Un centre de villégiature formidable !

L'hôtel était excellent, le service était excellent, la nourriture était excellente, tout le monde était serviable, le directeur Carlos a fait un effort supplémentaire pour s'assurer que nous passions un séjour agréable, nous avons apprécié notre séjour ici et nous y retournerons certainement !

Il y a 10 ans, c'était incroyable

Le personnel et les employés sont absolument extraordinaires. Cependant, le complexe est en train de tomber en ruine. Le plafond fuit à cause de la condensation. Les bâtiments sont mal construits. Les douches sont petites, les jets ne fonctionnent pas dans les baignoires . Parfois, il n'y a pas d'eau chaude. 10 years ago it was amazing Staff and employees are absolutely amazing. The resort is falling apart though. Ceiling leaking with water, due to condensation. Built poorly. Showers are small , jets don’t work in the tubs . Sometimes there is no hot water. The beds are extremely uncomfortable, they should probably flip the mattress. Some rooms hardly any air conditioning. I guess you get what you pay for unfortunately

Pendant la saison des pluies

Tout d'abord, nous sommes allés pendant ce qu'ils appellent leur "saison humide", même si, lorsque j'ai vérifié, il n'y avait pas grand-chose à dire à ce sujet. Lorsque nous sommes arrivés, il pleuvait et il faisait sombre pendant les premiers jours. Malgré cela, le complexe était magnifique, très propre et toujours en cours d'entretien. L'homme d'Orkin venait tous les deux ou trois jours pour pulvériser de l'eau. La nourriture était délicieuse et fraîche, il y avait toujours une grande variété de choix au buffet. Je me suis souvent rendu compte que j'appréciais davantage la nourriture au buffet que les plats à la carte. Le personnel du buffet était généralement très gentil et serviable. À quelques reprises, nous avons dû chercher quelqu'un d'autre qui n'était pas dans notre section afin d'obtenir plus d'eau. En particulier, un serveur nommé Marvin n'était pas très aimable, si vous ne lui donniez pas de pourboire le premier jour, il vous ignorait, même si vous étiez assis dans sa section. Nous avons vite appris que si nous le voyions, il fallait s'asseoir ailleurs. Les chambres étaient propres et les draps sentaient bon. Le climatiseur a fonctionné à merveille tout au long du voyage, ce qui était un soulagement car l'humidité était brutale. De nombreux endroits du complexe n'étaient pas maintenus au frais, y compris le hall d'accueil où vous attendez votre navette. J'avais apporté un ventilateur rechargeable qui m'a sauvé la vie. Surtout pendant les repas à la carte où l'air était au mieux faible. Un conseil concernant les boutiques, essayez celles du côté luxe, nous avons séjourné du côté grand et il y avait deux boutiques dont les prix étaient ridiculement élevés et qui ne négociaient pas bien les prix. Par exemple, j'ai acheté deux sacs qui auraient coûté 70 $ et le gars ne voulait pas descendre en dessous de 67 $. Quelques jours plus tard, nous avons trouvé les boutiques du côté luxe, ces deux mêmes sacs étaient à 60 $ pour les deux et elle me les aurait donnés pour 50 $. En ce qui concerne les plages, il y en avait trois à ma connaissance, la plage des nudistes, la petite crique et la grande plage. Nous sommes allés à la petite et à la grande plage, elles sentaient le poisson mort, l'eau s'est éclaircie après la fin de la pluie, mais je ne supportais pas l'odeur et je suis resté à la piscine. De plus, vous n'avez pas besoin de changer la monnaie locale, le personnel et les magasins utilisent des dollars américains et les magasins acceptent les cartes mais vous font un prix si vous utilisez de l'argent liquide. Le soleil est extrêmement dur avec un indice uv allant jusqu'à 14 à 11 heures du matin, alors n'oubliez pas votre crème solaire. Appliquez-la souvent, j'ai quand même brûlé en appliquant du spf 50 toutes les heures, je suis passé à toutes les 45 min pendant les heures de 11 à 3 et c'était mieux. N'oubliez pas non plus un baume à lèvres avec spf. Les boissons sont également très bien préparées, on ne lésine pas sur les ingrédients. Dans l'ensemble, je ne retournerais probablement pas dans ce complexe car lorsque je vais dans un complexe balnéaire, je m'attends à une belle plage et j'ai été assez déçue. Si vous ne vous souciez pas de la plage, vous serez satisfait de ce complexe. J'espérais de meilleurs divertissements, mais il n'y a pas eu de spectacles nocturnes spéciaux, juste une personne jouant de la musique ou chantant. Si c'est tout ce que vous voulez, ce complexe est fait pour vous.

