Riu Yucatan: Bon centre de villégiature !

La station était petite, mais charmante ! La plage était géniale et il y avait toujours des chaises disponibles ! Il n'était pas nécessaire de se lever à 6 heures du matin pour trouver une bonne place ! Le terrain était beau et bien entretenu bien entretenus. La nourriture était assez bonne aussi. La nourriture de tous les centres de vacances devient ennuyeuse après environ le 5e jour :)

Good resort! The resort was small, but lovely! The beach was awesome and the re were always chairs available! You didn’t have to get out there at 6am to score a good spot! Grounds were nice and well maintained. Food was pretty good too. All resort food gets to be boring after about day 5 :)

Riu Negril: J'adore Negril !

Entre la recherche d'un endroit idéal sur la plage et la dégustation d'une cuisine jamaïcaine authentique, j'ai passé une semaine au paradis. Le Riu Negril est un endroit magnifique pour passer une semaine loin du froid canadien.

I love Negril! Between finding my perfect little spot on the beach and eating authentic Jamaican cuisine - I spent a week in heaven. Riu Negril is a beautiful place to spend a week away from the Canadian cold weather.

Riu Palace Jamaica: Un centre de villégiature extraordinaire !

J'ai presque tout aimé dans ce centre de villégiature. La propriété pittoresque. Pas trop grande. Pas trop petite. Le personnel amical. Le décor pas trop exagéré. Tout ce dont vous avez besoin. J'y retournerai et je le recommanderai certainement.

Amazing Resort! Loved almost everything about this resort. The quaint property. Not too big. Not too small. The friendly staff. The not so over the top decor. Everything you needed. I would go again and certainly recommend.

Riu Yucatan: Un voyage extraordinaire

Un groupe de 8 personnes d'âges différents a passé un séjour de 7 nuits ici. Le complexe est très grand, la plage est magnifique et nous n'avons jamais eu de problème pour trouver une place à la plage ou à la piscine. Pas de jeux de serviettes, ce qui était agréable. Les chambres sont moyennes, mais compensent par leur propreté. Nous ne passons pas beaucoup de temps dans les chambres, donc elles nous convenaient. Les points forts de ce complexe sont le personnel, la nourriture et les animaux.

Amazing Trip A group of 8 of us, ranging in age, enjoyed a 7 night stay here. The resort is a great size, beautiful beach, and never had a problem finding a spot at the beach or pool. No towel games, which was nice. The rooms are average, but make up for it in cleanliness. We don't spend much time in the rooms, so we were fine with them. Highlights of this resort is the staff, food and the animals.

Riu Emerald Bay: L'heure de gloire

Quelles merveilleuses vacances - Sunwing était parfaitement à l'heure à l'aller comme au retour, sans aucun retard - le centre de villégiature a reçu deux bus remplis d'invités de notre vol, mais l'enregistrement a été très rapide et efficace - la chambre était magnifique et la vue à couper le souffle - nous étions au 14ème étage - le problème de l'ascenseur n'était pas un gros problème pour nous - les temps d'attente étaient acceptables, mais nous avions des amis aux étages inférieurs qui sembl [... lire plus]aient avoir des temps d'attente plus longs que nous - le personnel était toujours attentif dans les restaurants et la bière était fraîche :) la nourriture était bonne et nous ne sommes pas allés dans les restaurants de spécialités - il y avait plus de chaises et de chaises longues autour de la piscine et de la plage - le personnel de Sunwing à l'hôtel était le meilleur que nous ayons connu dans tous nos voyages avec Sunwing. La seule chose que j'ajouterais est que le bar du hall, la plage et la piscine devraient avoir un service de table pour les boissons, ce qui aurait rendu le séjour encore plus spécial - oui, vous pouvez vous lever et aller chercher vos propres boissons, mais pour un Riu, je suis habitué au service de table - pour cette raison, je ne donnerais pas à l'hôtel un 5 étoiles complet, mais dans l'ensemble, c'est une bonne valeur et avec le bon prix, j'y retournerais.

