VIK Hotel Arena Blanca: Décent pour des vacances bon marché

Les chambres étaient très propres mais désuètes et la nourriture des chariots à la carte était incroyable et le fait de ne pas avoir à réserver était encore mieux. Nous avons eu quelques soucis et je sais que nous ne devrions pas nous plaindre, mais nous avons dû éteindre l'air conditionné car nous avions trop froid et il n'y avait qu'un drap et une fine couverture. La douche était irrégulière, le plus souvent sans eau chaude. Les piscines étaient magnifiques ainsi que la plage ondulée. Le perso [... lire plus]nnel des chariots à la carte était sympathique et toujours présent pour vous resservir du vin, qui était délicieux. Le personnel du bar travaillait en mode robot et n'était pas interactif, mais c'était bien qu'il y ait une liste de boissons. La pire chose pour notre semaine était que les chaises de piscine étaient réservées à 5 heures du matin et que quelqu'un ne se présentait que plus tard dans l'après-midi. Si j'étais ce resort je mettrais un terme à cela oh et le fait de fumer partout n'est pas agréable.

Decent for a cheap vacation The rooms were very clean but outdated and the food at the à la carts were amazing and not having to make a reservation was even better. We had a little concerns and I know we shouldn’t complain we had to turn the air conditioning off as we were to cold as there was only a sheet and a thin blanket. The shower was hit and miss mostly miss no hot water. The pools were beautiful and so was the wavy beach. The staff at the à la carts were nice and would always be around to refill your wine which was delicious. The bar staff just worked on robot mode and not interactive it was great they had a drink list. The worst thing for our week was that the pool chairs were reserved at 5 am in the morning and someone wouldn’t show up to later in the afternoon. If I was this resort I would put a stop to this oh and the smoking everywhere is not pleasant.

Dreams Cap Cana Resort and Spa: Médiocre pour un cinq étoiles

Le service était excellent, mais la nourriture et les animations méritaient tout au plus trois étoiles. Il n'y avait pas d'eau chaude dans la première chambre, et la deuxième présentait une fuite d'eau qui m'a fait glisser et tomber. Je n'ai pas apprécié le manque d'intérêt manifesté par la direction par la suite. Je n'y retournerai pas.

Mediocre for a five star Excellent service but the food and entertainment was 3 star tops. No hot water in the first room, second room had a water leak that caused me to slip and fall. Not happy with the lack of concern on the managements part afterwards. Won’t return.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Un superbe complexe hôtelier, surtout avec la formule Royal !

Nous avons séjourné au Gran Ventana du 24 au 31 mars dans la chambre 1342 du bâtiment Sanoa. Nous avons opté pour la formule Royal et nous la recommandons sans hésiter. Le Vintage Lounge est incroyable, la meilleure partie de la plage est réservée aux clients ayant choisi les formules Premium et Royal, et nous avons apprécié de dîner au restaurant à la carte tous les soirs. La plage était extrêmement propre ; il y avait quelques coraux par endroits, mais on pouvait tout de même se baigner facile [... lire plus]ment. Les chambres sont simples mais propres, la nourriture était bonne, le service était bon partout sauf aux heures de pointe au buffet où il était lent car le complexe était complet. Le complexe est petit, mais cela signifie que tout est à proximité. Le bâtiment Beata donne l'impression d'être en dehors du complexe car il se trouve de l'autre côté du hall d'entrée ; certaines personnes préfèrent ce coin plus calme, mais nous avons préféré les bâtiments Sanoa ou Catalina qui sont plus proches de la plage et qui étaient également calmes, sauf si l'on faisait face à la piscine pendant la journée. Le cours de yoga quotidien était un plus, nous n'avons pas essayé les autres activités. Nous avons constaté que la plupart des voyageurs venaient du Canada ; le personnel semblait heureux de travailler là-bas et était toujours serviable, avec ou sans pourboire. Nous ne retournons généralement pas dans les mêmes complexes hôteliers, mais nous comprenons pourquoi GV compte autant de clients fidèles et nous envisagerions d'y retourner pour un prochain voyage !

