Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Personnel mécontent

L'hôtel était correct, mais le personnel semblait mécontent et se montrait souvent désagréable. À mon retour de vacances, j'ai discuté avec plusieurs personnes et presque toutes m'ont fait part de la même expérience en République dominicaine, quel que soit l'hôtel ou le complexe où elles avaient séjourné. C'est peut-être une question de culture : ils ne savent tout simplement pas ce qu'est le service client.

Unhappy staff The hotel was good enough, but the workers seem to be unhappy and often rude. When I came back from vacation, I talked to people and almost everyone had the same experience with Dominican Republic doesn’t matter to which hotel or resort they went to. This may be a cultural thing where they don’t know what means customer service.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Détente

Un complexe hôtelier impeccablement propre, tant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur, avec un service exceptionnel. J'y retournerais sans hésiter. Le soleil est roi : il a brillé sans discontinuer pendant les sept jours. Évitez les fans canadiens-français, car ils peuvent se montrer pour le moins agaçants.

Relaxing Very clean resort inside out with exceptional service. Would return again . The sun is king as it was amazing all 7 days. Keep the French Canadian fans away as they can be quit iratainting to say the least.

Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort: Un superbe complexe hôtelier !

Nous avons tout trouvé formidable : la chambre, les boissons et les repas dans les restaurants italien, steakhouse et asiatique, ainsi que les buffets (notre préféré était le Goldfish) ; les piscines et la plage. L'éclairage du domaine est spectaculaire ! Nous n'avons pas opté pour la formule « Unique » et nous n'avons pas l'impression d'avoir manqué quoi que ce soit.

Beautiful Resort! We thought everything was amazing, the room; drinks and dining at the Italian, Steakhouse and Asian restaurants and the buffets (our preference was the Goldfish); the pools and the beach. The lights around the grounds are spectacular! We did not upgrade to Unique and don't feel like we missed out on anything.

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Un bon rapport qualité-prix, une cuisine délicieuse et un séjour relaxant en basse saison

Dans l'ensemble, nous avons passé un séjour agréable et avons trouvé que le complexe offrait un bon rapport qualité-prix, surtout pendant la première semaine de mai, où il y avait très peu de monde. La nourriture a été l'un des points forts de notre voyage, avec des buffets savoureux, de bons plats à la carte lorsqu'ils étaient disponibles et d'excellentes grillades. La plage était propre, facile d'accès et jamais trop bondée, et nous avons également bénéficié d'un excellent service de la part d [... lire plus]e Yulianna et du personnel du bar. Cela dit, le complexe aurait besoin de quelques rénovations, notamment dans les chambres et autour des piscines, et il n'y avait pas assez de parasols pour s'abriter du soleil à la plage et à la piscine. Comme c'était la basse saison, certains restaurants, activités et animations étaient limités, et la communication concernant les annulations aurait pu être bien meilleure (lorsqu'il y avait des réunions du personnel). La chambre elle-même était propre, calme et confortable, avec une climatisation et de l'eau chaude qui fonctionnaient bien. Ainsi, même si le complexe ne donne pas une impression de luxe, le séjour a tout de même été agréable et relaxant.

Good value, great food, and a relaxing low-season stay We had an enjoyable stay overall and felt the resort offered good value for the price, especially during the first week of May when it was very quiet. The food was one of the highlights of our trip, with tasty buffet options, good à la cartes when available, and excellent grilled items. The beach was clean, easy to enjoy, and never too crowded, and we also received excellent service from Yulianna and the bar staff. That said, the resort could use some updates, particularly in the rooms and pool areas, and there were not enough umbrellas for shade at the beach and pool. Since it was low season, some restaurants, activities, and entertainment were limited and communication about cancellations could have been much better (when there were staff meetings being held). The room itself was clean, quiet, and comfortable, with working AC and hot water, so while the resort may not feel luxurious, it was still a pleasant and relaxing stay.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Un bon complexe hôtelier

