Le personnel du Grand Palladium a dépassé nos attentes, tous les jours du voyage. Amical, accessible et courtois, il a été attentif à nos moindres besoins. Bien qu'il s'agisse d'un établissement de grande taille, le complexe fait un travail remarquable pour maintenir les halls, les restaurants, les piscines, les plages et les allées dans un état impeccable. Destination Wedding The staff of the Grand Palladium went above and beyond our expectations, everyday of the trip. Friendly, approachable, and courteous, they were attentive to our every need. Although large in the scale, the resort does an amazing job keeping all the lobbies, restaurants, pools, beaches and walkways in pristine shape. Our wedding coordinator (Nidia) did an unbelievable job not only our the wedding day, but the in weeks and months leading up to it as well. Her ability to deliver timely, and valuable information was second to none. We are certain Nidia is the reason our special day went off without a hitch. We have travelled to many countries, and stayed in a variety of private to large scale resorts. The combination of location, staffing, cleanliness, and amenities at the Grand Palladium made it our most memorable trip to date. Hats off to the Grand Palladium White Sand Resort!

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Magnifique centre de villégiature !

Ce complexe est très différent de tous ceux où nous avons séjourné. Nous séjournons généralement dans des complexes 5 étoiles en bord de mer, où les chambres sont situées au bord de l'océan et où il n'y a que très peu d'arbres. Cette station était tellement luxuriante avec de beaux arbres que c'était incroyable ! C'était le meilleur des deux mondes, une station balnéaire 5 étoiles et une jungle magnifique en même temps. Il y a tellement de sentiers de randonnée à explorer qui vous emmènent [... lire plus] à travers les arbres, autour des cenotes et à travers des ruines mayas. Il faut absolument aimer les animaux pour venir dans ce complexe, car il y en a partout ! Un raton laveur est même venu s'asseoir sur notre table dans le snack-bar, les enfants ont adoré ! Les spectacles nocturnes étaient incroyables ! Ils étaient parfaits pour les enfants et les adultes. Je dirais que c'est le meilleur divertissement que nous ayons vu dans un complexe hôtelier jusqu'à présent. Nous n'avons pas eu besoin de réserver pour les restaurants à la carte, ce qui était très bien pour les enfants. Nous ne savons jamais quand ils vont avoir faim et nous détestons devoir réserver trois jours à l'avance, comme le font la plupart des complexes hôteliers. Certains jours, nous avons dû attendre environ 30 minutes pour entrer, mais cela ne nous a jamais dérangés. La plupart du temps, nous obtenions une table pour 9 personnes en moins de 5 minutes. La plupart des plats étaient délicieux. Le buffet était cependant souvent en rupture de stock et il fallait attendre un peu avant qu'il ne soit remplacé. La seule réservation nécessaire est celle du restaurant japonais et elle en vaut la peine !!!! La plage est magnifique et il est toujours possible d'obtenir une chaise de plage à n'importe quel moment de la journée. Les piscines étaient parfaites pour les enfants, mais la piscine principale était très fréquentée pendant la journée. Dans l'ensemble, ce furent des vacances extraordinaires et nous y retournerons. Nous étions un groupe de 7 adultes et 2 enfants de 5 et 3 ans. N'oubliez pas que vous allez dans un pays où de nombreux travailleurs vivent de leurs pourboires et que s'ils ne reçoivent pas de pourboires ce jour-là, ils risquent de ne pas pouvoir nourrir leur famille. Nous avons vu beaucoup trop de gens qui ne donnaient pas de pourboire, c'était triste ! Ces personnes vous servent 24 heures sur 24, main dans la main.

