Melia Marina Varadero: Un personnel formidable et une station magnifique !

Bel emplacement, belle station. Personnel très sympathique et arrangeant. Notre appartement de 2 chambres était incroyable. Notre seule plainte était que la nourriture aurait pu être un peu meilleure, et une section réservée aux adultes serait bien.

Amazing staff and beautiful resort! Nice location, beautiful resort. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Our 2 bedroom apartment was amazing. Our only complaint was the food could have been a little better, and an adults only section would be great.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Bon moment, mais le personnel a besoin d'un changement d'attitude

La station indique et nous avons payé pour une vue sur l'océan, mais il a été difficile de l'obtenir une fois sur place. Le personnel ne sourit pas et ne vous accueille pas. Les chaises sont rares autour de la piscine et de la plage. Ne séjournez que dans le nouveau bâtiment n°6. Le bon côté des choses. Le personnel de Sunwing a été d'une grande aide. La nourriture était excellente pour Cuba. J'aimerais que les gens apprennent les bonnes manières et l'étiquette du buffet. J'ai vu une femme casse [... lire plus]r du pain avec ses mains et laisser le reste de la miche. Un couteau se trouvait devant elle. Alors oui, je lui ai rappelé. Désolée, mais je ne veux pas que vos mains touchent ma nourriture. Le voyage à La Havane en valait la peine. Le spectacle au Tropicana ne m'a pas plu, mais la plupart des gens l'ont apprécié. La journée a été longue mais agréable. La plage est fantastique. Nous nous sommes fait beaucoup d'amis dans ce complexe. J'espère qu'ils amélioreront leurs chambres, alors j'y retournerai. Mais sans amélioration des chambres, je ne le ferais pas. Le prix ne justifie pas les chambres délabrées. Le bar à cigares et le piano bar étaient bien. La file d'attente pour les al carts était une perte de temps. Dans un complexe réservé aux adultes, vous devriez être en mesure de les réserver de manière plus efficace et de ne pas perdre votre précieux temps de vacances dans les files d'attente.

Good time but staff needs an overhaul in attitude The resort says and we paid for Ocean view, but it was fight to get once we were there . The staff do not smile or welcome you. Chairs are scarce around the pool and the beach. Only stay in the new #6 building. On the good side. Sunwing's staff was a great help. Food was excellent for Cuba. I wish people would learn some manners and etiquette on buffet manners. I actually saw a woman break bread with her hands and leave the rest of the loaf. A KNIFE was in front of her. So yes I reminded her. Sorry but I don't want your hands on my food. The trip to Havana was worth it. The show to Tropicana was not great for me but most enjoyed it. It was a long but good day. The beach is fantastic. We made many friends at this resort. I hope they upgrade their rooms , then i would go back . But with out improving the rooms, I would not. The price does not justify the run down rooms. The cigar bar and piano bar were good The line up for the al carts was just a waste of time. At an adult only resort you should be able to book these in a better fashion and not waste your valuable vacation time in lines.

Melia Las Antillas: Décevant

J'ai été très déçue par cet hôtel. Il n'était pas propre, mon lit sentait la moisissure, la porte de notre chambre ne fermait pas à clé même après l'avoir fait réparer deux fois, la nourriture était affreuse (mais c'est Cuba et il faut s'y attendre). Ils voulaient me faire payer 50 $ pour avoir laissé une serviette près de la piscine qu'ils ont dit avoir perdue, mais ils m'ont dit qu'ils en avaient trouvé trois autres qui avaient été laissées là la nuit précédente. Je ne retournerai pas dans cet [... lire plus] hôtel et ne le recommanderai jamais à mes amis.

Disappointing I was very disappointed in this hotel. It was not clean, my bed smelt like mould, our room door didn't lock even after having it fixed twice, food was awful(but it is Cuba and to be expected). They wanted to charge is $50 for leaving a towel by the pool that they said was lost but told me they had found three others that were left behind the night before. I would not return to this hotel and would never recommend it to my friends.

Melia Las Antillas: Très bon rapport qualité/prix

Le complexe est bien entretenu et le personnel est très sympathique. La plage est magnifique et l'une des meilleures que nous ayons connues. Notre chambre avait une vue magnifique et était très propre. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le bus en plein air qui nous a permis de nous rendre en ville.

