Ce complexe est absolument magnifique. Le personnel est plein de vie et s'empresse de vous aider de quelque manière que ce soit. La nourriture est très bonne et bien présentée. C'était une escapade géniale et inoubliable !

Class resort This resort is absolutely gorgeous. The staff if full of life and were swift to ensure that they could assist you in anyway. The food I'd very good and well presented. This was a awesome and unforgettable get away!

Je viens d'arriver à l'hôtel Gran Bahia Principe il y a quelques heures, c'est la deuxième fois que nous venons dans ce complexe. Nous étions ici pour le réveillon du nouvel an en 2012 et nous avons adoré, nous avons pensé que nous voudrions faire un mariage dans cet hôtel, donc un mois avant de venir, je leur ai envoyé un e-mail leur disant que j'étais un client de retour et que j'envisageais de me marier là-bas et qu'il serait possible que nous parlions avec quelqu'un pendant que nous étions l [... lire plus]à pour la semaine pour savoir ce que cela impliquait, et bien sûr le coût d'avoir un mariage dans cet endroit, est-ce que tout le monde réserve avec la même compagnie de voyage ? ECT Quoi qu'il en soit, ils n'ont jamais répondu à mon e-mail, alors lundi, cette semaine avant de venir, je l'ai renvoyé et j'ai demandé s'ils l'avaient reçu, toujours pas de réponse...... Nous nous sommes enregistrés comme je l'ai dit il y a quelques heures et ma chambre est pire que la dernière fois que j'étais ici. Je n'ai pas réalisé ou ne me suis pas souvenu que nous devions payer pour le coffre-fort de la chambre, alors je suis allé à la réception pour payer et, juste pour le plaisir, j'ai mentionné à l'employée que je pensais qu'en tant que client de retour, j'aurais pu obtenir une meilleure chambre, elle m'a informé que dans cet hôtel, vous devez revenir au moins 3 ou 4 fois avant d'obtenir des améliorations. évidemment, nous ne nous marierons pas ici....et d'ailleurs, nous ne cherchions rien de gratuit, juste une liste de prix ou quelqu'un pour expliquer comment se déroule un mariage dans un lieu, lol, je le reverrai après notre départ. Nous sommes de retour à la maison maintenant, Nous sommes de retour à la maison, Commençons par le surclassement Don Pablo "Adults Only". Si vous achetez le forfait Don Pablo, vous êtes logé dans la section la plus récente de l'hôtel, vous utilisez gratuitement le coffre-fort de la chambre, vous bénéficiez du service en chambre, d'un restaurant exclusif Don Pablo, d'une zone privée à la piscine avec des chaises longues, des serviettes et des cabanas toutes neuves, d'un service de serveur (en tissu) au bord de la piscine, d'un bar et de toilettes privés au bord de la piscine, d'une zone de divertissement privée le soir avec des chanteurs et des artistes et d'une zone privée à la plage avec des serviettes, des chaises longues et un bar de plage tout neufs. Quand je dis "privé", je veux dire que seules les personnes qui ont acheté le forfait "Don Pablo" peuvent l'utiliser. Si vous n'avez pas eu le surclassement Don Pablo comme moi (c'était le même prix pour le surclassement avec vue sur l'océan ou Don Pablo bien que la plupart des chambres dans le bâtiment Don soient avec vue sur l'océan, certaines se trouvant aux niveaux inférieurs), voici ce que j'ai eu....... La pression de l'eau était excellente, le seul problème était que la porte de la douche ne fermait pas correctement et que l'eau allait partout si vous ne faisiez pas attention, il n'y avait pas de Red Stripe dans le frigo mais de la Carib, une bière de Trinidad, je pense que c'est la pire bière que j'ai jamais bue, le lit était si inconfortable que je me levais toutes les deux heures et j'ai encore mal au dos, la femme de chambre a très bien nettoyé la chambre, je n'ai pas à me plaindre, ma chambre était dans l'aile 2 qui donne sur la zone Don, que je n'ai pas pu utiliser, j'ai dû passer par le restaurant Don (on m'a dit qu'on ne pouvait pas manger ici, pas "Don") pour aller à l'autre buffet, j'ai dû passer par les cabanas de la piscine "Don" pour aller à la zone de la piscine que nous pouvions utiliser. les chaises longues sont les mêmes qu'en 2012, elles sont en mauvais état, affaissées, sales, déchirées et tachées. Nous n'avons pas pu obtenir de serviettes de piscine pendant deux jours, finalement le troisième jour nous sommes allés à la première heure et en avons obtenu, si vous n'allez pas à la première heure, ils sont à court de serviettes à 10 heures (ils ouvrent à 9) Il a plu plusieurs fois pendant que nous étions ici et le hall principal fuyait partout, des seaux pour recueillir l'eau partout, un morceau de cloison sèche est tombé du plafond juste à côté de l'endroit où il y avait un lustre suspendu et l'eau dégoulinait maintenant du lustre avec les lumières encore allumées, l'hôtel a besoin de mises à niveau (peinture, tapis, imperméabilisation, hydro ECT exposée. Le divertissement nocturne ne valait pas la peine d'être regardé, très amateur avec un mc très ennuyeux. La nourriture était moyenne mais la même tous les jours au buffet, vous pouvez vous asseoir à l'extérieur pour manger et je le recommande, Elton le serveur était un gars génial, un excellent service, drôle et très attentif, il s'est souvenu de nos noms après ne l'avoir dit qu'une seule fois. Ils n'ont toujours pas répondu à mes e-mails, bien qu'ils aient répondu à ma critique de Trip Advisor que j'ai écrite quand nous sommes arrivés, me demandant d'aller parler au directeur ou quelque chose de ce genre, je ne pense pas que je devrais avoir besoin de parler au directeur pour obtenir une réunion avec le coordinateur de mariage (je leur ai envoyé un e-mail) ou avoir à supplier pour un surclassement gratuit parce que je suis un client qui revient (mentionné dans les e-mails que j'ai envoyés), je me demande s'ils auraient répondu à mon e-mail si j'avais obtenu un surclassement à Don Pablo. Si vous comptez séjourner dans cet hôtel, vous devriez acheter le surclassement Don Pablo, à moins que vous ne vouliez être traité comme de la racaille pendant vos vacances. C'est exactement ce que nous avons ressenti pendant toute la semaine.

