Riu Playa Blanca: Un centre de villégiature exceptionnel

Cet hôtel est extraordinaire. Les chambres sont très spacieuses et propres. Le terrain est très propre et il y en a beaucoup. La plage est agréable, mais comme elle se trouve sur l'océan Pacifique, l'eau et le sable sont foncés, ce qui contraste avec le bleu turquoise des eaux caribéennes. L'autre chose est qu'ils sont très amicaux une fois que nous avons commencé à leur parler/sourire, ce qui devrait peut-être être le contraire :) Il y avait de très bons divertissements jour et nuit. Nous avons également profité de quelques excursions d'une journée. Dans l'ensemble, je recommanderais cet hôtel à mes amis.

Amazing resort This hotel is amazing. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The grounds are kept really clean and they have a lot of it. The beach is nice, however, because it is on the Pacific Ocean, the water/sand is dark which is quite a contrast to the blue turquoise of the Caribbean waters.The dining room (buffet) is very nice and the food is out of this world. The a la cart restaurants have great food. We don't drink all that much, but the beer and red wine, which is local, were good.The staff is attentive. The only thing that is against them is that most of them speak very little English. The other thing is that they are very friendly once we started speaking/smiling to them first, which perhaps should be the other way around:) They had great entertainment day and night. We also enjoyed a few daytrips. Overall I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

Riu Playa Blanca: Légèrement déçu

Bien que j'aie passé un excellent séjour au Panama, l'hôtel Riu Playa Blanca n'a pas répondu à mes attentes. On m'a dit que les complexes Riu étaient les meilleurs ; cependant, le seul bon service a été fourni par les personnes en rouge et blanc qui s'occupaient des activités. Pour le reste, le service était inattentif et mal organisé. Je crois fermement que ce complexe n'a pas encore trouvé de chef pour diriger l'équipe avec succès. De même, les animations nocturnes auraient pu être un peu plus longues (comme annoncé). Dans l'ensemble, j'ai apprécié cette expérience et le pays, mais pas nécessairement le complexe. Slightly disappointed Although I had a great time in beautiful Panama, the Riu Playa Blanca resort did not meet my expectations. I have been told that the Riu resorts are the best; however, the only good service came from the activity people in red and white. Otherwise the service was inattentive and unorganized. I strongly believe this resort has yet to find a leader to direct the team successfully. The main concern was the smell of the room/pillows - when walking into the room it smelt moldy (in such humid weather I understand this) but the pillows also smelt like mild - very badly. Also the entertainment at night could benefit from being a bit longer (as advertised). Overall I enjoyed this experience and country but not necessarily the resort. Oh and the pools were quite disgusting

Riu Playa Blanca: Bon rapport qualité-prix

L'hôtel n'est pas un hôtel 5 étoiles mais c'est un bel hôtel. Très belle vue, personnel serviable et bonne nourriture au buffet et dans les restaurants. Beaucoup de choses à faire pour les jeunes enfants et les adultes, mais pas autant pour les adolescents, à part traîner sur la plage. Le personnel de l'hôtel devrait être plus au courant des activités à faire en dehors de l'hôtel. Le nouvel aéroport à 10 min de l'hôtel facilite le départ.

Good for price The hotel is not a 5 star hotel but it is a nice hotel. Very nice view, helpful people and good food at the buffet and the restaurants. Lots for young kids and adults to do not as much for teens, other than hanging on the beach. Hotel staff should become more versed on the activities to do outside of the hotel. New airport 10 min from hotel makes check out very easy.

Très bon hôtel, nourriture et service excellents ! Bonne plage mais malheureusement le drapeau rouge était levé la plupart du temps. Le service dans tous les restaurants était super bon. L'heure du spectacle était moyenne mais très amusante.

Very Good Very Good Resort, excellent food and service! Good beach but unfortunately the red flag was up most of the time I was there. Service at all of the restaurants was super good. The show time was average but lots of fun.

amazing resort Top quality service bad amazing view. Would definitely recommend it. The pools were spacious the staff was helpful and honest. The bartenders were enthusiast and the night life was to die for. My favorite restaurant on the resort was the steakhouse.

Le Royal DeCameron Beach Resort Panama en vaut vraiment la peine ! La nourriture est toujours bonne, les chambres sont propres et le complexe offre beaucoup de choses à faire. Je prévois déjà d'y retourner. Il y a beaucoup d'attractions dont on peut profiter.

