Déçu

J'ai été très déçue par ce complexe. A première vue, notre chambre avait besoin d'être repeinte car il y avait de la rouille au plafond. Il y avait une pièce métallique à l'entrée. La baignoire était ébréchée. Il a fallu deux jours pour qu'ils allument l'air conditionné. Le réfrigérateur n'a pas fonctionné avant le deuxième jour. Le sèche-cheveux n'a jamais fonctionné. Le plafond de la salle de sport fuyait et portait des marques de fuites antérieures. L'équipement de la salle de sport était vie [... lire plus]ux et avait besoin d'être modernisé. Nous n'avons pas eu le droit à plus d'une bouteille d'eau par jour pour deux personnes. De plus, le jour de notre départ à 18 heures, nous n'avons pas eu droit à de l'eau. Nous avons dû nous en procurer au bar. Le terrain était assez bien entretenu. L'étang aux requins était stagnant. La piscine était bien entretenue. Les bars étaient bien tenus mais l'attente pour être servi dans le bâtiment principal était d'au moins 1/2 heure. La publicité et ce que j'ai reçu sont deux choses différentes. Je m'attendais à un concierge mais j'ai dû payer pour cela. Je m'attendais à une vue sur l'océan. J'ai eu une vue sur le toit. Je m'attendais à un service de chambre. Oh non, ce n'était pas pour nous. J'ai l'impression d'avoir payé beaucoup trop cher pour ce que j'ai eu. La femme de ménage était merveilleuse et nettoyait exceptionnellement bien.

Disappointed I was greatly disappointed in this resort. On first sight our room needed repainting as rust was on the ceiling. It had a metal piece as you walk in. Tub was chipped. Took two days to get them to turn on air conditioning. Fridge didn’t work till 2nd day. Hair dryer never worked. Ceiling in gym was leaking and had marks from previous leaking. Gym equipment was old and needed upgrading. Were not allowed extra water than 1 bottle a day for two people. Also on day we left at 6 pm was not allowed any water. Had to sneak it at the bar. The grounds were fairly maintained. The shark pond was stagnant. The pool was well maintained. Bars were run well but wait to get served in main building was at least 1/2 hr. For the advertising and what I received were two different things. I expected concierge but had to pay for it. Expected ocean view. Got a roof view. Expected room service. Oh no that wasn’t for us. I feel I paid way too much for what I got. The cleaner was wonderful and cleaned exceptionally well.

Bonne heure

La nourriture n'était pas trop mauvaise. Les chambres pourraient être plus propres mais vous n'y allez pas pour la chambre. La plage était superbe et la piscine était géniale ! Le personnel était amical et serviable. J'y retournerais demain si je le pouvais.

Good time The food wasn’t too bad. Rooms could be cleaner but you are not going there for the room. Beach was awesome and pool was great! The staff was friendly and helpful. I would go back tomorrow if I could.

Paradis parfait

Tout est parfait. Les installations, la nourriture et surtout l'excellent personnel. Le fait que l'hôtel soit situé entre Varadero et La Havane est formidable. L'une des meilleures plages de Varadero. Le vol par Sunwing s'est déroulé sans problème et à l'heure.

Paradise Perfect Everything is just perfect. The facilities the food and particularly the great staff. The fact that it is between both Varadero and Havana is great. One of the best beaches in Varadero the flight by Sunwing was trouble free and on time.

Un endroit formidable !

Les services de l'hôtel sont très bons et humains. Dans l'ensemble, l'hôtel valait chaque centime. Je dois dire que le personnel de l'hôtel est incroyable ! Nous avons passé de très bons moments. Eh bien, un plafonnier était mort dans notre chambre, mais cela ne nous dérange pas. La plupart du temps, nous n'étions même pas dans la chambre. Nous avons passé la plupart de notre temps à la plage et à d'autres activités. Oh, les toilettes de notre chambre avaient un peu de mal à tirer la chasse d' [... lire plus]eau, mais à part cela, tout est parfait !

Great place! Hotel services are very good and hommy. Overall, it was worth every penny. I must say Hotel staff are amazing! We had such great time there. Well , a ceiling light was dead in our room, but it doesn’t bother us. Most of time, we didn’t even in the room. We spent most of our time in The beach and other activities. Oh the toilet in our room had a bit trouble when flush, other than that everything is great!

