Cayo Levantado Resort: Incroyable !

Quel magnifique coin de paradis ! Les jardins sont luxuriants et maintenus dans un état impeccable, les jardiniers et le personnel travaillent dur et gardent l'endroit très propre et beau. La nourriture est divine, que ce soit à la carte ou au buffet, vous ne serez pas déçus et les choix sont merveilleux ! Notre chambre était grande et très propre et la touche supplémentaire d'un majordome faisant couler un bain avec des pétales de rose était très romantique. Le balcon que nous avions était im [... lire plus]mense et nous l'avons beaucoup apprécié ! La plage est correcte, elle est un peu en désordre en ce moment car ils sont en train de réparer les dégâts causés par Mère Nature. Cela n'enlève rien au fait d'y être et de profiter de la détente. L'équipe d'animation est fantastique, très amusante et nous avons eu beaucoup d'échanges avec elle. Il y a un service de chariots qui viennent vous chercher et vous emmènent où vous voulez et qui sont très rapides. Les spectacles du soir étaient variés et satisfaisants, le spectacle de cirque était incroyable ! Les piscines ont été maintenues très propres et le personnel était présent à tout moment. Il était agréable de voir la direction se promener et parler avec le personnel et les clients. Une semaine n'était vraiment pas suffisante pour nous, la prochaine fois nous réserverons plus longtemps. Merci à tous pour avoir rendu nos vacances mémorables !

Amazing! What an amazing piece of paradise! The grounds are lush and kept in pristine condition, the gardeners and staff work hard and keep it very clean and beautiful. The food is divine whether you go to al a carte or buffet you will not leave disappointed and the choices are wonderful! Our room was large and kept very clean and with the added touch of a butler running a bath with rose petals was very romantic. The balcony we had was huge and we enjoyed it very much! The beach is ok, it is in a bit of a shambles right now as they are fixing the destruction of Mother Nature. It does not take away from being down there and enjoying relaxation. The entertainment team are a fantastic bunch, lots of fun and we had lots of great interaction with them. There is a service there with carts that will come and pick you up and take you where you want to go and are very prompt with their service. The evening shows were varied and were satisfactory, the circus show was amazing! The pools were kept very clean and staff were there maintaining at all times. It was nice to see management walking around speaking with staff and guests. One week was definitely not enough time for us, next time we will book longer. Thanks to everyone for making our holiday memorable!

C'est aussi calme et intime que vous le souhaitez. Des activités sont également proposées tout au long de la journée et de la soirée pour vous permettre de vous engager pleinement si vous le souhaitez. La nourriture est la meilleure que j'aie jamais mangée dans une destination tout compris. Le personnel était très amical, poli, serviable et attentionné. Je ne peux pas en dire assez sur l'expérience, depuis l'accueil à l'aéroport, l'enregistrement, la propreté de la chambre, la nourriture [... lire plus], les boissons et l'hospitalité en général. Si quelqu'un trouve quelque chose de négatif à dire sur ce complexe hôtelier pendant la période où j'y étais, c'est qu'il est vraiment malheureux. Merci beaucoup d'avoir partagé avec nous votre établissement, votre pays et votre culture.

Fantastic resort for any desired vacation. It is as quiet and intimate as you want it to be. There are also activities throughout the day and evening to become fully engaged if you choose. The food was the best I have had at an all inclusive destination. Staff were all very friendly, polite, helpful and caring. I cannot say enough about the experience from pick up at the airport, check-in, room cleanliness, food, drinks and general hospitality. If someone finds something negative to say about this resort the time that I was there, they are a truly unhappy person. Thank-you so much for sharing your resort, country and culture with us.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Grand centre de villégiature

Tout, du personnel à l'hébergement, en passant par la nourriture, les boissons et les divertissements, a dépassé nos attentes. La piscine était propre et bien organisée. La plage était bien entretenue. Le personnel était attentif et agréable. Le transport était bien organisé.

Great Resort Everything from staff to accommodate, food, drinks and entertainment exceed our expectations. Pool was clean and organized. Beach was well maintained. Staff attentive and pleasant. Transportation well timed.

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Un moment absolument extraordinaire

J'ai passé un moment extraordinaire au Cofresi Palm Resort, tout le personnel et les animateurs se sont surpassés. Les spectacles étaient incroyables et nous avons eu de superbes fêtes. J'ai rencontré des gens vraiment formidables et j'ai hâte d'y retourner. Je le recommanderais sans hésiter à tout le monde.

Absolute amazing time I had an amazing time at the cofresi palm resort all the staff and entertainers went above and beyond. The shows were amazing and had some great parties. Met some really great people and I cannot wait to go back again. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Mauvais

Il n'y a pas grand chose à faire le soir, si ce n'est aller dans le hall d'entrée bondé. Le lieu de divertissement était caché dans un coin de l'entrée principale. La piscine et la plage étaient impossibles à obtenir des chaises, des BS de time share, etc. Cependant, la nourriture, le personnel et le terrain étaient fantastiques. Trop de vendeurs sur la plage pour vous déranger.

