Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: ÉNORME RESORT ! !!

Je viens de rentrer du GBP Bavaro à Punta Cana et j'ai pensé vous fournir une brève critique de l'hôtel, y compris une photo des piqûres de moustiques que j'ai reçues, juste pour que vous puissiez fournir cette information à vos futurs clients. (1) Cette station est absolument énorme avec quelque chose comme 6 ou 7 hôtels sur la propriété. Si je l'avais su, nous n'y serions jamais allés. Un employé de l'hôtel a dit à ma femme qu'il y avait 36 000 personnes, ce qui, je le sais, est très exagéré,  [... lire plus]mais il y avait quand même BEAUCOUP de monde. (2) Les piscines étaient bondées, tout comme la plage. Pour obtenir des chaises à la piscine, il fallait partir tôt et à la plage, il était très difficile de trouver des chaises. À plusieurs reprises, j'ai dû demander de l'aide à l'un des employés pour trouver des chaises. C'est la première fois en 20 voyages que cela se produit. Autre point négatif. (3) Nous n'en revenions pas du nombre de personnes sur la plage, à perte de vue. Trop de monde à notre goût. (4) Le système de buggy fonctionnait très efficacement, avec très peu de temps d'attente. Un point positif. (5) Nous n'avons pas eu à nous plaindre de notre chambre qui donnait sur la piscine. La baignoire Jacuzzi était un plus. (6) Malgré le nombre d'hôtels et de restaurants, nous n'avons pu aller qu'à un seul buffet situé dans le hall. La seule autre option en dehors des plats à la carte était le Snack Bar de la plage qui semblait ne servir que la même nourriture chaque jour. Malgré cela, la nourriture était assez bonne avec de nombreuses options au buffet. (7) Même si l'eau était magnifique, il semblait y avoir plus d'algues dans l'eau que la dernière fois que nous étions à Punta Cana. Au moins, ce n'était pas des déchets comme c'était le cas la dernière fois que nous étions à Samana. Il semble que cela se produise partout. (8) Le divertissement était généralement médiocre la nuit et c'est à ce moment-là que les moustiques sortent, nous n'avons donc pas eu de soirées tardives. (9) OUI, il y a des moustiques à Punta Cana et ils m'adorent comme vous pouvez le voir sur la photo. Ces piqûres suintent pendant des jours et démangent comme des fous, alors vous pouvez comprendre pourquoi cette question est si importante pour moi. Certaines stations balnéaires n'ont pas de problème de moustiques, mais lorsque je vais dans une station balnéaire qui en a un, c'est tout simplement la misère pour moi. (10) Il y avait beaucoup de ce que j'appellerais de petites abeilles autour de notre piscine, que je n'avais jamais vues auparavant. Un jour, ma femme en a fait tomber une de son épaule sur l'eau et lorsque j'ai essayé de la tuer, l'abeille m'a piqué et a laissé son dard dans mon doigt. Ma femme l'a retiré avec ses ongles, mais j'ai eu très mal pendant une demi-heure pendant environ une demi-heure, puis mon doigt et ma main ont gonflé comme un ballon. Autre point négatif. (11) Les restaurants à la carte étaient généralement très bons et s'efforçaient de faire plaisir, de sorte que si vous n'aimiez pas un plat que vous aviez commandé, ils le remplaçaient rapidement par un autre. Le filet de bœuf était particulièrement bon pour le D. R. (12) Dans l'ensemble, le service dans les restaurants était bon, mais le buffet n'était pas bon par moments parce qu'ils ne pouvaient pas suivre le flux régulier de personnes qui entraient et sortaient, de sorte que vous deviez presque toujours obtenir une table qui n'était pas encore dressée. Dans l'ensemble, nous ne retournerons jamais dans ce complexe et nous devrons peut-être envisager de nous rendre plutôt en Floride, où le problème des moustiques est moins important. Les centres de villégiature tout compris sont de toute façon très durs pour le système et lorsque vous ajoutez les moustiques et les abeilles à l'équation, cela peut devenir un cauchemar au lieu de vacances merveilleuses.

