Séjour fantastique à Cuba

Je reviens tout juste d'une semaine au Rio de Oro et j'ai passé un excellent moment ! Le complexe et le personnel étaient formidables - très accueillants et accommodants. Nous avons apprécié les spectacles de natation synchronisée dans la piscine (en particulier celui de nuit) et la plongée en apnée au large de la plage. Beaucoup d'efforts ont été faits pour que les clients soient heureux et se divertissent. Compliments aux chefs des restaurants à la carte - nous avons été très impressionnés par [... lire plus] la nourriture et le service. Nous sommes allés ici sur la recommandation d'un ami et je recommanderais absolument ce complexe à tout le monde !

Fantastic stay in Cuba Just got back from a week at Rio de Oro and had an amazing time! The resort and staff were terrific - very welcoming and accomodating. We enjoyed the synchronized swimming shows in the swimming pool (especially the one at night) and snorkelling right off the beach. A lot of effort was made to keep the guests happy and entertained. Compliments to the chefs in the a la carte restaurants - we were very impressed with the food and the service. We went here on the recommendation of a friend and I would absolutely recommend this resort to anyone!

Ce n'est pas une station 5 étoiles !

L'eau est pleine de rochers, la plage est petite, la nourriture n'est pas bonne au buffet. Le buffet est à l'extérieur, plein d'oiseaux qui mangent dans les assiettes, pas de variété de nourriture. Si vous voulez des vacances décentes et une belle plage, vous devez passer aux services royaux.

Not a 5 star resort ! Water is full of rocks, the beach is small , the food is not good at the buffet. Buffet is outside, full of birds that are eating from plates, poof variety of food. If you want a decent vacation and a nice beach you have to upgrade to royal services.

J'ai séjourné 6 fois dans ce complexe et je continuerai à le faire. Pourquoi changer la perfection ? Les gens, la nourriture, les divertissements et l'hébergement étaient excellents. Le directeur de l'hôtel, John Mark, m'a appris la bonne façon d'allumer et de fumer un cigare. J'apprends toujours quelque chose dans cet hôtel. 6x a Charm I have stayed at this resort 6x and will continue to. Why change perfection? The people, food, entertainment and accommodation were Excellent. The hotel manager John Mark taught me the proper way to light and smoke a cigar. I always learn something from this resort. The restaurants have amazing selection and service. Excellent pour les personnes âgées

Superbe hôtel pour les seniors mais PAS pour les jeunes ! Endroit très décontracté ... Pas d'environnement animé .... Le service est excellent et il n'y a pas de jeunes dans les environs, même dans la force de travail. Très bel endroit. La plage n'est pas terrible, mais ça va ! Dans l'ensemble, je préférerais PLAYA COSTE VERDE !!!

Excellent for Seniors Amazing Hotel for Seniors but NOT for the young people! Very relaxed place ... NO lively environment there .... Service is GREAT .. No young people around even in work force there. Very beautiful place. Beach is NOT that GREAT, but okay! Overall I would prefer PLAYA COSTE VERDE!!!

De superbes vacances !

Moi et mon mari avons séjourné au Paradisus Rio De Oro pendant une deuxième semaine de septembre 2016. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons passé de bonnes vacances, compte tenu du fait que c'était en basse saison et qu'il y avait des rénovations en cours. La seule chose négative qui nous a marqués était le fait que le restaurant buffet est situé dans un cadre de restaurant ouvert et qu'il pouvait être assez chaud et humide à l'intérieur. Mon mari s'est plaint de la règle du "pantalon long" pour assiste [... lire plus]r à un dîner buffet. De plus, les chaises avaient des poignées collantes et les revêtements étaient vraiment tachés. Les tables n'avaient pas de nappe, il n'y avait que des chemins de table en plastique et les couverts étaient posés directement dessus. Je comprends qu'il y ait un problème d'eau en général et c'est peut-être pour cela que les tables n'avaient pas de nappe ? Dans l'ensemble, nous avons été heureux de séjourner dans cet hôtel, il dispose d'un cadre magnifique, de nombreux espaces de détente pour profiter du paysage, la nourriture était très savoureuse. J'aurais aimé plus de types de bières, pas seulement de la bière légère dans le réfrigérateur. Au milieu de notre séjour, nous avons été déplacés dans une autre chambre, tout s'est bien passé et le personnel a été très serviable. Encore une chose, nous aurions pu réserver 4 restaurants à la carte, mais le monsieur qui réservait nos tables n'a réussi à réserver que 3 dîners, et il semble qu'il n'y ait eu aucune initiative pour nous aider avec le 4ème. Il semble que l'on s'attendait à ce que nous réservions une table dans la zone royale, où nous devrions payer, ce qui ne nous intéressait pas. Cela nous a laissé une impression négative. Sinon, je reviendrais.