Guess we are not getting married here Just checked into the Gran Bahia Principe a couple of hours ago, this is our second time coming to this resort. We were here for new years eve in 2012 and loved it, we thought we would want to do a location wedding at this hotel so a month before we were coming I sent them an email telling them I was a returning guest and thinking of getting married there and would it be possible that we speak with someone while we were there for the week to find out what was involved, and of course the cost of having a location wedding, does everyone book with the same travel company? ECT Anyway they never replied to my email so on Monday this week before coming I resent it and asked if they had received it, still no reply...... We checked in like I said a couple of hours ago and my room is worst then the last time I was here. Didn't realize or remember that we need to pay for room safe so I went to the front desk to pay and just for fun mentioned to the employee that I thought being a returning guest I might of gotten a better room, she informed me that at this hotel you have to come back at least 3 or 4 times before you get any upgrades. obviously we won't be getting married here....and by the way we weren't looking for anything for free, just a price list or someone to explain how location wedding go, lol, I will review it after we leave. We are back home now, We are back home now, Let me start with the Don Pablo "Adults Only" upgrade. If you get the Don Pablo package you get to stay in the newest section of the hotel, free use of in room safe, you get room service, a Don Pablo exclusive restaurant, a private area at the pool with brand new lounge chairs, towels and cabanas, (cloth) waiter service at the poolside, a private poolside bar and washrooms, a private entertainment area at night with live singers and performers and private section off areas at the beach with new towels lounge chairs and beach bar. When I say private I mean only the people that purchased the "Don Pablo" package get to use it. Now if you didn't get the Don Pablo upgrade like me (it was the same money to upgrade to ocean view or Don Pablo although most of the rooms in the Don building are ocean view some are on the lower levels) this is what I got...... My room Ok nothing special had to pay for room safe $8 per day water pressure was excellent only problem was that the shower door didn't close proper and water went everywhere if you weren't carful, not Red Stripe in fridge but Carib, a beer from Trinidad, I think it was the worst beer I ever drank, the bed was so uncomfortable that I was up every couple hours and my back is still aching, maid did great job cleaning room, no complaints there, my room was in wing 2 which overlooks the Don area, that I couldn't use, I had to walk by the Don restaurant (was told can't eat here not "Don") to get to the other buffet, had to walk by the "don" poolside cabanas to get to the pool area that we could use. the lounge chairs are the same ones that were here in 2012 they are in rough shape, sagging, dirty, torn, and stained. We couldn't get pool towels for two days, finally on the third day we went first thing and got some, if you don't go first thing they run out of towels by 10am (they open at 9) It rained a couple times while we were here and the main lobby was leaking everywhere, buckets to catch water all over, a piece of drywall fell from the ceiling right by where there was a chandelier hanging and water was now dripping from the chandelier with the lights still on, hotel needs upgrades (paint, carpet, waterproofing, exposed hydro ECT. Nightly entertainment wasn't worth watching very amateurish with a very annoying mc. Food was average but same everyday at buffet, you can sit outside to eat and I recommend it, Elton the waiter was a great guy, great service, funny and very attentive, remembered our names after only telling him once. They still haven't answered my emails yet although they did reply to my trip adviser review that I wrote when we got here, asking me to go talk to the managers or something of that nature, I don't think that I should need to talk to the manager to get a meeting with wedding coordinator (emailed them) or have to beg for free upgrade because I'm a returning guest, (mentioned in the emails I sent) I wonder if they would have answered my e-mail if I had upgraded to Don Pablo. If you are going to stay at this hotel you should buy the Don Pablo upgrade unless you want to be treated like riffraff on your vacation. Which is exactly how we felt the whole week.

