Bonjour, - Personnel : très sympathique et gentil, mais en général "à l'heure de l'île", parfois pas de suivi des demandes - Repas et nourriture : dans l'ensemble très moyen pour les forfaits principaux avec des choix limités, parfois un peu en dessous de la moyenne (médiocre). Overall review Hi, - Staff: very friendly and nice, but generally speaking on "island time", sometimes no follow-ups on requests - Meals & food: overall very average for main packages with limited choices, sometimes a little sub-part (poor). Preferred club had better quality food, but only near the preferred reception, far from the beach. - Beach: excellent water, really appealing. Much better than Punta Cana. Grand Bavaro Princess: Incroyable !

Je n'ai rien à redire sur ce complexe, la nourriture était excellente, les gens étaient formidables, la plage était magnifique et les boissons étaient excellentes. Ma seule recommandation est que la piscine Platinum devrait être réservée aux 16 ans et plus. La piscine Platinum n'a pas de bas-fonds et les petits enfants s'y trouvaient avec des ailes d'eau, les autres piscines et le parc aquatique conviendraient mieux aux enfants que la piscine Platinum. Amazing!! No complaints on this resort, food was great, people were great, beach is amazing and drinks were great. My only recommendation is the Platinum should be 16+, the Platinum pool has no shallow end and little kids were in there with water wings, other pools and the water park would be better suited for the Children then the Platinum pool. It is a bigger resort but we never waited more than 5 minutes for a train.

Amazing resort This newly renovated resort is one that you do not want to miss out on. Paying the extra for a Platinum room was well worth the cost. The beach, ocean and pools were perfect and the food was particularly good

Occidental Caribe: Un grand hôtel de caractère

Le terrain et l'accès à l'océan, y compris la vue, sont absolument magnifiques. La plage est d'un blanc étincelant, sans le moindre soupçon d'algues ou de débris. L'Occidental Caribe est un établissement plus ancien, bien entretenu et qui a la saveur de la République dominicaine. Il y a quelques autres belles stations balnéaires plus récentes, mais l'Occidental Caribe a la beauté et le caractère d'un vieux travail. Nous avons apprécié de l'utiliser tôt le matin et tard le soir. Il s'agit d'un complexe familial qui accueille tout le monde, des plus jeunes aux plus âgés, avec une grande variété de choses à faire. Il y a 5 grands restaurants à la carte, nous les avons tous essayés et la nourriture était excellente. C'est un endroit où nous retournerions volontiers.

A great hotel with character The grounds and access to the ocean, including views was absolutely stunning. The beach is a shimmering white, not even a hint of seaweed or debris anywhere. The Occidental Caribe is an older facility which is well maintained and has a flavour of the Dominican. There are s me other beautiful newer resorts but the Caribe has old work beauty & character. The staff are very friendly, always willing to help and always smiling. Our 4th floor ocean view room had a balcony that provided us with majestic views of the ocean and pools. We enjoyed using it early morning and late evening. It is a family resort that accommodates everyone from young to more senior with a wide variety of things to do. There are 5 great a la carte restaurants, we tried them all and the food was great. It is a location we would go back to again.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Grand centre de villégiature

Tout dans ce centre de villégiature est formidable. Il est suffisamment grand pour qu'il y ait beaucoup de choses à faire, mais suffisamment petit pour que tout soit proche les uns des autres. La nourriture était spectaculaire. Le service était excellent. Le seul "mauvais" point, si l'on peut dire, est qu'il n'y avait pas de bar dans la piscine. Je recommanderais sans hésiter ce centre de villégiature.

Great Resort Everything about this resort is great. It is large enough that there is plenty to do, but small enough that everything is close together. Food was spectacular. Service was great. The only "bad" thing if you can call it bad is that there was no in pool bar. Would definetly recommend this resort.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Décevant

Les chambres sont vieilles et le service est en dessous de la moyenne. Tous les jours, j'ai dû appeler après que la chambre ait été nettoyée parce que le personnel avait oublié de laisser des choses comme des serviettes, du savon, du shampoing, de réapprovisionner le mini bar. Je ne vois pas d'inconvénient à ce que des choses soient oubliées un ou deux jours, mais tous les jours pendant sept jours, c'était un peu trop

