Occidental Punta Cana: Ce n'est pas la même chose que la dernière fois

L'hôtel est daté (la dernière fois que j'y suis allé, c'était en 2000, juste après l'ouverture de l'hôtel). Le climatiseur ne fonctionnait pas, il soufflait de l'air, mais pas de l'air frais. Le premier jour, nous n'avons pas pu réserver de restaurant avant le quatrième jour, mais lorsque nous sommes arrivés au restaurant, il y avait 13 tables occupées et 27 vides. C'était comme ça dans tous les restaurants où nous sommes allés. Nous n'avons pu utiliser que 3 des 5 restaurants pour lesquels nous [... lire plus] avions payé. Chambre pas toujours nettoyée. Seulement de l'alcool local, et tout le whisky était du scotch, pas de rye. Pas de Drambuie ou d'autres alcools de qualité supérieure. Plage bondée pour obtenir une place. Le divertissement avec une fille locale qui crie beaucoup n'était pas agréable. La plage est excellente et l'eau très bonne.

Not what it was last time Resort was dated (last there in 2000 just after it opened). Air conditioner did not work blew air but not cool air. On first day could not book restaurants until 4th day in but when we did get to restaurant there were 13 tables with people at them and 27 empty. It was that way at all the restaurants that we did get to. Only able to use 3 out of the 5 we paid for. Room not always cleaned. Only local booze, and all whiskey was scotch no rye. No Drambuie or other premium liquor. Beach crowded to get spot. Entertainment with local girl who screams a lot was not enjoyable. Beach is excellent and water great.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Des vacances parfaites

Ma femme et moi avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce complexe. La propriété était très bien entretenue. Les jardins étaient bien entretenus et les employés sympathiques. L'espace piscine était propre et les serveuses s'occupaient de nos besoins....drinks. Il y avait beaucoup de places assises, mais si vous vouliez un parasol, vous deviez être sur place avant 9 heures du matin pour réserver votre ombre. Les chambres étaient nettoyées et disposaient toujours de serviettes propres, et le bar éta [... lire plus]it plein. La nourriture dans les restaurants était excellente. Le buffet était tout aussi bon que les plats à la carte.

Perfect Vacation My wife and I had a great time at the resort. The property was very well taken care of. The gardens were well groomed and the workers friendly. The pool area was clean and the waitresses looked after our needs....drinks. There were a lot of seats but if looking for an umbrella you needed to be down by 9am to reserve your shade. The rooms were cleaned and always had clean towels and the bar was full. The food at the restaurants was awesome. The food at the buffet was just as good as the a la carte.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Grande station familiale !

Ma famille et moi avons passé un séjour extraordinaire. Nous n'avions absolument rien à redire sur la chambre, les salles à manger et la nourriture était excellente. Les seuls reproches que nous pourrions faire sont que les gars de la multipropriété sont très agressifs et que, comme nous avions deux jeunes enfants, le manque d'ombre sur la plage était parfois un défi, mais il était gérable.

Great Family resort!! My family and I had an amazing time. We had absolutely no complaints about the room, dinning areas and the food was great. Our only complaints would be the time share guys are very aggressive and because we had two young kids, the lack of shade on the beach was a challenge at times but manageable.

Riu Bambu: grand centre de villégiature

Le complexe est très grand. Le service est excellent. La propreté est très bien gardée, à la seule exception de notre chambre qui avait une mauvaise odeur de vomi lorsque nous sommes arrivés. Le lit king size était deux lits poussés l'un contre l'autre ! Il n'y a pas de vue sur l'océan à cause de la disposition des chambres. La plage n'était pas entretenue à cause des algues. Le service de restauration était excellent ! Il était si bien organisé et le personnel mérite bien plus que son salaire.  [... lire plus]Ils n'ont pas manqué une miette. J'aimerais dire que je reviendrai au Riu Bambu.

huge resort The resort is very big . The service was great. The cleanliness is kept very well , with the only exception of our room had a bad smell of vomit when we first arrived. The king size bed was two beds pushed together ! They don't have ocean view because of how the layout of the rooms. The beach was not maintained for the seaweed . The dining service was great ! It was so well organized and the staff deserves a lot more of whatever their salary is. They didn't miss a beat. I would like to say I would return to the Riu Bambu .

Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Casa Marina Beach & Reef Resort

Mes deux meilleures amies et moi-même sommes allées à Casa Marina Beach & Reef Resort il y a trois semaines et nous avons passé un excellent moment. Je donnerais un 3 aux chambres, mais un 5++ à la propriété. La nourriture était très bonne, il y avait tellement de choix et tout était frais, les boissons étaient généreuses et délicieuses ! Nous avons surclassé notre forfait et, honnêtement, nous avons obtenu la MEILLEURE chambre de tout le complexe. Tout le personnel était exceptionnel, ils nous [... lire plus] connaissaient tous par notre nom, nous couraient après pour parler, rire et s'amuser. En gardant à l'esprit que nous sommes allés hors saison, il n'y avait pas de grands spectacles de fantaisie, mais c'était parfait pour ce que nous voulions pour nos vacances. Nous avons eu l'occasion d'assister à la célébration d'un mariage dominicain qui était magnifique. Notre représentant Nolitour, William, a été formidable et nous a aidés à planifier une excursion dont nous nous souviendrons toujours. Nous nous sommes sentis en sécurité en nous promenant sur la plage de Sousa et en ville... c'était très amusant. Merci de nous avoir accueillis, je reviendrai l'année prochaine à la même heure et au même endroit !

My two best girlfriends and I went to Casa Marina Beach & Reef Resort three weeks ago and we had a wonderful time. I would rate the rooms as a 3 but the grounds as a 5++. The food was very good, so much selection and everything was fresh, drinks were generous and yummy! We upgraded our package and quite honestly we got the BEST room in the entire resort. All the staff were outstanding, they knew us all by name, chased us down to talk, giggle and have fun. Keeping in mind we went at off season so there were no big fancy shows but it was perfect based on what we wanted on our vacation. We got the opportunity to watched a Dominican wedding celebration that was beautiful. Our Nolitour representative William was awesome and helped us plan an excursion that we will remember forever. We felt safe wandering around at Sousa Beach and in town...so fun. Thanks for having us, I am returning next year same time same place!!

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: beau mais propreté mais dégoûtant

La plage est agréable, les piscines sont amusantes et propres. Le buffet est vraiment impressionnant mais le ménage des chambres... dégoûtant ! Ils n'ont pas nettoyé notre salle de bain pendant toute la durée de notre séjour. Ils ont déposé des serviettes et c'est tout. J'ai parlé à 4 personnes différentes et il leur a fallu 5 jours pour réparer l'air conditionné de ma chambre. C'est dommage car s'ils avaient reconnu mon problème d'air conditionné et simplement nettoyé ma salle de bain, j'aurais [... lire plus] dit que ce complexe était merveilleux mais la propreté est un point important pour moi, donc je ne recommanderais pas.

beautiful but cleanliness but disgusting The beach was nice, the pools are fun and clean. The buffet is really impressive but the room housekeeping...disgusting! They did not clean our bathroom the whole time we were there. They dropped off towels and that was it. I spoke with 4 different people and it took 5 days for them to repair the a/c in my room. It's a shame because had they acknowledge my a/c issue and just washed my bathroom, I would have said this resort was wonderful but cleanliness is a big item for me, so I would not recommend.

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana: Un endroit fantastique !

