Memories Jibacoa: Ma station préférée de tous les temps

Ce complexe était l'un des préférés de mon défunt mari, et nous y avons voyagé ensemble cinq fois. Depuis, j'y suis retournée deux fois et j'ai été accueillie comme un membre de la famille. Les gens qui y vivent sont les plus gentils et les plus doux que vous puissiez rencontrer. Les terrains sont immaculés, leur rétablissement après l'ouragan de 2016 incroyable. J'espère y retourner à nouveau.

My all-time favourite resort This resort was a favourite of my late husband’s, and we travelled there together five times. I have since been back twice and was greeted like family. The people there are the kindest, sweetest you will ever meet. The grounds are immaculate, their recovery after the hurricane of 2016 amazing. I hope to return again.

Grand Memories Varadero: Des chambres propres et un service irréprochable

Chambres 3 étoiles mais propres. La nourriture au buffet était la même tous les jours et souvent froide. Le personnel et le service étaient incroyables ! J'ai adoré la piscine tranquille du bâtiment 11. Le bar du hall offrait de bonnes boissons. Le spa offrait un excellent massage mais la pédicure n'était pas bonne.

Clean rooms a great service Rooms were a 3 star but kept clean. Food at buffet was the same every day and often cold. Staff and service was amazing! Loved the quiet pool by building 11. Lobby bar had good drinks. Spa offered a great massage but the pedicure wasnt good.

Memories Jibacoa: Une grande place !

Le Jibacoa est un endroit formidable, un peu fatigué mais petit, magnifiquement situé au pied d'une montagne verdoyante face à l'océan. La mer est très bonne pour la plongée avec masque et tuba, mais avec le récif corallien à proximité, la baignade est moins bonne. Il y a une grande piscine, mais pas très profonde. Excellents services de restauration. Nous avons eu quatre dîners spéciaux au cours de notre semaine. Le terrain est très propre, les animaux errants ne sont pas nourris à la demande  [... lire plus]du nouveau directeur, le personnel est aussi amical et serviable que possible. Nous avons passé une semaine merveilleuse.

A Great Place!! The Jibacoa is a great place, a bit tired but small, beautifully located at the base of a green mountain facing the ocean. The sea is very good for snorkeling but with the coral reef in close the swimming is less good. There is a large but not very deep pool. Great dining facilities. We had four special dinners in our week there. The grounds are very tidy, the stray animals not fed at the request of the new manager, the staff as friendly and helpful as possible. We had a wonderful week.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Ce que nous attendions !

Notre séjour au Memories Caribe s'est très bien passé, nous voulions une chambre décente au 2ème étage avec vue sur l'eau. Nous étions à quelques minutes de la plage, des restaurants, des snacks et des boissons. La plongée avec masque et tuba était bonne à l'ouest, à environ un kilomètre de la plage du Diamond Club, et on pouvait marcher pendant des kilomètres à l'est et à l'ouest du Caribe. Le buffet était correct pour le petit déjeuner, les œufs et les saucisses étaient abondants et le dîner é [... lire plus]tait composé de nombreuses pâtes fraîchement préparées. Nous avons pris 4 plats à la carte et ils étaient tous bons. Une considération certaine pour revenir à cet endroit car la plage était l'une des meilleures que nous ayons vues, peut-être en avril 2019. What we expected ! Our trip to Memories Caribe was very good, we wanted a decent 2nd floor, water view room. We were minutes from the beach, dining, snacks and drinks. Snorkeling was good to the west about a kilometer from the Diamond Club beach and walking for kilometers to the east and west of the Caribe. The buffet was ok for breakfast as eggs and sausage were plentiful and dinner was lots of pasta made fresh. We did 4 a la cartes and they were all good too. A definite consideration for to return to this place as the beach was one of the best we have seen, perhaps April 2019. Booking Cayo Largo for January 2019 - anyone have comments on the Sol Cayo Largo ? Let us know your experience thanks

Memories Paraiso: Une plage magnifique !