Great vacation! Me and my husband stayed in Paradisus Rio De Oro during a second week of September 2016. Overall we had a great vacation, considering it was during a low season and there were renovations going on. The only negative thing that stood out for us was the fact, that the buffet restaurant is located in an open restaurant setting and it could be quite hot and humid in there. My husband was complaining about the " long pants" rule for attending a buffet dinner. On top of it, the chairs had sticky handles and upholsteries were really stained. The tables had no tablecloth, there were just plastic runners and cutleries were placed directly on it. Well, I understand that there is a problem with water generally and maybe that is why the tables had no tablecloth? Overall, we were happy to stay in this hotel, it has a beautiful settings, a lot of lounging areas to enjoy the scenery, food was very tasty. I would have enjoyed more types of beer, not only light beer in the fridge. In the middle of our stay, we were moved to another room, all went smoothly and staff was very helpful. One more thing, we could have had 4 a la card restaurant bookings, but the gentleman who was reserving our tables managed to book only 3 dinners, and there seem to be no initiative to help with the 4th one. It seemed, there was an expectation of us to reserve one in the Royal area, where we would have to pay for it and we were not interested, so after that, there was nothing available in Mediterranean restaurant. That had left a negative impression. Otherwise, I would return again.

Notre voyage a été extraordinaire ! Le complexe était magnifique, propre, bien entretenu et offrait tout ce que nous espérions et attendions. An Excellent Choice Our trip was amazing! The resort was beautiful, clean, well -maintained with everything we hoped for and expected. The food was plentiful and offered a huge variety of choice both at the buffet as well as at the a la carte restaurants. The very best feature of this resort was the staff. Everyone from the gardeners to bartenders, recreation staff to chambermaids, all were warm, inviting, gracious, and a delight to get to know during our week stay. I can't wait to go back.

Le bon côté des choses : Le personnel de l'hôtel était très gentil et serviable - poli et professionnel. La plage était magnifique - eaux cristallines. La chambre et le lit étaient confortables et propres. Les moins bons : Bien que je puisse voir la grandeur du complexe depuis son ouverture (on m'a dit qu'il y a 15 à 17 ans), il n'a pas été entretenu et apparaît comme minable et fatigué. Les fontaines de la propriété semblent ne pas avoir été nettoyées depuis des années. L'air conditionn [... lire plus]é de la chambre n'était pas adéquat et permettait tout juste de garder la chambre fraîche. Nous avons demandé à d'autres personnes ce qu'il en était de leur chambre et il semble que ce soit la norme. La pression de l'eau dans la douche semble être un problème car elle était juste au-dessus d'un filet d'eau et les toilettes mettaient du temps à se remplir entre deux utilisations. Bien que nous ne soyons pas des baigneurs, j'ai jeté un coup d'œil à la piscine et il semble qu'elle ne soit pas bien nettoyée... Il y avait des algues au fond à certains endroits. Le buffet était inférieur à la norme - il n'y avait pas de changement dans le menu quotidien, avec certains articles ramenés le lendemain, en particulier au petit déjeuner - je pense que la raison en est qu'il n'y avait qu'environ 250 clients dans l'hôtel, donc je suppose qu'ils essayaient d'éviter le gaspillage - en outre, il y avait un chat errant dans la salle à manger du buffet qui s'attendait à être nourri à partir de la table des clients. Les restaurants à la carte étaient meilleurs mais pas extraordinaires. Il y a beaucoup plus de travail à faire sur la plage pour la rendre plus propre car il n'y avait aucun signe que des balayages étaient faits régulièrement pour ramasser les pailles et les gobelets en plastique, certains palapas avaient besoin de réparations ou d'un remplacement complet et il en faudrait plus et ils pourraient être mieux espacés, car nous étions si proches les uns des autres que nous pouvions tendre la main et toucher la personne suivante. Les divertissements étaient corrects. Dans l'ensemble, nous donnons à ce complexe 3 étoiles sur 5.