Great resort, especially with Royal package! Stayed at the Gran Ventana March 24-31 in the Sanoa building room 1342. We upgraded to the Royal package and would definitely recommend. The Vintage Lounge is amazing, the best part of the beach is reserved for those with Premium and Royal upgrades and we enjoy going to à la cartes every night. The beach was extremely clean, some coral in places but you could still get in the water easily. The rooms are basic but clean, food was good, service was good everywhere except at peak times at the buffet was slow as resort was full. The resort is small but this means everything is close. The Beata building feels outside the resort as it is on the other side of the lobby, some people prefer this quieter area but we preferred the Sanoa or Catalina buildings which are closer to the beach and were also quiet unless facing the pool in the daytime. Daily yoga was a bonus, didn’t try other activities. We found most travellers were from Canada, the staff seemed happy to be working there and were always helpful, tips or not. We don’t generally return to resorts but we can see why GV has so many repeat customers and we would consider it for the a future trip!

Playabachata Hotel: Un complexe hôtelier exceptionnel

Tout était très bien entretenu. C'était très pittoresque. Tout le personnel est formidable. La plage était toujours propre et ratissée le matin. Nous n'avons rien à redire sur ce complexe. Et le buffet offrait un choix immense. Tout le personnel travaille d'arrache-pied.

Amazing resort Everything was nicely kept. Very picturesque. All the staff are wonderful. The beach was always cleaned and raked in the morning. We have nothing bad to say about this resort. And the buffet had so many options for food. All the staff work so hard.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Un complexe hôtelier vraiment incroyable

Tout était parfait. Je n'ai absolument rien à redire. L'hôtel était très propre et le personnel était très poli et sympathique. Le choix des plats et les portions étaient parfaits. Ce furent des vacances très reposantes. J'espère pouvoir y retourner en famille l'année prochaine.

A very amazing resort Everything was perfect. No complaints at all. Very clean hotel and the employees were very polite and friendly. Choices of food and portions were perfect. It was a very relaxing holiday. Hope to do a family vacation next year.

Grand Bavaro Princess: Merveilleux centre de villégiature.

La station était grande mais facilement accessible, le train circulait régulièrement. Les suites des bungalows étaient bien aménagées et grandes, et le complexe était propre. La plage était magnifique, du sable blanc et doux et les algues étaient sous contrôle. Le personnel était amical et serviable. De l'enregistrement au départ, nous n'avons eu aucun problème. Lors de l'enregistrement, Carlos M. a été patient avec nos demandes et nous a aidés à réserver des chambres proches les unes des autres [... lire plus] car nous voyagions avec des amis. Nous avons pu garder une suite après le départ de midi car nous rentrions tard. Le directeur du restaurant, Miguel Ramirez, nous a aidés à réserver les cartes à la carte et d'autres aspects de nos vacances. La nourriture à la carte était bonne, nous recommandons fortement Samara (indien) et le buffet de la plage était bon, pas très varié mais nous avons toujours trouvé quelque chose à manger. Nous avons pris le petit déjeuner et le déjeuner au buffet tous les jours. Ils grillaient quelque chose et faisaient de la palella tous les midis sur le patio près de la plage. Le buffet principal était bon, avec beaucoup de variété. Le buffet principal était bon et très varié. Les camions de nourriture et de bar sur la plage étaient une touche agréable. Nous n'avons aucun problème à recommander ce complexe aux couples et aux familles. Nous n'aurions aucun problème à y retourner. Semaine du 21 au 28 mars 2006.

Wonderful resort. Resort was big but easily accessible, the train ran regularly. Bungalow suites were well appointed and big and the resort was clean. Beach was amazing, soft white sand and seaweed was under control. Staff was friendly and helpful.From check in to check out we had no issues. At check in, Carlos M. was patient with our requests and helped with booking rooms close to each other as we were travelling with friends.We were able to keep one suite past the 12 noon checkout as we were coming back late. The restaurant manager Miguel Ramirez was helpful with booking the à la cartes and other aspects of our vacation. Food at the à la cartes was good, strongly recommend Samara (Indian) and the beach buffet was good, not a lot of variety but always found something to eat. Had breakfast and lunch at the buffet every day. They were grilling something and making palella every lunch hour on the patio by the beach.The main buffet was good, with lots of variety. The food and bar trucks at the beach were a nice touch. Have no problem recommending this resort to couples and families. We would have no problem returning to this resort. Travelled week of Mar 21-28/26.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: On s'est bien amusés !!