J'ai passé une semaine au Hard Rock du 25 novembre au 2 décembre et j'ai adoré chaque minute ! Superbe complexe avec des terrains immaculés et une plage fantastique. Le service clientèle est de premier ordre et les chambres sont assez spacieuses et très propres. Il y a beaucoup de choix avec 9 restaurants (tous à la carte pour le dîner) et encore plus de piscines. Je dirais que la nourriture dans son ensemble était très bonne (excellente selon les normes de la République démocratique du Congo) a [... lire plus]vec un grand choix pour tous les types de repas. Ma femme et moi avons voyagé avec nos enfants de 12 et 14 ans et ils ont tous les deux adoré l'hôtel avec beaucoup de choses à faire, y compris une salle d'arcade gratuite et un super mini putt. Le terrain est très grand, alors essayez de choisir l'emplacement de votre chambre en fonction de vos besoins. Nous avons séjourné dans le bâtiment 4B, proche du bâtiment principal mais à seulement 4 minutes de marche de la plupart des piscines et de la plage. Les piscines sont très grandes et plusieurs d'entre elles ont des bars de nage... la température de l'océan et des piscines est parfaite. L'hôtel dispose également d'un très beau casino avec de nombreuses machines à sous et tables de jeu, ainsi que d'un livre de sport de premier ordre. Les divertissements en soirée étaient moyens à bons (hommage à Michael Jackson et spectacle de magie), mais ils étaient gratuits et les enfants les ont vraiment appréciés. C'est un très grand complexe (1800 chambres) mais malgré sa taille, on ne se sent jamais à l'étroit car il y a toujours beaucoup d'espace disponible aux piscines et à la plage... Dans l'ensemble, je n'hésiterais pas à recommander ce complexe à toute personne avec ou sans enfants, quel que soit leur âge... Je sais que nous y retournerons l'année prochaine...

Fantastic Spot! Spent a week at the Hard Rock from Nov 25 - Dec 2nd and loved every minute! Great resort with immaculate grounds & fantastic beach . Customer service is first rate and rooms are fairly spacious and kept very clean. Plenty of choice with 9 restaurants (all a la carte for dinner) and even more pools. I would say that the food overall was very good (excellent by D.R. standards) with ample choices for any type of meal. My wife and I travelled with our 12 and 14 year old and they both loved it with lots of things for them to do including a free arcade and great mini putt. The grounds are very large so try to pick you room location based on your needs. We stayed in building 4B which was close to the main building but only a 4 min walk to most of the pools and the beach. The pools are very large and several have swim up bars...perfect temperature in both the ocean and pools. It also has a very nice casino with lots of slots/tables to play and a first class sports book. Evening entertainment was fair to good (Michael Jackson tribute and Magic Show) but it was free and the kids really liked it. It is a very big resort (1800 rooms) but despite the size you never feel crowded at all as there is always plenty of space available at the pools and beach... Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this resort to anyone with or without kids of any age...I know we'll be going back next year...

Punta Cana Princess: Très bon

Le terrain est excellent, la nourriture est correcte. Je supprimerais le bar de la piscine pour que les clients ne revivent pas leur thème dans la piscine. La marche sur la plage est excellente, belle et propre, mais la mer est trop agitée pour les non-nageurs comme moi.

Very good The ground is excellent ,food is ok . I would remove the in Pool bar so that costumers would not relive theme selves in the Pool. Walking on the beach is excellent beautiful and clean the see is to rough for non swimmers like me.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Belle plage !!!

Le complexe est situé sur ce qui semble être une plage sans fin. Beaucoup de palapas et d'arbres pour se protéger du soleil, des chaises longues toujours disponibles et des boissons non loin dans les bars de la plage et de la piscine. Le complexe est propre et bien entretenu. Le personnel est aimable, attentif et amical, bien que je ressente un changement de direction par rapport à l'année dernière... peut-être moins de personnel disponible dans la salle à manger et parfois un peu à l'étroit...  [... lire plus]? La nourriture au buffet, bien qu'un peu répétitive, est bonne, et nous avons vraiment apprécié nos dîners aux restaurants Portofino et El Pescador. Le supplément pour le dîner au homard en valait la peine. Quoi qu'il en soit, c'était notre deuxième visite et nous avons été un peu déçus de ne pas avoir été informés des travaux en cours à l'ancien bar/snack-bar de la plage (il semble que Bahia peigne tout en blanc, ce qui rend même un bar/snack-bar décontracté un peu trop formel à mon goût). Du matin au soir, il y avait beaucoup de bruit de construction sur la plage "tranquille" et comme notre chambre était à proximité, nous devions l'endurer chaque fois que nous étions sur notre balcon. C'est un peu comme si nous étions en ville ! Par beau temps, la plongée avec masque et tuba parmi les récifs au large de la côte est merveilleuse ! Cependant, lorsque l'eau n'est pas claire, on peut se cogner contre les récifs avant même de s'en rendre compte... il faut donc être prudent.

