L'endroit était sympa, en plein dans la ville, ce qui était cool, la nourriture était correcte, le resort était sympa aussi, les chambres étaient simples mais propres, je n'aimais pas les time shares, ils se promènent toute la journée pour vous embêter ils se promènent toute la journée pour vous embêter, il fallait le leur dire plus d'une fois, sinon, attendez la dernière minute et vous obtenez une très bonne affaire. Je ne paierais pas plus de 700 $ par personne pour ce voyage

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: J'adore la plage !!!

La taille de ce complexe est impressionnante ! Nous avons eu la chance de loger dans le bâtiment 307, à proximité des piscines, de la plage et du Pearl Buffet. J'ai apprécié le fait que l'on puisse réserver un restaurant à la carte chaque jour plutôt que de manger au buffet. La nourriture était bonne - il y avait toujours beaucoup de choix pour satisfaire tous les caprices. Le transport vers les différentes plages et les restaurants était assuré et arrivait toujours à temps - si nous devions att [... lire plus]endre, c'était 5 minutes tout au plus pour les navettes. La plage principale n'était jamais bondée et nous avons toujours réussi à trouver un lit. Cependant, le seul point négatif est le grand nombre d'escaliers menant au hall d'entrée du Cofresi. Si quelqu'un a du mal à monter ou à descendre les escaliers, ce centre de villégiature lui posera des problèmes.

Love the beach!!! The size of this resort is overwhelming!!! We were fortunate enough to stay in building 307 - close to pools, the beach, and Pearl Buffet. I appreciated the fact that you can make à la carte restaurant reservations each day rather than eating at the Buffet. The food was good - always many choices to satisfy your every whim. Transportation to the various beaches and restaurants was provided and always arrived in a timely fashion - if we had to wait, it was 5 minutes at the most for the shuttles. The main beach was never crowded and we always managed to find a bed. However, the one down side has to be the many stairs leading to the Cofresi lobby area. If someone has difficulty with walking up or down stairs, this resort would pose challenges.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: C'était bien

L'hôtel est fatigué et a besoin d'un peu de soin. La chambre sentait le renfermé et les meubles étaient abîmés, le pire étant les lits qui étaient si inconfortables. La nourriture était très bonne et les gens étaient très gentils. Il y a des gens qui essaient constamment de vous faire acheter des actions, alors soyez catégorique dès le début sur le fait que vous n'êtes pas intéressé.

It was ok The resort is tired and in need of some TLC. The room was musty and the furniture was beat up, the worst part was the beds they were so uncomfortable. The food was really good and the people were really nice. They have people constantly trying to get you to buy shares so just be adamant from the beginning you are not interested.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Grand centre de villégiature !

Ce centre de villégiature a dépassé mes attentes. J'étais un peu hésitant car on m'avait déjà recommandé d'autres complexes et les hôtels n'étaient pas très bien. La piscine est superbe et vraiment grande. J'y suis allée en juillet, donc la plupart des touristes étaient des locaux et parlaient surtout espagnol. C'était calme et relaxant. Les chambres étaient standard et propres. Les mini-fourmis étaient un problème dans la salle de bain, mais vous aurez tendance à voir cela dans beaucoup d'endro [... lire plus]its où vous allez. Cela n'a pas perturbé notre séjour. La nourriture était bonne mais peu variée. Ce que vous aviez pour le déjeuner était ce que vous verriez pour le dîner avec un ajout de viande ou de poisson. Les restaurants étaient incroyables ! Je vous recommande de réserver et d'aller dans chacun d'entre eux. La nourriture était excellente ! Les activités étaient également très bonnes. Le personnel était très sympathique et il y avait des activités tous les jours tous les jours. Nous avons eu du beau temps tous les jours, pas de pluie pendant toute la semaine où nous étions là. La plage était correcte, mais en raison de vents très forts, le sable a été emporté partout, ce qui n'a pas facilité l'entretien, j'en suis sûr, pour le personnel. L'océan contenait beaucoup d'algues. Je recommande cet hôtel et j'y retournerai. Allez visiter SEA WORLD - je vous le recommande vivement. Great Resort! This resort exceeded my expectations. I was a little hesitant as I have been given recommendations for other resorts before and the hotels were not ok. The pool is great and really big. I did go in July so most of the tourists were locals and mostly spoke spanish. It was quiet and relaxing. Rooms were standard, clean. Mini Ants were an issue in bathroom, but you will tend to see this alot of places you go. It did not interfere with our stay. The food was good but not much variety. What you had for lunch was what you would see for dinner with a meat / fish addition. The restaurants were amazing ! I recommend that you ensure you make your reservations and go to all of these. The food was great! The activities were also really good. Very friendly staff and there were activities every day. We had great weather every day, no rain for the full week we were there. The beach was ok, but due to very high winds, the sand blew all over so it was not an easy maintenance I'm sure for staff. Ocean had lots seaweed. I'd recommend this hotel, and I would return again. Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Un plaisir étonnant

