Melia Jardines del Rey: Merveilleux centre de villégiature ; excellents équipements, personnel attentif, plage magnifique

Nous avons passé un merveilleux moment dans ce resort en décembre 2017. Cela ne fait que quelques mois depuis l'ouragan Irma, et le personnel s'est bousculé pour que les terrains soient à nouveau beaux. Je dirais que c'est l'un des plus beaux complexes hôteliers de Cayo Coco. Il n'est pas parfait, comme rien ne l'est à Cuba, mais une grande partie du complexe est magnifique. Nous avons essayé de leur donner un pourboire d'au moins un peso chaque fois que nous avons utilisé un service (et ils d [... lire plus]épendent des pourboires pour survivre à Cuba). L'équipe de divertissement est particulièrement talentueuse, et il y avait une excellente variété de divertissements dans le théâtre et le hall chaque soir. Nous avons découvert qu'il est préférable de se rendre tôt dans le hall pour obtenir une bonne place. Une suggestion pour l'hôtel serait de prévoir plus de places assises en vue des artistes du hall. La nourriture était correcte ; ils font du mieux qu'ils peuvent avec ce qui est disponible à Cuba. Comme les habitués le savent, on ne visite pas Cuba pour la nourriture. Nous avons apprécié les restaurants à thème cubain et tex-mex. La nourriture du restaurant méditerranéen était décevante. Mes plats préférés pendant cette semaine ont été le café cubain riche commandé au bar du hall, les bananes flambées fraîches au rhum et les crêpes du buffet principal, et la crème glacée à la noix de coco (lorsqu'elle était disponible). Je recommande de prendre un café brûlant dans le hall le soir. Les boissons et les alcools de l'hôtel sont toujours de première qualité, même si nous avons eu quelques difficultés à obtenir un mojito (à cause du manque de citron vert et de menthe ?) La meilleure partie de ce complexe est la plage : du sable blanc magnifique et des eaux turquoises claires et peu profondes. Si vous marchez un peu sur le côté droit de la plage, vous pouvez vous aventurer sur une langue de sable jonchée de coquillages et de coraux. C'était tout à fait extraordinaire. Nous aurions pu continuer à marcher sur une bonne distance autour de la flèche de sable, mais nous étions préoccupés par la marée montante. J'aurais aimé m'en rendre compte plus tôt, mais le personnel de la plage emmène les clients faire de la plongée avec masque et tuba à 10 heures du matin (nous avons payé une excursion séparée en catamaran pour faire de la plongée avec masque et tuba). J'ai beaucoup apprécié mon séjour ici et j'ai l'intention d'y retourner dès que possible. Jennifer

Wonderful resort; great facilities, attentive staff, amazing beach We had a wonderful time at this resort in December 2017. It has only been a few months since hurricane Irma, and the staff have hustled to get the grounds looking lovely again. I would guess this is one of the nicest resorts in Cayo Coco. It's not perfect, as nothing is in Cuba, but much of the resort is beautiful. The staff were attentive and friendly, we tried to tip them at least a peso every time we used a service (and they depend on tips to survive in Cuba). The entertainment staff is especially talented, and there was an excellent variety of entertainment in the theatre and lobby each night. We discovered that it is best to get to the lobby early to get a good seat. One suggestion for the resort would be providing more seating in view of lobby performers. The food was okay; they do the best they can with what is available in Cuba. As the regulars know, you dont visit Cuba for the food. We enjoyed the Cuban themed and Tex Mex restaurants. The food at the Mediterranean restaurant was disappointing. My favorite food items during this week became the rich cafe Cubano ordered from the lobby bar, the fresh made flaming bananas with rum and crepes from the main buffet, and the coconut ice cream (when available). I recommend getting a flaming hard coffee in the lobby in the evening. The drinks and liquor at the resort were always top notch, although we had some difficulty getting a mojito (due to lack of limes and mint?) The best part of this resort is the beach; beautiful white sand and shallow, clear turquoise waters. If you walk a ways to the far right hand side of the beach you can walk far out onto a sand spit littered with seashells and coral. It was quite amazing. We could have continued walking for quite a distance around the sandspit though we were concerned about the tide coming in. I wish I had realized it earlier but the staff on the beach takes guests out snorkelling at 10am (We paid for a seperate catamaran snorkelling trip). I greatly enjoyed my time here and plan on returning as soon as possible. Jennifer