Went during the wet season First off, we went during what they called their “wet season”, even though when I looked it up it didn’t say much about that. So when we arrived it was raining and gloomy for the first few days. Regardless of that, the resort was beautiful, very clean and always being maintained. They had the Orkin man come it seemed like every few days and spray. The pool was clean and beautiful, they cleaned it every morning and it was very large so you weren’t always right next to someone. The food was delicious and fresh, there was always a large variety to choose from at the buffet. I often found i enjoyed tne food more at the buffet than the a la cartes. The wait staff at the buffet were generally very nice and helpful. There were a few occasions where we had to track down someone else who wasn’t in our section so that we could get more water. In particular, a waiter named Marvin was not very kind, if you didn’t tip him first day he ignored you, even if you sat in his section. We learned quickly that if we saw him, to sit somewhere else. The rooms were clean and linens smelt fresh. The air conditioner worked amazing the whole trip, which was a relief because the humidity was brutal. Plenty of areas in the resort were not kept cool, including the lobby where you wait for your shuttle. I brought a rechargeable fan with me and it was a lifesaver. Especially during some a la carte where the air was weak at best. A tip regarding the shops, try the ones on the luxury side, we stayed on the grand side and there were two shops that were ridiculously over priced and did not negotiate price well. For example I bought two bags that would have been $70 and the guy wouldn’t budge any lower than $67. Well a few days later we found the luxury side shops, those same two bags starting price were $60 for both and she would have would them to me for $50. Regarding the beaches, there were three that I knew of on the resort, the nude beach, the little cove and the larger beach. We went to the cove and the larger one, they smelt of dead fish, the water cleared up after the rain stopped but I just couldn’t stand the smell so I stayed with the pool. Also, you don’t need to exchange to local currency, the staff and shops deal with American dollars and shops will take card but will give you a deal if you use cash. The sun is extremely harsh with uv index up to 14 by 11am so don’t forget your sunscreen. Apply it often, I still burnt while applying spf 50 every hour, I moved up to every 45 min during the hours of 11-3 and was better. Don’t forget a lip balm with spf as well. The drinks are made very well too, there’s definitely no skimping on ingredients. Overall, I probably would not return to this resort because when I go to a beach resort, I expect a beautiful beach and was quite disappointed. If you don’t care about the beach then you will be satisfied with this resort. I did hope for better entertainment but there were no special nightly shows, basically just a person playing music or singing. If that’s all you want, this resort is for you.

Jolie station balnéaire

Le personnel était impoli et très lent lorsqu'on lui demandait quelque chose. J'ai demandé une couverture à 15 heures et j'ai dû rappeler la réception à 21 heures ; ils me l'ont finalement apportée à 10 heures du soir.personnellement, je ne réserverais pas à nouveau seulement parce que j'ai été à mieux.donc c'était une mauvaise note pour moi.à la sortie, nous avons eu une attente de 3 heures pour le transport et ils ont coupé le wifi tout de suite aucune chance de contacter la famille.il ne leur [... lire plus] coûte plus rien alors pourquoi ne pas le garder jusqu'à ce que nous quittions la propriété

Pretty resort It was very clean but had a awful sewer smell in evenings.The food was ok buy could be better.The staff were rude and very slow moving when asked for something.i asked for a blanket at 3pm and had to call front desk again at 9pm they finally brought it at 103o pm.personally I wouldn't book again only because I been to better.so that was a down grade for me..upon check out we had a 3 hr wait for transport and they cut off wifi right away no chance to contact family.it doesn't cost them anymore so why not keep it on until we leave property

UN CENTRE DE VILLÉGIATURE EXCEPTIONNEL

Le centre de villégiature était incroyablement beau ! Les photos ne lui rendent pas justice. Le terrain est magnifique et bien entretenu. La plage de sable blanc et les eaux chaudes et limpides étaient incroyables. Le personnel était amical et accueillant. La nourriture était superbe !

