C'était notre deuxième séjour ici et il a été aussi agréable que le premier. La nourriture était bonne, la bière XX excellente, la plage magnifique. Le personnel était formidable. Le parcours de golf PGA sur la propriété est un plus. Nous avions une chambre avec accès direct à la piscine, ce qui était très rafraîchissant après avoir joué dans les vagues jusqu'à 14 h. Les meilleures vacances de notre vie.

Love this place Our second time here and it was as good as the first. Good food, XX Beer, nice beach. Staff were great. PGA Golf course on the property is a bonus. We had a swim up room and it was refreshing after playing in the waves for till 2pm. Best vacation ever.

Le snack-bar était toujours notre endroit préféré pour déjeuner, mais cette année, nous l'avons trouvé insuffisant. La plupart du temps, il n'y avait ni pico de gallo ni guacamole. Le poisson était toujours très bon, mais il fallait désormais passer commande via un système automatisé. Mon mari n'a pas trouvé les hamburgers appétissants. Le service au snack-bar laissait également à désirer cette année. Great resort We have made several trips to the Bahia principe Akumal with our family it is a good family Resort and the beach is perfect for young children. It is very large and we do lots of walking which we enjoy. There are also trollies to transport you around the resort should you want or need this. Our group was 3 families. Children ages 5,9,10,11 and 2 with parents and seniors 69. We were here two years ago with our family and we found the buffet to be exceptional for food select selection. This year, the food selection was still good, but we found it not to be quite as high-end as it was two years ago. The snack bar was always our favourite for lunch this year we found it lacking. Many days there was no pico de gallo or guacamole. They still had very good fish, but it was now in an automated ordering system. My husband found the hamburger un appealing. The service here at the snack bar was also lacking this year. When I asked about this, they indicated they were having trouble securing service people, which is a common issue at home as well. The staff were all very pleasant and did their best but there just were not very many around This Resort is being taken over by Hyatt and the transition is happening in the next few weeks from what I understand. We noticed more automation of services and the automation didn’t work well. We tried booking our à la cart restaurants online 10 days prior to arrival as they suggest and most of the restaurants were already booked. We were looking for early-ish reservations as we had children age 5 to 11 in our group. The rooms were clean and generally quiet. They were large enough to accommodate to adults and two children. The children had their own beds and the adults had a king bed. The service to the rooms was very good. The entertainment was good and drinks were tasty I would highly recommend exchanging your Canadian money to pesos prior to arrival. we had planned on exchanging money at the front desk and we did some of that but they generally only had 100peso and 200 peso notes to do the exchange. We were a group of 10 so leaving tips for meals, etc. for all of us was not a problem to leave this amount for tips. However, I do like to tip the servers for drinks at the pool, etc., and this created a bit of a problem. Overall, this is still a great resort and we enjoyed our stay very much. The food was good in the buffet and had decent variety. the KUUK À LA CARTE Restaurant was by far my favourite. The staff was very accommodating for a group of 10 and our grandchildren enjoyed having the cousins club at their own table as they could only seat six of us together. The children were at a table close to us and managed well. We found the staff very friendly and accommodating. We had a great time and would go back to this resort again.

Charmant complexe hôtelier

L'emplacement de notre bâtiment était idéal. On nous a placés dans la section réservée aux adultes du complexe, près de la piscine à débordement, avec vue sur la magnifique mer des Caraïbes et à quelques pas seulement du restaurant Katook, réservé aux adultes. Nourriture - La nourriture n'était pas excellente. Les plats du buffet étaient froids, certains aliments n'étaient pas frais et les plats n'étaient pas réapprovisionnés en temps voulu. Nous avons testé trois restaurants à la carte, mais [... lire plus] eux non plus n'étaient pas fantastiques, contrairement à ce que l'on pourrait attendre d'un complexe hôtelier de ce standing. Le pickleball étant devenu extrêmement populaire parmi les joueurs, il serait agréable d'avoir plus de deux terrains dans l'ensemble du Bahia Principe Resourt, et de les répartir entre les différents complexes (Akamal, Tequila, Coba, etc.).