Great Value The resort is well maintained and the staff we're very friendly. The beach was beautiful and one of the best we've been to. Our room had a wonderful view and was very clean. We really enjoyed our trip into town on the open air bus.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Grandes vacances

L'hôtel était très bien. La première chambre qu'on nous a donnée était affreuse mais on nous a mis dans une section plus récente après avoir parlé avec le personnel et cette chambre était charmante. C'était notre premier séjour à Cuba. La plage était incroyable, le personnel sympathique et la nourriture nous convenait. Nous y retournerons.

Great Holiday Hotel was very nice. Original room we were given was awful but we were put in a newer section after speaking with staff and that room was lovely. This was our first time to Cuba. The beach was amazing staff friendly and food was fine for us. We would go back again.

Starfish Cayo Largo: toujours belle

Nous y étions déjà allés une fois et nous avions adoré, c'est pourquoi nous y sommes retournés. Nous avons séjourné dans l'autre complexe mais nous avons préféré Sol Pelicano. Tout est autour de la piscine et il n'y a pas beaucoup de chemin à faire pour aller à la plage. Le terrain est magnifiquement entretenu. Les personnes qui y travaillent sont toujours utiles et très amicales en interagissant constamment avec les clients. La nourriture était délicieuse. Nous adorons les fruits de mer et nous [... lire plus] en avons mangé autant que nous le voulions. Dans l'ensemble, nous recommandons toujours Sol Pelicano à tout le monde et nous prévoyons d'y retourner dans un avenir proche.

always beautiful We were there once before and absolutely loved it that's why we went back. We stayed at the other resort but we preferred Sol pelicano. Everything is around the pool and don't have far to go to the beach. The grounds are all kept beautifully. The people who work there are always helpful and very friendly by constantly interacting with the guests. Food was very delicious. We loved seafood and had as much as we wanted. All in all we always recommend Sol pelicano to everyone and plan on going back in the near future.

Melia Santiago: Le seul hôtel décent de Santiago

Je m'attendais à beaucoup plus de la part de la chaîne hôtelière Melia, mais puisque nous parlons de Cuba, l'hôtel est certainement la meilleure option pour les voyageurs qui se rendent à Santiago. Les chambres sont fatiguées et les meubles datent. Les salles de bains sont moisies et l'eau du robinet est jaune avec une odeur âcre de terre. Le service est correct et le personnel est généralement amical, à l'exception des gardes de sécurité près des ascenseurs qui regardent tout le monde avec méfi [... lire plus]ance. La meilleure caractéristique de l'hôtel est la piscine qui est propre et généralement calme sauf lorsque les locaux envahissent les lieux. Dans l'ensemble, une expérience correcte.

The only decent hotel in Santiago I would expect much more from the Melia hotel chain but since we are talking about Cuba, the hotel is certainly the best option for travelers to Santiago. The rooms are tired with dated furniture. Bathrooms are moldy and the tap water is yellow with a pungent earthy smell. Service is decent and the staff is generally friendly with the exception of the security guards by the elevators who look at everyone with suspicion. The best feature of the hotel is the swimming pool which clean and generally quiet except when the locals invade the premises. Overall an ok experience.

Melia Cayo Coco: Voyager seul...

J'ai 26 ans et j'ai voyagé seul ici pendant une semaine à la fin du mois d'avril. Superbe complexe, les chambres sont usées si vous n'avez pas de suite. La nourriture était très bonne (j'ai été à Cuba plus de 10 fois et c'était certainement la meilleure). Je n'ai pas prêté beaucoup d'attention au personnel de divertissement, mais les spectacles étaient bien faits. Il faut aller à la plage tôt pour avoir de bonnes places ! Dans l'ensemble, j'ai passé un bon moment ; la plage est magnifique, c'es [... lire plus]t calme, sûr et relaxant (ce qui est exactement ce que je recherchais). La foule est plus âgée (40+) et il y a eu quelques mariages pendant que j'étais là. Dans l'ensemble, c'est un très bon voyage. Il y a une BEAUTÉ de plage lagunaire à environ dix minutes de marche à GAUCHE (si l'on fait face à la plage) et au-dessus du grand corail. Elle ne fait pas partie de l'hôtel, mais l'eau et le sable valent bien la promenade.

Travelling on my own... I'm 26 and I travelled on my own here for a week at the end of April. Great resort, rooms are worn down if you don't boom a suite. The good was very good (I've been to Cuba 10+ times and this was definitely the best). Entertainment staff I didn't pay much attention too but the shows were well done. Get to the beach early for good spots! Overall I had a good time; the beach is beautiful, it's quiet and safe and relaxing (which is just what I was looking for). Older crowd (40+) and a few weddings while I was there. Overall a great trip. There a BEAUTIFUL lagoon beach about a ten minute walk to the LEFT (if facing the beach) and over the big coral. Not part of the hotel but the water and the sand is well worth the walk.