HUGE RESORT!!! Just got back from the GBP Bavaro in Punta Cana and thought I’d provide you with a brief review of the resort including a picture of the mosquito bites I received there just so you can provide that info to future clients. (1) This resort is absolutely huge with something like 6 or 7 hotels on the property. Had I known this, we would never have gone there. One hotel employee told my wife that there were 36,000 people there which I know is a huge exaggeration but there still were a LOT of people there. (2) The pools were crowded and so was the beach. In order to get chairs at the pool you had to go early and at the beach it was very difficult to find any chairs. On a couple of occasions I had to get assistance from one of the workers to find chairs. This is the first time in about 20 trips that this has happened. Another negative. (3) We couldn’t believe the number of people on the beach, as far as the eyes could see. Too crowded for our liking. (4) The buggy system operated very efficiently there with very little time waiting for a ride. A positive. (5) No complaints about our room overlooking the pool. The Jacuzzi tub was a plus. (6) In spite of the number of hotels and restaurants there we could only go to one Buffet located in the Lobby. The only other option besides the a la cartes was the beach Snack Bar which seemed to only serve the same food each day. In spite of this , the food was pretty good with many options at the Buffet. (7) Even though the water looked beautiful there seemed to be more seaweed in the water than the last time we were in Punta Cana. At least it wasn’t garbage as was the case last time we were in Samana. This seems to be happening everywhere. (8) The Entertainment was generally poor at night and that’s when the mosquitos came out so we didn’t have any late nights. (9) YES, there are mosquitoes in Punta Cana and they love me as you can see in the photo. These bites ooze for days and itch like crazy so you can understand why this issue is so important to me. There are some resorts that don’t have a mosquito problem but when I go to one that does, it is just plain misery for me. (10) There were a lot of what I would call small bees around our pool that I have never seen before and one day my wife swatted one from her shoulder onto the water and when I tried to kill it, the bee stung me and left its stinger in my finger. My wife pulled it out with her nails but it hurt like crazy for about a half hour and then my finger and hand swollen up like a balloon. Another negative. (11) The a la carte restaurants were generally pretty good with a strong effort to please so if you didn’t like a dish you ordered, they would quickly replace it with another. The beef tenderloin was particularly good for the D. R. (12) The overall service in the restaurants were good but the Buffet was not good at times because they could not keep up with the steady flow of people coming in and going out so you almost always had to get a table that wasn’t set up yet. Overall, we would never go back to this resort again and may have to consider travelling to Florida instead where there is less of a mosquito problem. All-inclusive resorts are very hard on the system anyway and when you add mosquitos and bees to the equation, it can become a nightmare instead of a wonderful vacation.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Nous avons passé une semaine merveilleuse dans ce grand centre de villégiature !

Nous avons passé une semaine merveilleuse dans la section Don Ambar du Bahia Principe. Le temps était idéal. La plage a été nettoyée tous les matins et la plupart du temps, l'eau était claire comme du cristal. Nous avons dû nous lever tôt pour réserver de bonnes places à l'ombre. Les piscines étaient grandes et propres. La nourriture n'était pas mauvaise, tout en gardant à l'esprit qu'ils ne peuvent tout simplement pas offrir ce à quoi nous sommes habitués en Amérique du Nord. Les restaurants fr [... lire plus]ançais et japonais à la carte étaient excellents. Le personnel était formidable, même si la plupart parlaient un anglais très limité. Notre chambre était propre et la salle de bain était grande. Nous avions un balcon qui donnait sur l'allée la plus proche de la piscine et de la plage. Ruth, à la réception, a été fantastique. Ils ont vraiment essayé de nous accommoder. Les divertissements en soirée étaient médiocres, mais il y a certainement assez d'activités pour vous occuper tout au long de la journée. Merci à Fiona de nous avoir réservé un excellent séjour. Le rapport qualité-prix est imbattable !

