Best First Experience

We had a terrific vacation, simply the most amazing experience of my life!!! I cant beleive how well everything went. We met "Lode " from your company at the resort and she gave us a run down on what's what, the dues, answered all out questions, the do's and don't and dispelled many rumours with facts. She also saw us off at the airport before our departure. She was very nice and very helpful and we noticed that not all the guest or tours had a contact person to inform them. Excellent idea/serv [... lire plus]ice on your part. The hotel was great. It has a relatively fresh look and the rooms and grounds were clean. Thank you for the balcony room. We had a view of the ocean and were not far from the main centre. for a couple of bucks a day on the pillow, we had very clean rooms, spotless and a well stocked minibar (so important). The bed was good and plenty of towels and pillows. The hotel was not even half filled and this led to no line ups for drinks, food or information, so awesome. The staff was number one, they really love their jobs and you can tell. We met a lot of nice people, very helpful and inclusive in all events and lessons. they are a freindly gang and really helped in briging the guest together. the laughs and fun never stopped. they have a small spanish lesson everyday at 10 for about 15 minutes. This was a huge benefit to us and we got more positive responese with the efforts we were making to communicate. The beach is very nice, the winds were not too bad and the waves were excellent. The beach is clean and not too many local salespeople on the beach. They were pretty respectful of the guest and not too pushy. The pools are equally as nice and clean. not too many kids during our week so at times, the common pool seemed a lot like the adult only pool. The food was supurb and the drinks did not stop. We anticipated needing some condements and fillers and spicy sauce but had no need for any of them. The flavours are varied and bountiful. the fish is so fresh and the buffets were filled with several different cuisines. all beakfasts, lunches and dinners were all delecious and ample. The 2 a-la carte restaurants were classy and refreshing. The service was magnificent. Ladies need sleeves at these dinners, no wraps allowed. The entertainment was good. We stayed and watched every show that they had in the evening. they were mixed between skits and dancing troops. They had humour in most of their shows. the casino was fun and on the grounds, as was the night life. both were all but empty and many of the shops were not open. but by 10pm, after the show, you have already had a very long day. The wild life was present but not intrusive. not many misquitos, but sand fleas were biting people that they found tasty. Strange that I received very few bites but my wife got a dozen or more, she must taste better. The repellant that we brought from home was a great idea and solved that problem immediatly. We did not do many of the chargeable events, no excursions, no scuba ,no sailing, no need. :-) Thank you for the best vacation ever !! We had the most amazing time and would strongly reccoment this to all our friends.

Great resort awesome people

The hotel was neat clean, very friendly people, no language barrier, the pools were very clean and the staff when they knew what you were having would bring you more without even asking them. The grounds were very well kept and the front desk was very very helpful!!!

Amazing Resort

My wife and kids went there in april of 2014 ,we realy did have good time, the kids love it there, they also like the the guy {Alex} who always saying i love my job he is realy funny, the food was great and the staff was amazing and realy friendly ,we all love it there we would go back tomorrow

Did not meet expectations

Despite being an "older" Principe hotel did not expect this.No proper mattress cover saw dirty/dingy mattress through sheet waited 2hrs 1st night. Drunk,foul mouthed students all over complex.Pool staff unprofessional with comments. At least wheather was nice!!

Best caribbean hotel chain ever

absolutely no fault to be found. This is our 4th Bahia stay in 5 years. best value, cleanest, great food and entertainment. Evening cocktails are served in glass not plastic. How wonderful.! We have recommended this chain to everyone.

Very comfortable resort on wide safe beach.

Beautiful grounds and very comfortable accommodations in well equipped rooms. Great central pool and very good choice of restaurants. Buffets featured excellent food variety. Staff and service was outstanding.

Great resort!

Great resort, great food, amazing parties! Perfect for students. I wouldn't recommend it for a family as it seems to be more catered towards a young crowd. I really enjoyed my stay at Bahia Principe and would definitely come back.

Great time!

The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The washrooms could use some work. The toilets often flooded and the showers were always backed up. The maids were really great though and I still had a wonderful time.

Spring break fun!