Awesome Time What a wonderful vacation - Sunwing was on perfect time both ways no delays - the resort received 2 bus loads of guests from our flight but the check in was very quick and efficient - the room was wonderful and the view was breathtaking we were on the 14th floor - the elevator issue was not a huge problem to us - wait times were acceptable but we had friends on lower floors that seemed to have longer wait times than us - the staff was always attentive at the restaurants and the beer was cold :) the food was good and we did not go to any of the specialty restaurants - more than enough chairs and loungers around the pool and the beach - the Sunwing staff at the hotel were the best we have experienced in all our travels with Sunwing. The only thing I would add is the lobby bar, beach area and pool area should have table service with drinks this would have made the stay that much more special - yes you can get up and get your own drinks but for a Riu I am accustomed to table service - for this reason I would not rate the hotel a full 5 star but overall good value and with the right price I would go again.

Riu Palace Pacifico: Le meilleur centre de villégiature à ce jour !

Le Riu Palace à Nuevo Vallarta était exceptionnel. Nous y sommes arrivés le 10 janvier et y sommes restés une semaine. Nous avons visité de nombreux hôtels tout compris au Mexique, mais cet hôtel était le meilleur. Je n'ai jamais vu un hôtel aussi propre. Les salles de bains étaient toujours nettoyées et j'ai adoré les cabines privées fermées dans toutes les salles de bains. Nous avions réservé une suite junior avec vue sur le jardin et nous nous sommes retrouvés dans la chambre 8008 au dernier  [... lire plus]étage avec une vue partielle sur l'océan. La nourriture au buffet était absolument la meilleure que nous ayons jamais appréciée ! Les fruits de mer sont abondants pour le mari et il y a toujours une grande variété de choix entre l'agneau, le bœuf, le poulet et même la dinde. C'était agréable d'aller au steak house et aux restaurants Krystal pour être servis, la nourriture était correcte mais nous n'avons pas aimé les restaurants mexicains ou japonais. Si vous n'êtes pas admis à la première place, ils vous donnent un buzzer qui vous avertit lorsqu'ils ont une table pour vous. Aucune réservation n'est nécessaire. Le barbecue est servi tous les jours autour de la piscine et le menu change tous les jours, mais il arrive un peu tard vers 1 ou 2 heures de l'après-midi. Les animations avant et après les spectacles de 21h étaient vraiment super, un pianiste avant et un groupe de musique après. Si vous voulez faire la fête, restez au Jalisco. Vous pouvez utiliser leur complexe et le Vallarta également, mais nous n'en avons jamais eu besoin, sauf pour utiliser les toilettes lors de nos promenades sur l'incroyable plage qui s'étend à l'infini. Ce complexe est un peu plus haut de gamme. On y trouve surtout des personnes âgées de 30 ans et plus. C'est la première station balnéaire mexicaine où nous avons pu déguster un bon verre de vin blanc. C'était un Chardonnay, mais pas trop boisé. Demandez le vin Linjoi, c'est le meilleur. Nous avons commandé le room service qui est inclus et c'était rapide aussi. De l'alcool haut de gamme partout. J'ai bu du Don Julio dans une bouteille noire la plupart du temps et les serveurs sont fantastiques. N'oubliez pas de leur donner un pourboire car c'est ainsi qu'ils gagnent la plupart de leurs revenus. Nous avons eu un petit incident avec notre chambre à l'arrivée, qui a été réglé rapidement, et ils nous ont envoyé un délicieux plateau de chocolats. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié Noeh au Lobby lounge le soir, car il a appris à préparer une boisson martini spéciale que nous lui avons expliquée et à chaque fois que nous sommes entrés, il a commencé à la préparer et le serveur Jenny au lounge était également toujours très agréable et attentif. Geeser, au bar de la piscine, se souvient de tout ce que vous commandez et de la façon dont vous l'aimez. La seule chose que je suggérerais est d'avoir une zone réservée aux adultes à la piscine et des toilettes plus proches de la plage. De même, une zone non-fumeur autour de la piscine ou une zone fumeur désignée aurait été bien aussi, car certaines personnes sont tout simplement ignorantes avec leur manque de manières concernant la fumée. Dans l'ensemble, les vacances ont été excellentes. Nous y retournerons !

