Melia Las Dunas: De superbes vacances

L'hébergement était excellent, le personnel merveilleux et les plages à couper le souffle. La nourriture n'était pas des meilleures, mais il y avait une grande variété de sorte que vous n'aviez jamais faim. Les spectacles nocturnes étaient divertissants.

Great vacation Accommodations were excellent, staff were wonderful and the beaches were breath taking. Food was not the greatest but there was a large variety so you never were hungry. Nightly shows were entertaining.

Le hall et les parties communes sont bien entretenus. Le bar du hall est très divertissant le soir. C'est un endroit idéal pour boire un café de luxe. Les barmans et le personnel de service sont sympathiques. Les chambres sont moyennes et très propres. La plage est magnifique et permet de faire de longues promenades. Vous pouvez réserver 3 restaurants à la carte par séjour de 7 jours. Les restaurants étaient fantastiques et le buffet était excellent. Le personnel apprend à vous connaître en tant [... lire plus] qu'habitué. Il y a un côté adulte et un côté famille. Il n'est pas toujours garanti d'obtenir une chambre du côté adulte. Environ 1,5 heures de bus depuis l'aéroport, ce qui est agréable car vous traversez des zones résidentielles.

We love the Melia resorts...visited MLD twice!! Lobby and public areas are well kept. The lobby bar is great entertainment in the evenings. Great place to have fancy coffee drinks. Friendly bartenders and wait staff. Rooms are average and very clean. Beach is beautiful and goes on and on for long walks. You can book 3 a la carte restaurants per 7 day stay. Restaurants were fantastic and the buffet was great. Staff get to know you as a regular. There's an adult side and a family side. Not always guaranteed to get a room on the adult side. Approx 1.5 hr bus ride from airport which is enjoyable as you drive through the residential areas.

Melia Las Dunas: chambre superbe plage extraordinaire choix de bonne nourriture

c'était notre quatrième séjour à Cuba, dans un endroit différent à chaque fois, mais ce fut de loin la meilleure nourriture que nous ayons jamais connue dans ce pays extraordinaire, en fait meilleure que dans beaucoup d'autres pays où nous sommes allés. Nous reviendrons sans aucun doute à tout moment.

great room amazing beach choice of good food this was our 4th time in Cuba different place each time but this was by far the best food we have ever experienced in this amazing country, in fact better than many other countries we have been to. We would definitely return any time.

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Bon service

Un excellent endroit pour séjourner, un service clientèle amical, un environnement propre, pas la meilleure nourriture mais vous pouvez trouver quelque chose à manger. Une belle plage, des chambres propres et une station merveilleuse. Nous y retournerons si nous en avons l'occasion.

Good service A great place to stay, friendly customer service, clean environment, not the greatest food but you can find something to eat. Nice beach, clean rooms and wonderful resort. We will go there again if we have a chance.

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Superbe resort...plage fabuleuse

Les chambres étaient propres et spacieuses, le choix de nourriture était excellent, que ce soit au snack-bar, au restaurant buffet ou dans les restaurants individuels, et le service était attentif. L'hôtel comptait de nombreux bâtiments mais a conservé son service de petit hôtel.

Great resort...fanulous beach The rooms were clean and spacious, wonderful food choices both at the snack bars, buffet restaurants and the individual restaurants and attentive service. Resort had many buildings but retained its small resort service.

Memories Paraiso: Absolument magnifique

Mon mari et moi avons séjourné deux fois dans ce complexe. J'adore tout ce qui concerne cet endroit. La plage est de loin la plus belle que j'aie jamais vue, avec du sable et des eaux claires. La nourriture est bonne aussi et le terrain est magnifique. Le personnel est très sympathique, il se met en quatre pour faire n'importe quoi pour vous, cet endroit est parfait, nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour ici, nous y sommes allés deux fois à Noël l'année dernière et l'année d'avant et nous prévo [... lire plus]yons d'y retourner cette année 2014 pour Noël, j'adore cet endroit, nous n'avons rien de mauvais à dire à son sujet !!!!! J'adore tout ESP les chambres avec vue sur l'océan, c'est comme le paradis de se réveiller avec le son de l'océan.

