Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Très beau centre de villégiature

Ce complexe est très agréable et le personnel est excellent. Mon seul reproche est que les locaux étaient présents sur le site le week-end. Ils se tenaient à l'écart et ne posaient pas de problème, mais cela rendait la station beaucoup plus animée, en particulier à la piscine et dans les restaurants. La plage est fantastique avec beaucoup d'arbres pour ceux qui aiment un peu d'ombre. Il y a beaucoup de chaises à la grande piscine et à la plage. La nourriture est excellente ! Il y a beaucoup de v [... lire plus]ariété et tout est chaud et frais. Les spectacles sont excellents, mais ils sont assez bruyants la nuit. Nous étions dans le bâtiment 4 qui a une belle vue mais qui est juste à côté de la scène, donc si vous êtes quelqu'un qui se couche tôt, vous voudrez peut-être un bâtiment plus éloigné de la scène. Demandez également une chambre au deuxième ou au troisième étage ! Il n'y a pas d'ascenseur mais notre chambre était au rez-de-chaussée et était très, très humide. Les chambres sont un peu vieillottes - pas de qualité 4.5 mais propres. Nous avons payé 35 $ US pour 7 jours de WiFi illimité qui fonctionnait partout dans l'hôtel, mais il y avait des options moins chères. Il y a un marché à l'extérieur du complexe, un peu plus loin sur la plage, où les gens peuvent essayer de vous inciter à aller. Les gens y sont généralement insistants et veulent que vous entriez dans leur magasin. Je ne m'y rendrais probablement pas seule. Dans l'ensemble, je recommanderais ce complexe. Il est très joli avec ses grands palmiers, et il semble sûr et propre. Je ne comprends pas pourquoi les gens du coin vont dans cette station et pas dans les autres stations de la région.

Very nice resort This resort is quite nice and the staff are excellent. My only complaint was that the locals were on the resort on the weekend. They kept to themselves and really weren't a problem, it just made the resort much busier - especially at the pool and restaurants. The beach is fantastic with plenty of trees for those who like a bit of shade. Lots of chairs at the large pool and at the beach. The food is excellent! Plenty of variety and everything is hot and fresh. The shows are great however they are quite loud at night. We were in building 4 which has a nice view but is right beside the stage, so if you are someone who goes to bed early, you may want a building further away from the stage. Also, ask for a room on the second or third floor! There are no elevators but our room was on the ground level and was very, very damp The rooms are a bit dated - not 4.5 quality but clean. We paid $35 US for 7 days unlimited WiFi which worked everywhere on the resort, but they did have cheaper options available. There is a market off of the resort just down the beach a little that people may try to get you to go to. The people there are typically pushy, wanting you to come into their shop. I probably wouldn't go there alone. Overall, I would recommend this resort. It's very pretty with the tall palms, and it feels safe and clean. I just don't understand why locals are on this resort but not other resorts in the area.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Ce n'est pas exactement ce à quoi je m'attendais.

Les personnes qui aiment se baigner à la plage seront très déçues. Nous avons visité la première semaine de décembre 2014, l'océan et la zone de la plage était sale. L'hébergement et la nourriture étaient acceptables, le service ne l'était pas.

Not exactly what I expected. People who like to swim at the beach will be very disappointed. We visited first week in December 2014, the ocean and the beach area was dirty. The accomodation and the food was acceptable, the service was not.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Pas un 4 étoiles !

Tout d'abord, juste pour dire....Nous sommes allés à Punta Cana et nous y retournerions sans hésiter. Peurto Plata, pas tellement. Les choses les plus agréables à propos du Gran Ventana étaient la chambre qui était correcte et le restaurant à la carte au-dessus du hall qui, je crois, s'appelait le Octopus. Le terrain est très petit et n'est pas entretenu, les allées ne sont pas balayées ou nettoyées, tout a l'air de craquer et de se dégrader, y compris la piscine, la plage est couverte d'algues  [... lire plus]et d'excréments de palmiers qui ne sont pas nettoyés, il n'y avait presque personne et nous sommes arrivés un dimanche, le buffet principal était très petit et la petite sélection de nourriture était tout juste correcte. Si vous cherchez un beau complexe pour vous amuser, ce n'est PAS l'endroit. Nous avons parlé à notre guide Sunwing qui était génial, et nous avons déménagé au Riu Merengue le lendemain de notre arrivée à Peurto Plata. Je vais donner une bonne note aux représentants de Sunwing, ils sont très serviables et agréables. Au Riu Merengue, c'était beaucoup mieux ! Amusement, bonne nourriture, beaucoup de monde. Juste à côté du Riu Bahata, nous avons pu utiliser le terrain. Le terrain était bien entretenu et malgré la reconstruction d'une partie du restaurant, le Merengue était agréable. Je dirai que les chambres, les salles de bains et les douches étaient un peu petites, mais le reste du complexe compensait. Le seul autre inconvénient du Riu était que l'Internet gratuit dans le hall était limité à 90 minutes par jour. Allez Riu, vraiment ? ? Donc voilà....si vous allez en République Dominicaine, allez à Punta Cana où la plage est de sable blanc sur la magnifique mer des Caraïbes et non sur la mer agitée de l'Atlantique comme à Puerto Plata. Ce n'est évidemment que mon avis, mais j'ai visité de plus beaux complexes hôteliers avec une meilleure nourriture, un meilleur service et de meilleures plages à Cuba, au Mexique et à Punta Cana.

