La nourriture au buffet était bonne, les chariots à la carte étaient terribles. Les chambres étaient vieilles mais propres. Nous n'avions pas de pression d'eau du tout. Le personnel était très sympathique. La piscine était propre et bien entretenue toute la journée. Le resort est proche du centre ville. Beaucoup de serviettes de plage sèches. Si vous les laissez traîner, elles disparaissent

The price was right The food at the buffet was good,, The a la carts were terrible. The rooms were old but clean. We had no water pressure st all. The staff very friendly. The pool area was clean and well kept up all day. The resort is close to down town. Lots of dry beach towels. If you leave them laying around, they go missing

Hotel Los Cactus: Grand centre de villégiature

Tout d'abord, il s'agit de Cuba et non de Las Vegas. Les étoiles n'ont pas la même signification qu'en Amérique du Nord. Cela dit, c'est un excellent lieu de vacances avec de grandes chambres propres et un personnel serviable et amical. La plage est magnifique, avec du sable blanc et de l'eau chaude et de nombreuses chaises. La nourriture est bonne si vous choisissez bien. Choisissez des aliments cuits librement sur le gril et vous ne vous tromperez pas. Et vraiment, les prix sont très bon march [... lire plus]é si l'on considère ce que l'on paierait chez soi pour une vacance de 7 jours avec nourriture et boissons ! C'est un excellent complexe, j'y suis allé 6 fois, et 18 fois à Cuba en tout.

Great resort First off this is cuba not Las Vegas. The star rating do not carry the same meaning as they would in north america. Having said that, this is an excellent vacation spot with large clean rooms and helpful and friendly staff. The beech is WOW, white sand and warm water with plenty of chairs. The food is good if you choose wisely. Select foods cooked freash on the grill and you will not go wrong. And really people, the prices ar dirt cheap considering what you would pay back home for a 7day vaction with food and drink!!! A great resort, been there 6 times,and 18 times in cuba overall.

Hotel Los Cactus: Station balnéaire tranquille

le service était bon, la nourriture était correcte si vous avez l'habitude de manger de la nourriture cubaine, sinon vous devrez dîner à l'extérieur. Le terrain était fantastique, la plage était probablement la plage la plus propre que j'aie jamais vue à Cuba.

Quite resort the service was good, the food was OK if you are used to eat Cuban food if not you will have to dine out the grounds were fantastic, the beach are was probably the most cleaned beach I ever seen in Cuba.

Rooms on the Beach Negril: Grand centre de villégiature

Tout était très bien, petit hôtel calme, propre, soigné. Il y avait des petites choses qui pourraient être améliorées. Il n'y avait pas de savon dans la salle de bain. Le petit déjeuner souffrait de quelques lacunes. Nous avons fait l'excursion recommandée par l'agent. Le guide était bien informé et tout était conforme au programme de l'excursion.

Great resort Everything was great, Small quiet, clean, neat hotel. There were small things could be improve. There was no soap in the bathroom. The breakfast suffered some shortages. We took the trip recommended by the agent. The guide was knowledgeable and everything according to trip schedule.

Breezes Bahamas: Un séjour agréable et relaxant

Nous sommes retournés au Breezes après de nombreuses années et, bien qu'il ait pris un peu d'âge, les propriétaires veillent à ce que tout se passe bien. La nourriture était bonne, y compris le buffet. Les portions étaient saines, donc ne vous attendez pas à des steaks de 20oz. Cependant, la nourriture était bien cuisinée et nous nous sommes sentis satisfaits après chaque repas. Les chambres étaient basiques mais le lit était confortable et c'est le plus important. Certaines personnes se sont  [... lire plus]plaintes de l'humidité dans les chambres, mais bien qu'il y en ait eu, ce n'était pas pire qu'au Riu en Jamaïque ou à Aruba. Etant donné que l'île a subi une semaine entière de fortes pluies à cause d'un ouragan 3 semaines auparavant, je peux leur accorder un peu d'indulgence pour l'humidité. La plage était superbe, tout comme le spa. Ma femme a apprécié de découvrir que Shell avait été formé aux techniques de Shiatsu plutôt qu'aux faux services de Shiatsu proposés dans de nombreux complexes hôteliers. Le personnel était amical et serviable, ce qui a fait de cette visite un succès.