J'écrirai des conseils que d'autres voyageurs trouveront utiles. Hôtel - propre et beau. L'hôtel est bien conçu. Tout est facilement accessible. Le hall dispose d'un magnifique espace pour s'asseoir et l'ensemble est très accueillant. Il est évident que le personnel est fier de garder les lieux bien entretenus. Chambres - propres et spacieuses. Nous n'avons pas passé beaucoup de temps dans la nôtre, mais je n'ai pas vraiment à me plaindre. La seule chose que j'ai remarquée, c'est que le bruit  [... lire plus]peut circuler dans les couloirs. Nourriture - Incroyable ! Rien à redire. Grande variété d'options. Le petit-déjeuner était un must. Tous les plats à la carte étaient délicieux. Ne manquez pas le buffet du jeudi soir, car il y a du homard ! Boissons - Délicieuses. Je ne pense qu'à des bananes sales et des cocos locos ! Plage - paisible et tranquille. Nous n'avons pas trouvé qu'elle était surpeuplée, la plupart des gens semblant rester autour de la piscine. Le seul reproche que j'aurais à faire est le nombre de fois où l'on m'a demandé un cadeau de bienvenue et où l'on m'a demandé de participer à une réunion de bienvenue. Parfois, on m'abordait 4 fois par jour, ce qui devenait irritant. Dans l'ensemble, j'ai passé un excellent séjour, je recommanderais l'hôtel à d'autres personnes et j'y retournerais.

I will go back ! I will write tips that other travellers would find useful. Hotel - clean and beautiful. The hotel is well designed. Everything is easily accessible. The lobby has a wonderful seating area and the overall feel is very welcoming. It is evident the staff takes pride on keeping the grounds well maintained. Rooms - clean and spacious. We didn't spend much time in ours but I don't really have any complaints. The one thing I noticed is the noise can travel in the hallways. Food - Amazing! No complaints here. Wide variety of options. Breakfast was a must. All the a la cartes we went to were delicious. Make sure you don't miss Thursday night at the buffet as they have lobster! Drinks - Delicious. All I can think about is more dirty bananas and coco locos! Beach - peaceful and quiet. We did not find it overcroweded at all as most people seemed to hang around the pool. The only complaint I would have is the amount of times I was asked about a welcome gift and attending a welcome meeting. Sometimes I was approached 4 times per day which got irritating. Overall though, I had a great trip, I would recommend the hotel to others and I would go back.

Excellente nourriture, divertissement terrible

magnifique complexe, vaut vraiment la peine d'être surclassé dans la section luxueuse de Don Pablo. Les plats à la carte illimités font toute la différence. excellent food, terrible entertainment beautiful resort, definitely worth upgrading to luxury don Pablo section. unlimited a la cart's made all the difference. Service often slow, majority of staff unfriendly, poor nightly entertainment and major insect bites. Do not stay on first floor.

LES 4 RESTAURANTS PEUVENT FACILEMENT AVOIR UNE PERSONNE AVEC UNE GUITARE OU UN VIOLON QUI FAIT LE TOUR DES TABLES POUR CRÉER UNE AMBIANCE ROMANTIQUE AVEC LE COUCHER DU SOLEIL. POUR CE QUI EST DES ANIMATIONS EN SOIRÉE, ILS ONT 20 ANS DE RETARD. UN INCIDENT MALHEUREUX QUE J'AI TROUVÉ TRÈS MAUVAIS DE LA PART DE LA DIRECTION. MA FEMME A FAIT UNE MALENCONTREUSE ET GRAVE CHUTE DANS UNE SALLE À MANGER EN SE COGNANT LA TÊTE CONTRE LE SOL EN MARBRE (LE SOL ÉTAIT GLISSANT À CAUSE DE L'HUILE). LA RÉACTION IMMÉDIATE DU PERSONNEL DE LA SALLE À MANGER A ÉTÉ ÉTONNANTE : ILS ONT FOURNI DE LA GLACE ET ONT MÊME APPORTÉ UNE CHAISE ROULANTE ET ONT MÊME VOULU APPELER UNE INFIRMIÈRE APRÈS QUINZE MINUTES DE NOTRE DÉPART. MAIS NOUS N'AVONS PAS EU DE RÉPONSE DE LA DIRECTION LE LENDEMAIN POUR SAVOIR SI TOUT ALLAIT BIEN. TRÈS DÉÇU MA DEUXIÈME CONSTERNATION A ÉTÉ LE COÛT D'UN MASSAGE 120 DOLLARS POUR 50 MINUTES. JE VAIS ÊTRE CRITIQUE, MON ARGUMENT EST LE SUIVANT : LE SALAIRE MINIMUM À MONTRÉAL EST DE 10 $ : LE SALAIRE MINIMUM À MONTRÉAL EST DE 10,10 DOLLARS DE L'HEURE ET NOUS PAYONS ENVIRON 75 DOLLARS POUR UN MASSAGE D'UNE HEURE. CELA N'A PAS DE SENS. SI LE PRIX AVAIT ÉTÉ DE 50 $, MA FEMME ET MOI AURIONS EU DROIT À DEUX HEURES CHACUN. CELA REPRÉSENTE 200 DOLLARS DE REVENUS POUR L'HÔTEL CONTRE 0. J'AI VÉRIFIÉ LES TARIFS POUR LE MOIS DE FÉVRIER ET JE LES AI TROUVÉS EXAGÉRÉS. POUR LE MEME PRIX, JE PEUX PASSER CES DEUX SEMAINES N'IMPORTE OU EN AMERIQUE DU SUD. MERCI JACK KALAYDJIAN

