De superbes vacances à la plage

Le RIU REGGAE était un superbe hôtel qui nous avait été recommandé par notre charmante agente, Joanne L., de TripCentral. Cet hôtel était parfait pour mon mari, qui se déplace avec une canne. Les chambres étaient accessibles par ascenseur. Le trajet à pied jusqu’au buffet (petit-déjeuner/déjeuner/dîner) était court, tout comme celui menant à la scène des animations, aux bars et à la plage. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié que la plage située à gauche de l'établissement offre une entrée en pente douc [... lire plus]e. Le personnel des bars et de la salle de restaurant était sympathique et attentionné. Le seul petit bémol : nous dormons tous les deux avec un appareil CPAP et il n'y avait qu'une seule prise entre les lits. Nous avons demandé une rallonge à la réception pendant deux jours, car nous n’avions pas pensé à apporter une multiprise. Les deux jours, ils nous ont répondu qu’ils allaient se renseigner auprès du service technique et nous rappeler. À un moment donné, ils ont même voulu nous facturer la rallonge s’ils en trouvaient une. Nous n’avons pas insisté et avons trouvé une solution en débranchant la machine à café ; heureusement, le cordon était suffisamment long pour que cela fonctionne. Le suivi et la résolution de ce problème ont été la seule difficulté que nous ayons rencontrée avec la réception. Dans l’ensemble, nous avons adoré la plage et le bar de la piscine. En comparaison avec les autres établissements RIU où nous avons séjourné. Si vous ne recherchez pas le faste et le glamour, mais plutôt un moment de détente, c’est l’endroit qu’il vous faut.

Beautiful Beach Vacation The RIU REGGAE was a great hotel recommended by our lovely agent Joanne L. from tripcentral. This hotel was perfect for my husband who walks with a cane. The rooms were accessible by elevator. The walk to the Buffet (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) was short as to the entertainment stage, bars and beach. We loved the fact that the beach to the left of the property was gradual entry. The staff at the bars and dining area were friendly and attentive. The only thing we had an issue with was that both of us sleep with a cpap and there was only one outlet between the beds. We asked front desk over two days for an extension cord as we didn't think to bring an outlet tower. Both days they said they would ask maintenance and call us. At one point they wanted to bill us for the extension cord if they found one. We didn't bother and found a solution by unplugging the coffee machine thankfully the cord were long enough that it worked. The follow up and solution would have been the only issue we experienced with Front Desk. Overall, we loved the beach and the pool bar. Comparing it to the other RIU property we have stayed at. If your not looking for glitz and glam but a great relaxing time. This is your place.

De merveilleuses vacances

Presque tout dans ce complexe est fantastique. La nourriture était excellente, y compris la présentation ; l'équipe d'animation était enthousiaste et amusante, et les spectacles étaient superbes, même si certains étaient un peu trop bruyants, mais tout de même agréables. Notre chambre était propre et le personnel d'entretien s'est donné beaucoup de mal pour maintenir ce niveau de propreté. La plage est longue… et s'étend sur les trois complexes Riu. Je recommanderais de porter des chaussures aqu [... lire plus]atiques, car certaines zones de la mer sont envahies par les algues. Mais dans l'ensemble, nous avons passé un excellent séjour. J'ai toutefois deux reproches à faire : bien que ce complexe soit à 5 minutes de l'aéroport, cela signifie qu'il est très bruyant, avec des avions qui survolent la zone assez souvent... surtout le week-end. Le bruit est suffisamment fort pour qu'il faille interrompre les conversations jusqu'à ce que l'avion soit passé. Enfin, l'eau du robinet n'est pas potable et le minibar n'est réapprovisionné qu'un jour sur deux. Cela dit, si vous avez besoin d'eau, vous pouvez facilement vous en procurer à la réception. J'aurais juste aimé que l'eau soit livrée tous les jours. En raison de la proximité de l'aéroport et du bruit qui en découle, je ne recommanderais malheureusement pas ce complexe. Si cela ne vous dérange pas, vous passerez un excellent séjour.