A nice relaxing break We returned to Breezes after many years and while it is showing a bit of age, the owners are keeping things running smoothly. The food was good, including the buffet. The portions were healthy so don't expect any 20oz steaks. However, the food was cooked properly and we felt satisfied after each meal. The rooms were basic but the bed was comfortable at that is the most important thing. Some people complained about dampness in the rooms but while there was some in wasn't any worse than the Riu in Jamaica or Aruba. Also considering the island had a full week of heavy rain from a hurricane just 3 weeks earlier, I can give them some leniency on dampness. The beach was great as was the spa. My wife enjoyed finding out that Shell was trained in proper Shiatsu techniques rather than the fake Shiatsu services at many resorts. The staff was friendly and helpfully, making the visit a success.

Memories Jibacoa: Décevant

Malheureusement, nous ne reviendrons pas au Memories Jibacoa. Il faisait très chaud et il n'y a pas assez de ventilateurs dans l'espace buffet. Il y a des ventilateurs dans l'espace buffet principal, mais pas dans l'espace buffet environnant. Les deux restaurants sont climatisés, mais nous n'avons pu y manger que deux fois en une semaine. La nourriture était moyenne, meilleure que le buffet, c'est sûr... Notre chambre était climatisée... Notre chambre était climatisée... Dieu merci, mais le dern [... lire plus]ier jour, elle semblait s'user. Il y avait un énorme afflux de mouches, elles étaient partout, extrêmement ennuyeuses et pouvaient représenter un risque potentiel pour la santé. Ils ont dit qu'ils pulvérisaient, mais en vain. Le bar du hall n'avait plus de verres presque tous les soirs (à l'heure du dîner). On utilisait des verres en plastique bon marché qui sont utilisés au bar de la piscine. Si vous serriez trop fort, votre boisson se déversait. La nourriture n'était pas appétissante. Le poisson et la viande étaient exposés à la chaleur. Il y avait de la glace, la plupart du temps, mais elle fondait très vite. Et les mouches étaient partout sur la nourriture,La bonne partie du buffet était l'omelette tous les matins et le bar à pâtes tous les soirs.Les 2 chefs ont fait un travail fabuleux, malgré la chaleur terrible. Le personnel est le meilleur et le seul commentaire positif que nous pouvons faire. Ils sont merveilleux. Ils travaillent extrêmement dur. Une serveuse a commencé à 6h30 et a travaillé jusqu'à 11h30 ! Elle a dit que ce n'était pas grave et que c'est ce qui se fait car ils changent d'équipe le lendemain. Je crois que Sunwing est en partie propriétaire de ce complexe et si c'est vrai, ils devraient être pris à partie de manière importante ! L'impression des clients est que la direction semble faire des économies de bouts de chandelle. Cela nous a été rapporté par des clients qui ont visité le resort dans le passé. Changements pour le pire. La piscine est propre et agréable mais il manque des carreaux. Si cela continue, elle ne sera plus aussi belle. La plage et le terrain sont magnifiques. Le terrain semble être bien entretenu. Certains clients arrivant pour le dîner n'avaient pas de place pour s'asseoir, il y a donc eu une bousculade pour assembler les tables. Apparemment, il y avait plus de tables chez les anciens propriétaires. Nous avons fait une excursion d'une journée à La Havane, ce qui a fait que le voyage en valait la peine. Nous ne recommanderons cet hôtel à personne.

Disappointing Unfortunately we will not return to Memories Jibacoa. There were many returnees there while we were there and they were disappointed as well.It was very hot and there are not enough fans in the buffet area There are fans in the main buffet area, but not in the surrounding buffet area. The 2 restaurants are air conditioned, but we were only able to eat there twice for a week's visit. Food was average, better than the buffet gor sure.Our room was air conditioned... Thank God, but on the last day it seemed to be wearing out. There was a huge influx of flies, they were everywhere, extremely annoying and could be a potential health risk. They said they were spraying, but to no avail. The lobby bar was out of glasses almost every night,( around dinner time). There were using cheap plastic glasses that are used at the pool bar.If you squeezed too hard, your drink spilt out. The food was not palatable. Fish and meat out in the heat. It was on ice, most of the time, but it melted very quickly. And the flies were all over the food.,The good part of the buffet was the omelet maker every am and the pasta bar every pm.The 2 chefs did a fabulous job, despite the awful heat. The staff are the best and the only positive comment we can make. They are wonderful. They work extremely hard. One waitress started at 6:30 am and worked until 1130 pm!! She said it was OK and that is what is done as they change shifts the next day. I do not know if this was her choice, but a very unsafe situation.I believe Sunwing is part owner of this resort and if true, they should be taken to task in a big way!! The impression among the guests is that mgmt appears to be cutting corners. This was relayed to us by guests who had visited the resort in the past. Changes for the worst. The pool is clean and nice but tiles are missing. If this continues it won't be so nice. The beach and grounds are lovely. The grounds appear to be well looked after. Some guests arriving for dinner had no place to sit, so there was a scramble to assemble tables. Apparently there were more tables with the previous owners. We had a trip to Havana for a day and that made the trip worthwhile. We will not recommend this resort to anyone.