Nous avons passé 8 jours très agréables dans ce complexe. Il est basé sur le Pacifique et bénéficie d'un temps magnifique, de 8 piscines différentes situées autour du complexe et d'une plage de sable fin. 11 restaurants différents - le petit déjeuner et le déjeuner sont des buffets avec une grande variété de plats différents qui sont excellents. Great Resort Enjoyed the 8 days at the resort. It is based on the pacific and has great weather and 8 different pools located around the complex plus very sandy beach.They offer nightly entertainment that is free - it is okay. 11 different restaurants - breakfast and lunch are buffet with a wide variety of different foods that are great. Some of the specialty restaurants are good; others okay. We played golf 4 times; nice golf course but hot. Staff are very pleasant.

Lorsque nous sommes arrivés après la tombée de la nuit, nous avons craint d'être arrivés dans un centre de vacances pour jeunes turbulents et nous avons eu peur d'avoir fait une grosse erreur. Le matin, lorsque nous nous sommes réveillés dans notre chambre relativement austère mais très propre, c'était merveilleux de voir le magnifique terrain de golf et toute la flore et la faune. Nous avions l'impression d'être un peu comme en Afrique, tellement c'est différent des Caraïbes. Le café fait d'exc [... lire plus]ellents expressos et cafés au lait pour commencer la journée. Nous nous sommes promenés sur le magnifique terrain, ce qui nous a permis de nous détendre. Il y a des arbres très impressionnants qui semblent tout droit sortis de Jurassic Park. Des oiseaux magnifiques, une longue plage avec des formations de sable uniques à l'extrémité sud. Un verre de vin sur la plage en regardant le coucher de soleil était un favori. la nourriture était assez bonne, en particulier la variété offerte. Les fruits et légumes locaux étaient délicieux. Ce n'est pas un lieu de villégiature pour une personne à mobilité réduite. Le climatiseur de notre chambre était parfait, nous avons très bien dormi. J'aimerais vraiment y retourner.

very satisfied When we arrived after dark we were worried that we had arrived at rowdy young persons resort and were afraid that we had made a big mistake. In the morning when we woke up in our relatively stark but very clean room it was wonderful to look over the beautiful golf course and all the flora and fauna. We felt like it was a little bit like being in Africa so different from the Caribbean. The café makes great espresso and latte to start the day. Walking around the beautiful grounds was very relaxing.There are some very impressive trees that look like they are right out of Jurassic Park. Beautiful birds, long long beach with very unique sand formations at the south end. Glass of wine on the beach watching the sunset was a favorite. the food was quite good, especially the variety offered. Local fruits and vegetables that were delicious. Not a resort for a person with limited mobility though. The airconditioner in our room was perfect, we slept very well. Would definitely love to go again.

Great Weather Grounds are lovely, but the number of stairs you have to climb are tough, language barrier with staff was frustrating. When we arrived we were not directed to our room location, took some time to find our room.

Grand Decameron Panama: Décevant

Impossible d'obtenir une boisson à 2 heures du matin. Les nuggets de poulet et les frites ne sont pas la nourriture à laquelle je m'attends dans un centre de villégiature. Les excursions proposées étaient mal organisées ; 50 personnes dans un bus avec un arrêt à un endroit où il n'y a qu'une seule salle de bain ; cela a pris plus d'une heure. Il faut compter plus de 3 heures de bus depuis l'aéroport de Panama City.

Disappointing Could not get a drink at 2:00 am. Chicken nuggets and french fries are not food I expect at a resort. Tours offered were poorly organized; 50 people on a bus with a rest stop at a location with one wash room; that took over an hour. It is 3hours+ by bus from the airport in Panama City.

Le personnel était courtois, les chambres étaient extrêmement propres, la nourriture était bonne, les boissons étaient bonnes. La plage était superbe, les divertissements nocturnes étaient excellents. Les excursions étaient formidables. Nous reviendrons certainement. J'ai beaucoup apprécié l'excursion sur le canal de Panama et les derniers jours passés au Hard Rock Cafe de Panama ont été extraordinaires. Nous avons fait un tour privé au Panama, ce que je recommande vivement aux gens de faire plu [... lire plus]tôt que de faire le tour en bateau.

Amazing place! Staff were courteous, rooms were extremely clean, food was good, drinks were good. Beach was great, nightly entertainment was great. Tours were amazing. Will definitely return. Really enjoyed the Panama Canal tour and spending our last few days at the Hard Rock Cafe in Panama were amazing. Did a private tour in Panama which I would totally recommend people do rather than the hop on hop off tour.

Grand Decameron Panama: Deuxième voyage aussi bon que le premier.

Le personnel a été très serviable, la nourriture excellente, l'hébergement excellent, le resort très bien entretenu, je le recommanderais à mes amis et à ma famille, le seul inconvénient a été le trajet de l'aéroport au resort, cela ne devrait plus être un problème depuis l'ouverture du nouvel aéroport en mai, j'espère vous revoir bientôt, merci .