Absolutely gorgeous My husband and I stayed at this resort twice I just love everything about this place ESP the beach it is by far the most beautiful beach that I have ever seen sandy and nice clear waters. The food is good too and the grounds are beautiful. The staff are very friendly they will go out of their way to do anything for you this place is paridice we had a wonderful stay here we went both times at Christmas last year and the year before that and we plan on going again this year 2014 for Christmas I just love this resort we don't have anything bad to say about it!!!!! Love everything ESP the ocean view rooms it feels like heaven waking up to the sound of the ocean.

Ils regardaient dans votre direction puis s'éloignaient - ce qui ne nous a pas impressionnés ! honnêtement, nous ne retournerons pas dans ce complexe

OK vacation Grounds were beautiful! Rooms were adequate -- served the purpose. bed was decent and AC worked which was a bonus. Beach was gorgeous!! A la carte restaurants were good as well -- buffet was to be expected did not really like that the pool bar was in the shade for the majority of the day -- not able to get much sun sitting at the bar. some of the bar tenders were rude, would not get you the drink you asked for -- also always had to wait long to even get served! they would look in you direction and then walk away -- was definitely not impressed with this! honestly we would not go back to this resort

Resonance Blu Santa Maria: La plage est la meilleure, l'hôtel est correct

L'enregistrement s'est déroulé sans problème mais nous avons été placés dans une chambre située dans une partie de l'hôtel qui était fermée. La chambre n'avait pas été utilisée depuis longtemps et n'avait pas été rafraîchie. Elle sentait mauvais et le sol était sale. La salle de bains n'était pas très propre et il y avait des cendres de cigarettes sur le sol. Nous avons demandé à être changés immédiatement, mais on nous a dit que le complexe était complet et que nous ne pourrions obtenir une aut [... lire plus]re chambre que le lendemain. Nous avons donc dû passer la nuit dans cette chambre, ce qui était un peu dégoûtant. Ils auraient dû envoyer une femme de ménage pour nettoyer. Cependant, le jour suivant, nous avons pu changer de section de l'hôtel, ce qui était très bien. La nourriture était correcte, comme d'habitude à Cuba. Nous avons toujours réussi à trouver quelque chose qui nous plaisait. Une chose que j'ai vraiment appréciée dans cet hôtel, c'est qu'il y avait des animations dans le hall tous les soirs. Je ne suis pas fan des grands spectacles de type amphithéâtre imitant Micheal Jackson et j'ai donc apprécié l'alternative proposée ici. De plus, la piscine et l'accès à la plage étaient ouverts dans la section fermée, mais très peu de gens l'utilisaient, de sorte que nous avions beaucoup de chaises, un bar de piscine et une plage presque pour nous seuls. J'ai été à Cuba plus de dix fois et c'était ma quatrième fois à Cayo Santa Maria, je peux donc comparer et bien que la plage soit fabuleuse à ce centre de villégiature, ce n'est pas le meilleur hôtel. Mais encore une fois, c'était le moins cher que nous ayons payé, alors nous ne pouvons pas nous plaindre. On en a pour son argent et cet hôtel est moins cher que les meilleurs.

The beach is the best, the hotel is ok Check-in went smoothly but we were put in a room that was in a section of the hotel that was closed. The room had not been used in a while and it had not been freshened up. It smelled bad and the floor was dirty. The bathroom was not very clean and there was cigarette ash on the floor. We asked to be changed immediately but we were told the resort was fully booked and we could only get another room the following day. So we had to stay in that room overnight which was a bit gross. They should have sent a maid to clean. However, the following day, we got to change to another section of the hotel which was fine. The food was ok, as usual in Cuba. We always managed to find something we liked. One thing I really appreciated at this hotel was that they had entertainment in the lobby every night. I'm not a fan of the big Micheal Jackson impersonating amphitheater style shows so I appreciated the alternative offered here. Also, the pool and beach access were open in the closed section but very few people were using it so we had plenty of chairs, a pool bar and a beach almost to ourselves. I've been to Cuba over ten times and this was my fourth time in Cayo Santa Maria so I can compare and although the beach is fabulous at this resort, it's not the best hotel. But then again, this was the least amount of money we had paid so, we can't complain. You get what you pay for and this hotel is cheaper than the better ones.