OUTSTANDING RESORT The resort was amazingly beautiful! The pictures don't do it justice. Beautiful grounds, that are well maintained. The white sandy beach and clear warm waters were amazing. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was superb!!

Incroyable

Resort était incroyable, toujours très propre, les boissons n'étaient pas à la hauteur, didn’t have the mixes and very watered down. Le ménage était parfait. Buffet la plupart du temps nous avons dû attendre que les plats soient remplis à nouveau car ils s'épuisaient assez rapidement. Mais dans l'ensemble, c'était génial

Amazing Resort was amazing, always very clean, drinks were not up to par, didn’t have the mixes and very watered down. Housekeeping was perfect. Buffet most time we had to wait for dishes to be refilled as they were running out pretty fast. But overall it was amazing

Comme ci comme ça

Le prix reflétait parfaitement la qualité de l'hôtel, mais le service et la communication étaient au mieux médiocres. Environ quatre personnes ont été EXCELLENTES pendant mon séjour et le reste n'a pas été bon ! Nous avons d'abord eu une chambre avec un seul lit et on nous a dit que nous pourrions y remédier le lendemain, mais on ne nous a pas dit que nous devrions quitter l'hôtel le matin (sans avoir de chambre pour la journée) et obtenir la bonne chambre avant 16 h... pas impressionné. J'ai ét [... lire plus]é dans d'autres stations en Jamaïque et je peux dire que le service ici était malheureusement insuffisant.

The price perfectly reflected the hotel quality, however the service and communication was mediocre at best. There were approximately four people that were AMAZING during my stay and the rest were not good! We initially got a room with one bed and were told we could have that rectified the next day but we were not told that we would have to check out in the morning (not have a room for the day) and then get the correct room by 4:00 PM...not impressed. Been to other resorts in Jamaica and I can say the service here was unfortunately lacking.

J'y retournerai certainement et je recommanderai ce complexe à d'autres personnes. Les gens étaient si amicaux, la nourriture était excellente et le service était incroyable et je me réjouis d'y retourner.

Amazing Everything was great.I would go there again for sure and I would recommend this resort to others. THE people were so friendly ,the food was great and the service was amazing and I will look forward to visiting again.

Je suis allé récemment au Grand Bahia. C'est un peu loin de l'aéroport - 1 à 1,5 heure selon le trafic - mais je recommanderais cet hôtel, qui est en fait très grand. Les chambres pourraient être plus anciennes mais sinon la nourriture et le personnel sont excellents !

Great time! I recently went to grand Bahia. It is kind of far from the airport 1-1.5 hours depending on traffic however I would recommend this hotel it is in fact very large. The rooms could be more dated but otherwise the food and staff are great!

Cet hôtel était incroyable, les gens étaient les meilleurs de toute l'expérience. Tout le monde était si amical, les chambres étaient magnifiques. Les piscines étaient impeccables. La plage est belle, le complexe est immense et la nourriture était excellente. Davina du club privilège est la personne la plus gentille et la plus étonnante qui soit. Merci à elle avant tout !

Great Resort This hotel was amazing, the people were the best of the whole experience. Everyone was so friendly, rooms were beautiful. Pools kept pristine. The beach is nice, the resort is huge and the food was great. Davina from the privilege club is the kindest most amazing person ever. Thank you to her most of all!