Best Resort Yet! The Riu Palace in Nuevo Vallarta was outstanding. We got there on January 10th and stayed one week. We have been to many all inclusive in Mexico but this hotel was the best. I have never seen such a clean resort. The bathrooms were always being cleaned and I loved the private enclosed stalls in all their bathrooms. We booked a jr suite with garden view and ended up in room 8008 top floor with a great partial view of the ocean. The food at the buffet was absolutely the best we have ever enjoyed!! Sea food in abundance for hubby and always a huge variety of other choices from lamb, beef, chicken and even turkey dinner. It was nice to go to the steak house and Krystal restaurants to be waited on, the food was ok but we did not care for the mexican or japanese restaurants. If you don't get in on the first seating they give you a buzzer and it alerts you when they have a table for you. No reservations required. BBQ lunch around the pool daily and menu changed daily..just a little late around 1-2pm. The live entertainment before and after the 9:00 shows were really great too, piano guy before and a live band after. If you want to party hard stay at the Jalisco. You can use their resort and the Vallarta as well but we never needed to, other than to use the washrooms on our walk on the amazing beach that goes on forever. This resort is a little more upscale. Mostly age 30 and up I would say. This is the first Mexican resort we could enjoy a nice glass of white wine. It was a Chardonnay but not too oaky. Make sure to ask for the Linjoi wine as it was the best. We ordered room service which is included and it was quick too. Top shelf alcohol everywhere. I drank Don Julio from dark bottle most of the time and the servers are fantastic. Be sure to tip them as that is how they make most of their income. We had a small incident with our room upon arrival that was taken care of quickly and they sent us up a delicious tray of chocolates. We especially appreciated Noeh in the Lobby lounge in the evening as he learned how to make a special martini drink we explained to him and every time we walked in he started making it and the server Jenny at the lounge was also always so pleasant and attentive. Also Geeser at the pool bar remembers everything you order and how to make it just the way you like it. The only thing I would suggest is that they have an adult only area at the pool and another washroom closer to the beach. Also a non smoking area around the pool or a designated smoking area would have been nice too, as some people are just ignorant with their lack of manners regarding the smoke. Great vacation overall. We will be going back!

Riu Palace Riviera Maya: Service et nourriture excellents.

Le service est excellent. La nourriture est excellente. L'hôtel a été rénové, mais on préférait l'aspect ancien. Le resort est propre et la plage est bien entretenue. J'ai demandé à changer de chambre uniquement parce que la première était fermée par un mur en béton, sans vue, et qu'il faisait très chaud.

Excellent service and food. Service is excellent. Food is great. They have updated the hotel but preferred the old look. The resort is clean and the beach is well maintained. Asked to change rooms only because first one was closed in by concrete wall with no view and became very hot.

Riu Republica: Beaucoup de plaisir

Mon mari et moi avions besoin de nous ressourcer et nous l'avons fait ici. Quelle semaine extraordinaire ! La chambre d'hôtel était parfaite, le terrain magnifique et les divertissements animés. Nous avons passé chaque jour à nous détendre au bord de la piscine, à nous promener sur la plage et à profiter des lieux. La nourriture était délicieuse, nous avons mangé au steakhouse et à l'italien, mais le buffet était le meilleur ! Les fêtes au bord de la piscine étaient incroyables et la fête sur la [... lire plus] plage était très amusante. Les animateurs ont fait un travail fabuleux pour faire bouger tout le monde ! Je recommande vivement ce centre de villégiature à tous ceux qui veulent passer un bon moment !

So Much Fun My husband and I were in need of a re-set and we certainly got it here. What an amazing week!! The hotel room was perfect, the grounds beautiful and the entertainment lively. We spent every day relaxing by the pool, walking on the beach and enjoying the grounds. The food was delicious, we ate at the steakhouse and Italian but found the buffet was the best!! The pool parties were amazing and the beach party was a lot of fun. The entertainment guys did a fabulous job keeping everyone moving!! I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking to have a great time!

Riu Guanacaste: Bonne heure

J'ai vraiment passé un bon moment dans cet hôtel. La nourriture était bonne. La fête blanche du vendredi soir était géniale ! La seule chose que je changerais serait de nettoyer un peu la plage. Très rocailleuse. De plus, l'hôtel est devenu un peu vieillot. Une rénovation en ferait un endroit parfait. Le Costa Rica est un endroit extraordinaire. J'adore cet endroit et j'y retournerais à 100%

Good time I really had a great time at this hotel. Food was good. The white party on Friday night was a blast! The only thing I would change would be to clean up the beach a bit. Very rocky. Also the resort has become a bit dated. A renovation would make it a perfect place. Costa Rica is an amazing place. I love it here and I’d go again 100%