Not a 4 star! First of all, just to say....We have been to Punta Cana and would definitely go back there again in a second. Peurto Plata, not so much. The nicest things about The Gran Ventana were the room which was ok and the a la carte above the lobby which I believe was call the Octopus. The grounds are very small and are not kept up as in swept or cleaned walkways, everythnig looks like it's cracking and run down including the pool, the beach is covered in seaweed and palm droppings which were not being cleaned up, there were hardly any people there and we arrived on a Sunday, thehe main buffet was was very small and small selection of food was just ok. If you are looking for a beautiful resort to have fun at, this is NOT the place. We talked to our Sunwing guide who was great, and moved to the Riu Merengue the day after we arrived in Peurto Plata. I will give the Sunwing reps a good review, they are very helpful and pleasant. At the Riu Merengue things were a lot better! Fun, good food, lots of people. Right beside the Riu Bahata and we could use those grounds too. Grounds were well kept and in spite of the one section of reconstruction of a restaurant area, the Merengue was nice. I will say the rooms and bathrooms and showers were on the small side but the rest of the resort made up for it. The only other downfall at the Riu was that the free internet in the lobby was limited to 90 minutes a day. Come on Riu, really?? So there you have it....if you are going to Dominican Republic, go to Punta Cana where the beach is white sand on the beautiful Caribbean not on the rough Atlantic like Puerto Plata. This is obviously only my opinion but I have been to nicer resorts with better food, service and beaches in Cuba, Mexico and Punta Cana.

Il n'y a que des bonnes choses à dire....nous avons eu beaucoup de chance avec un ciel bleu et de bonnes températures. j'ai été surpris par la qualité des bons vins espagnols et des marques d'alcool de première qualité....généralement ils sont édulcorés, ce qui n'est pas du tout le cas. La nourriture était bien variée et goûteuse. La plage, la piscine, le personnel et les Dominicains étaient tous chaleureux et amicaux. Vraiment un excellent séjour, surtout à un prix fantastique.

Fun, great food and wine Only good things to say....we were very lucky with blue skies and great temperatures. l was surprised at the quality of good Spanish wine and premium brands alcohol....generally they are watered down, and not the case at all. Food was of well variety and taste. Beach, pool, staff and the Dominican people were all warm and friendly. Truly a great stay, especially with the fantastic price.

Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort: Encore un excellent séjour dans ce centre de villégiature

Même si nous étions au Tropical au lieu du Confesi Resort, nous avons tout de même passé un excellent moment. Le personnel de l'hôtel était très respectable et amical. Nous avons apprécié les animateurs, même si Speedy nous a manqué, mais nous l'avons vu à l'occasion. Un grand merci à Papi. Lenny, Jorge, Romeo et Candy Love. Nous essaierons de revenir bientôt.

Yet Another Great Time at this Resort Even though we were at the Tropical instead of the Confesi Resort . we still had a wonderful time . The resort staff was very respectable and Friendly . We enjoyed the animators even though we missed Speedy but did see him on occasion. A Very special thanks to Papi . Lenny,, Jorge. Romeo and Candy Love . We will try to come back again soon.

Le centre de villégiature était très bien entretenu et la nourriture était excellente ! Le personnel était très sympathique et très accueillant. Il y avait toujours des activités récréatives à faire si vous restiez là pour la journée. Les spectacles nocturnes étaient également très divertissants.

Great resort and great people The resort was very well taken care of and food was great!! It had very friendly staff who were very welcoming. There was always recreational activities to do if you were to stay there for the day. The shows at night were always very entertaining as well.

Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Casa Marina Beach & Reef Resort

Mes deux meilleures amies et moi-même sommes allées à Casa Marina Beach & Reef Resort il y a trois semaines et nous avons passé un excellent moment. Je donnerais un 3 aux chambres, mais un 5++ à la propriété. La nourriture était très bonne, il y avait tellement de choix et tout était frais, les boissons étaient généreuses et délicieuses ! Nous avons surclassé notre forfait et, honnêtement, nous avons obtenu la MEILLEURE chambre de tout le complexe. Tout le personnel était exceptionnel, ils nous [... lire plus] connaissaient tous par notre nom, nous couraient après pour parler, rire et s'amuser. En gardant à l'esprit que nous sommes allés hors saison, il n'y avait pas de grands spectacles de fantaisie, mais c'était parfait pour ce que nous voulions pour nos vacances. Nous avons eu l'occasion d'assister à la célébration d'un mariage dominicain qui était magnifique. Notre représentant Nolitour, William, a été formidable et nous a aidés à planifier une excursion dont nous nous souviendrons toujours. Nous nous sommes sentis en sécurité en nous promenant sur la plage de Sousa et en ville... c'était très amusant. Merci de nous avoir accueillis, je reviendrai l'année prochaine à la même heure et au même endroit !

My two best girlfriends and I went to Casa Marina Beach & Reef Resort three weeks ago and we had a wonderful time. I would rate the rooms as a 3 but the grounds as a 5++. The food was very good, so much selection and everything was fresh, drinks were generous and yummy! We upgraded our package and quite honestly we got the BEST room in the entire resort. All the staff were outstanding, they knew us all by name, chased us down to talk, giggle and have fun. Keeping in mind we went at off season so there were no big fancy shows but it was perfect based on what we wanted on our vacation. We got the opportunity to watched a Dominican wedding celebration that was beautiful. Our Nolitour representative William was awesome and helped us plan an excursion that we will remember forever. We felt safe wandering around at Sousa Beach and in town...so fun. Thanks for having us, I am returning next year same time same place!!

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Lieu intéressant.

La première impression du Blue Bay Villas Doradas est WOW ! Nous étions allés dans ce complexe 25 ans auparavant et c'était une amélioration. Le personnel est très sympathique, le terrain est magnifiquement entretenu, le hall et les restaurants sont très propres et accueillants MAIS...... chambres laissent beaucoup à désirer. La première chambre que nous avons occupée n'avait pas d'eau chaude pendant deux jours - ils nous ont finalement transférés dans une autre chambre après avoir envoyé un age [... lire plus]nt d'entretien pour nous montrer comment ouvrir l'eau. - très insultant. La baignoire de cette chambre était rouillée, les carreaux de sol cassés et le ventilateur de plafond était recouvert d'une couche de saleté d'un demi-pouce. La bouche d'aération du climatiseur était obstruée par la saleté, de sorte que l'on respirait de l'air vieux et moisi. La porte de la chambre était presque un pouce plus courte que l'ouverture et permettait aux insectes de pénétrer dans la pièce. La deuxième chambre était mieux, mais le ventilateur de plafond était couvert de saletés et le climatiseur avait désespérément besoin d'être nettoyé. si vous vouliez des serviettes, vous deviez demander à la femme de chambre qui vous donnait une serviette de toilette et deux serviettes de bain, si vous aviez de la chance. Ces choses ont été signalées à la réception mais n'ont jamais été corrigées pendant notre séjour. J'ai parlé à d'autres clients qui ont dû déménager 3 fois avant d'obtenir une chambre qui n'avait pas de problème. Si vous allez dans un all inclusive, alors pourquoi devez-vous payer pour les boissons au Lobby Bar ????? C'est censé être un hôtel 4 étoiles et vous devez payer pour les boissons. J'ai voyagé dans toutes les Caraïbes en séjournant dans des all inclusive de 2 à 5 étoiles et je n'ai JAMAIS eu à payer pour des boissons dans aucun des bars. Les divertissements laissent beaucoup à désirer. Ils doivent penser que nous sommes tous sourds car ils mettent la musique si fort que vous ne pouvez pas tenir une conversation avec la personne à côté de vous sans crier. Surtout pendant la journée. Je comprends qu'ils veulent que tout le monde passe un bon moment, mais tout le monde ne veut pas perdre l'ouïe. L'espace spa était la meilleure partie de cet endroit, très calme - mais seulement après que la scène principale ait baissé sa musique et ils sont situés aux extrémités opposées de la station. La plage était magnifique mais malheureusement nous avons été constamment dérangés par des gens qui essayaient de nous vendre leurs articles et ils n'acceptent pas de refus. On nous a donné les prix des excursions à notre arrivée mais lorsque nous avons essayé de les réserver, ils ont augmenté les prix alors que le prix le plus bas était sur internet. Je ne donnerais jamais une note de 4 étoiles à cet endroit.

