Un bon endroit pour séjourner

Nous avons passé 2 semaines à l'Occidental Tucancun et avons passé un très bon moment. L'hôtel était propre et disposait de tous les équipements nécessaires. C'était vraiment pratique d'avoir le centre commercial de l'autre côté de la rue. L'emplacement de cet hôtel est excellent. La plage était magnifique, comme toujours dans la zone de l'hôtel, et nous avons passé beaucoup de temps à jouer dans les vagues. Si vous n'êtes pas un bon nageur, l'océan est délicat car les courants sont forts et les [... lire plus] vagues grosses. Nous avons également trouvé qu'il y avait beaucoup de vent, plus que les années précédentes lorsque nous sommes allés à Cancun ou à Mayan Riviera. La nourriture était correcte. Le restaurant mexicain était assez bon et le restaurant italien faisait de bonnes pâtes sur commande. La chambre était grande et propre et le réfrigérateur était réapprovisionné tous les jours. Notre chambre faisait face à la lagune et le bruit de la climatisation était très fort, nous devions donc garder les fenêtres fermées. C'est un point négatif. L'autre point négatif était qu'il fallait payer un supplément pour le wi-fi (45 $ US par semaine). Nous n'avons jamais eu à payer autant d'argent pour le wi-fi. Nous ne l'avons donc pas fait. Nous nous rendions au centre commercial et nous nous y connections. Le personnel d'OT était très sympathique. Je tiens à remercier tout particulièrement Louis et Antonio du restaurant de la plage pour leur hospitalité et leurs sourires radieux. Dans l'ensemble, c'était un excellent hôtel et nous le recommanderions sans hésiter.

Good place to stay We spent 2 weeks in Occidental Tucancun and had a really good time. The hotel was clean and had all the amenities one needs. It was really handy to have the mall across the street. The location of this hotel is great. The beach was beautiful as as always the case in the hotel zone and we spent a lot of time playing in the waves. If you are not a good swimmer, the ocean is tricky as the currents were strong and the waves big. We also found it quite windy, more so than in previous years when we went to Cancun or Mayan Riviera. The food was decent. The Mexican restaurant was quite good and the Italian restaurant made a good to order pasta. The room was large and clean and the fridge restocked daily. Our room was facing the lagoon and the AC noise was really loud so we had to keep the windows closed. That was one negative. The other bigger negative was that you had to pay extra for wi-fi ($45 US a week). We never had to pay that much money for wi-fi. So we didn't. We would walk over to the mall and connect there. The staff at OT were very friendly. I want to especially thank Louis and Antonio at the beach restaurant for their hospitality and bright smiles. Overall it was a great hotel and we would definitely recommend this resort.

Une expérience étonnante !

Le centre de villégiature était très bien dans l'ensemble ! Moi et les 9 autres personnes avec qui je voyageais avons eu une très bonne expérience avec la nourriture et le service sur le site. Le personnel était merveilleux, les barmans ont pris soin de nous et se sont assurés que nous vivions une expérience inoubliable, en particulier Ismael et Max qui ont répondu à nos besoins tout au long de la semaine et se sont assurés que nous étions bien hydratés et satisfaits !

Amazing experience! The resort was great overall! Me and the 9 others that I was traveling with had a great experience with the food and service on the resort. The staff was wonderful, the bartenders took care of us and made sure we had an unforgettable experience, especially with Ismael and Max who catered to our needs all week long and made sure we were well hydrated and content!

Mieux que les photos et les commentaires ne le laissent supposer

C'était la première fois que je venais au Mexique, mais j'ai visité Cuba et la République dominicaine dans le passé et, en me basant sur ces comparaisons, je peux dire qu'il s'agit d'un centre de villégiature d'un excellent rapport qualité-prix. J'ai voyagé avec 10 gars pour un enterrement de vie de garçon et le personnel nous a adorés et a été très accueillant et a certainement contribué à notre amusement quotidien. Armando, l'un des hôtes, était apparemment toujours là et était très amusant ! Il essayait toujours de nous faire rire, même dans les moments où nous ne nous sentions pas très chauds de la nuit précédente. La nourriture était incroyable dans tous les buffets et restaurants ! Il y avait beaucoup d'options pour les mangeurs les plus difficiles, même s'il aurait fallu plus d'options à la carte, car les deux restaurants se sont rapidement remplis. Les chambres n'étaient certainement pas à la hauteur des normes modernes en termes de style et de mode, mais les lits étaient confortables et il y avait beaucoup d'oreillers et de couvertures. L'air conditionné n'était pas des plus performants mais il était suffisant pour maintenir l'ambiance dans la pièce. L'un des ascenseurs ne fonctionnait pas pendant notre séjour car il était en cours de rénovation, mais cela ne nous a pas dérangés de prendre les escaliers. Les plages seraient parfaites avec plus de zones ombragées en dehors des palmiers. Enfin, j'aimerais que le terrain de beach-volley soit mieux entretenu, avec des lignes et un filet qui ne s'affaisse pas de manière significative. Le fait d'être situé juste derrière le centre commercial Kukulkan était incroyable, au cas où nous aurions besoin de quelque chose que la boutique de souvenirs n'avait pas. Dans l'ensemble, c'était un endroit formidable et je reviendrai certainement à l'avenir, car je sais que c'est un centre de villégiature auquel je peux faire confiance, avec un service de qualité et un personnel très divertissant !

