack bar. Le service de majordome était excellent, ils ont fait en sorte que nos problèmes de climatisation et de vidange de la douche soient réglés rapidement et correctement. Buffet : Excellente variété dans le buffet principal ! Je ne suis pas sans gluten, mais j'ai remarqué qu'il y avait des options sans gluten, ainsi que de nombreuses options végétariennes, nous n'avons jamais eu faim. Nous n'avons jamais eu faim. Je dirais que Los Corales, qui est le buffet du petit déjeuner/déjeuner dans la zone réservée aux adultes, avait beaucoup moins d'options et un service plus lent. Ce n'était quand même pas mal. Le buffet principal est très fréquenté à l'heure du déjeuner, j'ai l'impression que les gens de Sian Ka'an (qui est loin) y viennent pour déjeuner. J'avais l'impression que nous ne pouvions utiliser les buffets que dans nos propres stations, mais je peux me tromper. le snack bar ouvert 24 heures sur 24 proposait un choix décent. A La Cartes : Arlequin est EXCELLENT. Nous sommes également allés à Cozumel et au Mikado à Coba, qui étaient bons. Je note qu'à une table près de nous à l'Arlequin, il y avait une personne sans gluten et ils ont fourni un service merveilleux et avaient beaucoup d'options pour elle. Si vous réservez vos cartes à la carte sur l'application, allez au bureau des relations publiques pour faire imprimer les billets. Cela rend les choses plus faciles lorsque vous arrivez au restaurant. De plus, si vous envoyez un e-mail au complexe à l'avance (informations sur le site Web de Bahia), vous pouvez réserver vos cartes à la carte dans les deux semaines précédant votre séjour ! Piscine : Nous les avons trouvées très propres, mais les deux piscines familiales n'avaient que très peu d'endroits ombragés. Il faudrait un peu plus de parasols. C'est à la piscine principale, près du hall, qu'il y avait le plus d'activités et de musique. La piscine réservée aux adultes est un peu plus calme. Il y a beaucoup d'endroits ombragés mais si vous les voulez, arrivez avant 6 heures du matin. Je note que le personnel fait respecter le principe de la piscine réservée aux adultes, contrairement à certaines critiques que j'ai pu lire. Plage : Il y a beaucoup de chaises à l'ombre près de la plage de la piscine à débordement, mais ce n'est pas la meilleure partie de la plage pour nager. La plage principale est la meilleure, et c'est là que l'on trouve le plus d'activités comme le yoga, la zumba et l'aquagym. Si vous voulez une plage très douce et une zone de baignade large et profonde, ce n'est pas la plage qu'il vous faut. De plus, j'ai remarqué qu'il y avait un drapeau rouge presque tous les jours, même si les eaux étaient assez calmes. Je ne sais pas s'ils ne l'ont pas changé, car beaucoup de gens étaient en kayak ou en catamaran. J'ai vu beaucoup de poissons, un crabe et quelques calamars dans la zone de la plage réservée aux adultes. Je suis très attaché à la plage dans un tout-inclus, et malheureusement la plage est la seule raison pour laquelle je ne reviendrais pas dans ce complexe. Bars : Excellent ! Il y en a beaucoup. Les serveurs autour des piscines et de la plage (peut-être seulement dans la zone réservée aux adultes, je n'en suis pas sûr) étaient merveilleux, et les barmen pouvaient préparer presque toutes les boissons que vous pouviez nommer. L'alcool est de grande qualité et les boissons ne sont absolument pas édulcorées. Divertissement : Les spectacles nocturnes étaient excellents, en particulier les spectacles de Michael Jackson. Je recommande également la soirée Fiesta mexicaine à La Hacienda (le village principal des 4 complexes) qui a lieu tous les jeudis, bien qu'il faille payer 18 USD par personne. Je ne peux pas parler de la discothèque, j'étais toujours trop épuisée à 11h30 pour y aller ! J'ai trouvé qu'il y avait surtout des couples, des mariages et des groupes familiaux, et que c'était animé mais pas vraiment une foule de fêtards, au cas où ce serait ce que vous recherchez ! L'hôtel en général : Très propre et bien entretenu. Vous verrez des iguanes, des coatis et des agoutis. J'ai adoré les voir, et ne vous inquiétez pas, ils ne dérangent personne. Comparé à l'hôtel Bahia de Punta Cana, j'ai trouvé cet hôtel plus étendu et donc moins propice à la marche, mais grâce au service de trolley fréquent et aux cartes informatives, ce n'était pas un problème. Sachez simplement qu'il s'agit d'une GRANDE propriété ! Personnellement, j'aime les grandes stations, mais je sais que ce n'est pas le cas de beaucoup. Vous pouvez facilement rester à Akumal, mais j'aime voir les autres stations et le village principal. Comparés aux vendeurs des boutiques et des étals de Punta Cana, ces gens ne sont pas du tout insistants ! C'est un environnement très confortable. Sécurité : Il y a beaucoup d'agents de sécurité et ils contrôlent minutieusement les entrées et les sorties. Je sais qu'il y a beaucoup de rapports sur la sécurité au Mexique, mais je me suis sentie plus en sécurité ici qu'à Punta Cana. Nous avons fait deux excursions et nous nous sommes également sentis en sécurité ! Autres : J'ai parlé de l'anniversaire de ma fiancée avec le service des relations publiques du centre de villégiature pendant notre séjour. Ils ont mis une bannière sur la porte avec des ballons et ont mis du vin mousseux et des chocolats dans la chambre ! Dans l'ensemble, le service est excellent et je n'ai pas trouvé que le personnel attendait des pourboires. Si votre espagnol est rouillé, j'ai trouvé que 99% du personnel parlait couramment l'anglais et beaucoup parlaient couramment le français.