Interesting place. The first impression of the Blue Bay Villas Doradas is WOW! We had been to this resort 25 year prior and well, it was an improvement . The staff is very friendly, the grounds are beautifully manicured, the lobby and restaurants are very clean and inviting BUT...... the rooms leave allot to be desired. The first room we were put into didn't have hot water in it for 2 days - they finally moved us to another room after sending down a maintenance worker to show us how to turn the water on. - very insulting. That room had rust on the bathtub, broken floor tiles and a ceiling fan that had about 1/2" of dirt on it. The vent for the air conditioner was clogged with dirt so you were breathing in old, moldy air. The door to the room was almost an inch shorter than the opening and allowed bugs to come into the room. The Second room we were put into was better but again the ceiling fan was covered with dirt and the air conditioner desperately needed cleaning. if you wanted towels, you had to ask the maid as they would give you one hand towel and two bath towels, if you were lucky. These things were pointed out to the front desk but never corrected during our stay. I spoke to some other guest who had to move 3 time before they got a room that didn't have problems. If you go to an all inclusive, then why do you have to pay for drinks at the Lobby Bar????? This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel and you have to pay for drinks. I have travelled all over the Caribbean staying at all inclusive from 2 - 5 star and NEVER have I had to pay for drinks at any of the bars. The entertainment leaves allot to be desired. They must think we are all deaf as they play the music so loud that you cannot hold a conversation with the person next to you without shouting. Especially during the day. I understand that they want everyone to have a good time but not everyone wants to loose their hearing. The spa area was the best part of this place, very quiet - but only after the main stage area turns down their music and they are located at opposite ends of the resort. The beach was beautiful but unfortunately we were constantly bothered by people trying to sell us their items and they really don't take no for an answer. We were given prices for excursion when we arrived but when we tried to book them, they raised the prices even though the lower price was on the internet. I would never give this place a 4 star rating.

D'une manière générale, nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour dans cette propriété. Les chambres et le terrain étaient très bien entretenus et la grande piscine était impeccable. Le buffet était acceptable, mais il est devenu un peu répétitif au fil des sept jours. Nous avons apprécié le steakhouse brésilien deux soirs, et il était exceptionnel. Le personnel de l'hôtel, en particulier le personnel chargé des activités et des divertissements, était très aimable et arrangeant. Great Value! Generally speaking, we really enjoyed our time at this property. The rooms and grounds were maintained very well, and the large pool was immaculate. While the buffet food was acceptable, it did become a bit repetitive over the 7 days. We enjoyed the Brazilian steakhouse two nights, and it was exceptional. The resort staff - especially the activity/entertainment staff - were very freindly and accommodating. They did a great job of organizing activities and keeping folks that wanted to participate, busy. Well done!

L'endroit était propre. J'aime beaucoup ce complexe. C'est bien d'être à Sosua, on peut se promener dans la ville et aller sur d'autres plages. Le casino est proche. La nourriture était bonne. Beaucoup de variété. Les jacuzzis froids étaient agréables quand il faisait chaud. Le personnel était serviable et amical.

Good place. Like being in Sosua Place was kept clean. Really like this resort. Nice being in Sosua, can walk around town and go out to other beaches. Casino is close by. Food was good. Lots of variety. The cold Jacuzzi's where nice on a hot day. The staff was helpful and friendly.

l'hôtel est propre et très accueillant, le terrain est magnifique et très relaxant. Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Superbe centre de villégiature ! Personnel formidable !

Le site est à couper le souffle, la nourriture dans la salle à manger principale est délicieuse, avec un assortiment généreux de choix pour chaque repas. Le personnel d'animation était sympathique et ouvert. Le personnel du bar et de la salle à manger était courtois et amical. On s'est senti chez soi. Nous y retournerons sans aucun doute.

Great resort! Awesome staff! The grounds were breathtaking, the food in the main dining room was delicious with a generous assortment of choices for every meal. The entertainment staff were friendly and outgoing. The bar staff and dining staff courteous and friendly. Made feel at home. Will definitely go again.

Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Les chambres étaient propres et sans insectes

Le terrain était bien entretenu, la vue et les espaces extérieurs étaient magnifiques. Il y avait de petites piscines privées donnant sur l'océan. Le buffet était assez bon, les restaurants supplémentaires étaient tout juste suffisants. Il faut investir dans les chambres. Le week-end, les habitants de la région viennent y passer un moment en famille. L'hôtel est très proche du centre-ville et à seulement 9 km de l'aéroport.

The rooms were clean and free of bugs The grounds were well kept, the views and the outdoor area were amazing. There were small private dipping pools overlooking the ocean. The buffet was good enough, the extra restaurants were just adequate. They need to put some money into the rooms. On the weekend locals come for a family get away. It was very close to downtown and only 9km from the airport.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Excellent rapport qualité-prix et personnel très sympathique

Cet hôtel se trouve à seulement 20 minutes de l'aéroport et le passage de la douane et la montée dans le bus ont été très faciles. L'enregistrement peut prendre un certain temps étant donné le nombre de personnes qui s'enregistrent en même temps, mais le personnel de la réception est très aimable et efficace. Nous avons eu un problème avec la première chambre qui nous a été attribuée, mais il a été résolu dès le lendemain. En ce qui concerne la nourriture, le restaurant buffet était correct et i [... lire plus]l y a trois restaurants à la carte pour lesquels nous n'avons eu aucun problème à obtenir des réservations. La piscine est très belle et bien entretenue. Elle a la forme d'un trèfle à trois feuilles. Les activités aquatiques organisées sont toutes proposées à une extrémité de la piscine, ce qui vous permet d'éviter ce côté si vous n'êtes pas intéressé. Il y a beaucoup de chaises longues sur lesquelles s'asseoir, mais seules quelques-unes d'entre elles avaient des palapas pour l'ombre, et elles ont donc été rapidement prises d'assaut. Nous n'avons pas passé beaucoup de temps sur la plage, mais il y a également beaucoup de chaises longues. Ce complexe a besoin d'être entretenu, mais il y a des signes d'amélioration. Nous avons séjourné dans le bâtiment 5. La salle de bain de notre chambre a été rénovée et nous avions un lit king size qui était aussi dur qu'un rocher. Sinon, la chambre aurait besoin d'un nouveau réfrigérateur (plus froid) et d'une nouvelle télévision. Le personnel de cet hôtel, en général, est incroyablement amical et intéressé par le bien-être des clients. J'ai été surpris par le nombre de langues parlées par le personnel : anglais, français, allemand, italien, espagnol et même néerlandais. Il y a beaucoup de cocktails disponibles, mais si vous n'arrivez pas à vous décider, demandez à Jorge de vous préparer sa boisson fétiche appelée "I don't know" (je ne sais pas).

Great Value and Super-friendly staff This hotel is only 20 minutes from the airport and getting through customs and on the bus was very easy. Check in can take some time given the number of people all checking in at the same time, but the front desk staff are very friendly and efficient. We did have an issue with the first room they gave us, but this was rectified by the next day. As for food, the Buffet restaurant was decent and there are three a la cart restaurants that we had no problems getting reservations for. The pool is very nice and well maintained. It is shaped like a three leaf clover. The organized water activites are all provided at one end of the pool so you can stay clear of that side if you are not interested. There are lots of loungers to sit on, but only a few of them had palapas for shade, so they got snapped up pretty quickly. We did not spend much time on the beach, but there are also lots of loungers there. This resort does need some upkeep but there were signs that they are making improvements. We stayed in building 5. The bathroom in our room was renovated and we had a king sized bed that was as hard as a rock. Otherwise the room could use a new (colder) bar fridge and a new TV. The staff at this hotel, in general, are amazingly friendly and interested in the well-being of the guests. I was amazed at how many languages the staff spoke; English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, even Dutch. The pool bar is a great place to hang out, the staff are great and keep every one entertained. there are lots of cocktails available, but if you can't decide, just ask Jorge to make you his signature drink called 'I don't know'.

Le terrain extérieur est bien entretenu et charmant. La nourriture est bonne... il y en a pour tous les goûts à chaque repas. Le personnel est très amical et le service du personnel de cuisine et de nettoyage est fantastique. Le spa et ses services sont excellents. Les vendeurs de plage sont parmi les plus agressifs que j'aie jamais rencontrés, mais ils finissent par accepter un refus. Le personnel de la réception est très aimable, mais la résolution des problèmes est lente, voire inexistante, m [... lire plus]ême après plusieurs visites. Les chambres sont basiques et propres, rien de spécial et ont besoin d'être rénovées, pas seulement rafraîchies avec de nouvelles peintures... les chambres sont au niveau d'un 2 étoiles. Nous avons eu un problème supplémentaire avec les représentants des excursions sur place ... le premier représentant a donné une série de prix qui correspondait au site Web de la société et le deuxième a augmenté les prix pour la même excursion de 30% le lendemain. Une visite au centre commercial local, situé à quelques minutes de marche du centre de villégiature, a permis de trouver des tongs à 46,50 USD - apparemment, si ce n'est pas la haute saison, les prix sont revus à la hausse. Les magasins, la chambre et le voyagiste sur place nous ont donné envie de ne pas revenir à cet endroit.