Second trip as good as first. This was the second trip in 2 years ,and hoping to go back in 2015.Staff were very helpful ,food excellent ,accommodations excellent.Very well kept resort ,would recommend to friends and family,Only draw back was trip from airport to resort ,this should not be a problem any more since the new airport was opened in May.hoping to see you soon .Thank You .

Grand Decameron Panama: De superbes vacances !

Ma femme et moi avons visité le centre de villégiature à la fin du mois de mai. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Je vais essayer de résumer ce que nous avons trouvé au centre de villégiature. Avantages : - Belle plage, jamais trop fréquentée (pas de problème pour trouver des chaises longues, etc.) Il y avait un peu de courant et les vagues pouvaient être un peu plus grosses par moments, mais rien de comparable à d'autres stations balnéaires où nous sommes allés. Il était t [... lire plus]out à fait possible de nager dans l'océan. - Les colporteurs passent sur la plage mais ne nous ont jamais harcelés - Belles piscines, bien entretenues. Sauveteurs en service, nombreuses chaises longues, et la piscine réservée aux adultes dispose d'un bar de nage. - Nombreux restaurants et bars au choix - Excellent service dans les bars avec un grand choix de boissons glacées et un excellent café au bar du hall 1 - Spectacles nocturnes de qualité (spectacles bien chorégraphiés la plupart du temps) - La chambre en bord de mer était proche de tout - à recommander absolument si vous voulez éviter de monter ou descendre la colline et être à quelques minutes des restaurants, des bars et des divertissements - Les restaurants à la carte étaient généralement excellents. Les fruits de mer étaient fantastiques (en particulier les calamars) mais le bœuf avait tendance à être dur - La chambre a été gardée très propre par le personnel de ménage Inconvénients : - Barrière de la langue. L'hôtel s'adresse principalement aux touristes locaux (Panama, Colombie). Une grande partie du personnel ne parlait pas anglais. Nous nous sommes débrouillés avec l'espagnol que nous connaissions, mais pour ceux qui ne parlent pas espagnol, la barrière de la langue peut poser des problèmes. - Le buffet n'était pas le meilleur. Il n'était pas terrible et nous pouvions toujours trouver quelque chose à manger, mais il n'y avait souvent pas beaucoup de choix et, encore une fois, il était destiné aux locaux. - Le trajet jusqu'à la station est un peu long. Le trajet en bus dure environ 2 heures et bien qu'ils essaient de vous faire visiter les lieux au fur et à mesure, cela devient un peu long à la fin. L'aéroport situé juste à côté de la station devrait bientôt ouvrir, ce qui résoudra le problème. - Les divertissements étaient corrects, mais ils sont organisés en amphithéâtre (des gradins en béton) pour s'asseoir, ce qui fait que l'on en prend pour son grade après être resté assis pendant toute la durée du spectacle ! - Le réfrigérateur coûtait plus cher dans les chambres si vous en vouliez un, et plus encore si vous vouliez qu'il soit rempli (nous sommes allés dans d'autres stations dans les Caraïbes qui vous fournissaient au moins des boissons gazeuses et de l'eau froide dans les chambres). Il y avait cependant des bouteilles d'eau disponibles dans la chambre Dans l'ensemble, l'expérience a été excellente et nous la recommandons sans hésiter. Le prix était similaire à celui d'un complexe cubain moyen, mais la nourriture et la qualité étaient bien meilleures que ce que nous avons connu à Cuba.

Great vacation! My wife and I visited the resort in late May. Overall, my wife and I had a great stay. I'll try to summarize what we found at the resort. Pros: - Beautiful beach, never overly busy (no issues finding loungers etc). There was a bit of a current and the waves could get a bit larger at times, but nothing compared to other resorts we've been to. It was quite possible to swim in the ocean. - Peddlers will pass by on the beach but never harassed us - Beautiful pools, well maintained. Lifeguards on duty, plenty of loungers, and the adult only pool has a swim up bar. - Lots of restaurants and bars to choose from - Excellent service at the bars with a great frozen drink selection and excellent coffee at the bar by lobby 1 - Decent shows for night time entertainment (well choreographed performances most nights) - Beachfront room was close to everything - definitely recommend this if you want to avoid the walk up/down the hill and to be only a few minutes from restaurants/bars/entertainment - A la carte restaurants were generally excellent. Seafood was fantastic (especially calamari) but beef tended to be tough - Room was kept very clean by housekeeping Cons: - Language barrier. The resort is geared mostly towards local tourists (ie. Panama, Columbia). Many of the staff didn't speak any English. We were fine getting by with the Spanish we knew, but for anyone that doesn't speak any Spanish, the language barrier could cause issues. - Buffet wasn't the best. It wasn't terrible and we could always find something to eat, but there often wasn't a lot of selection and again it was geared towards the locals. - Trip to the resort is a bit long. It's roughly a 2 hour bus ride and although they try to give you a tour as you go, it gets a little long by the end. The airport right by the resort should be opening soon though so that will take care of this issue. - Entertainment was decent, but it's setup in an amphitheater style (tiers of concrete) for sitting so it takes its toll on you after sitting there for the duration of the show! - Fridge cost extra in the rooms if you wanted one, and if was more if you wanted it stocked with things (we've been to other resorts in the Caribbean that will at least provide you with pop/cold water in the rooms). There were however bottles of water available in the room still Overall, it was a great experience and we'd recommend it for sure. The price was similar to that of the average Cuban resort, but the food and quality was much better than what we've experienced in Cuba.