Beautiful Resort! This resort is very different from any we have stayed at. We mostly stay at 5 star beach front resorts that the rooms are right on the ocean and there are minimal trees. This resort was so lush with beautiful trees it was amazing! It was the best of both world's, a 5 star beach front resort and a beautiful jungle all in one. There were so many walking trails to explore that take you through the trees, around cenotes and through some mayan ruins. You definitely need to like animals to come to this resort because they are every where! We even had a raccoon come up on our table out in the snack bar area, the kids just loved it! The shows at night were amazing! They were great for kids and adults. I would say the best entertainment we have seen at a resort so far. We did not need reservations at the a la cartes which was great for the kids, we never know when they are going to be hungry so we hate having to make reservations 3 days in advance like most resorts require. Some days we had to wait about 30 minutes to get in but it never bothered us. Most of the time we could get a table for 9 people within 5 minutes. Most of the food was delicious. The buffet did often run out of some foods though and it would take a while before they replaced it. The only reservations that is required is for the Japanese restaurant and it is so worth it!!!! The beach was beautiful and you could always get a beach chair any time of the day. The pools were great for the kids but the main pool area did get quit busy during the day. All in all it was an amazing vacation and we will go back again. We were a group of 7 adults and 2 kids aged 5 and 3. Please remember that you are going to a country where a lot of the workers live off of their tips and if they do not get tips that day they might not be able to feed their family. We saw far too many people not tipping it was sad! These people are serving you hand over foot 24 hours a day.

Grand Palladium Select White Sand: Très impressionné

Je n'avais pas visité de complexe hôtelier depuis environ huit ans en raison d'une mauvaise expérience antérieure. Le Grand Palladium est exceptionnel. Le service, la nourriture et les équipements sont excellents. Je le recommanderai vivement à mes amis et à ma famille et j'envisagerai d'y retourner.

Thoroughly Impressed I had not visited a resort in approximately eight years due to a prior poor experience. The Grand Palladium is exceptional. Great service, food, and amenities. I will highly recommend to friends and family and consider revisiting.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Grand Bahia Principe - Merveilleux complexe hôtelier !

Le complexe Grand Bahia Principe est magnifique ! Il dispose de plages de sable blanc avec de nombreux salons pour tout le monde, des piscines chaudes et propres, une nourriture et des boissons fantastiques. Le personnel était formidable, les chambres impeccables et les divertissements excellents. Notre plat préféré à la carte était les fruits de mer.

Grand Bahia Principe - Wonderful resort! The Grand Bahia Principe resort was beautiful! The resort has white sand beaches with plenty of lounges for everyone, warm clean pools, fantastic food and beverages. The staff were amazing, the rooms spotless and the entertainment was excellent. Our favourite A la Carte was Seafood.

Ocean Maya Royale: Grande escapade

L'hôtel est très bien agencé. La piscine était propre et le terrain était toujours entretenu. Le personnel était toujours souriant et prêt à faire un effort supplémentaire. Un grand effort a été fait pour les divertissements nocturnes. Dans l'ensemble, le niveau sonore était élevé jusqu'à minuit. Le son se propageait dans toutes les villas. Il y avait toujours quelque chose à choisir dans les buffets quotidiens. Le restaurant japonais était délicieux ! Comme indiqué dans d'autres commentaires [... lire plus], apporter son propre oreiller est un bon conseil. L'érosion a emporté la quasi-totalité de la plage. Si c'est votre truc, ce n'est pas l'hôtel qu'il vous faut. C'était génial d'être réservé aux adultes, les jeunes ne nous manquaient pas du tout.

Great Getaway The hotel had a great layout. The pool was clean and the grounds were always being attended too. The staff always had a smile and willing to go the extra mile. A great effort was made for nightly entertainment. Overall the noise level was loud until midnight. Sound carried throughout the villas. There was always something to choose from on the daily buffets. The Japanese restaraunt was delish! As stated from other reviews, bring your own pillow was a good tip. Erosion has taken away almost all of the beach. If that is your 'thing' this is not the resort for you. It was great being an adults only, didn't miss the young ones at all.

Perfect Getaway for Family Everything was clean and immaculate, staff were friendly, resources helpful in trip planning excursions - if you want to come to a resort where everything is taken care of Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda is the place. This is especially a great place for vegetarian diets - both me and my husband are vegetarians and everything food-wise was to our liking.

J'ai passé une semaine dans ce complexe et je ne me suis jamais ennuyé. La variété des restaurants et des activités a donné beaucoup de choix à tous les membres de ma famille - même à mes adolescents ! L'hôtel, les terrains et les chambres étaient très propres et le personnel était très aimable partout. Nous y retournerons certainement et nous le recommanderons à nos amis pour des vacances en famille ou des vacances romantiques en couple ! J'ai adoré !