CONTENT, SATISFIED, WILL RETURN THE HOTEL HAS OVER 800 ROOMS ON 5 FLOORS. THE ROOMS WERE CLEAN ANS SPACIOUS. THE GROUNDS WERE WELL TAKEN CARE. THERE WERE 4 RESTAURANTS APART THE LARGE AND SMALL BUFFET STYLE DINING ROOMS . THE SNACK BAR ON THE BEACH WAS HEAVENLY.OUT OF THE 4 ( NON BUFFET ) RESTAURANTS CONSIDERING QUALITY OF FOOD AND SERVICE 1 RATED (A) 2 RATED (B) AND 1 RATED (C) THE LARGE BUFFET DINING ROOM IS LIKE ALL OTHER RESORTS A ZOO PEOPLE OVER DISHING THEIR PLATES A LARGE SELECTION OF FOOD TO MATCH ALL PALATES AND OBVIOUSLY VERY NOISY.HOWEVER, THE SMALLER DINNING ROOM ONLY FOR ADULTS WAS MUCH BETTER AND SLIGHTLY HIGHER QUALITY AND BETTER SERVICE. THE BEACH SUITED US PERFECTLY. NO WAVES, YOU CAN WALK A LONG DISTANCE IN THE WATER BEFORE IT REACHES YOUR NECK. WARM, CLEAN YOU CAN SEE THE SAND PLENTY OF BEACH CHAIRS PLENTY OF SHADE BUT DO NOT EXPECT TO WALK ON THE SAND FOR HOURS TO COME. IT IS SMALL.AROUND 15 MINUTES EACH WAY FROM ONE END TO THE OTHER.THE BEACH WAS IDEAL FOR TODDLERS. THE SWIMMING POOL WAS LARGE AND COMFORTABLE. BARS ALL OVER WHICH MADE IT SIMPLE TO HAVE A DRINK. THERE WAS AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR ALL PREMIUM WHISKY AND OTHER ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES BUT VERY REASONABLE. BUT, THE WINES IN THE DINING ROOM OTHER THAN THE HOUSE WINE SOME WERE OVER PRICED. ALL TIPS WERE APPRECIATED YES THERE WERE A FEW INCIDENTALS WHERE WE HAD TO CALL HOUSEKEEPING BUT IT IS EXPECTED WITH SUCH A LARGE RESORT. DEFINITELY THEY NEED A NEW ENTERTAINMENT MANAGER. DURING 4-8 PM WHERE PEOPLE GATHER AROUND THE LOUNGE TO HAVE A DRINK EITHER THERE WAS NO MUSIC AND IF THERE WAS IT WAS BAD. THE 4 RESTAURANTS THEY CAN EASILY HAVE A PERSON WITH A GUITAR OR A VIOLIN GOING AROUND THE TABLES TO SET THE ROMANTIC MOOD WITH THE SUNSET. AS FOR THE EVENING ENTERTAINMENT, THEY ARE 20 YEARS BEHIND TIMES. ONE UNFORTUNATE INCIDENTS WHICH I FOUND VERY POOR REACTION IN BEHALF OF MANAGEMENT. MY WIFE HAD AN UNFORTUNATE AND SEVERE FALL IN A DINING ROOM HITTING HER HEAD ON THE MARBLE FLOOR VERY HARD( THE FLOOR WAS SLIPPERY BECAUSE OF OIL ). THE IMMEDIATE RESPONSE BY THE STAFF OF THE DINING ROOM WAS AMAZING THEY SUPPLIED ICE AND EVEN BROUGHT A WHEEL CHAIR AND EVEN WANTED TO CALL A NURSE AFTER FIFTEEN MINUTES WE LEFT . BUT, WE HAD NO RESPONSE FROM THE MANAGEMENT THE FOLLOWING DAY TO FIND OUT IF EVERYTHING WAS FINE. VERY DISAPPOINTED MY SECOND DISMAY WAS THE COST OF A MASSAGE 120 DOLLARS FOR 50 MINUTES. I WILL BE CRITICAL; MY ARGUMENT IS: MINIMUM WAGE IN MONTREAL IS $10.10 AN HOUR AND WE PAY AROUND $75 .FOR ONE HOUR MASSAGE. IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE. HAD IT BEEN $50 BOTH MY WIFE AND I WOULD HAVE HAD 2 HOURS EACH. THAT IS $200 REVENUE FOR THE HOTEL VERSUS 0. I CHECKED THE RATES FOR FEBRUARY I FOUND IT OVERLY PRICED. FOR THE SAME PRICE I CAN SPEND THOSE 2 WEEKS ANYWHERE IN SOUTH AMERICA. THANK YOU JACK KALAYDJIAN

Un centre de villégiature exceptionnel

Ma femme et moi sommes allés à Bad il y a une semaine et c'était l'un des meilleurs centres de villégiature que nous ayons visités, c'était notre première fois en Jamaïque et nous avons adoré chaque minute, le personnel était amical et c'était encore mieux quand ils parlaient très bien anglais, pas comme en Dominique où nous avons passé la plupart de nos vacances, ils vous comprenaient très bien, nous sommes impatients d'aller à Bad avec le reste de notre famille l'année prochaine

Amazing resort My wife and I just got bad a week ago and was one of he best resorts we been too , this was our 1st time in Jamaica and loved every minute of it, the staff were friendly and was even more better when they spoke English very well, not like in Dominican where we spent most of our vacation they did understand you has well, we can't wait to go bad with the rest of our family next year

L'hôtel était génial ! Les gens étaient formidables ! La nourriture était excellente, très variée ! La plage était chaude, la piscine était chaude, le soleil était chaud ! Notre chambre était géniale ! Vue sur la plage depuis le balcon. Le terrain était impeccable. Beaucoup de divertissements nocturnes.

