Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Magnifique complexe hôtelier, mais avec des préoccupations pour les clients.

Tout d'abord, je voudrais dire que le Melia Punta Cana Resort est magnifique ! Le personnel était accueillant, gentil et dans l'ensemble, j'ai eu une très bonne impression. Cependant, il y a eu quelques sujets de préoccupation. Le premier matin, au petit-déjeuner, on m'a servi un café au buffet Rumba qui n'était pas du tout bon. Des morceaux noirs de "je ne sais quoi" flottaient dans le café. J'ai pu enlever quelques morceaux à l'aide d'une fourchette. À une table voisine, j'ai remarqué qu [... lire plus]'une femme plongeait un couteau dans sa tasse pour enlever ces horribles morceaux. Inutile de dire que j'ai demandé un gérant, qui s'est excusé, mais j'étais un peu inquiet à l'idée de boire du café à partir de maintenant. De plus, j'ai trouvé que la nourriture n'était pas assez cuite à chaque repas au buffet. Si la nourriture était considérablement améliorée, je n'aurais pas autant de problèmes à vouloir séjourner dans ce complexe. Veuillez noter que j'ai souffert de diarrhée et de crampes d'estomac dès mon premier jour à l'hôtel. La diarrhée a continué (j'en suis au 10ème jour et j'ai dû appeler mon médecin pour savoir ce qu'il fallait faire) Un autre sujet de préoccupation était ma chambre au centre de villégiature. Le premier matin, après mon réveil, j'ai remarqué que la porte coulissante était entrouverte. Le cadre était plié à l'extérieur et la serrure de la porte était également pliée, ce qui empêchait la porte de se fermer ou de se verrouiller. La porte donnait l'impression que quelqu'un avait essayé de l'ouvrir de l'extérieur. Le personnel de nettoyage aurait dû s'en apercevoir et réparer la porte avant que je n'occupe la chambre. De plus, il fallait tirer la chasse d'eau au moins deux fois, voire trois, après chaque utilisation. Je craignais constamment que les toilettes ne soient inondées. (Ma voisine m'a réveillé à 2 heures du matin un jour où ses toilettes débordaient et elle n'a pas eu de téléphone pendant les cinq jours qu'elle a passés à l'hôtel) À l'arrivée, du sang était également visible sur la taie d'oreiller de ma fille, ce qui était totalement inacceptable. C'est la seule fois où j'ai dû prévenir la réception de l'hôtel à deux reprises pour que le problème soit résolu. Enfin, à mon arrivée dans ma chambre, j'ai dû demander à ce qu'elle soit mieux nettoyée, car il y avait de la nourriture sur le sol, sous la commode et le canapé, laissée par le client précédent. Le suivi par le personnel de l'hôtel concernant toute plainte ou problème a été traité rapidement et avec courtoisie. J'ai fait de mon mieux pour ignorer ces problèmes, mais je tenais à donner un avis honnête sur mon séjour dans ce complexe.

Beautiful Resort with guest concerns though. First I would like to say that the Melia Punta Cana Resort was beautiful! The staff were welcoming, kind and overall my impression was very good. However, there were some areas of concern. On my first morning at breakfast I was served a coffee at the Rumba buffet, that was totally not okay. Black chunks of “whatever” were floating in the coffee. I was able to remove some of the chunks using a fork. At a table close by I noticed a woman dipping a knife in her cup to remove these terrible chunks. Needless, to say I asked for a manage, who apologized, but I was a bit concerned to drink coffee from here on in. Also, I found the food continually under cooked at each meal at the buffet. If the food was improved immensely I would not have as big an issue with wanting to stay at this resort. Please note I have been sick with diarrhea and stomach cramps from my first day at the resort. Diarrhea has continued (day 10 for me now, and have needed to call my doctor for advise as to what to do.) Another area of concern was my room at the resort. On the first morning after I awoke, I noticed the sliding door was ajar. The frame was bent on the outside and the door lock was also bent preventing the door from shutting/locking. The door looked like someone tried to pry the door open from the outside. This should have been noticed by the cleaning staff and repaired prior to my staying in the room. Also, the toilet in the room had to be flushed at least twice if not three times after each use. I was constantly worried about the toilet flooding. (My neighbour woke me at 2:00 a.m. one morning due to her toilet flooding over and she had no telephone service the five days stayed at the hotel.) On arrival, blood was also noticeable on my daughters pillow case which was totally unacceptable. This was the only time I had to notify hotel reception twice to have the problem remedied. Lastly, upon arrival in my room, I needed to request for my room to be cleaned better, since there was food on the floor under the dresser and couch area left from previous guest. Follow-up by hotel staff regarding any complaints or issues was dealt with promptly and courteously. I tried my best to overlook these areas of concern, but wanted to provide an honest opinion about my stay at the resort.