Wonderful Holiday Almost everything about this resort is fantastic. The food was great including the presentation, the entertainment group was enthusiastic and amusing and the shows were wonderful although some were a bit too loud but still enjoyable. Our room was clean and the cleaning staff worked hard at keeping this standard. The beach is long... covering all 3 Riu resorts. Would recommend water shoes as there are areas in the ocean covered by weeds. But overall had a great time. I do have 2 complaints though and that is although this resort is 5 minutes from the airport it does mean that it is very noisy with the planes flying overhead quite often... especially on weekends. Loud enough that conversations need to be paused until the plane has passed. And lastly, the tap water is not drinkable and water and bar fridge is only restocked every other day. Having said that, if water is required it is easy enough to get from the front desk. Just wish the water, was delivered every day. Due to the close proximity to the airport and the accompanying noise I unfortunately would not recommend this resort. If that isn't a problem for you then you'll have a great time.

Super moment

J'ai passé un excellent séjour ici. Le temps n'était pas exceptionnel, mais j'ai rencontré beaucoup de gens intéressants. Cet endroit est très apprécié des Anglais. Certains plats étaient vraiment bons, comme le poulet jerk sur la plage. Le menu à la carte comprenait certains éléments du buffet, comme le bar à salades, les desserts... Le complexe hôtelier est plutôt petit. Il est proche de l'aéroport. Les animations étaient inégales. J'ai été lésé lors de mon voyage, car mon vol a été annulé et  [... lire plus]j'ai perdu trois nuits. J'espère obtenir une compensation.

Great time Had a great time here. The weather wasn't stellar, however I met lots of interesting people. It's popular with the English. Some of the food was really good. i. e. Jerk chicken on the beach. The à la cartes had some element of buffet in it. Salad bar, desert... The resort is on the smaller side. Close to the airport. The entertainment was hit and miss. I was shortchanged on my trip due to my flight being canceled and missing out on three nights. I hope some sort of compensation is to follow.

Aucune intimité dans une suite "de luxe" - Sentiment d'insécurité pendant tout le séjour

Nous avions réservé ce qui était censé être l'option la plus luxueuse - la Junior Suite Oceanview - et nous avons passé tout notre séjour à nous sentir exposés et en danger. Le personnel de ménage et de l'hôtel a l'étrange habitude d'ouvrir la porte après seulement deux coups, sans attendre de réponse. Le lit est directement visible depuis l'entrée, ce qui constitue une violation flagrante de la vie privée. Cela s'est produit plus d'une fois et nous a laissé constamment sur le qui-vive. Ou [... lire plus]i, il y a des étiquettes de porte rouges/vertes, mais si vous oubliez d'en placer une, le personnel tente quand même d'entrer. Il est choquant de constater qu'il n'y a pas de verrou de sécurité à l'intérieur de la porte. Dans tout hôtel bien géré, en particulier à ce niveau de prix, un loquet physique est un élément de sécurité de base non négociable. Cette chambre n'en avait pas. Résultat ? Si vous n'entendez pas frapper à la porte - ou si vous dormez, prenez une douche ou vous changez - n'importe qui peut entrer directement. Ce n'est pas du luxe. C'est inacceptable. Nous ne nous sommes pas plaints pendant notre séjour parce que nous n'avons pas eu l'impression qu'il s'agissait d'une erreur ponctuelle - cela semblait structurel et culturel, quelque chose d'intégré dans le fonctionnement de l'établissement et qu'il n'était pas facile de corriger dans l'immédiat. Au lieu de nous détendre, nous étions constamment sur le qui-vive, à l'affût des coups et en train de revérifier la porte. Pour une chambre dite de haut niveau, ce manque d'intimité et de sécurité de base est rédhibitoire. Si l'espace personnel, la dignité ou le sentiment de sécurité dans votre chambre vous importent, ne réservez pas cet hôtel. Il faut reconnaître que TripCentral et Sunwing ont offert une bonne affaire pour la période de Noël, mais aucun rabais ne vaut la peine de se sentir exposé dans sa propre chambre.