Fantastic! Hotel was great! People were great! Food was great- Lots of variety! Beach was warm, the pool was warm,the sun was warm! Our room was great! View of the beach from balcony. Grounds were spotless. Lots of nightly entertainment.

Les chambres étaient moyennes, les salles de bains n'étaient pas géniales. Il n'y avait pas d'eau courante un jour, les douches fuyaient....definately need some renovations. Les tapis des couloirs sentaient mauvais. Lorsque j'ai parlé à la réception pour changer de section, elle m'a dit que les enfants n'étaient pas autorisés dans la nouvelle section, et que c'était donc le seul endroit disponible pour ma famille. Je regrette de ne pas l'avoir su au moment de la réservation, car j'aurais choisi  [... lire plus]un autre établissement. Les animations nocturnes étaient assez ennuyeuses (les spectacles d'avant-soirée étaient plus divertissants). Les animateurs de la piscine étaient formidables et la nourriture était excellente. Dans l'ensemble, un centre de villégiature moyen.

Average Resort Rooms were average, bathrooms were not the greatest. Did not have running water one day, showers leaked....definately needed some renovations. Hallway carpets smelled horrible. When I spoke to front desk about moving to the newer section, she told me that children were not allowed in the new section, so that was the only location available to my family. I wish I new this upon booking, because I would have chose an alternate resort. Nightly entertainment as quite boring (pre shows were more entertaining). Pool entertainers were great and food was great. Overall, an average resort.

Nous reviendrons sans aucun doute au Gran Bahia Principe

nous avons passé un excellent séjour, tout était merveilleux - la seule chose que je peux commenter est la distance entre l'aéroport et le centre de villégiature - c'est assez long. l'eau était très claire, l'hôtel et le terrain très propres, le personnel amical et serviable. La nourriture et le service étaient excellents.

we'll definitely go back to Gran Bahia Principe we had a great stay, all was wonderful- the only thing I can comment on is the travel distance from airport to the resort- its quite long. water was very clear, hotel and grounds very clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Food and service was excellent.

Complexe touristique exceptionnel

L'hôtel était magnifique, propre, bien entretenu, le service était excellent, le terrain immaculé, les piscines géniales, on s'est bien occupé de nous et on nous a servi rapidement de la nourriture dans tous les domaines, les divertissements étaient très bons et surtout ..... les gens étaient les meilleurs, très amicaux, gentils, attentionnés et heureux et font tout ce qu'ils peuvent pour rendre votre séjour le meilleur et c'est ce qu'ils ont fait pour nous. Nous reviendrons sans aucun doute

Amazing Resort The hotel was beautiful, clean, well kept, the service was excellent, the grounds immaculate, pools awesome, we were well taken care of and speedy for food in all areas, the entertainment was very good and most of all ..... the people were the best, very friendly, kind, caring happy and do anything they can to make your stay the best and they did that for us. We will definatley be back. 

Un bon moment mais qui aurait pu être meilleur

Nous sommes allés à Bahia du 13 au 20 septembre. Le temps était excellent, avec un peu de pluie ici et là. Le resort est immense mais très bien aménagé, il n'y a pas trop de marche à faire. La nourriture était excellente au buffet, au jerk hut, à l'italien et à l'espagnol. La nourriture était correcte au grill mais nous n'avons pas du tout aimé le Don Pablo. Les chambres de l'hôtel sont spacieuses et agréables, s'ils amélioraient leur literie, ce serait un 5 étoiles à coup sûr ! Le personnel éta [... lire plus]it très calme - ce n'est pas ce à quoi je suis habitué de la part des Jamaïcains, mais ça allait. Il y avait deux plages, l'une de sable et l'autre de rochers, toutes deux agréables. Nous avons surtout fréquenté la plage rocheuse car elle est surnommée la plage "cool", si vous voyez ce que je veux dire ;). La plongée avec masque et tuba y était fantastique et de nombreux poissons nageaient autour de nous, même lorsque nous n'allions que pour nous baigner. La plage de sable est grande et belle, mais il y avait tellement de monde ! Il y a beaucoup de possibilités de chaises longues sur les deux plages. Le personnel a travaillé très dur pour entretenir le terrain et le complexe était propre. J'ai été surprise de devoir aller chercher mes boissons - personne ne venait vous servir sur la plage. Dans l'ensemble, je donne à ce complexe 4 étoiles, mais il pourrait facilement être cinq s'ils amélioraient un peu leur jeu !