The exterior grounds are well maintained and lovely. The food is good ... something for everyone at every meal. The staff are very friendly and service from the food and cleaning staff is fantastic. The spa and its services are great. The beach vendors are some of the most aggressive I have ever encountered, but they will eventually take no for an answer. The front desk staff are very friendly but issue resolutions are slow / never happen even with repeated visits. The rooms are basic and clean, nothing special and need to be renovated not just refreshed with new paint... the rooms are at a 2 star level. We had an additional issue with the on-site tour reps ... the initial rep gave one set of pricing that matched the companies website and the second one increased prices for the same tour by 30% the next day. A visit to the local mall just minutes walking from the resort had flip flops for sale at US$46.50 - apparently if it isn't high season costs are adjusted upwards. Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Une station et des vacances extraordinaires

Le complexe est immense et bien meilleur que les photos du site Internet. Tout était très propre et bien entretenu. Nous avons essayé les restaurants dominicain, mexicain et italien. Je n'étais pas fan du menu du Dominicain, mais je ne mange pas de poisson, alors c'est ma faute si je n'ai pas regardé le menu avant. Mon préféré était le restaurant mexicain, beaucoup de choix et une nourriture incroyable. Le reste de la semaine, les buffets proposaient de nombreuses options et changeaient tous les [... lire plus] jours. La seule fois où j'ai été frustrée par l'endroit, c'était le week-end, quand les locaux venaient et que l'endroit devenait un véritable chaos. Nous y sommes allés en novembre, exprès pour qu'il fasse beau et calme (ce qui était le cas le reste de la semaine) et les week-ends ont donc été décevants. Par contre, la fête du dimanche était extraordinaire et même en basse saison, ils ont tout fait pour que ce soit une grande fête. Notre chambre était une chambre face au jardin, dans le bâtiment 300. Elle était très calme et à quelques pas du buffet du hall et de trois des piscines. L'air conditionné était super froid. Je m'inquiétais vraiment de la séparation entre les zones VIP et les zones normales. Cela ne m'a pas dérangé du tout et j'ai trouvé qu'il n'était pas nécessaire d'opter pour un surclassement. Il y a tellement de choses à faire ailleurs dans la station que les zones où nous n'avons pas été autorisés à aller n'auraient probablement pas eu assez de temps pour en profiter de toute façon. Je recommande de faire le "tour", c'est-à-dire le discours de vente sur le mode de vie. C'est un excellent moyen d'avoir une vue d'ensemble de l'endroit où tout se trouve et ils vous donnent des choses gratuites :) sans pression de vente énorme pression. Les piscines étaient vraiment agréables et presque toutes avaient des bars pour nager ou à proximité. J'ai trouvé la plage un peu visqueuse mais je n'aime pas l'océan. Il y avait beaucoup de chaises et de lits partout, un bar à proximité et un restaurant/snack bar.

Amazing resort and vacation The resort was huge and way better then the website pictures depicted. Everything was very clean and well maintained. We tried the Dominican, Mexican and Italian restaurants. All where very nice, I wasn't a fan of the menu at the Dominican but I don't eat fish so my fault for not looking at the menu first. My favourite was the Mexican, lots of choices and amazing food. The buffets the rest of the week had lots of options and mixed it up everyday. The only time I was ever frustrated with the place was during the weekends when the locals came and the place became total chaos. We went in November on purpose so that it would be nice and quiet (which the rest of the week was) so the weekends where disappointing. The Sunday celebration however was amazing and even in the off season they went all out to make it a great party. Our room was a garden facing room 300 building. It was very quiet and just a steps from the lobby buffet and three of the pools. We had awesome ice cold air conditioning. I was really worried about the separation between VIP and regular areas. I wasn't bothered at all and found it unnecessary to upgrade. There is so much to do elsewhere on the resort that the areas we weren't allowed to go to we probably wouldn't have had enough time to enjoy anyways. I do recommend doing the "tour" slash lifestyle sales pitch. It was a great way to get an overview of where everything is and they give you free stuff :) without huge sales pressure. The pools where really nice and almost all had bars either swim up or close by. I thought the beach was a little slimy but I don't like the ocean. They had lots of chairs and beds around everywhere and again a bar right by and a restaurant/snack bar.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Merveilleux séjour