Ce complexe était magnifique, très confortable et agréable dans l'ensemble. Ce qui m'a le plus marqué, c'est la plage (d'une beauté à couper le souffle), les divertissements nocturnes, qui sont hors du commun, ils sont talentueux dans ce qu'ils font (j'ai adoré l'hommage à Michael Jackson et le spectacle de danse internationale). l'équipe de divertissement était formidable, mais Lisandra et Adrian étaient des personnes de grande qualité. La personne qui a fait que tout ce voyage en valait la pei [... lire plus]ne est le barman de la plage, Armando, et les gars du burger (désolé, j'ai oublié leurs noms). Ils nous ont donné un traitement 5 étoiles, je reviendrais juste à cause d'eux. Mais le service client en général est terrible, quand nous sommes arrivés ils ne pouvaient pas trouver notre réservation parce que leur système était en panne. La fille à l'accueil nous a fait sentir terrible et a juste dit oh bien vous donner la chambre pour une nuit et voir quand les systèmes reviennent. Ils ne nous ont rien dit d'autre, nous avons dû nous débrouiller par nous-mêmes et personne n'avait les bonnes informations. Il y avait 50/50 de chances que vous obteniez les bonnes informations lol. Ne venez pas ici pour la nourriture, le service à la clientèle ou le service, mais venez ici pour rencontrer des êtres humains en or qui se soucient vraiment de ce qu'ils font et l'aiment.

Amazing beach! This resort was beautiful, very comfortable and pleasant overall. Things that stood out was the beach (breathtakingly beautiful), The night entertainment was off the hook, they are talented at what they do (loved the Micheal Jackson tribute and the international dance show were the top ones). the entertainment team was great but Lisandra and Adrian were top notch quality people. The person that def made all this trip well worth it was the beach bartender Armando, and the burger guys (sorry I forgot their names). They gave us a 5 start treatment, I would come back just because of them. but def the overall customer service is terrible, when we got there they could not find our reservation because their system was down. the girl at the front made us feel terrible and just said oh well give you the room for one night and see when the systems come back. They did not tell us anything else, we had to figure everything out on our own and no one had the correct information. it was 50/50 the chance that you would get the right info lol. Do not come here for the food, customer service or service but come here to meet some golden human beings who truly care and love what they do. but most of all this beach is truly a dream.

Resonance Blu Varadero: L'hôtel a besoin d'être rénové.

Je suis déçu par le service de Sunwing. J'ai reçu un courriel la veille de mon départ m'informant que la piscine silencieuse était hors service. Date de départ le 17 novembre, avis par courriel le 16 novembre. La piscine était en fait fermée depuis deux semaines. Elle n'a pas rouvert le mardi 20 novembre comme indiqué dans l'e-mail et était encore à une semaine de l'ouverture après mon retour le 24 novembre. J'aurais pris d'autres dispositions en sachant cela. La représentante de Sunwing n'a pas [... lire plus] été d'une grande aide en ce qui concerne les informations relatives au départ, elle a menti ou a été totalement mal informée, elle n'a pas proposé de départ prolongé ou d'options de douche pour un départ anticipé, j'ai trouvé plus d'informations auprès des passagers qu'auprès de la représentante. La chambre n'avait pas de vue sur le jardin comme promis et l'hôtel a dû changer le matelas et réparer les toilettes. Les chambres étaient très vieilles et avaient besoin d'être réparées. Je suis un client régulier de Sunwing et Memories (6 fois chez Memories) et j'ai été totalement déçu par le représentant de l'hôtel. Ma commande de duty free passée à l'avance dans l'avion n'était pas disponible dans l'avion lors de mon voyage de retour et j'essaie maintenant de prendre des dispositions pour me faire rembourser, une autre tâche qui prend du temps. Je vais devoir sérieusement remettre en question la capacité de Sunwing pour mes prochains voyages. Je voyage environ 5 mois par an et c'est ma première plainte directe auprès d'une compagnie aérienne ou d'un hôtel.

Hotel needs upgrade. I am disappointed in the Sunwing service. I received an email alert the day before my departure letting me know the quiet pool was out of service. Departure date November 17, email notice November 16. the pool had actually been closed for two weeks. It did not reopen on the Tuesday November 20 as noted in email and was still a week away from opening after I came back November 24. I would of made other arrangements knowing this. The Sunwing Rep. was not helpful at all with checkout information, actually was lying or totally misinformed, she did not offer extended check out or shower options for early check out, I found out more info from passengers than the actual Rep. The room did not have garden view as promised and the hotel had to change the mattress and fix the toilet. The rooms was very old and in need of repair. I am a repeat Sunwing and Memories customer (6 times at Memories) and was totally turned off by the Rep at the hotel. My duty free pre-order on the plane was not available on the plane on my return trip and am now trying to make arrangements for refund, another time consuming task. I will need to seriously question Sunwing's ability for future trips. I travel about 5 months of the year and this is my first direct complaint to an airline or hotel.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Excellent premier voyage

Excellent premier voyage en couple. Les plages étaient magnifiques, le personnel faisait tout son possible pour aider, les piscines étaient propres, les excursions étaient passionnantes. Inconvénients : la nourriture était à peine tolérable et les draps sentaient la moisissure.

