Dans l'ensemble, c'était de bonnes vacances. La nourriture n'est pas terrible. La seule chose ennuyeuse est la façon dont ils vous bombardent pour vous inscrire à des activités. Ils ont aussi besoin d'apprendre à gérer le temps. J'ai dû attendre 20 minutes pour que la dame vienne réserver des restaurants. Ils ont aussi un système terrible pour le wifi

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Un lieu de villégiature agréable

L'hôtel dispose d'une piscine spacieuse et propre, d'une salle à manger spacieuse et bien présentée, d'un snack-bar proposant de délicieux hamburgers et des frites chaudes à volonté, ainsi que de trois autres restaurants sur place. Notre chambre était au rez-de-chaussée, avec vue sur l'océan. Elle était propre et bien entretenue, le mini-bar était réapprovisionné tous les jours, les toilettes étaient lentes à se remplir mais ce n'était pas un problème, la climatisation fonctionnait très bien et  [... lire plus]les fleurs fraîches placées tous les jours dans la salle de bains ajoutaient une touche spéciale. Les divertissements nocturnes n'ont pas déçu et les danseurs de feu sur la plage ont donné un spectacle impressionnant. Tout le personnel de l'hôtel était amical et serviable. Les représentants des ventes de multipropriété n'ont pas été envahissants ou insistants. C'est le troisième complexe BeLive dans lequel nous avons séjourné en République dominicaine et il a été à la hauteur de nos attentes.

Pleasant resort Nice resort boasting a stunning mountain backdrop and a long stretch of beach to take a leisurely stroll, swimming pool is large and clean, main dinning room spacious and well presented, the snack bar served up delicious burgers and endless supply of hot french fries, also on site are 3 alternative restaurants. Our room was ground floor oceanveiw, room was clean and maintained, mini bar was restocked daily, toilet was slow to refill but not an issue, air-conditioning worked very well, and the daily fresh flowers placed in the bathroom added a special touch. Nightly entertainment did not disappoint and the fire dancers on the beach gave an awesome performance. All resort staff were friendly and helpful. Timeshare sales reps not overbearing or pushy. This is the 3rd BeLive resort we have stayed at in the Dominican Republic and it lived up to our expectations.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Hôtel ok/Service terrible

C'est un hôtel désuet mais si vous avez des problèmes, ils les règleront. La nourriture était correcte mais beaucoup de gens ont eu une intoxication alimentaire à cause de la nourriture mexicaine (soirée mexicaine, restaurant Maxican) Sur la publicité, ils indiquent qu'ils ont huit restaurants, l'hôtel n'a que trois restaurants à la carte, le reste se trouve à l'extérieur du complexe. Donc si vous ne voulez pas quitter le resort, vous êtes coincé avec un buffet et trois restaurants pour lesquel [... lire plus]s vous devez faire des réservations ; j'étais là pour une semaine et je n'ai pu faire des réservations que pour un seul d'entre eux car ils étaient complets. Le personnel de la réception était vraiment impoli à tout moment et n'importe quel jour. Dans l'ensemble, c'est un endroit très propre, les piscines sont superbes, la plage est agréable et le club pour enfants est une bonne chose si vous avez des enfants. Le service du buffet est terrible, surtout si vous avez des enfants. Les files d'attente pour la nourriture sont longues et la nourriture n'a pas d'étiquettes. Je donne à ce complexe 3 étoiles.

Hotel ok/Service terrible Its an outdated hotel but if you have any issues they would fix it. The food was okay but a lot of people got food poisoning from the Mexican food (Mexican night, Maxican restaurant.) On the advertising they show they have eight restaurants, the hotel only has three a la carte restaurants the rest are outside the resort. So if you're not looking to leave the restort you're stuck with one buffet and three restaurants that you have to make reservations for; I was there for a week and I only got to make reservations for 1 of those as they we fully booked. The front desk staff were really rude at anytime or any day. Overall it's a very clean Place, pools are great, the beach is nice and the kids club it's a great thing if you have kids. The service of the buffet is terrible especially if you have kids. The lines for the food art long and the food doesn't have labels. I give this resort 3star rating.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Ne reviendrait pas

Hôtel très daté, il fallait payer pour le coffre-fort tous les jours, 2 serviettes seulement, les chaises autour de la piscine étaient cassées et devaient être réservées avant 6 heures du matin ! Nous avons tous les deux attrapé un virus intestinal à la fin du voyage avec des douleurs d'estomac, des frissons, de la diarrhée et d'autres personnes sur le site ont connu la même chose.