Memories Paraiso: Grand centre de villégiature Grande plage

Hôtel un peu vieillot mais comparable à d'autres 4 étoiles à Cuba. La plage est superbe ! L'hôtel est grand mais il y a beaucoup de navettes si vous ne pouvez pas ou ne voulez pas marcher. Les animations nocturnes dans le hall et à l'extérieur sont très bonnes ! J'ai été à Cuba 14 fois, j'ai séjourné dans des endroits différents, mais j'ai passé un bon moment ici.

Big Resort Great Beach Hotel a little dated but par to other 4 star places in Cuba. Beach great! Resort big but lots of shuttles if you can't or don't want to walk. Nightly enterniment in lobby and out side very good! Have been to Cuba 14 times stayed at different places , had a good time here.

Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Merveilleux complexe hôtelier plus calme

Il n'est pas aussi grand que certains autres complexes hôteliers de Santa Maria, mais les installations sont merveilleusement propres et le service du personnel est excellent. C'est certainement un endroit où je reviendrai. J'ai voyagé seule et je me suis sentie en sécurité.

Wonderful quieter resort Not as large as some of the other resorts on Santa Maria but the facilities were wonderfully clean and the service of the staff was excellent. It is certainly a place I shall be returning to. I travelled alone and felt really safe.

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Un lieu de vacances incroyable !

Nous n'avons vraiment pas pu trouver une seule chose à redire. Nous avons séjourné sur la même plage trois fois au cours des quatre dernières années, souvent en payant plus cher et en n'étant pas aussi heureux. Je recommanderais ce complexe à n'importe qui !

Incredible Place to Vacation! My husband and I stayed for a week at this resort last February and it was amazing. The food, the beach, the service, the rooms, everything. We seriously could not find one thing to complain about. We have stayed on the same beach 3 times in the last 4 years, often paying more money and not being as happy. I would recommend this resort to anyne!

Melia Buenavista: Excellente expérience !

Ce centre de villégiature est fantastique ! Le personnel a fait la différence ! C'est un petit complexe intime. C'était vraiment des vacances où nous nous sommes complètement détendus. Le terrain est magnifique, la nourriture est fantastique et le personnel est extraordinaire ! Ils s'occupent vraiment de vous et font en sorte que vous vous sentiez spéciaux. Great Experience! This resort is fantastic! The staff definitely made the difference! It is a small intimate resort. This was definitely a vacation where we completely relaxed. The grounds are beautiful, the food is fantastic and the staff is amazing! They really cater to you and make you feel special. Very friendly, accommodating, and they go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. My husband and I have been here, and then sent our parents there.... they also had an amazing time and plan to go back! If you are looking for a truly relaxing experience, this is the place!

