Party central ? Great hotel , beach front. Food was lacking quality. Friday to Sunday is a pure party, locals and all. Definitely recommend but you’ll need to get a room away from poolside to be able to sleep nice and tight

Le Barcelo Bavaro Beach est un hôtel réservé aux adultes qui fait partie du Barcelo Bavaro Palace. Il offre toutes les options et vous pouvez profiter des deux hôtels et de leurs équipements. Amazing resort ! Barcelo Bavaro Beach is an adult only hotel part from the Barcelo Bavaro Palace .It has all the options and you can enjoy both hotels and their amenities .The grounds are beautifully maintained, service and staff very friendly, beautiful beach shallow water ideal for swimming.Our experience for the 5 time beautiful as usual.

Barcelo Solymar: L'expérience la plus époustouflante

Il ne fait aucun doute que nous aurions passé un meilleur séjour à Varadero. Le resort était magnifique avec la plage à quelques pas et la nourriture et les boissons étaient toujours bien composées. Le personnel était toujours si accueillant et s'assurait que nous étions satisfaits. Nous sommes impatients d'y retourner dans un avenir proche.

Most Breathtaking Experience There is no doubt that we would’ve had a better stay in Varadero. The resort was beautiful with the beach just a few steps away and the food and drinks were always well put together. The staff was always so welcoming and made sure we were satisfied. We cant wait for our next trip back in the near future.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Un lieu spectaculaire !

Mon mari et moi sommes retournés dans ce complexe pour la troisième fois parce que nous aimons tellement cet endroit ! Nous avons emmené nos amis avec nous cette fois-ci et ils ont également été émerveillés par la plage, les restaurants, le programme de soirée et la discothèque, ainsi que par la nourriture. Nous avons adoré manger au restaurant de la plage où l'on peut profiter de la vue sur la plage. Le personnel qui travaille dans ce complexe garde l'endroit très propre et bien rangé. Nous ne  [... lire plus]les remercierons jamais assez de rendre nos vacances spéciales à chaque fois que nous venons ici. Il y a tout ce dont vous avez besoin ! Je recommanderais cet endroit à tout le monde.

Spectacular place! My husband and I returned to this resort third time because we love this place so much! We took our friends with us this time and they've been also amazed by the beach, restaurants, evening program and disco, and also food. We loved to eat at the beach restaurant where you can enjoy the beach view. Personal working in this resort keep this place very clean and tidy. We can't thank them enough for making our vacation special every time we come here.There is everything you need! I would recommend this place to everyone.

Barcelo Solymar: Station médiocre

Le complexe lui-même n'est pas mal, mais il n'était pas aussi propre qu'il aurait pu l'être, et il y avait une odeur bizarre à l'intérieur. Certaines choses tombent en ruine dans l'enceinte du complexe et dans les chambres. Il n'y avait pratiquement pas de divertissement. Les bars du complexe ne proposaient pas certaines boissons et il fallait aller à l'autre bar... s'il était encore ouvert... ils fermaient tôt. La piscine était agréable et la plage était magnifique... mais j'aurais aimé que le [... lire plus]s chaises de plage soient équipées de tables pour y poser les boissons.

Mediocre Resort The resort itself is not bad, but it wasn't as clean as it could've been, and it had a weird funky smell inside. Some things are falling apart in the resort grounds and in the rooms. There was hardly any entertainment. The bars in the resort wouldn't offer certain drinks, and you'd have to go to the other one... if it was still open..they'd close early. The pool was nice and the beach was amazing... although, I wish the beach chairs also had tables to put your drinks on.

Allegro Playacar: Vacances extraordinaires à Allegro Playacar

Nous venons de rentrer de notre troisième voyage à Allegro Playacar cette année pour 7 nuits. Superbe complexe hôtelier... les gens sont très sympathiques. Il n'y a pas trop de circulation, ce qui a rendu mes vacances agréables... très relaxantes. La plage était géniale...du sable blanc et pas surpeuplée.... Les chambres sont propres, le personnel est formidable, les piscines sont toujours propres et le terrain est magnifique. Le buffet était excellent avec une expérience différente chaque soir [... lire plus]...nourriture excellente bien que plus de fruits de mer auraient été appréciés. Un remerciement spécial à Freddy et Fidel qui ont fait tout leur possible pour rendre nos dîners au buffet amusants, agréables et mémorables. L'équipe de divertissement a toujours quelque chose à faire pour que vous ne vous ennuyiez pas. Les employés de tous les restaurants vous accordent une attention superbe, j'adore ça ! La réception a fait en sorte que notre enregistrement et notre départ se fassent en douceur et nous n'avons rien à redire. C'était notre troisième séjour dans ce complexe, nous y reviendrons certainement à l'avenir, mais nous visiterons également d'autres complexes dans la région de Playacar. Jusqu'à la prochaine fois