Beautiful beach!!! The resort is situated on what seems to be a never ending beach. Lots of palapas & trees when you need to get out of the sun, lounges always available and drinks not far away at the beach & pool bars. The resort is clean and well maintained. Staff are gracious, attentive & friendly, although I sense a change of management from last year...perhaps fewer staff available in the dining room and sometimes stretched a little thin?? The food at the buffet although a bit repetitious is good, and we really enjoyed our dinners at Portofino & El Pescador restaurants. The extra $ for the lobster dinner was worth it. Anyway this was our second visit, and we were a little disappointed that we weren't informed of the construction going on at the former beach bar/snack bar. (It seems that Bahia is painting everything white too which makes even a casual bar/snack bar look a little too formal for me). From early morning til evening there was plenty of construction noise at the "quiet" beach and since our room was nearby we had to endure it whenever we were on our balcony. Too much like being in the city! On good days, snorkelling among the reefs off shore is wonderful! Although when the water isn't clear your can bump into the reefs before you know they're there...so be careful.

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Lieu intéressant.

La première impression du Blue Bay Villas Doradas est WOW ! Nous étions allés dans ce complexe 25 ans auparavant et c'était une amélioration. Le personnel est très sympathique, le terrain est magnifiquement entretenu, le hall et les restaurants sont très propres et accueillants MAIS...... chambres laissent beaucoup à désirer. La première chambre que nous avons occupée n'avait pas d'eau chaude pendant deux jours - ils nous ont finalement transférés dans une autre chambre après avoir envoyé un age [... lire plus]nt d'entretien pour nous montrer comment ouvrir l'eau. - très insultant. La baignoire de cette chambre était rouillée, les carreaux de sol cassés et le ventilateur de plafond était recouvert d'une couche de saleté d'un demi-pouce. La bouche d'aération du climatiseur était obstruée par la saleté, de sorte que l'on respirait de l'air vieux et moisi. La porte de la chambre était presque un pouce plus courte que l'ouverture et permettait aux insectes de pénétrer dans la pièce. La deuxième chambre était mieux, mais le ventilateur de plafond était couvert de saletés et le climatiseur avait désespérément besoin d'être nettoyé. si vous vouliez des serviettes, vous deviez demander à la femme de chambre qui vous donnait une serviette de toilette et deux serviettes de bain, si vous aviez de la chance. Ces choses ont été signalées à la réception mais n'ont jamais été corrigées pendant notre séjour. J'ai parlé à d'autres clients qui ont dû déménager 3 fois avant d'obtenir une chambre qui n'avait pas de problème. Si vous allez dans un all inclusive, alors pourquoi devez-vous payer pour les boissons au Lobby Bar ????? C'est censé être un hôtel 4 étoiles et vous devez payer pour les boissons. J'ai voyagé dans toutes les Caraïbes en séjournant dans des all inclusive de 2 à 5 étoiles et je n'ai JAMAIS eu à payer pour des boissons dans aucun des bars. Les divertissements laissent beaucoup à désirer. Ils doivent penser que nous sommes tous sourds car ils mettent la musique si fort que vous ne pouvez pas tenir une conversation avec la personne à côté de vous sans crier. Surtout pendant la journée. Je comprends qu'ils veulent que tout le monde passe un bon moment, mais tout le monde ne veut pas perdre l'ouïe. L'espace spa était la meilleure partie de cet endroit, très calme - mais seulement après que la scène principale ait baissé sa musique et ils sont situés aux extrémités opposées de la station. La plage était magnifique mais malheureusement nous avons été constamment dérangés par des gens qui essayaient de nous vendre leurs articles et ils n'acceptent pas de refus. On nous a donné les prix des excursions à notre arrivée mais lorsque nous avons essayé de les réserver, ils ont augmenté les prix alors que le prix le plus bas était sur internet. Je ne donnerais jamais une note de 4 étoiles à cet endroit.