Melia Las Antillas: très bon hôtel / très bon personnel

ma cinquième fois dans le même hôtel je ne suis pas fan de la nourriture cubaine, mais j'aime Cuba, la plage et les gens. si vous n'êtes pas très exigeant et que vous aimez le soleil, la plage et la propreté de l'endroit, il vaut la peine d'y aller 100 000 fois bonne continuation et amusez-vous bien merci beaucoup

great hotel/ great staff my fifth time in the same hotel not fan of Cuban food but love Cuba and beach and people.. if you are not high maintenance and would like sun and beach and clean place worth it 100000 times enjoy and have fun cheers

nous sommes retournés pour la soirée italienne qui s'est déroulée de la même manière. La nourriture était affreuse et nous avons dû descendre les escaliers pour aller au buffet... la nourriture du buffet était correcte mais c'était la même chose pratiquement tous les soirs. nous avons dû changer de chambre car il y avait une odeur la plage était sale

poor food awful. went to a la carte had to leave food was that bad and went to buffet down stairs where we meet people who did the seem thing. we went back again for the italian night which resulted in same thing food was awful had to down stairs to the buffet again...the food in the buffet was fair but the same thing basically every night.. had to change rooms there was a smell beach was dirty

Melia Marina Varadero: Excellent centre de villégiature !

La nourriture était vraiment bonne pour Cuba, le plan européen offre l'option de cartes journalières tout compris, ce qui est agréable. Le personnel était très sympathique. La promenade était très agréable le soir. Le spectacle de cirque était incroyable ! Nous y retournerions certainement. Un bon choix si vous ne voulez pas nécessairement vous asseoir sur la plage et boire.

Great resort! Food was really good for Cuba, European plan has the option of all-inclusive day passes which is nice. Staff was very nice. The promenade was very nice in the evenings. The circus show was amazing! We would certainly go back. A good choice if you don't necessarily want to just sit on the beach and drink.

Sol Varadero Beach: Complexe hôtelier magnifiquement intégré, directement sur la plage !

C'était ma toute première expérience d'hôtel tout compris ! Je suis arrivée le soir après la tombée de la nuit, alors le matin, j'ai été étonnée de voir les palmiers bien intégrés et la végétation luxuriante qui s'étendaient jusqu'à la plage. Ma chambre elle-même (dans le complexe Sirenas) était fonctionnelle et propre, mais un peu trop rustique. Cela ne me dérangeait pas car j'ai l'esprit aventureux, mais il y avait des taches de marqueur sur les couvertures de lit et l'une des charnières s'es [... lire plus]t détachée de ma porte à la fin de mon séjour. Outre le fait que l'éclairage des couloirs extérieurs ne s'allumait qu'à une certaine heure (bien après la tombée de la nuit), il manquait également quelques ampoules dans le couloir extérieur menant aux chambres où se trouvait la mienne. J'ai beaucoup apprécié les options de buffet et de repas du soir à la carte proposées par le complexe. J'ai également apprécié le dîner spécial de la veille de Noël et le spectacle d'animaux pour les enfants (le jour de Noël). Le personnel de la salle à manger était excellent, en particulier Mana ! ¡Muchas gracias ! En conclusion, je suis convaincu qu'une amélioration générale des chambres améliorerait l'expérience dans ce complexe.

Beautifully integrated resort, right on the beach! This was my very first all-inclusive hotel experience! I arrived after dark in the evening, so in the morning, I was amazed to see the well-integrated palm trees and lush vegetation extending all the way to the beach. My room itself (in the Sirenas complex) was functional and clean, but a little bit too rustic. I didn't mind because I have an adventurous spirit, but there were marker stains on the bed covers and one of the hinges fell out of my door at the end of my stay. In addition to the fact that exterior hallway lighting only went on at a certain time (much after dark), there were also some lightbulbs missing in the exterior hallway leading to the rooms where mine was located. I really liked the buffet and à la carte evening meal options on the resort. I also enjoyed the special Christmas Eve dinner and animal show for children (on Christmas Day). The dining room staff was excellent, especially Mana! ¡Muchas gracias! In conclusion, I strongly feel that an overall upgrading of the rooms would enhance the experience on this particular resort.