Lovely Resort Our building location was ideal. They put us in the adult only section of the resort, close to the infinity pool, overlooking the beautiful carribean sea, and only steps from the adult only restaurant Katook. Food - The food was not great. The buffet dishes were cold, some food items not fresh and dishes were not replenished in a timely fashion. We took in three a'la carte restaurants and those too, were not fantastic as you would think it would be at the resort. As Pickleball has become extremely popular among players, it would be nice to have more than two courts in the entire Bahia Principe Resourt, and spread out among the different resorts (Akamal, Tequila, Coba, etc.)

Great resort! e had a wonderful stay at Bahia Akumal and truly enjoyed our time at this resort. From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcomed by the staff — everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind throughout our stay. The resort itself was very clean and well maintained, and the food exceeded all of our expectations with plenty of variety and great quality. The only downside of our experience was the dinner reservation system. We were allowed to make reservations 10 days prior to our arrival, but the only available times were 9:00 PM or later. This made it difficult to maintain our routine and get up earlier to make the most of our days. When we asked about earlier dining options, we were told we would have to wait and see if someone cancelled. Given the size of the resort, it felt like there could be more or larger restaurants to better accommodate guests. That said, this was a relatively small issue compared to how much we enjoyed everything else. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the location was ideal. Overall, we had a great experience and would absolutely recommend Bahia Akumal to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.

Bon complexe hôtelier

Les nouvelles chambres étaient superbes. Nous avons séjourné plusieurs fois dans cet hôtel et, d'après notre expérience, le buffet était bien meilleur auparavant, tant en termes de choix que de température des plats. Les plats étaient TOUJOURS FROIDS !!! Le système de chauffage qu'ils ont installé ne fonctionne PAS ! Nous envisagions d'y emmener nos enfants adultes et leurs conjoints fin 2026, mais cela pourrait bien nous en dissuader !

Good resort the new rooms were amazing. We have been to the resort multiple times and in our experience the buffet was far better in the past, as far as choices and mostly the temperature of the food. The food was ALWAYS COLD!!! The heating system they have implemented is NOT working! We were thinking of taking our adult children and spouses in late 2026, but this may be a deal breaker!

Séjour exceptionnel au Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal !

Ma femme et moi avons récemment séjourné pendant 11 jours au Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal, sur la Riviera Maya, et l'expérience a dépassé nos attentes à presque tous les niveaux. Chaque restaurant était différent, les menus étaient bien conçus et le service était attentif sans être intrusif. Le service dans l'ensemble du complexe était très bon, avec un personnel amical et professionnel qui est manifestement fier de ce qu'il fait. De l'entretien ménager aux restaurants en passant par les parties communes, l'équipe a créé un environnement accueillant et confortable. Un coup de chapeau particulier à Miguel, au Bar 66, sur la plage. C'est l'un des meilleurs barmen du complexe. La seule chose qui aurait pu être améliorée est le service de boissons aux piscines. Il nous arrivait souvent de ne pas voir de serveur pendant des heures. Outstanding Stay at Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal! My wife and I recently stayed at Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal in the Mayan Riviera for 11 days, and the experience exceeded our expectations on nearly every level. We stayed in a swim-out suite, which was absolutely worth it. The room was spacious, well maintained, and a perfect way to start and end each day. The resort itself is beautifully laid out, easy to navigate with passenger carts regularly shuttling guests to and from each of the adjoining resorts. The Tequila resort opened while we were there (on Dec 1st) and it looks amazing. The à la carte dining was a standout. We dined at 10 different restaurants, and the food quality and service were consistently excellent. Each restaurant felt distinct, the menus were well thought out, and service was attentive without being intrusive. Overall service throughout the resort was very good, with friendly, professional staff who clearly take pride in what they do. From housekeeping to restaurants to common areas, the team created a welcoming and comfortable environment. A special shout out to Miguel at Bar 66 on the beach. He's one of the best bartenders at the resort. The only thing that could have been improved was the drink service at the pools. We often would not see a server for hours. The evening shows were entertaining and well produced (especially the magician and the "Lumina" act), offering a nice variety and a fun way to wind down after the day. The weather was excellent throughout our stay, which only added to the enjoyment. My wife and I both had a fantastic time and would absolutely return to this resort without hesitation. Encore des vacances extraordinaires