Sol Cayo Santa Maria: Station balnéaire déplorable

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Bien mieux que Varadero

Notre premier voyage à Cuba a été extraordinaire, mais j'ai trouvé à Varadero des choses qui ne m'ont pas emballé. La région de Santana Maria est magnifique ! Les gens sont très amicaux et ne cherchent pas toujours à obtenir quelque chose de vous (ce n'est arrivé qu'une fois et j'ai dit non et c'est tout) J'étais impatient d'aller pêcher dans la région et je n'ai pas été déçu (enfin, il y a eu le trajet en taxi jusqu'au pont qui s'est transformé en aventure....mais c'est une autre histoire) Si v [... lire plus]ous apportez votre propre matériel, sortez avec les gars du boulot, c'est-à-dire les gars du chat (c'est un grand secret.......not) Je suis sorti deux fois pour 20 pesos chacun et j'ai attrapé un barracuda et un assez gros vivaneau. J'ai donné mon poisson à mon chauffeur cette fois-ci et il était très excité par le vivaneau. Nous avons trouvé la disposition des chambres un peu bizarre, mais qui s'en soucie... La chambre est un endroit où l'on peut dormir, c'est tout... L'agencement de la station est génial ! La seule difficulté est d'obtenir de l'argent. La banque n'est ouverte qu'un certain temps et il y a parfois la queue. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons trouvé que cet endroit surpassait Varadero et j'y retournerais sans hésiter ! Un grand merci à notre concierge de Trip Central pour toute son aide dans l'organisation des sorties et pour avoir répondu à toutes nos questions. .

Way better than varadero Our first trip to Cuba was amazing..but I found some things in varadero I wasn't all that excited about. Santana Maria area is beautiful! The people are very friendly and not always looking for something from you (it only happened once and I said no and that was that) I was excited to go fishing in the area and was not disappointed.. (well there was the cab ride to the bridge wich turned into an adventure....but that is another story) If you bring your own stuff, go out with the job ie cat guys (it's a big secret.......not) I went out twice for 20 pesos each and caught barracuda and a rather large snapper. I gave my fish to my driver this time and he was very excited about the snapper. We thought the rooms were laid out a little funny, but who cares..The room is some place to sleep that's it... The lay out of the resort is great! The only pain in the butt is getting money. The bank is only open so long and some times there is quite the line up. Overall we thought that this way out did varadero and I would go back to this resort in a heartbeat! A big thank you to our trip central concierge for all his help setting up outings and answering all our questions. .

Memories Paraiso: Belle plage !

Superbe centre de vacances ! Le personnel est sympathique. Propre et la plus belle plage ! Je l'ai recommandé à une amie qui l'a adoré tout autant que moi ! Ma fille et moi prévoyons de retourner dans cette station à un moment donné parce que c'était tellement amusant !

Resonance Blu Santa Maria: Beaucoup de plaisir à Husa

Mon mari et moi nous sommes rendus à Husa en mars, avec 12 autres personnes, pour un mariage. Nous étions déjà allés à Cuba, mais nous n'avions jamais visité Cayo Santa Maria. Je ne saurais trop insister sur la beauté de la plage et de l'océan. L'eau est turquoise, le sable est blanc et on a l'impression de marcher dans la farine. L'océan est peu profond, on peut marcher sur une bonne distance avant d'arriver au niveau des épaules. Même au niveau des épaules, on peut encore voir ses pieds ! Le [... lire plus] domaine de l'hôtel est magnifique et très bien entretenu. Il y a beaucoup de feuillage, de jardins et de fleurs. La chambre était agréable, tout comme les bâtiments et les restaurants. Cependant, l'ensemble du complexe aurait besoin d'un peu d'entretien. Il y avait des étangs et des fontaines sans eau, certains endroits auraient pu être repeints et la promenade menant à la plage du côté de la plage avait besoin de quelques réparations. Rien de tout cela n'a affecté notre séjour. La nourriture était adéquate. Un plus grand choix aurait été bienvenu. Le buffet était assez grand, ce qui donnait l'impression qu'il y avait beaucoup de choix, mais il s'agissait en fait des mêmes 6 à 8 plats répétés. Pour les plats fraîchement préparés, les files d'attente étaient longues, parfois jusqu'à une heure avant d'arriver à l'avant pour commander votre plat. Les plats à la carte étaient délicieux. Le personnel était formidable. Je n'ai jamais eu de problème avec aucun d'entre eux. C'est génial de parler avec eux, le service est rapide et amical. Nos préférés étaient Rafael au bar de la piscine et Aing (sp ?) au bar de la plage. Attention aux photos d'ours polaires, hahaha ! Mon mari et moi aimons essayer de faire quelques excursions d'une journée lorsque nous partons. Comme Cayo Santa Maria est une île située à environ 40 minutes du continent, il n'y a pas beaucoup de choix d'excursions. Ce n'est pas un problème avec Husa seulement, mais avec tous les hôtels de l'île. Nous avons cependant fait l'expérience du catamaran avec les dauphins et c'était génial ! Je le recommande vivement. Cela en vaut vraiment la peine, et c'est à 10 minutes de l'hôtel. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons adoré le complexe et nous y reviendrons certainement. L'expérience seule m'aurait valu une note de 5*, mais en raison de la nourriture et d'un peu d'entretien à faire, je pense qu'une note de 4* est un peu plus juste.