Really Enjoyed Customer service was amazing. No issues. Everyone friendly. First resort I have been to where members of management asked on a continual basis if all was good. Great for snorkelling. Room in Sunclub A+

Memories Jibacoa: C'est un endroit très agréable.

Je n'ai pas été impressionné par le fait que personne n'ait porté nos bagages dans la chambre ou au moment du départ. Le personnel était très aimable et accommodant et les chambres étaient très belles. Il y avait un bon choix de nourriture au buffet.

It is a very nice place. I wasn't impressed that there was no one to take our bags to the room or when we checked out. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the rooms were very nice. There was a good selection of food at the buffet.

Memories Jibacoa: Cadre tropical

Situé entre la montagne et la mer, ce centre de villégiature est très différent des cayes extérieures et donne l'impression d'être dans un environnement tropical luxuriant. Tout est fait pour que vous passiez un agréable moment, il suffit de demander et ils essaieront de vous satisfaire. Il y a quelques inconvénients, le buffet est médiocre, mais les grillades sont bonnes. Tropical Setting Located between the mountain and the sea gives this resort a very lush tropical feel. It is very different than the outer cays.Every thing is done to make sure you have an enjoyable time, just ask and they will try to accomadate you.There are a few wrinkles, the buffet food is mediocre, but the grills are good. The beach is rocky so take beach shoes as this is a snorkellers paradise.No air in the dining area will bother some in 30 degree weather.Over all it is a lovely resort, with great staff.

Memories Jibacoa: Magnifique complexe hôtelier avec quelques améliorations possibles

L'hôtel est magnifique ! Très bien entretenu. Très bien aménagé (le bâtiment 7 était parfaitement situé au centre de l'hôtel). Jolies chambres. Personnel très aimable et serviable. La nourriture est très bonne. Les restaurants à la carte sont incroyables. Nourriture délicieuse ! La plage est belle mais il faut savoir qu'il y a un énorme récif juste au large. C'est parfait pour la plongée avec tuba et la plongée sous-marine, mais il est difficile de sortir de la plage. Et les gens qui marchent s [... lire plus]ur le récif le détruisent. Il est magnifique et devrait être protégé. Le Wifi n'est toujours pas disponible (mais il est en train d'être branché) et mon Roam like Home n'a pas fonctionné. Il faut utiliser les ordinateurs de l'hôtel. Ce n'est pas l'idéal. Mon plus gros reproche concerne les lits. Je les ai trouvés incroyablement durs. J'ai entendu dire que de nouveaux lits étaient en cours d'installation, mais cela ne m'a pas aidé. Je retournerais dans ce complexe sans hésiter. Mes quelques problèmes sont sur leur liste de choses à faire. Ce complexe pourrait facilement devenir un 5 étoiles avec quelques petits changements. Heureusement, les gens, l'emplacement et le paysage l'emportent largement sur les quelques problèmes.

Beautiful resort with some room for improvements The hotel is gorgeous! Very well maintained. Great layout (building 7 was in the perfect central location). Nice rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food is very good. A la cartel restaurants are amazing. Delicious food! The beach is nice but be aware there is a huge reef just off shore. Great for snorkelling/scuba but makes it hard to walk out. And people walking all over the reef is killing it. It's gorgeous and should be being protected. Wifi is still not available (but it's being hooked in now) and my Roam like Home didn't work there. You have to use the hotel computers. Not ideal. My biggest complaint was the beds. I found them unbelievably hard. I've heard they are getting new beds but that didn't help me. I would return to this resort in a heartbeat. My few issues are on their to do list. This resort could easily make itself a 5 star with a few small changes. Thankfully the people, location and scenery well outweigh the few issues.

