Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: fabuleux centre de villégiature

Le terrain était magnifique et bien entretenu. La chambre était superbe, même si la salle de bains était petite et ne comportait qu'un seul lavabo. Le service était exemplaire. Restaurants excellents. j'ai été très déçu par les vacances d'air canada. nos sièges d'avion étaient dans des rangées différentes sur le chemin de toronto. pas d'instructions pour savoir où trouver la navette vers l'hôtel. j'ai attendu une heure avant qu'une navette n'arrive. j'ai dû appeler air canada pour réserver d [... lire plus]es sièges alors que nous étions à toronto pour la nuit. pas d'informations à cancun pour savoir où prendre l'autobus pour aller à l'hôtel. j'ai passé de nombreuses vacances avec westjet et transat où tout était pris en charge du départ à l'arrivée et au retour. je ne recommanderais pas cette compagnie.

fabulous resort Grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Room was great although the bathroom was small with only one sink. Service was exemplary. Restaurants excellent. was very disappointed with air canada vacations. our plane seats were in different rows on the way to toronto. no instructions as to where to find the shuttle to hotel. waited an hour before a shuttle came. had to call air canada to book seats back while we were in toronto overnight. no info at cancun where to catch bus to hotel. have been on many vacations with westjet and transat where everything was taken care of from the departure to arrival and back. would not recommend this company.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Immense centre de villégiature

Brenda, j'ai trouvé le complexe très grand (car j'ai un handicap), mais dans l'ensemble, c'était très agréable. Il y a eu quelques jours de problèmes, pas de climatisation pendant 2 jours et 1 jour sans électricité. Il devrait y avoir un générateur de secours, j'ai dû monter 4 étages à pied. La nourriture était bonne mais les restaurants étaient beaucoup trop chauds (plainte de la plupart). Très bons lits.

Huge resort I Brenda, found the resort to be very large(as I have a disability)but overall was very nice. Had a few days of mishaps, no AC for 2 days, and 1 day no hydro. There should be some generator backup, had to walk up 4 flights of stairs Food was good but restaurants where way to warm (complaint by most). Great beds.

Le complexe lui-même est magnifique, le personnel est très sympathique et arrangeant. Cependant, notre semaine ne s'est pas déroulée sans quelques problèmes. À notre arrivée, nous avons dû déménager dans une autre chambre où l'air fonctionnait et où il n'y avait qu'un seul lit au lieu de deux doubles. Nous avons pris possession de notre nouvelle chambre dans les 24 heures. Le deuxième problème, plus important, est que nous avons été privés d'électricité pendant trois jours. L'un de ces jours s'e [... lire plus]st avéré être un jour de pluie, ce qui nous a laissé des options d'activités très limitées, le personnel a mis en place des jeux dans le hall, etc. Le plus gros problème d'une panne d'électricité aussi longue est celui des toilettes et de la nourriture. Les toilettes ne fonctionnaient pas et commençaient à sentir mauvais, et la nourriture était très limitée. C'était notre deuxième séjour dans ce complexe et nous avons passé un excellent moment. Nous y retournerons, à condition que les problèmes d'électricité soient résolus.

Amazing resort with some hiccup's The resort itself is beautiful, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. However, our week didn't go without a few hiccup's. When we arrived we needed to move to a different room with working air and one bed instead of two doubles. We were in our new room within 24 hours. The second and bigger hiccup was that we were without power for three days. One of the days turned out to be a rain day so we were left very limited activity options, the staff set up games in the lobby etc.though. The biggest issue with no power for this long is washrooms and food. Washroom were not working and began to smell, and food was very limited. This was our second time to this resort and we had an amazing time and will go back again, as long as the power issues get sorted out.

Nous avons été très satisfaits de l'ensemble de l'expérience - terrains, buffet et service, ala cartes, activités et équipe d'animation, équipements, emplacement et plage plus propre que les propriétés situées de part et d'autre (Majestic et Riu).

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Un voyage extraordinaire dans son ensemble.