Would not return Very dated hotel, had to pay for safe daily, 2 towels only, chairs around pool were broken and had to be reserved before 6 am! We both got an intestinal virus at end of trip with stomach pains, chills, diarrhea and others on resort experienced same.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Un paysage magnifique !

Nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances à Puerto Plata, la nourriture était très bonne et la plage et l'océan étaient impressionnants, nous ne pouvons pas attendre de visiter la région à nouveau. La station était amicale et invitante, et la piscine était très belle.

Gorgeous scenery!! We had a very good vacation in Puerto Plata, the food was very good and the beach and ocean was awesome, can’t wait to visit the area again. The resort was friendly and inviting, and the pool was very nice.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: C'était bien !

Nous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel pendant 10 jours et c'était correct.Je ne peux pas dire que c'était incroyable,mais pour le prix que nous avons obtenu,nous sommes satisfaits.La propriété est propre (pas assez de poubelles à l'extérieur cependant),le personnel est sympathique.Les chambres ont toujours été très bien nettoyées.La nourriture n'était pas mauvaise mais elle était trop répétitive et il n'y a pas beaucoup d'options alimentaires pour les végétariens ou les personnes souffrant d'allerg [... lire plus]ies alimentaires.L'hôtel lui-même a 20 ans mais il n'a pas l'air mauvais, tout fonctionnait bien dans la chambre.La plage était agréable ! Mon enfant était dans le club des enfants et Carolina était formidable. La plage était agréable.mon enfant était dans le club pour enfants et Carolina était incroyable.dans l'ensemble,je le recommanderais seulement si vous obtenez une bonne affaire.si vous prévoyez d'acheter avec un prix normal,je vous suggère d'envisager d'autres options.je ne suis pas sûr que ce soit le cas.

It was ok! We stayed in this hotel for 10 days and it was ok.I cannot say that it was amazing,but for the price we got we are happy with it.The property is clean (not enough garbage bins outside thou),the staff is friendly.The rooms were always cleaned up very well.The food was not bad but it was too repetative and there are not so many food options for vegetarians or people with food allergies.The hotel itself is 20 years old but it didnt look bad,everything worked well in the room.Beach was nice!My kid was in kid's club and Carolina was amazing. Overall,I would recommend it only if you get a good deal on it.If you are planning to buy with a regular price,I suggest you to consider other options.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Très beau centre de villégiature

Nous avons séjourné à l'Iberostar pendant 14 jours. Mon mari et moi avons voyagé dans toute la République démocratique du Congo environ 25 fois. L'Iberostar est un très beau complexe hôtelier et j'y retournerais sans hésiter. Le service du personnel est excellent et ils ne lésinent pas sur les moyens pour s'occuper de leurs clients. Notre serveur, Robert, était très attentif et nous a apporté du café et du jus de fruit dès que nous nous sommes assis. J'ai remarqué qu'une grande partie du pe [... lire plus]rsonnel travaillait pour l'Iberostar depuis 10 à 15 ans. Cela m'a beaucoup plu et il semble que le personnel apprécie de travailler dans ce complexe. La nourriture était très bonne et bien présentée. Les restaurants étaient bons et nous avons essayé les 3. Il y a un orchestre qui joue de la musique sur la plage presque tous les jours à l'heure du déjeuner. La plage était belle avec de nombreux palapas, de sorte que vous n'aviez pas à vous précipiter pour trouver une chaise. Nous avons passé nos matinées à la plage et nos après-midi à la piscine. La piscine est grande et suffisamment profonde pour qu'on puisse s'y baigner. Cette piscine est probablement ma préférée lorsque je la compare à d'autres stations. Dans l'ensemble, le complexe est très bien aménagé et j'ai apprécié la facilité d'accès pour le déjeuner au bord de la piscine ainsi qu'au bar. Dans le hall d'entrée, il y a un bar très agréable qui se trouve juste à côté du théâtre pour le spectacle. Les barmans étaient très aimables et s'occupaient efficacement des clients. C'était agréable de pouvoir s'asseoir au bar pour boire un verre ou de marcher et de s'asseoir dans le théâtre pour le spectacle. J'ai utilisé la salle de sport et il y avait assez d'équipement pour faire un bon entraînement, mais l'espace est exigu. J'ai vu le spa, et bien que je ne l'aie jamais utilisé, l'endroit était très accueillant avec des tables de massage, des chaises longues autour d'une piscine privée. Il y a aussi un sanctuaire pour les aigrettes, qui est très animé et agréable à voir. Un peu malodorant, mais il y a beaucoup d'oiseaux ! Notre chambre était très confortable et bien située dans le bloc 6000, près de la piscine et de la plage. Le seul inconvénient de mes vacances est que je suis tombée malade la deuxième semaine de mon séjour, je suis restée 3 jours au lit et il m'a fallu 2 jours de plus pour reprendre toutes mes forces. Cela peut arriver n'importe où et qui sait où j'ai pu attraper des germes. Heureusement, nous avions apporté des médicaments contre la diarrhée, ce qui a probablement aidé. Malgré ce contretemps, je recommanderais ce centre de villégiature.