Zero Privacy in a “Luxury” Suite – Felt Unsafe the Entire Stay We booked what was supposed to be the most luxurious option available — the Junior Suite Oceanview — and instead spent the entire stay feeling exposed and unsafe. Housekeeping and hotel staff has this weird habit of opening the door after only two knocks, without waiting for a response. The bed is directly visible from the entrance, so this felt like a blatant invasion of privacy. It happened more than once and left us constantly on edge. Yes, there are red/green door tags — but if you forget to place one, staff still attempt to enter. Shockingly, there is no interior safety latch on the door. In any well-run hotel, especially at this price point, a physical latch is a basic, non-negotiable security feature. This room had none. The result? If you don’t hear the knock — or are asleep, showering, or changing — anyone can walk straight in. That is not luxury. That is unacceptable. We didn’t complain during the stay because this didn’t feel like a one-off mistake — it felt structural and cultural, something baked into how the property operates and not easily fixed in the moment. Instead of relaxing, we were constantly alert, listening for knocks, and double-checking the door. For a so-called top-tier room, this lack of basic privacy and security is a deal-breaker. If personal space, dignity, or feeling safe in your room matters to you, do not book this hotel. Credit where it’s due: TripCentral and Sunwing did offer a good deal for the busy Christmas season — but no discount is worth feeling exposed in your own room.

Un centre de villégiature exceptionnel

Tout était extraordinaire, le nettoyage, la nourriture, le service et les gens étaient si sympathiques. Je retournerais certainement dans ce complexe. Le réfrigérateur était toujours plein, le service dans tous les restaurants était extraordinaire et le service dans les bars de la piscine était génial. Je recommanderais ce complexe à ma famille et à mes amis, merci, j'ai passé un excellent moment

Merveilleux centre de villégiature !

Shannon a répondu rapidement et efficacement à mes demandes. Elle a facilité la réservation. Le personnel de l'hôtel RIU était très aimable et serviable. La nourriture et les équipements étaient excellents. Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour dans ce centre de villégiature !

Wonderful resort! Shannon was quick and efficient with responding to my inquiries. She made it easy to book with her. Staff at the RIU were very friendly and helpful. Food and amenities were great. We really enjoyed our stay at this resort!

Pas un 5 étoiles

La nourriture était moyenne. Ce n'est pas mon hôtel préféré à Mobay. Il y a beaucoup de choses à améliorer. Pas de room service . Riu Montego Bay nourriture était mon ch meilleur. Le Jerk pit était faible ... ne vaut pas l'argent à mon avis .

Not a 5 star Foods was average . Not my favorite resort in mobay definitely. Lots of room for improvement. No room service . Riu Montego Bay food was my ch better. Jerk pit was weak … not worth the money in my opinion .

Une grande expérience

Le terrain est bien entretenu, les salles de bains sont propres, le personnel est très aimable et essaie toujours de faire participer les clients aux activités quotidiennes et aux divertissements nocturnes. La nourriture et les fruits frais sont abondants, en particulier ceux de l'île. Il était agréable de voir que des plats jamaïcains étaient disponibles à chaque repas - parfois les légumes étaient un peu trop salés mais d'autres options étaient disponibles à d'autres stations. L'eau était e [... lire plus]xcellente, comme prévu, mais le sable près du rivage était un peu glissant et inégal. Le hall n'est pas très ouvert, nous avons donc passé plus de temps dans le hall du Mobay car il y avait beaucoup plus de brise - il est plus grand et plus confortable. Nous avons apprécié la possibilité d'utiliser les équipements du Mobay.

Great Experience Grounds are well kept, bathrooms are clean, staff are very friendly and always trying to get guests involved in the daily activities and nightly entertainment. There’s an abundance of food and fresh fruits, especially those from the island. It was nice to see that Jamaican dishes were available at every meal - sometimes the vegetables were a bit too salty but other options were available at other stations. The water was great, as expected, but the sand close to shore was a bit slippery and uneven. The lobby is not very open so we spent more time at the Mobay lobby as it was much more breezy - it’s larger and more comfortable. Loved the option to use the amenities at Mobay.