Cet endroit était immense, je n'ai pas tout vu, il faudra revenir. Le personnel est sympathique, serviable et traite son lieu de travail comme s'il s'agissait du sien. La nourriture est excellente, il n'y a pas de pénurie. Propreté jamais de désordre nulle part les zones publiques propres. Un peu de route depuis l'aéroport mais visite gratuite.

Amazing all round trip. This spot was huge haven't seen it all so will just have to return. Staff friendly helpful treat there work place as there own. Food great no shortage of anything. Clean never mess anywhere public areas clean. Bit of drive from airport but free tour.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Grand centre de villégiature !

Le complexe est très grand mais il y a des chariots qui vous emmènent partout, la plage et la piscine sont magnifiques. La nourriture était excellente. Les chambres sont définitivement vieilles et un peu usées, mais nous avons passé très peu de temps à l'intérieur des chambres et cela ne nous a pas affecté. J'aimerais beaucoup y retourner.

Great Resort! The resort was very big but has carts that take you around everywhere, beautiful beach and pool area. The food was great. The rooms are definitely old and a little worn down, but very little time was spent inside room so it didn't affect us. Would love to return.

Je viens de rentrer de l'hôtel Grand Bahia Principe Bavaro et j'ai passé un excellent séjour. Le site est à couper le souffle et les gens sont très accueillants. La plage était magnifique et la nourriture était excellente. Je recommanderais sans hésiter ce centre de villégiature.

Beautiful resort Recently returned from Grand Bahia Principe Bavaro resort and had an amazing time. The grounds were breath taking and the people were so friendly. The beach was beautiful and the food was great. I would definitely recommend this resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Voyage parfait

C'est notre 4ème fois au Bahia Sian Ka'an. Heureux de voir Carlos (barman), Rigo et Simone (personnel d'animation à la piscine). Piscines : nous préférons la piscine d'activités et avons apprécié les journées que nous y avons passées. Nourriture : il y a tellement d'options pour manger. Nous n'avons jamais eu faim et nous avons aimé tout ce que nous avons mangé. Chambre : moderne, propre et réfrigérateur réapprovisionné tous les jours. Perfect Trip This is our 4th time at Bahia Sian Ka'an. Happy to see Carlos (bartender), Rigo and Simone (activity staff at pool). Pools: we prefer the activity pool and enjoyed the days we spent there. Food: so many options to eat. We were never hungry and loved everything we had. Room: modern, clean and fridge restocked everyday. We spent a couple days at Akumal resort and by the ocean. This is also a beautiful resort. We will be retuning soon. Thank you!

Nous avons passé un séjour fantastique au Bahia Principe Sian Ka'an ! Le complexe, la nourriture et le service étaient incroyables. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié les divertissements et la tranquillité d'être un peu à l'écart du reste du complexe, tout en profitant de toutes les commodités. Nous serions ravis de revenir à tout moment !

Luxury relaxation! We enjoyed a fantastic time at Bahia Principe Sian Ka'an! The resort, food and service were amazing. We also thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment and the peace and quiet being a bit removed from the rest of the complex, while still enjoying all the amenities. We would love to come back anytime!

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Station balnéaire haut de gamme

Excellentes notes pour les chambres, les repas et l'atmosphère générale. Le personnel est très sympathique et arrangeant. Toutes les chambres donnent sur la mer et la vue est spectaculaire. La plage est médiocre, mais ce n'est pas un obstacle. L'aéroport de Samana (El Catey) a été un jeu d'enfant.

