Nous avons adoré le Barcelo !

Des terrains magnifiques, une nourriture excellente, des lits confortables, des gens et une plage extraordinaires - tout ce que nous aurions pu souhaiter pour que notre semaine soit relaxante et amusante ! L'emplacement est idéal pour de longues promenades sur la plage, un terrain de golf de l'autre côté de la rue, un oxox juste devant la porte et un centre commercial à cinq minutes de marche avec de la bonne nourriture, un magasin de tatouage sympa et un délicieux glacier.

We loved the Barcelo! Beautiful grounds, great food, comfortable beds, amazing people and beach - everything we could've wanted to make our week relaxing and fun! It was in the prefect location for long walks on the beach, a golf course across the street, an oxox right out the gate and a shopping plaza within a five minute walk with great food, cool tattoo shop, and yummy ice cream parlour.

Excellent centre de villégiature

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au Barcelo, du 7 au 14 janvier, même si les deux premiers jours il y avait beaucoup de locaux et qu'ils avaient un service préférentiel, je suppose que c'était la barrière de la langue à laquelle nous sommes confrontés à chaque fois que nous passons des vacances dans un pays hispanophone, les employés étaient plus à l'aise pour leur parler dans leur langue maternelle. Cela dit, le Barcelo est bien situé en ville, nous nous promenons beaucoup en ville pour vér [... lire plus]ifier les marchandises, aller dans les bars et découvrir la culture locale. L'endroit est propre, le service de nettoyage était excellent. Les abeilles ont été un peu gênantes car plusieurs d'entre nous ont été piqués. La seule plainte concernait le grill de la piscine, les hommes ne pouvaient pas y manger à moins d'avoir des selfs sur leurs chemises, ce qui n'a pas été le cas. C'est un restaurant décontracté et ils étaient habillés, nous n'avons jamais vu cela ailleurs.

Excellent Resort We had an excellent time at the Barcelo, January 7th to the 14th, though the first couple of day there was a lot of locals and they had preferred service, I suspect it was the language barrier that we face every holiday to a Spanish speaking country, the workers were more comfortable speaking to them in their native tongue. That being said the Barcelo is well located in town, we walk lots in town to check out their wares and go to bars and check out the local culture. The place is clean, the maid service was excelent. The bees were a bit of a nussance as a number of us got bitten. The only complaint was the pool grill, the guys could not eat there unless they had selves on their shirts, we didn't get that. It a casual restaurant and they were dressed, never saw that anywhere else.

Bon rapport qualité-prix et agréable

Le terrain, les piscines, etc. étaient très bien. Les salles à manger étaient propres, bien rangées et bien gérées. Nourriture parfois décevante. Excellent personnel - très agréable et serviable. Chambre assez bien, un peu vieillissante, surtout dans la salle de bain ; aurait pu être un peu plus propre.

Good value and pleasant Grounds, pools, etc. were fine. Dining areas clean, tidy and well managed. Food occasionally disappointing. Great staff - very pleasant and helpful. Room quite good, showing age a bit, especially in bathroom; could have been a bit cleaner.

Une station désuète dans une ville étonnante

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au Barcelo Ixtapa ! L'hôtel était démodé et les buffets manquaient cruellement. Les bars étaient pratiquement inexistants. Mais le service était incroyable, les vues étaient magnifiques et la région était spectaculaire !

Outdated resort in an amazing town We had a wonderful time at the Barcelo Ixtapa! The resort was outdated and the buffets were definitely lacking. The bars were virtually non existent. But the service was amazing, the views were gorgeous, and the area was spectacular!

Bon centre de villégiature

Dans l'ensemble, l'hôtel est propre et le personnel sympathique. Ils ont besoin de travailler sur le bar à sushis. Ce n'était pas une bonne expérience. J'ai apprécié qu'ils changent les dollars (américains ou canadiens) en pesos à un taux compétitif.

Good resort Overall clean resort with friendly staff. They do need to work on the sushi bar. It was not a good experience. I liked that they would exchange dollars (either US or Canadian) into pesos at a competitive rate.

Des vacances fantastiques

C'est un hôtel accueillant et confortable. Il est très propre et vient d'être rénové. Le buffet était très bon, avec un grand choix de plats, du poisson aux pâtes et tout ce qui se trouve entre les deux. Tous les membres du personnel sont aimables et désireux d'apporter leur aide. Deux grandes piscines et une plage qui s'étend sur des kilomètres, les dauphins et les baleines peuvent être vus de votre balcon. Oui, j'ai bien dit baleines, je n'en croyais pas mes yeux ! L'eau est très chaude et idé [... lire plus]ale pour les planches à voile. Je recommande vivement cet endroit pour son atmosphère accueillante et décontractée.

Fantastic vacation This is a people friendly, comfortable hotel. Very clean and it has just been renovated. The buffet food was very good as they have a great selection of food from fish to pasta and everything in between. Every person on staff are friendly and eager to help in any way. Two big pools and a beach that goes for miles, dolphins and whales can be seen from your balcony. Yes i said Whales , I could not believe my eyes! The water is very warm and great for boogie boards. This place I would highly recommend with its welcoming layed back atmosphere.