Great Time but could have been better We went to Bahia Sept 13 to Sep 20. Weather was great, had a little rain here and there. Resort is huge but laid out very well so not too much walking. Food was amazing at the buffet, the jerk hut, the Italian and the Spanish. Food was ok at the grill but we didn't like the Don Pablo at all. Unfortunately, the Japanese was closed while we were there so we didn't get to try it :0(. The hotel rooms are spacious and quite nice, if they upgraded their linens, it would be 5 star for sure! The staff was very calm - not what I am use to from the Jamaican people, but they were ok. There were two beaches - one sand and one rock - both were nice. We hung at the rocky beach mostly as it is referred to the "cool" beach if you know what I mean ;). The snorkelling there was amazing and we had many fish swimming around us even just going in for a swim. The sand beach is large and beautiful but there were so many people! Lots of opportunity on both beaches for loungers. The staff worked very hard maintaining the grounds, the resort was clean. I was surprised that I had to go get my drinks - no one came around the beach to serve you. Overall, I give this resort 4 stars but it could easily be a five if they stepped up their game a bit!

Un centre de villégiature formidable

Ce complexe était comme un château, si beau, si propre, si grand ! L'âge du complexe commence à se faire sentir avec les tapis dans le couloir et certains cadres de porte. Les pédalos devraient être remplacés car ils sont en mauvais état. Mais la piscine était magnifique, la plage de sable était tout aussi magnifique et pour un mois de septembre, le temps était fantastique. La nourriture était excellente, je recommande vivement le Don Pablo, la nourriture, la présentation et le service sont inco [... lire plus]mparables. Le personnel est très amical et serviable. Le seul problème que nous ayons eu, c'est que le soir en partant dîner, nous revenions, le lit était baissé et mon mari n'avait plus ses lunettes de soleil, heureusement qu'il en avait quelques paires, mais à la fin de nos vacances, il n'en avait plus. Mais dans l'ensemble, je recommande vivement ce complexe et j'ai l'intention d'y retourner bientôt.

Awesome Resort This resort was like a castle, so beautiful, so clean, so big! The age of the resort is starting to show with the carpets in the hallway and some of the door frames. Paddle boats shoud be replaces as they are in rough shape. But the pool was amazing, the sandy beach was equally as amazing and for September the weather was fantastic. Food was excellent, I highly recommend the Don Pablo the food, presentation and service is next to none. Staff are very friendly and helpful too. The only problem we had was in the evening when leaving for dinner, we would come back the bed would be turned down and my husbands sunglasses would be gone, good thing he had a couple pairs, but by the end of our vacation he had none, so note to self, do no leave your sunglasses on the dresser as turndown staff might think they are a gift. But all in all I do highly recommend this resort and plan to go back soon.

Loin mais génial !

J'ai passé 4 nuits avec mon mari et mon bébé de 5 mois. Je n'ai pas aimé la distance de l'aéroport (difficile quand on voyage avec un bébé) et je n'ai pas aimé non plus le trajet jusqu'à l'hôtel. Le bus était propre et la température confortable mais le chauffeur a pris beaucoup de temps pour partir (plus d'une heure après que tout le monde soit monté à bord) et a fait plusieurs arrêts. Quand je suis arrivée à l'hôtel, mon bébé et moi étions super grincheux ! L'enregistrement est un peu mouvem [... lire plus]enté, des gens partout vous disent d'aller dans une pièce spéciale pour l'enregistrement, je voulais juste aller à la réception (ils sont plutôt non chalont à la réception en train de danser et de s'amuser), cela a pris au total environ 20 minutes (ils ont essayé de faire plus vite pour moi car j'avais le bébé. En arrivant dans la chambre, j'ai été très satisfaite. Elle était d'une taille vraiment agréable. J'ai aimé le lit et le style n'était pas mal. Tout était propre. Le réfrigérateur n'était pas aussi froid que je le souhaitais pour les biberons de mon bébé, j'ai donc rempli de la glace au bar chaque jour pour les garder dans la glace du réfrigérateur. Il y avait aussi un berceau dans la chambre, ce qui a été une bonne surprise car j'avais demandé à l'avance une chambre près de la plage (je ne voulais pas marcher loin avec le bébé) L'emplacement de la chambre était assez bon si vous voulez être proche de la plage et j'étais juste à côté du restaurant de plage Jerk chicken. Il faut marcher un peu jusqu'au buffet principal, mais c'est une belle promenade ! Le terrain est très joli. Nous avons séjourné dans le bâtiment 18. Nous n'avons eu aucun problème avec les moustiques ou les insectes. Ne restez pas au premier étage, juste au cas où. L'air conditionné ne fonctionnait pas non plus ! Il faisait même trop froid la nuit ! Cela vient de quelqu'un qui a toujours chaud quand tout le monde a froid ! La nourriture était étonnamment bonne ! J'aime la variété, mais j'aime la qualité et j'ai été impressionné. Tout n'était pas 10/10 mais les plats qui étaient bons étaient vraiment très bons. Mes plats préférés dont j'ai encore envie sont les omelettes, le bacon, le cappuccino et le poulet jerk. Le gâteau au fromage était bon aussi. Oui, parfois il n'y a plus de bacon mais il suffit d'attendre quelques minutes et il y en a plus. Il faut juste aller chercher le bacon à la minute où l'on entre dans le restaurant ! Je n'ai pas goûté les mimosas mais j'aurais aimé le faire ! Ils avaient l'air bons. J'espérais des boissons à l'intérieur de noix de coco ou d'ananas mais je n'en ai pas vu. Les boissons alcoolisées avaient un goût fort et je n'ai pas vraiment aimé. Il y avait un cocktail à la canneberge au restaurant asiatique qui était délicieux ! Nous n'avons pu prendre que 2 repas à la carte avec notre forfait. le premier, le restaurant asiatique, était correct, j'avais vu mieux au Mexique, pas beaucoup de spectacle mais une bonne saveur. Le Don Pablo était vraiment bon. J'ai mangé un steak très tendre avec une sauce à la crème au fromage bleu. Les divertissements étaient amusants ! Je n'ai pas vu grand chose et je n'ai réalisé que le dernier jour qu'il y avait un spectacle plus tôt dans le hall et un spectacle plus tard dans la zone de divertissement principale. Il y a aussi beaucoup de boutiques ! Vous pouvez négocier les prix. Beaucoup de souvenirs. N'attendez pas d'être à l'aéroport pour en acheter car ils sont ridiculement chers à l'aéroport ! J'ai fait un massage au spa pour notre anniversaire de mariage et j'ai vraiment apprécié. J'ai eu des massages dans de nombreux hôtels à travers le monde et celui-ci était probablement mon deuxième préféré ! En tout cas, on a dit à mon mari que le massage coûterait 100 $ parce qu'il y avait une promotion et qu'il coûterait 130 $ parce que la promotion était terminée. Le spa a dit qu'il avait appelé notre chambre pour nous prévenir mais nous n'étions pas là. Nous avons l'intention d'appeler et de parler au directeur pour voir s'ils vont honorer le prix. Les prix au spa sont assez élevés. Le spa est propre et agréable. Dans l'ensemble, tout le monde est très amical et c'est un environnement familial agréable, pas vraiment une scène de fête. Bonne musique cependant ! La piscine était bien ! Les places à l'ombre sont prises très tôt, donc si vous voulez une bonne place, mettez votre serviette très tôt, avant 8h ! De plus, mon mari avait essayé de planifier quelque chose de spécial pour notre anniversaire, il est allé à la réception et ils ont dit qu'ils s'en occuperaient. Ils ont insisté. Ils ont fini par envoyer quelqu'un pour préparer la table pour le room service mais ils ne sont jamais venus avec de la nourriture lol. Ils ont cependant envoyé une corbeille de fruits, une petite bouteille de rhum et deux t-shirts, ce qui était très attentionné !