Hotel Camino del Mar: Superbe station balnéaire

J'ai séjourné dans ce centre de villégiature du 22 au 29 décembre. J'ai été choqué après avoir vu les photos de la dévastation causée par Irma et j'ai été choqué à nouveau lorsque je suis arrivé de voir tout le travail acharné que les employés et les commerçants ont fait et continuent de faire, pour remettre ce complexe en état de marche en seulement quelques mois. Les améliorations sont incroyables et l'endroit est magnifique. Beaucoup de visages familiers, ce qui était agréable à voir et, comm [... lire plus]e d'habitude, nous avons été accueillis à bras ouverts. Merci d'avoir écouté les clients, avec l'ajout de nombreuses nouvelles cabanes d'ombrage et palapas. La jetée est superbe et ils étaient en train d'installer l'éclairage le dernier jour de mes vacances. La climatisation du buffet fonctionnait très bien et la nourriture était abondante et délicieuse. Je ne suis pas allé à l'International mais j'ai dîné au Mediterranean un soir et je n'ai malheureusement pas de bonnes critiques à faire à ce sujet. Ce n'était pas bon. Le steak était si dur qu'il ne pouvait pas être coupé et a donc été gaspillé. La soupe était insipide et froide. L'italien manque vraiment, ils devraient peut-être repenser le restaurant méditerranéen et revenir à l'italien car je sais que je n'ai jamais eu un mauvais repas là-bas. A part ce défaut, mes vacances ont été excellentes et je recommanderais certainement ce complexe à mes amis et à ma famille.

Awesome resort Was at this resort from Dec 22 - Dec 29. I have been to this resort many times and was shocked after seeing the pictures of the devastation caused by Irma and was shocked again when I arrived to see all the hard work that the employees and tradesman did and are continuing to do, to get this resort back up and running in just a few short months. The improvements are amazing and the place looks beautiful. Lots of familiar faces which was nice to see and as usual was welcomed there with open arms. Thank you for listening to the clients, with the addition of many new shade huts and palapas. Pier looks great and they were just putting the lighting up on the last day of my vacation. Buffet's air conditioning was working great and food was plentiful and delicious. Did not make it to the International but went the Mediterranean for dinner one night and sadly don't have a good review here. It was not good. The steak was so tough that it could not be cut so therefore went to waste. The soup was tasteless and cold. Definitely miss the Italian, they may want to rethink the Mediterranean restaurant and go back to the Italian as I know I never had a bad meal there. Other than that one flaw, my vacation was excellent and would definitely recommend this resort to friends and family.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Belle station balnéaire

L'hôtel était très bien, d'autant plus qu'il n'avait rouvert que récemment après l'ouragan. Le personnel était formidable, très amical. Les animations étaient phénoménales. La nourriture était terrible, mais il fallait s'y attendre. Elle était chaude et n'a rendu personne malade. Il y avait toujours de l'eau chaude dans la douche et de l'eau propre en bouteille. La plage était pleine de beaux coquillages et de coraux jusqu'à 10-15 pieds dans l'eau, ce qui n'était pas agréable pour les pieds s [... lire plus]ans chaussures d'eau. Les piscines étaient belles et propres mais les joints étaient rugueux et laissaient les pieds de nos enfants ensanglantés lorsqu'ils jouaient à chat dans l'eau (ils couraient partout et ne se contentaient pas de patauger). Les boissons étaient délicieuses et il y avait beaucoup de choix. Le cappuccino était très bon. La procédure d'enregistrement était impeccable et notre chambre était prête. Les femmes de chambre ont été très utiles lorsque nos enfants n'étaient pas bien. Elles ont nettoyé rapidement et ont fait un excellent travail. Ma sœur avait une chambre pour elle, son mari et ses deux enfants et ils n'ont pas reçu de lit d'appoint avant la troisième nuit, si bien qu'ils dormaient à 4 par lit. Le nombre de canapés extractibles doit être limité car nous en avions un pour nos deux enfants. Pas de serviettes de plage pendant un jour ou deux, mais je ne pense pas qu'il s'agisse d'un problème propre à l'hôtel. Le personnel de plage empile toutes les chaises de plage et vous en apportera une lorsque vous aurez trouvé votre place, ce qui vous évitera d'errer sans but. Les activités pour les enfants étaient incroyables. Ils ont adoré le spectacle pour enfants tous les soirs et les traitent très bien. Nous avons envoyé les deux enfants au club pour enfants le matin, ce qui a permis aux adultes de se détendre à la plage. Le club pour enfants est ouvert de 10 à 13 heures et de 15 à 18 heures. Ils les emmènent manger une glace, nager, jouer au bowling, aller à la plage, etc. Ils ne sont donc pas coincés au club. Le club pour enfants dispose d'une aire de jeux, d'une piscine, de jouets d'intérieur et d'extérieur. Les courts de tennis sont magnifiques, mais il faut apporter son propre équipement. Les chemins peuvent être glissants lorsqu'ils sont mouillés, mais le personnel s'empresse de les essuyer. Le personnel semble apprécier son travail.

