L'hôtel était bien pour le prix... j'ai rencontré beaucoup de gens formidables. J'ai voyagé seul, et je ne suis pas un grand voyageur, mais le personnel était très amical et accueillant, et a facilité les déplacements. Je recommanderais sans hésiter d'y aller.

good resort Hotel was good for the value...met lots of great people. Travelled by myself, and i'm not much of a traveller, but the staff was very friendly and welcoming, and made it easy to get around. Would definitely recommend going there.

Melia Marina Varadero: un moment merveilleux !

Le complexe est nouveau et magnifique. Le personnel est sympathique et merveilleux. Les petits problèmes liés à la chambre ont été réglés rapidement. Il y a suffisamment de nourriture et d'options à la carte pour que même les plus difficiles ne soient pas affamés. Le personnel est extraordinaire. C'est la deuxième fois que je viens à Cuba et la première fois pour mon petit ami. Nous reviendrons encore et encore. Merci pour ces merveilleux souvenirs !

wonderful time!! The resort is new and beautiful. Staff was friendly and wonderful. Small problems with the room were addressed quickly. Enough food and a la carte options that even the pickiest of eaters shouldn't starve. Staff is amazing. My second time in Cuba, my boyfriends first time. We will come back again and again. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Pas un cinq étoiles ! !!

Dans l'ensemble, les gens étaient très gentils. Cependant, si vous vous attendez à ce que cet endroit soit un cinq étoiles, ce n'est pas le cas. L'hôtel a l'air très vieux. Le buffet était très répétitif, les meilleurs endroits pour manger étaient les restaurants japonais et français à la carte. La plage était très sale et le temps venteux. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons eu une expérience correcte, les gens valent le voyage ici. Ne vous attendez pas non plus à ce que votre chambre soit super propre [... lire plus]. Nous devions constamment appeler pour obtenir des serviettes et notre réfrigérateur.

Not a Five star !!! Overall the people were really nice. However if you expect this place to be a five star it is not. Very old looking hotel. The buffet was very repetitive, the best food places were the Japanese and the French al carte. The beach was very dirty and the weather was windy. Overall we had an ok experience, the people are worth the trip here. Don't expect your room to be super clean either. We would have to call constantly for towels, and our fridge.

Melia Las Americas: Grandes vacances

Je reviens d'une semaine au MLA, mon fils a fait de superbes parties de golf et j'ai passé des vacances agréables et relaxantes. La nourriture est extraordinaire (buffet), le personnel est merveilleux et vous traite comme une famille et les divertissements sont les meilleurs. Les plages sont magnifiques.

Great Vacation Just came back from a week at MLA, my son had great golf games and I had a nice relaxing vacation. Food is out of this world (buffet), staff are wonderful and treat you like family and entertainment is the best. Beaches are wonderful.

Tryp Cayo Coco: Peut-être un nouvel endroit la prochaine fois.

J'ai tout de suite remarqué que les propriétaires avaient changé et que l'hôtel était moins bien entretenu qu'auparavant. De plus, ils ne reconnaissent pas les clients qui reviennent, comme le faisaient les propriétaires précédents. C'était mon quatrième voyage à Cayo Coco, mais je vais maintenant chercher un autre hôtel à Cayo Coco. Le personnel est toujours très bon et la nourriture est très bonne si vous aimez le poisson comme moi. Vous n'aurez jamais faim. La plage est magnifique, la piscine [... lire plus] et le terrain aussi, mais l'hôtel commence à avoir l'air fatigué. Ils sont en train de rénover mais semblent se concentrer sur des changements cosmétiques.

Maybe someplace new next time. I noticed immediately that the ownership has changed and the hotel is less up to standard than previously. They also gave no acknowledgement of return guests as the previous owners did. This was my forth trip there but I'll look for another resort in Cayo Coco now. The staff are still very good & the food was quite o.k. if you enjoy fish as I do. You would never go hungry. The beach is amazing, pool and grounds too but the hotel is getting tired looking. They are renovating but appear to be focusing on cosmetic changes.