Top-end resort High marks for the rooms, meals and overall atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. All rooms overlook the Sea and the views are spectacular. Beach is so-so but not a deal breaker. Airport at Samana (El Catey) was a breeze.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Belle station, mais quelques problèmes

Le terrain était bien entretenu. Les deux criques les plus proches de l'hôtel offrent peu de plages et de zones de baignade. Celle qui se trouve plus loin (8 minutes de marche) dispose d'une plus grande plage et d'une zone de baignade. Si vous cherchez des vagues, ce n'est pas l'endroit. Le personnel était sympathique et les animations en soirée étaient correctes. Il n'y avait rien de très excitant. Mais ce n'est pas grave, car après une journée de soleil et de baignade, on est assez fatigué. I [... lire plus]l y a cependant un problème avec l'électricité. Il y a eu plusieurs coupures. Ensuite, il a été coupé pendant toute une journée. Ce n'était pas génial. Il n'y a souvent plus de gobelets au bar de la piscine. Apportez un bubba. Mes amis sont restés une semaine de plus et l'électricité a été coupée pendant 2 jours entiers. C'était seulement au resort, pas sur l'île. C'est la quatrième fois que j'utilise cette chaîne à différents endroits, et selon vos désirs, elle peut vous convenir. Trop grand pour moi cependant.

Beautiful resort, but some issues The grounds were nicely kept and well maintained. The 2 coves closer to hotel offer little beach area or swim area. The one further away (8 minute walk) had larger beach and swim area. If your looking for waves, this is not the place. Staff were friendly and evening entertainment was okay. Nothing to exciting going on. But that was okay, cause after a day of sun and swimming your pretty tired. There is an issue however with the power. Went out couple times. Then out for a full day. Was not great. Often run out of cups at swim up bar too. Bring a bubba. My friends stayed an extra week and power was out 2 full days. Was only the resort, not the island. This is my 4th time with this chain at different locations, and depending on your desires it may suit you. To large for me though.

Nous apprécions toujours la nourriture dans ce centre de villégiature. Les sushis étaient excellents, tout comme la sélection mexicaine. Les salades étaient fraîches et variées, et nous avons adoré les énormes crevettes et le saumon fumé. Le service au buffet était rapide et amical. Nous ne sommes pas allés dans les restaurants à la carte lors de ce voyage, car nous avons beaucoup apprécié le buffet. Les chambres étaient propres et, dans notre quartier, très calmes. Les animations en soiré [... lire plus]e étaient parfois excellentes, d'autres fois sans intérêt pour nous. Les trois ténors qui ont chanté un soir étaient remarquables. Visitez la piscine à débordement de la plage d'Akumal. Nous nous y sommes baignés le soir et avons observé un éclair spectaculaire dans un nuage lointain. Pour nous, le seul inconvénient de ce complexe est le bruit de l'air conditionné dans le bar du hall, qui rendait difficile une conversation tranquille. Nous sommes particulièrement sensibles à ce genre de bruit, ainsi qu'à la musique bruyante. Lorsque cela commence, nous passons à autre chose. Enfin, un autre avantage : vous ne serez pas importuné par des gens qui essaient de vous vendre une multipropriété. Dans l'ensemble, c'est un bon endroit pour bien manger et boire, danser, se promener, nager, se détendre.

Many good things We always enjoy the food at this resort. The sushi was excellent, as was the Mexican selection. The salads were fresh and varied, and we loved the huge prawns and smoked salmon. The service in the buffet was fast and friendly. We didn't go to any of the a la carte restaurants on this trip, as we were enjoying the buffet so much. The rooms were clean and, in our area, very quiet. The evening entertainment was sometimes excellent, other times not of interest to us. The three tenors who sang one evening were outstanding. Make a visit to the infinity pool at the Akumal beach. We had an evening swim there and watched a spectacular lightning storm in a distant cloud. For us, the only down side to this resort was the noise of the air conditioner in the lobby bar, which made it difficult to have a quiet conversation. We are particularly sensitive to this kind of noise, as well as to loud thumping music. When this starts, we move on. Finally, another plus: You won't be bothered by people trying to sell you a time-share. Overall, this is a good place to eat and drink well, dance, walk, swim, relax.

L'hôtel était au top de sa forme. La nourriture, le service et la propreté. C'est notre deuxième année d'affilée et l'hôtel nous a toujours impressionnés. On ne peut pas se tromper. Le personnel est au top. Il est serviable et amical.