Meh Not much to do at nite but go to crowded lobby. Place for entertainment was hidden around a corner by front entrance. Pool and beach were impossible to get chairs, time share BS etc. However, food, staff, grounds were fantastic. Too many vendors at beach buggin you.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Pas mal

Les terrains sont beaux, le personnel est sympathique, les lits étaient confortables mais la chambre était fatiguée. La nourriture était bonne et l'amour le fait que nous n'avons pas besoin de réserver a la cartes. Le plus gros problème avec cette station est qu'ils fournissent des serviettes illimitées, donc les gens ont pris l'avantage et étaient réservant des places à la plage et la piscine. Il était presque impossible de trouver une chaise. C'était cela ou l'hôtel n'en a tout simplement pas  [... lire plus]assez. L'autre problème était les vendeurs à la plage....constamment déranger les gens, ce que je comprends, mais devient assez ennuyeux. Il faut aussi faire attention à la multipropriété à l'arrivée. Ils offrent 200 $ à utiliser dans le centre de villégiature, mais bien sûr, ils veulent que vous veniez écouter leur discours. Mon avertissement à ces centres de villégiature est qu'ils font fuir les gens comme nous. Nous venons pour nous détendre et non pour être harcelés.

Not bad Grounds are beautiful, staff are friendly, beds were comfortable but room was tired. Food was good and love the fact that we didn’t need to book a la cartes. Biggest issue with this resort is that they provide unlimited towels so people took advantage and were reserving spots at beach and pool. Was almost impossible to find a chair. It was that or hotel simply does not have enough. The other problem was the vendors at the beach....constantly bothering people which I get but gets to be rather annoying. Also be aware of time share when you arrive. They offer $200 to use at resort but of course they want you to come listen to pitch. My warning to these resorts is that they are driving away people like us. We come to relax and not get harassed.

C'est la deuxième fois que nous nous y rendons. C'est un endroit féerique. La nourriture est bonne et il y a une variété de choix pour tous les goûts malgré un petit endroit. La chambre est spacieuse et propre. Le service est bon. Nous avons séjourné dans une villa proche de la piscine. Il faut pouvoir se déplacer à pied car la plage est un peu éloignée du hall principal. J'ai été très satisfait du service fourni par l'employé de bureau Keldwin, il a répondu très rapidement à nos demandes. Amazing resort It’s a second time we’ve been there. It’s a féerique place. Food is good and it has a variety of choices for every taste despite a small place. Room is spacious and clean. The service is good. We stayed in a villa close to the pool. You have to be able to walk around because the beach is a little bit far from the main lobby . I was very pleased with the service provided by the office clerk Keldwin, he answered very quickly to our demands. He was always responsive and kind to everyone, to assure us a pleasant stay. I recommend gladly.

Merveilleux endroit pour se détendre. La meilleure nourriture que j'ai jamais eu à n'importe quel all inclusive. Très petite station pittoresque. Hautement recommandé. Plage de l'eau est rugueuse donc pas bon si vous n'êtes pas confiant dans l'eau. Beaucoup de kilomètres de plage disponibles pour marcher.

Awesome Resort Wonderful place to relax. The best food I’ve ever had at any all inclusive. Very small quaint resort. Highly recommend it. Beach water is rough so not good if your not confident in the water. Lots of beach miles available to walk.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Notre incroyable semaine à Chic

Ce centre de villégiature est génial ! J'ai voyagé avec mon copain et deux autres couples, donc avec un groupe de 6 personnes âgées de 24 à 30 ans, nous avons toujours eu quelque chose à faire ! Voici quelques observations que nous avons faites : Nous avons payé un supplément pour obtenir le Diamond Club et dans ce centre de villégiature, cela en vaut vraiment la peine car il y avait beaucoup de choses qui nécessitaient le Diamond Club pour pouvoir les utiliser. Par exemple, il y avait de l'a [... lire plus]lcool de qualité supérieure réservé aux membres du Diamond Club (ce qui était une bonne chose car je préférais la vodka Grey Goose à la Skyy, qui est celle qu'ils servent). Les membres du Diamond Club ont également leur propre salon, leur propre section de la plage et leur propre piscine appelée Mermaid Pool (que nous avons trouvée pas terrible car les employés ne sont pas vraiment là-haut et on ne s'occupe pas vraiment de vous). Chambres : Mon copain et moi avons pris une suite présidentielle et elle était magnifique. L'une des télévisions ne fonctionnait pas, j'ai demandé à quelqu'un de venir la réparer et ce n'est que lorsque j'ai demandé à la réception du Diamond Club qu'elle a été réparée dans les plus brefs délais. Nous avons essayé de mettre l'air conditionné et les ventilateurs à un niveau confortable, mais nous n'avons pas pu échapper à la sensation d'humidité sur nos vêtements et nos draps. D'autres petites réparations dans la chambre pourraient être effectuées ou une petite mise à jour de certaines choses, mais cela ne nous a pas dérangés. Nourriture : La nourriture au Chic était INCROYABLE ! Tout ce que nous avons mangé était génial ! Le restaurant japonais et le steakhouse étaient mes préférés ! Notre majordome s'est assuré que nous avions nos réservations tous les soirs ! Merci Ronaldo, tu as été extraordinaire et tu as fait de notre voyage une expérience inoubliable ! Piscine/plage : La plage du Diamond Club était très agréable, nous y sommes restés presque tous les jours. Esperanza au bar de la plage a été géniale avec nous et si attentive ! Merci ! La piscine était très amusante et l'équipe d'animation avait toujours quelque chose à faire ! Divertissement : Je n'ai jamais été dans un hôtel où il y avait autant de divertissements - le personnel travaille si dur pour s'assurer que vous passiez un bon moment. Un grand coup de chapeau à CANDY MAN - il a toujours fait des pieds et des mains pour venir nous saluer et s'assurer que nous passions un bon moment. Tous les centres de villégiature ont besoin de quelqu'un comme CANDY MAN dans leur équipe de vibration, il était incroyable ! Chaque soir, il se passait quelque chose - le "Adult Show" était incroyable, avec des danseurs professionnels ! Incroyable ! Merci Chic pour ce merveilleux séjour ! Nous reviendrons !