Centre de villégiature décent

Le complexe correspondait à ce que j'attendais. La plupart des serveurs des bars, des restaurants et du service de nettoyage étaient très aimables et serviables. Le personnel de la réception aurait pu être plus utile lorsqu'on lui posait des questions sur le complexe et ses environs. Le complexe lui-même était propre et bien entretenu, et j'ai apprécié la courte distance entre les chambres et la plage. Decent Resort The resort was as I expected. Many of the servers at the bars, restaurants and cleaning were very friendly and helpful. The front desk staff could have been more helpful when asked questions about the resort and and areas around the resort. The resort itself was clean and well maintained, and I appreciated the short distance from the rooms to the beach. The food made on grills were good, but other foods were bland but manageable.

Beautiful Resort

La chambre, le personnel étaient excellents et la nourriture était la meilleure que nous ayons eue à Cuba. Nous avons adoré la plage et la piscine. Le seul point négatif est que la musique des animations était beaucoup trop forte. C'était tellement fort que nous ne pouvions pas entendre ou comprendre le formateur. Ce n'est pas nécessaire d'être aussi fort. Les invités ne sont pas loin des scènes. Plus fort n'est pas mieux. Nous avons fini par partir, puis nous avons cessé d'y aller. J'ai égalem [... lire plus]ent été déçu par les toilettes du Lobby Bar. Il y avait du papier toilette au lieu de serviettes en papier dans les toilettes des femmes. Nous reviendrons certainement Kathryn et Tim Dreher

The room,staff were excellent and the food was the best we've had in Cuba. Loved the beach and the pool. The only bad part was that the music with the entertainment was much to loud. It was so loud that it came to a point that we couldn't hear or understand the proformer. It does not need to be so loud. The guest are not far away from the stages. Louder is not better. We ended leaving then stopped going. Also I was disappointed in the Lobby Bar restroom. There was toilet paper instead of paper towels in the ladies washroom. We wil certainly return Kathryn and Tim Dreher

Agréablement surpris, très bon rapport qualité/prix.

Les chambres étaient très propres, le service était bon et la nourriture était meilleure que prévu. Très bon rapport qualité-prix. Nous avons également apprécié le fait qu'il y avait beaucoup de chaises confortables autour de la piscine et de la plage. Les options de repas étaient variées au buffet et le restaurant de spécialités était excellent. Nous avons passé un excellent moment avec nos amis.

Pleasantly surprised, great value for the money. The rooms were very clean, the service was good and the food was better than expected. Really good value. We also liked that there were plenty of comfortable chairs around the pool and also the beach. The meal options were varied at the buffet and the specialty restaurant was excellent. Had a great time with our friends.

Un très beau centre de villégiature

Nous sommes allés plusieurs fois au Melia Las Antillas et nous aimons l'emplacement et la taille du complexe, ni trop petit, ni trop grand. Le personnel est excellent, ce sont des gens vraiment extraordinaires. C'est comme si nous étions chez nous, loin de chez nous. Cette fois-ci, nous avons trouvé que la nourriture n'était pas aussi bonne que d'habitude. Cependant, dans l'ensemble, c'est un endroit où il fait bon vivre. Nous avons été un peu contrariés par le fait que nous avions spéci [... lire plus]fiquement demandé et payé une chambre bungalow avec vue sur le jardin et que nous avons été logés à l'hôtel pour notre première nuit et que nous n'avons pu prendre notre chambre que le lendemain en début d'après-midi. Je comprends que nous payons un peu plus pour la chambre avec vue sur le jardin et je pense qu'il devrait y avoir un ajustement pour le désagrément d'avoir à rester à l'hôtel pour la soirée. Ceci étant dit, nous aimons beaucoup les gens de ce complexe, tout le personnel, y compris les jardiniers. Des gens très gentils et amicaux. On ne peut pas demander beaucoup plus que cela.