La station est un endroit extraordinaire en soi. Mais la plage est trop profonde si vous avez de petits enfants, vous ne pouvez pas aller dans l'eau et les vagues sont trop grandes. La station est grande, propre et sympathique, ma mère avait un grand fan au klab des enfants, je crois qu'elle s'appelait Viktoria, elle était si gentille et si bonne. Le shou at naught était génial. Les cours d'aérobic étaient très intéressants. Nous y avons rencontré beaucoup de monde. La nourriture était bonne, ma [... lire plus]is nous avons demandé plus de poisson, car il n'y en avait pas beaucoup. La piscine était belle et propre, grande à mon goût. La seule chose était qu'il y avait beaucoup de gras dans l'eau et personne ne nettoyait que lorsque vous allez sur le matin est nace si est propre, de sorte que lorsque vous marchez à l'eau et le retour vous êtes plein de gras et de sourire .usuli la propreté avec l'espace masine dans d'autres plis, mais ici je ne sais pas ce qui était. Nous avons eu un bon apprivoisement.

Amazing pleace The resort is amazing place it self. But the beach is too deep if yoo goo weth smal cheldren you can not go to the water and the Waws are to big . Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: une expérience peu agréable

Le terrain de l'hôtel est propre. Cependant, ce complexe peut avoir une grave infestation de gros rats. Les gros rongeurs sautent librement dans le hall principal pendant la journée et ont frappé la jambe de ma fille. Nous sommes allés trois fois dans cet hôtel et n'avons pas l'intention d'y retourner.

not a pleasant experience The hotel ground is kept clean. However this resort may.have a serious big rats infestation. The large rodents jump freely in the main lobby during day time and hit my daughter leg. We have been @ this resort three times with no plans to ever return again.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Superbe escapade en famille !

Station très propre et conviviale. Le personnel était extrêmement sympathique. Les chambres étaient propres. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour. Le seul point négatif est que les restaurants ne nous ont pas beaucoup aidés en ce qui concerne les allergies alimentaires et qu'il a fallu beaucoup de temps pour obtenir de l'aide de la part de la réception.

Great Family Getaway! Very clean, friendly resort. Staff was extremely friendly. Rooms were clean. Really enjoyed our stay. Only negative feedback is that there wasn't much support from the restaurants with regards to food allergies and it took a long time to get assistance from front desk.

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Superbes vacances, j'ai eu peur au début