Disappointing The rooms are old and the service was below par. Everyday had to call after room was cleaned because the staff forgot to leave things like towels,soap,shampoo, restock mini bar. I don’t mind things being overlooked one or two days but everyday for seven days was a bit much

Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort: Pas assez de chaises longues

L'hôtel était tout neuf, il était magnifique. L'emplacement est idéal, la plage est magnifique. Ils doivent encore régler les problèmes. En tant que Canadien en vacances, nous nous attendons à ce que les gens se comportent de manière polie. La majorité de la clientèle de ce complexe est impolie et insistante et n'a aucun problème à jeter vos affaires sur votre chaise longue et à la prendre. Ils font la queue au bar et au buffet. J'ai vu un homme énorme menacer une vieille dame et se faire récompenser par la direction en obtenant une place de choix et quatre chaises. Quand vous payez pour un complexe cinq étoiles et que vous devez vous battre pour des chaises, c'est inacceptable.

Not Enough Lounge Chairs The hotel was brand new, it was beautiful. The location is great, the beach is amazing. They still have to work out the kinks. Being a Canadian on vacation we expect people to behave in a polite manner. The majority of the clientele at this resort is rude and pushy and have no problem dumping your belongings of your lounge chair and taking it. They bud in line at the bar and the buffet. This resort does not have nearly enough chairs. If you can get one by 7am you’re lucky. Chances are it’s going to be gone after breakfast. I witnessed a huge man threaten an old lady and then get rewarded by the management with prime spot and four chairs. When you pay for a five star resort and have to fight over chairs it’s not acceptable.

great value for money-beautiful resort food was great, entertainment excellent everything met all our expectations.Were not aware of the new building with 3 restaurants from last year which is a super addition! Nice job on super bowl party!!

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Un endroit très agréable

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Le personnel était très sympathique, la nourriture était toujours bonne avec un choix décent au buffet pour chaque repas. Les divertissements nocturnes n'ont jamais déçu. Le terrain et les équipements de l'hôtel étaient toujours très propres. Le bar de baignade était un endroit idéal pour socialiser tandis que la piscine à oxygène était un endroit idéal pour se détendre. La plage est très agréable, mais il était très difficile d'obtenir des chaises, même à 8 [... lire plus] heures du matin. Dans l'ensemble, une excellente expérience.

Really nice place We had a great trip. The staff was very friendly, the food was consistently good with a decent selection at the buffet for each meal. The nightly entertainment never disappointed. The hotel grounds and amenities were always kept very clean. The swim up bar was a great place to socialize while the oxygen pool was a great place to chill out. Really nice beach although it was very difficult to get chairs - even as early as 8am. Overall, a great experience.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à l'hôtel Hilton La Romana, en République dominicaine. Le personnel était formidable, il parlait espagnol et anglais, la nourriture était très bonne, l'hôtel était très propre et la piscine magnifique. Le temps était chaud et magnifique 27-30 C tous les jours.nous ne pouvions pas demander un meilleur lieu de vacances.

Amazing resort We had a wonderful time at the Hilton la Romana. Dominican.The staff were great, They spoke Spanish and English.The food was very good ,the hotel was very clean and a beautiful pool. The weather was hot and beautiful 27-30 C every day.We couldn't ask for a better vacation spot.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Grand centre de villégiature

L'enregistrement s'est très bien passé. Pas d'exagération par rapport aux photos en ligne. La plage était magnifique. Il aurait été bon d'avoir des serveurs de bar plus dynamiques. A dû aller à un arrêt de navette pour se rendre à la plage. Si votre clé cesse continuellement de fonctionner, c'est à cause de la batterie dans la serrure. Dans l'ensemble, c'était très bien.

Large resort Check in great. No exaggeration of online pictures. Beach was beautiful. More up beat bar tenders would have been nice. Had to go to a shuttle stops to get to the beach. If your key continuously stops working it’s because of the battery in the lock. Over all it was great.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Fantastique...

Ce centre de villégiature est hautement recommandé. Il y a tout ce qu'on peut désirer : chambres, service, nourriture, plage, piscines.... Vous pouvez vous cacher sur la plage ou faire la fête à la piscine. Idéal pour les couples et les célibataires. Vous n'en reviendrez pas.

Fantastic... Highly recommend this resort. Has everything you could want; great rooms, service, food, beach, pools... You can hide away on the beach, or party at the pool. Great for couples and singles. It will leave you breathless.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Très bonne station.