Better than the pictures and reviews make it seem This was my first time to Mexico, but have visited Cuba and Dominican Republic in the past and based off those as comparison I can say this is an amazing bang for your buck resort. I travelled with 10 guys on a bachelor's party and the staff loved us and were very welcoming and definitely aided in our daily amusement. Bartenders Max and Ismael provided plenty of entertainment along with great new drinks for us to try based on things we liked. Armando, one of the hosts was seemingly always around and was a hoot! He was always trying to get us to laugh even in times when we weren't feeling too hot from the night before. The food was incredible at each and every buffet or restaurant! Plenty of options for the pickiest of eaters although more a la carte options would have been great since the two they had filled up quickly. The rooms were definitely not up to modern standards in the form of style and fashion but the beds were comfortable and plenty of pillows and blankets. Our AC was not the greatest but it was sufficient to keep the room ambient. One of the elevators were not working while we were there as it was under renovation but we didn't mind taking the stairs. The beaches would be perfect with more shaded areas outside of the palm trees. Finally I would love to see a better maintained beach volleyball court with lines and a net that wasn't sagging significantly. Being situated directly behind kukulkan mall was incredible incase we needed something that the gift shop didn't have. Overall it was a great spot and I would definitely return in the future as I know this is a resort that I can trust is solid with great service and a very entertaining staff!

Excellente semaine !

Je vais dans le sud chaque année, mais je dépense généralement plus d'argent que je ne l'ai fait cette année. Je suis arrivée dans ce complexe sans avoir de grandes attentes, mais j'ai été stupéfaite ! La qualité de la nourriture était la plus grande surprise et le personnel était incroyable. La station elle-même était également très propre, je reviendrais sans aucun doute !

Great week! I go down south every year but I usually spend more money than I did this year. I got to this resort without having very high expectations but I was amazed! The food quality was the biggest surprise and the staff were incredible. The resort itself was also super clean, I would definitely come back again!

Cet hôtel a dépassé toutes les attentes. Il était propre, le personnel était sympathique et prêt à se surpasser. Je recommanderais sans hésiter ce complexe. Les piscines étaient propres et le terrain bien entretenu.

So Much Fun! This hotel excided all expectations. Was clean, friendly staff who were willing to go above and beyond. Would definitely recommend this resort. The pools were kept clean and the grounds were well manicured.

Un centre de villégiature fantastique à tous points de vue

Mon mari et moi avons récemment séjourné à l'Occidental Tucancun et nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Lors de mes recherches, j'avais vraiment aimé le fait que c'était une station plus petite que ce qui était autour et qu'il y avait moins de gens. C'était génial pour trouver des chaises sur la plage et autour de la piscine, on n'avait pas besoin de se lever très tôt pour en réserver une ! En ce qui concerne la nourriture, l'attente et les files d'attente étaient inexistantes. Les restaurants [... lire plus] de ce complexe sont délicieux ! Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les fruits de mer (frais et délicieux) et le restaurant italien, qui dispose d'une station de pâtes où vous pouvez tout choisir, des nouilles à la sauce en passant par les légumes. Vous pouvez manger autant de fois que vous le souhaitez dans chaque restaurant (certains limitent le nombre de repas à 4 par séjour de 7 jours). Ce qui a vraiment fait la particularité de ce complexe, ce sont les gens. Ils se souviennent de vous tous les jours et vous font sentir très spécial. Les boissons dans tous les bars étaient toujours bonnes, ils ont toutes les boissons typiques de la plage et des mojitos ! La plage était toujours propre et sans mauvaises herbes, elle est très ondulée sur la plage, donc si vous êtes un faible nageur ou préférez faire de la plongée avec tuba, ce n'est peut-être pas le meilleur endroit pour vous, mais sauter autour et plonger avec des lunettes de plongée était très amusant. Toute la zone de l'hôtel est plus venteuse et ondulée, mais il fait encore chaud et on peut s'y baigner. La plage est vraiment longue, on peut donc marcher pendant 20 minutes dans chaque direction, ce qui est cool ! Notre chambre était au dernier étage et nous avions un balcon avec vue sur la station, elle était toujours propre et bien approvisionnée. Dans l'ensemble, nous y retournerons certainement lorsque nous serons de nouveau à Cancun.