Rating 3 out of 5 stars The Good: The staff of the resort were very nice and helpful - polite and professional. The beach was beautiful - crystal clear waters. The room and bed were comfortable and clean. The Not So Good: While I can see the grandeur of the resort from when it first opened (I was told some 15-17 years ago) it has not been maintained and shows as shabby and tired. The property fountains look like they haven't been cleaned in years. The air conditioning in the room was not adequate and just barely kept the room cool. We asked others about theirs and it seems that it is the norm. The water pressure in the shower appears to be an issue as it was just above a trickle and the toilets took some time to refill in between usage. While we are not pool bathers, I did peak at it and it seems not to be cleaned well...There appeared to have algae at the bottom in some parts. The buffet was below standard - there was no change in the daily menu, with some items being brought back the next day particularly at breakfast - I believe the reason was that there were only approximately 250 guests in the hotel so I assume they were trying to prevent waste - as well there was a roaming cat(s) in the buffet dining hall that expected to be fed from the table of guests. The Al a Carte restaurants were better but not stellar. Much more work is needed on the beach to make it cleaner as there were no signs that sweeps were done regularly to pick up leftover straws and plastic cups as well, some of the palapas needed repairs or complete replacement and in need of more of them and they could be spaced out better, as we were so close to one another we could reach out and touch the next person. The entertainment was ok. Overall we give this resort 3 stars out of 5.

Merveilleux centre de villégiature !

L'un des meilleurs complexes hôteliers où j'ai séjourné à Cuba ! J'ai été à Varadero de nombreuses fois et à Cayo Coco, mais ce complexe les surpasse tous. Tout était parfait, du personnel à la nourriture en passant par le terrain. Je reviendrai sans aucun doute ! La sortie de la station était très facile et il y avait de belles plages tout autour.

Wonderful resort! One of the best resorts I have stayed at in Cuba! I've been to Varadero many times and Cayo Coco and this resort beat them all. Everything was perfect from the staff to the food to the grounds. I would definitely return! Leaving the resort wa ma easy and beautiful beaches all around.

Paradisus Rio de Oro, Holguin - Cuba

Nous avons été très satisfaits de notre séjour au Paradisus, Holguin Cuba. L'hôtel est excellent et surtout, le personnel est vraiment merveilleux ! Nous aimons plus le restaurant Buffet que les autres restaurants - nous avons trouvé que la nourriture est un peu salée à notre goût. Nous devrons nous rappeler de leur dire d'y aller mollo sur le sel la prochaine fois que nous y serons :) Nous avons également eu une excellente expérience au spa.

We were very happy with our stay at Paradisus, Holguin Cuba. Hotel is excellent and most importantly, the staff are really wonderful! We like the Buffet restaurant more than the other restaurants - we found that food is a bit salty for our taste. We have to remember to let them know to take it easy on salt next time we're there :) We also had a great spa experience.

Cet hôtel est assurément un cinq étoiles qui répond à tous les besoins des vacanciers. La section royale est très calme et parfaite pour des vacances reposantes. La propriété est immense, donc si vous n'aimez pas marcher, préparez-vous à être transporté dans des chariots en or.

Great resort, great staff This hotel is definitely a five star that caters to all your vacation needs. Royal Section is very quiet and is perfect for a relaxing vacation. Property is huge so if you don't like walking be prepared to be shuttled around in gold carts.

Grand centre de villégiature

Le centre de villégiature était magnifique. Le personnel était exceptionnel. Très poli et très serviable. Le terrain était bien entretenu et très propre. La nourriture au buffet et à la carte était excellente. Les villas avec vue sur l'océan étaient agréables, sauf qu'il y avait des arbres, des mauvaises herbes et des buissons qui bloquaient la vue sur l'océan. Nous n'avons pas eu ces problèmes, mais les gens qui ont payé beaucoup plus cher pour cela ont été déçus. Je ne paierais pas pour cela. [... lire plus] Notre chambre était très agréable et proche du bâtiment principal. A deux minutes à pied de la piscine et de la plage. Je n'ai pas compris pourquoi, lors du dîner au buffet, les hommes devaient porter des pantalons longs, alors que les femmes pouvaient porter leurs maillots de bain ou des jeans décolletés. À deux reprises, une femme a porté son bikini string au dîner et personne ne lui a rien dit. Je comprends que l'on puisse s'habiller à la carte, mais dans un buffet qui n'est pas climatisé. Cela n'a aucun sens. Tous les hommes, comme moi, sont allés se changer dès que nous avons quitté le buffet pour profiter de la nuit aux spectacles. Dans l'ensemble, je dirais que c'est un vrai 5 étoiles pour Cuba. J'ai été à Cuba 12 fois et cet hôtel se classe parmi les meilleurs. Ma femme, qui est très difficile, l'a même apprécié comme l'un des meilleurs que nous ayons vus à Cuba.