Our Amazing Week at Chic This resort is awesome! I travelled with my boyfriend and two other couples, so with a group of 6 people ranging from 24-30 years old, we always had something to do! Here are a few observations we had: We paid extra to get Diamond Club and in this resort it is definitely worth it as there were a lot of things that required Diamond Club in order to use it. For example, they had premium alcohol for Diamond members only (which was good because I would rather Grey Goose for Vodka rather than Skyy, which is what they serve). Diamond Club members also get their own lounge, their own sections of the beach and their own pool called the Mermaid Pool (which we found wasnt all that great since employees arent really up there so you dont really get attended to). Rooms: My boyfriend and I got a Presidential Suite and it was beautiful. One of the TVs was not working, I asked someone to come fix it and it wasnt until I asked at the Diamond Club reception that it was promptly fixed. I also found in the room that everything felt damp- we tried putting the air conditioning on and to a comfortable level with the fans on but we could not escape the damp feeling on our clothes and bed sheets. Some other little repairs in the room could be made or a little update to certain things but this did not bother us. Food: The food at Chic was INCREDIBLE! Everything we had was awesome! The Japanese and steakhouse was my fav! Our butler made sure we had our reservations every night! Thank you Ronaldo, you were amazing and made our trip! Pool/Beach: The Diamond Club beach was very very nice, we stayed here most days. Esperanza in the beach bar was awesome with us and so attentive! Thank you!! The pool was so fun and the vibe team always had something happening! Entertainment: I have never been to a hotel that had so much entertainment- the staff here work so hard to make sure you are having a good time. Huge shout out to CANDY MAN- he always went out of his way to come say hi and hang with us and make sure we were having a good time. All resorts need someone like CANDY MAN on their vibe team, he was amazing!! Each night had something happening- the "Adult Show" was amazing, with professional dancers! Amazing! Thank you Chic for a wonderful stay! We will be back!

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Sentiments mitigés...