Rocky start but all turned out well in the end! In advance, sorry for the long review! I visited this resort from May 5th through 12th, with my fiancee. Check-In: We had booked a deluxe junior suite, which is located in the adult only block of rooms. When we checked in we noticed our building location was not even close to that block of rooms. The young man checking us in was not upfront about it. We eventually were able to speak to a manager and that type of room was not available. She originally said they *may* have one available the next day. We were upset because it was a higher cost for that room type. She did say she would provide a credit that could be used at the spa or lobby shop, which to me isn't really a great solution. I will add, it also seemed as though she was hoping we'd stay in the first room, commenting a lot find the regular room just fine. Frustrating response, in my opinion. We were able to switch the next day, though it was a bit of an inconvenience because we had to carry around passports and wallets and what not in between giving up our first room and the second. Rooms: Very clean, stocked well. Cleaned well daily, except one day I left the towels on the floor because they were getting smelly. This, according to a sign in the bathroom, signifies to please switch them for fresh ones. They were simply hung back up. I did like having a little snack of a bag of chips in the room if you didn't feel like going to the snack bar. Butler service was excellent, they made sure to have our issues with the AC and shower draining dealt with well and quickly. Buffet: Excellent variety in the main buffet! I am not gluten free but noticed they had gluten free options, as well as many vegetarian options, we never went hungry. I will say Los Corales, which is breakfast/lunch buffet in the adult only area, had far less options, and had slower service. Still wasn't bad, though. The main buffet does get busy at lunch time, I feel like people from Sian Ka'an (which is far away) come there for lunch. I was under the impression we could only use the buffets on our own resorts, but I could be wrong. 24 hour snack bar had a decent selection. A La Cartes: Arlequin is EXCELLENT. Also went to Cozumel and Mikado on Coba which were good. I will note that a table near us at Arlequin had someone gluten free and they provided wonderful service and had many options for her. Side note, if you book your a la cartes on the app, go to the PR desk to get the tickets printed out. It makes it easier when you get to the restaurant. Also, if you email the resort ahead of time (info on the Bahia website), you can book your a la cartes within 2 weeks of your stay! Pool: Found them very clean however the two family pools had very limited shaded spots. Could use a few more umbrellas. There were the most activities and music at the main pool near the lobby. The adult only pool is a little more calm. There are a lot of shaded spots but if you want them, get there by 6am. I will note that the staff do enforce the adult only factor, contrary to some reviews I've seen. Beach: Plenty of chairs in the shade near the infinity pool beach area, however that is not the best part of the beach for swimming. The main beach area is best, and also has the most acitivies like yoga, zumba and water aerobics. If you want a very soft beach and a large/deep swimming area, this will not be the beach for you. Also, I noticed it was red flag almost every day even though the waters were quite calm. Not sure if they just didn't change it, because many were out in kayaks and catamarans. Decent snorkeling, I saw many fish, a crab and some squid in the adult only beach area. I am all about the beach at an all-inclusive, and unfortunately the beach is the only reason I wouldn't return to this resort. Bars: Excellent!! There are many around. Servers around the pools and beach (they may just be in the adult only area, I'm not sure) were wonderful, and almost any drink you could name the bartenders could make it. Great quality alcohol and drinks are definitely not watered down. Entertainment: The nightly shows were great, particularly the Michael Jackson Shows. I also recommend the Mexican Fiesta night up at La Hacienda (the main village area for all 4 resorts) which happens every Thursday, though you do have to pay 18 USD each. Can't speak to the disco, I was always too exhausted by 11:30 to go! I found it was mostly couples, weddings and family groups, and was lively but not really a party crowd, in case that's what you may be looking for! Resort overall: Very clean and well maintained. You will see iguanas, coatis and agoutis. Loved seeing them, and don't worry, they certainly don't bother anyone. Compared to the Bahia property in Punta Cana I found this one more spread out and therefore less conducive to walking, but with frequent trolley service and informative maps it was no issue. Just know, this is A LARGE property! I like large resorts personally but I know many don't. You could easily stay on Akumal, but I like seeing the other resorts and the main village area. Compared to the stall and shop sales people in Punta Cana, these people are not pushy AT ALL! It is a very comfortable environment. Safety: There are many security guards, and they check who comes in and goes out thoroughly. I know there are a lot of reports about safety in Mexico but I felt safer here than in Punta Cana. We did two excursions and felt very safe with them as well! Other: I spoke with PR at the resort about my fiancees birthday while we were there. They put a banner up on the door with balloons and put sparkling wine and chocolates in the room! All in all, the service is excellent and I did not find the staff expected tips at all. If your Spanish is rusty, I found 99% of the staff were fluent in English and many fluent in french.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: S'amuser au soleil ..... GOING BACK ! !!!!!