Very nice resort We stayed at the Iberostar for 14 days. My husband & I have traveled all over the DR about 25 times. The Iberostar is a very nice resort & and I would definitely return. The service of the staff is excellent and they do not cut corners looking after their customers. Our waiter, Robert was very attentive and brought us coffee & juice as soon as we sat down. I noticed a lot of the staff have worked for the Iberostar for 10-15 years. I really liked this and it appeared the staff enjoy working at this resort. The food was very good and well displayed. The restaurants were good and we tried all 3. They have a live band that plays music at the beach most days at lunch time. The beach was nice with many palapas so you didn't have to rush down to save a chair. We spent mornings at the beach and afternoons at the pool. The pool is large and deep enough to actually swim. This pool is probably my favourite when I compare to other resorts. Overall the resort is very well laid out and I liked the easy access for lunch by the pool as well as the bar. In the lobby they have a very nice bar which is right beside the theater for the show. The bartenders were very friendly and efficient looking after customers. It was nice to have the option to sit in the bar area for a drink or walk and sit in the theater for the show. I did use the gym and they had enough equipment to provide a good workout but the area is cramped. I saw the spa, and although I never used it, the area looked very inviting with massage tables, lounge chairs around a private pool. They also had a bird sanctuary for egrets which was pretty lively and nice to check out. A bit smelly but there's alot of birds there! Our room was very comfortable and in a good location in the 6000 block close to the pool and beach. The only downside of my vacation was, I did get ill the second week I was there for 3 days in bed and it took another 2 days to gain my full strength. This could happen anywhere and who knows where I may have picked up germs. Luckily we brought medication with us for diarrhea which likely helped. Despite this set back, I would recommend this resort.

Viva Tangerine by Wyndham: Des vacances fantastiques

Notre chambre d'hôtel avait quelques problèmes avec l'eau chaude et la pression de l'eau dans la douche. Nous avions aussi des toilettes bizarres qui ne tiraient pas très bien la chasse d'eau.... Nous avons eu un problème avec le tuyau de la douche et le personnel de l'hôtel l'a réparé immédiatement. La plage et la piscine sont magnifiques ! Les salles à manger étaient toujours propres et bien entretenues ! Il y avait toujours un grand choix de plats délicieux, nous n'avons jamais eu faim !  [... lire plus] Les divertissements étaient bons et le personnel était formidable ! Très beau centre de villégiature :)

Fantastic vacation Our hotel room had some issues with hot water & water pressure in the shower. We also had a funky toilet that didn’t flush very well.. We had a problem with the shower hose & the hotel staff fixed it right away for us. The beach & pool area were amazing! The dining areas were always clean & well taken care of! There was always plenty of delicious foods to choose from, never went hungry! The entertainment was good & the staff were great! Very nice resort:)

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Confortable et sympathique

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour. Le personnel était très serviable et amical. Les chambres, bien que peu élégantes, étaient propres et adéquates. Nous avons trouvé le terrain et la piscine très agréables et la plage propre avec du beau sable. Le banquet de la veille de Noël était tout simplement magnifique... tant d'efforts y ont été consacrés. Quelle belle surprise.