Lots of Fun at Husa My husband and I travelled to Husa in March, along with 12 others, for a wedding. While we had been to Cuba before, we had never been to Cayo Santa Maria. I can not say enough about how stunning the beach and ocean is here. The water was turquoise, the sand was white and felt like walking through flour. The ocean is shallow, you can walk out a fair distance before it gets shoulder level. Even at shoulder level you can still clearly see your feet!! The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and very well kept. Lots of foliage, gardens, and flowers. The room was nice, as were all the buildings and restaurants. However, the entire resort could use a bit of maintenance. There were some ponds and fountains without water, some areas that could have handled some new paint, and the boardwalk to the beach on the Beach Side needed some repairs. None of this affected our stay though. The food was adequate. More selection would have been great. The buffet was quite large, giving the appearance of lots to choose from, but really was just the same 6-8 items repeated. The fresh prepared food had long lines, sometimes up to an hour before you got to the front to order your food. The a la cartes were delicious. The staff was great. Never had a problem with any of them. Awesome to talk to, fast service, friendly. Our favourites were Rafael at the pool bar and Aing (sp?) at the beach bar. Watch out for the polar bear shots, hahaha! My husband and I like to try and do a couple day trips when we go. Since Cayo Santa Maria is an island about 40mins away from the mainland there isn't a whole lot of excursion selection. This isnt a problem with just Husa, but all the hotels on the island. We did however do the catamaran with dolphin experience and it was awesome! I would totally rcommend it. Definitely well worth the money, and close as it all takes place 10mins from the resort. Overall, we loved the resort, and would definitely return. Experience alone I would have given a 5* rating, however due to the food and a little bit of upkeep to be done I believe a 4* is a bit more accurate.

Très beau et grand complexe. La plage est absolument magnifique. Les chambres sont assez récentes et propres. Ce complexe dispose d'un grand nombre de restaurants à la carte. Je recommande les restaurants italien et méditerranéen. Le seul inconvénient est la distance de l'aéroport (90 minutes).

Great Resort! Very beautiful large resort. The beach is absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are fairly new and clean. This resort has a large number of a la carte restaurants. I recommend the Italian and Mediterranean. Only draw back is the distance from the airport (90 minutes).

Melia Las Dunas: Excellent centre de villégiature !

Dans l'ensemble, le complexe était extraordinaire. Il y avait quelques défauts, comme le fait que le complexe était si grand que nous n'en avons jamais vu la moitié. Mon conseil pour le premier jour : prenez une carte et explorez - profitez de tout ce que la station a à offrir ! Les animations sont excellentes et la plage est magnifique !

Great resort! Overall the resort was amazing. There were some faults - like the resort was so large we never saw half of it. My advise for the first day: get a map and explore - take advantage of everything the resort has to offer! Great entertainment and the beach was beautiful!

Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Horrible - surclassé car cet hôtel est tellement délabré.

Nous étions très enthousiastes à l'idée de partir en vacances, mais tout s'est arrêté lorsque nous sommes arrivés dans ce centre de villégiature. Ma famille s'y rendait chaque année depuis plusieurs années et l'adorait. J'avais déjà séjourné à Las Dunas que je recommanderais plutôt que cet endroit. Nous avons été surclassés dans un autre complexe après avoir signalé les chambres délabrées, la salle à manger insalubre et le manque d'entretien général. Il y a beaucoup de frais pour l'alcool qui n' [... lire plus]est pas leur base comme le Corona, d'autres stations incluent ces frais, c'est censé être "all inclusive". Je suggérerais de séjourner ailleurs, à moins qu'ils n'aient amélioré le centre de villégiature.