Nous avons séjourné dans ce complexe avec un groupe de personnes. J'étais nerveuse car j'avais entendu dire que la plage n'était pas aussi belle que celle de Punta Cana. Nous avons trouvé la plage absolument magnifique et nous n'avons pratiquement pas vu d'algues. Le seul inconvénient est d'être constamment harcelé pour visiter le marché ou payer des excursions. A part cela, nous avons adoré notre chambre qui donnait sur la montagne, l'océan et la piscine. Les chambres étaient propres et grandes [... lire plus] et répondaient à nos besoins et elles étaient toujours nettoyées à temps tous les jours. Nous avons trouvé que la nourriture dans ce complexe était excellente. L'omelette au blanc d'œuf servie tous les matins était la meilleure et Robert veillait toujours à ce que nos verres soient remplis d'eau. Au déjeuner, nous choisissions le poisson et ils le cuisinaient. C'était toujours délicieux et il y avait beaucoup de légumes et de salades au choix. Nous avons toujours déjeuné au bar de la piscine, c'était pratique et délicieux. On ne peut pas en dire assez sur le service et la façon dont l'équipe d'animation fait jouer tout le monde à des jeux tels que la pétanque, les fers à cheval et le volley-ball. Il y a beaucoup à faire si vous aimez ce genre de choses. Ils travaillent dur pour vous rendre heureux. La seule chose qui pourrait être améliorée, c'est qu'ils se rendent sur la plage le matin pour demander aux gens s'ils sont intéressés par ces jeux. Nous avons constaté qu'ils demandaient surtout aux gens qui étaient à la piscine. Les cartes étaient géniales et la nourriture délicieuse. Ils ont travaillé sans relâche pour s'assurer que tout le monde reçoive son repas à temps et ont toujours servi avec le sourire. C'est la première fois que j'attends avec impatience les spectacles nocturnes. Ils ont toujours fait du bon travail. M. iberostar était hilarant et leurs spectacles de danse spectaculaires. Nous avons fait l'excursion en téléphérique, que nous recommandons vivement. Nous voulions en faire d'autres mais nous n'étions là que pour cinq nuits. Le soir d'Halloween, ils ont décoré la discothèque et ont créé un couloir hanté. Nous avons été très impressionnés par la qualité de la décoration. Ils ont fait une interprétation de thriller pour tout le monde, ce qui était vraiment bien. Nous nous sommes déguisés, comme beaucoup d'autres personnes. C'était une très bonne soirée pour les enfants et les adultes. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons adoré cet endroit, nous avons rencontré une tonne de personnes d'Angleterre et des États-Unis et nous avons noué de grandes amitiés avec eux. Les employés de l'hôtel nous ont toujours fait sentir les bienvenus. J'ai été choquée de lire certaines des dernières critiques, car ce n'est pas du tout ce que nous avons vécu. Notre groupe a passé un excellent moment et je recommanderais de venir ici à tout moment.

Wonderful stay We stayed at this resort with a group of people. I was nervous as I had heard the beach wasn't as nice as Punta Cana. We found the beach was absolutely beautiful and hardly saw any seaweed. The only down side is being constantly harassed to visit their market or to pay for excursions. Other than that we loved our room as we had a view of the mountain and the ocean and the pool. Rooms were clean and large and met our needs and we're always cleaned on time everyday. We found the food at this resort was excellent. Having an egg white omelette every morning was the best and Robert always made sure our glasses were filled with water. At lunch we would pick the fish and they would cook it. Always delicious and plenty of vegetables and salads to choose from as well. We always had lunch out by the pool bar so it was convenient and delicious. Can't say enough about the service and the way the animation team gets everyone playing games such as bocce ball and horseshoes and volleyball. Tons to do if you like that kind of thing. They sure work hard to keep you happy. Only thing I found that could be improved is for them to come out to the beach in the morning as well to ask if people are interested in these games. We found they mostly asked people that were at the pool. A la cartes were awesome and food delicious. They worked tirelessly to ensure everyone got their food on time and always service with a smile. This was the first time that I ever looked forward to the nightly shows. They always did a great job. Mr iberostar was hilarious and their dance shows spectacular. We did the cable car ride excursion, would highly recommend that. We wanted to do others but were only there five nights. On Halloween night they decorated the disco and had a haunted hallway. We were so impressed at how well this was done. They did a rendition of thriller for everyone which was really good. We dressed up as well as did lots of people. Was a great night for kids and adults alike. All in all we loved this place, met a ton of people from England and the states and made some great friendships with them. The people at the hotel always made us feel welcome. I was shocked to read some of the latest reviews as this was not our experience at all. Our group had a great time and would recommend to come here anytime.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Le meilleur personnel de tous les temps