Interesting place. The first impression of the Blue Bay Villas Doradas is WOW! We had been to this resort 25 year prior and well, it was an improvement . The staff is very friendly, the grounds are beautifully manicured, the lobby and restaurants are very clean and inviting BUT...... the rooms leave allot to be desired. The first room we were put into didn't have hot water in it for 2 days - they finally moved us to another room after sending down a maintenance worker to show us how to turn the water on. - very insulting. That room had rust on the bathtub, broken floor tiles and a ceiling fan that had about 1/2" of dirt on it. The vent for the air conditioner was clogged with dirt so you were breathing in old, moldy air. The door to the room was almost an inch shorter than the opening and allowed bugs to come into the room. The Second room we were put into was better but again the ceiling fan was covered with dirt and the air conditioner desperately needed cleaning. if you wanted towels, you had to ask the maid as they would give you one hand towel and two bath towels, if you were lucky. These things were pointed out to the front desk but never corrected during our stay. I spoke to some other guest who had to move 3 time before they got a room that didn't have problems. If you go to an all inclusive, then why do you have to pay for drinks at the Lobby Bar????? This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel and you have to pay for drinks. I have travelled all over the Caribbean staying at all inclusive from 2 - 5 star and NEVER have I had to pay for drinks at any of the bars. The entertainment leaves allot to be desired. They must think we are all deaf as they play the music so loud that you cannot hold a conversation with the person next to you without shouting. Especially during the day. I understand that they want everyone to have a good time but not everyone wants to loose their hearing. The spa area was the best part of this place, very quiet - but only after the main stage area turns down their music and they are located at opposite ends of the resort. The beach was beautiful but unfortunately we were constantly bothered by people trying to sell us their items and they really don't take no for an answer. We were given prices for excursion when we arrived but when we tried to book them, they raised the prices even though the lower price was on the internet. I would never give this place a 4 star rating.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Un excellent rapport qualité-prix !

D'une manière générale, nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour dans cette propriété. Les chambres et le terrain étaient très bien entretenus et la grande piscine était impeccable. Le buffet était acceptable, mais il est devenu un peu répétitif au fil des sept jours. Nous avons apprécié le steakhouse brésilien deux soirs, et il était exceptionnel. Le personnel de l'hôtel, en particulier le personnel chargé des activités et des divertissements, était très aimable et arrangeant. Ils ont fait du [... lire plus] bon travail en organisant des activités et en gardant occupés les gens qui voulaient participer. C'est très bien !

Great Value! Generally speaking, we really enjoyed our time at this property. The rooms and grounds were maintained very well, and the large pool was immaculate. While the buffet food was acceptable, it did become a bit repetitive over the 7 days. We enjoyed the Brazilian steakhouse two nights, and it was exceptional. The resort staff - especially the activity/entertainment staff - were very freindly and accommodating. They did a great job of organizing activities and keeping folks that wanted to participate, busy. Well done!

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Bien, mais certainement pas 5 étoiles !!!!!