Amazing Vacation at Allegro Playacar We just returned from our 3rd trip to Allegro Playacar this year for 7 nights. Amazing great resort...people very friendly. Not too much traffic which made my vacation a treat..very relaxing. The beach was awesome...great white sand and not overcrowded. washrooms... Nice clean rooms, wonderful staff.The pools are always clean as are the beautiful grounds. The buffet was excellent with a different experience each night..food excellent although more seafood would have been appreciated. Special thanks to Freddy and Fidel who went out of their way to make our buffet dinners fun, enjoyable and memorable. The entertainment crew always has something going on to keep you from getting bored. The workers at all the restaurants will give you superb attention, love it! The front desk made our check-in and check-out a smooth operation and we do not have anything to complaint about. This was our 3th time at this resort, we will definitely return in the future but we will also visit other resorts in the Playacar area. Until the next time

Royal Hideaway Playacar: Taille et emplacement parfaits

C'est un très beau complexe, bien entretenu et très propre. Notre chambre était belle et bien aménagée. Le décor de l'ensemble de l'hôtel était d'influence espagnole ancienne et les meubles étaient partout de très bonne qualité. Le personnel était excellent, poli et très arrangeant. La meilleure partie était la magnifique piscine avec de nombreux sièges confortables et de l'ombre pour tout le monde. La nourriture était très bonne, même si je n'aime pas devoir réserver. La plage est magnifique [... lire plus] mais la distance entre la piscine et l'océan est trop grande et il n'y a pas d'ombre plus près de l'eau. L'heure d'enregistrement est rigoureusement contrôlée à 15 heures. C'est un point final. Pas d'exception. Ce n'est pas acceptable pour un hôtel cinq étoiles. Cela dit, ce fut une expérience agréable et nous reviendrons.

Perfect size and location This is a beautiful, well maintained, very clean resort. Our room was beautiful and well appointed. The decor throughout the resort was old Spanish influenced and furniture everywhere was very fine quality. The staff were excellent, polite and very accommodating. The best part was the magnificent swimming pool with plenty of comfortable seating and shade for everyone. The food was very good although I personally do not like having to make reservations. The beach is beautiful but the distance from the pool to the ocean is too far with no shade closer to the water. Check in time is rigidly monitored at 3:00 pm. Period. No exceptions. Not acceptable for a five star resort. However, having said that it was a lovely experience and we would return.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Excellent centre de villégiature

L'hôtel était très propre. Il y avait un certain nombre de restaurants spécialisés avec de très bons plats et les buffets offraient également de nombreux choix délicieux. Les terrains et la plage étaient propres et bien entretenus. Les chambres haut de gamme bénéficiaient d'un excellent service à la clientèle. Dans l'ensemble, c'était un excellent complexe hôtelier.

Excellent Resort The hotel was kept very clean. There was a number of Specialty Restaurants with very good food and the buffets had lots of delicious choices as well. The grounds and beach were clean and well maintained. Premium rooms had excellent customer services. All in all it was a great resort.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Bon rapport qualité-prix, pas un 5 étoiles

L'hôtel est un peu désuet et a besoin de quelques rénovations. La nourriture est tout juste correcte, parfois fade et mal cuisinée (par exemple, les pommes de terre "au four" sont presque crues). Le complexe est immense mais très propre. La plage est superbe, beaucoup d'ombre sous les palmiers. Le personnel est amical et serviable. Recommandé pour les familles avec de jeunes enfants car il y a beaucoup de choses à faire tout au long de la journée.

Good value, not a 5 star The resort is a bit outdated and in need of few renovations. Food is just OK, occasionally just bland and not properly cooked (e.g. "baked" potatoes are almost raw) . The resort is huge yet it's kept very clean. Beach is awesome, lots of shade under palm trees. Staff is friendly and helpful. Recommended for families with smaller kids as there is plenty of stuff to do all day long.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Meilleure plage, gens sympas

C'est un endroit idéal pour se détendre ; l'eau peu profonde est sans danger pour les enfants. Nous y sommes allés en juin, puis fin août, lorsque l'eau était chaude et que la température de l'air était de 31°C. Le restaurant français a l'un des meilleurs chefs. Cependant, tous les restaurants sont excellents. Le buffet est diversifié, même pour les végétariens. Celui du deuxième étage est plus calme que celui du rez-de-chaussée. Au deuxième étage, Maria fait le meilleur café espagnol. Le se [... lire plus]ul problème est l'internet car nous avons été déconnectés plusieurs fois par jour.