Nous avions initialement réservé le Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana mais nous avions des amis qui séjournaient au Grand Bahia Principe Bavaro. Le directeur de l'hôtel a été très gentil et nous a transférés sans frais supplémentaires lorsque nous sommes arrivés au complexe. L'hôtel était fantastique, la nourriture était excellente, la carte à la carte x 3 était excellente (nos préférés étaient le restaurant italien et le steak house), les chambres étaient très propres et calmes pour la soirée. [... lire plus] Nous avons apprécié les piscines et les boissons au bar de la piscine. Nous y retournerons certainement l'année prochaine. Merci à TripCentral et à Air Canada.

Fun In The Sun ..... GOING BACK !!!!!! We originally booked the Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana but we had friends staying at the Grand Bahia Principe Bavaro. The hotel manager was so nice and switched us over at no extra cost when we first got to the resort. The resort was fantastic, the food was great, the A La Carte x 3 was excellent (our favorite was Italian and Steak House) The room were very clean and quiet for the evening. Enjoyed the pools and also the drinks at the pool bar. We will definitely be going back next year. Thank You TripCentral and Air Canada.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Ambar Blue est un complexe hôtelier exceptionnel

J'ai décidé de passer mes vacances cette année encore au luxueux Bahia Principe Ambar Blue. L'année dernière, j'ai séjourné à l'Ambar Green, l'hôtel jumeau de celui-ci. C'est un excellent Resort aussi, mais plus loin de la plage. En 2016, j'ai séjourné à l'Ambar Blue et c'était très bien à l'époque. Ce resort ne m'a pas déçu cette année car c'est toujours un excellent resort. Ces deux complexes sont réservés aux adultes. La plage est fantastique avec ses 42 km de sable blanc et fin sans l [... lire plus]e moindre caillou sur toute sa longueur. On peut marcher des kilomètres dans les deux sens. Le service de bar est excellent, avec des alcools de premier choix. Le personnel de l'hôtel veille à ce que le terrain soit impeccable. Je dois également mentionner que le personnel de la plage a nettoyé la plage des algues tous les jours. Le personnel du hall est excellent et très compétent dans son travail et j'ai trouvé que tout le personnel était très serviable, amical et toujours souriant. Le personnel du service clientèle a réservé rapidement et efficacement tous les restaurants à la carte que j'ai demandés. J'adore les fruits de mer et ils ont veillé à ce que je sache que les mardis soirs étaient les soirs de repas de gala à l'hôtel étaient les soirs de repas de gala au restaurant Palymera Buffet avec tous les plats de fruits de mer et de viande que l'on peut désirer. Les serveurs du bar sont très rapides et efficaces dans leur travail. La personne chargée du nettoyage de ma chambre, Sandra, est excellente et fait très bien son travail. Ma chambre a été très bien nettoyée et tôt tous les jours, à l'exception d'un jour. J'ai cru comprendre que ce jour-là, de nombreux clients quittaient l'hôtel pour rentrer chez eux à la fin de leurs vacances, ce qui l'a un peu retardée. Elle a donc pris un peu de retard. Je n'ai pas considéré cela comme un problème majeur. Elle s'est assurée que j'avais beaucoup de serviettes et de draps et que la chambre était parfaitement nettoyée tous les jours. Le superviseur Watson a veillé à ce que tous les problèmes, même les plus petits, soient réglés immédiatement. J'ai laissé un bon pourboire chaque jour au personnel de nettoyage de la chambre et aux autres membres du personnel. Je reviendrai dans ce complexe à l'avenir. Une petite remarque en passant. J'ai réservé mes vacances par l'intermédiaire de Melissa Alexander et de Trip Central et je continuerai à réserver mes futures vacances auprès de cette société. Cordialement, Patrick