Great Times The resort was on top of everything. Food ,service and cleanliness. It's our second year back to back and the resort still has impressed us. Can't go wrong. The staff are on top of it all. There helpful and friendly.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Un lieu de villégiature tranquille qui a beaucoup à offrir

Une propriété exceptionnellement bien entretenue avec un personnel extraordinaire et attentionné. Il y a de nombreux endroits isolés pour se prélasser au soleil ou pour se retrouver entre amis. Il y en a pour tous les goûts. Nous avons été impressionnés par le fait que les barmans mélangeaient les boissons derrière une porte fermée pour réduire le bruit afin que les autres clients qui se détendaient n'aient pas à entendre le bruit du mélangeur tout au long de la journée. Tranquil resort with a lot to offer An exceptionally, well-groomed property with amazing, thoughtful staff. There are many secluded places to bask in the sun or places to socialize. There is something for everyone. We were impressed by the bartenders blending drinks behind a closed door to reduce noise so other guests relaxing didn't have to hear the blender noise all day long. Food and service were on par with a Sandals or Couples resort. Will definitely return to this property

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Grandes vacances

Tout s'est bien passé, les chambres étaient propres, la climatisation fonctionnait bien, le service était excellent. Nous avons eu quelques problèmes avec les clés et le coffre-fort. La maintenance est venue rapidement et a réglé tous les problèmes. Plus tard, nous avons reçu un cadeau de remerciement pour le dérangement que nous avions subi. La nourriture était excellente partout où nous avons mangé. Le service était très lent au Garden Grill. Great Vacation Everything went well, rooms were clean, air conditioning worked well,service was excellent. Had a few problems with keys and the safe. Maintenance came quickly and fixed all concerns. Later received a thank you gift because of our inconvenience. Food was excellent everywhere we ate. Service was very slow at the Garden Grill. Pools and beach all wonderful. Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Belle escapade

Dans l'ensemble, l'hôtel était propre et bien entretenu - le terrain, les chambres, les parties communes. La plage était magnifique - beaucoup de récifs et de poissons à voir, le paradis des plongeurs avec tuba. Le personnel était aimable et efficace. La nourriture était bonne, il y avait toujours quelque chose à choisir. Nous avons essayé les restaurants gastronomique, italien et brésilien. Tous étaient très bons, le restaurant brésilien étant notre préféré.

Nice get away Overall, the hotel was clean and well kept - the grounds, the rooms, the public areas. The beach was gorgeous - many reefs and fish to see, snorkeler's paradise. The staff were all friendly and efficient. The food was good, always something to choose from. We tried the Gourmet, Italian and Brazilian restaurants. All were quite good, with the Brazilian being our favourite.

L'hôtel était magnifique avec des terrains bien entretenus. La nourriture était très bonne, avec un bon assortiment d'aliments. Le personnel était très agréable mais devrait parler un peu mieux l'anglais. Il était difficile de communiquer avec le personnel du restaurant. On nous avait dit que nous aurions une vue sur l'océan, mais ce n'était pas possible car un seul bâtiment avait cette vue et, bien sûr, il était déjà réservé. Cet hôtel a une heure de silence à 23h00, ce qui a été un choc pour [... lire plus] nous. Le fait d'être assis dans le hall d'entrée et que tout d'un coup les lumières s'éteignent était un peu dérangeant. Le bar ferme également à cette heure-là, et je sais que nous sommes des personnes âgées, mais en vacances, je ne suis pas prêt à me coucher si tôt. La navette qui vous emmène à votre chambre s'arrête également à 23h00, nous n'avons donc pas pu nous déplacer sous la pluie. Notre chambre donnait sur la piscine, ce que nous trouvions génial jusqu'à ce qu'on nous dise de ne pas trop rire car c'était "la piscine silencieuse" Je suis un buveur de Rye et il n'y en avait pas. On m'a dit de boire du scotch qui, je le regrette, n'a pas le même goût que le whisky. De plus, les deux derniers jours, il n'y avait plus de Vodka. Pas un touriste heureux !!! Je pense que notre agent de voyage aurait dû nous informer de la règle du coucher tôt.