Great first trip Great first trip as a couple. Beaches were beautiful, staff went out of their way to help whenever possible, pools were clean, excursions were exciting. Downside: food was barely tolerable and bed sheets smelt of mold.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Superbe endroit Sanctuaire

C'est notre deuxième visite au Grand Memories Sanctuary. La piscine, les restaurants, les bars et la plage sont tous agréables et proches. Nous apprécions de pouvoir manger dans les restaurants pour tous les repas. Le personnel est très serviable et courtois. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour. Nous prévoyons d'y retourner.

Great place Sanctuary This is our second visit to Grand Memories Sanctuary. The pool, restaurants, bars and beach are all nice and close. We enjoy being able to eat in the restaurants for all meals. The staff is very helpful and courteous. We enjoyed our stay immensely. We plan to go again.

Il y avait des insectes dans la pièce. J'ai trouvé trois fois des cafards dans les tiroirs du bureau. Il y a aussi beaucoup de moustiques. De plus, ils ne changent pas les draps / serviettes tous les jours. Je n'ai rien d'autre à dire... pas besoin de 200 caractères

memories paraiso The room had insects. I found cockroach in the desk's drawers three times. There are also lots of mosquitoes. Also they don't change the sheets / towels daily. I have nothing else to say...no need 200 characters

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Bon endroit

Très bon endroit pour les vacances. Le petit déjeuner et les déjeuners étaient excellents. Les dîners n'étaient pas les meilleurs. Les boissons étaient excellentes. Le personnel était sympathique. Les plages étaient bonnes, pas beaucoup de plongée avec masque et tuba. C'est loin d'aller d'un resort à l'autre. Faites changer votre argent avant de partir. Ils vous arnaqueront sur le change.

Good place Great place for vacation. The breakfast and lunches were great. Dinners were not the best. The drinks were awesome. Staff friendly. Beaches were good not much on snorkeling. Is far to travel from resort to resort. Get money exchanged before you go. They will rip you off on exchange.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Expérience relaxante

Beau hall d'entrée relié par des couloirs. La chambre et le mobilier ont vieilli mais sont restés propres. Une nuit, les toilettes ont mal fonctionné mais le personnel de service est venu dans les minutes qui ont suivi et a réglé le problème. Le service du personnel de l'hôtel en général est très amical et attentif. Il y a beaucoup de nourriture dans le restaurant, mais évitez le poisson et le vin.

Relaxing experience Nice lobby area connected by corridors. Room and furnitures shows age but it kept clean. One night the toilet malfunction but the service person came within minutes and looked after the problem. Service of hotel personel in general are very friendly and attentive. Plenty of food in the restaurant, Just stay away from the fish or the wine.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: super centre de villégiature :

C'était une expérience de voyage merveilleuse, si proche de la plage, à seulement 2 minutes de ma chambre, beaucoup de boissons disponibles avec un très bon service de barmen, beaucoup de nourriture dans les sections buffet, tant de fruits tropicaux sortant de mes rêves, les chefs étaient très gentils et chantaient des chansons pendant qu'ils cuisinaient mes plats. Il y avait 4 restaurants différents à choisir pour un dîner romantique le soir. Après les dîners, on peut aller au bar pour prendr [... lire plus]e d'autres boissons, puis il y avait des spectacles tous les soirs. Le personnel de nombreux hôtels est très gentil avec nous. Dommage que nous n'ayons réservé que 5 jours, la prochaine fois nous irons au moins 7 jours ou plus.

super resort: It was wonderful trip experience, so closed to the beach, just 2 mins from my room, lots of drinks available with very good service bartenders, lots of foods at the buffet sections, so many tropical fruits coming out of my dreams, the chefs were very nice & singing songs as they were cooking up my foods. There were 4 different restaurants to choose for a romance dinner in the evening. After the diners, one can go to the bar to get more drinks, then there were shows every night. Many hotels staffs are very nice to us. Too bad we only booked 5 days, next time will go for at least 7 or more days.