C'est la première fois que je viens à Puerto Plata, où je passe une semaine de vacances (du 11 au 18 mai) dans ce complexe hôtelier. Voici quelques impressions que je souhaitais partager afin de vous aider à organiser vos vacances. Je me suis déjà rendu plusieurs fois en République dominicaine dans des complexes 5 étoiles à Punta Cana et j'étais curieux de découvrir Puerto Plata. J'ai fait mon choix en me basant sur les avis de voyageurs qui s'y étaient rendus au cours des six derniers mois, to [... lire plus]ut en tenant compte de certains commentaires négatifs. J'ai choisi Gran Ventana sur les conseils de l'agent de Tripcentral et je suis très satisfait de ses recommandations. Pour un complexe 4 étoiles, cet endroit est incroyable en termes de service, de cuisine et de plage. La chambre est vieillotte mais bien entretenue (la climatisation fonctionne bien). Les animations sont limitées, tout comme les activités quotidiennes à la piscine et à la plage. Dans l'ensemble, c'est acceptable, et je le recommanderais.

Good Resort Being at this resort for a week-long vacation (May 11 - 18) for a first time in Puerto Plata, here are some thoughts that I wanted to share so that you can plan your vacation. I've visited D.R. many times at 5-star resorts in Punta Cana and am curious about Puerto Plata. My selections were based on reviews from travelers who had been there for the last six months with some judgements towards unpleasant feedback. I chose Gran Ventana with the Tripcentral' agent's advice and am very satisfied with her recommendations. For 4-star resort, this place is amazing in terms of service, delicacies and beach. Room is outdated but kept clean (Air conditioning is working fine). Entertainment is limited as well as daily activities at the pool and beach. Overall is acceptable, and I would recommend it.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Les plus beaux jardins

L'hôtel est bien agencé, les espaces extérieurs sont bien entretenus et bien éclairés la nuit. Les chambres auraient besoin d'un petit rafraîchissement. Le buffet est impressionnant. Et bien sûr, la plage de Bavaro est magnifique. J'aurais aimé que l'on serve des boissons de meilleure qualité, si l'hôtel se présente comme un établissement 5 étoiles, et que les clients n'aient pas à les payer.

Most beautiful grounds The hotel is well laid out grounds are well kept well lit at night. The rooms can do with a little touch up. Impressive buffet. And of course the Bavaro beach is wonderful. Would like to have seen better quality drinks served if the hotel is claiming to be a 5 star and not have your guest pay for them.

TRS Turquesa: Excellent choix !

Nous avons passé deux semaines formidables dans ce complexe du 25 avril au 9 mai. Nous sommes un couple d'une soixantaine d'années, et tout dans cet établissement était exceptionnel : la cuisine, les chambres et le service figuraient parmi les meilleurs que nous ayons jamais connus lors de nos séjours dans les Caraïbes. Notre majordome, Jean, était excellent et a répondu à tous nos besoins. Angela et Stéphanie, de Helios, étaient formidables et ont toujours pris soin de nous dès notre arrivée. L [... lire plus]es barmans et les serveuses étaient très attentifs et toujours souriants. Nous n'avons jamais dû attendre longtemps pour la navette et les chauffeurs étaient toujours aimables et polis. Dans l'ensemble, ce fut une expérience formidable et nous reviendrons sans aucun doute.

Great Choice! We spent 2 amazing weeks at this resort from April 25 to May 9, we are a couple in our early 60's, everything about this resort was amazing, food, rooms and service were some of the best we have ever experienced at any of our Caribbean destinations. Our butler Jean was excellent and catered to our every need, Angela and Stephanie at Helios were amazing and always looked after us when we arrived, the bartenders and waitresses were very attentive and always had a smile. Never a long wait for a shuttle and the drivers were always friendly and polite, overall a great experience and we will definitely return.

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: Une station géniale

Cet hôtel correspondait exactement à ce que nous recherchions : un cadre magnifique, une cuisine excellente, des installations bien entretenues, des chambres propres et spacieuses. Le seul bémol, ce sont les algues, mais cela n'a rien à voir avec l'hôtel, et le personnel s'est vraiment donné à fond chaque jour pour les nettoyer. Je recommande sans hésiter cet hôtel et nous y retournerons !

Awesome resort Resort was exactly what we had wanted beautiful resort great food well kept property rooms were clean and spacious the only downside was the sea weed but of no fault of the resort and the staff worked really hard every day to clean it up . Would def recommend this resort and we will be returning !

