Needs a lot of improvements A/C leaking Paint peeling off on the inside of bathtub String for hanging wet bathing suits missing Toilet clogged and leaking Some rooms are missing art on walls Fridges get refilled with beer on some days but not daily Housekeeping takes the towels away at 9am, doesn't bring new ones until 2 hours or so later. If you want to shower in the morning - good luck Beach towels aren't always available - some mornings we had to wait an hour - there was a huge line waiting for the towels Some rooms have recurring lock issues - either key cards don't open doors or on the 2nd or 3rd attempt The reservation line for dinner takes an hour to get through As we arrived for check in - an hour in line to get room key

Très agréable centre de villégiature

Belle plage propre et terrain impeccable. Beaucoup de bonne nourriture et un grand assortiment. Notre chambre était très bien située et très propre. Personnel très accommodant et amical. Pas loin de l'aéroport. L'enregistrement et le départ ont été très efficaces et rapides.

Excellent centre de villégiature !

Très bon complexe pour le prix. La nourriture était bonne, les boissons étaient bonnes et les trois chariots à bras étaient très bons. Grande plage de sable très facile d'accès - pas de rochers et pente douce. Nous avons pris une Junior Suite pour avoir une vue sur l'océan et nous éloigner de la piscine. Le centre de villégiature était très fréquenté Mais le service était quand même bon. Il n'y avait pas d'activités en mer et très peu de parasols.

Great resort! Great resort for the price. Food was good, drinks were good and all 3 a-la-carts were very good. Great sandy beach that was very easy to get into -no rocks and gentle slope. We did upgrade to Junior Suite to get oceanview and get away from the pool. The resort was very busy But the service was still good. There were no ocean activities and very few beach umbrellas.

Great resort Staff remember you and treat you like family. Everything is close ie pool, restaurants and beach. They always try to accommodate requests. Vendors are polite and not pushy. Security and lifeguard always on duty. Thank you to grand vantena for an amazing holiday and a special thank you to Beth at trip central for an easy booking experience as always

Excellent Resort

Très propre, le ménage était excellent. L'accès au lac était à une courte distance de marche. Toutes les commodités telles que les restaurants, les bars, les toilettes étaient facilement accessibles. Le personnel était aimable et serviable pour toutes les demandes. Notre demande de lit double a été acceptée. Nous étions au rez-de-chaussée et à quelques pas de n'importe quel endroit de la station.

Very clean, housekeeping was excellent. Lake access was a short walk away. All amenities such as restaurants, bars, washrooms were all easily accessible. Staff were personable and helpful with all requests. Our request for a King Bed was accepted. We were on the ground floor and only steps away from anywhere on the resort.

J'ai séjourné récemment avec un grand groupe d'amis. Les chambres étaient propres et lumineuses avec une excellente climatisation. La piscine et la plage étaient superbes. La plage est idéale pour de longues promenades sur du sable dur. La nourriture était excellente au buffet et dans tous les ala carts. Le plus important est que le personnel était incroyablement amical et accommodant. Je reviendrai sans aucun doute et je le recommanderai à mes amis et à ma famille.

Great resort Stayed recently with a large group of friends. Rooms were clean and bright with excellent a/c. Pool and beach areas were great. Beach is great for long walks on nice hard sand. Food was excellent in the buffet area, and all of the ala carts. Most importantly the staff were amazingly friendly and accommodating. Will definitely return, and will recommend to friends and family.

Un personnel formidable

Le personnel a été très serviable. Nous avons dû changer notre chambre du dernier étage au rez-de-chaussée car nous avions un bébé dans une poussette. Cela a pris 4 jours mais après cela nous avons passé un très bon moment. nous avons dû aller déjeuner en dehors du resort parfois pour un meilleur repas. ils ont beaucoup de nourriture mais la plupart des plats n'étaient pas à notre goût. ce qui est bien c'est qu'ils avaient des stations d'omelette et des viandes grillées. Great Staff The staff was very helpful. We had to change our room from the top floor to the ground floor as we had a baby in a stroller. took 4 days but after that we had a great time. we had to go for lunch off the resort sometimes for a better meal. they have lots of food but much of the dishes weren't to our tastes. the great thing is that they had the omelette stations and grilled meats. The water was a bit too wavy most days for a nice swim. but the long beach is just gorgeous beautiful beach

Fantastic Stay! Spent the last week at Gran Ventana and loved this hotel. Have already recommended to others and will visit again. The food is great along with the incredible the staff at the buffet; Rosa and Felix gracias xo Check-in was smooth, the grounds are spotless the room always clean. Love the beach! VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort

Nous avons trouvé l'hôtel propre, les chambres étaient propres et bien nettoyées tous les jours et le terrain était bien entretenu. Le personnel était amical et serviable pour tous les besoins. Le choix du buffet était bon et les restaurants à la carte étaient très exceptionnels, The Ocean Grill, Octopus et Italian. La piscine était calme et facile d'accès. La plage est propre, avec de nombreuses chaises longues et très longue pour les promenades du matin ou de l'après-midi. Found the resort clean , the resort rooms were clean and well cleaned daily and the grounds were well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful for any needs. The selection at buffet was good and a la carte restaurants were very exceptional , The Ocean Grill ,Octopus and Italian . The pool was quiet and easy to access. Nice clean beach area with many lounger chairs and very long for morning or afternoon walks. Found the price right for the value and would/will recommend this resort to everyone I know looking for a nice place to vacation in the Caribbean. Will be returning.

TRÈS BONNE STATION

En général, la station fonctionne bien. Sur la plage, on a l'impression d'être sur le marché commercial mobile, je comprends que c'est important pour la communauté locale mais cela devrait être plus limité d'une manière ou d'une autre Par ailleurs, je reviens d'un voyage d'affaires, ce qui nuit beaucoup à l'impression de voyage,

VERY GOOD RESORT In general resort run well. On the beach you feel that you are on the mobile commercial/ market,,,I understand that it is important for local community but it should be more limited some how? Under wise I am coming home from bussness trip,,,it damage impression of the trip very much,,,

Le fait que l'hôtel soit plus petit rend l'expérience très agréable pour aller de la chambre à la plage, de la nourriture au bar... Le service de taxi pour le centre-ville se trouve à la porte d'entrée, un trajet rapide de 10 à 15 minutes. Le personnel était très sympathique et des félicitations spéciales ont été adressées à Rosa, Felix et Adrian pendant le service du petit déjeuner et du déjeuner. Rosa le soir et les deux barmans Andrea et Richardo ! Nous avions une suite junior avec vue  [... lire plus]sur l'océan, au 3ème étage. Beaucoup d'espace, une salle de bain avec une bonne pression d'eau et de l'eau chaude ! La plage était superbe et on pouvait y faire de la plongée avec masque et tuba. La nourriture était incroyable ! L'un des membres de notre groupe a des sensibilités et des allergies alimentaires et il y avait toujours beaucoup d'options (et savoureuses) ! Toutes les plages de la République démocratique du Congo sont publiques, il faut donc s'attendre à des vendeurs. La politesse est de mise ! Nous y retournerions certainement, mais il n'y a malheureusement pas de vols directs vers POP depuis YWG. Nous sommes partis de Toronto. De l'aéroport POP à la station ~30 minutes avec les embouteillages.

Lovely resort, would go back ! The smaller footprint makes for a very enjoyable experience getting from room to beach to food to bar... The taxi service to downtown is at the front door an a quick 10-15 minute trip. The staff was very friendly and special shout outs to Rosa, Felix and Adrian during breakfast/lunch service. Rosa in the evening and the two bartenders Andrea and Richardo! We had a junior suite - that overlooked the ocean - 3rd floor. plenty of space, bathroom had great water pressure, and hot water! Beach was great and ok to snorkel. Food was amazing! One of our party has food sensitivity and allergies and there was always plenty (and tasty) options! All beaches in the DR are public, so be prepared to have vendors. Being polite goes a long way! We would definitely go back, unfortunately there are no direct flights schedule to POP from YWG. We departed from Toronto. From the POP airport to the resort ~30 minutes with traffic.

Rien à redire !

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au Grand Ventana ! Mon petit ami et moi y avons passé 4 nuits. C'était un séjour très relaxant et agréable. L'hôtel est très propre, la nourriture est bonne. Le personnel était formidable ! Nous recommandons vivement de faire un tour avec Jose sur le catamaran.

No complaints! We had an amazing time at Grand Ventana! My boyfriend and I spent 4 nights there. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Very clean resort, food was good. Staff was amazing! Highly recommend taking a ride with Jose on the catamaran.

Excellent séjour à Gran Ventana

J'y ai séjourné avec mes enfants adolescents (19 et 15 ans). Nous avions deux chambres séparées, côte à côte. Les chambres étaient bien aménagées, bien qu'un peu vieillies et pourraient être mises à jour bientôt, si le complexe n'est pas transformé en un développement de condo comme beaucoup de complexes précédents à Playa Dorada. Nous avons adoré la compacité du complexe - juste la bonne taille, la courte distance de l'aéroport et la proximité de Puerto Plata. Le restaurant buffet et le snac [... lire plus]k-bar offraient une très bonne variété. Les 3 restaurants à la carte étaient également très bons et offraient une ambiance agréable. Nous avons passé des heures chaque jour à jouer au volley-ball dans la piscine. Les divertissements étaient également très bons. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons passé une semaine formidable grâce à un personnel merveilleux. Je ne suis pas douée pour les noms, mais Amoury et Rosa se sont distingués. Les animateurs de la piscine étaient eux aussi très sympas. Je reviendrai certainement !