Nous avons passé 7 nuits extraordinaires au Bahia Principe Aquamarine à Punta Cana. Un vrai complexe 5 étoiles, avec une très bonne cuisine et un personnel très sympathique. Nous avons essayé 4 restaurants à la carte, le buffet était excellent avec beaucoup de choix de nourriture. La plage et la piscine étaient excellentes. Nous y retournerons certainement. Nous recommandons cet hôtel à tous ceux qui recherchent un véritable hôtel 5 étoiles.

Very good resort. Amazing 7 nights we spent at Bahia Principe Aquamarine- punta Cana. A real 5 stars resort, very good foods and dining, friendly staff. We tried 4 a la carte restaurants, the buffet was excellent with many food choices. Beach and pool were excellent. We will do it again for sure. We recommend this resort to anyone looking for true 5 stars resort.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Excellent voyage

Ma femme et moi venons de rentrer de vacances tout compris Ocean Blue and Sand réservées entièrement par Tripcentral à Hamilton. Nous avons énormément apprécié ce voyage. C'est un très beau complexe - très bien entretenu, avec des chambres confortables et un excellent service. La nourriture était très variée et il y avait des événements divertissants tous les soirs. Nous avons même regardé le SuperBowl sur un grand écran dans le patio principal. Le seul reproche que j'ai à faire est que j [... lire plus]e suis grand et qu'il n'y avait pas assez d'espace pour mes jambes sur le vol. Je recommanderais certainement ce voyage à mes amis !

Excellent trip My wife and I just returned from Ocean Blue and Sand all-inclusive vacation booked entirely by Tripcentral in Hamilton. We enjoyed the trip immensely. It is a beautiful resort - very well maintained, with comfortable rooms and great service. The food had great variety and there were entertaining events to attend every night. We even watched the SuperBowl on a large screen on the main patio. The only complaint I have is that I am a tall person, so there was not enough leg room on the flight for me. I would recommend this trip for my friends for sure!

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine. Le centre de villégiature était magnifique. Le personnel était merveilleux et très attentif. Notre chambre était belle et propre. Les divertissements étaient bons. Mais un peu bruyants (notre chambre était proche du bâtiment principal).

We had a great week. The resort was beautiful. The staff was wonderful and very attentive. Our room was nice and clean. Entertainment was good. But a bit loud (our room was close to the main building).

Amazing Resort Luxury Bahia Principe Samana was exceptional. The staff were amazing professionals, always smiling and doing whatever they could to make our stay memorable. The grounds were well maintained and very clean. There was an error made with our room type which was rectified the following day Kudos to Fenando at reception, Watkin our butler, Jose, William, Johnny, Fernando, Ramon our waiters. Best holiday ever

Riu Palace Macao: Vraiment un grand centre de villégiature

Ce complexe pour adultes est vraiment un complexe 4 étoiles. Personnel amical et très serviable. Excellentes installations. Chambres propres et bien aménagées. Bonne variété de nourriture, belle plage et grande piscine. Nombreuses chaises longues au bord de la piscine et sur la plage. Proche de l'aéroport. Etant non fumeur, j'aimerais voir des zones désignées pour les fumeurs.

Truly a great resort This adult resort is truly a 4 Star resort. Friendly and very helpful staff. Great facilities. Clean well appointed rooms. Good variety of food, beautiful beach and large pool. Plenty of lounge chairs by the pool and on the beach. Close to the airport. Being a non smoker I would like to see designated smoking areas.

Il y a quelques chats errants sympathiques dans tout le complexe, ce qui m'a permis de satisfaire mon besoin d'amour pour les animaux. La plage était magnifique. Je vous recommande de profiter des bureaux du service clientèle (les représentants de Bahia Principe, pas les bureaux de la conciergerie) dans le hall d'entrée pour vous renseigner sur tout ce qui est disponible pendant votre séjour au lieu de vous fier au représentant [... lire plus] de votre compagnie aérienne.

Great atmosphere Staff were all very friendly, easy going and helpful. There are a few friendly stray cats throughout the resort which helped feed my need for animal love. The beach was beautiful. I recommend you take advantage of the guest service desks (Bahia Principe reps, not the concierge desks) in the lobby to find out everything available to you during your stay instead of relying on your airline rep.