Le terrain est impeccable et le personnel de l'hôtel, du hall au restaurant en passant par le service de nettoyage, est très aimable et arrangeant. Les restaurants à la carte offraient une grande variété d'options. La plage était propre et le marché Orange, en bas de la plage, était un endroit idéal pour acheter des cadeaux.

Best Staff Ever The grounds are kept immaculate and the hotel staff from lobby to restaurants to maid service were very friendly and accommodating. The a la carte's had a variety of options to choose from. The beach was kept clean and the Orange Market down the beach was a great place to get gifts.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: une période merveilleuse

Complexe hôtelier bien aménagé avec des chambres confortables. Le personnel est très sympathique et les animations nombreuses. Beaucoup de chaises longues et de grandes plages et piscines. La nourriture n'était pas cinq étoiles mais nous n'avons pas eu faim. Beaucoup d'options de fruits de mer. J'ai vraiment aimé le mélange de touristes ici. Il y avait des gens du Canada, des États-Unis, de l'Amérique du Sud et de l'Europe.

wonderful time Nicely laid out resort with comfortable rooms. Great friendly staff with lots of entertainment. Plenty of lounge chairs and large beach and pool area. Food was not five star but we did not go hungry. Lots of seafood options. I really liked the tourist mix here. There were people from Canada USA South America and Europe.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Superbe séjour en RD !

Je n'étais jamais allé en RD, ma femme y était allée il y a environ 20 ans, et à d'autres occasions. Dans l'ensemble, ce fut une belle semaine au soleil, et oui, il faisait beau et chaud. J'avais entendu dire que sortir de la station n'était pas une bonne idée pour des raisons de sécurité, mais comme je suis un coureur, je l'ai fait tous les jours et je n'ai trouvé que des habitants sympathiques et j'ai pu voir la merveilleuse campagne. Quant à la station elle-même, elle était merveilleuse et le [... lire plus] personnel m'a aidée à tous points de vue. J'ai également passé chaque jour à utiliser la salle de sport/spa de l'hôtel. Comme c'était en partie à l'air libre, c'était comme faire de l'exercice dans un hammam, mais c'était tout de même agréable, avec un bon équipement. La plage et la piscine étaient excellentes, avec un personnel toujours disponible pour aider et/ou organiser des jeux amusants pour lesquels les gagnants recevaient une médaille, etc. tous les soirs avant les spectacles, qui étaient également de première classe et très bien organisés tous les jours ! Un jour avant notre départ, un grand groupe est arrivé pour ce qui semblait être une fête de mariage, ils étaient jeunes et ont installé un boombox au bord de la piscine et ont diffusé de la musique hip hop pour que "tout le monde en profite", j'ai pensé que le personnel aurait pu faire un effort pour les ralentir car c'était très fort et cela a empiété sur la belle musique de l'île diffusée sur le système de l'hôtel, mais cela mis à part, c'était un petit problème et à part cela, c'est un excellent complexe où nous retournerions n'importe quand avec des amis !

Great time in DR! I had never been to DR, my wife had been there apx 20 years ago, and at different done. Overall, this was a lovely week in the sun, and yes it was sunny, and hot as well. I had heard that going off the resort was not a good idea for safety reasons, but being a runner I did so every day and found nothing but friendly locals and I got to see the wonderful countryside. As for the resort itself, it was wonderful and the staff helpful in every way. I spent each day as well using the resort gym/spa. As it was partly open air, it was like working out in a steam room!, but it was enjoyable all the same, with good equipment. The beach and pool areas were excellent, with staff always on hand to help and/or set up fun games in which the winners were given a medal etc every night before the evening shows, which were also first class and well everyday! One day before we left, a large group came in for what appeared to be a wedding party, they were young and set up a boombox pool side and blasted hip hop music for "all to enjoy", I thought the staff could have made an effort to tone them down as it was very loud and took away from the nice island music playing on the hotel system, but that aside, it was a small issue and otherwise a great resort we would go back to any time with friends!