The Hotel was beautiful with well manicured grounds. The food was very good and with a good assortment of foods. Also, the staff was very pleasant but needed to speak better English. Hard to communicate with restaurant staff. A few things I was not impressed with were:We were told we'd have an oceonfront view and this was not possible as only one building had this and of course it was already booked. This Hotel has quiet time at 11:00pm. which was a shock to us. Sitting in the lobby and all of a sudden the lights go out was a bit disturbing. The bar also closes at that time which I realize we are seniors but on vacation I am not ready for bed this early. The shuttle which takes you to your room also stops at 11:00pm. so we had no ride in the rain. Our room looked over the pool which we thought was great until we were told to keep the laughter down as it was "the quiet pool" I am a Rye drinker and they had none. I was told to drink Scotch which I'm sorry is not even close to the taste of Whiskey. Also, on the last two days they ran out of Vodka. Not a happy tourist!!! I believe our Travel Rep should have advised us of the early to bed rule.

Le terrain de l'hôtel est magnifique ainsi que la piscine et la plage ! Le service client était médiocre, nous avons eu beaucoup de problèmes à notre arrivée avec nos chambres et des choses qui ne fonctionnaient pas dans les chambres ! Ils n'ont pas voulu nous aider et nous ont dit qu'il n'y avait rien à faire. (toilettes qui ne fonctionnent pas, pas de lumière, portes qui ne ferment pas) Dans l'ensemble, ce fut un bon séjour dans ce complexe.

Good Resort The hotel grounds were beautiful as well as the pool & the beach! Customer Service was poor, we had a lot of issues when we arrived with our rooms and things not working in the rooms! They were unwilling to help us and said there was nothing that could be done. (toilettes not working, no lights, doors not closing) Overall, it was an okay stay at the resort.