Had a wonderful week at this great resort!! We had a wonderful week at the Don Ambar section of the Bahia Principe. The weather was ideal. The beach got cleaned every morning and for the most part the water was cystal clear. We did have to get up early to reserve good seats in the shade. The pools were large and clean. The food was not bad keeping in mind that they just cannot offer what we are used to in North America. The French and Japanese a la carte restaurants were great. The staff was great although most spoke very limited English. Our room was clean and the bathroom was large. We had a balcony that overlooked the walkway closer to the pool and beach end. Ruth at the front desk was fantastic. They really tried to accomodate us. The evening entertainment was mediocre but there certainly are enough activities to keep you busy throughout the day. Thanks to Fiona for booking us a great trip. The value for the money is unbeatable!

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Il y a certainement des avantages et des inconvénients

Hôtel satisfaisant, ainsi que la nourriture au buffet et à la carte (italienne de loin la meilleure). Bon emplacement pour les excursions car Santa Domingo etc. est plus proche (meilleur prix aussi). L'eau est douce si vous aimez cela et donc bonne pour le kayak et le pédalo. J'ai choisi cet endroit uniquement pour rencontrer des amis.

Definitely a place of pros and cons Hotel satisfactory, along with the food at the buffet and a la carte (Italian by far the best). Good location for excursions as Santa Domingo etc. is closer (priced better too). Tame water if you like that and thus good for the kayak and pedal boat. Chose this location solely to connect with friends.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: bon rapport qualité-prix

Bon rapport qualité-prix. Les chambres sont propres mais datées. C'est un grand complexe bien entretenu et le personnel est serviable. Ce n'est pas un complexe tranquille, beaucoup de fêtards tard dans la nuit dans les couloirs et dans les suites voisines. C'est aussi très loin de la plage, des navettes sont fournies qui attendent habituellement 5 à 10 minutes.

good value Good value for your money. Rooms were clean but dated. It is large resort that is well maintained and helpful staff. This is not a quiet resort, lots of party people late at night in hallways and in neighboring suites. This is also very fat from the beach, shuttles are provided which usual 5 to 10 mins wait.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Magnifique centre de villégiature !

Le terrain était impeccable, le choix de nourriture au buffet du Yucatan était infini. Les restaurants à la carte étaient incroyables. Le seul point négatif est la climatisation dans les chambres, qui doit être améliorée.

Beautiful Resort! Grounds were impeccable, food choices at Yucatan buffet were endless. The "A la carte" restaurants were amazing. The only negative point is the air conditioning in the rooms; this needs to be improved.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Incroyable

Le complexe est magnifique et le service est fantastique ! Les terrains étaient bien entretenus et le personnel était toujours aimable et serviable. La propreté de l'ensemble de l'établissement était superbe. J'ai hâte de revenir bientôt.

Amazing The resort was beautiful and the service was fantastic! Grounds were well maintained and staff were always friendly and helpful. Cleanliness of whole resort was superb. Looking forward to returning soon.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Un centre de villégiature exceptionnel

Le centre de villégiature était magnifique. Il était très propre et le personnel était très sympathique. Nous y retournerions sans hésiter. Nous avons tous les deux beaucoup apprécié la nourriture. La plage était magnifique. Nous avons pu marcher quelques centaines de mètres et profiter d'un coucher de soleil dans l'océan.

Amazing resort The resort was beautiful. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly. We'd go again in a heartbeat. We both enjoyed the food very much. The beach was amazing. We were able to walk out a couple hundred yards and enjoy a sunset in the ocean.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Pas mal

Mon mari a été victime d'une intoxication alimentaire après notre première nuit. Je vous recommande de prendre durokol avant de partir. De plus, nous sommes habitués aux buffets des croisières où l'on vous oblige à vous désinfecter les mains avant de manger. Ce n'est pas une obligation, ce qui facilite la transmission des germes. En comparaison avec les buffets des bateaux de croisière, les buffets de Tulum et de Coba n'étaient pas aussi bons. À part cela, le complexe n'est pas mal. Nous avons c [... lire plus]hoisi Tulum plutôt que Coba parce qu'il se trouve directement sur la plage et j'en suis heureux. Coba est plus fréquenté car la plupart des restaurants s'y trouvent. Il n'est pas possible de faire de la plongée avec masque et tuba car les eaux sont trop agitées. Il y a des courts de tennis et des vélos disponibles, mais il faut réserver un jour à l'avance. Si nous devions y retourner, je choisirais Akumal car c'est la version de luxe et sur la plage, de plus vous avez accès aux 4 resorts et aux cartes alors que les resorts de Tulum et Coba n'ont accès qu'entre eux et pas à Akumal ni à Sian Kaan, et qu'il y a une limite sur le nombre de cartes. Nous avons également trouvé que le service n'était pas vraiment cohérent à Tulum/Coba.