Beautiful resort The resort was great especially since they had only recently re-opened after the hurricane. Staff were amazing, very friendly. Entertainment was phenomenal. Food was terrible but that is to be expected. It was hot and didn't make anyone sick. Always had hot water from the shower and clean bottled water. The beach was full of beautiful shells and coral for the first 10-15 feet or so in the water which was not pleasant on the feet without water shoes. Pools were nice and clean but grout was rough and left our kids feet bloody when they were playing tag in the water (running around not just wading). Drinks were delicious with lots to choose from. Cappuccino was very good. Check in procedure was flawless and our room was ready. Maids were very helpful when our kids were unwell. They were quick to clean and did a great job. My sister had a room for her and her husband and two kids and they didn't receive a cot until the 3rd night so they slept 4 to a bed. Pull out couches must be limited as we had one for our two kids. No beach towels for a day or two but I do not think that is a resort issue. Beach staff stack all beach chairs and will bring one to you when you find your spot so you aren't wandering aimlessly. Kids activities were amazing. They loved the kids show every night and treat children very well. Sent the two kids to the kids club in the mornings which allowed adult relaxation at the beach. Kids club is open 10-1 & 3-6. They will take them for ice cream, swimming, bowling, to the beach, etc. So they aren't stuck at the club. The kids club has a playground, splash pool, outdoor and indoor toys. Tennis courts are beautiful, bring your own equipment. Paths can be slippery when wet but staff were quick to squeegee them off. Staff seemed to enjoy being there.

Melia Las Dunas: Station familiale

La chambre était infestée d'insectes, mais le personnel de l'hôtel a été accommodant et nous a changé de chambre ! Les chambres gagneraient à être calfeutrées autour des murs et des baignoires pour éviter les insectes. Les drains des éviers ont dû être débouchés en raison d'une mauvaise évacuation due à des cheveux dans les drains. La plage est bien entretenue et magnifique. Le personnel est très attentif et amical. Le buffet était bien meilleur que les options de restauration ! Bonne variété da [... lire plus]ns le buffet ; la nourriture était horrible ... pas très savoureuse mais il y avait beaucoup de variété. La piscine était magnifique et bien entretenue. Les jardiniers ont fait un travail magnifique avec les fleurs et nous ont coupé des noix de coco fraîches ! Il y avait des animations quotidiennes. Bon complexe pour une famille avec de jeunes enfants

Family resort Room was infested with bugs however hotel staff were accommodating and moved us to another room! Rooms would benefit from caulking around walls and tubs to prevent bugs. Sink drains needed to be unclogged due to poor drainage from hair in drains. Beach is well kept and beautiful. Staff are very attentive and friendly. Buffet was far better than the dining options! Good variety in buffet; food was aweful ...not very tasty but had lots of variety. Pool was beautiful and well maintained. Gardeners did a lovely job with flowers and cut us fresh coconuts! There was daily entertainment. Good resort for a family with young children

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Beautiful Resort

Très bon endroit pour séjourner. Les gens étaient merveilleux, le complexe était très propre. La nourriture était bonne, les employés étaient très aimables et serviables. La plage était magnifique et la piscine étonnante. Le service était de premier ordre et j'y retournerais sans hésiter.

Great place to stay. People were wonderful, resort was very clean. Food was fine, workers' were very friendly and helpful. Beach was beautiful and pool was amazing. Service was all top notch and I would go back in a heartbeat.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Un centre de villégiature extraordinaire !