Notre chambre était toujours propre et fraîche, nous avions une belle vue sur la piscine et le joli parc. il y avait toujours quelque chose de bon à manger, des fruits frais, beaucoup de poisson, les pâtisseries étaient incroyables. L'hôtel est bien réparti et nous avons pu marcher beaucoup, ce qui était bien pour nous.

Beautiful spot the ocean and Beach are AMAZING. Our room was always clean and fresh, we had a beautiful view of the pool and the lovely grounds. there was always something good to eat, fresh fruit, lots of fish, the Baked good were amazing. It is well spread out and we were able to walk a lot which was good for us.

L'hôtel était merveilleux. Mon mari et moi étions toujours inquiets à l'idée de nous rendre à Cuba parce que nous avions toujours entendu dire que la nourriture y était épouvantable. Eh bien, nous ne sommes pas du même avis. Si vous ne pouvez pas trouver quelque chose à manger dans ce complexe, je dirais que vous êtes beaucoup trop difficile. Nous n'avons pas eu à nous plaindre d'un seul repas. Les chariots à la carte étaient également excellents. Nous avons pris le chinois et l'italien. Je reto [... lire plus]urnerais dans ce complexe n'importe quand et je le recommanderais à tout le monde.

Great Resort The hotel was wonderful. My husband and I were always concerned about travelling to Cuba because we have always heard that the food was terrible. Well we beg to differ. If you cant find something to eat at this resort then I would say that you are way to fussy. There wasn't a meal that we could complain about. The a la carts were great as well. We did the Chinese and Italian. I would go back to this resort any time as well as recommend it to anyone.

Melia Las Dunas: Un grand moment de détente

Nous avons vraiment apprécié cette première expérience dans un centre de villégiature tout compris. Nous sommes des routards et c'était un changement de rythme agréable, choyé et reposant. Nous recommandons vivement d'y aller à la mi-novembre. Excellent prix ! Temps chaud et ensoleillé. Le complexe était à peu près à moitié plein et le service était très bon. Le personnel essayait toujours de nous faire plaisir, les autres résidents étaient si gentils. Notre chambre au deuxième étage du bâtiment [... lire plus] 47 était calme, avait une vue sur l'eau, était proche de la piscine pour adultes et de la plage, et à seulement 5 minutes à pied du hall et des restaurants. Les animations en soirée étaient très bonnes. Le café du matin dans le hall était à tomber par terre. Notre chambre était propre, il y avait toujours quelque chose de délicieux à manger pour nous (je suis végétarienne), et les boissons du bar étaient super délicieuses ! La plage est la meilleure sur la bande de stations locales. Merci à Teresa Gates de Trip Central de nous avoir recommandé Melia Las Dunas Santa Maria !

A great relaxing time We really enjoyed this first time ever to an all inclusive resort. We are backpackers so this was a lovely pampered, restful change of pace. Highly recommend going mid November. Excellent price! Hot sunny weather. The resort was approximately half full and service was very good. Staff were always trying to please us, other resorters were so nice. Our building 47 second floor room was quiet, had a view of water, was close to the quiet adult pool and beach, and only 5 min walk to lobby and restaurants. The evening entertainment was very good. Lobby morning coffee drinks were to-die-for. Our room was clean, there was always something delicious for us to eat (I'm a vegetarian), and the bar drinks were super delish! The beach is the best on the strip of local resorts. Thanks to Teresa Gates at Trip Central for recommending Melia Las Dunas Santa Maria to us!

Nécessite beaucoup d'entretien. Le buffet était froid. Nous sommes arrivés à 12h30 et avons dû attendre notre chambre jusqu'à 16h00. Je n'ai pas été impressionné par cela. J'ai travaillé 2 fois 12 heures avant et j'étais debout toute la nuit avant d'aller à l'aéroport. La réceptionniste a été impolie. Notre chambre avec vue sur l'océan était loin de l'être. Les piscines étaient superbes et les gens sympathiques. La plupart de nos repas étaient excellents après le premier jour.