Truly a very nice resort We have been to Melia Las Antillas many times and we love the location of the resort and the size of the resort, it is not too small and not too big. The staff are excellent, they are truly amazing people. It is like home away from home. We did find this time round that the food was not as good as usual. However, all in all it was a great place to be. We were a bit annoyed that we specifically ask for and pay for a bungalow garden view room and we were put into the hotel for our first night and did not get into our room until the next day in the early afternoon. To my understanding we pay a little extra for the garden view room and think there should be some adjustment for the inconvenience of having to stay in the hotel for the evening. Having said all that, again we LOVE people at this resort all the staff including the gardeners as well. Very very nice and friendly people. You cannot ask for much more than that.

Station balnéaire agréable mais ancienne

La chambre était très spacieuse et propre. La plage était magnifique ! Les cartes à la carte étaient incroyables ! Le buffet était correct. Nous pouvions toujours trouver quelque chose à apprécier ! Le pain était incroyable ! Le personnel était très sympathique ! Nous reviendrons dans ce centre de villégiature !

Lovely but older resort Room was very spacious and clean. Beach was beautiful! The a la cartes were amazing! Buffet was ok. We could always find something to enjoy! The bread was amazing! Staff was very friendly! We would return to this resort!

Superbe station balnéaire

Le terrain était bien entretenu et magnifique. La nourriture était variée. Les crevettes, les moules et le crabe étaient un régal. Si vous aimez les plats épicés, il y avait des sauces à ajouter. La chambre était grande et très propre. Le personnel était très sympathique. La plage était la meilleure. Sable blanc et possibilité de marcher sur une longue distance. Les animations nocturnes étaient bonnes au bar et sur la terrasse extérieure. Dans l'ensemble, de très bonnes vacances

Awesome resort The grounds were well maintained and beautiful. Variety of food. Shrimp, mussels, crab were a treat to have. If you like spicy food there were sauces to add. Room was large and very clean. Staff very friendly. Beach was the best. White sand and could walk long distance. Entertainment at night was good at the bar and outdoor terrace. Over all great vacatiion

Excellent centre de villégiature !

Nous avons apprécié tous les aspects de ce centre de villégiature : excellente nourriture, excellente piscine, excellents divertissements, excellent service et belle chambre. Nous avons apprécié le fait qu'il n'y ait pas beaucoup de files d'attente dans le complexe. Nous avons toujours pu trouver une place à la piscine ou à la plage. Tous les terrains de l'hôtel étaient bien entretenus et le personnel était excellent. La chambre (chambre delux) était très bien aménagée, mais commence à montre [... lire plus]r des signes d'âge (usure), et la literie pourrait être changée. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons été très satisfaits de ce complexe hôtelier et nous le recommandons.

Great resort! We enjoyed all aspects of this resort: great food, excellent pool, great entertainment, great service and nice room. We enjoyed the fact that they're weren't a lot of line ups at the resort. We always could find a spot at the pool or on the beach. All the hotel grounds were well maintained and the staff was excellent. The room (delux room) had a great layout, but is starting to show the signs of age (wear and tear), could use some new bedding as well. Overall we were very happy with this resort and would recommend going there.

Pas un bon rapport qualité/prix

Dans l'ensemble, il n'y avait rien d'exceptionnellement mauvais, à l'exception d'une chose. Il y a deux jacuzzis dans la zone de la piscine mais aucun n'était chaud ou même tiède. Et comme j'ai mal au dos, je n'ai pas été impressionné. La piscine était très belle, mais la plage aurait pu être plus propre. J'ai dû changer de chambre car dans la première, le coffre-fort et la serrure de la porte-fenêtre étaient tous deux cassés. Je n'ai pas été la seule personne pendant mon séjour à demander  [... lire plus]un changement de chambre ou même un changement de centre de villégiature. La deuxième chambre sentait le renfermé mais cela ne m'a pas dérangé. La nourriture était meilleure que ce à quoi on m'avait dit de m'attendre à Cuba. Beaucoup de variété. Cependant, ils ne semblent pas avoir compris qu'un plat de cuisson est censé garder les aliments chauds, et pas seulement tièdes. Du côté positif, j'ai été impressionné par le représentant local de Sunwing et par les guides touristiques.