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Belle station balnéaire

Semaine intéressante à Melia. Mon petit ami et moi sommes tombés malades. On ne sait pas trop ce qui s'est passé, mais on ne peut pas blâmer le centre de villégiature. Tout le monde était si amical ! La plage était belle ainsi que les piscines ! La nourriture était correcte. Nous avons fait l'excursion à la Havane, c'était incroyable. Il ne faut probablement pas manger de porc. On aurait pu être malade à cause de ça. Mais dans l'ensemble, l'hôtel est propre et agréable !

Nice resort Interesting week at Melia. Both my boyfriend and I got sick. Not sure of what cant blame the resort. Everyone was so friendly! Beach was nice so were the pools! Food was okay. We took the trip to Havana it was amazing. Probably shouldnt eat pork. Might of got sick because of it. But overall clean and nice resort!

Melia Buenavista: Petit, calme et beau

Nous avons adoré ce complexe pour sa taille et son emplacement. Les vues sont magnifiques, tout est à proximité et le terrain est bien entretenu. Superbe plongée en apnée juste à côté de la plage. Nous étions du côté de la piscine (le moins cher) et c'était comme si nous avions notre propre piscine près de notre patio. La nourriture était correcte mais pas excellente. Comme il s'agit d'un hôtel à la carte (pas de buffet), le choix était limité et les repas prenaient beaucoup plus de temps. L'aut [... lire plus]re point négatif de ce complexe est le manque de végétation. Il n'y a pratiquement pas d'arbres, pas d'ombre sauf sur les palapas difficiles à obtenir. C'est vraiment un endroit formidable, mais pour le prix, nous nous attendions à mieux.

Small, quiet and beautiful We loved this resort for its size and location. Beautiful views, everything is near and the grounds are well kept. Great snorkel just off the beach. We were on the pool side (the least expensive) and it was just like having our own pool by our patio. The food was OK but not great. Being an A la Carte resort (no buffets), the choices were limited and mealtime took much more time. The other negative point of this resort is the lack of vegetation. Hardly any trees, no shade except from the hard to get palapas. It really is a great place, but for the price, we expected more.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Étonnante station balnéaire !!!!!

Nous avons adoré cet endroit... le terrain est magnifique, les chambres sont grandes et propres (nous avons choisi le service royal qui est payant mais qui en vaut la peine)... la douche extérieure est incroyable, le personnel est courtois et arrangeant et la nourriture est bonne.

Amazing resort!!!!! We loved this place..the grounds were so beautiful,the rooms were big and clean(we chose the Royal Service which you pay extra but well worth it)...the outdoor shower is amazing,the staff is courteous and accommodating and the food is good.

Melia Cayo Coco: Melia Cayo Coco - Nice Resort

Nous avons séjourné au Melia Cayo Coco au début de l'année 2014, et nous nous sommes beaucoup amusés. On nous a dit que c'était un complexe 5 étoiles (pour les normes de Cuba), mais nous allons donner un 4. La nourriture et le service, comme d'habitude, étaient de premier ordre, avec des gens sympathiques fournissant un service impressionnant. Le complexe lui-même commence à montrer des signes de vieillesse et a besoin d'un peu d'amour. Nous avons passé la plupart de notre temps à la piscine car [... lire plus] il était difficile d'obtenir une place sur la plage, à moins de se lever très tôt et de donner un gros pourboire. De plus, l'un des jours où nous avons pu aller sur la plage, nous avons été inondés en raison des fortes vagues et des marées hautes (la plage est vraiment étroite). L'hôtel était censé être réservé aux adultes, mais la plage est partagée avec d'autres hôtels de la chaîne Melia, donc il faut prendre des risques. La chambre sur le Lagon était agréable, mais nous avons regretté la présence d'une baignoire dans la salle de bain. Nous avons eu quelques petits problèmes avec la chambre, mais il a suffi d'appeler la réception pour qu'ils soient résolus dans un délai raisonnable. Les spectacles nocturnes étaient excellents, l'un des meilleurs que nous ayons vus au cours de nos voyages dans le sud. Nous recommanderions ce complexe à nos amis car le service était excellent, il faut juste que les parties communes du complexe soient modernisées