Nous avons séjourné dans ce complexe pendant sept jours magnifiques. Nous avions une chambre face à l'océan qui était un peu désuète, mais la chambre était très propre et tout fonctionnait. La plage est rocailleuse à l'entrée, ce qui ne nous a pas gênés car nous portons toujours des chaussures d'eau. Nous n'avons eu aucun problème pour réserver les sept restaurants à la carte et nous avons eu droit à des plats extraordinaires dans tous ceux que nous avions réservés. Nous avons également trouvé q [... lire plus]ue les vins de la maison étaient très bons. Les transports autour du complexe sont excellents. Les trolleys passaient toutes les dix minutes, donc pas d'attente. Les divertissements nocturnes et le bar sportif sont très bons. Le service du personnel était incroyable et nous reviendrons sans aucun doute

Amazing holiday again Stayed at this resort for seven beautiful days. Had an ocean front room which was a little dated but room was very clean and everything work. The beach is rocky when entering which didn’t affect us as we always wear water shoes. Had no problem booking all seven a la carte restaurants and had amazing food at all that we booked. Also found there house wines to be very good. Transportation around the resort is great. The trolleys came around every ten minutes so no waiting around. Found the entertainment at night to be very good along with the sports bar. The service from the staff was unbelievable so we would definitely return

Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal

L'hôtel et le centre de villégiature disposent d'un grand espace piscine, d'une belle zone de baignade sur la plage et de nombreux espaces pour se détendre et se réunir avec notre groupe d'environ 20 voyageurs. Les réservations de restaurants ont été très difficiles, la plupart d'entre nous n'ont pu obtenir aucune réservation de restaurant et les salles de bains dans les halls semblaient toutes manquer de crochets à l'arrière des portes à l'intérieur des cabines. Les escaliers de la piscine étai [... lire plus]ent très glissants. Les matelas dans les bâtiments réservés aux adultes plus âgés sont comme des briques. Les services de navette autour du complexe et des complexes voisins étaient incroyables et le buffet principal était merveilleux avec un grand choix d'options alimentaires. Fabiola (équipe de divertissement) et Victoria (concierge) se sont toutes deux surpassées pour satisfaire notre grand groupe de voyageurs.

This hotel & resort has plenty of pool space, a nice beach swimming area and plenty of spaces to hang out in and gather with our group of approx. 20 travellers. Booking restaurants was very difficult, most of us couldn't get any restaurant reservations and the bathrooms in the lobbies seemed to all be missing hooks on the back of the doors inside the stalls. Pool stairs were super slippery. The mattresses in the older adults only buildings are like bricks. Shuttle services around the resort and neighbouring resorts was amazing and the main buffet was wonderful with a large selection of food options. Fabiola (entertainment team) and Victoria (concierge) both went above and beyond to accommodate our big travelling group.

Tripcentral let me down The resort/service/location/transportation were all outstanding. We enjoyed our trip immensely. However, the process of making dinning reservations was never explained or highlighted to us. We were unable to make a single reservation at one of the many dinning options after we arrived. Completely booked for the entire week. Although the buffet was quite nice we feel we missed out on so much We feel Tripcentral agents should have advised, no STRESSED to us, the ability and importance of making reservations in advance.

Bahia Principe Akumal resort was excellent in no small part because of excellent client service (Miguel, Francesco, Ricardo, Eddie, and Caroline - thank you!). Renovated rooms, pools, beaches are amazing. Food at restaurants was excellent and tasty! Highly recommend this resort!