Des vacances étonnantes

Voici notre avis sur le GBP Terrain 10/10 - bien entretenu et rien ne dépasse. Chambres 6/10 - vieilles, dépassées, des choses qui ne fonctionnent pas. Mais vous’ne passez pas la plupart de votre temps dans la chambre donc ce n'est pas une énorme affaire. Le personnel d'entretien est très réactif. Personnel 5/10 - Cette fois-ci, nous avons trouvé que le personnel du GPH était impoli et ignorant. Cela ne veut pas dire qu'il n'y a pas d'excellents travailleurs au GBP, car il y en a plus [... lire plus]ieurs. Je me base sur les mauvaises rencontres que nous avons eues. La dame qui vend des excursions à la grande piscine a suivi ma femme dans le hall et lui a crié dessus parce qu'elle accompagnait quelqu'un qui voulait magasiner pour une meilleure affaire et la femme a dit aux autres membres du personnel de ne pas nous réserver. Si vous avez un paquet de fumée visible à 100% youâ €™re obtenir demandé pour un peu !!! Pas un mais 2 ou 3. La plupart des serveurs (hommes) n'hésitent pas à flirter avec les femmes du groupe devant leurs proches. Nourriture 9/10 - beaucoup d'options et tout est frais Piscines/Divertissement 10/10 - le personnel de divertissement fait un travail remarquable pour s'assurer que tout le monde s'amuse tout le temps. Les piscines sont bien gérées et en très bon état. Il y a toujours des chaises disponibles Beeches 10/10 - les plages sont en très bon état. Toujours des parts disponibles, l'eau est très claire.

Amazing Vacation Here’s our review of the GBP Grounds 10/10 - well kept and nothing out of place. Rooms 6/10 - old, out dated, things not working. But you’re not spending most of your time in the room so it’s not a huge deal. Maintenance staff is very responsive. Staff 5/10 - We found this time at the GPH a lot of the staff were rude and ignorant. This doesn’t mean they’re not great hardworking people at the GBP because there are several. I’m basing my review of the bad encounters we’ve had. The lady who sells excursions at the grand pool followed my wife to the lobby and yelled at her because she accompanied someone who wanted to shop around for a better deal and the woman told the other staff members not to book us. If you have a pack of smoke visible 100% you’re getting asked for a few!! Not one but 2 or 3. Most of the wait staff (men) are not shy about flirting with the women of the group in front of their significant others. Food 9/10 - lots of options and everything is fresh Pools/Entertainment 10/10 - the entertainment staff do an amazing job making sure everybody is engaged all the time. Pools are managed well and are in great condition. Always chairs available Beeches 10/10 - beaches are in great condition. Always shares available water very clear.

Un personnel formidable

C'est de loin le meilleur complexe hôtelier que nous ayons visité. Pas la meilleure plage, mais la nourriture, le personnel, les chambres sont tous incroyables. Davina du club privilège était si gentille. Jusqu'à présent, mon seul désagrément a été le personnel de Transat, nous sommes allés au comptoir et les femmes ont été très impolies et peu serviables, je ne pense pas que nous prendrons à nouveau un vol Transat pour cette raison

Awesome Staff This by far has been the best resort we have visited. Not the best beach but the food, the staff, the rooms all amazing. Davina from the privilege club was so nice. So far my only dislike was the Transat staff, we went to the counter and the women were super rude and unhelpful, I don't think we'd fly Transat again for this reason

Grand centre de villégiature extraordinaire - Manque de divertissement en fin de soirée

Le Bahia Principe est un très grand complexe hôtelier, surtout si l'on tient compte de l'hébergement de luxe. Les chambres, même si elles datent un peu, sont grandes et bien entretenues. Pendant notre séjour, nous avons eu quelques problèmes avec la chambre - pas d'ampoule sur la terrasse, douche qui fuit, lecteur de carte clé cassé - mais tous ces problèmes ont été traités efficacement et réglés en quelques heures après en avoir informé la réception. La plage est absolument magnifique et stra [... lire plus]tégiquement située dans une baie qui protège la plage des vagues les plus fortes. La piscine est grande et accueille l'équipe d'animation qui est merveilleuse. Le buffet propose un large choix de bons plats, mais les restaurants sont vraiment incroyables. À essayer absolument ! Le seul inconvénient de cet hôtel est le manque d'animations nocturnes. Le soir, au bar du hall, vous pouvez écouter de la musique en direct, mais il n'y a pas de spectacle ou d'animation. Il y avait une scène au Bahia Village et des locaux m'ont dit qu'il y avait des spectacles tous les soirs ainsi qu'un casino, mais lorsque les spectacles ont cessé, le casino a dû fermer. Heureusement, nous avions pensé à apporter un jeu de cartes pour pouvoir nous divertir, mais de nombreux clients n'ont pas eu cette chance.