Far but awesome ! Stayed for 4 nights with my husband & five month old baby. Dislike the distance from the airport ( hard when travelling with a baby) also disliked the ride to the hotel. The bus was clean & confortable temperature but the driver took a long time to leave (over an hour after everyone was boarded ) & made several stops. By the time I got to the hotel my baby & I were super cranky! Check in is a bit hectic people everywhere telling you to go to a special room to check in , I just wanted to go to the front desk ( they are pretty non chalont at the desk dancing & having a good time ) took total about 20 mins (they tried to make it quicker for me as I had the baby. Arriving to the room I was really pleased. It was a really nice size. I liked the bed & the style was not bad. Everything was clean. The fridge wasn't as cold as I wanted for my baby's bottles so I filled up ice at the bar each day to keep them inside the ice inside the fridge. There was also a crib in the room already which was a nice surprise as I had called ahead requesting a room close to the beach ( as I didn't want to walk far with the baby) The room location was pretty good if you want to be close to the beach & I was right outside the jerk chicken beach restaurant. Abit of a walk to the main buffet but it's a beautiful walk! The grounds as very pretty. We stayed in building 18. Had no issues with Mosquitos or bugs. So don't stay on the 1at floor just in case. Also the air conditioning was fine ! Even got too cold at night ! This is coming from someone that is always hot when everyone's cold ! The food was surprisingly good! I like a variety of food but I like high quality & was impressed. Not everything was 10/10 but the items that were good were really really good. My favorites that I'm still craving are the omelettes , bacon , cappuccino & jerk chicken. The cheesecake was good too. Yes sometimes they run out of bacon but you just need to wait a couple minutes & there's more. You just need to go for the bacon the minute you get in there ! I didn't try the mimosas but wish I would have ! They looked good. I was hoping for drinks inside coconuts or pineapples but didn't see any. The alcoholic drinks tasted strong so I didn't really like any too much. There was a cranberry cocktail at the Asian restaurant that was delicious! We were only able to do 2 a la carte meals with our package. 1 was the Asian was ok had seen better in Mexico not much of a show but good flavour. The don Pablo was really good. I had a very tender steak with a blue cheese cream sauce. The entertainment was fun! I didn't see much & only realized the last day that there is an earlier show in the lobby & a late show in the main entertainment area. Lots of shops there also! You can negotiate prices. Lots of souvenirs. Don't wait until you get the airport to buy any because they are ridiculously overpriced at the airport! Went for a massage at the spa for our anniversary & really enjoyed it. I have had massages at many hotels around the world & this was probably my second favourite! Anyhow my husband was told it would be $100 as there was a promotion & it was $130 because the promo was over. The spa said they called our room to let us know but we weren't there. We plan to call & speak to the manager to see if they will honour the price. The prices at the spa are pretty expensive. The spa is clean & nice. Overall everyone is really friendly & it was a nice family environment not as much of a party scene. Good music though !! Pool was nice ! The shady seats are taken early so if you want a good seat put your towel early like before 8am! Also my husband had tried to plan something special for our anniversary he went to the from desk & they said they would take care of if. They insisted. They ended up sending someone to set up the table for room service but they never came with any food lol. They did however send a fruit basket , small bottle of rum& 2 t shirts which was all thoughtful !