Superbe station, très bonne nourriture et divertissement, très propre et entretenue, personnel sympathique, pas le meilleur front de mer, et très bien pour les familles mais pas pour les couples ou les célibataires, très étendu donc beaucoup de marche pour voir les choses, pas de vie nocturne pour les adultes sauf un bar sportif, je note un bon 8

Fantastic resort Great resort, great food and entertainment, very clean and maintained, nice friendly staff, not the best beach front, and its very nice for families but not for couples or singles, its very spread out so lots of walking to see things, no adult night life except a sports bar, I score a good 8

Nous avions déjà séjourné dans un complexe Bahai Principe en République dominicaine. Je l'avais tellement apprécié que lorsque j'ai envisagé de voyager ailleurs, j'ai délibérément cherché un complexe Bahai Principe. J'ai choisi de séjourner au luxueux Akumal et j'en suis ravie ! J'ai apprécié l'espace de la propriété. J'aime les choix à la carte, mais je recommande de les réserver à l'avance sur l'application Bahai Principe car les places sont prises très rapidement. Tout le personnel était joy [... lire plus]eux et serviable. Le buffet était très bon et il est recommandé d'attendre que le personnel cuisine des aliments frais. La plage était jolie mais rocheuse et les eaux agitées, j'ai donc préféré nager dans les piscines. Les chambres étaient belles et les lits confortables, bien que les chambres soient datées, j'ai cru comprendre qu'elles allaient être rénovées prochainement. Des navettes circulent fréquemment pour vous emmener autour du complexe ou vers les restaurants et les autres complexes bahá'ís.

Highly recommended! We had previously stayed at a Bahai Principe resort in the Dominican Republic. I enjoyed it so much, that when I looked to traveling elsewhere, I intentionally looked for a Bahai Principe resort. I chose to stay at the luxury Akumal and was glad I did! I enjoyed how spacious the property was. I like the a la carte choices, tho I recommend booking them in advance on the Bahai Principe app as spots get taken very quickly. All staff were cheerful and helpful. The buffet was very good and recommend waiting for staff to cook food fresh. The beach was pretty but rocky and waters rough, so I preferred to swim in the pools. The rooms were nice and beds comfortable, although the rooms are dated, I understand they are to be renovated soon. Shuttles run frequently to take you around the resort or to restaurants and other Bahai resorts.

Très bien entretenu. Nombreux moyens de transport pour se déplacer. La nourriture est bonne. Malheureusement, nous n'avons pas pu obtenir d'alacartes. Pas la meilleure plage. Beaucoup de choix de piscines. . Le personnel est sympathique. Notre douche aurait besoin d'être rénovée. Je n'ai pas été impressionné par la buée juste à l'extérieur de notre balcon au rez-de-chaussée. Pas d'avertissement.

Nice resort. Very well kept. Lots of transportation to get around. Food good. Unfortunately we could not get an alacartes. Not the best beach. Lots of pool selection. . All and all ok.Friendly staff. Our shower could use a makeover. Was not impressed with the fogging right outside of our ground floor balcony. No warning.

Un grand moment !

Grand complexe, mais le service de navette vous permet de vous rendre où vous le souhaitez dans le complexe et dans les complexes voisins : Coba, Tulum et le luxueux Sian Ka'an. La nourriture au buffet était très bonne avec un bon choix. Il était possible de réserver dans les restaurants... encore une fois avec de la bonne nourriture. Le personnel était très sympathique et s'est efforcé de rendre le séjour agréable. Je tiens à mentionner Maria au snack-bar et Jose au buffet pour leur excellent s [... lire plus]ervice. Je regrette seulement que le trajet en bus n'ait pas duré 1 h 45. Il aurait été bien de prendre l'avion jusqu'à Tulum.

Great Time! Large resort but the timely shuttle service gets you where you want to be within the resort and to the sister resorts…Coba, Tulum and luxury Sian Ka’an. Food at buffet was very good with a good selection. Was able to book in at restaurants…again with good food. Staff were very friendly and worked hard to ensure an enjoyable stay. Want to mention Maria at snack bar and Jose at the buffet for their great service. Only wish it was not an 1:45 hour bus ride. Would have been nice to fly into Tulum.