Les chambres n'étaient pas très propres. Mais les parties communes étaient superbes. Nous avons apprécié le restaurant, la nourriture et le personnel. C'était notre troisième séjour et ce n'était pas le meilleur. Certaines zones étaient fermées pour nettoyage pendant la semaine mais nous étions là ! !!

less than before The room were not that clean. But the public areas were great. We appreciated the restaurant, the food as well as the staff. It was our 3rd time there and it was not the best of it. Some areas were closed for clean in the week but we were there !!!

Le terrain et l'hôtel étaient bien entretenus. Les piscines et la plage étaient magnifiques. J'ai adoré le fait qu'en janvier, il faisait constamment plus de 30 degrés de chaleur. Beaucoup plus chaud que Cuba à cette époque de l'année. J'ai apprécié l'hôtel et je le recommanderais, mais il y a quelques points à noter : La nourriture était correcte mais pas excellente. L'aéroport est très éloigné de l'hôtel, il faut donc s'attendre à un long trajet. Le personnel s'occupe des clients hispanophones [... lire plus], je vous recommande donc de connaître un peu l'espagnol ou vous serez servi en dernier. Le personnel n'est pas aussi amical que dans d'autres centres de villégiature.

Great weather for winter time The grounds and hotel were well kept. The pools and beach were amazing. I love the fact that in January the heat was a consistent plus 30. Much warmer than Cuba at that time of year. I enjoyed the hotel and would recommend it but a few things to note: The food was ok but not great. The airport is a long distance from the resort so be prepared for a long ride. The staff catered to Spanish speaking guests so I recommend you know a little Spanish or you will be served last. Staff are not as friendly as I have experienced in other resorts.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au Decameron Golf and Beach Resort. Nous avons joué au golf tous les jours sauf un. Et nous sommes allés à la plage tous les jours également. Le transport des villas aux restaurants et à la plage était très efficace et toujours disponible. La nourriture était très bonne et bien pensée. Tous les employés du complexe étaient des personnes honnêtes, honnêtes et très intéressantes. Great get away! We had a great time at the Decameron Golf and Beach resort. We played golf everyday but one. And went to the beach every day too. The transportation from the villas to the restaurants and beach was very efficient, and always available. The food was very good and well thought out. All the employees at the resort were very genuine interesting honest nice people. We met many lovely people there and will remember the vacation we had there for a long time to come. Grand Decameron Panama: Royal Decameron Beach Resort

Comparé aux autres complexes hôteliers visités, le Royal Decameron Resort est plutôt un 3 étoiles. Le complexe est immense et situé sur une colline, ce qui ne convient pas forcément aux personnes ayant des problèmes de mobilité. Il y a un service de camionnettes, mais je l'ai trouvé peu fiable et j'ai dû marcher beaucoup. Les chambres et l'ensemble du complexe étaient propres et bien entretenus. Il y a plusieurs piscines et plusieurs endroits où l'on peut se restaurer. Je n'ai pas été impression [... lire plus]né par le buffet et les restaurants à la carte étaient tout juste corrects. Le personnel a besoin d'une formation en relations publiques. Les divertissements étaient typiques d'un complexe bas de gamme. Le personnel de l'hôtel, qui devait vous tenir occupé, n'a pas organisé les activités à temps. Après tous ces points négatifs, ce complexe était très bien pour son prix. La plage est superbe, tout comme la vue depuis la chambre.

Compared to other resorts visited the Royal Decameron Resort is pretty much a 3 star. The resort is huge and on a hill so may not be suitable for folks who have mobility issues. There is a van service but I found it unreliable so ended up walking a lot. The rooms and overall the resort was clean and well maintained. There are several pools and snack locations. I was not impressed with the buffet and the a la carte restaurants were just OK. The staff need some training in public relations. The entertainment was typical of a lower end resort. The resort staff that was to keep you busy pretty much did not run activities on time. After all the negatives - this resort was fine for the cost. The beach is great as are the views from your room.

Great place for all! A great resort with lots for all ages. Friendly staff and lots to see and do. The weather is perfect and the resort is clean and beautiful. The golf course is nice and the beach is long, you can walk for miles.