Fantastic resort all around My husband I recently stayed at the Occidental Tucancun and we had an amazing time. When researching I had really liked the fact that it was a smaller resort than what was around and it had fewer people. This was great when it came to finding chairs on the beach and around the pool, you didn’t have to wake up super early to reserve one! Also with food the wait and line up was non existent. The restaurants at this resort were delicious! We especially enjoyed the seafood (fresh and delicious) and the Italian as they have a pasta station where you choose everything from noodles to sauce to veggies. You can eat as many times as you want in every restaurant (some have a limit to 4 per 7 day stay). The thing that really made the resort special was the people. They remember you every day and make you feel very special. The drinks at every bar were always good, they have all your typical beach drinks and mojitos! The beach was always clean and weed free, it is very wavy on the beach so if your a weak swimmer or prefer to snorkel it may not be the best spot for you, but to jump around and dive with goggles was very fun. The whole hotelera zona is more windy and wavy but it is still warm and very swim-able. The beach is really long so you can walk for 20 minutes in each direction which is cool! Our room was on the top floor and we had a balcony overlooking the resort, it was always clean and restocked well. Overall we will definitely be going back when we are in Cancun again.

J'ai adoré

Le personnel est formidable. Très aimable et excellent service à la clientèle. La plage est magnifique mais les vagues étaient assez grosses. Les piscines sont agréables, avec des animations quotidiennes et des jeux au bord de la piscine. Il y a également une piscine réservée aux adultes qui est un endroit plus calme pour se détendre. Nous avions une chambre avec une belle vue panoramique sur l'océan. La nourriture était décente, mais c'était la même chose tous les jours, ce qui était un peu las [... lire plus]sant. Il y avait un spectacle quotidien en soirée mais pas d'autre vie nocturne.

Loved it The staff were amazing. Super friendly and excellent customer service. The beach is beautiful but the waves were quite large. The pools were lovely with daily entertainment and games by the poolside. There is also an adult only pool which was a quieter area to relax. We had a room with a beautiful panoramic ocean view. The food was decent but was the same every day which got a little old. Had a daily evening performance but no other night life.

Beaucoup de travail nécessaire

L'hôtel lui-même était bien, propre et facilement accessible, bien qu'il y ait beaucoup d'escaliers. La nourriture était épouvantable (peu variée et toujours froide). A lot of work required Hotel itself was fine, clean and easily accessible, although there are a lot of stairs. Food was terrible (lack of variety and always cold). Beach and pools were fun. There are no palapas on the beach, so very hard if you want some shade.

De superbes vacances

Nous avons passé un bon moment dans ce complexe. La nourriture était bonne dans les buffets et à la carte. Beaucoup de bars, donc pas de files d'attente. La plupart du personnel était très sympathique. Complexe très propre. Les piscines étaient superbes. Nous pouvions toujours trouver des chaises. Plage magnifique, mais il faut des parasols ou des palapas pour faire de l'ombre. Il n'y en a pas. Le service de la réception était très lent à tous les niveaux, de l'enregistrement aux questions. Il  [... lire plus]faut s'attendre à attendre. Il faut absolument recommander une vue sur l'océan avec balcon. Le côté rue fait face à un centre commercial et les ventilateurs sont bruyants.

Great vacation We had a great time at this resort. Food was good at buffets and a la Cartes. Lots of bars, so no line ups. Most staff were very friendly. Very clean resort. Pools were great. We could always get chairs. Awesome beach, but needs umbrellas or palapas for shade. They have none. Front desk service was very slow in every way from check in to questions. Expect to wait. Definitely recommend ocean view with balcony. Street side faces a mall and has noisy fans.