La nourriture était incroyable, l'atmosphère était excellente et le service aussi. Les chambres étaient très propres et modernes, la plage était superbe avec les cabanas et de nombreuses chaises pour s'asseoir, le centre de remise en forme était bien situé, propre et moderne.

Great resort The food was amazing , atmospher was great and so was the service . Rooms were very clean and modern ,the beach was great with the Cabanas and lots of chairs to sit in, fitness center was good siZe and clean , modern .

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: L'un des meilleurs centres de villégiature

Nous venons de passer 7 jours ici, du 6 au 13 juin. C'est l'un des meilleurs complexes réservés aux adultes que nous ayons visités. Les chambres étaient spacieuses et très propres. Les femmes de ménage passaient en début de soirée pour s'assurer que nous avions tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Le service était excellent dans tous les restaurants et à la réception. La nourriture était vraiment très bonne. Belle plage de sable blanc avec un service de serveur sur votre chaise !

One of the best resorts Just spent 7 days here June 6-13th. This was one of the best adult only resorts we have been to. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Maids came around in early evening to ensure we had everything we needed. The service was great in all restaurants and at the front desk. The food was really very good. Nice white sandy beach with waiter service at your chair!

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Magnifique lieu de vacances !

Le centre de villégiature lui-même était extraordinaire ! Beau, propre et plein de gens sympathiques. La seule chose qui m'a semblé être un inconvénient est que le complexe est un peu trop grand ! Il faut beaucoup marcher pour se déplacer. Dans l'ensemble, je recommanderais sans hésiter ce complexe.

Beautiful Vacay Spot! The resort itself was amazing! Beautiful, clean, and full of lots of friendly people. The only thing that struck me as an inconvenience is that the resort is a bit too big! A lot of walking to get around. All in all I would definitely recommend this resort.

Mon petit ami et moi sommes venus ici le 6 juin pour une semaine et nous donnerions tous les deux 5 étoiles à ce centre de villégiature. Tous les employés sont si gentils et généreux. An amazing resort Highly recommend going Premium if you can- wifi, better restaurants, room service, nicer spot on beach and a pool. My boyfriend and I came here June 6th for a week and we would both rate this resort 5 stars. Every single one of the employees are so kind and generous. The food was amazing. The beach was beautiful. I couldn’t say enough about this place honestly, we had an absolutely amazing time and this resort will make for a great first vacation memory. Highly recommend

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Belle station balnéaire

Nous avons séjourné dans ce complexe pendant 5 nuits. Très propre et personnel sympathique. Le restaurant buffet était très propre et nous avons été accueillis chaleureusement à chaque fois. Le bar des sports est de loin la meilleure chose sur ce resort... un endroit formidable pour regarder un match. Le seul inconvénient de ce complexe est que les animations à la piscine ne commencent que vers 16 heures, quand la plupart des gens font la sieste.

Nice resort Stayed at this resort for 5 nights. Very clean and friendly staff. Buffet restaurant was very clean and was greeted with a warm welcome every time. The sports bar is by far the best thing on this resort.. a GREAT place to catch a game. The only con of this resort is that the pool entertainment doesn't start until about 4pm in the afternoon when most people are napping.

Le complexe a dépassé nos attentes. Nous avons séjourné deux fois à La Romana, le complexe familial voisin. Il est réservé aux adultes et est fantastique. Ce n'est pas un grand complexe, ce qui facilite les déplacements. Les piscines, la plage, les chambres, les parties communes et les restaurants sont magnifiques et très propres. Il y a une piscine amusante près de la plage, une petite piscine jacuzzi à côté et une piscine tranquille à l'autre bout du complexe. Tout le personnel était très serviable et travaillait toujours dur. Le seul point négatif est que l'eau de l'océan est calme mais pas cristalline comme on pourrait s'y attendre. 42nd Anniversary trip to a Fantastic Resort The resort exceeded our expectations. We stayed twice at La Romana, which is the family resort next door. This is adults only and is fantastic. It is not a large resort which makes it very easy to get around. The pools, beach area, rooms, common areas, and restaurants are beautiful and very clean. There is a fun pool by the beach, a small jacuzzi pool beside it, and a quiet pool at the other end of the resort. Our room was very clean and spacious with a well stocked mini bar. We had butler service to help us with our needs. Two buffet restaurants and three a la carte were all great. A huge selection in the buffets and great menus at the a la carte. All the staff were very helpful and were always working hard. Only negative is the ocean water is calm but not crystal clear as you may expect. But the beach is always clear of sea weed and kept very clean. We will go back