Great Resort The resort was beautiful. The staff were exceptional. Very polite and very helpful. The grounds were kept tidy and very clean. The food at the buffet and a la carte were excellent. The Ocean view Villas were nice except that there were trees, weeds and bushes blocking the view to the Ocean. We did not have those, but people who paid a lot more money for those were disappointed. I would not pay for those. Our room was very nice close to the main building. A two minute walk to the pool and beach. I did not understand why at Dinner in the Buffet that men had to wear long pants, yet women could wear their bathing suits or cutoff jeans. On a couple occasions a women wore her thong bikini at dinner and nobody said anything to her. I can see in the A La Carte having to dress up, but in the buffet that was not air conditioned. Did not make sense. All the men as I did went and changed as soon as we left the buffet to enjoy the night at the shows. Over all I would rate it a true 5 star for Cuba. I have been to Cuba 12 times and this rates right up there with the best of them. My wife who is very picky even liked it as one of the best we have been to there.

THIS LONG TIME ADULTS ONLY FAVOURITE DID NOT DISAPPOINT. BUILDINGS WHERE WELL SPACED WITH VERY WELL MAINTAINED GROUNDS. OUR ROOM WAS A GROUND FLOOR,PATIO UNIT. IN BUILDING 40 THAT WAS 2 BUILDINGS FROM THE MAIN LOBBY AND THE BUFFET/A LA CARTE RESTAURANTS IN ONE DIRECTION WHILE 4 BUILDINGS FROM THE MAIN POOL. THE ROOM WAS A BED WITH SUNKEN SITTING AREA WITH A SMALL PATIO. THE POOL WAS A LARGE L-SHAPE THAT YOU COULD DO LAPS IN. ITS SWIM UP BAR WAS WELL ATTENDED AND A FOCAL POINT FOR MEETING OTHER GUEST (MOSTLY BRITS AND CANADIANS.). NEXT TO THE POOL WAS A WELL ATTENDED BAR AND GRILLE WHILE IN THE THE OTHER DIRECTION WAS THE SHORT WALK DOWN TO THE BEACH BAR AND GRILLE AND THE BEGINNING OF THE 2 KM. PLAYA ESMERELDA. THE GROUNDS HAD A WELL SHADED WALKING PATH ALONG THE SEA FOR A QUARTER MILE TO THE FAR END OF THE PROPERTY. THIS PATH TAKES YOU PAST A WELL APPOINTED GYM AND VERY NICE SPA WITH ITS OWN POOL AND SMALL PRIVATE BEACH. THERE IS ANOTHER SMALL BEACH AND A LARGER UNDER USED BEACH AT THE THE FAR EASTERN END OF THE PROPERTY. THIS IS BACKED BY THE UPSCALE ROYAL RESERVE UNITS UP THE HILL WITH ITS OWN MAIN LOUNGE AND RECEPTION BUILDING. OUR VISIT WAS MID JULY, OFF-SEASON BUT THE WEATHER WAS HOT WITH WARM NIGHTS. THE QUIETNESS OF THE RESORT AWAY FROM THE POOL AREA WAS VERY RELAXING. THE STAFF IN ALL AREAS WHERE VERY FRIENDLY AND APPROACHABLE IF YOU HAD QUESTION. I WILL RETURN HERE IN THE FUTURE AND CAN RECOMMEND IT.

Belle station balnéaire

Proche de la perfection, expérience très agréable sans services royaux. Endroit parfait pour les amateurs de plein air, peut-être un défi pour les non-nageurs en raison de l'entrée par voie d'eau. Endroit parfait pour la plongée avec tuba et la plongée sous-marine. Je viens de le recommander à mon fils et j'espère qu'il suivra notre conseil. Il est très difficile de trouver quelque chose de désagréable dans ce complexe et tout le personnel était très agréable et courtois. Nous n'avons jamais  [... lire plus]utilisé la piscine mais l'atmosphère était agréable autour de la piscine. Nous reviendrons à l'avenir.