Great Family Vacation Stayed a week at this resort and was never bored. The variety of restaurants and activities gave many choices for everyone in my family-even my teenagers! Hotel, grounds and room were very clean and friendly workers everywhere. We will definitely be going back as well as recommending to friends for a family vacstion of romantic coue vacation! Loved it!

Grand Palladium Select White Sand: Une beauté tentaculaire

Il n'y a rien à redire. Le terrain est impeccable. La nourriture au buffet et à la carte est fraîche et délicieuse. Le seul problème est qu'il n'y a pas de réservation dans les restaurants à la carte à moins d'être un invité de marque. Il fallait être au restaurant à 6 heures, sinon on ne pouvait pas s'asseoir. La piscine d'eau de mer était Spectaculaire. 4+ sur 5

Sprawling Beauty Not a thing to complain about. The grounds are immaculate. The food in buffet & a LA carte's fresh and delicious. The only issue was there are no reservations at the a LA carte's unless you are an upgraded guest. Had to be at restaurant by 6 or would not get seated. The sea water pool was Spectacular. 4+ out of 5

Tukan Hotel Playa Del Carmen: Bien dans l'ensemble.

L'emplacement de l'hôtel était à la fois génial et moins génial. Super parce qu'il est situé au milieu de l'action. Moins bien parce que la musique provenant des bars est très forte et se termine jusqu'au petit matin. Nous avons dû demander un changement de chambre à deux reprises. Ils ont accepté, c'était bon à la fin.

Overall Good. Hotel location was both great and not so great. Great because is located in the middle of the action. Not so great because the music coming from the bars is very loud and finishes off until the wee hours. We had to request a change of rooms twice. They obliged, it was OK at the end.

Grand Riviera Princess: Paradis ensoleillé

Le domaine du Mexican Grand Riviera Princess est impressionnant, avec de nombreux chemins de promenade bordés de statues symboliques de la culture. Sunshine Paradise The grounds ofhe Mexican Grand Riviera Princess are impressive with many walking paths lined with statuary symbolic of the culture. The lawns and many gardens are beautiful and very well maintained. The pools are very clean and designed to give maximum visual appeal as they are strategically placed throughout the site. The staff are courteous and eager to ensure the guests have an enjoyable, relaxing stay. Rooms are serviced on a daily basis and towels and linens are changed every day.

Selection Riviera Cancun: Un lieu de villégiature fantastique !

L'hôtel correspondait exactement à la description - la salle de bain était géniale - la nourriture est fantastique ! Il n'est pas nécessaire de réserver dans la plupart des restaurants à la carte, ce qui est un vrai plus - le personnel de l'hôtel était très aimable et serviable.

Fantastic resort! Resort was exactly as described - swim-up room was great - food is fantastic! No reservations needed at most of the a la carte restaurants is a real plus - resort staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Un centre de villégiature extraordinaire !

Nous venons de rentrer de ce resort fin octobre 2016. Nous sommes restés 1 semaine et c'était les meilleures vacances. Nous avons séjourné au Grand Bahia Principe Tulum qui est directement sur la plage qui est magnifique. Le sable est blanc poudreux et l'eau d'un beau turquoise. Les piscines sont également très agréables. Nous avons adoré le swim up bar et si cela devenait un peu bruyant, nous allions simplement dans une autre piscine pour nous détendre. Le terrain est très bien entretenu. [... lire plus] Le personnel de ce complexe ne ménage pas ses efforts. Si vous recherchez une cuisine savoureuse, ne cherchez pas plus loin que ce complexe. Il y a beaucoup de choix et les plats sont très savoureux. Nous sommes allés dans de nombreux centres de villégiature et je dois dire que celui-ci est l'un de nos préférés.

Amazing Resort! We just got back from this resort the end of October 2016. We stayed for 1 week and it was the best vacation. We stayed at Grand Bahia Principe Tulum which is right on the beach which is beautiful. The sand is powdery white and the water a beautiful turquoise. The pools were very nice as well. We loved the swim up bar and if it got a little noisy, we just moved to another pool to relax. The grounds are very well maintained. The staff at this resort are always working hard. If your looking for great tasting food, look no further than this resort. Lots to choose from the very flavorful. We have been to many resorts and I have to say that this is one of our favorites.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Un service exceptionnel !