On ne s'ennuie jamais

Il y avait toujours des choses amusantes à faire dans ce complexe. Il y avait toujours une sorte de jeu près de la piscine, vous pouviez prendre des bateaux à aubes, faire les magasins, et simplement vous détendre. J'ai séjourné deux semaines et j'ai eu l'impression de ne pas avoir assez de temps. Avec toutes les possibilités d'excursions, je recommande au moins un séjour d'une semaine et demie. Le personnel des jeux était génial, il était aimable et se souvenait de nos noms. Ils ont essayé de v [... lire plus]ous faire participer à des jeux, mais ils n'ont jamais été gênants. Je n'ai jamais été dérangé par les vendeurs sur la plage. 5/5 J'ai passé un moment merveilleux et je recommanderais à tout le monde de séjourner ici.

Never a dull moment There were always fun things to do at this resort. There was always some sort of games near the pool, you could take out paddle boats, hit the shops, and just relax. I stayed for 2 weeks and it still felt like not enough time. With all the excursion possibilities, I recommend at the very least a 1.5 week stay. The game staff were awesome, they were personable, remembered our names. They tried to involve you in games, but they were never a bother. I was never bothered by people selling stuff on the beach. 5/5 I had a wonderful time and would recommend to anybody to stay here.

Station très décevante !

Il n'y a rien de bon là-dedans. Pas du tout un 4 étoiles. Très désorganisé et les employés ne sont pas comme les hôteliers nord-américains. Quand la "concierge" doit vérifier avec son manager, c'est un gros problème ! Je n'en ai pas eu pour mon argent !

Hugely disappointing resort! Nothing good there. Not a 4 star at all. Very disorganized and employees are not like north american hotelrie. When "concierge" has to check w her manager, its a big problem! Did not get my dollar value!

Ne devrait pas s'appeler Grand Bahia ! Cassé !

Tout était cassé. Pas de chariots comme dans les autres bahias. La nourriture était bonne mais le service était lent. Les barmans sur la plage sont sympas mais se limitent parfois à des mélanges. La boîte de nuit empestait les eaux usées. Ne pas y aller !

Should not be called Grand Bahia! Broken! Everything was broken. No trolleys like at other Bahias. Food was good but the service was slow. Bartenders on the beach are cool but at times limited to mixes. The night club reeked of sewage. Do not go!

Quelques questions....

Nous avons eu 4 heures d'attente avant que nos chambres soient prêtes car l'avion a atterri avant l'heure d'enregistrement. La plage était superbe. Mais quand le groupe de 20 d'entre nous est retourné à la chambre, 2 chambres n'étaient toujours pas prêtes. 2 heures de plus avant que la chambre ne soit prête. Ce n'est pas drôle. La nourriture était excellente et tous les autres services étaient excellents. Sauf l'enregistrement initial. Le groupe de mariage a apprécié la plus grande partie de l'h [... lire plus]ôtel.

Some issues.... We had a 4 hour wait until our rooms were ready as plane landed before checking time. Found beach was great. But when the group of 20 of us returned fir room, 2 rooms still weren't ready . 2 more hours before room ready. Not fun. Food awesome and all other services great. Except initial check in. Wedding group enjoyed most of the hotel.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour

Ce fut l'une de nos meilleures vacances et nous en avons passé de très bonnes dans les hôtels tout compris des Caraïbes par le passé. Les chambres étaient spacieuses et propres, la piscine et la plage bien aménagées et entretenues, de nombreux choix sains et nourrissants au restaurant buffet, des plats délectables à la carte et, pour couronner le tout, un excellent service de la part du personnel, comme Francine à la réception, Barrington au salon de la terrasse et Gerrick au bar de la plage, po [... lire plus]ur n'en citer que quelques-uns.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay This was easily one of our better holidays and we have had some really good ones at all inclusives around the Caribbean in te past. The rooms were spacious and clean, the swimming pool and beach well laid out and serviced, plenty of healthy and wholesome choices at the buffet restaurants, delectable fare at the a la cartes and to top it off excellent service from the staff, like Francine at reception, Barrington at the terrace lounge and Gerrick at the beach bar to name only a few.

Un beau centre de vacances, mais un service médiocre

Ma femme et moi sommes allés en lune de miel dans ce que nous pensions être un complexe 4 étoiles, nous avons payé pour les services de Don Pablo et pendant toute la semaine nous n'avons rien eu de ce qui était promis sur le papier. Nous n'avons pas été impressionnés, l'hôtel était bien, le service était terrible

Nice resort not great service My wife and I went on out honeymoon to what we thought was a 4 star resort , we paid for the don Pablo services and for the entire week didn't get anything as Promised on the paper . We were not impressed, resort was nice service was terrible