Best beach, nice people This is a great resort to relax; the shallow water is safe for kids. we’ve been there in June and again in late August when the water was warm, air temperature was 31C. The French restaurant has one of the best chefs. However, all the restaurants are great. The buffet is diversified, even for vegetarians. The one at the second floor is more quiet than the one at the ground level. At the second floor Maria makes the best Spanish coffee. The only problem is the internet as we’ve got disconnected several times a day.

Royal Hideaway Playacar: Le paradis !

C'était mon premier voyage au Mexique, et dès que je suis descendue de l'avion, c'était tout simplement magique ! Tout d'abord, les gens sont incroyablement gentils et serviables. En arrivant au complexe, j'ai eu l'impression de pénétrer dans un coin de paradis. Le Royal Hideaway Playacar est absolument à couper le souffle. Le terrain est constamment et magnifiquement entretenu. La chambre était spectaculaire ! Le lit était très confortable et la salle de bain luxueuse. Paradise! This was my first ever trip to Mexico, and from the moment I got off the airplane it was just magical! First off, the people are incredibly kind and helpful. Arriving at the resort was like walking into a slice of heaven. The Royal Hideaway Playacar is absolutely breathtaking. The grounds are consistently and beautifully manicured. The room was spectacular! Very comfortable bed and luxurious washroom. It also had a lovely balcony with a view of the pool and ocean. Who could ask for more! The food was unreal! I have never eaten so decadently for 7 days straight. The service was absolutely 5 star. Everyone was extremely kind and very accommodating. I’ve never been so sad to leave a resort as I was The Royal Hideaway Playacar ❤️

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Tout le monde s'est bien amusé

Très beau complexe. Il a fallu quelques jours pour que nos chambres soient réunies (comme nous l'avions demandé lors de la réservation) avec le groupe avec lequel nous étions, mais nous avons fini par être tous réunis. Le personnel était formidable. La nourriture était fabuleuse. Dans l'ensemble, c'est un excellent lieu de séjour.

Great time had by all Beautiful resort. Took a few days for them to get our rooms together (as we requested at booking) with the group we were with but eventually we were all together. Staff was awesome. Food was fabulous. All in all, a great place to stay.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Très belle

Le complexe était très propre, avec de beaux jardins. La nourriture était très bonne, vous ne pouvez pas avoir faim ici. Cependant, je dirais que les portions des dîners à la carte sont beaucoup trop grandes - il y a tellement de gaspillage ! Le complexe est très grand, donc si vous avez des problèmes de mobilité, je ne peux pas recommander car le transport est rare. Il y a beaucoup de choses à faire ici. La plage était correcte - pas aussi longue et sans rochers qu'on l'aurait espéré. Le front  [... lire plus]de mer du colonial était le plus beau et vraiment la seule option pour nager. Il n'était pas possible d'obtenir du vin dans la chambre à moins de vouloir payer 50 $ US la bouteille. Nous nous sommes donc aventurés dans un magasin local en taxi et nous avons obtenu du très bon vin pour moins de 20 $ la bouteille. Les bars n'ouvrent pas avant 11 heures et les bars de la piscine n'ouvrent pas avant 12 heures. Il faut être âgé de 18 ans ou plus pour boire et utiliser le spa - nous n'étions pas très heureux que notre fille de 16 ans ne puisse pas utiliser le spa. Nous étions un groupe de 8 personnes et nous avons donc organisé notre propre transport avec Canada Transfers (qui a été totalement génial à tous points de vue) vers et depuis le centre de villégiature. Bien qu'il y ait eu beaucoup de personnel sympathique, il y en a aussi beaucoup qui pourraient sourire davantage et ne pas avoir l'air si intimidant ou que vous les dérangez.

Very nice The resort was very clean, and nice gardens. The food was very good, you can’t possibly go hungry here. However I will say the al la carte dinner portions are way too large- so much waste! The resort is very large so if you have mobility issues I may not recommend as transportation is scarce. Many things to do here. The beach was ok- not as long and rock free as one would hope. The beach front at the colonial was the nicest and really the only option for swimming. Having the premium level was nice but lots of room for improvement here-was not able to get wine in the room unless you wanted to pay $50 US a bottle so we ventured out to a local store by way of taxi and got really nice wine for under $20 per bottle . The bars do not open until 11 am and the pool bars don’t open until 12 pm . Must be 18 or older to drink and to use the spa - was not too thrilled that our 16 year old could not use the spa . We were a party of 8 so we arranged our own transportation with Canada Transfers ( who were totally awesome in every way) to and from the resort . All though there was a lot of nice staff there is also a lot who could smile more and not look so intimidating or that you are bothering them.