Station médiocre

Ce complexe n'était pas un complexe 4,5 étoiles. Une grande partie du complexe est en cours de rénovation et il faut compter sur les chariots pour se déplacer dans le complexe. Les chambres sont datées mais propres et le personnel est gentil et essaie de résoudre les problèmes lorsqu'ils se présentent. Le buffet du dîner et les animations nocturnes sont médiocres. Les buffets du petit-déjeuner et du déjeuner étaient bons. Il était agréable de pouvoir se rendre dans les autres complexes Bahía et  [... lire plus]dans les restaurants à la carte. La nourriture dans les restaurants à la carte était excellente. Cependant, la disponibilité des restaurants à la carte était limitée et nous n'avons pas pu en réserver pendant presque la moitié de notre séjour. Les marches des piscines sont glissantes et il n'y a pas d'adhérence pour éviter les glissades. La plage est rocailleuse et n'est pas aussi belle que les autres plages du Mexique.

Mediocre resort This resort was not a 4.5 star resort. A major part of the resort is under renovation and you mainly have to rely on the trolleys to get around the resort. The rooms are dated but are clean and the staff is nice and tries to resolve issues when they arise. The dinner buffet food and nighttime entertainment are subpar. The breakfast and lunch buffet were good. It was nice to be able to go to the other Bahía resorts and a la carte restaurants. The food at the a la carte restaurants was great. However, the availability at the a la carte restaurants was limited and we were unable to book any for almost half of our stay. The steps in the pools are slippery and there is no traction to prevent slips. The beach is rocky and not as nice as other beaches in Mexico.

Déçu

Notre expérience dans ce complexe est tellement décevante par rapport à notre expérience précédente avec le Bahia Principe Luxury - Esmeralda en République dominicaine. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Punta Cana et nous pensions que nous aurions la même expérience. Malheureusement, nous nous sommes trompés. En arrivant au resort, nous avons été accueillis par des travaux en cours sur le site : une partie de l'escalier à l'entrée est fermée car il est en cours de réparation, les bâtiments  [... lire plus]que nous avions initialement demandés font l'objet de travaux importants, la piscine principale est fermée en raison d'un dysfonctionnement de la machine/filtration. Ces travaux auraient dû nous être communiqués lorsque nous avons contacté le service clientèle du Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal par e-mail une semaine avant notre arrivée, car nous sommes un grand groupe et il y a quelques personnes dans notre groupe qui sont handicapées et incapables de marcher loin et de prendre des escaliers. Nous avons demandé des bâtiments spécifiques pour répondre à nos handicaps physiques, mais nous n'avons même pas été pris en compte et on ne nous a pas donné de meilleures options. La plage est également décevante, surtout près de la piscine à débordement. Nous ne pouvons pas vraiment profiter de la piscine ni du restaurant qui l'entoure parce que nous inhalons les fumées des tracteurs qui transportent les algues de cette plage. En fait, la vue depuis la piscine à débordement est celle des travailleurs et des tracteurs qui nettoient les algues sur la plage. De plus, les restaurants à la carte sont si difficiles à réserver par le biais de l'application pour notre groupe de 16 personnes. On m'a dit à la réception que j'aurais dû être dirigé vers un représentant des groupes/événements, ce qui n'a même pas été suggéré au début. Lorsque nous avons saisi notre chance d'aller dans l'un des restaurants à la carte, il était presque vide et pourtant l'application indique qu'il est plein. Lorsque nous avons demandé s'ils pouvaient nous accommoder, ils ont dit qu'ils pouvaient le faire à condition que nous achetions 2 bouteilles de vin pour notre groupe, ce qui coûte 100 $US. De plus, on nous a dit de payer 8 $ par noix de coco si nous en voulions une. La nourriture au buffet n'a rien d'extraordinaire et est au mieux médiocre. Le bar de la piscine principale a fermé tôt parce qu'il n'y avait plus d'alcool. Il y a aussi des chauves-souris et des cafards dans les chambres. Les portes des chambres communicantes sont littéralement vissées, de sorte que nous ne pouvons même pas accéder à l'autre chambre de l'intérieur. Pour le montant que nous avons payé pour ce tout inclus, ce n'est pas du tout un complexe de luxe. Ce n'est pas un all-inclusive. Je ne le recommanderai à personne. Ce complexe a ruiné les autres complexes Bahia pour nous.