Nice resort Close to perfection, very pleasant experience without royal services. Perfect location for outdoor people, maybe challenging for non swimmers because water way entrance. Perfect spot for snorkeling and diving. Just recommended to my son and hopefully he will get our advise. Very hard to find something unlikeable at this resort and all personnel was very pleasant and courteous. We never use the pool but was pleasent athmosfere around the pool. We will be back in the future.

Great Resort This resort is well kept, the grounds are beautiful and the staff is wonderful. The food was good but not great, probably because I don't eat pork and there was a lot of stuff with pork. Need more variety with non pork items

Un lieu de villégiature exceptionnel

L'hôtel était très accueillant et très propre. Les restaurants étaient de très bonne qualité et la piscine et la plage étaient superbes. Nous reviendrons certainement. La seule critique serait que le code vestimentaire en soirée est un peu désuet étant donné que nous sommes en 2016, je pense qu'ils devraient assouplir un peu les règles.

Terrific Resort The resort was very friendly was also very clean. The restaurants were very good quality and the pool and beach were great. Will be back again for sure. Only criticism would be the evening dress code is a bit antiquated being that it's 2016 I think they should relax the rules a bit.

Le pire service à la clientèle

Le terrain, les chambres, la plage et les employés de l'hôtel sont tous excellents. Le service à la clientèle de l'hôtel était vraiment PAUVRE et aucun directeur n'était disponible pour aider ou rendre service. Ne payez pas pour le service WIFI car ils n'en ont pas et ils vous prennent votre argent. HOMMES - N'oubliez pas d'apporter des pantalons car cela ne nous a pas été communiqué avant notre départ et mon mari a dû être escorté hors du buffet par des gardes de sécurité... ? Ridicule !

Worst Customer Service Grounds, rooms, beach and hotel workers all great. Customer service at the resort was beyond POOR with no manager ever available to help or be of service. Do not pay for WIFI service as they have none and they take away your money. MEN- Remember to bring pants as this was not communicated to us before we departed and my husband had to be escorted out of the buffet via security guards?? Ridiculous!

Rien que de l'excellence

Pas vraiment un hôtel cinq étoiles. Ala cartes lent

La climatisation ne fonctionnait pas vraiment. Service lent à l'Ala carte. J'ai apprécié le fait qu'il y ait des zones non-fumeurs. Calme et relaxant si c'est ce que vous voulez faire. Il n'y a pas beaucoup de magasins locaux..

Not really a five star hotel. Ala cartes slow Air conditioning was not really working. Slow service at Ala carte. I liked the fact that it had non smoking areas. Quiet and relaxing if that is what you want to do. Not a lot of local shopping..

C'était notre quatrième voyage à Cuba et alors que nous séjournons habituellement dans des complexes 4 ou 4,5 étoiles, je dois dire que le Paradisus est de loin le complexe le plus agréable dans lequel nous ayons séjourné. Les logements étaient grands et confortables, le terrain était impeccablement entretenu et la nourriture était très bonne. Ce fut de loin l'une des vacances les plus faciles et les plus relaxantes que nous ayons prises. La plage principale ainsi que les petites plages privé [... lire plus]es sont très agréables, le spa et son cadre sont vraiment magnifiques et à ne pas manquer lors d'un séjour au Paradisus. Bien que nous n'ayons pas participé au service royal, d'autres clients nous ont dit qu'il était vraiment fantastique. Lors de notre prochain voyage à Cuba, nous retournerons au Paradisus et, nous l'espérons, au Royal Service.

Absolute Paradise! This was our 4th trip to Cuba and while we normally stay in 4 - 4.5 star resorts, I have to say the Paradisus was by far the nicest resort we have stayed. The accommodations were large and comfortable, the grounds were impeccably kept and the food was very good. This was by far one of the easiest and most relaxing vacations we have taken. The main beach along with the little private beaches are very nice, the spa and it's setting is truly magnificient and a must do while staying at the Paradisus. While we didn't do the Royal Service we heard from other guests that it is truly fantastic. Our next trip to Cuba will be back to the Paradisus and hopefully the Royal Service.