Le terrain de l'hôtel était impeccable et les installations elles-mêmes étaient bien entretenues. Pas de murs fissurés, ni de moisissures dans les toilettes, les piscines et la plage étaient contrôlées et nettoyées régulièrement, les toilettes publiques étaient bien entretenues. Le buffet était très varié pendant les neuf jours de notre séjour et les chefs étaient très accommodants. Le restaurant italien en plein air était excellent, de même que le restaurant japonais. Il y a également un café, un restaurant de style américain et un steakhouse avec un excellent filet. L'hôtel dispose de quatre piscines, avec un choix de bassins pour enfants, de bassins de détente et d'un bassin de fête. Toutes étaient animées en permanence et vous n'étiez pas à la recherche de quelque chose à faire. La plage est très proche et le personnel du bar offre un excellent service. L'enregistrement et le départ ont été rapides et efficaces et le personnel très agréable. Très bel établissement !

Outstanding Service! Hotel grounds were immaculate, and the facility itself was well kept. No cracked walls, nor mold in the washrooms, pools and beach were checked and cleaned regularly, public washrooms were well kept. The buffet had great variety throughout the 9 days we were there, and the chefs were very accommodating. The outdoor Italian restaurant was excellent, as well as the Japanese restaurant. Both had chefs cook right in front of you and were highly entertaining. There is also a coffee shop, an American style restaurant and a steakhouse with an excellent filet. There are 4 pools to choose from, with a choice of kids pool, relaxing pools, and also the party pool. All had ongoing entertainment and you were not looking for something to do. The beach is very close, with great service from the bar staff. Check in/out was fast and efficient and the staff very pleasant. Beautiful facility!

Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya: Belle station balnéaire

L'hôtel était magnifique, le personnel sympathique et serviable, le service en chambre excellent, nous avons adoré le choix d'alcools et de boissons dans notre chambre. Cependant, nous avons été TRÈS DÉCEPTIONNÉS par les verres sales dans lesquels ils servent nos boissons dans les bars extérieurs, ils étaient rincés à l'eau sale et il y avait du rouge à lèvres dessus.

Beautiful resort The hotel was beautiful, friendly and helpful staff, excellent room service, love the selection of liquor and drink in our room. However we were VERY DISAPPOINTED with the dirty glasses that they serve our drinks in at the outdoor bars, they were rinsed in dirty water and had lipstick on them.

Riu Tequila: Charmante station balnéaire

Nous avons passé un excellent moment. Le personnel était merveilleux et efficace. Ma chambre semblait avoir été récemment refaite avec de beaux meubles et un lit confortable. J'étais proche du bâtiment principal mais c'était calme. La plage était géniale. Sable blanc et poudreux. Beaucoup de palmiers pour l'ombre. La nourriture était excellente dans tous les restaurants. Il n'y a pas grand-chose à redire.

Lovely resort Had a great time. The staff were all wonderful and efficient. My room seemed to be recently redone with nice furniture and a comfortable bed. I was close to the main building but it was quiet. The beach was awesome. White, powdery sand. Lots of palm trees for shade. The food was excellent in all the restaurants. Not much to complain about here.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: fabuleux 50e anniversaire

J'ai passé mes 50 ans ici avec mon mari, j'y retournerais sans hésiter. Cet endroit était incroyable, et je veux dire tout à son sujet, la nourriture, l'atmosphère, le personnel, on n'aurait pas pu demander mieux, on a adoré faire du snorkeling avec les tortues de mer tous les jours. Un visage amical partout où vous vous tournez, toujours prêt à offrir leurs services. fabulous 50th birthday Spent my 50th here with my husband, would go back in a heartbeat. This place was amazing, and I mean everything about it, the food the atmosphere the staff, Couldn't have asked for anything better, absolutely loved snorkeling with the Sea Turtles everyday. A friendly face everywhere you turned, always willing to offer their services. Aurora at the breakfast bar was so friendly and such a warm smile first thing in the morning, what a way to start your day. Can't wait for next year!!!!!

Catalonia Playa Maroma: Belle plage, petit hôtel, vacances extraordinaires !