Not bad My husband got food poisoning after our first night. I recommend you take durokol before you go. Also, we are used to cruise buffets where they make you sanitize your hands before you eat. This is not a requirement, thus, easy to transfer germs. In comparison to cruise ship buffets, both Tulum and Coba buffets were not as good. Aside from that, the resort is not bad. We chose Tulum over Coba because it is right on the beach and I'm glad we did. Coba is busier because most of the restaurants are there. You cannot snorkel as the waters are too rough. They have tennis courts & bicycles available but you have to book 1 day in advance. If we were to go back, I would aim for Akumal as it is the luxury version and on the beach, plus you have access to all 4 resorts & a la cartes whereas Tulum and Coba resorts only has access to each other and not Akumal nor Sian Kaan, and a limit on the number of a la cartes. We also found the service was not really consistent throughout Tulum/Coba.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Station balnéaire exceptionnelle, prix très attractif

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: un site extraordinaire avec beaucoup de choses à faire et très propre

Le parc de l'hôtel est impeccable et les détails ont été soignés. Les chambres sont d'une propreté étonnante, tout comme les salles à manger dont la décoration est charmante. La zone publique est maintenue très propre et dispose de nombreux sièges, de nombreux bars à proximité et les divertissements étaient également très bons. Les transports sur le site sont efficaces et permettent d'aller de Tulum à Coba sans délai. Nous reviendrons sans aucun doute.

amazing resort with lots to do and very clean The hotel grounds are pristine with a lot of attention to detail. Rooms are amazingly clean and so are the dining rooms which have a lovely décor. The public area is kept very clean and has lots of seating, lots of bars close by and the entertainment was very good as well. Transportation on the resort is efficient getting you from Tulum to Coba resort without delay. We will be back, no question.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Belle station balnéaire

Charmant complexe hôtelier, le personnel fait tout ce qui est en son pouvoir pour rendre vos vacances mémorables. La nourriture au buffet est une sélection typique de la station, mais savoureuse, personne n'a jamais eu faim. La plage est belle et longue et offre de nombreuses possibilités de promenade. Il y a des vendeurs sur la plage, mais respectez un gentil non merci.

Beautiful beach resort Lovely resort, staff try to do everything in their power to make your vacation memorable. Food at the buffet is typical resort selection, but tasty no one ever went hungry. The beach is beautiful and long with lots of opportunity for walking. Vendors are on the beach, but respect a kind no thank you.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Une station magnifique et étonnante

Ce centre de villégiature est vraiment un établissement 5 étoiles. Le site est magnifique et le personnel est extraordinaire. La nourriture est typique d'un hôtel tout compris, mais les restaurants à la carte compensent ce manque. La suite junior était une touche agréable avec un coin salon séparé. La seule chose qui manquait était l'animation pendant la journée. Il ne se passait absolument rien à la piscine pendant la journée, ce que j'ai trouvé totalement différent de tous les all inclusive qu [... lire plus]e j'ai fréquentés. Le complexe est immense. L'Esmeralda n'est qu'un des hôtels de cette propriété, mais ils ont un excellent système de transport, donc si vous ne voulez pas marcher, vous n'avez qu'à sauter dans le tram. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons passé un excellent moment et je retournerais sans hésiter dans ce complexe.