Good Resort Needs quite a bit of maintenance. Buffet lunch was cold. We got there at 12:30 and had to wait for our room til 4:00. Was not impressed by that. I worked 2 12 hour shifts prior and was up all night prior to going to airport. Found receptionist rude. Our ocean view room was far from being ocean view. The pools were great and people were friendly. Most of our meals were great after the first day.

Tryp Cayo Coco: Un voyage extraordinaire

J'ai voyagé au TRYP Cayo Coco du 14 au 21 novembre avec mon ami. Je n'ai pas été à Cuba depuis 8 ans - la première impression de cet endroit le soir de notre arrivée était terrible. Pas d'aide pour porter les bagages à notre chambre, impossible de trouver le numéro du bâtiment car il faisait nuit, nous avons monté nos bagages sur 3 étages dans l'obscurité totale. La chambre n'était pas terrible... (attention, j'ai l'habitude du Mexique et de la RD 4 étoiles).... Nous avons déposé nos affaires et [... lire plus] sommes retournés à la réception pour demander un changement de chambre. Ils ont accepté et le jour suivant nous avons été déplacés au rez-de-chaussée avec un nouveau carrelage, etc. C'était beaucoup mieux. À partir de ce moment-là, notre voyage a été EXTRAORDINAIRE. Le personnel était fantastique. La piscine était superbe et l'océan magnifique. La plage est assez "courte" car la marée monte presque toute la journée, mais il y a quand même assez de place pour s'allonger. Nous nous sommes beaucoup amusés. Nous avons rencontré des gens formidables. La nourriture était plutôt bonne. Le seul problème que j'ai rencontré était les horaires du buffet... le petit déjeuner était servi de 7 à 10 heures et le déjeuner ne commençait pas avant 13 heures ! Oui, il y a un restaurant sur la plage, mais la plupart du temps, il y avait trop de monde pour trouver une table et même si vous en trouviez une, vous deviez attendre le service pendant un bon moment. Les fois où nous avons mangé au buffet pour le dîner et le déjeuner, c'était vraiment très bien... de superbes pizzas que l'on peut commander sur commande, un bar à pâtisseries, des sushis, etc. Très bon ! Ils sont en train de rénover/améliorer ce complexe, mais il ne faut pas oublier qu'il s'agit de Cuba. Ils n'ont pas l'argent ou les ressources que d'autres pays ont, mais ils essaient. Rien n'a été fait en 17 ans. Mais je reviendrais sans hésiter !

Awesome Trip Travelled to TRYP Cayo Coco Nov.14 to 21 with my friend. Haven't been to Cuba in 8 years - first impression of this place the night we arrived was terrible. No help with luggage to our room, couldn't find out building number as it was dark, lugged our bags up 3 floors in the pitch dark. Room was not that great...(mind you I'm used to Mexico and DR 4 stars)....dropped our stuff off and went back to desk to ask for a room change. They accommodated and the next day we were moved to a ground floor with new tile, etc. This was much better. From then on our trip was AMAZING. The staff were fantastic. The pool was great and the ocean - beautiful. The beach is quite "short" as the tide is in mostly all day, but still enough room to lay out. We just had so much fun. Met great people. Food was pretty decent. The only issue i had was the buffett hours...breakfast was 7-10AM and then lunch didn't start until 130! so if you missed breakfast or ate really early, you were starving. Yes, they have a beach restaurant, but a lot of time, it was too packed for a table and even if you got one, you were waiting for service for quite some time. The times we did eat in the buffet for dinner and lunch were reeally good...awesome pizza that you can have made to order, past bar, sushi, etc. Really good! They are in the process of renovating/updating this resort, but you have to remember it's Cuba. They dont' have the money or resources that other countries do, but they're trying. Nothing's been done in 17 years here. I would definitley return though!