Tout d'abord, permettez-moi de vous remercier pour les efforts que vous avez déployés lors de la réservation et pour vous être assuré que tout était en ordre avec nos billets, l'hôtel, le vol, etc. Excellent travail et Jessie Newbigging est l'une des raisons pour lesquelles nous aimons traiter avec Tripcentral et revenons continuellem [... lire plus]ent. Excellent service à la clientèle. Passons maintenant au voyage. Le vol aller et retour s'est très bien passé et nous avons voyagé dans un bel avion neuf d'Airtransat. L'horreur de l'enregistrement à l'hôtel - Les choses ont changé avec le Bahia Principe Ambar depuis l'introduction du Green and Blue, et pas pour le mieux. Nous étions 8, 4 sœurs et leurs maris. L'enregistrement s'est fait dans un seul hall pour les Green et Blue, car l'Ambar s'est agrandi et ils étaient certainement surbookés puisqu'ils nous ont demandé de nous asseoir et d'attendre. Nous sommes arrivés vers 17h30 et avons pris un verre de bienvenue au Coconut. Il n'y avait rien d'autre que de la bière et une boisson aux fruits à prendre en attendant l'enregistrement. J'aurais aimé un vrai cocktail pour commencer les vacances après le vol ou même de l'eau froide. La chambre de ma sœur aînée n'était pas prête - (elle avait réservé avec un autre agent de Tripcentral) et les autres chambres que nous avions étaient toutes dans des villas séparées. J'avais également envoyé un e-mail à l'hôtel à l'avance et leur avais donné nos informations d'arrivée afin qu'ils puissent se préparer et, bien sûr, ils ont reconnu qu'ils feraient de leur mieux. Bien sûr, nous avons tous attendu nos chambres ensemble et cela a duré environ deux heures, mais il n'y avait toujours pas de chambre pour ma sœur. De plus, en tant que clients réguliers, nous n'avons pas reçu le bracelet de couleur différente (il reconnaît simplement que vous êtes un client régulier et ils vous donnent normalement un cadeau). Nous sommes allés au buffet et quand nous sommes revenus, il n'y avait toujours pas de place pour ma sœur. Ils lui ont donné une chambre temporaire de son choix pour la nuit et nous ont dit de revenir à midi le lendemain pour les nouveaux bracelets et la clarification de la chambre. On nous a dit que les bracelets de couleur répétitive étaient en commande et qu'ils seraient livrés demain. (Le choix de la chambre était soit proche de nous sans téléphone, soit à l'autre bout du Resort et dans la section verte et non dans la section bleue comme demandé). Elle a choisi celle où il n'y avait pas de téléphone, bien sûr. J'ai commandé un ICE pour elle et moi depuis ma chambre (le groom l'a fait pour nous et je l'ai entendu répéter les deux numéros de chambre). J'ai appris le lendemain matin qu'elle avait attendu l'ICE pendant 1 heure et demie. Comme elle n'avait pas de téléphone, elle n'a pu appeler personne. Ma chambre était très bien - un grand lit au coin - au 1er étage comme je l'avais demandé. L'air conditionné était un peu faible, mais on dit que c'est le cas pour les chambres d'angle. J'ai eu de la chance lors de ce voyage. Ma sœur a obtenu une chambre avec deux lits doubles et une vue sur un trou de boue depuis son balcon. Une autre sœur a également obtenu deux lits doubles. En fait, j'étais la seule chambre King et j'ai réservé en dernier. Ils avaient également demandé des lits King. Nous sommes retournées dans le hall d'enregistrement à midi et on nous a assuré qu'un changement de chambre pour deux sœurs aurait lieu. On nous a conseillé d'aller dans le hall bleu pour obtenir les nouvelles chambres et on nous a dit qu'ils auraient l'information à 15 h. Mais on nous a dit que les bracelets ne sont donnés qu'aux clients qui reviennent après 11 visites. En fait, alors que nous attendions dans le hall, le représentant du Preferred Club est venu nous demander ce qui n'allait pas. Je l'ai informé et il m'a répondu qu'il n'avait jamais entendu parler de 11 fois. J'avais également envoyé un e-mail à l'hôtel pour l'informer de notre retour répété. À 15 heures, nous sommes allés dans le hall pour les chambres et le Blue