We stayed at the Melia Cayo Coco in early 2014, and we enjoyed ourselves a lot. We were told this was a 5 star resort (for Cuba standards) but we will give this a 4. The food and service as usual was top notch, with friendly people providing awesome service. The resort itself is starting to show its age and needs some tender loving care. We spent most of our time at the pool as getting space on the beach was hard unless you got up very early and tipped heavily. As well, one of the days we made it on the beach we were flooded out due to the high surf and high tides (it is really narrow). This was supposed to be adults only, but the beach is shared with the other Melia chain resorts so take your chances. The room on the Lagoon was nice, but we missed having a tub in the washroom. We did have some minor deficiencies with the room but a quick call to the front desk and it was rectified within a reasonable amount of time. The night shows were excellent, one of the best we have encountered during our trips down south. We would recommend this resort to our friends as the service was excellent, just need to update the resort public areas

Paradisus Varadero: Un lieu de villégiature exceptionnel Un moment inoubliable

Station très bien entretenue, calme, beaucoup de choses à faire, emplacement parfait, personnel formidable, très accueillant et serviable, que je recommanderai à mes amis et à ma famille. J'y retournerai n'importe quand. Le service de Sunwing Airlines et de son personnel est également excellent !

Sol Varadero Beach: Excellente station

J'ai séjourné dans cet hôtel trois fois et j'y retournerai. L'hôtel est idéalement situé sur une section de la plage magnifique, bien que ce ne soit pas un nouvel hôtel, les chambres sont assez belles et offrent tout ce dont vous avez besoin. Le service est excellent et la nourriture est bonne.

Excellent resort I have been to this hotel 3 times and will return again. The hotel is ideally situated on a section of beautiful beach, although not a new hotel, the rooms are quite nice and offer everything you need. Service is great and food is good.

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Excellent centre de villégiature !

Ambiance très propre, sûre et amicale. L'agencement du complexe permet de se déplacer facilement et les terrains sont très bien entretenus. Il est très facile d'accéder aux transports locaux et à de nombreuses excursions. J'ai hâte d'y retourner l'année prochaine.

Great resort! Very clean, safe, friendly atmosphere. The lay out of the resort made it very easy to get around and the grounds were very well maintained. Very easy to access local transit and many excursions. Can't wait to go back next year.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Pour moi, il ne s'agit pas d'un hôtel 5 étoiles

Les chambres étaient bien, le personnel très aimable et serviable, le terrain bien entretenu, mais les toilettes des dames, à au moins 3 endroits différents, n'avaient pas de siège de toilette. Pour moi, c'est dégoûtant. Même après m'en être plaint, rien n'a été fait. D'après mon mari, les toilettes pour hommes étaient toutes très bien. Personnellement, je n'irai plus jamais dans cet établissement et je ne le recommanderai à personne. Cependant, je dois dire qu'après l'ouverture de la nouvelle s [... lire plus]alle à manger (qui était en cours de rénovation), lorsque nous y sommes allés, la nourriture était excellente. L'ouverture a été un grand événement et nous avons apprécié la fête d'ouverture. La plage n'est pas à plaindre, elle est très belle. Beaucoup de chaises de plage disponibles.

To me it did not qualify as a 5 star Resort The rooms were fine, the staff very friendly and helpful, the grounds well taken care of, but the toilets in the ladies facilities in at least 3 different places had no toilet seats. To me that is disgusting. Even after I complained about it, nothing was done. The men's washrooms were all fine, according to my husband. I personally would not ever go there again, and I would not recommended it to any one. All though I must say after the new dining room was opened, (it was under renovation) when we got there, the food was amazing. The opening was a great event. we enjoyed the opening party. The beach is nothing to complain about, very nice. Lots of beach chairs available.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Excellentes vacances au Paradisus Princesa Del Mar !

Nous avons passé des vacances extraordinaires au Paradisus Princesa Del Mar. Le service était impeccable, nous avons été traités comme de l'or par tout le monde, en particulier Pablo et Juan. Nous étions partis avec des attentes moindres concernant la nourriture, sur la base de ce que nous avaient dit des amis qui avaient visité d'autres complexes hôteliers à Cuba, mais ce complexe a complètement dépassé nos attentes. ! !!! La nourriture était incroyable, en particulier la soirée noir et blanc,  [... lire plus]c'était vraiment de la nourriture 5 étoiles ! Les plages étaient certainement l'une des meilleures que j'ai connues, la piscine était impeccable et nous n'avons jamais eu de problèmes pour obtenir des chaises. Le restaurant japonais est un must, super spectacle, super nourriture ! !! Dans l'ensemble, nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances et nous y retournerons sans aucun doute ! !!!