Large Amazing Resort - Lacking Late Night Entertainment The Bahia Principe is a very large resort, especially when taking into account the Luxury Accommodations. The rooms, however slightly dated, are large and well kept. During our stay we did have a few issues with the room - no lightbulb on the terrace, leaking shower, broken key card reader - however all these problems were dealt with efficiently and all fixed within few hours of notifying the front desk. The beach is absolutely gorgeous, and strategically located in a bay that shields the beach from the stronger waves. The pool is large and is the home for the entertainment team who are wonderful. The buffet has a wide selection of good food, however the restaurants are truly amazing. A definite must try! The one downfall of this hotel was the lack of night time entertainment. At the lobby bar in the evening you could find live music however there was no show/entertainment. There was a stage at the Bahia Village and some locals told me there used to be entertainment/shows every night as well as a casino, however when the shows stopped the casino had to close. Luckily, we had thought to bring a deck of cards so we could entertain ourselves however many guests were not so lucky.

Des gens formidables

Les personnes suivantes ont vraiment fait la différence pour nous et ont amélioré nos vacances. Tyrel au Knife Yusheka, Kemara et Shawnie du Picasso Ramon et Trisha du Buffet. Nous remercions également Krista, du bar du hall extérieur, et Orlando, du service des divertissements. Des gens merveilleux, c'est certain. Le bâtiment et la propriété sont superbes, mais nous ne reviendrons pas dans ce complexe pour des raisons de sécurité nous ne reviendrons pas dans ce complexe en raison de ce  [... lire plus]que nous et beaucoup d'autres avons ressenti comme une mauvaise gestion, mais nous souhaitons bonne chance au personnel.

Great People The following people really made a difference for us and enhanced our vacation. Tyrel at the Knife Yusheka, Kemara and Shawnie from Picasso Ramon and Trisha from the Buffet. Also a very special thank you to Krista at the outside lobby bar and Orlando from Entertainment. Wonderful people for sure. The building and property are great but we will not return to this resort due to what we and many others felt was poor management, but we wish the staff well.

Grand centre de villégiature

Cet endroit est immense, il y a beaucoup de promenades, beaucoup de piscines et de plages différentes :). Les gens sont très sympathiques et heureux. La nourriture était correcte. La chambre avec vue sur l'océan était spectaculaire :). Les oreillers étaient plats :( Le frigo du bar était sympa :)

Big resort This place is huge, lots of walking, lots of different pool & beach area's:). People are super friendly & happy. Food was ok. Ocean view room was spectacular:). Pillows were flat:( Bar fridge was nice:)

Un endroit idéal pour des vacances en famille

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la piscine et la plage était immense et charmante. Le personnel était toujours agréable et travaillait sans relâche pour garder l'hôtel propre. Le buffet principal proposait toujours une bonne variété de plats bien préparés pour tous les goûts et tous les âges. Le restaurant de la plage proposait le meilleur poulet jerk et j'en ai mangé presque tous les jours. Le restaurant à la carte Don Pablo était de loin le meilleur des trois où nous sommes allés. J'ai pris  [... lire plus]le magret de canard et il était parfaitement cuit et délicieux. Certains commentaires se plaignent du vieillissement de l'hôtel, mais nous avons trouvé les chambres et les parties communes très confortables, bien aménagées et tous les mécanismes fonctionnaient. Dans l'ensemble, ce fut des vacances très agréables pour un groupe familial dans cet hôtel