Ma femme et moi revenons de deux semaines passées au Senator Puerto Plata Resort and Spa en République dominicaine. Nous avions lu plusieurs commentaires élogieux sur ce complexe avant de réserver - la plupart d'entre eux attribuant à l'hôtel 5 étoiles sur 5, mais ce n'est pas ce que nous avons vécu. L'hôtel est magnifique et présente de nombreux aspects positifs, mais les aspects négatifs ont vraiment gâché notre expérience. Les points positifs : Le paysage est magnifique. Il y a l'océ [... lire plus]an d'un côté et les montagnes tout autour du complexe. De plus, il y a un port pour les bateaux de croisière à côté de la station et vous pouvez voir ces gigantesques bateaux de croisière aller et venir régulièrement. Le complexe lui-même a été rénové et réorganisé pour lui donner un aspect minimaliste. Il a été entièrement refait à partir de l'ancien RIU Bachata et a l'air flambant neuf. Le personnel de nettoyage fait un excellent travail en gardant les parties communes et les salles de bains propres. Nous devons mentionner Estrella, qui est une femme de ménage hors pair dans les toilettes publiques et les parties communes - toujours un sourire et un câlin pour les clients ! Vous les voyez tous venir nettoyer à toute heure et ils ont toujours un sourire et un bonjour (Hola) pour les clients. Le terrain est également magnifique et très bien entretenu - merci aux jardiniers ! Les chambres elles-mêmes sont très belles et bien équipées (savons, shampooings, sèche-cheveux, fer à repasser, cafetière, rasoirs et brosses à dents en cas d'oubli et réfrigérateur avec de l'eau et des boissons gazeuses). La femme qui a nettoyé notre chambre (Barbara) a fait un excellent travail et a toujours réapprovisionné l'eau et les boissons gazeuses, et a créé chaque jour de fantastiques œuvres d'art sur les serviettes pour nous. Le personnel de la réception est excellent. Ils ont toujours été très serviables - en particulier Michel. Lorsque nous nous sommes enregistrés, elle a vu que l'anniversaire de ma femme était en janvier (le même jour que le sien !), alors elle a demandé à quelqu'un de décorer notre chambre le jour de notre arrivée. Elle a fait en sorte que ma femme se sente très spéciale et bien accueillie. De plus, lorsque nous avons demandé à tout le complexe d'obtenir la bouteille de rhum gratuite que nous sommes censés recevoir tous les 5 jours, elle a été la seule à le faire, dès que nous lui avons posé la question. Le Legends Sports Bar était génial. Tous les serveurs étaient excellents et très amusants, en particulier Luis et Ariel. Ils connaissent vraiment leur métier et peuvent préparer n'importe quelle boisson - nous vous recommandons vivement d'essayer le Chocolate Monkey. Ma femme est une ancienne barmaid et elle n'avait que de bons mots à dire sur leur créativité et leur service. La nourriture était fantastique : hamburgers, boulettes de poulet, rondelles d'oignon, salade César et pop-corn frais le soir. La nourriture dans l'ensemble du complexe était très bonne. Le buffet et le Snack Bar au bord de la piscine proposaient tous deux un bon choix. Le club sandwich du Snack Bar était particulièrement bon. Il y a également une pizzeria sur Tropical Avenue qui fait de bonnes pizzas (l'utilisation des huiles qu'ils ont sur la pizza ajoute vraiment à la saveur) et il y a un magasin de glaces qui a de très bonnes glaces et beaucoup de parfums et de garnitures. Nous avons essayé le restaurant japonais à la carte et le Steak House. Les deux étaient excellents et le service était exceptionnel. Dans le restaurant japonais, il y a beaucoup de nourriture et ils la cuisinent devant vous. Nous avons été un peu déçus que la cuisine ne soit pas accompagnée d'un spectacle. Le Steak House était très bon. La salade est accompagnée d'un étonnant petit bol comestible qui ressemble à un pain de maïs au fromage. J'ai beaucoup apprécié que l'on joue au beach-volley à plusieurs moments de la journée et que l'équipe de divertissement s'y joigne souvent. Cependant, le terrain n'a pas assez de sable et il y a plusieurs morceaux de corail sur lesquels les joueurs se blessent. J'espère vraiment que la direction se penchera sur ce problème pour la sécurité de ses clients. L'équipe de divertissement était bonne. Nous n'avons pas eu l'occasion d'interagir avec eux lorsque le complexe était plein, car ils s'occupaient davantage des jeunes clients ; cependant, au cours de notre deuxième semaine, nous avons pu passer un peu de temps avec Pollo, Pikachu, Coffee et Dora. Ma femme a particulièrement aimé discuter avec Dora et ses danses avec Pollo, surtout sur Suavamiente ! Les points négatifs Les vendeurs de time shares sont extrêmement ennuyeux. Il y en a plusieurs et nous avons été harcelés par chacun d'entre eux à un moment ou à un autre. Ils ne vous expliquent pas de quoi il s'agit, mais essaient simplement de vous faire participer à une séance (une grande ouverture) au cours de laquelle les vendeurs vous pousseront à acheter. Le pire, c'est qu'un homme à l'allure très officielle est venu s'asseoir au bout de notre chaise longue au bord de la piscine et nous a dit qu'il était le responsable de l'hébergement et qu'il voulait savoir si tout allait bien dans notre chambre. Après avoir obtenu toutes nos informations, il a commencé à nous parler de l'inauguration de l'hôtel, etc. il a même dit qu'il enverrait une bouteille de rhum dans notre chambre et qu'il partagerait avec nous l'argent qu'il reçoit pour nous avoir fait participer à la session. Nous étions très ennuyés d'être dérangés pendant nos vacances par ces vendeurs, mais avoir le culot de venir nous interrompre à la piscine (deux fois), pendant la journée, était complètement inacceptable. Le dîner de la Saint-Sylvestre a été une grande déception. Nous étions à la séance tardive et nous n'avons pu obtenir qu'une moitié de homard à partager entre nous deux. On nous a dit que les personnes assises plus tôt prenaient deux ou trois moitiés de homard chacune. Le lendemain, nous nous sommes plaints au directeur du restaurant de ne pas avoir eu de homard et il nous a dit qu'il se pencherait sur la question et qu'il nous rappellerait. Nous n'avons jamais entendu un mot de sa part. Très mauvais service à la clientèle de la part d'un directeur, et de la part de l'hôtel dans son ensemble. Et le spectacle du réveillon n'avait rien de spécial non plus. Nous sommes allés dans d'autres complexes hôteliers où le spectacle de la Saint-Sylvestre était absolument spectaculaire. Service lent - nous avons remarqué que pendant la dernière semaine de décembre, lorsque le complexe était plein à craquer, il n'y avait pas assez de serveurs et le service est devenu extrêmement lent. Le pire a été une heure et demie d'attente pour notre déjeuner au restaurant du midi et cela aurait probablement été plus long si ma femme ne s'était pas plainte au serveur. D'autres clients qui étaient allés au resort plus tôt dans l'année nous ont dit que le service avait été excellent lorsque le resort n'était rempli qu'à 60-70% et ils ont été choqués par la médiocrité du service alors que le resort était plein à craquer. La plage est correcte mais n'a rien de spécial, comparée à d'autres plages que nous avons visitées. Enfin, il y a eu un incident avec un client très ivre et à moitié habillé devant notre chambre tôt un matin, et ma femme a estimé qu'il était nécessaire, pour la sécurité et le bien-être du client, de faire intervenir un agent de sécurité. Bien que le comportement de cette cliente ne soit pas de la faute de l'hôtel, le problème est que quelqu'un l'a servie bien au-delà du point d'ébriété et compte tenu de son état de manque de vêtements - on a demandé à ma femme de l'aider à la porter jusqu'à sa chambre dans un autre bâtiment. Nous contacterons la direction à ce sujet dans un courriel privé. Mon épouse est très compétente dans ce genre d'intervention... heureusement pour cette cliente. Conclusion Le complexe est vraiment magnifique et nous avons apprécié notre séjour, mais les vendeurs de multipropriétés et la lenteur du service nous ont vraiment ennuyés. Quelques ajustements de la part de la direction et le complexe pourrait vraiment être un 5 sur 5 étoiles. J'envisagerais de retourner dans ce complexe mais pas en haute saison.

