Riu Guanacaste: Superbe endroit ; excellent rapport qualité-prix

Guanacaste n'a pas la réputation de Sandals Resorts mais s'en rapproche à bien des égards en termes de service, de qualité de la nourriture et d'atmosphère générale du complexe. La plage est très agréable, avec suffisamment de chaises et d'ombre si nécessaire. La piscine est magnifique. Les divertissements en soirée sont variés et adaptés aux familles. Les quêtes sont également possibles et même mon petit-fils de trois ans s'est bien amusé. Le coût des excursions est raisonnable et bien organisé [... lire plus]. Le personnel est agréable et attentif et parle assez bien l'anglais.

Great place; excellent value for your money While Guanacaste does not have the reputation of Sandals Resorts but in many ways comes pretty close in terms of service, food quality and general atmosphere of the resort. The beach is very pleasant with enough chairs and shade if needed. The pool is amazing. Evening entertainment is varied and family friendly. Quests can also participate and even my three year old grandson had a great time. The cost of the trips are reasonable and well organized. Staff is pleasant and attentive and quite proficient in English.

Secrets Papagayo Resort: Un endroit charmant et tranquille.

L'hôtel est assez agréable bien qu'il montre des signes d'usure dans le bungalow tropical où nous étions. La grande déception a été le fait que 4 des équipes de la Coupe du monde de football féminin des moins de 17 ans ont séjourné dans ce complexe, ce qui a considérablement réduit le nombre d'hôtes le soir. L'une des équipes était originaire de Corée du Nord et la sécurité autour d'elle était si stricte que personne n'était autorisé à entrer dans la propriété, sauf s'il s'agissait d'invités enr [... lire plus]egistrés. Cela m'a posé un énorme problème car j'étais là pour fêter un anniversaire important et mon fils et ma belle-fille qui séjournaient à Tamarindo n'ont pas été autorisés à venir avec nous pour fêter l'événement. C'était tout l'intérêt du voyage pour moi et si j'en avais été informée à l'avance, j'aurais très certainement choisi un autre complexe. La plage est située dans une crique, donc agréable et tranquille, et les eaux sont calmes, mais si vous voulez marcher des kilomètres sur la plage, ce complexe n'est pas pour vous. S'allonger au bord de cette piscine réservée aux adultes tous les matins en regardant l'océan et les montagnes tout en dégustant un smoothie papaye/mangue et en n'écoutant que de la musique apaisante et la brise de l'océan, c'est ce que j'espérais que le paradis soit.

A lovely tranquil spot. The hotel is nice enough although showing signs of wear in the tropical bungalow we were in. The weather and food made up for it.The big disappointment was the fact that 4 of the teams from the Under 17 Girls World Cup Soccer were staying at this resort greatly reducing the number of guests around in the evening.The night life was virtually nothing. One of the teams was from North Korea and the security around them was so tight that no one was allowed on the property unless they were registered guests. This posed a huge problem for me because I was there to celebrate a milestone birthday and my son and daughter-in-law who were staying in Tamarindo were not allowed to come to be with us to celebrate.That was the whole point of the trip for me and if I had been informed of this beforehand I would most certainly have chosen a different resort. The beach is in a cove so nice and quiet and waters are calm but if you are one who wants to walk for miles on the beach this resort is not for you. Lots of hill walking to keep you in shape but there are great little shuttles you can hitch a ride on if you prefer. Best smoothies in the world at the spa pool. To lie at that adult only pool every morning looking out at the ocean and mountains while enjoying a papaya/mango smoothie and listening to nothing but calming music and ocean breezes was what I am hoping heaven to be.

Riu Guanacaste: Vue imprenable sur l'océan et sur le complexe hôtelier

Petit complexe mais le meilleur endroit où nous ayons jamais été. Nous avons hâte d'y retourner ! Nous recommandons vivement cet endroit. Les piscines sont superbes, la plage, la nourriture, les chambres et les divertissements. Les vues sont extraordinaires et l'aéroport se trouve à une courte distance en bus.

Awesome view of ocean and outstanding resort Small resort but the best place we have ever been. Can't wait to go back! Highly recrememt this place. Great pools beach food rooms and entertainment. The views are out of this world and short bus ride from the airport.

Riu Guanacaste: un bon moment avec un personnel sympathique

L'hôtel était magnifique et la nourriture délicieuse. Les fruits frais et le paysage étaient à voir. J'ai hâte d'y retourner. Nous avons fait une excursion en bateau sur la rivière et nous avons vu des crocodiles et des singes dans leur habitat naturel

great time with friendly staff The hotel was beautiful and the food delicious. Fresh fruit and scenery was something to see. Cant wait to go back. We went on the river boat tour, and saw crocodiles and monkeys in ther natural habitat

très bien... chambres propres... personnel sympathique... les repas étaient bons et il y avait beaucoup de choix... situé dans un beau quartier....la plage était superbe... beaucoup d'excursions à faire... l'excursion en bateau fluvial était très agréable... nous avions une chambre avec une très belle vue sur l'Océan.

very nice very nice..rooms clean...people friendly..meals were good and lots of selection..located in a nice area....beach was great...lots of tours to take..the riverboat tour was very nice...we had a room with a very nice view of the Ocean.

Riu Guanacaste: L'escapade hivernale a été formidable !

Le terrain de l'hôtel était impeccable et les chambres étaient très confortables et offraient une vue magnifique sur l'océan. Il y avait de nombreuses piscines pour se rafraîchir, mais l'océan était le véritable attrait pour nous (belles plages noires, beaucoup de soleil et d'ombre). Le personnel et la population locale étaient très sympathiques !

Winter Escape was Great! The hotel grounds were immaculate and the rooms were very comfortable with great ocean views. There were many pools to cool down in but the ocean was the real draw for us (beautiful black beaches, lots of sun and shade). The staff and local people were very friendly!