Le terrain, les piscines, les espaces publics, les gens sont tous exceptionnels !!!! Chambres un peu vieillottes, buffet bon mais ennuyeux après quelques jours. Les restaurants sont une grande farce !!!!! Il a fallu supplier pour obtenir une réservation et quand nous sommes arrivés, l'endroit était vide. Ce n'est pas une grande perte, la plupart de ceux où nous sommes allés n'étaient PAS aussi bons que la nourriture du snack-bar de la plage. Ne vous embêtez pas à vous habiller, personne d'autre  [... lire plus]ne le fait et le personnel s'en moque.

Good, but definitely not 5 star!!!!! Grounds, pools, public areas, people all exceptional!!!! Rooms a little dated, buffet good but boring after a few days. Restaurants a big farce!!!!! Had to beg to get a reservation then when we got there, the place was empty. No great loss, most of the ones we went to were NOT as good as the food at the beach snack bar. Don't bother getting dressed up, no one else does and staff don't care.

Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Bon endroit. Comme à Sosua

L'endroit était propre. J'aime beaucoup ce complexe. C'est bien d'être à Sosua, on peut se promener dans la ville et aller sur d'autres plages. Le casino est proche. La nourriture était bonne. Beaucoup de variété. Les jacuzzis froids étaient agréables quand il faisait chaud. Le personnel était serviable et amical.

Good place. Like being in Sosua Place was kept clean. Really like this resort. Nice being in Sosua, can walk around town and go out to other beaches. Casino is close by. Food was good. Lots of variety. The cold Jacuzzi's where nice on a hot day. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Très relaxant et confortable

C'est la sixième fois que nous venons dans ce complexe et nous n'avons jamais été déçus. Le personnel est amical et très serviable. Le terrain est très bien entretenu. La nourriture est excellente, le See & Sea étant notre plat préféré pour le déjeuner et le dîner.

Riu Bambu: Une escapade parfaite

L'hôtel était propre. Les chambres étaient grandes et le personnel charmant. La nourriture était excellente, je recommanderais sans hésiter le right resorts à tout le monde. Beaucoup de chaises longues, on n'a jamais eu de mal à trouver un endroit idéal pour s'asseoir. L'équipe d'animation était fabuleuse.

Perfect getaway Resort was clean. Rooms were big staff were lovely. Food was excellent,would definitely recommend the right resorts to everyone. Lots of loungers never struggled to find a great place to sit. Animation crew were fabulous.

Riu Palace Punta Cana: Très bien !!!

L'hôtel était génial, j'ai adoré ! !!. Le personnel était très accommodant. Nous sommes arrivés et avons été placés dans une chambre face à un mur de briques. Nous sommes allés à la réception et avons demandé à ce que notre chambre soit changée. Nous avons demandé à la réception de nous changer de chambre, ce qui nous a permis de faire face au jardin. Quel site magnifique.

Very good!!! The hotel was great loved it!!!. The staff were very accommodating. We arrived and were put in a room facing a brick wall. Went down to the desk and asked that our room be changed. With a very small fee that changed our room to face the garden. What at beautiful site.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Villas 66 excellent emplacement propre et confortable

La villa où nous avons séjourné était propre, toujours approvisionnée en eau et en boissons gazeuses. Les serviettes étaient propres quand il le fallait. Le personnel est très sympathique et se met en quatre pour vous faire plaisir... Station balnéaire très sûre, détendue et confortable. Les animations sont formidables. La nourriture est très bonne, très variée. Très bon séjour, très relaxant.

Villas 66 excellent location clean and comfortable Villa we stayed at was clean, always stock with plenty of water and pop. Towels were clean when required. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to please you... Very safe relaxed comfortable resort. Entertainment is terrific. Food very good, much variety. Great resort to stay at, Very relaxing.

l'hôtel est propre et très accueillant, le terrain est magnifique et très relaxant. N'oubliez pas qu'il y a deux hôtels, le Casa Marina Beach et le Casa Marina Reef, mais qu'ils sont tous deux réunis. Ce qui est très agréable, c'est qu'il y a des Dominicains en vacances dans l'hôtel, ce qui est très bien et ils s'amusent beaucoup. Ils nous montrent comment s'amuser,

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Superbe centre de villégiature ! Personnel formidable !