Comfortable and Friendly We enjoyed our stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms although not elegant were clean and adequate. We found the grounds and pool very nice and the beach clean with nice sand. The banquet for Christmas Eve was just beautiful... so much effort put into it. What a lovely surprise.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Excellente cuisine et service

L'hôtel et le terrain étaient très propres. La nourriture et les boissons étaient excellentes. L'hôtel a dépassé nos attentes. Comme il s'agissait d'un complexe familial, il y avait beaucoup de jeunes enfants. La plage était toujours pleine mais il y avait toujours de l'ombre et des chaises. Nous n'avons donc pas à nous plaindre.

Excellent food and service Hotel and grounds were very clean. Food and drinks were excellent. It exceeded our expectations. Since it was a family resort, it was busy with lots of young kids. The beach was always full but there was always shade and chairs to be found. So no complaints.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Pas terrible... Plutôt 2 étoiles

L'endroit est vraiment délabré Les vendeurs sur la plage viennent constamment vers vous pour essayer de vous vendre quelque chose. Un jour, j'ai compté et en l'espace de 15 minutes, j'ai été abordé 8 fois par 8 personnes différentes. Le café, l'alcool et même l'eau semblent être une lutte acharnée. La plage était horrible. On ne pouvait même pas nager tellement il y avait de rochers et d'algues ! La seule chose qui était bien dans cet endroit était la nourriture, mais encore une fois, vous [... lire plus] faites la queue pendant au moins 15 minutes juste pour une assiette de pâtes ou une omelette. Et puis, écoutez bien ceci... Quelle que soit l'heure à laquelle vous arrivez et même si votre chambre est prête, ils ne vous enregistreront pas avant 15 heures. C'est vraiment ennuyeux parce qu'après un vol, vous voulez juste vous rafraîchir, déposer vos affaires et commencer vos vacances ! Nous sommes arrivés à 12 heures et ils ne nous ont pas donné la chambre avant 15 heures. Le pire, c'est que lorsque nous sommes enfin arrivés dans notre chambre, elle était propre mais personne n'y était entré depuis longtemps. Il y avait des toiles d'araignées partout. C'était vraiment dégoûtant et la chambre était vraiment vieille. De plus, si vous devez traiter avec Luis en tant que représentant, bonne chance ! Il prendra certainement des heures de vos vacances parce qu'il est vraiment nul dans son travail !

Not that great... More like a 2 star It's really run down Vendors on the beach are constantly coming up to you to try and sell you something. On one day I counted and in a time span of 15 minutes, I was approached 8 times by 8 different people. Good luck getting a drink here, coffee, alcohol and yes, even water seems like such a struggle. The Beach was horrible. You couldn't even swim because there were so many rocks and seaweed! The only thing that was good about this place was the food but then again, you are standing and waiting in line for at least 15 minutes just for a plate of pasta or for an omelette. Also please listen to this... No matter what time you get there and even if your room is ready, they will NOT check you in until 3 pm. That is really annoying because after a flight, you just want to freshen up and drop your stuff off and start off your vacation! We arrived at 12 and they would not give us the room until 3. The worst part was when we finally got to our room, it was clean but has not had anyone in there for awhile. There were cobwebs everywhere. It was really gross and the room was really old. Also, if you have to deal with Luis as your representative, good luck! He will definitely take up hours of your vacation because he is just so terrible at his job!

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Un centre de villégiature extraordinaire.

Ce n'est pas un grand complexe hôtelier, mais tout est situé au centre. Le terrain et les chambres sont maintenus dans un état de propreté impeccable, mais les chambres sont datées et mériteraient d'être rafraîchies. Les mini-réfrigérateurs sont réapprovisionnés tous les jours. La plage est magnifique et il y a beaucoup d'ombre et de chaises - aucun problème pour trouver une place à tout moment. Rien à redire sur la nourriture et tout le personnel est très aimable et serviable. La seule pla [... lire plus]inte est que lorsque vous demandez quelque chose à boire au buffet, la plupart du temps vous ne l'obtenez pas - pas assez de personnel pour le nombre de tables. Centre commercial situé à 5 minutes à pied avec des souvenirs et des alcools. Je recommande cet hôtel et j'y reviendrai.