Perfect vacation The resort was exceptional. The rooms where clean, calm, comfortable. The food at the main buffet was always amazing. Lots of options for every taste and great themes trough the week. The beach was cleaned every day and the beach bar had an exceptional service. We enjoyed the coffee shop every day. We are not fans of animation, party's and restaurants a la carte, so we did not attend does events and places. But our vacation was perfect. Lots of beach volley ball, kayak and great times. It was our best vacation ever!!!

Ce complexe est très bien entretenu. La nourriture était bonne, la piscine était bonne et les activités étaient amusantes. Les divertissements nocturnes ne sont pas aussi divertissants que dans d'autres stations, mais cela ne représente qu'une heure de votre temps. Il y a toujours de bons animaux à grignoter et le personnel prend soin de vous. Je trouve qu'ils attendent beaucoup des tops mais quand on sait combien ils gagnent par jour/mois, on est plus enclin à donner. J'y suis allée en basse sa [... lire plus]ison et il n'y avait ni trop de monde ni trop de monde. Je trouve cependant que leurs services (spa, marché, etc.) sont un peu chers. J'aurais aimé que le buffet principal soit fermé car cela rend les choses plus hygiéniques, mais c'était quand même bon. Il y avait aussi beaucoup de vent à la plage, donc l'eau n'était pas très bonne pour nager.

Absolutely Beautiful This resort is very well maintained. The food was good, the pool was good and the activities were fun. The nightly entertainment want as entertaining as other resorts but that's just an hour of your time. They always have good animals for you to munch on and the staff take care of you. I do find that they are expectant of tops but when you find out how much they make per day/month you become more willing to give. I went during a low season and it wasn't too busy or too packed. I do however find their services (spa, marketplace etc.) To be a little expensive. I wish the main buffet was closed because it makes things more hygienic that way but it was still good. There was also a lot of wind at the beach so the water want that great to swim in.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Le bon moment

Tout d'abord, permettez-moi de dire que le personnel est vraiment ce qui fait la force de ce centre de villégiature. Ma compagne était enceinte et ils ont vraiment fait tout ce qu'ils pouvaient pour nous. Il faisait chaud. Très chaud. Pas de climatisation dans les restaurants. La climatisation a eu du mal à fonctionner dans notre première chambre et nous avons fini par changer de chambre, qui avait une meilleure climatisation. Mais la première nuit a été difficile. Il a été formidable. Un grand merci à Gregory qui nous a fait changer de chambre pour une mieux climatisée. Enfin, merci à Lizairi de s'être si bien occupée de nous et d'avoir fait en sorte que nous puissions goûter à tous les restaurants.

Good Time First of all, let me say that the staff are truly what make this resort. My partner was pregnant and they really did all they could for us. It was hot. Very hot. No AC in the restaurants. The AC struggled in our first room and we ended up moving rooms which had better AC. But the first night was a struggle. Resort grounds are spectacular. Spent a lot of time at the quiet pool trying to stay cool. Our butler Anasacio was so attentive. He was great. Shout out to Gregory too for getting us moved into a better air conditioned room. Finally to Lizairi...thanks for taking such great care of us and making sure we got to try all the restaurants.

Casa Marina Reef Resort: Merveilleux moment ! !! Superbe station !!

Wonderful time!! Great resort!! We were greeted when we arrived by the super friendly staff. Food was superb with a wide variety of choices. Rooms were nice and kept clean on a daily basis. We absolutely love our holiday and want to go back next year.

Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort: Pas encore tout à fait prêt

Bien qu'il s'agisse d'un très bel hôtel avec une cuisine extraordinaire, cet hôtel a besoin de travaux pour être considéré comme un 5 étoiles. L'hôtel avait un problème de moisissure et le boulevard n'était pas prêt, ce qui était décevant car c'était un argument de vente important pour nous. Il y a eu plusieurs problèmes mineurs comme des pannes de courant, des objets manquants dans la chambre et le manque de signalisation dans le complexe a rendu certaines choses difficiles. Not Quite Ready Yet While a very beautiful hotel with some amazing food, this hotel needs work to be considered 5 star quality. The hotel had a mould problem and did not have the boulevard ready which was disappointing since that was a big selling point for us. There were several minor problems like power outages, items missing in the room and lack of signage in the resort made some things difficult. The staff seemed overwhelmed trying to fix all problems so hopefully more staff will be hired soon.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: 3* au mieux

Les chambres étaient désuètes et vieilles. Les rideaux occultants étaient tout moisis. Nous avions un bureau mais pas de chaise. Il n'y avait pas de fer à repasser ni de table à repasser. Le coffre-fort coûte 16 dollars américains de plus. La piscine était parfois sale, il faudrait la nettoyer plus souvent.

3* at best The rooms were outdated and old. The black out curtains were all moldy. We had a desk but no chair. There were no irons or ironing boards. The safe is an extra $16 U.S. dollars. The pool was dirty sometimes, they need to clean it more often.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Un centre de villégiature d'un excellent rapport qualité-prix

Ce complexe est agréable, mais il n'est pas tout à fait nouveau. Les chambres sont agréables et propres, mais un peu vieillottes. La partie réservée aux adultes est très calme et relaxante. Les piscines sont très agréables et la nourriture est également très bonne. Le personnel de l'hôtel est sympathique et très arrangeant. Nous avons demandé une belle chambre et ils nous l'ont offerte avec une belle vue sur l'océan sans frais supplémentaires. Dans l'ensemble, je pense que c'est un très bon rap [... lire plus]port qualité-prix. Nombreux choix de restaurants. Belle plage. Complexe très bien entretenu. Personnel aimable et serviable. Les divertissements étaient très impressionnants au théâtre Palace. Le spectacle de Michael Jackson était incroyable ! Très bon rapport qualité/prix. Nous avons apprécié le fait de séjourner dans l'hôtel réservé aux adultes avec la possibilité d'utiliser l'ensemble du complexe. Il y a certainement plus d'action du côté du Palace, mais la paix et la tranquillité du côté réservé aux adultes sont incroyables ! Je recommanderais sans hésiter ce complexe.

Great value resort This resort is nice, however not exactly new. The rooms are nice and are clean, but a little dated. The adults only side is very quiet and relaxing. The pools are very nice and the food is pretty good as well. The resort staff are friendly and very accommodating. We asked for a nice room and they delivered with a beautiful view of the ocean at no additional cost. Overall I feel it is a very good value resort. Plenty of restaurant choices. Beautiful beach. Very well kept resort. Friendly and helpful staff. The entertainment was very impressive at the Palace theater. The Michael Jackson show was amazing! Great bang for your buck. We enjoyed staying at the adults only with the option to use the entire resort. There is deffinately more action on the Palace side, however the peace and tranquility on the adults only side is amazing! I would definately recommend this resort.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Super emplacement, excellent hôtel et personnel

Nous avons eu le plaisir de séjourner dans ce superbe hôtel la semaine dernière et ce fut vraiment génial et à la hauteur de nos attentes ! L'hôtel et l'emplacement les plus relaxants qui soient. Nous sommes des voyageurs fréquents dans cette grande région de Samana et c'était notre premier séjour dans ce très bel hôtel de l'île. L'hôtel, la plage et la plupart du personnel sont vraiment géniaux... il suffit de regarder les photos... Notre majordome Jose a vraiment rendu notre séjour très agr [... lire plus]éable et c'est une personne vraiment géniale qui avait toujours une idée d'avance sur nous et c'était comme s'il savait à l'avance ce que nous voulions pendant notre séjour... une personne vraiment spéciale et un atout et une personne vraiment précieuse pour cet hôtel ! Merci beaucoup Jose pour avoir rendu notre séjour si agréable. Une autre personne qui s'est vraiment démarquée est Eduardo, le principal barman du bar de la plage. Il est très gentil, très professionnel et il sait vraiment comment préparer de bonnes boissons et s'occuper de ses clients. Merci Eduardo ! Et n'oublions pas son équipe formidable composée d'Erickson, Martin et Angel ! Une équipe vraiment formidable et j'espère que l'hôtel reconnaîtra leur potentiel pour leur organisation. Les meilleures boissons et le meilleur service, haut la main ! Maintenant, venons-en au seul problème que nous avons eu dans cet hôtel vraiment unique et magnifique pendant notre séjour, qui a été très surprenant et même frustrant certains jours... une partie du personnel du buffet principal (soir), de la terrasse (spectacles du soir) et du restaurant de plage (déjeuner) a été très peu professionnelle dans son service (Important de noter qu'il’ s'agit d'une petite minorité très visible et non de la majorité des employés formidables et travailleurs). Pas de contact visuel, se cachant sur la terrasse pendant les spectacles et ne servant pas de boissons ou ne prenant pas de commandes...honnêtement parfois j'ai dû renoncer à des boissons ! Nous sommes de grands voyageurs et nous n'avons jamais entendu autant de fois, après avoir passé une commande, que "nous avons oublié" quand on nous demande où sont nos boissons. Et le pire, c'est que nous donnons des pourboires, mais il semble que certains membres du personnel se contentent de faire les malins ou de se cacher au lieu d'être actifs et de gagner des pourboires ! Nous ne citerons pas de noms car ce n'est pas notre travail de ruiner le gagne-pain des gens mais la direction devrait vraiment s'occuper de ce problème et même rétrograder certaines de ces personnes de l'interaction directe avec les clients ou les former à nouveau correctement... d'autres critiques parlent de ce problème comme d'un problème de langue mais ce n'est pas le cas.... c'est un problème de formation et de compétences humaines.... Ceci étant dit, nous reviendrons et nous espérons que la direction réglera ce problème.