Magnifique, propre et élégant… Ce complexe emploie un personnel qui se soucie vraiment de la qualité de votre séjour. Les lits sont confortables, les chambres spacieuses et impeccables. Un large choix de restaurants s'offre à vous selon vos envies… sans oublier le café ouvert 24h/24 pour prendre un verre ou grignoter un morceau ! Partout où l'on regardait, le personnel s'affairait à entretenir les magnifiques jardins ou à nettoyer les allées au jet haute pression. Great Place for R&R Beautiful, clean and elegant…this resort employs people who really care about your vacation experience. The beds are comfortable, the rooms spacious and clean. Wide variety of restaurants to choose from depending on your mood…24 hour coffee shop for drinks and snacks too! Everywhere you looked, staff were busy maintaining the beautiful grounds or power washing the walkways. Lots of entertainment if you want it or quiet spaces if not. Live music at the lobby bar every night if you wanted to have a nightcap. Lots to do for the kiddies as well, water play area and different planned activities nightly…something for everyone!

Viva Miches by Wyndham: Un complexe hôtelier magnifique

La propriété est magnifique, le personnel est formidable et toutes vos attentes seront comblées. Les chambres sont très confortables et impeccables. La cuisine est délicieuse et les restaurants à la carte sont exceptionnels. Le café sert un délicieux cappuccino. Vous apprécierez la présence des chats qui vivent sur place.

Wonderful resort The property is beautiful, the staff are amazing and all of your expectations will be exceeded. The rooms are so comfortable and spotless.The food is delicious and the a la cart restaurants are outstanding.The coffee shop makes a delicious cappuccino. You will enjoy the cats living on the property.

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Melia Caribe

Nous avions initialement réservé au Punta Cana Beach, un établissement réservé aux adultes, mais l'autre couple de notre groupe s'était trompé et avait réservé au Caribe Family Resort. Comme il n'y avait plus de chambre disponible au Punta Cana Beach, nous avons été transférés au Caribe, qui est un complexe familial. Nous avons passé un séjour formidable et n'hésiterions pas à y réserver à nouveau.

Originally booked at the adults only Punta Cana Beach but the other couple in our party booked Caribe Family resort in error. Punta Cana Beach had no room we moved to the Caribe side which is a family resort. We had a wonderful time and would not hesitate to book there again.

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Station moyenne

Nous avons fait de notre mieux pour profiter de notre semaine au Grand Sirenis. Cet hôtel ne mérite vraiment pas une bonne note. La nourriture n’était pas terrible. Aucune attention n’a été portée aux besoins alimentaires particuliers. Mon ami a eu une intoxication alimentaire qui a duré deux jours. Nous avons trouvé les piscines très sales et la plupart d’entre elles sont assez profondes. Un jour, il y avait du vomi dans la piscine peu profonde. Le personnel est formidable, en particulier Ana a [... lire plus]u buffet et Anthony au bar de la réception. Il y a bien des spectacles le soir, mais tout est pratiquement fermé dès 23 h. Ce serait sympa de pouvoir danser ou profiter un peu de la vie nocturne. Le complexe est immense, donc si vous avez des problèmes de mobilité, je vous déconseille cet endroit.

Average Resort We made the best our our week at Grand Sirenis. This resort should definitely not be rated high. The food was not the best. There was no consideration for dietary needs. My friend got food poisoning for two days. We found the pools to be very dirty and the majority of the pool is fairly deep. One day the shallow pool had throw up in it. The employees are wonderful, especially Ana at the buffet and Anthony at the front bar. They do have shows in the evening, however everything pretty much shuts down by 11:00. It would be nice to be able to dance or have a bit of night life. The resort is huge so if you have mobility issues, I would avoid this one.

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: Un complexe hôtelier fantastique !

Tout le complexe était propre, le personnel était sympathique et toujours prêt à répondre à nos besoins ! La cuisine était excellente et la plage magnifique ! Nous avons rencontré des gens formidables pendant nos vacances. Nous avons l'intention d'y retourner très bientôt.

Fantastic Resort! The entire resort was clean, the staff were friendly and more than happy to take care of our needs! The food was excellent and the beach beautiful! We met some wonderful people while there on vacation. We are planning on going back very soon.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: C'est ça, c'est ça, c'est ça

Nous avons eu la chance de ne pas avoir une goutte de pluie pendant la journée pendant 10 jours. De la réservation effectuée auprès de Cindy jusqu'à la fin du séjour, tout s'est déroulé à la perfection, à commencer par le vol WestJet. Nous avons déjà séjourné dans quatre autres complexes GBP, mais celui-ci était fantastique. Un complexe magnifique, avec de superbes jardins, des chambres impeccables et un service irréprochable. Un excellent rapport qualité-prix.