Excellente station

Le centre de villégiature était génial ! J'ai adoré le fait que la plage soit si proche et juste devant vous. Le personnel est formidable et la nourriture est bonne. Les spectacles nocturnes étaient superbes et je les ai beaucoup appréciés. Les barmans ont travaillé dur pour satisfaire tout le monde et l'ont fait en souriant. Antonio et Lorenzo étaient géniaux ! Le check-in est très très lent et le check-out est également lent. C'est mon seul reproche. Tout le reste était excellent ! Un endroit  [... lire plus]très propre et joyeux.

Excellent resort The resort was great! I loved that the beach was so close and right in front of you. The staff are amazing and the food was good. The night shows were great and enjoyed them very much. The bartenders worked so hard to please everyone and did it smiling. Antonio and Lorenzo were great!!! The check in is very very slow and the check out is also slow. That's my only complaint. Everything else was excellent! Very clean and happy place.

Bon centre de villégiature

Un bon complexe mais plutôt 3 étoiles. La chambre avait une vue sur l'océan et un grand balcon. Les meubles sont un peu démodés. La nourriture était correcte, la même pour le déjeuner Dans le buffet tous les jours pas beaucoup de variété. Le restaurant mexicain était bon.

C'est un très beau complexe, pas très grand, mais très agréable. Le personnel était remarquable. Geraldo et son équipe au buffet le plus proche des piscines étaient très accueillants et sincèrement heureux d'aider et de prendre un moment pour discuter. Je ne me souviens pas des noms de tous les employés, mais ils étaient formidables. Au restaurant italien, un certain M. Chan nous a offert un excellent service. Les piscines étaient magnifiques et la plage incroyable. Nous avons même vu des bébés  [... lire plus]tortues. Mon seul point négatif est le comptoir d'accueil. Très lent et pas terriblement amical. Notre carte-clé devait être activée tous les jours, et parfois plus d'une fois par jour. J'ai vraiment apprécié ce complexe.

Good resort This was a lovely resort, not really big, but very nice. The staff were outstanding. Geraldo and his staff at the buffet closest to the pools were very welcoming and were genuinely happy to help and take a moment to chat. I cannot remember all of the staff names, but they were great. At the Italian restaurant a Mr. Chan gave us excellent service. The pools were lovely and the beach unbelievable. We even saw baby turtles. My only negative was the front counter. Very slow and not terribly friendly. Our key card had to be activated daily, and sometimes more than once a day. I really did enjoy this resort.

Belle station balnéaire

Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre voyage. Nous avons été surclassés dans la suite premium face à l'océan, qui était incroyable ! La plage est magnifique, les piscines sont superbes, surtout la piscine de relaxation. Le massage au spa était fantastique. Ce qui a fait tout le voyage, c'est l'excellent personnel, tous ceux qui travaillaient au resort vous accueillaient toujours avec un sourire.

Beautiful resort We really enjoyed our trip. We upgraded to the premium ocean front suite which was amazing! Beautiful beach, great pools, especially the relax pool. The massage at the spa was fantastic. What made the entire trip was the excellent staff, everyone that worked at the resort always greeted you with a smile.

Nous aimerions que l'hôtel Occidental sache à quel point nous avons apprécié notre voyage au Mexique il y a quelques jours. Outre la bonne nourriture et les divertissements que vous avez si bien fournis, c'est votre hôtel qui m'a donné une satisfaction qui durera très longtemps. Excellent hôtel avec une atmosphère relaxante

Superbe hôtel avec des options pour être à l'écart de la foule. Beaucoup de petits coins tranquilles pour se détendre. La nourriture est correcte, le personnel est généralement très gentil et amical. Situé à 60 pas d'un centre commercial, idéal pour se promener quand on a besoin d'une pause au soleil. La plage est vraiment belle, elle est assez vide à la mi-septembre. On peut y faire du body surfing sur des vagues allant jusqu'à 1,50 m. Le seul inconvénient est la présence de mauvaises her [... lire plus]bes. Le seul inconvénient est la présence de mauvaises herbes, en grande quantité.

Excellent hotel with a relaxing atmosphere Great hotel with options to be away from the crowd. Lots of little quiet spots for real relaxation. Food is ok, staff generally very nice and friendly. Situitated 60 steps from a mall, great for a stroll when you need a break from the sun. The beach is really nice, it's pretty empty in mid September. Great for body surfing on waves up to 3 feet. Only down side is weeds, lots of it.