Beautiful and amazing resort This resort is truly a 5 star facility. The grounds are beautiful and the staff are amazing. The food is typical of any all inclusive, but the a la carte restaurants make up for that. The junior suite was a nice touch with a separate sitting area. The only thing lacking was entertainment during the day. There was absolutely nothing going on at the pool during the day, which I found totally different from any all inclusive I have been to. The complex was huge. The Esmeralda is only one of the hotels on this property, but they did have a great transportation system, so if you don't want to walk - just hop on the tram. All in all - we had a GREAT time and I would definitely go back to this resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Grand centre de villégiature

C'était la deuxième fois que je venais à l'hôtel. Le service est excellent et la nourriture est fantastique. Les chambres sont belles et modernes. Il y a une petite voiture/un bus qui conduit directement à la plage car le complexe n'est pas en bord de mer. C'est réservé aux adultes et donc très paisible. Il y a une plage réservée aux clients où l'on peut se faire apporter des boissons sur les chaises de plage. La plage est belle et l'eau est claire, le sable n'est pas rugueux. La chose que je n' [... lire plus]ai pas aimée est qu'il y avait une fuite d'eau dans ma chambre, ils ont envoyé quelqu'un pour réparer cela immédiatement, mais ils n'ont pas offert un changement pour une autre chambre ou quoi que ce soit de gratuit. Le plafond de la salle de bain n'était pas très beau car j'imagine qu'ils ne pouvaient terminer les réparations qu'une fois la chambre libérée. De même, dans les restaurants, on aurait pu ajouter plus d'air conditionné.

Great resort This was my second time at the resort. Service is great and food is amazing. The rooms are nice and modern. You have a little car/bus driving right at the beach as the resort is not beach front. It's adult only so very peaceful. There is a beach reserved just for the guests where you may have service of drinks brought to your beach chairs. Beach is nice and water is clear, the sand is not rough. The thing I did not like we're that there a water leak in my room, they sent someone is to fix this right away however they did not offer a change for another room or anythingg complimentary. The ceiling in the bathroom was not that nice as I imagine they could only finish the reprairs once the room was vacated. Also in the restaurants they could of added more AC.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Magnifique et relaxant

Le centre de villégiature était très agréable. Beaucoup de choix pour la nourriture. Le poulet Jerk est incroyable. J'ai lu toutes les critiques avant d'y aller et nous n'avons eu aucun problème. Nous étions au dernier étage et nous avions la meilleure vue, mais l'air conditionné n'était pas très bon, mais il nous a permis de nous rafraîchir. Si vous aimez marcher sur une longue plage, ce n'est pas ce que vous recherchez. La plongée avec masque et tuba n'était pas la meilleure, mais nous en avon [... lire plus]s vu quelques-uns. Prenez une petite bouteille d'eau remplie de pain et d'eau et pressez-la et les poissons viendront à vous. Les serviettes étaient changées tous les jours et si nous n'avions pas obtenu quelque chose, il suffisait de demander gentiment et vous l'obtiendriez. Il y a beaucoup de marche mais une fois que vous avez trouvé les raccourcis, c'est facile et cela permet d'évacuer toute la nourriture et les boissons que vous avez consommées. L'excursion à Catermeran et à Duns River Fall était géniale et valait la peine d'être faite. Il y a beaucoup d'activités au centre de villégiature si vous voulez vous impliquer. Restez à l'écart des dames de la multipropriété, elles sont très insistantes. Mon mari et moi avons adoré l'endroit et le recommandons. Trip Central vous fournit des numéros de contact en cas de problème, nous n'avons pas eu besoin de les utiliser mais c'est un réconfort de savoir qu'ils sont là pour vous aider.

Beautiful & Relaxing The resort was really nice. Lots of choices for the food. Jerk chicken is amazing. I read all the reviews prior to going and we had no issues. We were on the top floor and it does have the best view but the air conditioning was not great but it did cool us down. If you like a long beach to walk upon this is not what you are looking for. Snorkeling was not the best but we did see some. Take a small water bottle full of bread and water and squeeze and fish will come to you. Towels were changed daily and if we did not get something you just need to ask nicely and you will get it. It is a lot of walking but once you find the short cuts its easy plus it helps to wear off all the food and drinks you have. Take high level sun screen you burn easy there.The catermeran & Duns River Fall trip was great was well worth taking. Lots of activity at the resort if you want to get involved. Stay clear of the time share ladies, the are very pushy. My husband and I loved the place and would recommend. Trip Central provides you contact numbers if something goes wrong, we did not need to use it but it is a comfort knowing they are there to help.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: L'un des meilleurs !