Sun Sun Sun We enjoyed 10 days of zero rain during the day. From booking with Cindy, to the end the trip was flawless starting with the WestJet flight. We have been to four other GBP resorts and this one was fantastic. Beautiful Resort, grounds, rooms, and service. Great value.

Viva V Samana by Wyndham: Une superbe expérience à la plage !!

Nous avons séjourné dans ce complexe du 9 au 16 mai. Les lieux étaient très bien entretenus et propres. La plage est l'une des plus belles que j'aie jamais vues ; la proximité du bar-restaurant de plage et des toilettes nous a permis de profiter pleinement de la plage. J'ai également apprécié le service de plage de type « majordome » qui nous a été proposé pour les boissons. La piscine était propre. L'absence de bar au bord de la piscine était un plus à mes yeux. Il y avait de nombreuses activi [... lire plus]tés à essayer pendant la journée, sans aucune pression, ce qui rendait l'expérience encore plus attrayante. La nourriture était bonne dans l'ensemble. Le choix était vaste et les croissants étaient à tomber par terre. Le bar 24/7 du hall était bien approvisionné en collations, café et thé, et le personnel du bar était très sympathique. Les animations étaient sur le thème de la musique toute la semaine et très agréables. Le service était fantastique aux trois restaurants à la carte ; les plats étaient bien présentés et frais. Le steak était de loin le meilleur que j’aie mangé sur l’île. Nous avons voyagé avec Sunwing ; dans l’ensemble, notre représentante Maria était très sympathique et serviable. Nous avons pu la contacter via WhatsApp, ce qui était pratique. Dans l’ensemble, je reviendrais dans ce complexe. Mais j’aimerais également voir des améliorations sur les points suivants. Le service en général, en particulier au buffet, laissait à désirer : nous devions établir un contact visuel et demander le service la plupart du temps, mais lorsque nous l’obtenions, il était bon, ce qui valait pour l’ensemble du personnel en général. De plus, il y avait une partie sur la multipropriété que nous avons accepté d'explorer. J'apprécie et je comprends que vous souhaitiez conclure des affaires, mais on nous a demandé de participer à une séance d'une heure qui a fini par durer près de trois heures. Je pense que l'approche pourrait être différente : après la première heure, si la réponse est non, alors la réponse est non.

Beautiful Beach Experience!! We stayed at this resort the week of May 9 to the 16th. The resort grounds were very well kept clean. The beach is one of the best I’ve experienced the convenience of the beach bar restaurant and washroom facilities close by made it much easier to enjoy the beach as much as possible I also appreciated the Butler style beach service we received for drinks The pool was kept clean. The fact that there was no pool bar was a plus in my eyes. There were many activities to try during the day without pressure, which made it even more inviting The food in general was good. A lot of selection croissants were to die for the 24 seven bar at the lobby was well stocked with snacks, coffee tea, and the bar staff were very friendly. Entertainment was music themed all week long and quite enjoyable fantastic service was given at the three à la carts food was well presented and fresh Steak was by far the best I’ve had on the island We travelled with Sunwing overall our representative Maria was very friendly and helpful. We were able to contact her using WhatsApp, which was convenient. overall I would return to this resort. But would also like to see improvement on the following. Service in general, especially at the buffet was lacking we had to make eye contact and ask for service most of the time, but when we did get it, it was good that went for all the staff in general. Also, there was a timeshare component that we agreed to explore I appreciate and understand wanting to draw up business, your asked to join a session for an hour and then it ends up extending to close to three I think maybe the approach could be different and after the first hour and if the answer is no then the answer is no

C'est un bel hôtel, les chambres sont propres et il est proche de la plage, mais le service est déplorable. Nous avons eu beaucoup de mal à obtenir un simple verre d'eau au buffet du petit-déjeuner et du déjeuner. Les plats à la carte étaient fabuleux. La nourriture au buffet était « bof ». Les boissons étaient horribles. Dans l'ensemble, le séjour s'est bien passé. Cependant, nous n'y retournerons pas. Vu le prix que nous avons payé, je m'attendais à un séjour de premier ordre.