Nous avons passé une semaine formidable au Melia Jardines Del Rey à Cayo Coco, Cuba. L'océan, la plage et les gens sont tous extraordinaires ! La nourriture est moins variée, mais c'est compréhensible car ils ont perdu des récoltes à cause de l'ouragan Irma. Mais, je vous le dis, ils font du mieux qu'ils peuvent avec ce qu'ils ont. Ce sont des gens extraordinaires. Nous nous sommes tellement amusés que nous prévoyons d'y retourner en février, si nous pouvons obtenir une autre bonne affaire.

Amazing resort! We had an awesome week at the Melia Jardines Del Rey in Cayo Coco, Cuba. The ocean, the beach, the people are all amazing! The food has less variety, but this is understandable because of them losing crops due to Hurricane Irma. But, I tell you, they do the best they can with what they have. They are amazing people. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we are planning to go back in February, if we can get another good deal.

Sol Cayo Santa Maria: Une belle escapade de Noël

L'hôtel s'est très bien remis d'un ouragan il y a quelques mois. Le gros problème pour tout le monde était les insectes, je crois les phlébotomes. Nous avons tous souffert de piqûres et de démangeaisons par la suite, même si nous avons acheté de l'insecticide, c'était extrêmement inconfortable, mais je ne sais pas comment on peut contrôler cela. Nous avons dû changer de chambre à l'arrivée, mais une fois que c'était fait, tout allait bien. Belle plage, beau temps, bon service !

A nice Christmas getaway The hotel was just fine recovering from a hurricane a few months ago. The big problem for everyone was the bugs I believe sandflies. We were all suffering from bites and itching afterward even though purchasing bug spray it was extremely uncomfortable but not sure how u would control that. We had to change rooms upon arrival but once that was done all was well. Beautiful beach great weather service was good!

Sol Palmeras: Pas de 4 étoiles à moins d'être surclassé.

Je ne suis allé que deux fois à Cuba et j'irai probablement sur une meilleure île la prochaine fois. Les plages sont magnifiques, bien sûr, mais j'ai eu un peu de peine pour les Cubains qui vivent dans une telle pauvreté. La Havane était un vrai dépotoir. La nourriture à l'hôtel était ce à quoi je m'attendais à Cuba, pas terrible mais on peut trouver quelque chose à manger. En général, c'est froid. La première chambre qu'on nous a donnée était un peu dégueulasse, très vieille et délabrée, la  [... lire plus]deuxième n'était pas beaucoup mieux. Nous avons fini par payer 400 $ pour être surclassés dans une chambre rénovée. C'est un peu ennuyeux mais cela a rendu le séjour bien meilleur. Si l'on ajoute à cela le fait de payer pour être assis l'un à côté de l'autre dans l'avion, cela ne semble plus si bon marché. Les avions de Sunwing étaient un peu étroits et les deux vols ont été retardés. Assurez-vous d'obtenir une chambre rénovée si vous réservez cet hôtel, ou trouvez un 5 étoiles. Le personnel était sympathique, en particulier dans la salle à manger.

Not a 4 star unless you upgrade. I have only been to cuba twice and will probably go to a better island next time. Beautiful beaches of course but felt a little sorry for the people of Cuba living in such poverty. Havana was a dump. The hotel food was what I would expect in cuba, not great but can find something to eat. Usually cold. The first room we were given was kind of gross, very old and run down, second one was not much better. We ended up paying $400 to upgrade to a reno'd one. Kind of annoying but made the stay much better. Factor this plus the expense of paying to sit beside each other on the plane it no longer seems so cheap. Sunwing planes a little cramped and both flights delayed. Make sure you get a renovated room if you book this hotel, or find a 5 star. Staff were nice particularly in the dining room.

Sol Cayo Santa Maria: Un centre de villégiature exceptionnel

Sol Cayo Santa Maria l'hôtel est incroyable, j'aime les chambres au deuxième étage. Les services de chambre sont excellents, notre femme de chambre était vraiment gentille et nettoyait les chambres à temps tous les jours. L'hôtel est magnifique et propre. Tous les employés de l'hôtel sont extrêmement gentils. L'animateur de l'hôtel était incroyable et les danseurs organisaient de merveilleux spectacles tous les soirs. Dans l'ensemble, ce fut une expérience formidable.