Ambar Blue is an Amazing Resort I decided to spend my vacation this year again at the Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar Blue. Last year O stayed at the Ambar Green the sister resort to this one. It is a great Resort as well but farther from the beach. In 2016, I stayed at the Ambar Blue and it was great then. This resort did not disappoint me this year as it is still an excellent resort. Both these resorts are adults only. The beach is fantastic with its 42km of fine white sand with not even a pebble for its entire length. You can walk for miles in either direction. The bar service is excellent with all top shelf liquor. The grounds are kept immaculate by the grounds staff. I should also mention the the beach staff kept the beach cleaned of sea weed every day. The staff in the lobby are excellent and very good at their jobs and I I found all staff are very helpful, friendly and always a smile on their faces. The guest services staff booked all my a la carte restaurants quickly and efficiently with the a la Cartes that I requested. I love seafood and they made sure that I knew Tuesday nights were the Gala food nights at the Palymera Buffet restaurant with all the seafood and meat dishes that you would ever want. The bar tenders are very quick and efficient at their jobs. The room cleaning person that I had, Sandra is excellent and very good at her job. My room was cleaned very well and early every day with the exception of one day. I understand on that day a lot of guests left the resort to fly home at the end of their vacations. This put her a bit behind schedule. I did not consider this a big issue. She made sure that I had lots of towels, toliteries and the room cleaned excellent every day. The supervisor Watson ensured that any issues no matter how small were taken care of immediately. I left a good tip every day for room cleaning staff and other staff. I will stay at this resort again in the future. Just a side note. I booked my vacation thru Melissa Alexander and Trip Central and will continue to book my future vacations with this company. Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Un centre de villégiature exceptionnel

Excellent service, nourriture, boissons, chambres très propres, et la plage est à mourir (leur personnel la garde toujours propre et sûre). Service de chambre et de ménage exceptionnel. Ils ont dépassé nos attentes pour toutes nos demandes. Le personnel du restaurant buffet principal n'est pas aussi sympathique qu'à Cuba. Je recommanderais ceci comme une opportunité d'amélioration dans ce domaine. Le restaurant français a le meilleur personnel en ce qui concerne la satisfaction des clients. Il [... lire plus]s ont fait des pieds et des mains pour nous satisfaire, ce qui a été très apprécié par ma famille !

Amazing resort Excellent service, food, drinks, rooms very clean, and the beach is to die for (their staff always keeps it clean and safe). Exceptional room buttler and maid service. They exceeded our expectations on all our requests. Main buffet restaurant staff in general not so friendly as in Cuba. I would recommend this as an opportunity for improvement in this area. The French restaurant has the best personnel as far as meeting and/or exceeding customer satisfaction. They went out of their way to accommodate us, and that was greatly appreciated by my family!

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Beautiful Resort

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour dans ce centre de villégiature. La nourriture était bonne. Nous n'avons pas eu à nous plaindre. La chambre était très belle et spacieuse. Pendant notre séjour, l'électricité n'a pas cessé de tomber en panne pendant environ 5 minutes à la fois, sans que l'on sache trop pourquoi. Nous n'avions pas de vêtements pour le visage. We really enjoyed staying at this resort. The food was good. No complaints. Room was very nice and spacious. During our stay, the power kept going out for approximately 5 minutes at a time, not sure why. We had no face clothes. These are the only 2 downfalls that we experienced. We would most definitely return to this resort. We would rate this resort definitely as a 5.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Absolument à couper le souffle !