Mixed feelings... My wife and I just returned from 2 weeks at the Senator Puerto Plata Resort and Spa in the Dominican Republic. We had read several great reviews about this resort before we booked – most of them rating the hotel at 5 out of 5 stars; however, this was not our experience. The resort is beautiful and there are a lot of positives about the resort but the negatives really ruined our experience. The Positives: The scenery is beautiful. You have the ocean on one side and mountains all around the resort. Also, there is a port for cruise ships beside the resort and you get to see these gigantic cruise ships coming and going regularly. The resort itself has been upgraded and revamped to give it a minimalistic appeal. It is completely redone from the old RIU Bachata and looks brand new. The cleaning staff do a great job of keeping the resort common areas and bathrooms clean. We need to mention Estrella as a top-notch cleaner in the public washrooms and common area---Always a smile and a hug for the guests! You see all of them coming around to clean at all hours and they always have a smile and a hello (Hola) for the guests. The grounds are also beautiful and very well maintained—credit to the gardeners! The rooms themselves are very nice and well equipped (soaps, shampoos, hair dryer, iron, coffee-maker, razors and toothbrush in case you forget and bar-fridge with water and pop). The lady that cleaned our room (Barbara), did a great job and always replenished the water and pop, and created fantastic towel art every day for us. The front desk staff are excellent. They were always very helpful – especially Michel. When we checked-in she saw that my wife’s birthday was in January (on the same day as hers!), so she had somebody decorate our room on the day we arrived. She made my wife feel very special and welcome. Also, when we had asked all over the resort about getting our free bottle of rum that we are supposed to get every 5 days - she was the only one that got it done, as soon as we asked her about it. The Legends Sports Bar was awesome. All the servers were excellent and a lot of fun - especially Luis and Ariel. These guys really know their stuff and can make any drink – we highly recommend that you try a Chocolate Monkey. My wife is a former bartender, and she had nothing but good words to say about their creativity and service. The food here was fantastic - burgers, chicken balls, onion rings and Caesar salad and they made fresh popcorn in the evenings. The food throughout the resort was very good. The buffet and the Snack Bar by the pool both had good selections. The club sandwich at the Snack Bar was especially good. There is also a pizzeria on Tropical Avenue that makes good pizza (using the oils that they have on the pizza really adds to the flavour) and there is an ice cream shop that has really good ice cream and lots of flavours and toppings. We tried the Japanese a la carte and the Steak House. Both were excellent and the service was exceptional. You get a ton of food at the Japanese restaurant and they cook it in front of you. We were a little disappointed that there was not much of a show as part of the cooking. The Steak House was very good. The salad comes with this amazing little edible bowl that tastes like a cheese corn bread. I really enjoyed that there was beach volleyball being played at most times in the day and the entertainment team often joined in. However, the court does not have enough sand on it and there are several pieces of coral that the players were getting hurt on. I really hope the management addresses this issue for the safety of their guests. The entertainment team were good. We didn’t get to interact with them much when the resort was full, as they were more engaged with the younger guests; however, in our 2nd week we got to spend some time with Pollo, Pikachu, Coffee and Dora. My wife especially liked chatting with Dora and her dances with Pollo, especially to Suavamiente! The Negatives The staff selling time shares are extremely annoying. There are several of them and we were pestered by all of them at one time or another. They do not tell you what they are all about but just try to get you to attend a session (a Grand Opening) where the closers will push you to buy. The worst of all was when a very official looking gentleman came and sat at the end of our lounge chair at the pool and said he was the Manager in charge of the accommodations and wanted to know if everything was okay with our room. After getting all our information he then started into his pitch about attending the Grand Opening, etc. – he even said he would send a bottle of rum to our room and would split the money with us that he gets for having us attend the session. We were extremely annoyed to be pestered so much on our vacation by these salespeople but to have the nerve to come and interrupt us at the pool (twice), during the day was completely unacceptable. The New Year’s Eve dinner was a big disappointment. We were at the late sitting and we could only get a half of a lobster to share between the two of us. We were told that people at the early sitting were taking two or three lobster halves each. We complained the next day to the Restaurant Manager about not getting lobster and he said he would look into it and get back to us. We never heard a word back from him. Very poor customer service from a manager, and from the resort as a whole. And, the New Year’s Eve show was nothing special either. We have been to other resorts where the New Year’s Eve show was absolutely spectacular. Slow service – we noticed that during the last week of December when the resort was packed full that there were not enough servers and the service became extremely slow. The worst was an hour and a half wait for our lunch at the lunch restaurant and it probably would have been longer had my wife not complained to the waiter. We heard from some other guests that had been to the resort earlier in the year that the service had been great when the resort was only 60 – 70% full and they were shocked by how poor the service was with the resort being full. The beach is ok but nothing special, compared to other beaches we have visited. Lastly, there was an incident with a very drunk and half-dressed guest outside our room early one morning which my wife felt it necessary for the guest’s safety and well-being, to get a security guard involved in. While this guest’s behaviour was not the hotel’s fault, the concern is that somebody served her well past the point of inebriation and given her state of undress – my wife was asked to help carry her to her room in another building. We will contact management regarding such in a private email. My wife is someone who is highly skilled in interventions such as this...lucky for this client. Conclusion The resort is really beautiful and we did enjoy our stay but the people selling the time-shares and the slow service really annoyed us. A few tweaks by management and the resort could truly be a 5 out of 5 stars. I would consider going back to this resort but not at high season.