Nous avons toutes les 7 passé un très bon moment au Memories Jibacoa resort. Nous venons de rentrer aujourd'hui. C'était notre première fois là-bas et nous pouvons toutes dire honnêtement que nous avons passé un bon moment en rencontrant le personnel qui a rendu notre séjour relaxant et agréable.

great resort and lovely people We all 7 of us ladies had a great time there at the Memories Jibacoa resort. Just got home today. It was our first time there and we all can honestly say we had a good time meeting the staff who make our stay relaxing and pleasant.

Les jardins étaient très bien entretenus, l'hôtel était propre, la nourriture était décente, le personnel - le plus étonnant et au-delà de l'excellent. Les installations de l'hôtel étaient excellentes. Mais c'est surtout le personnel, de la réception au service d'étage, en passant par les DJ, le coordinateur des événements de groupe, le personnel du bar, les serveurs du buffet, le jardinier, des gens tout simplement merveilleux, qui ont fait de ce séjour le meilleur de tous les temps

Breezes was a fantastic resort The gardens were very well kept, hotel was clean, food was decent, staff - most amazing and beyond excellent. Facilities were great in the hotel. Most of all it was the staff from reception, to room service, to DJs, to group event coordinator, bar staff, buffet servers, gardener - just totally wonderful people - made it the best holiday ever

Memories Jibacoa: Cinquième fois et toujours bon

Client régulier, cinq fois et ce n'est pas fini. La nouvelle direction cherche encore ses marques, mais si elle se détend et laisse le personnel cubain faire ce qu'il fait, l'hôtel restera excellent. Emplacement parfait. Ne changez pas !

Fifth time and still good Repeat customer, five times and counting. New management still finding it's feet but if they just relax and let the Cuban staff do what they do it will still be excellent. Location perfect. Don't change!

Hotel Los Cactus: Tous les besoins ont été satisfaits, c'est une très bonne station et elle est bien gérée

Station balnéaire de grande taille avec plusieurs endroits pour boire, manger et se divertir tous les soirs. 5 pesos pour un ascenseur jusqu'au centre-ville de Varadero et ses superbes zones commerçantes, ainsi que des clubs comme les " BEATLES ", avec d'incroyables groupes en soirée, reprenant les classiques du rock des 40 dernières années.

All needs met very good and well run resort Great size resort with several places to drink, eat and be entertained on a nightly basis. $ 5 pesos for a lift to downtown Varadero and great shopping areas and clubs like " BEATLES " with incredible live bands in the evening, covering rock classics from the last 40 years.

Breezes Bahamas: à l'arrêt !!!

Les chambres sont assez standard. J'avais une chambre avec vue sur le jardin, au rez-de-chaussée, et bien qu'elle permette d'accéder facilement à la piscine, la chambre elle-même aurait pu être plus agréable. La porte vitrée coulissante restait toujours coincée et le bruit de la pompe de la piscine était très fort pendant la nuit. Le personnel était excellent et très amical. L'emplacement des bars était pratique pendant la journée, mais lorsque certains fermaient vers 18h00, le seul ouvert était [... lire plus] à l'étage, donc si vous vouliez vous asseoir à l'extérieur et profiter du coucher de soleil, c'était un peu compliqué d'aller chercher des boissons. La nourriture était bonne et très variée. Dans l'ensemble, j'ai passé un bon moment, mais l'hôtel dégageait une odeur de moisi dans les chambres ainsi qu'au piano-bar. Je ne retournerais probablement pas dans ce centre de villégiature !

run down!!! The rooms were pretty standard. I had a garden view room on the ground floor and although it was easy access to the pool area, the room itself could have been nicer. The sliding glass door was always getting stuck and the sound of the pool pump was very loud through the night. The staff was excellent and very friendly. Bar locations were convenient during the day, but when some closed around 6pm, the only one open was upstairs so if you wanted to sit outside and enjoy the sunset, it was a bit of a hike to get drinks. Food was good and lots of variety. Overall had a good time but the hotel did have an odor resembling a moldy smell in the rooms as well as the piano bar. Would probably not go back to this resort!!