Disappointed Our experience at this specific resort is so DISAPPOINTING compared to our previous experience with Bahia Principe Luxury - Esmeralda in the Dominican Republic. We had a great time in Punta Cana so we thought we would have the same experience. Unfortunately, we were so wrong. Driving in to the resort, we were welcomed with an ongoing construction at the site: parts of the stairs at the entrance is closed off as it is being fixed, the buildings we have initially requested for is going through major construction, the main pool is closed due to some machine/filtration malfunction. The construction should have been disclosed to us when we first connected with the 2 Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal Customer Care via email a week before our arrival since we are a big group and there are few people in our group that are handicap and unable to walk far and take stairs. We requested for specific buildings to accommodate our physical disabilities but we were not even accommodated nor given better options. The beach is disappointing too especially by the infinity pool. We can't really enjoy the pool nor the restaurant by it because you will inhale the fumes from the tractors that hauls the seaweed from that beach. Basically, the view from the infinity pool are the workers and the tractors cleaning the seaweed at the beach. Also, the ala carte restaurants are so hard to get reservations through the app for our group of 16. I was told at the front desk that I should have been referred to a Groups/Events Representative which was not even suggested in the beginning. When we took our chance to go to one of the ala carte restaurants, it was almost empty and yet the app says it's full. When we asked if they can accommodate us, they said they can as long as we purchase 2 bottles of wine for our group which cost $100 usd. Also, we were told to pay $8 per coconut if we want one. Food at the buffet is nothing to write home about and it's mediocre at best. The swim up bar at the main pool area closed early because they ran out of alcohol. We also have bats and cockroaches in the rooms. The doors to the connecting rooms are literally screwed shut so we can't even access the other room from the inside. For the amount of money we paid for this all-inclusive, this is not a Luxury resort at all. This is not all-inclusive. I will not recommend this to anyone. This resort ruined the other Bahia resorts for us.

Jim O'Neil

Tout s'est très bien passé. Jim, de Trip Central, a été un excellent interlocuteur et a répondu efficacement à toutes les demandes et questions que nous avions. Nous réserverons par l'intermédiaire de Jim en 2026, encore une fois merci beaucoup ! Le resort lui-même était une grande amélioration par rapport à Coba l'année dernière, j'ai également fait le parcours pga pro et j'ai été extrêmement impressionné par les conditions, les services et le pro shop.

Everything was great. Jim with trip central was excellent to deal with and was efficient at every request/question we had. We will be booking through Jim in 2026 again thank you so much! The resort itself was a great upgrade compared to coba last year, I also did the pga pro course and was extremely impressed with the conditions, services, and pro shop.

Meilleure formule tout compris au Mexique

C'est notre 5ème séjour dans un hôtel Bahia Principe. 3 fois au Mexique et 2 fois à Punta Cana. Propre, personnel serviable et amical. Beaucoup de choses à faire. Très bons divertissements. La dernière fois, nous y sommes allés avec 5 enfants. Nous avons vécu le parc aquatique de Coba. Nous reviendrons. 5 étoiles sur toute la ligne

Best all inclusive in Mexico This is our 5th time to a bahia principe hotel. 3 times in Mexico and 2 times in punta Cana. Clean, helpful friendly staff. Lots to do. Great entertainment. Went last time with 5 children. Lived the Waterpark in coba. We will be back. 5 star all the way