Not good value for the money Overall there was nothing exceptionally wrong except for one thing. There are two hot tubs in the pool areas but neither was hot or even warm for that matter. And given that I have a bad back I was not impressed. The pool area was very nice, but the beach could have been cleaner. I had to change rooms because in the first one the safe and the patio door lock were both broken. I was not the only person during my stay to request a room change or even a resort change. The second room was musty smelling but it didn't bother me. The food was better than I was told to expect in Cuba. Lots of variety. However, they don't seem to get the concept that a chaffing dish is supposed to keep food hot, not just lukewarm. On the plus side I was impressed by the local Sunwing rep and the tour guides.

L'hôtel est correct mais pas extraordinaire. Le bar était correct. Service correct. La nourriture manquait de variété. Le service en chambre était très bon. La plage est magnifique comme d'habitude. Le terrain est très bien entretenu. Les chambres ont besoin d'être rénovées, en particulier les salles de bain

Fair resort Resort is fair but not amazing. The bar was ok. Service ok. The food lacked variety. The room service was very good. The beach amazing as usual. The grounds very well maintained . The rooms needs renewal especially the washrioms

Grand centre de villégiature

J'ai passé un séjour fantastique dans ce centre de villégiature. Beaucoup de choses à faire, une nourriture excellente et un personnel formidable ont fait de ce voyage un moment inoubliable pour moi. Je reviendrai dans ce complexe dans un avenir proche. Je recommanderais ce centre à tout le monde.

Great resort Had a fantastic time at this resort. Lots to do, great food, and great staff all made this a very memorable trip for me. I will be back to this resort i the near future. I would recommend this resort to anyone.

Excellente destination de vacances

Le terrain était agréable, les chambres étaient propres. La plupart du personnel était sympathique, certains devraient sourire davantage ! Les boissons étaient bonnes, avec beaucoup de choix. Le buffet n'était pas toujours chaud. La piscine était rafraîchissante et la plage était propre. Mon plus gros reproche serait les retards des compagnies aériennes à l'aller comme au retour. Trop d'heures passées dans les aéroports. Rien à voir avec le centre de villégiature.

great vacation destination The grounds were nice, the rooms were clean. Most of the staff were friendly, some need to smile more! Drinks were good, lots of choices. The buffet food wasn't always hot. The pool was refreshing and the beach was clean. My biggest complaint would be the airline delays both heading out and returning flights. Too many hours sitting in airports. Nothing to do with the resort.

C'est un lieu de villégiature exceptionnel !

J'ai trouvé la majorité du personnel absolument génial (en particulier Havier, Orlando, Tatiana, Miley et la dame de l'omelette - désolé de ne pas avoir retenu son nom - ces personnes se sont TOUJOURS surpassées). Les chambres étaient spacieuses et propres au point de briller chaque jour, le terrain et la plage étaient immaculés. La nourriture était décevante car les plats du buffet étaient toujours froids, même lorsqu'ils remplissaient les plateaux, ils étaient toujours froids. Le seul point p [... lire plus]ositif des buffets était les stations de pâtes, de grillades et d'omelettes, où la nourriture était préparée pour vous pendant que vous attendiez, ce qui garantissait qu'elle était chaude ! Dans l'ensemble, mon expérience a été très bonne, même la nourriture froide n'a pas fait de mon expérience une mauvaise expérience.

This was a great resort! I found majority of the staff to be absolutely awesome (specifically awesome were Havier, Orlando, Tatiana, Miley and Omelet lady-sorry didn'tget her name-these individuals ALWAYS went above and beyond). The rooms were spacious and clean to sparkle every day, the grounds and beach were immaculate. The food was underwhelming due to the fact the buffet food was always cold, even when they would top up the trays, it was still cold. The only good thing about food at the buffets were the pasta, grill and omelet stations, were it was prepared for you as you waited so guaranteed to be hot! Over all my experience was so good, even the cold food didn't make my experience a bad one.