Contexte : Nous avons séjourné deux semaines en famille avec un bébé de 13 mois. C'est notre deuxième séjour, le premier ayant eu lieu en couple il y a seulement 4 ans. Terrain : Magnifique et luxuriant. Les jardiniers travaillent très dur pour les entretenir. distances "parfaites" pour marcher : même porter un bébé (avec un sac à langer, un anneau de natation, des serviettes) de la chambre d'hôtel au hall ou à la plage n'a jamais été un problème. La disposition de chaque villa est telle q [... lire plus]ue les chambres donnant sur la cour intérieure avec leurs balcons ne font pas face à d'autres chambres, mais aux entrées de ces chambres. De cette façon, vous pouvez conserver une certaine intimité si votre chambre donne sur la cour. Notre chambre était orientée vers l'extérieur (pas vers la cour) et nous avions une vue sur les palmiers - une intimité totale s'il n'y avait pas de voisin adjacent. Les villas sont situées à quelques pas de l'avenue principale. Bien qu'il s'agisse d'une courte distance par rapport à l'avenue principale, vous traversez une "jungle épaisse" - faites donc attention la nuit et apportez un répulsif contre les insectes. Les chemins sont éclairés la nuit, mais il s'agit plutôt d'un éclairage d'ambiance. Les chemins qui mènent de l'avenue principale aux villas font des virages autour de la végétation et certaines portions sont en pente. Il y a également des panneaux "sentimental saying" qui pendent assez bas. Nous n'avons pas eu de problème à naviguer sur les chemins avec notre poussette, mais nous avons ri en pensant que si quelqu'un revenait éméché, il pourrait se retrouver dans un "fossé" ou se cogner la tête contre le panneau. Chambre d'hôtel : Nous avons été surclassés dans le bâtiment privilégié de Coba, plus proche du théâtre. Le bâtiment a été récemment rénové avec des finitions contemporaines et les toilettes ont été modernisées. (Je la compare à notre séjour initial en 2012 dans le bâtiment Kabah qui est plus proche de la plage). Les rénovations se poursuivent et je crois savoir que le théâtre sera rénové dans les prochaines semaines. - Je ne peux pas faire de commentaires sur le bruit qui en proviendra. Nourriture : Oui, pendant les deux semaines du séjour, on peut voir que les plats sont répétitifs. Cependant, même ainsi, il y a tellement de choix. Il faut être incroyablement difficile et négatif pour ne pas trouver quelque chose à manger : des pizzas, un grand choix de pains, deux soupes (différentes à chaque repas), une station de fromage, une station de fruits frais, des desserts, un bar à salades et une station de charcuterie. À chaque repas, il y avait deux ou trois choix de poissons/fruits de mer, et nous étions toujours étonnés de voir qu'il y avait un steak de thon fraîchement grillé et que les clients préféraient de la viande rouge à la place. Il y avait une variété de plats chauds, certains authentiquement mexicains - enchiladas, tostadas, tamales, molletes, ceviche, flautas, tacos al pastor, variété de salsas. Plage : Longue et large plage. Le sable est doux, mais pas autant qu'à Holguin, Cuba. Ce qui est fantastique, c'est qu'il y a des palmiers matures directement sur la plage, de sorte que vous pouvez toujours trouver un peu d'ombre si vous le souhaitez. La section privilégiée est séparée et il y a aussi une section Exclusive Privileged. L'entrée dans l'océan est libre de tout rocher, ce qui a posé problème lors d'un précédent séjour au Grand Princess Riviera. Les jours où l'océan était calme, nous avons nagé dans l'océan avec notre fille. Il n'y a que deux hôtels adjacents, et les propriétés suivantes sont toutes deux abandonnées en cours de construction. Ce qui est regrettable, c'est la quantité de déchets plastiques provenant des navires qui s'accumulent dans ces zones abandonnées. Cependant, la promenade est très agréable et sûre. Il y a quelques petits vendeurs, mais rien d'odieux. Personnel, animation, entretien : Le personnel, comme n'importe quel groupe de personnes, varie : de l'authentiquement très amical et serviable, à ceux qui ne sont heureux que lorsqu'ils reçoivent des pourboires. Par exemple, nous avons eu une femme de chambre qui nettoyait les chambres avec beaucoup d'attention, et deux autres qui ne faisaient que le minimum requis. Nous avons rencontré des employés de restaurant extraordinaires (Katia à l'accueil, les serveurs Humberto, Luis, Ekran et d'autres) et d'autres moins bons, en particulier le directeur du restaurant du soir et la dame d'accueil du soir. Entretien : Nous avons eu une fuite du luminaire dans les toilettes qui a été rapidement réparée (quelqu'un a été envoyé dans l'heure qui suivait). Malheureusement, pendant la réparation, le ventilateur des toilettes a été éteint, si bien que les toilettes ont commencé à sentir la moisissure. Par ailleurs, nous avons assisté à plusieurs reprises au lavage à l'électricité de l'avenue principale, au récurage des piscines et au nettoyage des meubles en osier. L'équipe d'animation était formidable ! Ils se promenaient, faisaient connaissance avec les clients et les invitaient à participer à diverses activités. Même avec un bébé, nous avons trouvé plusieurs activités que nous avons faites tous ensemble - des cours de danse et d'entraînement près de la piscine pendant la journée, le début de la fête sur la plage le soir et la participation au Roi Lion. Ils ont été très gentils avec notre fille. Points négatifs : Nous avons été approchés cinq fois par des employés vêtus de bleu pour participer au programme de multipropriété. À chaque fois, il leur a fallu au moins 30 minutes pour nous inviter à une présentation de 3 à 4 heures (d'après ce que j'ai compris d'autres commentaires) au cours d'un brunch. Même si nous sommes restés 2 semaines, nous sommes venus ici pour nous détendre et célébrer notre première année en tant que famille. Nous ne voulions pas que quelqu'un essaie de nous convaincre de participer à un programme. Après les premières fois, nous sommes devenus très méfiants et nous nous sommes contentés de marmonner des salutations et de repartir. Les appels téléphoniques dans notre chambre pour nous donner rendez-vous pour un brunch étaient un "non" catégorique, car notre fille faisait la sieste à ce moment-là. En ce qui nous concerne, si vous ne pouvez pas vendre le programme en 30 minutes, c'est qu'il ne s'agit pas d'une bonne affaire. C'est aussi simple que cela : dites-moi les avantages, la différence de coût, etc. Mais ne gaspillez pas mon précieux temps de vacances.