Nous avons récemment séjourné ici à l'occasion de notre voyage de golf annuel entre hommes. Nous avons passé un excellent moment. Le parcours était en bon état et répondait à nos attentes ; nous y retournerions sans hésiter. Même si les chambres étaient un peu vieillottes, cela ne nous a pas dérangés car nous n'avions pas prévu d'y passer beaucoup de temps. Le complexe a largement compensé cela avec une excellente cuisine et des équipements de qualité. Il y avait de nombreux espaces à découvrir  [... lire plus]et des piscines où se détendre, que ce soit pour s'amuser ou pour profiter d'un coin tranquille. Le spa était un vrai plus : après une longue journée de golf et quelques verres au bord de la piscine, nous avons pu profiter chaque jour du sauna, du jacuzzi et du bassin d'eau froide sans frais supplémentaires. Remarque concernant le golf : bien qu'il soit « inclus » dans votre séjour, l'utilisation des voiturettes était facturée 95,00 $ par personne et par partie.

Great Time!! We recently stayed here for an annual boys golf trip. We had a great time. Course was in good shape and met our needs, we would go back again for sure. Although the rooms were a bit dated we were not worried as we didn't plan to be there too much. The resort made up for it with great food and better amenities. Lots of different areas to visit and pools to be at if you wanted to have a good time or sit in a quiet area. Bonus was the spa, after long day of golf and a few pool drinks, we hit the sauna, hot tub and cold plunge daily for no extra cost. Please note for the golf, although its 'included' in your trip there was a daily fee for using the carts of $95.00 per person per round.

Cet hôtel est plus petit que ceux où j'ai séjourné auparavant ! Cela ne me dérange pas, car l'ambiance y était moins agitée et plus relaxante, même s'il affichait complet ! La cuisine était excellente et offrait un large choix. L'établissement était propre, bien organisé et disposait de toutes les commodités nécessaires pour passer de superbes vacances, sans oublier un personnel aimable et serviable !

Great resort This resort is a smaller size in comparison to previous ones I have visited! This is not a negative for me as it was less chaotic and more relaxing despite being fully booked! Food was great with lots of options. Resort was clean, well organized and had all amenities needed for a great vacation including a friendly, helpful staff!

Le buffet est l'un des meilleurs que j'aie jamais vus dans un hôtel tout compris : il y a beaucoup de choix et les plats sont savoureux. Le service était globalement bon, mais il y avait beaucoup de monde. Il n'y  [... lire plus]avait pas de longues files d'attente, mais parfois, le service du café et de l'eau au petit-déjeuner était un peu lent. Mais comme nous étions en vacances, ce n'était pas grave. Les fumeurs pouvaient parfois manquer de respect, mais ce n'est pas la faute de l'hôtel. La piscine était agréable et propre, et la plage était magnifique, idéale pour se promener. Les chambres étaient spacieuses, un peu vieillottes mais très propres, et la climatisation fonctionnait bien. Je recommanderais sans hésiter cet hôtel et j'y retournerais sans aucun doute grâce à son personnel merveilleux et aimable.

Perfect Resort I now know why this resort has so many good reviews.The resort is small which makes it easy to get oriented and everything a short walking distance. The resort is very clean always staff sweeping mopping and cleaning .The Buffet is one of the best I have experienced in an all inclusive lots of choices and flavourful. The service for the most part was good but it was very busy no long lineups anywhere but sometimes coffee and water at breakfast was slow but we were on vacation so no biggie.Smokers could be disrespectful at times but that is no fault of the resort The pool was nice and clean the beach was beautiful great for walking. Rooms were large dated but very clean AC worked well. I would certainly recommend this resort and would definitely stay again Because of the wonderful kind staff

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Des vacances géniales

Gran Ventana était génial !! C'était ma troisième visite dans ce complexe. Le personnel est tellement sympathique et aimable. La nourriture était excellente… On a opté pour le buffet la plupart des soirs, mais on a essayé le menu à la carte un soir… Les plats étaient excellents dans les deux cas. Beaucoup de choix et tout était délicieux… Tout était impeccablement propre… Je n'ai que des éloges à faire sur ce complexe… 10/10… J'ai hâte d'y retourner !

Awesome Vacation Gran Ventana was Awesome!! My third time visiting this resort. The staff are so friendly and kind. The food was awesome…..we did the buffet most nights but did an a la carte one night…the food at both was great. Lots of variety and delicious….so clean…Nothing but great to say about this resort…10/10….Can’t wait to go back!