Melia Las Dunas: Tout juste OK

Mon mari et moi avons séjourné au Melia Las Dunas la semaine du 23 novembre. J'ai choisi cet hôtel en me basant sur les commentaires affichés sur Trip Advisor, la majorité d'entre eux étant très positifs. Bien que nous ayons apprécié nos vacances, je dois ajouter que nous avons tous deux été déçus par l'hôtel dans son ensemble. L'hôtel est daté et a besoin de rénovations pour le rafraîchir (y compris les chambres et la piscine). Notre première chambre n'était pas à la hauteur (fuite importante s [... lire plus]ous le lavabo de la salle de bain qu'ils ont réparée en coupant l'eau lorsque nous étions sortis le premier soir) et à partir de là, je ne sais même pas pourquoi, lorsque l'hôtel n'est pas à pleine capacité, ils attribueraient cette chambre (4815) à des clients alors qu'ils savent (à moins que cela ne vous dérange pas d'avoir une grosse flaque d'eau au milieu de votre salle de bain) qu'il s'agira d'un problème. Ceci étant dit, notre deuxième chambre était bien meilleure. La nourriture à l'hôtel est bonne mais pas très variée d'un jour à l'autre. Nous aimons Cuba, nous y sommes déjà allés deux fois et nous y retournerons l'année prochaine.....mais pas dans cet hôtel. Nous avons aimé l'hôtel... non. Est-ce que nous recommanderions l'hôtel....non. Est-ce que cela a gâché notre voyage....non nous avons quand même passé un bon moment.

Just OK My husband and I stayed at Melia Las Dunas the week of November 23rd. I selected this hotel based on the reviews that were posted on trip advisor with the majority of them being very positive. Although we enjoyed our vacation I must add that we were both disappointed with the hotel overall. The hotel is dated and in much need of renovations to freshen it up (this includes rooms and pool area). Our first room was not up to par (major leak under bathroom sink which they fixed by shutting off the water when we were out the first evening) and based on this I'm not even sure why when the resort is not at full capacity that they would assign this room (4815) to guests when they know (unless you wouldn't mind a big puddle in the middle of your bathroom) it will be an issue. With this being said our second room was much better. The food at the hotel is good but not very much of a variety from day to day. We love Cuba, have been there 2 previous times and will return at some point next year again.....but not to this hotel. Did we like the hotel...no. Would we recommend the hotel....no. Did it ruin our trip....no we still had a good time.

Hotel Camino del Mar: Dépasser les attentes

C'était notre premier voyage à Cuba et nous sommes heureux d'avoir pu commencer par un hôtel qui a dépassé nos attentes. Excellent rapport entre le personnel et les clients ; le niveau de service était très élevé, et aucune demande n'a semblé ne pas être satisfaite (bien que, pour être juste, nous ne soyons pas des clients très exigeants). L'emplacement est excellent, à condition de ne pas s'attendre à la vie nocturne ou au magasinage, car Cayo Guillermo est assez isolé. Par contre, c'est fantas [... lire plus]tique si vous recherchez des vacances dans le complexe ou axées sur la nature et la plage, et de nombreuses excursions d'une journée sont disponibles pour des activités telles que la plongée en apnée sur la magnifique barrière de corail qui se trouve à environ un mille au large. Même la plongée avec masque et tuba sur la côte est très bonne - chaude, cristalline et peu profonde - et j'ai passé des heures chaque jour dans l'eau et je n'aurais pas pu être plus heureux. La nourriture était également meilleure que prévu ; les clients réguliers nous ont dit que la nourriture s'était considérablement améliorée au cours des derniers mois, et nous étions certainement très satisfaits. Les restaurants à la carte n'étaient pas qualitativement très différents du buffet, mais l'expérience de la restauration formelle était un changement de rythme agréable. Un excellent séjour dans l'ensemble !