Amazing resort Sol Cayo Santa Maria the hotel is amazing, i like the second floor rooms. The room services are great, our maid was really nice and cleaning the rooms on time everday. The resort is beautiful and clean. All the workers in the resort are extermely nice. The entertainer of the resort was amazing and the dancer performers were arranging wonderful shows every night. Overall, it was a great experience.

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Tellement de choses, différemment pas un 4 étoiles

Notre première impression, c'était magnifique dans le hall d'entrée. Le bell hop’s était en train de prendre nos sacs à une chambre différente. J'ai dû lui crier dessus depuis le sol jusqu'au 3ème étage du bâtiment. Enfin arriver à notre chambre n'avait pas de porte de salle de bains, des problèmes électriques, des prises venant du mur, pas de puissance, la télévision a fonctionné certains jours. Pas de lumière dans l'allée entre le 1er étage et le 3ème étage, nous avons dû appeler 3 fois pe [... lire plus]ndant la semaine. Je suis allé à la réception pour me plaindre, on m'a dit que la chambre était en cours de rénovation et on ne m'a jamais proposé une autre chambre. En attente d'une ampoule. Pas de porte moustiquaire. Nous avons payé pour le supplément "club élégance" qui n'en valait pas la peine, nous devions appeler tous les deux jours pour remplir le réfrigérateur. Le personnel était incroyable. Il ne parlait pas beaucoup anglais. Notre carte de la station seulement en français allemand et espagnol (pas d'anglais) avait 3 la cartouche français était horrible. J'ai remarqué que la serveuse utilisait les toilettes des femmes, ne se lavait pas les mains et retournait travailler dans le restaurant japonais à côté du français. J'ai eu l'italien juste correct. Le japonais était une grande expérience. La plage est magnifique, le bar de la plage est horrible, pas de courant, pas de musique, insalubre. Au bar de la piscine, même chose, rinçage des tasses sous l'eau du robinet, réutilisation des tasses pour les gens. Il suffit d'utiliser un mixeur pour faire des boissons. Demandez des boissons et ils ne sont pas cohérents. La nourriture était correcte, certaines étaient froides. Ou non cuits. Dans certaines salles de bains, il n'y avait pas de siège pour les toilettes. Ma fille a rayé le wifi en pleurant trop, j'ai demandé à la réception s'il y avait un problème avec ces cartes Jamais proposé d'acheter une autre carte pour 1 peso pour une heure découvert le dernier jour vous pouvez acheter des cartes. fille pleurer qu'elle a ruiné pour nous. De plus, les Activity’s et le bar club ne fonctionnaient pas en raison d'un manque de demande. Pour moi, il y avait beaucoup de gens qui cherchaient à danser et à faire des activités. Comme c'était la première fois que nous partions avec mes deux enfants, nous avons fait de notre mieux.

So many things, differently not a 4 star Our first impression it was beautiful in the lobby. The bell hop’s was taking our bags to a different room. Had to yell at him from the ground to the 3rd floor of building. Finally get to our room had no bathroom door, electrical problems, plugs coming from wall, no power, tv worked some days. No lights in walkway from 1st floor to our 3rd floor had to call 3 times through the week. Went to the front desk to complain they said room under renovations never offered us another room. Waiting on light bulb. No screen door. Paid for the extra “ elegance club” not worth it had to call every other day to fill fridge. The staff was amazing. Couldn’t speak much English. Our map of the resort only in French German and Spanish (no English) had 3 la cart French was horrible. Noticed waitress used women’s washroom didn’t wash her hands then went back to work in the Japanese restaurant next to the French. Had the Italian just ok. The Japanese was great Experience. Went to the beach beautiful, beach bar was horrible no power, no music, unsanitary. Went to the pool bar same thing rinsed cups under tap water reused cups for the people. Just using a drink blender to make drinks. Ask for drinks and their not consistent. Food was ok, some was cold. Or uncooked. Some of the washrooms had no seat to seat on the toilet. My daughter scratched the wifi to much crying I mentioned to the front desk is their a problem with these cards? Never offered me to buy another card for 1 peso for a hour found out on our last day you can buy cards. daughter crying that she ruined it for us. Also the Activity’s and bar club were not operating due to lack of demand. Which to me their was lots of people looking to dance and activities. As we were their with my 2 children first time away. we made the best of it.