Nous avons obtenu un bon prix grâce à Trip Central. Les photos étaient superbes et m'ont fait craquer. Beaucoup de critiques mitigées mais j'ai décidé de réserver quand même car j'espérais qu'il y aurait beaucoup de choses à faire et les gens se sont trompés. Cette station est géniale !! la nourriture est bonne, les gens sont gentils, il y a beaucoup de piscines et de bars à choisir. Je me suis assuré que nous prenions le forfait Noli plus qui nous a permis d'avoir une suite située au centre, ce [... lire plus] qui était parfait ! Je pense que si vous êtes une personne décontractée et facile à vivre qui ne cherche pas les aspects négatifs, vous passerez un très bon moment ! Notre chambre n'était pas immense mais avait un lit king size et un grand patio qui était parfait pour nous, le buffet est bon aussi mais si vous êtes un mangeur difficile, je peux comprendre pourquoi certaines personnes ne sont pas d'accord. Le buffet est bon, mais si vous êtes difficile à manger, je peux comprendre pourquoi certaines personnes ne sont pas d'accord. Ce que j'ai remarqué, c'est que l'alcool et les liqueurs qu'ils utilisent sont fabriqués localement et que rien n'est mauvais. L'inconvénient est que l'A la carte est allé à 1 des 3 simplement parce que nous n'avons pas pu les changer à cause du temps et de la réservation, mais ce n'était pas grave puisque nous avons apprécié le buffet et que le buffet avait des soirées à thème.La soirée mousse était géniale, la soirée VIP géniale, la soirée de bienvenue géniale. Nous avons fait 2 excursions chutes d'eau et plongée avec masque et tuba, génial !!!! J'y retournerais sans aucun doute et si vous avez des réservations comme je l'ai fait, je vous dis de ne pas les faire. Il y a beaucoup de choses à faire et à voir. J'ai l'impression que les critiques négatives proviennent souvent de personnes très pointilleuses qui voyagent beaucoup et qui comparent ce complexe à d'autres plus intéressants qu'elles ont visités. Si vous n'aimez pas marcher ou attendre les navettes alors ce n'est pas pour vous, j'ai aimé me promener et vérifier les choses aussi rien n'est à plus de 5 min à pied ou presque mais pour certains cela peut être beaucoup. Great vacation, was scared at first We got a great price through trip central the pictures looked awesome and got me hooked. A lot of mixed reviews but decided to book anyways as I was hoping there would be a lot to do and people were wrong. This resort is great!! foods good, people are nice, a lot of pools and bars to choose from. I made sure we got the Noli plus package which got us in a central located suite, which was perfect!! I believe if you are a laid back easy going person that doesn't look for negatives you will have a great time! Our room wasn't huge but had a king size bed and large patio which was perfect for us, the buffet is good to but if you are a picky eater I can see why some people may not agree. The drinks I thought were delicious, not watered down or made with not good alcohol. What I noticed is the alcohol and liqueurs they do use are locally made and nothing is wrong with them. My fave drink was the lifestyle party ( milk, grenadine, blue curacao), or the banana mama. Downfall would be the A la carte went to 1 of the 3 simply because we were unable to change them due to time and booking, but wasn't a big deal since we enjoyed the buffet and the buffet had theme nights.Foam party was awesome, VIP party Awesome, Welcome party awesome. We did 2 excursions waterfalls and snorkeling, awesome!!!! I would definitely go back again and if you are having reservations like I did I say don't. Go with an open mind and are laid back you will have fun there is a lot to do and see. Now have been there I feel like the negative reviews come a lot from very picky people who prob travel a lot!! and may compare this resort to better ones they have been too. If you don't like walking or waiting for shuttles then this is not for you, I enjoyed walking around and checking things out also nothing is more then a 5 min or so walk away but for some that can be a lot. Anyways I hope this review helps great price, great hotel, reviews scared!!!! me but quickly realized for myself that they weren't as true or as big of a deal as made out be.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Très impressionné par le Riu Bachata

Il s'agissait d'un séjour de dernière minute avec les filles, et nous avons payé environ 1000 $ en nous attendant à un hébergement médiocre, mais il s'est avéré être l'un des endroits les plus agréables que j'aie jamais vus. La nourriture était bonne, la plage était magnifique et les chambres d'hôtel étaient propres et grandes. L'atmosphère était amusante, amicale et en même temps relaxante. J'y retournerai sans aucun doute.

Very impressed with Riu Bachata This was a last minute holilday with the girls, and we paid around $1000 expecting mediocre accomodations but it turned out to be one of the nicest places I'd been to. The food was good, beach was beautiful, and hotel rooms clean and large. The atmosphere was fun, friendly yet relaxing at the same time. Will definitely go back.

Plage épouvantable, tonnelle où se déroulaient les mariages en mauvais état, abat-jour manquants ou sales, hall d'entrée dépassé et peu serviable, certains jours les chambres n'étaient pas nettoyées avant 17 ou 18 heures. Nourriture tout juste correcte. Mangé vivant par une sorte de moustique dans la chambre.

Nous avons passé une semaine de vacances en février 2014. Le personnel était sympathique et travaillait dur. Nous avons apprécié la plage avec son récif ; les vagues étaient spectaculaires ; probablement pas sûr pour les enfants ; si vous savez nager, il pourrait être amusant. Les chambres ne sont pas extraordinaires mais c'est propre ; La porte patio devait être réparée dans notre chambre et celle de nos amis ; Pour le coffre-fort nous avons dû payer un supplément ; La salle de bain était corre [... lire plus]cte mais parfois pas d'eau ; Les couloirs sont bruyants. Les couloirs sont bruyants. La nourriture était bonne et le choix assez large. L'emplacement était intéressant, vous avez Sosua à la porte de l'hôtel (terrain de baseball ; motos animées (attention les trottoirs sont très étroits) ; taxi prêt à vous emmener partout ; il y a de bons restaurants à découvrir).