Amazing resort. Not a huge resort but everything is centrally located. Grounds and rooms are kept impeccably clean but rooms are dated - could use a refresh. Mini fridges restocked daily. Beach is beautiful and there is lots of shade and chairs - no problem getting a spot at any time. No complaints about the food and all staff very friendly and helpful. Only complaint is that when you ask for something to drink in the buffet, most of the time you wouldn’t get it - not enough staff for amount of tables. Mall located within 5 min walking distance with souvenirs and liquor. Would recommend and will be returning.

L'hôtel était propre et bien entretenu, la nourriture était bonne et l'emplacement est excellent en raison de la proximité du centre-ville. Il y a beaucoup d'activités disponibles dans la région, comme l'équitation et la randonnée dans les montagnes

The hotel was clean and well maintained the food was good and the location is great due to proximity of downtown. There are a lot of activities available in the area such as horseback Reding and lointain hicking

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Incroyable !

Le complexe était absolument magnifique. Notre chambre était probablement l'une des plus belles chambres que j'ai jamais séjourné et a été nettoyé tous les jours. Tout le personnel était très gentil. La nourriture était délicieuse. Nous sommes très satisfaits de notre séjour. Nous reviendrons sans aucun doute.

Amazing! The resort was absolutely beautiful. Our room was probably one of the nicest rooms I’ve ever stayed in and was cleaned everyday. All the staff were very nice. The food was delicious. Beyond happy with our stay here. Will definitely be visiting again.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Séjour décent pour le prix

Nous avons passé 2 semaines dans ce complexe en décembre. La première chambre qui nous a été attribuée n'était pas géniale car elle se trouvait dans un bâtiment qui n'avait pas été rénové. Après quelques nuits pluvieuses, le plafond de la salle de bain a commencé à fuir. Nous avons été transférés dans une chambre rénovée plus proche de la plage, mais également très proche du restaurant avec ses ventilateurs constamment en marche et ses chariots de livraison bruyants le matin et le soir. Ce n'ét [... lire plus]ait pas un gros problème au milieu de la nuit, mais oubliez de faire la grasse matinée si vous obtenez une chambre avec vue sur l'océan dans le bâtiment 6. Le "surclassement" était assorti du prix de la participation à leur présentation commerciale et, contrairement à ce que la plupart des gens disent à ce sujet, cela valait vraiment la peine d'y assister. (Ecoutez-moi bien). Ces clubs de multipropriété/membres sont généralement une arnaque, mais il faut savoir jouer intelligemment. Les habitants de l'île semblent prendre leur temps pour tout, mais si vous faites preuve d'intelligence, vous pouvez en avoir fini en moins de deux heures. Il suffit de mentionner que vous avez besoin de passer du temps à la plage en ce moment, et c'est encore mieux si vous y allez avec des enfants. Vous pouvez toujours leur reprocher le manque de temps ;) évidemment, ne signez rien, car les offres étaient scandaleuses, mais soyez ferme tout en restant poli. Au final, vous obtiendrez des crédits pour le centre de villégiature (dans notre cas, nous avons reçu 70 $, car nous avons refusé de donner nos cartes de crédit "pour participer à un tirage au sort" afin d'obtenir plus d'argent) en plus des crédits que vous avez déjà. Nous avons fini par les dépenser en cadeaux à la boutique de souvenirs sans débourser un centime. Maintenant, la nourriture : en général, c'était le même plat principal chaque jour (surtout pour le petit déjeuner) avec quelques soirées à thème qui offraient un peu plus de variété. La plupart des plats étaient corrects, mais manquaient d'assaisonnement, ce qui est compréhensible dans un endroit accueillant autant de clients. TOUTEFOIS, chaque soir, vous pouviez trouver quelque chose de bon à déguster. Il n'y avait pas de room service, mais la nourriture était disponible presque 24 heures par jour. Nous n'avons essayé qu'un seul restaurant à la carte, pensant qu'il serait comme nos autres voyages, une perte de temps, mais nous avons été agréablement surpris par leur restaurant mexicain. La nourriture était absolument incroyable, même si le service laissait à désirer. Le Beach Grill n'était ouvert que tous les deux jours environ et il n'y avait généralement plus de nourriture au bout de 10 minutes. Piscine : il était un peu décevant de voir qu'il n'y avait qu'une seule piscine avec un bar de nage, qui était en fait à côté de la zone de la piscine réservée aux enfants :/ Plage : très bien la première semaine avec de petites vagues et pas d'algues. La deuxième semaine, elle était pleine d'algues et de plus grosses vagues, ce qui la rendait impropre à la baignade. Cependant, il y avait suffisamment de place sous les palapas ou les palmiers pour que tout le monde puisse profiter de la proximité de l'eau. Divertissement : après avoir été au Grand Sirenis au Mexique, nous nous attendions à beaucoup plus. La plupart des nuits, les animations étaient décevantes. Cependant, l'équipe d'animation de jour faisait du bon travail avec des jeux à la piscine et à la plage. Excursions : nous n'avons fait qu'une seule excursion en louant les services d'un chauffeur pour Puerto Plata, comme nous l'avait recommandé notre serveur, Nelson (un homme charmant, si vous le trouvez. Il s'est bien occupé de nous pendant les repas). Cependant, la plupart de ce voyage a été passé à être traîné d'un magasin à l'autre afin d'acheter des choses à ses amis ou d'être passé à des "guides" locaux qui non seulement ne savaient pas grand chose, mais attendaient de l'argent pour leurs services minables. La seule partie intéressante a été la montée en téléphérique et la visite du fort de la ville, que nous avons faites par nos propres moyens. Dans l'ensemble, je donnerais 3 étoiles sur 5 à cette expérience.