L'hôtel était très bien entretenu et tout ce qui s'y trouvait était parfait. La nourriture était bonne, répétitive, mais le service 4 étoiles n'était pas au rendez-vous. La plupart du temps, nous devions nous servir notre propre café au buffet et nos propres boissons aux machines. Mais la plage était magnifique, toujours entretenue, avec beaucoup d'espace et de chaises. Les bars étaient toujours approvisionnés avec un excellent service et de bonnes boissons. Les habitants de la station sont extr [... lire plus]êmement sympathiques et il y a toujours beaucoup à faire. Aventurez-vous en ville si possible, rencontrez les gens et suivez les excursions. Il y a beaucoup de possibilités et on peut dire que ce complexe pourrait passer pour un 5 étoiles si le service de buffet était amélioré et si les gens vous servaient de la manière que vous attendez ; également si tous les bâtiments pour les chambres étaient également améliorés. La chambre dans laquelle nous avons séjourné était améliorée et très bien entretenue. C'était dans le bâtiment 24, il est fortement recommandé de demander ce bâtiment car je me souviens avoir vu d'autres bâtiments encore obsolètes. Dans l'ensemble, le complexe était incroyable et valait chaque centime, nous avons apprécié notre séjour de 7 nuits.

Great resort The resort was very beautifully maintained and everything on ground was tip top. The food was good, repetitive, but lacked the 4 star service that you would expect. Most of the week we had to serve our own coffee at the buffet and our own drinks at the machines. But the Beach was beautiful, always upkept and lots of space and lots of chairs. Bars were always stocked with great service and great drinks. The people on the resort are extremely friendly and there is always lots to do. Venture into town if possible and meet the people and follow excursions. There are lots of possibilities and arguably this resort could pass for a 5 star if the buffet service was upgraded and the people served you in the ways you would expect; also if all buildings for rooms were upgraded as well. The room we stayed in was upgraded and very nicely kept. This was in building 24, highly recommend requesting this building as I do recall seeing some other buildings still outdated. Overall the resort was amazing and worth every penny, we did enjoy our 7 night stay.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Un lieu de villégiature magnifiquement aménagé

Le terrain était impeccable et bien entretenu. La plage a été nettoyée de tout encombrement naturel ou causé par l'homme. Les chaises longues étaient toutes en bon état et propres. Le personnel et les jardiniers sont très polis et s'intéressent vraiment à votre bien-être. Le point faible était le vin de la maison qui était horrible.... vous pouviez acheter des vins internationaux mais ils étaient plus chers que chez vous. Les boissons mélangées et les cocktails n'étaient pas toujours bien mélang [... lire plus]és et consistants. Seuls quelques barmans étaient capables de mélanger avec soin. J'y retournerais, mais seulement à bon prix...

Beautiful laid out Resort Grounds were imaculate and well maintained. Beach was kept clean of natural and man made clutter. Loungers all in good conditioand clean. Staff and gardeners very polite and genuinly interested in your wellbeing. Down fall was the house wine as it was horrendous.... you could buy international wines but they were priced higher than at home. Mixed drinks and cocktails were hit and miss for mix and consistancy. Only a few bartenders could be relied on to mix with care. I would go back but only at good price...

Memories Paraiso: Mémoires Paraiso

La nourriture du restaurant est mauvaise, peu de choix. La monnaie n'est pas bonne - le caissier est un rustre et un voleur. La plage et l'océan sont bons. Le service est mauvais. Parfois les boissons ne sont pas disponibles au bar de la plage (bière). Le jardin est bien.

Memories Paraiso Food of dining is bad, little choice. Change money is bad- cashier is a lout and a thief. Beach and ocean are good. Service is bad. Sometimes the drinks doesn't have on the beach's bar(beer). Garden is good.