Casual resort. We had one week vacation last February 2014. The staffs were friendly and hard worker. We enjoyed the beach with its reef; the waves were spectacular; probably not safe for kids; if you know how to swim it could be fun. The rooms are not extraordinary but it's clean; The patio door needed to be fixed in our room and the room of our friends; For the safe we had to pay extra; The bathroom was okay but sometime no water; The corridors are noisy. The food was good and quite a good choice. The location was interesting, you have Sosua at the door of the hotel (base ball field; lively motorcycles (take care the sidewalks are very narrow); taxi ready to take you around; there are good restaurants to discover).

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Blue Bay Villas Doradas

C'était la première fois que nous allions dans un complexe réservé aux adultes. Nous étions un groupe de 4 personnes âgées de 48 à 55 ans et nous étions parmi les plus jeunes. Nous étions dans la section NoliPlus, près du spa, et nous avions l'impression d'être dans une maison de retraite. Les personnes âgées se rendent dans cette station pendant des mois et ont "revendiqué" cette zone de la station. On a l'impression de déranger tant c'est calme, personne ne parle et il n'y a pas de musique. Le [... lire plus] seul problème que nous avons rencontré avec notre chambre est qu'elle n'a été prête que très tard le jour de notre arrivée. Nous avons dû partager la chambre d'un ami jusqu'à ce que la nôtre soit prête. Nous avons été parmi les plus chanceux ! Si vous décidez d'aller ici, apportez une impression du forfait que vous avez payé car plusieurs couples ont dû se battre avec la réception pour obtenir le niveau de chambre qu'ils avaient acheté. Il y a eu de nombreux problèmes tout au long de la semaine avec d'autres clients et la réception. Le complexe était surbooké et les clients qui arrivaient en retard étaient envoyés dans d'autres "complexes" qui n'étaient pas dans les meilleures conditions. Les chambres occupées étaient données aux nouveaux arrivants, les clés des chambres devaient être remplacées presque tous les jours, les chambres étaient inondées à la suite d'une pluie nocturne. Il était fréquent de voir des nouveaux arrivants se rendre à leur chambre avec leurs bagages, puis faire demi-tour et retourner à la réception une fois qu'ils avaient vu leur chambre ! Encore une fois, nos problèmes de chambre étaient mineurs par rapport à d'autres. La nourriture était répétitive et si vous vouliez du bacon au petit déjeuner, vous deviez donner un pourboire - nous n'avons jamais vu cela auparavant et nous sommes allés dans beaucoup de stations balnéaires ! Est-ce que je retournerais ici ? Non. Et je ne le recommanderais pas non plus.

This was our first time at an Adult Only resort. We were a group of 4 aged between 48-55 and we were amongst the youngest people there. We were in the NoliPlus section by the Spa and felt like we were in a retirement home. Seniors go to this resort for months at a time and have "claimed" this area of the resort. You feel like you are intruding there as it is so quiet with no one talking and no music. The only issue we had with our room was it was not ready until very late the day we arrived. We actually had to share our friends room until ours was ready. We were among the lucky ones! If you do decide to go here, bring a printout of the package you paid for as several couples had to fight with the front desk to get the level of room they had purchased. There were numerous issues throughout the week with other guests and the front desk. The resort was overbooked and late guest arriving would be shipped off to other "resorts" which were not in the best conditions. Occupied rooms were given to new arrivals, room keys had to be replaced almost daily, rooms flooded from an overnight rain. It became a daily occurrence to see new arrivals trudge to their rooms with their luggage and turn right around and head back to the front desk once they saw their room! Again, our room issues were minor compared to others. The food was repetitive and if you wanted bacon at breakfast you had to tip for it - never saw that before and we have been to many resorts! Would I go back here ... No. And, I could not recommend it either.

stupendous resort the whole experience was very worth while. I brought my son on his first ever trip to an all inclusive resort.. at the `òld age`of 50. he was like a kid in a candy store. I am a very experienced traveller and I was very impressed by the service, the gourmet class food served by an experienced and helpful staff who looked after all of our needs, the rooms were first class , being on the beach , was a pleasant surprise. thanks to all.

je vais au RIU Bachata depuis 2 ans maintenant et je ne séjournerais nulle part ailleurs. l'endroit est formidable, de la nourriture au personnel de l'hôtel. ils sont tous très sympathiques. la piscine est formidable avec 2 piscines, elle est très propre. les lits sont confortables. je recommanderais le RIU Bachata à n'importe qui.

great place to stay i have bee going to the RIU Bachata for 2 years now and i would not stay any where else.The place is great right from the food to the hotel staff. they are all very friendly. the pool is great with 2 pools,its very clean. the beds are comfortable. i would recommend the RIU Bachata to anyone.