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Un complexe hôtelier exceptionnel

Nous avons passé un séjour formidable. Nous avons voyagé en famille avec deux enfants de 9 et 11 ans (non membres du Diamond Club). Le domaine était magnifique, le parc aquatique était un vrai plus, la nourriture était excellente. La plage était superbe. Les chambres étaient un peu vieillottes. Nous avons séjourné dans l'appartement 22, qui était l'un des plus éloignés de tout, mais nous étions juste à côté du hall du Splash. Nous avons profité trois fois du menu à la carte. Nous n'avons pas eu [... lire plus] de problème avec le système de réservation, contrairement à d'autres. Nous avons adoré le bar à glaces Scoops et le café. Le buffet proposait toujours un large choix de plats. Personne de notre groupe n'est tombé malade. Les piscines étaient magnifiques, mais elles auraient besoin d'être rénovées, car certains carreaux coupants posaient des problèmes à certains enfants. Dans l'ensemble, ce furent de merveilleuses vacances, et je recommande vivement cet endroit, surtout si vous avez des enfants qui aiment les parcs aquatiques.

Amazing Resort We had a wonderful time. Travelled as a family with a 9 and 11 year old (non diamond club). Grounds were amazing, water park was an added bonus, food was great. Beach was wonderful. Rooms were a bit dated. We stayed in unit 22 which was one of the furthest units from anything, but we were next to the splash lobby. We did three à la cartes. Didn’t have trouble with the booking system like some others did. We loved the scoops gelato bar and the cafe. Buffet always had lots of food. No one got sick from our group. The pools were wonderful but could use some fixing up as there was some sharp tiles that were causing issues for some of the kids. Overall it was a wonderful vacation, and would highly recommend especially if you have kids that enjoy water parks.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Magnifique complexe hôtelier

L'Ocean El Faro dispose d'un hall d'entrée très impressionnant et de superbes suites. Les piscines et la rivière lente sont très agréables. En revanche, la cuisine des restaurants à la carte laisse beaucoup à désirer : par exemple, j'ai commandé une tarte Tatin au Blue Moon, mais les pépins et le trognon étaient encore attachés aux quartiers de pomme cuits, et la pâte feuilletée était toute molle. Le service est globalement très lent, mais le service de ménage était efficace. La plage est très r [... lire plus]ocailleuse et il y a toujours un drapeau rouge, ce qui est normal dans cette région. Il y a toutefois une baie tranquille juste au nord de l'hôtel, idéale pour la baignade.

Beautiful resort Ocean El Faro has a very impressive main lobby and beautiful suites. The pools and lazy river are very good. However the food in the a la carte restaurants leaves a lot to be desired, e.g. I ordered apple tarte tatin in the Blue Moon and the seeds and core were still attached to the baked apple segment and the puff pastry was flat. Service is very slow overall but housekeeping was good. The beach is very rocky and there's always a red flag which is normal in this area. However there is a tranquil bay just north of the hotel which is good for swimming.

Playabachata Hotel: Jouer à la bachata

L'emplacement et le complexe hôtelier sont très bien. Nous avons passé de superbes vacances de 7 jours. Nous y retournerions si le prix était raisonnable. La plage n'est pas du niveau de celle de Varadero. Nous avons apprécié de pouvoir profiter de certaines installations du Senator voisin, en particulier de la grande zone Wi-Fi !

Playabachata Good location and resort. We had a great 7 day vacation. We would go again is the price was right. The beach is not at the level of Varadero. We enjoyed being able to share some of the Senator neighbouring location especially the large wifi zone!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Une expérience incroyable

Nous avons passé une semaine à l'Amber, au Bahia Principe, du 26 mars au 2 avril. Dès notre arrivée, j'ai su que nous étions au bon endroit. Ma femme et moi avons vécu une expérience formidable grâce à Lucia et à son équipe : ils nous ont fait nous sentir privilégiés. La cuisine était excellente, même si le vin maison aurait pu être meilleur. Le service de ménage et le personnel étaient très sympathiques. Je recommande sans hésiter cet hôtel : 5 étoiles sans réserve.