Riu Emerald Bay: Un lieu de villégiature magnifique et propre

Ma famille et moi avons séjourné au Rui Emerald bay pendant 7 jours en Jab 2020 et c'est l'un des hôtels les plus propres dans lequel j'ai jamais séjourné. Les piscines étaient incroyables, nettoyées tous les jours, il y avait même une piscine chauffée. Le terrain était impeccable. Le personnel de l'hôtel était sympathique et arrangeant et la nourriture était bonne. La plage était propre mais les chaises longues se trouvaient à une certaine distance, je suppose que c'est à cause de la limite [... lire plus] de la propriété. Le seul reproche que j'ai à faire concerne les ascenseurs, il n'y avait que 3 ascenseurs qui fonctionnaient et les temps d'attente étaient incroyables. Un jour, j'ai attendu près d'une demi-heure pour un ascenseur, monter et descendre les escaliers sur douze étages plusieurs fois par jour n'était ni amusant ni relaxant. Dans l'ensemble, je recommanderais ce centre de villégiature.

Beautiful and Clean Resort My family and I stayed at the Rui Emerald bay for 7 days Jab 2020 and it was one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. The pools were amazing, cleaned everyday, there was even a heated pool. The grounds were immaculate. Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating and the food was good. Beach was clean but lounge chairs we're a distance away I'm assuming because if the property line. The only complaint I have the elevators, there were only 3 elevators working and the wait times were unbelievable. One day I waited almost 1/2 hour for an elevator taking the stairs up and down twelve flights of stairs multiple times a day was not fun or relaxing. Overall I would recommend this resort.

Riu Palace Mexico: Un centre de villégiature exceptionnel

L'hôtel est très beau, propre, le personnel est formidable et serviable, la nourriture est incroyable, tant de plats différents et très savoureux, de la nourriture pour tout le monde. Nous avons participé à de nombreuses vacances tout compris dans différents endroits, mais celle-ci est la meilleure.

Amazing resort The hotel is very beautiful, clean , the personal are great and helpful,the food is amazing,so many different dishes and very tasty, food for everyone. We will definitely go back there.We have been in many all inclusive vacation in different places, but this one is the best.

Riu Flamingos: Superbe station balnéaire

C'est la troisième fois que nous séjournons au Riu Jalisco. Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour d'une semaine. La seule chose que nous changerions est de chauffer les piscines. Elles sont glaciales ! Nous sommes allés au Riu Vallarta pour voir des amis et leurs piscines sont tellement plus chaudes. La nourriture est excellente et le personnel est si sympathique. Je recommanderais sans hésiter cet hôtel.

Awesome resort This is our third time at Riu Jalisco. We really enjoyed our week long stay. The only thing we’d change is to heat the pools. They are freezing cold! We went to the Riu Vallarta to see friends and their pools are so much warmer. Food is excellent and the staff are so friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Riu Palace Costa Rica: Riu Palace - une grande expérience

Le personnel du centre de villégiature était amical et serviable. Les terrains et les installations intérieures étaient bien entretenus. Les restaurants proposaient une grande variété de plats pour répondre aux besoins de chacun. Mon restaurant préféré était le restaurant italien. Les représentants de l'aile Sun parlaient couramment l'anglais et étaient très serviables. Ma seule recommandation serait de proposer un circuit plus long dans la ville de Liberia et de laisser la visite du café en  [... lire plus]circuit indépendant.

Riu Palace - great experience Resort staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds and indoor facilities were well maintained. The restaurants had a variety of food to meet everyone’s needs. My favourite was the Italian restaurant. The Sun Wing representatives spoke fluent English and were very helpful. My only recommendation would be to offer a longer tour in the city of Liberia and leave the coffee tour on a stand alone tour.

Riu Palace Baja California: Le meilleur de Riu

Les adultes seulement n'ont pas été déçus ! L'ensemble de l'établissement était impeccable, du terrain aux chambres, en passant par les salles de bains et tous les espaces de restauration. Le service de la réception était le meilleur que j'aie jamais connu (en plus de 30 ans de voyages dans le sud) La nourriture du buffet était meilleure que la plupart des autres, et je ne m'en suis même pas lassé en deux semaines. En particulier le Linaji Sauvignon Blanc, et quelques bons Cabernet Sauvignon ég [... lire plus]alement. Un meilleur steak peut être obtenu au Japanese Ala Carte qu'au Steakhouse (pas besoin de réserver à l'avance, c'est ce qu'il y a de mieux) Les piscines étaient superbes et il y avait beaucoup de chaises longues. Je n'ai utilisé le spa que pour le hammam car les massages étaient chers, comme d'habitude. (La plage est propre, un peu dure pour marcher et pas idéale pour nager, mais les piscines sont excellentes.