Great place for a family vacation We really enjoyed the pool and the beach was huge and lovely. Staff were always pleasant and worked tirelessly to keep the hotel clean. The main buffet always had a good variety of well prepared dishes to suit all tastes and ages. The beach restaurant had the best jerk chicken and I ate it almost every day. Don Pablo a la carte restaurant was by far the best of the three we went to. I had the duck breast and it was perfectly cooked and delicious. Some reviews have complained that the hotel is aging but we found the rooms and public areas very comfortable, well appointed and all of the mechanics worked. In all, it was a very pleasant vacation for a family group in this hotel

Une cuisine et des animations de qualité !

Nous avons trouvé ce centre de villégiature idéal pour les familles. Il y a tellement de choses à faire et à voir pour les enfants. Nous avions l'impression qu'une semaine ne suffisait pas pour tout faire. La nourriture était toujours fraîche et très variée. Le personnel est très gentil et serviable. Nous n'avons eu aucun problème pendant notre séjour. Le seul inconvénient est qu'il s'agit d'une station un peu plus ancienne, de sorte que les chambres semblent vieilles et pourraient avoir besoin  [... lire plus]d'un rafraîchissement, en particulier les lits. J'ai vu des commentaires sur les tapis moisis, mais je n'ai rien vu de tel. Si vous voulez aller dans les restaurants à la carte, vous devriez réserver sur l'application avant d'y aller. Ils se remplissent rapidement. De plus, l'appli était très utile pour voir le programme des divertissements et la carte. Nous reviendrons ici.

Great food and entertainment! We found this resort to be great for families. So much to do and see for the kids. Kind of felt like a week wasn’t enough time to do it all. The food was always fresh and a lot of variety. Staff are very nice and helpful. We had no issues during our stay. The only downside is that it is a bit older resort so the rooms seem old and could do with a refresh, especially the beds. I saw reviews about moldy carpets but I didn’t see anything like that. If you want to go to the a la carte restaurants you should book on the app before going. They fill up fast. Also, the app was very helpful to see the entertainment schedule and the map. We would go here again.

Superbe station familiale

L'hôtel est daté mais reste magnifique, les piscines sont fantastiques, le complexe est très bien aménagé, la nourriture et les boissons sont très bonnes, la plage n'est pas très belle mais reste agréable et accessible. si vous cherchez des animations nocturnes, elles sont limitées mais ce qu'il y a est agréable.

Great family resort Hotel was dated but still beautiful , pools were fantastic , resort laid out very well , food and drinks were very good , not a great beach area but still nice and accessible. if your looking for night time entertanment it was limited but what they had was enjoyable.

Bahia principe Jamaïque

J'ai séjourné avec ma famille au grand Bahia principe Jamaïque situé à Ocho Rios runaway bay , Magnifique resort , énormes installations , grande destination d'évasion familiale , je me suis sentie en sécurité et à l'aise avec certainement recommander

Un centre de villégiature extraordinaire !

Le terrain est très bien entretenu. Les chambres sont spacieuses et propres. Très bons divertissements, avec un orchestre tous les soirs. La nourriture était excellente, très variée au buffet (homard disponible le jeudi). Les restaurants à la carte sont très bons, mais il faut réserver suffisamment tôt car ils ont tendance à être vite complets. N'oubliez pas de chercher le village Bahia Principe, c'est un joyau caché pour le shopping (beaucoup moins cher que les magasins dans le hall de l'hôte [... lire plus]l), et ils ont un magasin qui vend d'authentiques galettes jamaïcaines (super délicieuses).

Amazing resort! The grounds are very well kept and maintained. Rooms are spacious and clean. Very good entertainment and they have a live band every night. The food was awesome, a lot of variety at the buffet (Lobster available on Thursdays). A la carte restos really good, just make sure to book early enough as they tend to get booked fast. Make sure you look for the Bahia Principe village, it's a hidden gem for shopping ( a lot cheaper then the stores in the hotel lobby), and they have a store that sells authentic Jamaican patties(super delicious).