J'ai visité cette station à plusieurs reprises et j'y retournerai. Comparé à d'autres complexes, c'est l'un des meilleurs, il ne déçoit jamais. Le personnel est amical et très serviable. Les chambres, les piscines, les restaurants, etc. sont en parfait état.

One of the best!! Been to this resort many times and will return again. Compared to other resorts one of the best, it never disappoints. Staff are friendly and very helpfull. Rooms, pools, resturants etc are kept in tip top condition.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Merveilleux centre de villégiature.

C'était une station balnéaire géniale. Nous avons voyagé au Mexique 4 fois auparavant et c'était de loin notre préféré. Les chambres, le terrain et les parties communes sont propres. Le buffet était excellent et très varié. Nous avons essayé deux plats à la carte que nous avons appréciés. La piscine était comme de l'eau de bain et nous n'avons jamais trouvé qu'elle était bondée ou qu'il était difficile de trouver un salon. Oui, il faut marcher beaucoup si votre chambre n'est pas près du hall pri [... lire plus]ncipal. Cependant, le trolley passe fréquemment si vous souhaitez vous y rendre. Nous avons tous les deux la soixantaine et nous avons marché la plupart du temps. Le service de majordome était excellent. Le personnel était courtois, amical et serviable. Le seul inconvénient était le trajet en bus d'une heure et demie entre l'aéroport et le complexe. Mais le bus était confortable et il n'y avait pas de bavardages incessants de la part des accompagnateurs.

Wonderful Resort. This was an awesome resort. We have traveled to Mexico 4 previous times and this was by far our favorite. Clean rooms, grounds and public areas. The buffet food was excellent with lots of variety. Tried two a la cartes which we enjoyed. The pool was like bath water and never found it crowded or difficult to find a lounge. Yes there is lots of walking if your room is not near the main lobby. However the trolley comes frequently if you wish to ride. We are both in our early 60's and walked most of the time. The butler service was excellent. Staff all courteous, friendly and helpful. The only downside was the 1 1/2 hour bus ride from the airport to the resort. But the bus was comfortable with no incessant talking by the tour people.

Terrain impeccable, environnement magnifique, bonne variété de nourriture, personnel aimable et serviable, les restaurants à la carte affichent rapidement complet, peu de chaises longues au bord de la piscine, il faut réserver avant 8h30 pour avoir de l'ombre, belle plage, possibilité de faire ses courses à la plage en 20 à 30 minutes de marche le long de la plage, courts de tennis, mini-golf, parc aquatique sur place, les divertissements ont besoin d'être modernisés,

Fantastic Vacation!! Immaculate grounds, beautiful surroundings, good variety of food, friendly helpful staff, ala carte restaurants book up quickly, limited lounge chairs poolside, need to reserve by 8:30am for shade, beautiful beach, market shopping available at the beach 20 - 30 mins walk down along beach, tennis courts, mini golf, waterpark all on premise, entertainment needs updating,

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Des aventures incroyables vous attendent !

Si vous êtes à la recherche de vacances parfaites avec beaucoup de détente et des tonnes d'aventures, ne cherchez pas plus loin ! Ce centre de villégiature a tout pour plaire, des boissons au bord de la piscine aux excursions rapides vers les sites touristiques et les lieux de divertissement. La nourriture était meilleure que n'importe quel buffet d'Edmonton et les boissons étaient tout aussi bonnes. Je n'ai rien à redire sur le service, tout était parfait.

Incredible adventures await! If you are looking for the perfect vacation with lots of relaxing and tons of adventure then look no further! This resort has it all from poolside drinks to quick trips to great sights and fun. The food was better than any buffet in Edmonton and the drinks were just as good. I have no complaints about the service, everything was perfect.