Fantastic Resort

Nous avons été impressionnés dès notre arrivée. Le personnel de la réception a été très aimable et serviable et nous a donné toutes les informations dont nous avions besoin. Ensuite, nous sommes allés dans la chambre qui était parfaite, avec une superbe vue sur le jardin pour s'asseoir et prendre un verre plus tard dans la nuit. La nourriture était excellente, ainsi que le service au buffet et au steakhouse. Cependant, le service au restaurant italien n'était pas au top et nous n'y sommes pas re [... lire plus]tournés, le saumon était excellent mais pas le service. Nous nous sommes assis, avons choisi un verre de vin chacun, avons commandé notre repas et n'avons plus jamais été approchés. Nous sommes restés assis avec des verres d'eau et de vin vides pendant plus de 30 minutes. Nous avons marché jusqu'au Riu Montego Bay en passant devant le palais et nous avons réalisé que nous avions fait le bon choix. Cet hôtel Riu Raggae est de taille parfaite, pas énorme et d'une propreté irréprochable ! Les femmes de chambre et les gardiens du terrain étaient fantastiques. C'est définitivement le personnel qui fait briller ce Riu....thankyou à eux tous !!!

We were impressed from the minute we walked in. The staff at the front desk was so friendly and helpful and thorough with what we needed to know. Then off to the room which was perfect, great gardenview to sit and have drinks on later at night. The food was great also the service at the buffet and steakhouse. However the service at the Italian restaurant wasn't the beat and we did not return, the salmon was great just not the service. We sat down chose a glass of wine each, ordered our meal and were never approached again. Sat with empty water and wine glasses for over 30 mins. We walked to the Montego Bay Riu past the palace and realized we had made the right choice. This hotel Riu Raggae is the perfect size, not huge and wow cleanliness!! The maids and grounds keepers were fantastic. It was definatley the staff that make this Riu shine....thankyou to all of them!!

1. La plage est correcte mais la baignade dans l'océan était mauvaise. L'eau boueuse et le sol boueux sont dégoûtants 2. Les piscines n'ont que 90 cm de profondeur 3. Musique forte jusqu'à 1 heure du matin 4. La nourriture dans le restaurant spécialisé était pire que le buffet. 5. Les chambres sont vieilles et doivent être rénovées. 6. Tripcentral aurait dû nous conseiller et nous donner des options de stations plus calmes

Ok resort 1. Beach is Ok but the swimming in the Ocean was bad. Muddy water and muddy floor disgusting 2. Pools are only 90 cm deep 3. Loud music till 1am 4. Food in especiality restaurant was worse than the buffet. 5. Rooms are old and needs to be renovated. 6. Tripcentral should have advised us and gave us options of quieter resort

Grand centre de villégiature

Le service était excellent, l'hôtel propre, mais la clientèle bruyante. J'y retournerais n'importe quand. Le personnel était très amical et les boissons étaient excellentes. Il n'y a pas de distributeur de billets à l'hôtel et il faut sortir de l'enceinte pour obtenir de l'argent, il est donc recommandé d'apporter de l'argent liquide.

Great resort Service was great, clean hotel, however loud clientele. Would go again anytime. Staff was super firendly and drinks were amazing. No atm at hotel and have to leave the grounds to get cash, would recommend bringning cash.

L'hôtel Riu Reggae est un bel immeuble bas qui nous a plu ; le terrain était propre, beau et bien entretenu ; aucun problème lors de l'enregistrement ou du départ car le personnel était amical, compétent et accueillant. La chambre était propre, bien rangée et sans insectes ; il y avait aussi un coffre-fort ; la véranda était idéale pour s'asseoir et/ou étendre des vêtements mouillés pour les faire sécher. La plage était sûre et propre, l'eau calme, l'atmosphère pittoresque, la plupart des gens  [... lire plus]amicaux, serviables et gentils. La nourriture était excellente, avec beaucoup d'aliments locaux, de fruits et de légumes, ainsi que des aliments internationaux, de sorte qu'il y avait beaucoup de bons choix au buffet et dans les 5 autres restaurants. Les divertissements étaient excellents au RIU Reggae et au RIU Montego Bay, en particulier la "Friday White Party" qui était très amusante. Il y avait beaucoup d'activités à choisir et des occasions d'en apprendre plus sur la culture et le peuple jamaïcain. Je recommande cet hôtel.