Riu's Best The Adult's only did not disappoint! The whole place was kept immaculate from the grounds to the rooms and washrooms and all food areas. Front desk service was the best I've ever experienced (in over 30 years of travelling to the south) The food in the buffet was better than most, and did not even tire od it in 2weeks.Even the house wine was better than most other all inclusives. Especially the Linaji Sauvignon Blanc, and some good Cabernet Sauvignon as well. A better steak could be had at the Japanese Ala Carte than the Steakhouse. (no need to book in advance was the best) Pools were great with plenty of loungers. Only used the Spa for steam room as massages were pricey as usual. (good quality massages available in town for $17-30us dollars with professional service) the beach is clean, a bit hard for walking and not ideal for swimming, but the pools were excellent.

Riu Yucatan: Pour les personnes âgées, un examen de Riu

L'hôtel disposait de deux restaurants-buffets avec une nourriture au-dessus de la moyenne, avec des porches ouverts que nous préférions aux restaurants de spécialités. Les chaises longues étaient nombreuses, mais pour ceux d'entre nous qui préfèrent l'ombre, il n'y avait pas assez d'endroits couverts sur la plage. L'océan a été agité toute la semaine, si bien que la baignade était réservée aux plus jeunes et aux plus courageux. Comme dans la plupart des centres de villégiature, les piscines prin [... lire plus]cipales étaient souvent bruyantes, avec de la musique forte. En revanche, la piscine située près de l'entrée était toujours agréable et calme. La chambre qui nous a été attribuée était de taille modeste, avec une salle de toilettes minuscule et aucune intimité entre la chambre à coucher et la douche. Notre chambre était à l'écart des zones bruyantes, mais ce n'était pas le cas de la plupart des chambres. Nous étions au rez-de-chaussée, mais pour ceux qui se trouvaient aux deuxième et troisième étages, il n'y avait pas d'ascenseur, seulement des escaliers. L'animation principale commençait chaque soir à 21h45, ce qui était beaucoup trop bruyant et beaucoup trop tard pour nous en tant que personnes âgées, et beaucoup plus tard que l'animation qui commençait au Pullman, notre précédent complexe hôtelier cubain. Le personnel des restaurants du Riu était bon. Les horaires des vols Sunwing étaient bons, mais les sièges du vol de descente étaient assez inconfortables - un peu comme sur certains vols Transat.

For seniors, a review of Riu Resort had two buffet restaurants with above average food, with open porches which we preferred more than the specialty restaurants. The lounge chairs were plentiful but for those of us who prefer shade, there were not enough covered spots on the beach. The ocean was rough all week so bobbing in the water was just for the younger braver guests. Like most resorts, the main pools were often noisy with loud music. But the pool near check in was always delightful and quiet. The room we were given was a modest size, with a very tiny toilet room and no privacy between the bed room and the shower. Our room was away from the noisy areas but many of the rooms were not. We had the ground floor but for those on the second and third floor there were no elevators, only stairs. The main entertainment began each night at 9:45 pm which was much too loud and much too late for us as seniors, and much later than entertainment started at Pullman, our previous Cuban resort. Staff in the Riu restaurants were good. Sunwing flight times were good but the seats on the down flight were quite uncomfortable - not unlike some Transat flights.

Riu Palace Costa Rica: Excellente station

Belle station. Enregistrement rapide. Personnel sympathique. Chambres propres. Buffet extraordinaire. Beaucoup de choix. Bons restaurants à la carte. Jamais de problème pour obtenir une boisson, que ce soit à la piscine ou à la plage. Toujours beaucoup de chaises longues disponibles. Pas besoin de "réserver" le matin. Le seul problème était le vent. À cette époque de l'année, il peut être assez fort, mais il faisait très chaud.

Excellent resort Beautiful resort. Quick check in. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Amazing buffet. Lots of choices. Good a la carte restaurants. Never a problem getting a drink, whether at the pool or beach. Always lots of loungers available. Did not need to "reserve " in the morning. The only issue was the wind. This time of year it can be quite strong, but it was hot hot hot.