Viva V Samana by Wyndham: Un personnel formidable !

Le terrain était magnifique et le personnel très gentil ! Le personnel chargé des activités, en particulier Jordan, Dens, Chocolate et Joanne, s'est beaucoup amusé et nous a divertis toute la semaine ! Excellent travail !!! Un gros point négatif : le complexe n'avait pas assez de zones non-fumeurs. Les quelques zones qui existaient étaient situées juste à côté des zones fumeurs, de sorte que nous, les non-fumeurs, n'avions aucun moyen d'échapper à la fumée ! C'était un gros point négatif pour  [... lire plus]nous et nous ne reviendrons pas pour cette seule raison.

Great Staff! The grounds were beautiful and the staff were very nice! The activities personnel, especially Jordan, Dens, Chocolate and Joanne were a lot of fun and kept us entertained all week! Great job!!! One big negative: the resort didn’t have enough designated non-smoking areas. The few they did have were right beside smoking areas, so there was no way for us non smokers to escape the smoke! That was a big negative for us and we would not return for that reason alone.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Risques pour la santé - Ça n'en vaut pas la peine !

D'habitude, je ne prête pas trop attention aux critiques, pensant que chacun a une opinion différente en fonction de ses attentes, de ses expériences passées, etc. Cependant, je me sens obligée d'informer les gens du manque de préoccupation concernant la sécurité alimentaire dans ce centre de villégiature, ce qui, je crois, a causé la maladie de mon mari et de moi-même. Il y a un snack-bar près de la plage, où l'on fait cuire des hamburgers. Un jour, alors que nous faisions la queue, nous avo [... lire plus]ns remarqué que le cuisinier avait sorti un plateau de galettes de hamburger crues et, sans gants, en avait pris quelques-unes et les avait mises sur le gril. Il s'est ensuite essuyé les mains sur son tablier et a continué à sortir les petits pains avec les mêmes mains. Il ne s'est pas lavé du tout. J'ai été horrifiée et tous ceux qui l'ont vu ont quitté la file d'attente. S'ils ne se lavent pas les mains après avoir manipulé du bœuf cru, se préoccupent-ils vraiment de rincer leurs légumes et leurs fruits à l'eau claire ? Par ailleurs, j'ai également constaté que ce centre de villégiature manquait cruellement de personnel. Il y a eu des matins où nous avons pris des petits déjeuners entiers sans café, bien que nous ayons demandé à plusieurs employés qui passaient par là s'ils pouvaient nous aider ; il n'y avait qu'un ou deux employés qui couvraient de grandes sections et je suis sûr qu'ils étaient à bout. D'une manière générale, il semble que le personnel soit malheureux, ou du moins pas aussi aimable que celui d'autres complexes hôteliers, avec très peu de sourires. Vous vous ferez tous votre propre opinion, mais faites particulièrement attention au manque d'hygiène alimentaire - comme je l'ai dit, mon mari et moi avons été malades pendant nos derniers jours et même après notre retour (et non, nous n'avons pas bu l'eau du robinet !!).

Health Risks - Not Worth It! I usually don't pay too much attention to reviews, thinking that everyone has a different opinion based on their expectations, past experiences, etc. However I feel compelled to let people know about the lack of concern regarding food safety at this resort, which I believe caused both my husband and I to become ill. There is a snack bar down near the beach, at which they cook hamburgers. One day when we were in line, we noted the cook got out a tray of raw hamburger patties and, without gloves, grabbed some and put them on the grill. He then wiped his hands on his apron and continued on getting the buns out with the same hands. Not washing at all. I was horrified and every who saw left the line. This made me question whether in fact they are as concerned about water safety as it was described they were - if they don't pay attention to washing their hands after handling raw beef, are they really concerned with rinsing their veggies and fruits with clean water? On a side note, it was also my observation that this resort is severely understaffed. There were mornings when we would make it through entire breakfasts without a coffee, despite asking multiple staff walking by if they could help us; there were only one or two staff covering large sections and I'm sure they were running ragged. Generally, it also seemed that staff were unhappy, or at least not as engaging as staff at other resorts, with very few smiles. You'll all make up your own minds, but please pay special attention to the lack of food hygiene - as I said, my husband and I were both sick through our last days and even after we returned (and no, we didn't drink any tap water!!).