Decent stay for the money We spent 2 weeks at this resort in December. The first room we were assigned wasn't great as it was in a building that hasn't been renovated. After a couple of rainy nights bathroom ceiling started leaking. We got moved to a renovated room closer to the beach, but also very close to the restaurant with its constantly running fans and noisy delivery carts in the morning and evening. This wasn't a huge issue in the middle of the night, but forget about sleeping in if you get an ocean view room in building 6. The "upgrade" came with a price of attending their sales presentation and contrary to what most people would say about those, it was actually worth attending. (Bare with me for a minute). Those time share/members clubs are generally a scam, but you just have to play it smart. The islander seem to take their time with everything, but if you play it smart you can be done with it within 2 hours. Just keep mentioning that you need to be spending time at the beach right now and even better if you go in with kids. You can always blame lack of time on them ;) obviously don't sign anything, as the offers were outrageous, but be firm yet polite about it. In the end you will get resort credits (in our case we got $70, as we refused to give our credit cards "to enter into a draw" to get more $) on top of whatever credits you already have. We ended up spending them all on gifts at the gift shop without paying a cent. Now the food: generally it was the same main fare each day (especially for breakfast) with some theme nights providing bit more variety. Most dishes were ok, but lacked seasoning, which is understandable in a place catering to so many guests. HOWEVER each night you could find something good tasting. There was no room service, but food was available almost 24hrs a day. We tried only 1 restaurant a la carte thinking it would be like our other trips when they were a waste of time but we were pleasantly surprised with their Mexican restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing, even if service was bit lacking. Beach grill was open only every other day or so and they would usually run out of food after 10 minutes. Pool: it was bit disappointing to see only 1 pool that also had a swim up bar, which was actually next to the kid's area of the pool. :/ Beach: great for the first week with small waves and no seaweed. Second week, it was full of seaweed and bigger waves, which made it unsuitable for swimming. However there was enough room under the palapas or the palm trees for everybody just to enjoy being close to water. Entertainment: having been to grand sirenis in Mexico we were expecting a lot more. Most nights the entertainment was disappointing. However the daytime animation crew was doing a good job with games at the pool and beach area. Trips: we only took 1 trip when we hired a driver to Puerto Plata as recommended by our server, Nelson (lovely man, if you get him. He took a good care of us during meals). However most of that trip was spent being dragged from a store to a store in order to buy things from his friends or being passed onto local "guides" who not only didn't know much, but were expecting money for their lousy services. The only good part was the cable car ride and visiting the fort in the city, which we did on our own. Overall I would give the experience 3 out of 5 stars.

Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort: L'un des meilleurs hôtels de la République tchèque

Je vais en RD depuis de nombreuses années et cet hôtel est de loin l'un des plus grands dans lesquels j'ai séjourné. Lifestyles est un magnifique complexe bien entretenu avec un personnel merveilleux. Le buffet était excellent, les boissons délicieuses, les spectacles divertissants, les chambres propres. Dans l'ensemble, je lui donne une note de 8 sur 10. Il y a deux ou trois choses qui m'ont déplu. Mon mini-frigo n'a pas été réapprovisionné tous les jours comme annoncé, la pression de l'eau dan [... lire plus]s la douche n'était pas très bonne, j'ai été très malade après avoir mangé dans le restaurant chinois (je me suis donc contenté du buffet) Je n'ai pas non plus apprécié le fait qu'il n'y ait pas de chaises longues sur la plage. Je suis une habituée de la plage et j'aime avoir ma chaise sur le sable lorsque je sors de l'eau. Il fallait demander à la sécurité de vous en passer une par-dessus le mur, puis la traîner le long de la plage jusqu'à l'endroit où vous vouliez vous asseoir. Ce sont des problèmes mineurs qui n'ont en rien gâché mes vacances. Le seul autre inconvénient concerne les personnes ayant des problèmes de mobilité. Le complexe est tellement grand et il y a des centaines de voiturettes de golf, mais tout le monde n'a pas accès à ces voiturettes si l'on n'est pas VIP, et il est donc difficile de se déplacer. Il y a une navette mais je crois qu'elle passe toutes les 25 minutes donc on passe beaucoup de temps à attendre pour aller d'un endroit à l'autre dans le resort.

One of the best Hotels in DR I have been going to the DR for many years and this Hotel by far is one of the biggest I have ever stayed at. Lifestyles is a beautiful well maintained resort with wonderful staff. Food at the buffet was great, drinks were delicious, shows were entertaining, rooms were clean. Overall I would give it an 8 out of 10. There were a couple of things that I was not pleased with. My mini fridge was not restocked daily as advertised, water pressure in the shower was not that great, I got very sick after eating in the Chinese restaurant (so just stuck to the buffet) I also didn't like the fact that there were no lounge chairs on the beach. I am a beach person and like to have my chair down on the sand for when I come out of the water. You had to ask security to pass one to you over the wall and then you had to drag it along the beach to where you wanted to sit. These were all minor problems and in no way ruined my vacation. Only other downfall is for people with mobility issues. The resort is so big and there are hundreds of golf carts but not everyone has access to use them if you are not VIP so it's hard to get around. There is a shuttle but I believe it runs every 25 minutes so u do spend a lot of time waiting around to get from place to place within the resort.

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Il y a toujours quelque chose à faire et il n'est pas nécessaire de quitter le centre de villégiature

J'y suis allé plusieurs fois, c'est un endroit génial, il y a toujours quelque chose à faire, j'ai été dans 10 piscines différentes, je rencontre toujours des gens différents. Les spectacles nocturnes sont incroyables, du Coliseum au Dome, il y a toujours quelque chose de différent. J'y vais pour le beau temps et la chaleur, j'ai pu rencontrer beaucoup de gens différents de toutes les parties du monde. Les employés sont très spéciaux et toujours heureux, du balayeur à la réceptionniste. Il y a t [... lire plus]rop de gens pour les nommer, tous formidables et respectueux, j'adore cet endroit et je continuerai à y aller.

Always something to do don't have to leave resort Ive been there few times great place always something to do been to 10 different pools always meet different people. Night shows amazing from the Coliseum to the Dome always something different. I go for the weather beautiful and hot get to met many different people form all parts world. The workers are very special always happy from someone sweeping the grounds to the girl at the desk. to many people to name all great people with respect i love the place and will continue to go there.