La plage et la nourriture sont les facteurs les plus importants pour nous. Cet endroit a été gagnant sur les deux plans. Pour quelqu'un qui a la diarrhée du voyageur en se rendant à la boîte aux lettres, j'ai été agréablement surprise de me sentir en pleine forme après chaque repas, qui comprenait de nombreux plats différents, car tout était délicieux. Le buffet était incroyable à chaque fois, les snack-bars sont géniaux et le resto est incroyable. Les bars sont géniaux. Il y a une plage calm [... lire plus]e avec des eaux cristallines et une plage plus agitée de part et d'autre d'une petite péninsule. Les deux sont fantastiques. En outre, notre chambre située dans les années 1200 était superbe, quel que soit le critère utilisé, les autres bâtiments étaient superbes et les piscines étaient agréables. Les activités et les spectacles sont également intéressants et commencent à l'heure, ce qui est un grand avantage. La seule chose qui m'a un peu gêné, c'est le pourboire. Nous sommes heureux de récompenser l'excellent service que nous avons reçu de la part de la grande majorité du personnel, mais il semble que l'on attende toujours plus en termes de pourboires et d'articles. J'imagine qu'il s'agit là d'une conséquence des changements intervenus à Cuba et non d'une particularité de cet hôtel, mais je n'avais pas ressenti autant de gêne à cet égard dans d'autres hôtels au cours des dernières années.

Best food, 2 amazing beaches Beach and food are the most important factors for us. This Place was a winner for both. For someone who gets traveller's diarrhea walking to the mailbox, I was pleasantly surprised to feel fantastic after every meal which consisted of many different items as everything was so delicious. The buffet was incredible every time, the snack bars are awesome, and the resto is amazing. Bars are great. There is one calm beach with crystal clear waters and one wavier beach on either side of a small peninsula. Both are fantastic. In addition, our room in the 1200s was great by any standards, the rest of the buildings were great and the pools are nice. Good activities and shows, too, and they start on time which is a big plus. The only thing that was a bit uncomfortable was the tipping. We are happy to reward the great service that we received from the vast majority of the staff but it seemed like more and more was expected in terms of tips and items. I would imagine this is a product of changes in Cuba and not particular to this resort, but I hadn't felt as much discomfort with respect to this at other resorts in years past.

Excellent rapport qualité-prix et haut de gamme à la fois. C'est la deuxième fois que j'y vais et j'y retournerai l'année prochaine Les installations sont propres et bien organisées. Le service de garde d'enfants est extraordinaire. 200 mots, c'est trop pour une critique d'hôtel.

Melia Las Antillas: Plage et terrain magnifiques

L'hôtel est vieux. Il faut prendre une chambre qui n'est pas au rez-de-chaussée. Beaucoup de fumeurs ici. Cigarettes partout. La nourriture était bonne et l'hôtel et le personnel sont hospitaliers et expérimentés, ce qui signifie qu'ils écoutent et sont utiles. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour et une super semaine

Beautiful beach and grounds Hotel is older. Need to get a room that is off the ground floor. Many many smokers here. Cigarettes everywhere . Food was fine and the hotel and staff are hospitable and experienced which means they listen and are helpful . We had a great stay and super week