Le personnel a travaillé dur, ce qui a fait de cet hôtel une bonne expérience. Cependant, nous avons dû attendre une heure et demie après l'enregistrement pour obtenir notre chambre, sans raison explicable. Sans Orando à la réception, nous aurions dû attendre plus longtemps. Nous sommes arrivés dans notre chambre à presque 17 heures et notre coffre-fort ne fonctionnait pas (la poignée ne tournait pas). A ce moment-là, j'étais tellement frustrée que j'en avais presque les larmes aux yeux. Nous av [... lire plus]ons appelé la maintenance et, d'après les commentaires précédents, nous nous attendions à une longue attente mais, à notre grande surprise, un employé est arrivé en moins de dix minutes et a réparé le coffre-fort. Avec l'entrée tardive dans notre chambre, nous avons fini par perdre la majeure partie de notre première journée sur place, ce qui était assez décevant. Nous avons juste eu le temps de faire un petit plongeon dans la piscine, qui était fantastique. Nous avons été invités au steakhouse par l'un des employés pendant que nous étions à la piscine et nous y avons mangé ce soir-là ; le buffet était juste moyen mais j'ai pris le saumon sur la recommandation du serveur, que j'ai vraiment apprécié (petite portion mais les entrées et les desserts sont proposés sous forme de buffet). Dans l'ensemble, la nourriture était juste moyenne. Je ne suis pas difficile, mais mon amie l'est et elle a eu du mal à trouver ce qu'elle pouvait manger. La plupart des desserts sont très sucrés, même pour quelqu'un qui aime les sucreries. Je recommanderais le buffet de l'Orchidée plutôt que celui du Palmyra car il y a plus de choix et nous avons trouvé que le service était meilleur. Le buffet du déjeuner en plein air était généralement bon - assurez-vous de regarder votre poulet jerk avant de partir car celui de mon ami était rose (non cuit) à l'intérieur. À mon avis, le meilleur repas a été pris au Mikado (restaurant japonais) - l'entrée sushi n'était pas très bonne, mais le teppanyaki de viandes variées, de légumes et de riz était excellent. Les boissons étaient abondantes et nous n'avons pas eu l'impression que les gobelets étaient trop petits comme l'ont mentionné certains vacanciers précédents. Le terrain était impeccable et la plage était superbe (la marche jusqu'à la "bonne" plage n'est pas aussi longue qu'on le dit - elle nous a pris cinq minutes). Cette partie de la plage a deux bars séparés qui sont proches des chaises, et oui il y a des gens dans l'eau qui vendent des souvenirs mais ils ne sont pas gênants. Nous les avons trouvés divertissants. Nous n'avons jamais eu de mal à trouver des chaises longues libres à n'importe quelle heure de la journée à la plage, mais à la piscine, les seules chaises longues libres se trouvaient en plein soleil. À ce propos, prévoyez une crème solaire SPF 60 ou plus et assurez-vous d'en mettre beaucoup. J'ai un teint olivâtre et j'ai été gravement brûlée dès le premier jour - une semaine plus tard, j'étais encore en convalescence. Le personnel a généralement fourni un excellent service ; les barmans sont hilarants. Les femmes de la réception ont toujours l'air de ne pas s'embêter, et les femmes du club premium harcèlent les gens lorsqu'ils traversent le hall - nous avons commencé à l'éviter dès le deuxième jour pour cette raison. Nous avons essayé de dire non poliment, de tourner autour du pot, d'être direct, mais rien n'y a fait. Si j'ai dit non les cinq premières fois, je ne suis pas intéressé ! Ils doivent vraiment travailler sur ce point. Nos clés de chambre ont cessé de fonctionner à deux reprises - ce qui n'est pas très agréable quand il est tard dans la nuit et que nous voulons entrer dans la chambre. Il était facile de les réparer à la réception, mais une fois de plus, le personnel n'est pas très amical. Dans l'ensemble, je reviendrais ici si le prix était correct, mais il y a de meilleures affaires à faire en Jamaïque. Faites le tour du marché !