Super Location, Great Hotel and Staff We had the pleasure of staying at this great hotel for the past week and it was really great and lived up to our expectations! One of the most relaxing hotel and location ever. We are frequent travelers to this great region of Samana and it was our first stay at this really beautiful island hotel. The hotel, beach and most of the staff are really great...just take a look at the pictures... Our butler Jose really made our stay super enjoyable and a really great person who was always one thought ahead of us and it was like he knew in advance what we wanted during our stay... really special person and a real valuable asset and person to this hotel! Thank you very much Jose for making our stay so enjoyable. Another person that really stood out was Eduardo the main bartender at the beach bar. Really nice guy, very professional and he really knew how to make great drinks and take care of his customers. Thank you Eduardo! And let's not forget his great team of Erickson, Martin and Angel! Really great team and I hope the hotel recognizes their potential for their organization. Best drinks and service hands down! Now let's get to the only issue we had at this truly unique and beautiful hotel during our stay which was very surprising and even frustrating on some days...some of the staff at the main buffet (evening), terrace (evening shows) and beach restaurant (lunch) was very unprofessional in their service (Important to note it’s a small but very visible minority and not the majority of the great and hard working employees). No eye contact, hiding at the terrace during shows and not serving drinks or taking orders...honestly sometimes I had to give up on drinks! We are frequent travellers and have never heard so many times after placing an order that “we forgot" when asking where are our drinks. And the worst part is that we tip but it seems some staff was just happy goofing around or hiding rather than being active and making tips! We won't name names since it's not our job to ruin people's livelihoods but management should really get on top of this issue and even demote some of these people from direct interaction with guests or re-train them properly...other reviewers refer to this issue as a language issue but it's not....it's a training and people skills issue... This being said we will be back and we hope that management will fix this issue.

Cet hôtel était très basique, pas très beau, le service n'était pas génial - nous avons eu quelques employés sympathiques dans la salle à manger, mais à part cela, ils n'étaient pas amicaux. La nourriture était bonne, mais pas de qualité 4 étoiles. Mon fils est tombé malade le dernier jour après avoir mangé le déjeuner. Il ne reviendrait pas. Et c'était vide, à peine quelques personnes enregistrées et beaucoup de Dominicains locaux. La salle de bain puait tous les soirs comme un égout refoulé, n [... lire plus]ous avons donc demandé à changer de chambre et la nouvelle chambre avait une pomme de douche cassée et une télévision cassée qui ne fonctionnait pas. Pas de fer à repasser dans la chambre et quand j'en ai demandé un, ils m'en ont apporté un qui ne fonctionnait pas. Vous devez payer pour le coffre-fort et le wifi dans votre chambre.

Definitely NOT a 4 Star This hotel was very basic, not that nice service was not great- we had a few nice staff in the dining area but other than that not friendly. Food was good, but not 4 star quality. My son got sick the last day after eating lunch. Would not return. And it was empty barely any people checked in and lots of local Dominicans. The bathroom stunk every night like backed up sewer so we asked to change rooms and the new room had a broken shower head and broken tv that didn’t work. No irons in the room and when I requested one they brought me one thy didn’t work. You have to pay for the safe lock and wifi in your room.