Lobby (où le directeur général nous a dit d'aller). Nous avons découvert plus tard qu'il n'était pas du tout le directeur général - son nom ressemblait à "Joanne") nous a dit grossièrement d'aller dans le hall vert parce que ce n'était pas leur travail. Nous sommes allés au lobby vert et ils ont appelé le lobby bleu et se sont disputés avec lui, etc. Pour vous épargner les détails macabres, vers 17 heures, mes sœurs ont obtenu leur chambre grâce à l'aide de l'un des majordomes. L'enregistrement a donc pris une journée de nos vacances. Réapprovisionnement du réfrigérateur de la chambre - Ils annoncent que le réfrigérateur de la chambre est réapprovisionné tous les jours avec 3 petites bouteilles de liqueur, 2 bières, 2 chips, des boissons gazeuses et de l'eau. C'est un mythe et un rêve devenu réalité pour ceux qui l'obtiennent. Les petites bouteilles de liqueur n'ont pas été réapprovisionnées la plupart du temps et quand elles l'ont été, c'était 2. C'était pour nous tous, pas seulement pour une chambre et nous étions tous dans des villas différentes. Ma sœur n'a pas eu non plus de réapprovisionnement en bière en plus de la liqueur. J'ai appelé le room service un soir et ils ont apporté de la bière mais pas de bouteilles d'alcool. Ma sœur a trouvé des petites bouteilles d'alcool vides sur l'arrière de l'étagère supérieure de son placard lorsqu'elle est partie. Intéressant............................. Les restaurants à la carte et les buffets - Tous les restaurants ont été réservés à l'avance car je leur ai envoyé un e-mail pour les réserver. Ils étaient corrects et les horaires ont été ajustés à la disponibilité, mais c'est une évidence. Je n'ai eu aucun problème avec la nourriture et j'ai tout apprécié, mais 5 personnes de notre groupe ont eu des maux d'estomac et ont bien sûr dû rester très près des toilettes. 3 d'entre eux ont manqué des réservations pour le dîner à un moment ou à un autre de la semaine. Nous pensons que c'est la boisson à la noix de coco qui était en cause. La nourriture était excellemment présentée et le bœuf est bien meilleur que lors des visites précédentes. Le Chateaubriand était tout simplement délicieux. Les buffets étaient excellents pour le petit-déjeuner et le déjeuner, avec de nombreuses options. Plage et piscine - Il y avait beaucoup de monde et maintenant il y a une zone privilégiée pour les détenteurs de timeshare. Pour avoir une bonne place, il faut se lever à 5h45 pour la plage et à 6h30 pour la piscine. Même là, les gens mettent leur chaise longue devant vous s'ils le souhaitent. Ce n'est pas la faute de l'hôtel, mais d'un monde de gens irrespectueux. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons apprécié ces vacances, même si l'Ambar Blue a connu des problèmes qu'il n'avait jamais eus auparavant. Le temps n'était pas aussi chaud et ensoleillé que d'habitude cette fois-ci à Punta Cana, mais c'était la plage et non le bureau et le complexe était propre. Beaucoup d'améliorations sont nécessaires pour l'AMBER Blue mais le personnel qui vous assiste au jour le jour est merveilleux. Nous avons rencontré un vieil ami qui nous a servi chaque année au Bahia et qui a fait en sorte que notre petit déjeuner du matin soit extraordinaire chaque jour. Nous avons rencontré de nouveaux amis à lui, car la plupart du personnel a déménagé. Ce sont ces travailleurs qui font de ce complexe un endroit formidable. Dommage pour l'enregistrement, l'impolitesse de la direction à la réception et le directeur général en devenir, ils auraient tous besoin d'un cours sur le service à la clientèle. Ambar dispose d'un service de majordome mais malheureusement personne n'a pris le temps d'expliquer les options et comment elles pouvaient améliorer nos vacances. Comme indiqué précédemment, nous sommes allés à l'Ambar pour des vacances de 5 adultes dans le passé. C'est la première fois qu'il y a des problèmes, il se peut donc que ce ne soit qu'une fois. D'un autre côté, nous avons été si bien traités par le passé que nos attentes sont trop élevées aujourd'hui. Reviendrons-nous à l'Ambar - Oui