Playabachata Hotel: Pas pour les amateurs de café

L'hôtel était agréable, les chambres étaient confortables et tout fonctionnait. Le terrain était impeccable. Le personnel était très aimable avec nous, touristes étrangers, mais pas avec les clients locaux qui ont séjourné pendant le week-end. Cela m'a mis un peu mal à l'aise, car j'estime qu'un centre de villégiature n'est pas un endroit où l'on peut faire ce genre de distinction de classe - un invité est un invité. Je voyage habituellement à Cuba et c'était donc mon premier voyage en Républiq [... lire plus]ue dominicaine. Au début, j'ai été impressionné et je l'ai appelé en plaisantant "Cuba VIP". J'ai changé d'avis lorsque j'ai essayé d'obtenir une tasse de cappuccino décente. Il n'y en avait pas. Il y avait du café dans des distributeurs automatiques où le cappuccino était préparé à partir d'un mélange instantané. (En comparaison, tous les hôtels cubains 2 étoiles ont une machine à café italienne et savent s'en servir) Un autre aspect de cette histoire est qu'il y avait un café spécial à l'hôtel Senator, à quelques pas de ma chambre. Mais c'est là que la distinction entre les classes sociales entre en jeu. Bien que les deux hôtels, nous a-t-on dit, appartiennent à la même société, nous n'avions pas droit au même café. En tant que client de Playa Bachata ayant une bande rouge, je pouvais obtenir un expresso, mais pour un cappuccino, il me fallait une bande de couleur différente de celle du sénateur. Au début, j'étais prêt à l'accepter et j'ai dit que je paierais volontiers pour le café, mais ils n'acceptaient pas d'argent. Pour percer ce mystère, vous devez comprendre qu'il existe une société appelée Ultimate Leisure Club qui veut vous vendre une adhésion qui fait de vous un VIP et qu'un cappuccino serait alors l'un des avantages. Je suis allé à leur présentation, mais ils n'étaient pas contents de moi parce que je n'ai pas donné ma carte de crédit qui aurait été ''nécessaire'' pour recevoir le cadeau gratuit. J'ai refusé le cadeau. Les appartements qu'ils nous ont montrés étaient impressionnants mais évidemment au-dessus de mon budget. Nous avons également eu le sentiment inquiétant que nous étions les seuls vrais clients potentiels et que les autres clients potentiels étaient des employés qui jouaient la comédie. Bien sûr, je ne peux pas le prouver, mais mon estomac nauséeux m'a dit de me méfier.

Not for Coffee Lovers The hotel was nice, the rooms were comfortable and everything worked. The grounds were immaculate. The staff was very friendly to us foreign tourists, but not so friendly to the local guests who stayed over the weekend. This made me feel a bit uncomfortable because I feel that a resort is not a place to make these kind of class distinctions --a guest is a guest. I usually travel to Cuba so this was my first trip to the Dominican Republic. At first I was impressed and jokingly called it "Cuba VIP". I changed my mind when I tried to get a decent cup of cappuccino. It was not to be had. They had ''vending machine'' coffee where the cappuccino is from an instant mix. (In comparison, every Cuban 2 star hotel has an Italian coffee machine and they know how to use it.) Another twist in this tale is that there was a special coffee shop at the Senator hotel, just a few steps from my room. But here class distinction came into play again. Although both hotels, we were told, belong to the same company, we were not entitled to the same coffee. As a red-band guest from Playa Bachata, I could get an espresso, but for a cappuccino I would need a different color band from the Senator. At first I was willing to accept that and said that I would gladly pay for the coffee, but they would not accept money. To uncover this mystery you need to understand that there is a company called Ultimate Leisure Club that wants to sell you a membership which then makes you a VIP and a cappuccino would then be one of the benefits. I went to their presentation, but they weren't happy with me because I didn't hand over my credit card which would have been ''necessary'' to receive the free gift. I declined the gift. The apartments they showed us were impressive but obviously over my budget. We also had an ominous feeling that we were the only real prospects there and that the other potential prospects were employees who were play acting. Of course I can't prove that but my queasy stomach warned me to watch out.

Casa Marina Reef Resort: Notre maison loin de la maison et encore plus...

C'était la 12e semaine que je me rendais dans ce centre de villégiature. Six fois x 2 semaines à chaque fois. Nous adorons ce complexe et Sosua. Avec les rénovations de ces deux dernières années (et toujours en cours), l'hôtel a été rafraîchi et est tout simplement charmant. La nourriture est fabuleuse, tout comme le terrain et le personnel. Nous avons hâte d'y retourner en 2020.

Our home away from home and then some... This was the 12th week that I've gone to this resort. Six times x 2 weeks each time. We just love this resort and Sosua. With the renovations over the past couple of years (and still ongoing), it's refreshed and just so lovely. The food is fabulous, as are the grounds and the staff. We look forward to going again in 2020.