Exceeded expectations This was our first trip to Cuba -- glad we kicked things off with a resort that exceeded expectations. Excellent ratio of staff to guests; the standard of service was very high, and no request seemed to go unfulfilled (though to be fair, we're not very demanding guests). The location is excellent, provided you're not expecting night life or shopping, since Cayo Guillermo is quite isolated. Fantastic if you're looking for an on-resort or nature/beach-oriented vacation, however, and plenty of day excursions are available for things such as snorkeling on the beautiful barrier reef a mile or so offshore. Even the inshore snorkeling is pretty good -- warm, crystal clear, and shallow -- and I spent hours each day in the water and couldn't have been happier. Food was also better than expected; regular guests told us the food has improved significantly in the last several months, and we were certainly quite satisfied. The a la carte restaurants weren't qualitatively very different from the buffet, though the formal dining experience was a nice change of pace. Great stay overall!

Notre séjour au Melia Marina Varadero a été merveilleux ! Notre chambre était impeccable et moderne. Nous étions au 4ème étage avec vue sur la marina - un emplacement parfait pour s'asseoir sur notre balcon vitré et regarder les divertissements nocturnes lorsque nous étions trop fatigués pour assister aux festivités en bas. Les employés de l'hôtel ont été fabuleux, toujours courtois et gentils. Le service à la clientèle était une priorité - de Barbara qui s'est occupée de notre chambre, à Rubier [... lire plus] (Rootbeer) à la piscine, en passant par Vanietta (Vanna) au bar (pour n'en citer que quelques-uns). Tous les membres du personnel vous accueillent avec le sourire et font tout ce qu'ils peuvent pour rendre nos vacances spéciales - ils y parviennent. La nourriture était incroyable - ce n'est pas quelque chose que l'on entend habituellement de la part de personnes qui ont passé des vacances à Cuba. Les 3 ala cartes, le buffet, le restaurant de la piscine et le restaurant de la plage avaient tous des menus différents et la nourriture était superbe. Le complexe est très bien entretenu (merci aux jardiniers et au personnel d'entretien pour leur travail acharné). Il s'agit d'un nouveau complexe et nous avons été agréablement surpris de constater qu'il n'y avait rien à améliorer. Melia Marina devrait être un lieu incontournable si vous envisagez de passer des vacances à Cuba - nous prévoyons d'y retourner dans l'année !

Only one word to describe it - amazing! Our stay at Melia Marina Varadero was wonderful! Our room was spotless and modern. We were on the 4th floor overlooking the marina - a perfect location for sitting on our glassed in balcony, viewing the nightly entertainment when we were too tired to actually attend the festivities below. The employees of the resort were fabulous - always courteous and kind. Customer service was priority one - from Barbara who took care of our room, Rubier (Rootbeer) at the pool, Vanietta (Vanna) at the bar (just to name a few). All staff greeted you with a smile and would do what they could to make our vacation special - they succeeded. The food was amazing - not something you usually hear from people who have vacationed in Cuba. The 3 ala cartes, the buffet, pool restaurant and beach restaurant all had different menus and the food was superb. The resort is very well maintained (thank you to the gardeners and the maintenance staff for all of their hard work). This is a new resort and we were pleasantly surprised that there was nothing that needed refining. Melia Marina should be a "must go" location if you are thinking of vacationing in Cuba - we plan to go back within the year!

Le service est bon, mais la seule chose que j'ai remarquée, c'est que tous les aliments ne sont pas étiquetés pour dire ce qu'ils sont. Beaucoup de gens ne mangent pas tous les aliments différents. Les divertissements étaient incroyables.

Great time The rooms were nice, and the ground was always clean and neat. The service is good, but the only thing I noticed, not all the food is tagged to say what it was.. Lots of people don't eat all the different foods. The entertainment was amazing.