Amazing resort Riu Reggae Hotel was a lovely low-rise which we liked; grounds were tidy, beautiful and well maintained; no issues with checking in or checking out as the staff was friendly knowledgeable and welcoming. The room was clean, tidy and bug free; had a safe as well ; the veranda was ideal just for sitting and/or hanging wet clothes to dry. Beach was safe & clean, water calm, atmosphere scenic, most people friendly, helpful and kind. The food was excellent with a lot of local foods fruits & veggies, as well as international foods so there were many great choices at the buffet and at the other 5 restaurants. Entertainment was great at RIU Reggae and RIU Montego Bay especially the Friday White Party which was lots of fun. There were many activities from which to choose and opportunities to get to learn about the culture and people of Jamaica. I would recommend this hotel.

C'est notre deuxième séjour et le Riu n'a pas déçu ! Les chambres étaient toujours nettoyées, les minibars toujours approvisionnés, la nourriture sous forme de buffet ou à la carte toujours délicieuse ! Le Jerk Hut était incroyable ! Je recommanderais le Riu Reggae à toute personne souhaitant passer des vacances à Montego Bay, en Jamaïque. Je ne peux pas expliquer à quel point nous avons été satisfaits de cet hôtel. Je lui donnerais sans hésiter 5+ étoiles. Le terrain était extrêmement bien entretenu, la nourriture était excellente, les divertissements étaient fantastiques et les activités pendant la journée étaient géniales. On ne s'ennuie jamais. Le personnel était formidable et très amical. Je n'hésiterais pas à y reto [... lire plus]urner. Merci d'avoir fait de ces vacances un moment merveilleux.

Amazing resort I would recommend Riu Reggae to anyone that wants to do a vacation to Montego Bay, Jamaica. I can’t explain how pleased we were of this hotel. I definitely would give 5+ star. The grounds were extremely well kept, the food was excellent, the entertainment was fantastic and the activities during the day was great. Never a time to be bored. The staff was amazing and very friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back there. Thank you for making this a wonderful vacation.

RIU Reggae - un endroit idéal pour les vacances

Ce complexe est impeccable et le personnel de nettoyage est très attentif à la fois à notre chambre et aux aménagements extérieurs. La réponse à notre demande d'oreillers, de couvertures et de serviettes supplémentaires a été rapide. L'hôtel propose une application que vous pouvez utiliser pour tout ce que vous voulez ! Vous pouvez également faire vos réservations de restaurant et réserver des services à l'aide de cette fonction. Les plages, les piscines et l'ensemble des locaux sont surve [... lire plus]illés par des agents de sécurité, des surveillants et des agents d'entretien qui veillent à la sécurité et à la propreté de l'ensemble. Le personnel était exceptionnellement amical, courtois et attentif à nos besoins. Les buffets et les restaurants étaient de grande qualité, avec des tonnes d'options pour satisfaire les palais les plus exigeants. Il est utile de disposer d'un peu d'argent liquide si l'on veut récompenser les efforts individuels dans la prestation de services. Les activités quotidiennes organisées par l'hôtel sont également amusantes et vous permettent de profiter au maximum de votre expérience. L'accès à d'autres complexes hôteliers RIU situés à proximité est également pratique. En résumé, je recommande vivement cet hôtel et je n'hésiterai pas à y revenir pour d'autres vacances. RIU Reggae - a great place for a vacation This resort is spotless with cleaning staff being very attentive to both our room and outdoor amenities. Response to our request for additional pillows, blankets and towels was quick. The hotel offers an APP that you can use for just about anything you may want! You can also make your restaurant reservations and book services using this feature. There are also plentiful security, attendants and cleaning staff roaming beaches, pools and general premises to ensure safety and cleanliness throughout. Staff were exceptionally friendly, courteous and attentive to our needs. Buffet and restaurant food was high quality with tons of options to satisfy the most discerning of palates. Having some cash on hand also helps if you want to recognize individual efforts in providing services. The daily activities organized by the hotel are also fun and help you get the most out of your experience. Access to other nearby RIU resorts is also handy. All in all, I would highly recommend this resort and would not hesitate coming back for another vacation. Robert & Denise

Excellent tout compris

presque parfait à mon avis. le buffet était incroyable, mais il aurait fallu qu'il soit ouvert avant 18h30 pour le dîner. le ratio personnel/clients était très élevé super propre à tout moment à quelques pas de la plage la boîte de nuit et les animations nocturnes étaient superbes

great all inclusive nearly perfect in my opinion. buffet was amazing, just wished it opened before 6:30 for dinner. staff ratio to guest was very high super clean at every moment just a few steps away from beach nightclub and nightly entertainment was great

Le personnel d'animation et les barmans sont le clou du spectacle !