Complexe touristique exceptionnel

Première visite à Cuba. Le Melia Las Antilles nous a été recommandé et n'a pas déçu. Le personnel est accueillant, les chambres sont propres et la nourriture est excellente. Je reviendrai sans aucun doute. Sunwing Le vol a été retardé de presque 5 heures à l'aller de Toronto à Cuba et de 2 heures au retour. La prochaine fois, j'emporterai un insectifuge, les puces de sable m'ont adoré

Amazing Resort First time visiting Cuba. The Melia Las Antilles was recommended and did not disappoint. The staff is welcoming, the rooms clean and the food was great. I would definitely return. Sunwing Flight was delayed almost 5 hours going to Cuba from Toronto and 2 hours coming back next time I would pack bug repellent the sand fleas loved me

Amazing Resort’s

Nous avons fêté nos 43 ans d'anniversaire de mariage, et cet hôtel était impressionnant par ce qu'ils ont fait avec nous, d'abord nous sommes allés au restaurant romantique pour un dîner de homard gratuit, nous n'avons pas cru que notre accueil pour nous, nous n'allons jamais oublier cette semaine tellement nous avons été supprimés, nous allons revenir bientôt, nous voulons juste vous remercier l'hôtel et notre agent de voyage Angela beaucoup et le centre de voyage

We Celebrate our 43 years our Wedding Anniversary, and this Hotel was Massing what they do with us first we go to Romantic Restaurant for Free Lobster Dinner, we just Not believe that our Welcome for us we Never going to Forget this all week so many Suppressed, we going back again soon we just like to Thank you the Hotel and our Travel agent Angela so much and the Trip Centre

Belle station balnéaire

L'hôtel était correct. Ma chambre était bien, propre et ma femme de chambre Yuvie était géniale. Trop d'escaliers à monter tous les jours et de marche pour atteindre les piscines et la plage. Bien qu'il y ait des ascenseurs pour aller de mon étage à l'étage du lobby, l'ascenseur pour aller au buffet et aux restaurants était en maintenance. Il fallait donc emprunter l'escalier en colimaçon au moins 10 fois par jour. La piscine se trouvait à au moins 5 pâtés de maisons du lobby et la plage à  [... lire plus]au moins 10 à 15. Lorsqu'on souffre d'une maladie chronique comme la PR, de problèmes de genoux ou de dos, cela représente beaucoup de marche ou d'escalade pour une journée x au moins 7 jours. Le personnel était amical et essayait d'être accommodant, la nourriture était correcte, les restaurants à la carte étaient bons. J'y suis allé pour me détendre et j'y suis parvenu jusqu'à un certain point.

Nice resort The hotel was okay. My room was fine, clean and my maid Yuvie was great. Too many stairs to climb every day and walking to reach the pools and beach. Although there were elevators to go from my floor to the lobby floor, the elevator to go to the buffet and restaurants was under maintenance. Therefore, the spiral staircase had to be used at least 10 times a day. The pool was at least 5 city blocks from the lobby and the beach at least 10 to 15. When one has a chronic condition such as RA , bad knees or back that is a lot of walking or climbing for one day x at least 7 days. Staff was friendly and tried to be accommodating, food was fair, a la carte restaurants were good. I went to relax and I accomplished that to a point.

Belle plage

Belle plage, en toute sécurité. J'ai toujours voulu goûter à la cuisine cubaine, car les gens se plaignent souvent. C'était bon, une cuisine différente bien sûr (c'est pourquoi les gens voyagent dans le monde entier) mais bonne. Il y a toujours des fruits de mer grillés, des pizzas, des pâtes au cas où vous n'aimeriez pas la cuisine cubaine. Le restaurant méditerranéen était super. La salle de bain était un peu surprenante après avoir été au Mexique. Le bâtiment était un peu vieux mais propre De [... lire plus]s danseurs et des artistes incroyables ! Je n'ai jamais vu de meilleurs spectacles que ceux-là. Des gens formidables ! Bienveillants, gentils et respectueux. Je reviendrai certainement cette fois-ci pour un peu plus de 3 jours.

Beautiful beach Beautiful beach, safe and sound. Always wanted to try Cuban food as usually people complain. It was good, different cuisine of course (thats why people travel the world) but good. There was always grilled seafood, pizza, pasta in case you don't like Cuban food. Mediterranean restaurant was great. The bathroom was a little surprising after being in mexico. The buidling was kind of old but clean, GREAT GREAT GREAT entertainment team! Amazing dancers and performers! Never seen better shows than this. Great people! Kind, nice, and respectful. I will definitely go back again this time for a bit longer than 3 days.