Notre deuxième visite au Barcelo

Nous avons été très déçus à notre arrivée de constater que la seule piscine était en construction, ce qui signifiait que les enfants étaient autorisés à aller dans la piscine pour adultes, mais tout s'est bien passé une fois le week-end des vacances de Mexico passé. Nous étions au Barcelo Ixtapa il y a 4 ans, nous avons essayé un autre hôtel à Ixtapa l'année dernière et nous sommes retournés au Barceló Ixtapa parce qu'il était plus propre que l'autre. Le service est excellent, l'hôtel est beau e [... lire plus]t propre, les divertissements sont corrects (à l'exception de la soirée Michael Jackson, il leur faut un meilleur Michael Jackson). Le seul reproche est qu'il n'y a pas un grand choix de restaurants à la carte (un seul), nous ne nous en souvenions pas la première fois. Je pense que cela a changé.

Our 2nd visit to the Barcelo While we were very disappointed when we arrived to find the one pool under construction, meaning that the kids were allowed in the adult pool, it turned out okay after the Mexico holiday weekend passed by. We were at the Barcelo Ixtapa 4 years ago, tried another hotel in Ixtapa last year and returned to the Barceló Ixtapa because it was cleaner than the other place. Great service, nice and clean, entertainment was okay (except the Michael Jackson night, they need a better Michael Jackson). Only complaint is that there is not a good selection of a la carte restaurants (only one), we didn't remember that from the first time. I think that has changed.

Merveilleux hôtel

Ce fut l'une de nos vacances préférées. L'hôtel, le personnel et l'emplacement étaient tous excellents. Nous avons apprécié les animations tous les soirs et le fait de pouvoir prendre le bus pour aller en ville. Nous recommandons vivement cette chaîne d'hôtels.

Wonderful hotel This was one of our favorite holidays. The hotel, the staff and the location were all top notch.we enjoyed the entertainment every night and being able to take a bus into town. We would highly recommend this hotel chain.

L'hôtel est dépassé et n'est pas à la hauteur des autres complexes Barcelo. La plage est agréable pour se promener mais n'est pas praticable à cause du ressac. On nous a même prévenus dans le bus de l'aéroport de ne pas aller nager dans l'océan. Les piscines étaient agréables et confortables, mais pas glaciales. Le buffet est très petit et les choix limités. Les plats à la carte qui étaient excellents étaient le restaurant français et le barbecue en plein air près de la plage. Le restaurant mexi [... lire plus]cain à la carte à l'avant du bâtiment était assez horrible. Nous avons mangé du riz, le reste ressemblait à de la bouillie frite. De l'autre côté de la rue, il y avait un marché assez grand où l'on pouvait acheter toutes sortes de choses amusantes. Cela nous a permis de nous échapper de la plage lorsqu'il faisait trop chaud, car beaucoup de stands étaient à l'abri. Nous avons eu du mal à prendre une douche chaude, mais nos amis n'ont pas eu ce problème dans leur chambre. Le linge était changé tous les jours et nous avions beaucoup de serviettes, mais le ménage dans la chambre n'était pas à la hauteur. Le personnel du bar du hall d'entrée était très insuffisant le soir, une seule personne par nuit pour environ 75 personnes. L'attente pour une boisson était très longue et si vous alliez la chercher vous-même, vous deviez aller dans la discothèque et essayer de la faire entrer. Il n'y a pas du tout d'en-cas après le dîner. Un soir, le serveur a apporté des petits bols de pop-corn à nos tables et c'est tout. Mais vous pouvez certainement compter sur de magnifiques journées ensoleillées tous les jours, ce qui a été le meilleur aspect de ces vacances. Dans l'ensemble, chaque fois que l'on peut s'évader, c'est toujours une bonne chose ! Cependant, si vous recherchez l'élégance d'un complexe Barcelo normal, ce n'est pas l'endroit qu'il vous faut, son temps est révolu.

you can count on the weather here! The hotel is outdated and does not measure up to other Barcelo resorts. The beach is nice to walk on but is unswimmable because of the undertow. We were even warned on the bus from the airport not to go swimming in the ocean. The pools were nice and comfortable to go into, not freezing. The buffet is very small with limited choices. The a la cartes that were excellent were the french restaurant and the outdoor barbecue by the beach. The mexican a la carte at the front of the building was pretty awful. We ate rice, the rest was like refried mush. Across the street was a fair size market where you could buy all kinds of fun things. That made for a nice getaway from the beach when it got just too hot as a lot of the booths were under cover. We had a hard time getting a hot shower although our friends did not have this problem in their rooms. The linens were changed every day and we had lots of towels, although the actual housekeepping in the room was not up par. They were very poorly staffed at night time in the lobby bar, one person one night for about 75 people. You had a very long wait for a drink and if you went to get it yourself, you had to go into the disco and try and get it in there. There are no snacks after dinner at all. On one night the waiter brought around little bowls of popcorn to our tables and that was it. But you certainly can count on gorgeous sunny days every day so that was the best thing about this holiday. All in all, anytime you can get away from like, it is always a good thing! However if you are looking for the elegance of a normal Barcelo resort, this is not the place for you, its day has come and gone.

Excellent service de la part du personnel. Très informatif sur toutes les attractions. Excellente nourriture. J'ai beaucoup apprécié le choix de restaurants autres que le buffet. Il y avait toujours un restaurant ouvert dans l'enceinte de l'hôtel quand on avait besoin de manger.

Very Relaxing and clean resort. Excelent service Excellent service from the staff. Very informative about any attractions. Great food. Really enjoyed the choice of additional restaurants other than the Buffet. There was always a restaurant open on the grounds when ever you needed to eat.