Melia Las Dunas: Le déclin du Melia Las Dunas

J'ai visité le Melia Las Dunas il y a quelques années avec ma fille aînée (Kendra) et tout était au-dessus de la moyenne, voire excellent. C'est la raison pour laquelle j'ai décidé d'y retourner avec ma fille cadette (Kenya) âgée de 9 ans. 1- A notre arrivée, notre chambre n'avait pas d'eau chaude....Après une longue journée, nous avions besoin d'une douche chaude.....nous avons donc changé de chambre et découvert que nous n'avions toujours pas d'eau chaude et que la pression de l'eau était tr [... lire plus]ès faible. Après un jour ou deux, l'eau est devenue tiède et n'a jamais atteint le statut d'eau chaude.... !!! 2- La nourriture était toujours trop cuite et froide. Il n'y avait ni ketchup ni moutarde. Souvent, il n'y avait pas de beurre. Le pain....buns...etc ... était de mauvaise qualité ma fille de 9 ans, Kenya, s'est coupée le pied sur tous les morceaux de béton qui vieillissaient et se détachaient. De plus, toute personne marchant autour de la piscine pour entrer dans l'eau avait des difficultés à marcher sur tous les morceaux de béton détachés dans leurs pieds nus... !!! L'eau de la piscine était très froide. L'eau de la piscine était très froide. Un chauffe-eau qui assurerait une température minimale de l'eau pourrait être envisagé et, avec la technologie d'aujourd'hui, il pourrait être fourni de manière rentable. J'ai fait installer un chauffe-eau de piscine chez moi... Les barres de sécurité dans la piscine et dans les salles de bains des chambres étaient mal fixées et dangereuses à utiliser. 4- Pas de WiFi... et je comprends parfaitement les raisons de cette situation... mais ma femme et ma fille m'ont dit qu'elles ne reviendraient pas à cause de leur dépendance à l'internet... Personnellement, je peux vivre une semaine sans internet. 5- Pas de room service... 6- Les contenants de shampoing et de savon étaient vides après le 4-5ème jour et n'ont jamais été remplis. 7- Les clients doivent être informés que les cartes Visa en USD ne sont pas acceptées. Du côté positif... 1- Les spectacles au théâtre étaient très bons il y a quelques années et sont absolument géniaux aujourd'hui. The decline of Melia Las Dunas I had visited Melia Las Dunas a few years ago with my oldest daughter(Kendra) and everything was above average to excellent. This is the reason I decided to return with my youngest daughter(Kenya) 9 years old. 1- Upon arrival our room had no hot water....After a long day a hot shower was required.....Therefore we changed rooms and discovered that we still had no hot water with very low water pressure. After a day or two the water became lukewarm and never attained the status of being HOT....!!! 2- Food was always overcooked and cool to cold.. There was no ketchup or mustard. Many days there was no butter. Bread....buns...etc ... were of poor quality 3- Pool area was finished with concrete, when uni-pavi should have been employed...My 9 year old daughter Kenya cut her foot on all the aging and loose bits of concrete. Also anyone walking around the pool to enter the water had difficulty walking on all the loose bits of concrete in their bare feet..!!! Pool water was very cold. Pool water heater which would provide a minimum water temperature might be a consideration and with today's technology could be provided in a cost effective manner. I had a pool water heater installed with my pool at my home... The Safety bars in the pool and also in the bathrooms in the rooms were loose and dangerous to use. 4- No WiFi...and I fully understand the reasons why...but my wife and daughter advised me that they would not return because of their addiction to the internet.. Personally I can live for a week without the internet. 5- No room service.. 6- Shampoo and soap containers were empty after 4-5th day and never refilled. 7- Clients should be advised that Any USD Visa card will not be accepted. On the Positive Side... 1- The shows at the theatre were very good a few years ago and are absolutely great today. My daughter and wife were enthralled every night... 2- The Cuban people who provided the service were great a few years ago are still fantastic... Bruce Flynn 450.699.2268

Melia Las Dunas: Bien, mais pas génial

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour à Las Dunas - ce qui nous a le plus marqué, c'est sans aucun doute le personnel - le meilleur que j'aie jamais rencontré dans un centre de villégiature ! La nourriture était bonne - nous avons apprécié les plats orientaux et méditerranéens. La plage est fantastique. La piscine pour adultes était charmante - sereine et très relaxante La chambre était grande et bien aménagée. Notre femme de chambre était adorable et la gardait impeccable. Le hall et la b [... lire plus]rasserie étaient remplis de familles avec des enfants bruyants et mal élevés le week-end - c'est probablement notre plus gros reproche. C'est ce qui nous dissuade le plus de retourner à Las Dunas... Nous sommes allés dans de nombreux autres hôtels "familiaux" et nous n'avons jamais eu à quitter un hall à cause du bruit. C'était insupportable.

Good, but not great We enjoyed our time at Las Dunas - the stand out at the resort was definitely the staff - definitely the best I've ever encountered at a resort!!! Food was good - we enjoyed the Oriental and the Mediterranean . The beach is fantastic. The adult pool was lovely - serene and very relaxing Room was large and well appointed. Our maid was lovely and kept it spotless. Lobby and beer garden were filled with families with loud misbehaved kids on the weekend - that was probably our biggest complaint. They basically took over - this would be our biggest deterrent from ever going back to Las Dunas...we have been to many other "family" resorts and have never had to leave a lobby due to noise. It was unbearable.