We had an amazing time at Gran bahia back in February 2014. There were 4 of us traveling for spring break. The rooms were clean, enough space, nice size balcony. The food was awesome! We could all find something we wanted every meal. Beach was fantastic and pools were clean and large.

What a memorable vacation! Wonderful hotel and I had the time of my life here, it was a great experience for me. I had so much happiness in experiencing the DR for the first time and it was an amazing experience for me, I think that my consequent vacations will be in DR and most likely this hotel because I just loved it. I had so much fun and the hotel made sure that my stay was not regrettable. The staff works round the clock to make sure that the guests are all satisfied and comfortable; the h [... lire plus]otel was well kept and maintained properly. The gardens were beautiful and you could see that they were very well maintained as well. My room had the garden view which is beautiful and it was also very spacious, it was well cleaned and everything was in place, all equipment and amenities worked perfectly. I loved all the restaurants in the building, all the foods I ate there were nice and varieties were available even for the pickiest eater. There are lots of activities especially during the day if you are interested in being part of any of them. The animation team worked hard to make sure that the guests were entertained as well as putting up new different shows every night and that was a nice effort. The beach is fabulous and the staff here make your stay worthwhile because they are really lovely people.

We loved this resort, stayed for 2 weeks

We stayed for 2 weeks and could have stayed longer, food was good, staff really friendly and accommodations were good. This resort is on the cusp of GREAT, renovations are scheduled and upgrades in the works. I am very anxious to go back and see what they have done, it was already an amazing resort.

Terrific Vacation

The grounds are beautifully manicured ...... The larger pool is great for activities, families, and the swim up bar is a friendly spot to meet people .... The smaller pool is more private, thus a great place to park oneself and catch up on reading your favourite books ....The staff are very friendly and always willing to go the extra mile for you ....The buffet meals offer a tremendous variety and are always presented with local colour and freshness.... The a la carte restaurants give you a chan [... lire plus]ce to relax in a more formal dining environment which is a nice change from the buffet .... The rooms are always very clean and the complimentary drinks in the fridge are a nice treat ..... We have vacationed at this Bahia Principe for the last 8 years and highly recommend it as a very affordable holiday

Very clean, spacious, beautiful

beautiful grounds, clean, great service, very good food, the funniest shows!, shallow water in the ocean (great for kids and weak swimmers), lots of shady spaces, no lineups, very friendly and customer oriented

Fantastic resort!!

I would go back here in an instant! The staff was welcoming, the rooms were clean and always had a personal touch to make us feel special. The food was amazing!! The pools, grounds and beach were always clean. We took several excursions to see the countryside, landmarks and other beaches. I would sure recommend these sight seeing adventures!

Nice resort

very clean grounds and the area, pools are nice too,very good food. Rooms could use a little updates.Night entertainment very nice , but not too much to do for the kids.Service was ok , but the guy who suppost to help us out treat us very cold and even not very nice sometimes.

Amazing Employees!!!!

Excellent value for the price....and the best service you could get anywhere. Rooms are average but very clean. The resort grounds are absolutely beautiful, the food is great and the "strip" provides a great place to party without disturbing those that want to rest. The beach is great for walking and the service is the best. The staff are amazing, even taking us to their homes to show us the Dominican life.

Incredible resort

Travelled with wife and Adult son and his girlfriend. Can't say enough positive things about this resort. The staff were amazing. Extremely happy and friendly (especially Eddie in the buffet and Domenedes in the A la cartes, or tequila boom boom as we called him). Would recommend to anyone and are already planning our next trip in the spring. I can't think of a single negative thing to say about this resort.

Good no great times

We had a family vacation , with our adult children , will always remember the great time , thanks Bahia , for helping us make memories . The grounds were always clean , the staff went beyond , the only complaint I would have is the sand on beach , but the Bahia couldn't do anything about the grain of the sand , thanks again Bahia

So relaxing

The hotel was great and we really enjoyed the pool and games we played every day. We will be going back again and bring our friends back with us. Can't wait to try some new dishes next time around be more adventurous

Amazing time

could not ask for anything else, amazing staff, grounds and also rooms. best family vacation ever! Everyone there went out of the way to make this vacation great. You can tell that the staff really cares about their quests.