Horrible - upgraded as this hotel is so run down. We were so excited for our vacation and that all ended when we arrived at this resort. My family had visited this resort every year for several years and use to love it. I has previously stayed at Las Dunas which I would suggest over this place. We were upgraded to another resort after pointing out the very obvious run down rooms, philthy dining room and lack of general maintenance. Lots of fees for alcohol that isn't their basics such as Corona, other resorts include these it is suppose to be "all inclusive". I would suggest staying some where else unless they have upgraded the resort.

Memories Paraiso: Très belle station

Je suis allée au Memories Paraiso Beach Resort au début du mois de février 2014. J'ai passé un très bon moment. La nourriture était décente, il y avait beaucoup de choix et les options changeaient tous les jours. Je me suis contenté du buffet car les cartes se remplissaient trop vite avant que je puisse réserver. Ce n'était pas un problème, car il y avait des nouveautés au buffet. Il y avait du homard un soir, des pâtes le lendemain, des grillades variées aussi. Les chambres étaient très propres [... lire plus], le personnel très aimable et serviable. Le complexe est cependant ENORME. Nous avons dû marcher beaucoup pour aller de notre chambre au restaurant ou au hall. Il y a des voiturettes de golf qui vont d'un endroit à l'autre pour les clients et qui sont conduites par le personnel. Il y a un petit village où l'on peut se rendre à pied et qui vend des porte-clés, des bijoux et des objets d'art, très loin, mais là encore, il y a des voiturettes de golf. Une chose à laquelle j'aurais aimé penser et à laquelle tout le monde a apparemment pensé en premier est d'apporter une bouteille d'eau réutilisable ou un thermos. Les boissons servies au bar, qu'il s'agisse d'un coca ou d'une piña colada, sont présentées dans de minuscules gobelets en plastique. Les autres clients remplissaient sans problème leurs grands gobelets réutilisables avec ce qu'ils buvaient. Moins de déchets et plus de boissons... J'étais jalouse d'eux ! Il faut aussi apporter un morceau de tissu coloré ou une fleur en plastique que l'on attache aux chaises de plage tôt le matin (vers 6 heures) pour avoir droit aux chaises de plage. Bonne chance pour trouver une chaise de plage avec un parasol à partir de 8 heures du matin, elles étaient toutes prises ! Dans l'ensemble, c'était un endroit vraiment génial. J'y retournerai sans hésiter.

Vere nice resort I went to the Memories Paraiso Beach Resort at the beginning of February 2014. I had a very good time. The food was decent, there was a lot of selection and the options changed every day. I stuck to just the buffet because the à la cartes filled up too quickly before I had a chance to reserve. Wasn't a problem, though, because there were new things at the buffet. There was lobster one night, pasta the next, mixed grill options too. The rooms were very clean, the staff very friendly and helpful. The resort is HUGE though. We did a ton of walking just to get from our room to the restaurant or lobby. They have golf carts that are always driving from one place to the next for the guests to use that are driven by the staff. There is a small village -like place you can walk to that sells key chains and jewelry and art, very far to walk, but again, there are the golf cart. Something that I wish I had thought of that apparently everyone else had thought of first was to bring a reusable water bottle or drink thermos. The drinks they give you at the bar, whether it is a coke or a piña colada, were given to you in these tiny little plastic cups. Other guests would have their big reusable cups filled with whatever they were drinking with no problem. Less garbage and more drink... I was jealous of them! Something else too was to bring something like a piece of colored cloth or a plastic flower to tie onto your beach chairs early in the morning (like 6am-ish) to call dibs on the beach chairs. Good luck finding a beach chair with a parasol anytime after 8am, they were all taken! All in all, this was a really great place. I'd definitely go again.