Riu Republica: Riu Republica

Terrain Nous avons séjourné au Riu Republica pendant 7 jours à partir du 2 janvier 2020. La première impression que nous avons eue de l'entrée a été : " Wow, moderne ! " Le terrain était bien entretenu et constamment entretenu par les jardiniers. Le terrain était très propre. Je donnerais une note de 4 + sur une échelle de 1 à 5, 1 étant la note la plus basse. Il aurait obtenu un 5 étoiles s'il y avait eu un court de tennis et si l'on avait moins fumé dans la zone. Les parties communes étaie [... lire plus]nt toujours propres et bien entretenues. Le seul problème que j'ai rencontré dans les parties communes est la quantité de cigarettes fumées à laquelle j'ai été soumis. Les seuls endroits où l'on ne fumait pas étaient les restaurants, le chariot Ala que nous avons visité et le buffet. Chambres Les chambres étaient propres, modernes et bien entretenues. En ce qui concerne les restaurants, je devrais les classer dans différentes catégories. commençons par les points négatifs. Il y avait plus de 5 restaurants Ala Cart sur le site et nous n'en avons fréquenté que deux, la raison étant que le premier était un buffet et que la nourriture n'était pas des meilleures. Je ne me serais pas attendu à ce qu'ils aient un buffet dans un restaurant italien. deuxièmement, nous sommes allés dans un autre restaurant et nous avons été déçus parce que le restaurant était fermé quand nous y sommes allés. En fait, il y avait deux restaurants identiques à des endroits différents et les deux étaient fermés. Nous avons pu entrer dans ce restaurant la veille de notre départ et la nourriture n'était pas bonne du tout. La présentation était excellente, mais la qualité de la nourriture n'était pas celle à laquelle nous nous attendions. Notre meilleure expérience alimentaire s'est déroulée au buffet principal. Le petit déjeuner était excellent, nous avions tellement d'options à choisir. Et tous les jours, nous avons eu quelque chose de bon à manger. Le déjeuner était également excellent, il y a toujours quelque chose à choisir. Le dîner était excellent. J'ai oublié de mentionner qu'il y avait un Jerk Chicken Hut sur le site et que le poulet était très bon. Je donnerais 5 étoiles à la section buffet de ce complexe hôtelier en raison de la qualité de la nourriture et du choix des aliments. Il y avait le Wifi dans tout le complexe. C'était très bien. Parfois, il était possible d'obtenir un signal lorsque l'on se trouvait sur la plage. Il n'y a pas de court de tennis. Ce complexe est plus petit qu'il n'y paraît sur le site. Mais à mon avis, je pense qu'il est orienté vers les jeunes adultes qui voudraient boire, faire la fête et juste traîner autour de la piscine pour socialiser. Et qui ne sont pas intéressés à faire autre chose que cela. Les divertissements étaient vraiment bons. La musique était excellente. Les plages étaient bondées et l'eau était extrêmement agitée. J'ai vu un homme essayer de monter sur sa planche de parachute ascensionnel pendant plus d'une demi-heure, mais il n'a pas pu le faire à cause des fortes vagues sur la plage.