May 2026 Nice hotel, clean rooms,close to the beach, however the service is terrible. We had a hard time getting a simple glass of water at the buffet breakfast and lunch. The à la cartes were fabulous. The food at the buffets is “meh”. The drinks were awful overall stay was okay. However, we will not be back. For the price we paid, I would have expected at top notch stay.

J'y ai passé deux semaines ; l'établissement est petit mais a son propre charme. Le personnel était sympathique, la chambre très propre et la nourriture excellente. Seul bémol : il était trop près de la route. La plage était nettoyée tous les jours, mais il n'y avait pas de bar de plage et il y avait la queue au bar de la piscine.

Les plats du buffet étaient toujours à température ambiante ou à peine tièdes. Les plats sont trop remplis, ce qui fait qu’ils refroidissent avant d’être servis. Un micro-ondes à la disposition des clients serait utile, ou alors il suffirait de mettre moins de nourriture dans les récipients. La nourriture en elle-même méritait une note de 5/10. Il faudrait de meilleurs cuisiniers. Le complexe était propre et agréable. Le café était très sympa. Les piscines auraient besoin de plus d’espaces ombra [... lire plus]gés, car c’est là qu’il y avait le plus de monde. Les restaurants à la carte étaient bons quand on arrivait à obtenir une réservation. Il faut réserver chaque jour à 9 h, mais à 9 h 01, tout est généralement complet, même si le complexe n'était qu'à moitié plein. La climatisation dans la chambre ne fonctionnait pas très bien, mais ils n'ont pas pu la réparer. Nous ne reviendrons pas car le buffet était servi froid.

Not Impressed The buffet food was always room temperature or slightly warm. The buffet items are over filled so they get cold before they are taken. A microwave for customers would help or just put less in the containers. The actual food was a 5/10. They need better cooks. The resort was clean and nice looking. The coffee shop was very nice. The pools need more shaded areas as they were the first to go. The ala carte restaurants were good when you could get a reservation. You have to book each day at 9am but by 9:01am they are all booked most of the time, even though the resort was only half full. The air conditioning in the room didn’t work very well but they couldn’t fix it. We won’t be back because of the buffet was served cold.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Au-delà de nos attentes !

Le service de l'hôtel était excellent, la chambre très propre et confortable, la cuisine délicieuse et la plage tout simplement magnifique ! Le personnel était très aimable et serviable. Les vols étaient à l'heure et le personnel très aimable ! Continuez comme ça. Nous reviendrons.

Beyond our expectations! Hotel service was great, the bedroom very clean and comfortable, the food was great and the beach was just beatifull! Service staff was very kind and helpfull. Flights was on time and also very kind staff! Please keep up the good service. We will be back.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: La meilleure station balnéaire : plage, cuisine et personnel !

C'était notre premier séjour au VH Gran Ventana, et ce ne sera certainement pas le dernier ! La plage est d'une eau cristalline, avec de magnifiques poissons tropicaux qui nagent tout autour de nous. La cuisine est tout simplement succulente ! Les chambres auraient besoin d'être rafraîchies, mais avec la formule tout compris, on ne passe de toute façon pas beaucoup de temps dans sa chambre ! Notre femme de chambre a fait un excellent travail chaque jour : nous n'avons jamais manqué de serviettes [... lire plus] et notre mini-réfrigérateur était bien approvisionné. Le personnel est chaleureux, sympathique et vous fait vraiment sentir les bienvenus ! Andrea, au bar de la piscine, prépare le meilleur café glacé qui soit ! Une petite amélioration serait d'ajouter davantage de parasols autour de la piscine et sur la plage. Nous prévoyons déjà d'y retourner l'année prochaine !

Best resort beach, food and staff! It was our first time at VH Gran Ventana and definitely will not be our last! The beach is crystal clear with beautiful tropical fish swimming around us. The food is absolutely superb! The rooms could do with an update, but on an all inclusive you don’t spend much time in your room anyhow! Our maid did an excellent job everyday, we never needed any towels and our mini fridge was well stocked. Staff are warm, friendly and really make you feel welcome! Andrea at the pool lounge bar makes the best iced coffee! One small improvement would be to add more umbrellas to the pool and beach areas.We are already planning to return next year!