Grand Memories Santa Maria: Station sans bière

La plus grande déception a été la décision de Sunwing d'ajouter un arrêt à Saskatoon à l'aller et au retour, ce qui a ajouté 2 heures supplémentaires à chaque trajet. L'hôtel a manqué de bière plusieurs fois pendant notre séjour de 7 jours. Il n'y avait pas non plus de serviettes de plage propres à échanger. La nourriture n'était pas très bonne, mais c'était prévisible pour un hôtel de Cuba. La belle plage et l'eau cristalline étaient là pour compenser tout ce qui n'allait pas. No beer resort The biggest dissappointment was Sunwing's decission to add stop to Saskatoon on our way there and back, which added extra 2 hours each way. Hotel run out of beer several times during our 7 days stay. They did not have clean beach towels for exchange either. Food was not great but it was expected for Cuba hotel. Beautiful beach and crystal clear water were there to compensate for everything bad. Staff is very friendly.

C'était ma deuxième visite au Sanctuary Grand Memories cette année et malheureusement il y a eu un changement de direction qui a été très perceptible. Le Sanctuaire et les restaurants Gourmet n'ont pas le même service et la même qualité de nourriture qu'en mars. Espérons que les changements de direction seront corrigés car ce complexe était extraordinaire il y a encore quelques mois. Nous avions deux majordomes, Noel et Gretchen. Gretchen était très sympathique et nous trouvait toujours le mati [... lire plus]n pour nous demander ce qu'elle pouvait faire pour nous ce jour-là. Noel, en revanche, nous évitait et n'a demandé qu'une seule fois pendant notre séjour s'il pouvait faire quelque chose pour nous, à 16h30. Les chambres, la plage, la piscine et le terrain sont toujours impeccables. La plage de ce complexe est bien entretenue et magnifique. Le jardinier fait un excellent travail d'entretien du terrain et on le voit souvent faire de petits cadeaux faits à la main pour les clients. Tout le personnel du snack-bar était efficace et Roxana était très sympathique et proposait toujours de vous apporter votre boisson ou votre nourriture. Dans l'ensemble, les vacances ont été relaxantes, mais l'hôtel n'est plus le même qu'au mois de mars

Still a good Resort This was my second visit to the Sanctuary Grand Memories this year and unfortunately there has been a change in management which was very noticeable. The Sanctuary and the Gourmet restaurants are not the same in service and quality of the food as it was in March. Hopefully the management changes are corrected as this resort was amazing just a few months ago. We had two butlers, Noel and Gretchen. Gretchen was very friendly and always found us in the morning and asked what she could do for us that day. Noel on the other hand would avoid us and only asked once during our stay if there was anything he could do for us and that was at 4:30 pm. The rooms, beach, pool and the grounds are still spotless. The beach area at this resort is well maintained and beautiful. The gardener does a great job maintain the grounds and is often seen making little handmade gifts for the guests. All the snack bar staff were efficient and Roxana was very friendly and would always offer to bring your drink or food over to you. This is still a good resort and hopefully they will work out the management issues, overall it was still a relaxing vacation but defiantly not the same resort as it was in March

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Belle plage, mais nous ne retournerons pas dans cet hôtel.

La première chose qui nous a dérangés dans ce voyage, c'est que notre vol direct vers Cayo Coco a été remplacé par un vol via Santa Clara. Cela a rallongé notre vol de près de 2 heures. L'hôtel lui-même est bien entretenu. Le terrain est magnifique. La plage est vraiment magnifique. Le service de ménage était excellent et la chambre était toujours propre avec beaucoup de serviettes. La température de l'eau de la douche était toujours froide (plus froide que l'eau de l'océan) mais comme il faisai [... lire plus]t toujours plus de 31°C pendant la journée, ce n'était pas très grave. La nourriture n'était pas excellente, mais on peut toujours trouver quelque chose. C'est Cuba et nous ne nous attendions pas à un dîner 5 étoiles. Dans l'ensemble, les vacances ont été relaxantes, mais je doute que nous retournions dans cette station en particulier.

Beautiful beach, but we won't go back to this hotel. The first thing that bugged us about this trip was that our direct flight to Cayo Coco was changed into one going via Santa Clara. It made our flight almost 2 hours longer. The hotel itself is well kept. The grounds are beautiful. The beach is truly amazing. Maid service was great and the room was always clean with plenty of towels. The water temp in the shower was always cold (colder than ocean water) but since it was always more than 31*C during the day it wasn't that big of a deal. The food wasn't great but you can always find something. It's Cuba and we weren't expecting 5 star dinning. Overall a relaxing vacation but I doubt we will go back to this particular resourt.