Palma Real: Un plaisir décontracté !

Cet hôtel est assez grand pour un 3 étoiles. Il compte 5 bâtiments, 3 piscines, un grand buffet, 3 restaurants et une scène de divertissement géniale. Les artistes sont très talentueux. La plage est magnifique partout à Varadero. Le personnel est sympathique et arrangeant. J'ai déjà séjourné ici et j'y reviendrai.

Laid back fun! This hotel is pretty big for a 3 star. It has 5 buildings 3 pools, a large buffet area, 3 restaurants and the entertainment stage is awesome. The entertainers are so talented. The beach is beautiful everywhere in Varadero. The staff are friendly and accommodating. I’ve stayed here before and will stay again.

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Excellent

Très bonne nourriture et terrain, belle plage, très recommandé. Il s'agit d'un complexe composé de plusieurs hôtels. Le personnel travaillait constamment à l'entretien du terrain et à la propreté. Assurez-vous d'avoir de la petite monnaie pour donner un pourboire à tout le monde.

Great food and grounds, nice beach, highly recommended. It's a complex made of several hotels. Staff was constantly working on maintaining grounds and cleanliness. Make sure that you have small change to tip everyone.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Bilan de voyage

Notre voyage a été extraordinaire et Jenn a été fantastique. Elle nous a beaucoup aidés. Le seul problème que nous ayons eu, c'est le parking. Nous n'avions pas bien compris où nous devions nous garer et nous nous sommes garés dans le mauvais parking. Nous avons dû payer 125 $ pour sortir de là ! A part cela, tout était parfait.

Trip review Our trip was amazing and Jenn was fantastic. Helped us out so much. Only problem we had was with the parking. We weren't clear on where to park and we parked in the wrong lot. Ended up having to pay $125 to get out! Other than that everything was great.

Great resort! The resort is beautiful and massive with many pools and beach spots. Great place for friends, families or couples. There's a wide variety of restaurants for all tastes. The staff was very kind and made sure we had the best of times.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Première visite inoubliable au Mexique !

L'hôtel était impeccable, le service extraordinaire et la nourriture excellente ! Nous avons pris 5 repas au restaurant à la carte et sommes allés à : Kyoto (deux fois), La Fuenta, Mexico Linda, Trattoria et Brasserie (c'était du côté du Palace, nous avons donc payé 20 USD chacun pour un repas très chic). Le service clientèle et la réception ont tous deux été très utiles ! Les meilleures activités de l'hôtel étaient le tennis et le paddle board, tous deux gratuits avec le séjour à l'hôtel. [... lire plus] Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié le spectacle de cirque et le spectacle Mexicana. Le problème des algues était minime et une équipe travaillait 24 heures sur 24 pour les enlever. Il était également agréable de prendre un verre au bar de la piscine du Maya Tropical. Je recommande vivement ce centre de villégiature, qui était magnifique et sans faille.

Unforgettable First Visit to Mexico! The hotel was spotless, the service was amazing, and the food was great!!! We had 5 a la carte restaurant meals and went to: Kyoto (twice), La Fuenta, Mexico Linda, Trattoria and Brasserie (this was on the Palace side so we just paid $20USD each for a very fancy meal). Guest services and reception were both very helpful! The best activities on the resort were tennis and paddle boarding - both free with the resort stay. We also really enjoyed the Circus show and the Mexicana show. The seaweed problem was minimal and there was a crew working around the clock to clear it. It was also fun to drink at the swimming pool bar at Maya Tropical. I highly recommend this resort as it was seamless and beautiful.

Palma Real: ok si c'est bon marché

le terrain est trompeur, les chambres et les couloirs pourraient être améliorés, ce n'est pas un mauvais hôtel s'il est assez bon marché. l'animation nocturne n'est pas très bonne pendant les mois d'été. le personnel est correct. le plus gros reproche serait la nourriture après le deuxième jour, tout est à peu près pareil

ok if it's cheap grounds are deceit, the rooms and hall ways could use a up grade , not a bad hotel if it's cheap enough. nite entertainment not very good in the summer months .staff are fair .the biggest complaint would be the food after the second day all about the same