Still a great place but needs some Customer Service on the Management team. Thanks to our Tripcentral rep for reaching out to us after our trip to see how it went both in writing and for the personal phone call. First off – Let me thank you for your efforts in booking and ensuring all was in line with our tickets, hotel, flight etc. Great job and Jessie Newbigging your one of the reasons we love dealing with Tripcentral and continually come back. Great customer service. Now for the trip. Flight there and back was great and we flew in a nice new plane from Airtransat. The Hotel Check IN Horror – My how things have changed with the Bahia Principe Ambar now that Green and Blue have been introduced and not for the better. There was 8 of us, 4 sisters and their husbands. Check-in was in one lobby for the Green and Blue together as the Ambar has expanded and certainly they were overbooked as they asked us to have a seat and wait. We arrived around 5:30 or so and had a Coconut welcome drink. There was nothing else but Beer and a fruit drink to get while waiting to get checked in. Would have loved a real cocktail to start the vacation after the flight or even cold water. My older Sister’s room was not ready – (she booked with a different Tripcentral agent) and the other rooms we had were all in separate villas. I had also emailed the hotel in advance and given them our arrival information so they could prepare and of course they acknowledged they would do their best. Of course we all waited for our rooms together and it was a about two hours and still no room for my Sister. Also as repeat guests we did not get the different color bracelet (it just recognizes you as a repeat customer and they normally give you a gift). We went to the buffet and when we came back, they still had no room for my sister. They gave her a temporary room of her choice for the night and told us to come back at 12:00 noon the next day for new bracelets and the room clarification. We were told the repeat color Bracelets was on order and would be in tomorrow. (Room choice was either close to us with no phone or on the other end of the Resort and in the Green section not the Blue section as requested). She chose the one with no phone of course. I ordered ICE for her and myself from my room (the bellboy did it for us and I heard him repeat both room numbers) I got my ICE and she got nothing. Found out the next morning she waited for 1 ½ hours for ICE. As she had no phone she could not call anyone. My room was great – King bed on the corner – 1st floor like I asked for. Air conditioning a little week but corner units are rumored to be that way. I lucked out on this trip. My one Sister got a room with 2 double beds and a view of a mud hole from her balcony. Another Sister got 2 double beds also. In fact - I was the only King and I booked last. They also had requested King beds. We went back to the check-in Lobby at 12:00 noon and was assured Room change for 2 Sisters would occur. We were advised to go to the Blue Lobby to get the new rooms and they would have the information at 3:00 PM. but told the bracelets are only given to repeat guest after 11 visits. This was after we told them we have been there 5 times previously Just a little believable to me. In fact, as we were waiting in the lobby the Preferred club representative came and asked what was wrong. I informed him and he said the 11 times is news to him. I had also emailed the hotel informing them or our repeated return. At 3:00 PM we went to the lobby for the rooms and the Blue Lobby (where the General Manager told us to go. We found out later he was not the GM at all- his name sounded like “Joanne” ) told us rudely to go the Green Lobby as that is not their Job. We went to the Green Lobby and well they called and argued with the Blue Lobby etc. To spare the added grisly details around 5:00 PM, my sisters got their rooms through the help of one of the butlers. Wow – so really check-in took a day of our vacation. Room Fridge refill – They advertise the room fridge is restocked daily with 3 small oz liquor 2 beer / 2 chips / pop and water daily. That is a myth and a dream come true for those that do get it. The little liquor bottles where not replenished most of the time and when they were it was 2. This was for all of us not just one room and we were all in different villas. My sister also had no beer replenishment on top of the liquor. I did call room service one night and they brought beer but no liquor bottles. My sister found empty little liquor bottles on the back of the top shelf her closet when leaving. Interesting……. The Al A Carte and Buffets - All restaurants were booked in advance as I emailed them for reservations. They were correct and the timings were adjusted to availability but that’s a given. I had no issues with any of the food and enjoyed it all but 5 of our party got stomach upset and of course had to stay very very close to the bathroom. 3 of them missed dinner reservations as some point in the week. We think is was the coconut drink that was in question. The food was excellently presented and the beef is much better than the past visits. The Chateaubriand was simply delicious. The buffets were great for breakfast and lunch with lots of options. Beach and Pool – Was very crowed and now they have a Preferred area for the timeshare individuals. For a good spot you have to get up at 5:45 am for the beach – 6:30 for the pool. Even then, people will put their lounger in front of you if they choose. Not the Hotels fault, just a world of disrespectful people. Overall – We did enjoy this vacation time even though there were issues with the Ambar Blue that they never had before. The weather was not as hot and sunny as normal this time in Punta Cana but it was the beach not the office and the resort was clean. Lots of improvements are needed for the AMBER Blue but the staff that are assisting you day to day are wonderful. We ran into an old friend who has served us each year we have been at the Bahia and he made our morning breakfast amazing each day. We met new friends of his as most of the staff has moved on. It is these workers that make the resort a great place. Too bad about the Check In, the Rude management at the Desk and the want to be General Manager, they could all do with a course in customer service. Ambar does have a butler service but unfortunately no one took the time to explain the options and how they could make our vacation better. As indicated earlier we have been to the Ambar for 5 Adult vacation in the past. This is the first time any issues so it could be just a onetime thing. The other side is that we have been treated so wonderfully in the past and our expectaions are just to high now. Will we return to the Ambar – Yes