Grounds We were at the Riu Republica for 7 days starting from the 2nd, Jan 2020. Our first impression of the entrance was; “wow, modern “The grounds were well kept and constantly being maintained by gardeners. The grounds were very clean. I would give the rating of the grounds a 4 + from 1-5 with 1 being the lowest.it would have gotten a 5 star if they had a tennis court and less smoking in the area. Public areas were always clean and always well maintained. The only issue I had with the Public areas was the amount of cigarette smoking I was subjected to. There was smoking pretty much everywhere, including the beach.The only place there wasn’t smoking were in the restaurants, the Ala cart that we visited and the buffet area. Rooms They rooms were clean, modern and well maintained. For dining I would have to rate in different categories. 1st. lets start with the Negative’s. There were over 5 Ala Cart restaurants on the grounds and we only went to two, reason being was that the 1st one we went to was a buffet style and the food wasn’t the greatest. I would not have expected that they would have buffet style setting at an Italian restaurant. 2nd. we went to another restaurant and we were disappointed because the restaurant was closed when we went. Actually the had two of the same restaurant in different locations and both were closed. We were able to get in that restaurant the day before we left and the food wasn’t great at all. The presentation was great but quality food wasn’t what we expect. Our best food experience was at the Main buffet area. Breakfast was great, we had so much options to choose from. And everyday we had something good to eat. Lunch was great as well, there is always something to choose from. Dinner was great. I forgot to mention that they had a Jerk Chicken Hut on the grounds and the chicken was very good. I would give the buffet section of this resort a 5 star based on quality of food, options of food. There was Wifi throughout the whole resort. Which was great. At times you would get signal while on the beach. There were no tennis court. This resort is smaller than it looks on the site. But in my opinion I think it’s geared for younger adults that would want to drink, party and just hang around the pool side to socialize. And that are not interested in doing anything but that. The entertainment was really good. And music was great. The beaches were crowded and the water was extremely rough. I watch a gentleman try to get on his parasailing board for over half an hour and could not get on due to the rough waves on the beach.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: excellent !

C'est la troisième fois que nous venons dans ce complexe. Les deux dernières fois, nous avons réservé le swim-up et nous en avons profité pleinement. La nourriture est excellente. N'oubliez pas de vous renseigner sur les soirs où ils organisent leurs dîners de spécialité au buffet Palmyra. Mardi, c'était le soir des fruits de mer et WOW ! Nous avons eu la chance, une fois de plus, de n'avoir que des précipitations pour la nuit.

excellent! This is our third time at this resort. The last 2 times we booked the swim-up and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food is excellent. Do not forget to inquire which evenings they have they have their specialty dinners at Palmyra buffet. Tuesday was seafood night and WOW! We were lucky enough once again to have rainfall only overnight.

Ocean El Faro: Complexe touristique exceptionnel

L'hôtel était magnifique, le personnel était amical et compétent et s'est adapté à notre grand groupe de 19 personnes Aucun problème pour obtenir des réservations pour notre grand groupe dans l'un des 6 restaurants. La nourriture et le service étaient excellents dans tous les restaurants et bars de la piscine. Aucun problème avec ce centre de villégiature A recommander vivement Les chambres étaient très spacieuses

Amazing Resort Hotel was beautiful, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable and accommodating to our large group of 19 Zero problems with getting reservations for our large group at any of the 6 restaurants. Food and service was great at all the restaurants and pool bars. No issues at all with this resort Would highly recommend Rooms were very spacious

Impressive Punta Cana: Complexe touristique exceptionnel

Très propre, bien entretenu. J'ai eu l'impression qu'ils manquaient de personnel car nous avons eu des problèmes avec le service d'étage, comme le manque de serviettes et d'articles de toilette. Notre concierge privé nous a promis des choses qui ne se sont jamais produites. Le réfrigérateur du bar de la chambre a été rempli trois jours après notre arrivée.

Amazing Resort Very clean, well kept. I felt they were short staff as we had issues with room service; such as short changed on towels and washroom amenities. Our private concierge promised things that never occurred. The room bar fridge was filled 3 days after we checked in.

Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana: Un grand centre de villégiature avec des problèmes de croissance

L'hôtel est charmant, mais certaines parties semblent encore en construction ou mal assemblées (en particulier dans les chambres). Au El Mercado, nous avons trouvé un tas de vis au niveau des yeux de l'une des tables à manger. Ma fille de 4 ans les a trouvées et nous les avons heureusement attrapées avant qu'elle ne se blesse. Lors d'un repas au Noodle and Thread, de l'eau m'est tombée dessus depuis les tuyaux du plafond. D'une manière générale, j'ai trouvé le personnel extrêmement sympathiqu [... lire plus]e mais peu soucieux de l'efficacité du service. Pas de bousculade, si vous voyez ce que je veux dire. Il y avait cependant une poignée d'employés que j'ai trouvés extrêmement professionnels et polis dans leur service, ainsi que chaleureux et amicaux. L'espace piscine était vraiment génial et amusant pour ma fille, mais là encore, le service était lent. La nourriture était excellente mais décevante car je m'attendais à ce qu'elle soit exceptionnelle étant donné le statut du complexe. J'ai trouvé choquant que les cabanas ne soient accessibles qu'à un certain niveau de clients, sinon il fallait payer 99 USD par jour. C'est ridicule et beaucoup trop cher. J'ai séjourné dans des complexes 5 étoiles et je n'ai jamais rencontré cela auparavant. Compte tenu du coût de ce complexe, je pense que le service de majordome devrait être gratuit et que toutes les commodités devraient être gratuites (à l'exception de services tels que les massages par exemple). Great resort with growing pains The hotel is lovely but there are areas that still seem to be under construction or sloppily/hastily put together (particularly in the rooms). In El Mercado, we found a bunch of screws at eye level of one of the dining tables which my 4 year old found and luckily we caught before she could get hurt. While dining in Noodle and Thread, water fell on me from the pipes on the ceiling. In general I found the staff to be extremely friendly but not particularly concerned with efficiency of service. No hustle, if you know what I mean. Although, there were a handful of staff that I found to be extremely professional and polished with their service, as well as warm and friendly. The pool area was really great and fun for my daughter but again the service was slow. Food was great but disappointing as I expected it to be exceptional given the status of the resort. I found it offensive that the cabanas were only available to a certain level of guest otherwise $99 USD per day was required. That is ludicrous and way too expensive. I have stayed at 5 star resorts and have never encountered this before. Given the cost of this resort, it is my opinion that butler service should be complimentary and all of the amenities should be free of charge (apart from services like massage for instance). All in all, it was a nice time but we will not be going back there. Thanks, Athena

Abondance de nourriture et de boissons, partout où l'on regarde. Superbe terrain, personnel propre et sympathique. Plage et piscine à courte distance à pied. La nourriture était de bonne qualité et les options variées. Beaucoup de divertissements et de choses à faire.

Great resort! Abundance of food and drinks, everywhere you look. Great grounds, clean and friendly staff. Beach and pool short walk/distance. Food was good quality and a variety of options. Lots of entertainment and things to do.

TRS Cap Cana Hotel: Un centre de villégiature exceptionnel

C'était ce que mon mari et moi voulions : pas trop de monde, très propre, un très bon service et des gens très amicaux et attentionnés. Notre majordome, Byron, était très serviable et ponctuel. Les employés des restaurants étaient eux aussi formidables (Edwin, Luis, Risen). Le temps était parfait et la nourriture délicieuse.

Amazing resort It was what I and my husband wanted - not too crowded, very clean,service very good and people very friendly and caring. Our butler was Byron and he was very helpful and punctual. The guys at the restaurants were great too (Edwin, Luis,Risen). The weather was perfect, the food was delicious.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Un moment inoubliable avec un personnel formidable !

Ce complexe Bahia Principe Aquamarine était un endroit incroyable et magnifique pour être en janvier 2020. Tout était très propre et bien entretenu. Le restaurant buffet avait une excellente variété de nourriture avec un excellent service et beaucoup de sourires amicaux. Les danseurs étaient très talentueux et agréables à regarder. Les piscines étaient très grandes et très bien animées, avec de nombreuses activités comme le volley-ball, des jeux et des exercices aquatiques comme l'aquazoomba et  [... lire plus]l'aqua spinning. Nous tenons à remercier tout particulièrement Marlon, Willie, Haįron et Stephany pour leur travail acharné et leur professionnalisme. Marlon nous a appris à fabriquer du chocolat avec des fruits de cacao et à déguster du vin. Willie nous a diverti avec la fabrication de boissons à base de noix de coco. Ces personnes merveilleuses nous ont donné l'impression de faire partie d'une grande et heureuse famille. La soirée mousse à la piscine était géniale ! Ce complexe mérite une note de 5 étoiles !

Amazing time with wonderful staff !!! This Bahia Principe Aquamarine resort was an amazing and beautiful place to be in January 2020. Everything was very clean and well kept. The bufffet restaurant had an excellent variety of food with great service and a lot of friendly smiles. The dancers were very talented and a joy to watch. The pools were very big with great entertainment and a lot of activities like volleyball, games and water exercises like aquazoomba and aqua spinning. We especially want to thank Marlon, Willie, Haïron and Stephany for their hard work and professionalism. Marlon educated us on the making of chocolate with cacao fruit and wine tasting. Willie entertained us with the making of coconut drinks. These wonderful people made us feel like part of big happy family. The pool foam party was awesome! This resort deserves a 5 star rating !