Le site est à couper le souffle, la nourriture dans la salle à manger principale est délicieuse, avec un assortiment généreux de choix pour chaque repas. Le personnel d'animation était sympathique et ouvert. Le personnel du bar et de la salle à manger était courtois et amical. On s'est senti chez soi. Nous y retournerons sans aucun doute.

Great resort! Awesome staff! The grounds were breathtaking, the food in the main dining room was delicious with a generous assortment of choices for every meal. The entertainment staff were friendly and outgoing. The bar staff and dining staff courteous and friendly. Made feel at home. Will definitely go again.

Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: Beautiful Resort

L'Iberostar Bavaro est vraiment magnifique. Nous avions une suite sans vue (juste les autres bungalows), mais comme nous ne sommes pas restés dans la chambre, cela n'a pas eu d'importance. Le terrain est magnifique et la température de la chambre était parfaite. Tout fonctionnait bien - plomberie, eau chaude, réfrigérateur, etc. Cependant, on nous a volé 200 $US le premier jour, ce qui a un peu gâché les choses, mais tout s'est bien passé en fin de compte. L'hôtel nous a offert une excursion gra [... lire plus]tuite et la directrice, Wanda, n'aurait pas pu être plus gentille, faisant tout son possible pour nous rassurer et, de manière générale, se montrant extrêmement serviable. La nourriture du buffet était abondante et variée. Nous avons essayé deux des restaurants, mais nous avons été déçus et la prochaine fois, nous nous en tiendrons au buffet. Les boissons étaient médiocres, mais comme nous ne sommes pas vraiment des buveurs, cela n'avait pas trop d'importance. La plage est magnifique et généralement dépourvue d'algues. Nous ne sommes pas allés à la piscine, nous ne pouvons donc pas faire de commentaires. Nous avons participé à deux excursions - Horse Play, qui doit être organisé en ligne ou par téléphone car c'est l'une des excursions proposées par les stations. On en a vraiment pour son argent - une longue promenade à cheval, de la tyrolienne, une démonstration de fabrication de cigares, une démonstration de fabrication de chocolat et un repas dominicain typique. Le prix en vaut la peine. L'autre excursion était Bavaro Splash - plongée avec masque et tuba, snuba (pas aussi profond que la plongée sous-marine), et conduite de votre propre hors-bord. Très bien aussi. Les gens étaient très gentils et c'était une bonne journée. Dans l'ensemble, malgré le vol et la maladie de ma fille, nous avons passé un bon moment. Je recommande vivement l'Iberostar Bavaro.

Iberostar Bavaro is really gorgeous. We had a suite with no view (just the other bungalows), but since we hardly stayed in the room, it didn't matter. The grounds are beautiful and the temperature in the room was perfect. Everything worked well - plumbing, hot water, fridge, etc. However, we were robbed of US$200 on our first day, which kind of put a damper on things, but it worked out well in the end. The hotel provided a free excursion and the manager, Wanda, couldn't have been nicer, going out of her way to reassure us and in general, being extremely helpful. The food in the buffet was plentiful and varied. We tried two of the restaurants, but were disappointed and next time, would stick with the buffet. The drinks were so-so, but since we are not really drinkers, this didn't matter too much. The beach is beautiful and generally free of seaweed. We did not go in the pool, so can't comment. Went on two excursions - Horse Play, which has to be arranged online or by phone as it is one of the excursions offered by the resorts. It really gives you value for your money - a long horseback ride, zip lining, a demonstration of cigar-making, a demonstration of how chocolate is made, and a typical Dominican meal. Well worth the price. The other excursion was Bavaro Splash - snorkelling, snuba (not as deep as scuba diving), and riding your own speedboat. Also very good. The people were so kind and it was a good day out. All in all, despite being robbed and my daughter's getting sick, we managed to have a good time. I can highly recommend the Iberostar Bavaro.