Excellent vacation at Paradisus Princesa Del Mar ! We had an amazing vacation at the Paradisus Princesa Del Mar. The service was impeccable, we were treated like gold by everyone especially Pablo and Juan. We initially went with lower expectations of food based on what friends who had visited other resorts in Cuba had told us, but this resort completely exceeded our expectations !!!! The food was amazing, especially the black and white night it was truly 5 star food !!! The beaches were definitely one of the best I've experienced, the pool was spotless and we never had any issues getting chairs. The Japanese restaurant is a must, great show, great food !!! All in all this was a great vacation and we will definitely go back !!!!

Tryp Cayo Coco: un bon récif pour la plongée avec masque et tuba juste devant l'hôtel

Les chambres sont vieillottes. Il faut se battre et donner des pourboires pour obtenir une réservation dans les restaurants de spécialités, mais si vous pouvez passer outre, c'est un endroit agréable. La plage est magnifique, les piscines et les terrains sont entretenus et propres et oh ! le Havana Club (demandez le noir) ! Parfois vous pouvez obtenir du cola light et parfois non, mais vous pouvez recevoir 2 canettes par jour dans votre mini-frigo et dans leur magasin vous pouvez obtenir un 2 li [... lire plus]tres pour environ 2,00 $.

a good snorkeling reef right in front of the hotel The rooms are dated. You have to fight and tip to get a reservation at the specialties restaurants, but if you can get past those things it is a nice place. The beach is beautiful, the pools and grounds are maintained and clean and oh! The Havana Club (ask for the dark)! Sometimes you can get diet cola and sometimes not, however you can get 2 cans delivered to your mini fridge daily and in their shop you can get a 2 litre for around $2.00.

Melia Las Dunas: Belle plage

L'hôtel était très bien ! Très propre, il n'y avait jamais trop de monde. Vous pouviez toujours trouver de la place à la piscine ou à la plage. La nourriture était correcte, ils ont manqué de quelques choses tout au long de la semaine, mais nous n'avons jamais eu faim. Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances et nous y retournerons certainement.

Beautiful beach Hotel was great! Very clean never felt crowded. You could always find space at the pool or beach. Food was ok, they did run out of a few thing through out the week but we never went hungry. We had a great vacation would definitely go back.

Melia Marina Varadero: Meilleur rapport qualité-prix à Varadero

J'ai fait ma part de recherches avant de choisir cet hôtel et cela en valait la peine. Varadero est chroniquement décrié dans les commentaires pour ses hôtels délabrés et sa mauvaise nourriture, donc séjourner au Melia Marina récemment ouvert (2013) a été une agréable surprise. C'est probablement l'un des meilleurs et des plus abordables hôtels 5 étoiles à l'extrémité de la bande. Les suites à une chambre sont VIVEMENT recommandées pour les familles qui veulent être à l'écart de l'action et les  [... lire plus]5-7 minutes de marche jusqu'au bâtiment principal (10 minutes jusqu'à la plage) sont tout à fait raisonnables. La nourriture est passable, mais il y a plus qu'assez de variété pour que vous puissiez composer une assiette décente des "plus grands succès" du buffet à chaque repas. Sur une échelle globale, je donnerais probablement 4 étoiles à cet hôtel, mais comme il s'agit d'un joyau dans le paysage de Varadero, je me devais de donner une évaluation complète de 5 étoiles. Séjournez dans cet hôtel dès que possible avant qu'ils n'augmentent les tarifs (et qu'il ne commence à se dégrader).

Best value for money in Varadero I did my fair share of research before choosing this hotel and it was worth it. Varadero is chronically maligned on reviews for having run down hotels and bad food, so staying at the newly opened (2013) Melia Marina was a pleasant surprise. It is probably one of the best and most affordable 5-star hotels in the far end of the strip. The 1-bedroom suites are HIGHLY recommended for families who want to be away from the action and the 5-7 minute walk to the main building (10 mins to the beach) is totally reasonable. The food is passable but there is more than enough variety for you to put together a decent plate of the buffet's "greatest hits" each meal. On a global scale I would probably give this resort 4-stars, but since this is such a jewel in landscape of Varadero I had to give the full 5-star review. Stay at this hotel as soon as possible before they raise the rates (and it starts getting run down).