Un centre de villégiature extraordinaire, comme d'habitude

Permettez-moi de commencer par dire que c'est la cinquième fois que je viens dans ce centre de villégiature et qu'il s'améliore à chaque fois. Les gens sont fantastiques et le personnel de la réception est toujours accommodant. Le groom s'est souvenu de moi lorsque je suis descendu de la navette. La nourriture est incroyablement bonne. Bien que j'aie voyagé seule cette fois-ci, on m'a fait sentir que je ne l'étais pas. Je recommande le restaurant mexicain Linda Vista et vous pouvez faire a [... lire plus]utant de réservations que vous le souhaitez. Je m'attendais à ce qu'il y ait beaucoup de locaux parce que c'était la mi-juillet, mais il y avait toujours environ 50 % de lits disponibles. Le problème des algues n'est pas aussi grave qu'on le dit. La température de la piscine était idéale et je n'ai eu que du soleil toute la semaine. J'ai hâte de revenir ici. Un grand merci à Ismael au bar du hall et aux autres membres du personnel. Michael à la piscine pour adultes pendant la semaine du 17 au 22 juillet a été fantastique et je ne peux pas croire que quelqu'un ait eu le culot de se plaindre qu'il n'était pas servi car il était très attentif et professionnel à tout moment. J'ai pris la chambre 3001 qui avait deux balcons et une chambre avec vue sur l'océan. Chambres spacieuses et très propres.

Amazing Resort as usual Let me just start by saying that this is my 5th time to this resort and it keeps getting better each and every time. People are fantastic and front desk staff is always accommodating. Bellman remembered me as i got off of the shuttle. The food was crazy good. Although I did travel alone this time I was made to feel as if I wasn't. I recommend Linda Vista Mexican restaurant and you can make as many reservations as you want. I expected a lot of locals because it was middle of July yet there were about 50% of beds available always. The seaweed problem is not as bad as has been portrayed. The pool temperature was ideal and I had nothing but sunshine all week long. I can't wait to come back here again. Shout out to Ismael in the lobby bar and the other fine staff. Michael in the adult pool during the week of July 17 - 22 was fantastic and I can't believe someone had the nerve to complain about him that they weren't being served as he was very attentive and professional at all times. I had room 3001 which had two balconies and oceanview room as well. Spacious rooms and very clean.

Cet hôtel offre un excellent service, de l'arrivée au départ. Le personnel est formidable et très serviable. L'hôtel est propre et très accueillant. Il y a 3 piscines bien entretenues et un beau terrain. C'est un hôtel de catégorie supérieure. Je pense que les meilleures chambres sont celles avec vue sur l'océan, vous pouvez voir l'océan et c'est à couper le souffle. Il y a des spectacles tous les soirs et c'est très agréable à voir. This hotel has excellent service from the time you get there still you leave.The staff is amazing and very helpful. The hotel is clean and very welcoming. They have 3 well kept pools and beautiful grounds.This is a superior category hotel. I think the best rooms are the ocean view you can see the ocean and it's breath taking. They have shows every night and great to see. It's in a great location and very safe to go out at night.

Grand hôtel

Le personnel était formidable et tellement serviable ! Nous étions un groupe de 8 personnes et tout le monde a été très accommodant en ce qui concerne les repas. La plage est magnifique et correspond exactement à l'image que l'on se fait de l'océan des Caraïbes. L'eau était un peu agitée, mais tout de même charmante. Les chambres pourraient certainement être améliorées, mais elles sont très propres et nous n'avons jamais été découragés de revenir dans une chambre propre et bien rangée. La plus g [... lire plus]rande plainte que j'ai est que les piscines ont transformé tous nos maillots de bain blancs en vert. Je ne sais pas si c'est un déséquilibre chimique ou des algues, mais c'était moins que souhaitable de nager avec des maillots de bain de couleur claire. L'hôtel les a toutefois nettoyés et ils sont redevenus blancs. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons passé un excellent moment !

Great hotel The staff were amazing and so helpful! We were a group of 8 people and everyone was so accommodating when it came to meals. The beach is beautiful and exactly what you think of when you picture the Caribbean ocean. The water was a bit rough, but still lovely. The rooms could definitely use an upgrade, but very clean and we were never discouraged when coming back to a clean and tidy room. The biggest complaint I have is that the pools turned all our white bathing suits green. I’m not sure if it’s a chemical imbalance or algae, but it was less than desirable to swim in when wearing light coloured bathing suits. The hotel, however, did clean them and they are white again. Overall we had a great time!