Great stay at Gran Ventana I stayed there with my teenage kids (age 19 and 15). We had 2 separate rooms, side by side. The rooms were well appointed, although a bit aged and could be due for an update soon, if the resort is not changed to a condo develooment like many of the prior resorts in Playa Dorada. We loved the compactness of the resort - just the right size, it's short distance from the airport, and the proximity to Puerto Plata. The grounds looked great, the pool was very nice and the beach was great.The buffet restaurant and the snack bar combined offered a very good variety. The 3 a la carte restaurant were very good as well, and they offered a nice ambience. We spent hours each day playing volleyball in the pool. The entertainment was really good as well. Altogether we had a great week there thanks to the wonderful staff. I am bad with names, but Amoury and Rosa stood out. The pool entertainment guys and gals were fun as well. I would certainly return!

Meilleure station

Nous sommes allés dans ce complexe environ 5 fois, il est très facile de s'y déplacer, il n'est pas trop grand, Le personnel est très amical et serviable, la nourriture est incroyable, nous adorons manger. La plage est propre et magnifique. J'aime le fait que tous les mercredis, ils organisent une fête blanche (apportez quelque chose de blanc à porter si vous le souhaitez), où ils présentent tout leur personnel extraordinaire, et ils font quelques tirages au sort (de beaux prix), nous avons ga [... lire plus]gné un couple massage??. Bravo à Solange (au service clientèle) qui a été très serviable et arrangeante pour un petit problème que nous avons eu avec notre chambre. Il est certain que nous y retournerons bientôt, et nous adorons leur équipe de divertissement

Best Resort We have been to this resort about 5 times, it’s very easy to get around, not too big, The staff are very friendly and helpful, the food is amazing, we love to eat. The beach is clean and beautiful. Love that every Wednesday, they have a white party, (bring something white to wear if you like), where they introduce all their amazing staff, and they have a couple of draws, ( nice prizes), we won a couples massage❤️ shout out to Solange(in customer service) who was very helpful and accommodating with a minor issue we had with our room. Definitely going back soon, and love their entertainment staff

Un centre de villégiature extraordinaire ! La nourriture est délicieuse et variée, le personnel est sympathique et il y a beaucoup d'activités à faire. La décoration est un peu démodée, j'aurais aimé qu'il y ait un long miroir dans la chambre. La piscine est agréable, la plage est toujours venteuse, on ne peut pas en profiter.. Sinon, je n'ai rien à redire et j'ai vraiment apprécié mon séjour

Cozy and welcoming Resort Amazing Resort! Delicious food with plenty variety, friendly staff and lots of activities to do. Decor is a bit outdated, I wish they had a long mirror in the room. Le personnel était très gentil, la chambre était très propre, les stocks étaient constants, la nourriture était excellente, et dans l'ensemble, c'est un excellent complexe si vous cherchez à vous détendre ou à vous amuser, il y avait des parties calmes du complexe, mais il y avait aussi des fêtes tous les soirs qui étaient facultatives et ne vous interrompaient pas si vous vouliez vous détendre.

Great! The staff were super kind all around, the room was kept very clean, restocks were consistent, food was amazing, and overall a great resort if you’re looking to relax, or have fun, there was quiet parts of the resort, but there was also parties every night that were optional and didn’t interrupt if you wished to relax.

5 Star Resort

C'était notre deuxième séjour à VH Gran Ventana et nous nous sommes sentis comme à la maison ! Nous avons revu quelques amis de l'année dernière, nous nous sommes fait de nouveaux amis et nous nous sommes détendus pendant toute une semaine. Les chambres sont propres, la plupart des clients sont des adultes, la piscine et la plage sont toujours propres, le personnel est très amical et prêt à tout aider, la nourriture est de première qualité et le personnel de service est incroyable. La fête bla [... lire plus]nche pour les clients qui reviennent est incroyable. Je ne peux pas dire assez de bien de ce centre de villégiature.

This was our second time at VH Gran Ventana and it felt like home! We saw a few friends from last year, made some new friends and relaxed for a whole week. The rooms are clean, mostly adult guests, the pool area and beach are always clean, the staff is very friendly and will help with anything, the food is top class, and the wait staff is amazing. The white party for return guests is unbelievable. Can't say enough good things about this resort.