Both Good and Bad The staff was hard-working, which made this overall a good experience. However, we dad to wait 1 1/2 hours past check-in for our room for no explicable reason. If it wasn't for Orando at the front desk we would have had to wait longer. Ended up getting in our room at almost 5 pm and our safe wasn't working (the handle wouldn't turn). At that point I was so frustrated I was almost in tears. We called maintenance and based on previous reviews were expecting quite a wait but to our surprise a worker showed up within ten minutes and fixed it. With the late entry to our room, we ended up losing most of our first day there, which was quite disappointing. Just enough time for a quick dip in the pool, which was fantastic. We were invited to the steakhouse by one of the workers while in the pool and ate there that night; the buffet stuff was just average but I had the salmon on the waiter's recommendation, which I really enjoyed (small portion but the appetizers and dessert are buffet style). The food overall was just average. I'm not a picky eater, but my friend is and she had trouble finding things she could eat. Some things looked good but didn't taste so great; most of the desserts are super sweet, even for someone who likes sweet stuff. Would recommend the Orchid buffet over the Palmyra as there are more choices and we found the service to be better. The outdoor lunch buffet was generally good - make sure you look at your jerk chicken before walking away because my friend's was pink (uncooked) inside. In my opinion, the best meal was at the Mikado (Japanese restaurant) - the sushi appetizer wasn't so good but the teppanyaki of various meats, veggies, and rice was great. Drinks were plentiful and we didn't feel the cups were too small as some previous vacationers have mentioned. The grounds were immaculate and the beach was great (the walk to the 'good' beach is really not as far as people make it seem - took us five minutes). That part of the beach has two separate bars that are close to the chairs, and yes there are people in the water selling souvenirs but they aren't a bother. We found them entertaining. We never had trouble finding free loungers at any time of the day at the beach, but at the pool the only free loungers were in the direct sun. Speaking of, bring SPF 60 or above and make sure you slather it on. I have an olive skin tone and was burned pretty badly within the first day - a week later still recouping. The staff generally provided great service; bartenders are hilarious. The women at the front desk always look like they couldn't be bothered, and the premium club women harass people as they walk through the lobby - we started avoiding it on the second day for that reason. We tried saying no politely, beating around the bush, being direct - none of it worked. If I said no the first five times I'm not interested! They really need to work on that. Our room keys stopped working twice - not so good when it's late at night and we wanted in the room. Was a simple fix at the front desk but again the staff there aren't so friendly. Overall I would stay here again if the price was right, but there are better deals to be had in Jamaica. Shop around!

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: très bien, pas 5 étoiles, mais 41/2

J'ai loué un penthouse supérieur qui valait le prix supplémentaire. Le personnel était excellent. La nourriture était excellente mais très chaude dans la zone du buffet parce que l'A.C. n'était pas adéquate. Malheureusement, l'hôtel n'a pas été construit pour recevoir autant de personnes pour l'espace de divertissement qu'il a. Pas de chaises à la piscine à 8h00, ni de parasols à la plage à 9h00. Spa excellent. Problèmes avec l'un des A.C. dans ma chambre pendant 5 jours, mais compensation avec  [... lire plus]2 spas gratuits d'une heure, ce qui a été très apprécié et plus qu'équitable. Fuentos était un excellent majordome et faisait de son mieux lorsque j'avais des problèmes. Le service de chambre était incroyable, la nourriture était excellente, arrivait chaude et toujours dans la demi-heure suivant la commande. Le service dans les bars était toujours souriant, rapide et très poli. Le service à la plage était aléatoire la plupart du temps. Ils venaient 4 fois en 20 minutes, puis plus personne pendant 1 à 2 heures. C'est pourquoi je dis que c'est 4,5 étoiles et non 5 comme ils l'annoncent. C'est la 12ème fois que je séjourne dans 4 hôtels Bahia différents.

very nice, not 5 stars, but 41/2 Rented superior penthouse which was worth the extra price.The hotel was very nice. The staff was excellent. The food was excellent but very hot in the buffet area because A.C. not adequate. Unfortunately, the hotel was not built to receive as many people for the entertainment space it has. No chairs at the pools by 8:00 am., beach umbrellas by 9:00 am. Spa excellent. Problems with one of the A.C. in my room for 5 days, but compensate with 2 free 1 hour spas which was very appreciated and more than fair. Fuentos was an excellent butler and tried his best when I had problems. Room service was amazing, food was excellent, arrived hot and always within 1/2 hr. after placing order. Service at the bars was always done with a smile, quickly and were very polite. Service at the beach was hit and miss most of the time. They would come 4 times in 20 mins. then nobody for 1-2 hrs. That is why I say it is 4.5 stars and not 5 as they advertise it. This is my 12th time in 4 different Bahia's.