L'hôtel est agréable, plus petit que ce que je pensais. Il attire une foule très intéressante car il est connu pour être un lieu de fête. La nourriture était correcte, mais il n'y a pas beaucoup de variété. La salle de sport était petite mais disposait de l'équipement nécessaire - souvent occupée le matin, je recommande d'y aller après 16 heures. Le point fort était l'équipe d'animation, le personnel de divertissement et les barmans. Ils se sont surpassés pour s'assurer que nous passions un b [... lire plus]on moment. Ils travaillent de longues heures sous le soleil brûlant toute la journée, mais ils ont toujours le sourire aux lèvres et vous accueillent avec enthousiasme. Nous avons hâte de les voir tous les jours, ils méritent tous des augmentations ! Ils ont vraiment fait des pieds et des mains pour s'assurer que nous passions un bon moment. Ils font partie des personnes les plus extraordinaires que j'aie jamais rencontrées. Il y a une bonne quantité de choses à faire, mais il y a une période gênante entre le dîner et les spectacles de la soirée où les invités ne savent pas trop quoi faire. La plupart d'entre eux finissent au bar ou dans leur chambre. Dans l'ensemble, il s'agit d'un lieu de séjour agréable si vous recherchez un lieu de fête.

Entertainment Staff & Bartenders are the main highlight! The hotel is nice, smaller than I thought. It draws a very interesting crowd as it's known as a party resort. The food was decent, but there's not much variety. The gym was small but had the necessary equipment - often busy in the morning, I recommend going after 4pm. The highlight was the animation team, entertainment staff and bartenders. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. They work long hours in the hot sun all day, but they constantly have smiles on their faces and greet you with excitement and enthusiasm. We would look forward to seeing them every day, they all deserve raises!!! They really went out of their way to check on us and make sure we were having a great time. They are some of the most amazing people I've ever met. There's a decent amount of things to do, however there's an awkward period between dinner and the evening shows/entertainment where guests seem a bit unsure of what to do. Most typically end up at the bar or in their rooms. Overall, it's a nice play to stay if you're looking for a party resort.

Incroyable

Nous avons séjourné dans ce complexe plusieurs fois par le passé et nous l'avons adoré, mais ils ont vraiment amélioré le département des divertissements. L'équipe de divertissement, les spectacles et la fête blanche étaient exceptionnels. Nous y retournerons sans aucun doute.

Amazing We have stayed at this resort multiple times in the past and loved it but they have really stepped it up in the entertainment department. The entertainment staff, the shows, and the white party were exceptional. Will definitely be going back.

Riu reggea baie de montego

l'hôtel et les gens étaient formidables. La nourriture au buffet était meilleure que dans les autres restaurants. Grandes options de viande, hôtel propre. Ne pas quitter l'hôtel. Les piscines sont agréables, la plage est mauvaise. Montego bay n'est pas l'endroit où aller. La ville est en désordre. Nous sommes allés dans toutes les Caraïbes dans différentes îles et la Jamaïque est la pire de toutes. Il y a de bien meilleurs endroits, moins chers et plus sûrs que la Jamaïque.

riu reggea montego bay hotel and people were great. Food at buffet was better than al cart restaurants. Great meat options, clean hotel . Do not leave resort. Pools nice beach is bad. Montego bay is not the place to go. The town is a mess. We have been all over the Caribbean to different islands and Jamaica is the worst of them all. There are way way way better places at cheaper prices and safer than Jamaica.

Amazing Fun Riu Resort

J'ai passé un excellent séjour au Riu Reggae. Le temps était magnifique, j'ai adoré la plage, un peu rocailleuse et au sable rugueux, mais pas trop d'algues flottantes ! Chambre propre, bonne nourriture et une équipe d'animation formidable. C'est la deuxième fois que je viens ici et je reviendrai !

I had a great time at the Riu Reggae. Wonderful weather, loved the beach, a little rocky and rough sands but not much floating seaweed! Clean room, good food and an amazing entertainment team. My second time here and will come back!