Le complexe est magnifique mais les chambres sont vieillottes et nous n'avons jamais eu d'eau chaude dans notre chambre. La plage était magnifique et la nourriture était bonne. Le personnel était incroyable, il était heureux, serviable et gentil. La nourriture était bonne et la piscine était belle et grande

Bahir Resort The resort was beautiful but the rooms were dated and we never had hot water in our room. The beach was lovely and the food was good. The staff were amazing they were happy, helpful and kind. The food was good and the pool was nice and large

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Niveau Premium

L'hôtel est daté mais très propre. Nous n'avons pas eu de problème d'eau chaude pour les douches et tout dans la chambre fonctionnait bien. Notre chambre était située près de la zone de divertissement, donc le soir il y avait beaucoup de bruit jusqu'à 23h30. C'est notre seule plainte et si nous devions revenir, nous demanderions absolument une chambre plus calme. L'achat du surclassement au niveau premium est absolument indispensable. La zone des chaises de plage, le salon privé et d'autres amél [... lire plus]iorations font que le coût vaut bien le petit supplément que vous payez. La nourriture était toujours bonne et nous avons apprécié les 3 restaurants à la carte ainsi que le buffet. Le personnel est aimable et serviable. Le pourboire n'est pas attendu, mais il est apprécié. Nous avons adoré la plage. Nous n'avons pas utilisé les piscines.

Premium level The hotel is dated but very clean. We had no issues with hot water for showers and everything in the room worked well. Our room was near the entertainment so in the evening it was very loud until 11:30pm. This was our only complaint and if we were to return we would absolutely ask for a quiet room. Purchasing the premium level upgrade is an absolute must. The beach chair area, private lounge and other upgrades make the cost well worth the bit extra you pay. The food was consistently good and we enjoyed the 3 Al a carte restaurants as well as the buffet. Staff were friendly and helpful. Tipping is not expected but appreciated. We loved the beach. Did not use the pools.

Nous avons observé que les ordures n'étaient pas toujours ramassées, les gobelets de bar semblaient être laissés partout et n'étaient pas ramassés à la fin de la journée. Les chaises cassées sur la plage n'ont pas été ramassées par le personnel. La nourriture était assez bonne et abondante mais aurait pu bénéficier d'une saveur plus forte et l'ail manquait particulièrement dans les plats évidents. Le person [... lire plus]nel était très courtois et prêt à servir mais pas très enthousiaste à le faire. Les règles communes n'étaient pas du tout appliquées par la direction. Pas de valet pour porter nos bagages à notre chambre lorsque nous sommes arrivés à 23h30 n'a pas été apprécié et plus d'un préposé à la réception pour un grand groupe d'arrivées aurait certainement été bénéfique. Nous avons dû attendre jusqu'au lendemain matin pour obtenir une clé de coffre-fort. L'absence de cafetière dans notre chambre était décevante. L'approvisionnement en eau était excellent, les toilettes fonctionnaient bien, les couloirs étaient bien éclairés, ce qui est très appréciable.

Lovely Resort Aged resort which could do with some refurbishment but very clean for the most part. We did observe garbage not always picked up, bar cups seemed to be left everywhere and not picked up at end of day. Broken chair parts around the beach area not retrieved by staff. Food was quite good and plentiful but could benefit from stronger flavour and garlic especially missing from obvious dishes . Staff very courteous and willing to serve but not very excited to do so. Common rules were not being enforced by management at all. No valet to take our luggage to our room when we arrived at 11:30 at night was not appreciated and more than one reception Attendant for a large group of arrivals would certainly have been beneficial. We had to wait til the next morning for a safe key. No coffee pot in our room was disappointing. Water supply was great, toilet worked well, corridors are well lit -much appreciated.

Adults Only Club at Lopesan Costa Bavaro: Lopesan Costa Bavaro

Les vacances ont été très agréables du début à la fin. Le voyage était facile, le complexe était magnifique, la nourriture n'a pas déçu. S'il y avait un point négatif, ce serait que les chambres sont assez humides. En lisant les commentaires avant de partir, nous avons apporté des sacs de rangement secs et cela nous a énormément aidés. Le temps chaud, la plage et les piscines nous manquent déjà !

The vacation was lovely, start to finish. Travel was easy, resort was beautiful, the food did not disappoint. If there was any negative, it would be the rooms are quite moist. Reading reviews before we went we brought some dry rid bags and it helped tremendously. We’re already missing the warm weather and the beautiful beach and pools!