Tout dans ce complexe était parfait. Les plages, la nourriture, le personnel amical, la chambre, la piscine... honnêtement, il n'y a pas mieux que Grand Bahia. J'ai visité plusieurs centres de villégiature dans les Caraïbes, mais c'est celui-ci qui m'a le plus impressionné grâce à son personnel exceptionnel qui veille à ce que notre voyage reste gravé dans les mémoires. Absolutely Breathtaking! Everything about this resort was perfection. The beaches, the food, the friendly staff, the room, the pool.. honestly couldn't get any better than Grand Bahia. I've been to several Caribbean Resorts, and this one has impressed me the most with the outstanding staff that makes sure our trip is one to remember. We're already thinking of coming back next year. To anyone who's looking for 5 star service, this resort is the place for you!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: la troisième fois est la bonne

Troisième fois dans cet hôtel, grande chaîne. Bon surclassement pour les clients réguliers ainsi que du champagne et des chocolats dans notre chambre pour notre anniversaire. Tant de choses ont changé depuis notre dernière visite en 2014. Ils’ ont ajouté des équipements vraiment géniaux comme un parc aquatique pour enfants, qui était amusant pour les adultes et les enfants. Le service était excellent, tout le monde souriait et disait bonjour. La nourriture était excellente, il y avait beaucoup [... lire plus] de choix et tout était bien préparé. Le poulet Jerk était délicieux. L'équipe d'animation s'est efforcée de divertir tout le monde, avec des feux de joie, des fêtes sur la plage, des activités à profusion, mais sans insister pour que l'on s'y implique. La réception s'est occupée rapidement de tous les problèmes, elle vous appelle même pour s'assurer que tout va bien. La plage est idéale pour la plongée avec tuba et le sable blanc pour la baignade... Je reviendrais pour une quatrième visite....absolument !!!

3rd time a charm Third time at this hotel, great chain. Good upgrade for repeat guests as well as champagne and chocolates in our room for anniversary. So much has changed since our last visit in 2014. They’ve added some really great amenities like a kids waterpark, which was fun for both adults and kids alike. Service was excellent, everyone smiled and said hello. Food was great, lots of choice and all well prepared. Jerk chicken was delish. Entertainment crew worked hard to entertain everyone, from bonfires and beach parties, activities galore, but not pushy to become involved. Front desk was quick to attend to any issues, they even call you to see that everything is good. Great snorkelling on the beach, or nice white sand for swimming...would I return for a fourth visit....absolutely!!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Merveilleux centre de villégiature

Les terrains, les bâtiments et les chambres sont bien entretenus. Le personnel est très serviable et amical. Il est très facile de se déplacer dans le complexe grâce au système de trolley. Les activités à la piscine et les soirées au resort et à l'Hacienda étaient excellentes. Vacances très relaxantes.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Une autre visite réussie

Nous avons déjà séjourné dans ce complexe dans le passé. C'est la troisième fois que nous y séjournons. Et une fois de plus, il n'a pas déçu. La plage était belle comme toujours. Le nouveau parc aquatique pour enfants était très amusant pour les enfants des amis avec qui nous voyagions. Le seul vrai problème, qui n'était pas dû à l'hôtel, a été l'apparition de fourmis volantes (qu'ils appellent fourmis de pluie) dans notre chambre. Elles sont arrivées rapidement. L'hôtel a pulvérisé not [... lire plus]re chambre, mais à 12h30 du matin, nous nous sommes réveillés avec des fourmis sur notre lit. On nous a tout de suite changé de chambre. C'est drôle maintenant, mais ma femme était un peu effrayée. Le personnel était aimable, comme toujours. La nourriture était bonne. Nous reviendrons sans aucun doute, surtout si le prix est correct

Another successful visit We have stayed at this resort in the past. This being our 3rd time. And once again it didn’t disappoint. The beach was nice as always. The new kids water park was a lot of fun for the kids of the friends we were travelling with. The only real issue which wasn’t the hotels fault was the out break of flying ants(they call them rain ants) in our room. They came quickly. The resort sprayed our room but at 12:30 in the morning we awoke to them all over our bed. They moved us to another room right away. It’s funny now but my wife was a little freaked out. The staff were friendly as always. The food was good. We will definitely be back again especially if the price is right