Beautiful beach, small hotel, amazing vacation! Background: Stayed for two weeks as a family with a 13 month old baby. This is our second stay, the first time we stayed as a couple-only 4 years ago. Grounds: Beautiful and lush. The gardeners work really hard to maintain these. "Perfect" distances for walking: even carrying a baby (along with a diaper bag, swimming ring, towels) from the hotel room to the lobby or to the beach was never an issue. The layout of each villa building is such that those rooms facing the inner courtyard with their balconies do not face other rooms, but the entrances into those rooms. This way you can maintain some privacy if your room is facing the courtyard. Our room was facing out (not into the courtyard) and we had a view of palms - Complete Privacy if not for adjacent neighbour. The location of each villa building is a short walk from the main avenue. Although it is a short proximity from the main avenue, you do walk through a "thick jungle" - so beware at night and bring bug repellent. The paths are lit up at night, but more of a mood lighting and the paths from the main avenue to villas do bend around vegetation and some portions are on an incline. There are also some "sentimental saying" signs that hang rather low. We did not have a problem navigating paths with our stroller, however, we laughed that if one is coming back tipsy, they might end up in a "ditch" or might hit their head on the sign. Hotel room: We were upgraded to privileged Coba building closer to the Theatre. The building was recently renovated with contemporary finishes and the washroom is updated. (I am comparing it to our original stay in 2012 in the Kabah Building which is closer to the beach). Renovations are continuing as I understand the Theatre is being updated in the next weeks. - Cannot comment on the noise that will be coming from it. Food: Yes, during the two week stay, you can tell dishes are repetitive. However, even so, there is so much choice. One has to be incredibly picky and negative not to find something to eat: from pizzas, huge selection of breads, two soups (different at each meal time), cheese station, fresh fruit station, deserts, salad bars and cold cut station. At each meal there were two-three choices of fish/seafood, and we were always amazed when there was fresh grilled Tuna steak and guests preferred red meat instead. There were a variety of warm plate dishes, some authentic Mexican - enchiladas, tostadas,tamales, molletes, ceviche, flautas, tacos al pastor, variety of salsas. Beach: Long and wide beach. The sand is soft, although not as soft as I recall in Holguin, Cuba. The fantastic thing is that there are mature palms right on the beach, so you can always find a little bit of shade if you want it. The privileged section is separated and there is also an Exclusive Privileged. Entrance into the ocean is free of any rocks, which was definitely an issue when we stayed at Grand Princess Riviera on a previous occasion. On days when the ocean was calm, we were swimming in the ocean with our daughter. There are only two adjacent hotels, and the next properties over are both abandoned in construction. The unfortunate part is the amount of plastic garbage from ships that accumulates in those abandoned areas. However, the walk is very pleasant and safe. You have some minor vendors, but nothing obnoxious. Staff/ Entertainment/ Maintenance: Staff, as any group of people varies: from genuinely very friendly and helpful, to those happy only when they get tips. Example we had one really thorough room cleaning maid, and two that clearly did their minimum required. We've met some amazing restaurant staff (Katia at the front, servers Humberto, Luis, Ekran and others) and also, some only so-so - particularly the evening restaurant manager and evening greeting lady. Maintenance: We had a leak from the light fixture in the washroom that was promptly fixed (someone was sent within an hour). Unfortunately, in the process of fixing it, the washroom fan was turned off, so the washroom begun smelling of mold. Separately, we saw several times power washing of the main avenue, scrubbing of the pools and cleaning of the wicker furniture. Entertainment crew was great! They were walking around, getting to know the guests and inviting to participate in various activities and even with a baby we found several activities we all did together - dancing/work out classes near the pool during the day, the beginning of the beach party in the evening, and participating in the Lion King. They were super sweet with our daughter. Negatives: We were approached five times by staff dressed in blue, to participate in the time share. Each time it took them minimum 30 minutes to try to invite us to the (what I understand from other reviews) is 3-4 hour presentation over brunch. Even though we stayed for 2 weeks, we came here to relax, and celebrate our first year as a family. We did not want someone try to coax us into buying in a program. After the first few times, we became very wary of them and were essentially just mumbling greetings and were off on our way. Phone calls into our room to get us to meet with them for brunch was a huge "No-No" as we had our daughter napping at the time. As far as we are concerned, if you cannot sell the actual program in 30 minutes, then it cannot be such a great deal. It is as easy as that: tell me the advantages, the cost difference etc, and I might consider. But DO NOT waste my precious vacation time.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Station balnéaire spectaculaire