L'hôtel était très propre. Le terrain était très bien entretenu. La nourriture était très bonne, il y avait beaucoup de variétés différentes à choisir. Les chambres étaient propres. Le personnel d'animation était excellent. Le bar extérieur aurait été mieux avec des tabourets autour, afin de mieux interagir avec les gens. Le bar de la piscine n'était certainement pas le meilleur où j'ai été, il y a donc certainement des améliorations à apporter. Very nice resort Thought the hotel was very clean. Grounds were extremely well kept. Food was very good, lots of different variety's to choose from. Rooms were clean. Entertainment staff were excellent. Outside bar area, would have been better with stools around it, so as to interact better with people. The swim up bar, certainly wasn't the best I have been to, so definitely room for improvement. The location and size of the property was perfect.

Comme nous sommes Canadiens, et très polis de surcroît, nous étions enclins à rester là, mais nous avons finalement décidé que, puisque nous étions ici pour passer les meilleures vacances possibles, nous allions demander - juste pour voir. Le personnel de la réception a été merveilleux et nous a invités à revenir le dimanche (nous sommes arrivés le jeudi) pour faire un changement. Nous avons passé la dernière moitié de la journée à regarder l'océan à travers les palmiers - cela vaut donc parfois la peine de demander ! La nourriture était merveilleuse et abondante. Nous avons mangé à toutes les cartes sur place, et toutes étaient bonnes, mais aucune ne s'est démarquée. Le buffet était excellent et très varié, et il y avait souvent quelque chose d'extra, donc nous aurions volontiers mangé là tous les soirs. Le bar du hall était un endroit agréable pour se détendre le soir, et pour danser au son du groupe si l'envie nous en prenait. Les magasins sur place étaient pratiques pour acheter des souvenirs de dernière minute, mais une promenade le long de la plage permet également d'accéder à de nombreux marchés où l'on peut acheter toutes sortes d'objets d'artisanat dominicain. Encore une fois, étant canadiens, et donc allergiques au marchandage, nous nous sommes probablement fait avoir, mais peu importe. Notre excursion préférée a été de loin celle des chutes. Nous aurions aimé qu'elle soit plus longue ! Nous avons également visité le téléférique qui, si je me souviens bien, était rattaché à une visite de la ville, ce qui a rendu la journée un peu longue, mais globalement agréable. Hormis le fait que nous essayons généralement de ne pas revenir sur nos pas, nous retournerions volontiers à l'iberostar. Nous avons passé le moment de détente que nous recherchions et nous sommes rentrés chez nous reposés, bronzés et heureux d'avoir vécu cette expérience.

Wonderful getaway We visited in february of 2014 for an adults only week of fun in the sun. The grounds are striking, and this is obvious on arrival. Staff are constantly tending to public areas, but are inconspicuous and always pleasant. Our room was a little disappointing. It had a damp, musty, closed up smell, and although it was clean, it also faced the loading doc of the neighbouring resort where trucks come and go constantly, so there is a good deal of not so good noise. Since we are Canadian, and extra polite to boot, we were inclined to stick it out, but decided, ultimately, that since we were here to have the best possible vacation, we would ask-just to see. Front desc staff were wonderful and invited us to come back on Sunday (we arrived thursday) to make a switch. We spent the last half looking at the ocean through palm trees-so sometimes it pays to ask! The food was wonderful, and plentiful. We ate at all a la cartes on site, and all were good, but none a standout. The buffet was excellent, and quite varied, and there was often something extra going on, so we would happily have eaten there every night. The lobby bar was a lovely place to relax at night, and to dance to the band if the mood strikes. On site stores were handy for picking up last minute souvenirs, but a walk down the beach also takes you to multiple markets where all manner of dominican craft can be purchased. Again, being canadian, and thus allergic to bargaining, we probably got taken for a ride, but whatever. Our favourite excursion by far was to the falls. We wish it had been longer! We also visited the teleferico which, if i remember rightly, was attached to a tour of the city, making for a bit of a long, but overall enjoyable day. Except for the fact that we generally try not to retrace our steps, we would gladly go back to the iberostar. We had just the unwinding time we were after, and came home rested, tanned, and happy for the experience.