Riu Republica: Un endroit idéal pour s'évader

Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour et rencontré beaucoup de gens formidables. Beaucoup de Canadiens, beaucoup de Russes, quelques Américains et Espagnols. Les divertissements et la nourriture étaient incroyables, les installations nouvelles et le personnel sympathique. Les boissons sont servies à la plage et il n'y a jamais eu de problème pour trouver une chaise de plage. Parc aquatique sur place.

Great Place to Get Away We really enjoyed our stay and met many great people. Many Canadians, Lots of Russians, few Americana, and Spanish. Entertainment and Food were amazing, New Facilities and Friendly Staff. Drinks are served at the beach, and never an issue finding a beach chair. On-site Water park.

Riu Republica: Station balnéaire 5*, alimentation 3*

L'hôtel était bien dans l'ensemble, le personnel et le service clientèle étaient excellents, tout était bien sauf la nourriture. J'ai vérifié auprès d'au moins 15 autres voyageurs qui ont dit la même chose. C'est un très grand hôtel avec des personnes de tous âges mais principalement entre 20 et 35 ans. Même s'il y a environ 1500 chambres, il n'y a pas eu de file d'attente nulle part. Le spectacle était également décent ainsi que le groupe de musique qui jouait tous les soirs.

Resort 5*, food 3* Hotel was good overall, great staff and customer service, all was good except for the food. I checked with at least 15 other travellers and said the same. This is a very large hotel with people of all ages but mainly between 20-35. Even though there are approx 1500 rooms, there was no waiting in line anywhere. Show was also decent as well as the music band that played every night.

Riu Palace Costa Rica: Grand centre de villégiature

Les piscines étaient incroyables, il n'y avait pas de place pour s'allonger - il y avait tellement de piscines pour tous les clients. Il y avait même un toboggan aquatique devant l'hôtel pour les enfants. J'avais l'impression que l'hôtel était réservé aux adultes, ce qui n'est pas le cas. Les chambres sont datées et usées mais très propres. Nos éviers se bouchaient tous les deux jours mais ils sont venus rapidement les réparer. Le buffet était le meilleur endroit pour manger (ainsi que le [... lire plus]s barbecues au bord de la piscine). J'ai mangé au restaurant de steaks le premier soir, mais le steak était immangeable. Il était plein de graisse et de grissle et on ne pouvait même pas le couper. Les divertissements étaient bons et variés, mais j'ai été déçu que le Canada n'ait pas été mis à l'honneur lors de la soirée internationale. Il y avait beaucoup de vent, donc la plage n'était pas le meilleur endroit pour être avec du sable soufflant partout. La plage est de sable brun, mais c'est à cause des volcans qui se trouvent à proximité. Les employés sont très gentils et serviables. J'ai découvert que le Riu Guanaste avait un bar sportif, ce qui aurait été agréable ici car les restaurants fermaient à 9h30. Il fallait faire la queue aux restaurants pour s'asseoir à 6h15 ou 8h15. Pas de réservation. Le buffet était la meilleure option pour nous chaque soir. Les locaux (pas le personnel) n'aiment pas beaucoup ceux qui séjournent au Riu, car apparemment ils ont franchi quelques limites avec les lois environnementales lors de la construction du complexe. Dans l'ensemble, le temps était magnifique et les piscines étaient superbes.

Big resort The pool areas were amazing, no shortage of places to lay - so many pools for all its guests. Even had a water slide area in front of the hotel for kids. I was under the impression it was an adult's only, this is not the case. The rooms are dated and worn but very clean. Our sinks plugged every other day but they were quick to come and fix them. The buffet was the best place to eat (along with the bbq's by the pool areas). Ate at their steak restaurant the first night but the steak was inedible. Full of fat and grissle and couldn't even cut through it. Entertainment was good with lots of variety however was disappointed on their International night that they didnt honor Canada. It was very very windy so the beach was not the best place to be with sand blowing everywhere. Beach is brown sand but that's because of the volcanos close by. Workers very kind and helpful. Found out Riu Guanaste has a sports bar which would have been nice here as the restaurants closed at 9:30. You had to line up at the restaurants for sitting at 6:15 or 8:15. No reservations. Buffet was the best option for us each night. Locals (not staff) aren't fond of those that stay at the Riu as apparently they crossed a few boundaries with environmental laws when building the resort. All in all weather was amazing and the pools were great.