Nous avons apprécié tous les aspects de notre séjour, du début à la fin. Le service, la nourriture, les boissons, l'hébergement, les divertissements et surtout l'environnement étaient tous extraordinaires. Une grande expérience écologique au milieu de la faune et des ruines mayas. Le soutien et l'éducation à la culture maya ont été captivants.

Spectacular resort We enjoyed everything about our stay right from start to finish. The service, food, beverages, accomodations, entertainment and particularly the environment were all amazing. A great ecological experience in the midst of wildlife and mayan ruins. Their support of and education on the mayan culture was captivating.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Pas de déception ici !

Un complexe bien entretenu et très attrayant avec tout ce que l'on peut désirer - de belles piscines, une belle plage et des jardins paysagers. Notre chambre avait quelques petits problèmes d'entretien mais dans l'ensemble elle était satisfaisante et le lit très confortable. Le personnel était formidable - mon mari avait besoin d'un fauteuil roulant qui lui a été fourni rapidement et de l'aide était disponible à chaque fois qu'il en avait besoin. Il s'agit d'un grand complexe, mais nous n'avons  [... lire plus]jamais eu à faire la queue et il y avait des centaines de chaises longues et beaucoup d'ombre. La nourriture était très bonne, avec un grand choix au buffet et de merveilleux dîners dans les restaurants à la carte. Nous avons également apprécié les spectacles quotidiens de dauphins !

No disappointments here! A well maintained and very attractive resort with everything anyone could want - lovely swimming pools, beautiful beach and landscaped grounds. Our room had a couple of minor maintenance issues but on the whole was satisfactory and the bed very comfortable. Staff were great - my husband needed a wheelchair which was promptly supplied and help was readily available any time he needed it. This is a large resort but we never had to wait in line and there were hundreds of sun-loungers with plenty of shade. Food was very good with a big selection at the buffet and wonderful dinners at the "a la carte" restaurants. We enjoyed watching the daily dolphin shows too!
